Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to Your World Within Daily. I'm Eddie Panero, and in this episode, I want to talk about something I don't talk about enough, frankly. It's the idea of gratitude and how taking a second to think about the things you do have, as opposed to the holes that you need to fill or you feel that need to be filled in life, provide you a sense of stability and grounding that really transforms your day. The way you perceive your day and the way you actually move and take action, in your life. So for a few minutes here, we're going to talk about gratitude and the impact it can make. So I think the first time, you know, this really hit home with regard to the magnitude of, or just the effect it can have on your life was reading Darren Hardy's compound effect and just how much emphasis he places on being thankful, on highlighting those things that are important and that he has.
Starting point is 00:01:12 in his life. And, you know, it's really simple when you think about it. If you have, let's say a shape or a picture, right, you have a square with a hole in the center, you know, you can look at the hole or you can see the outside. It's just a different way of looking at the same thing, right? Or those pictures that have two different things. You can focus on one. You can focus on the other. Well, you always have this, there's always the idea or the premise that you can focus on what's not there or you can focus on what, what's, what? what's there. And the way you feel, which becomes the way you act, is very different depending on what you choose to see. And in that book, I remember every day, you know, he wrote something that he felt
Starting point is 00:01:59 was incredible about his wife and, you know, saved it up for a year and gave it to her as a gift. And I just thought it was a cool thing, like really taking the time to notice the positive and what he's grateful for. And I think we could all do that, right? In the morning, and I say the morning, because that's my quiet time. It doesn't have to be the morning. But, you know, obviously, chronologically sets the stage for the whole day. So taking two minutes to just think, man, you know, these are the amazing things in my life. These are the things that I'm happy for or happy about, grateful for changes things. So today I went outside and I just thought, you know, I'm going to take a minute or two and think about the things. that make me happy, right? And so today, my gratitude journal, shout out to my mom and my dad for just always having my back and always believing in everything I do. You know, my dad for knowing my video stats and channel numbers better than I do, my mom for always being positive, being supportive. My grandmother for calling me and, you know, saying, Ed, you're a, you're a Hollywood
Starting point is 00:03:15 movie star in the making, you know, just being so sweet, being so supportive. My brother, my sister, for being incredible and fun and just my partners in crime. And just thinking about that, you know, it just makes me feel like the luckiest guy in the world. So I wanted to give you guys a quick shout and just let you know that I'm thankful for you. I'm grateful for you. And no matter what happens throughout the day, ups, downs, highs, lows, I have you. And, you know, with all things considered, that makes life pretty damn good. So I appreciate it. And, hey, this is, this is an honest test. I feel amazing just doing this, right? And so, you know, I think, I think there's value to be had. I think there's value in taking time and reflecting on your own life in the incredible things,
Starting point is 00:04:14 because they are there. There are there. And it's, you know, when you're in the chaos of everyday life and the wheels feel like they're falling off the wagon, it's not intuitive to be like, oh, my God, my mom loves me, right? Or, oh, my God, my house, my dream house is there and I have a roof over my head or I have friends. it's just not the way we think, but it doesn't have to be like that. We can maintain focus on the incredible things in our lives
Starting point is 00:04:46 because good day, bad day, or in between. They're there. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. I hope you guys enjoyed this podcast and took something from it. If you did, please rate, subscribe, review. Helps me get it out to the world, and I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I'll catch you tomorrow.
