Who are you when everything is on the line?
Some moments they ask who you are.
And some, like this one, demand you prove it.
There's a quote by Admiral McRaven that states,
if you really want to change the world,
you must be your very best in your darkest moments.
And that's always resonated.
Because it's in our darkest moments,
that we learn how hard we can push when the mind whispers a retreat.
Not because it feels good, but because it's who you are.
Take a second and think about all the battles you've already fought.
The quiet and the loud, the subtle and the unmistakable.
Think about the mountains you've already climbed, the oceans you've crossed.
No one's path to get here was easy.
No one.
Yet, here you stand.
No, not to paint a new portrait of yourself,
but to frame the one you've been breathing life into for years.
Today you hold that flag higher than it's ever been held.
Today, it all comes together.
Today, you bring it home.
Look, there's only so much that man can control.
In many ways, he navigates a world far bigger than him.
A world that grins in places before him obstacles and adversity and challenges of all varieties.
As if it's pointing at its watch and saying,
You said you wanted this.
Well, prove it.
And as mere mortals renting time in the backyard of eternity, there's an infinite amount we cannot control.
That will always be true.
But your power isn't in dwelling on what's already been written.
It's in remembering what is yours to shape.
It's in reminding yourself that the future belongs to you.
Let's not forget that the circumstances placed before you.
don't dictate an outcome.
It's what's done with those circumstances that decides your fate.
It's not the pain or the hurt that writes your story.
It's your willingness to push through it all.
To find answers when they exist and to create them when they don't.
It's to let what little remains be enough the same way a seed becomes a forest.
It's finding a way when most of the world would say no.
that makes all the difference.
And I have news for you.
What's outside these doors,
what's waiting on the other side won't be easy.
It will take all of you.
It will force you to go further than you've ever gone
and find more than you've ever found.
Maybe you'll even learn things about yourself,
You never knew.
But you're in this situation right now
because you can.
Because there's no one better equipped or prepared.
There's no one more suited to take this moment
and etch it into eternity than you.
Do you see why those mornings you showed up were everything?
Do you see why the sacrifice was your map,
the dedication, your armor?
They weren't restraints, limited.
you. My friends, they made you. They separated you. They defined you. And now it's time not to recreate
the self, but to live up to that standard you've already set. I didn't set it. The world
didn't set it. You did. So before you step into that arena, remember, what's out there?
require all that you have.
But giving everything is who you are.
You'll find yourself fighting through exhaustion and discomfort,
but they're no stranger to you.
Moving through them, one courageous step at a time is who you are.
And the mind will tempt you, at least at times,
to give up or back off.
But you will give up nothing,
without a fight, you won't concede an inch without battle.
It's who you are.
No one gets to step into the arena and define your reality.
No one gets to dictate the code you live by
or diminish the resolve in your every breath.
No one.
There are no miracles here.
This is not a place of hopes or of dreams.
No, this moment is a moment
is about coming home to the greatness you've been cultivating for a very long time.
So step out into the world and finish the masterpiece you began long before today.
What's up, guys? Eddie here.
And before we jump into the next chapter, just a quick note.
So as many of you know, every single video that I've ever put on this channel has been
created with the intent of building momentum in your life.
If you want something physical to anchor that momentum,
we've created the brand AGMS,
or always grateful, never satisfied for that exact reason.
Athletic apparel that embodies the very ideas and concepts
I talk about every day.
Because you're watching on YouTube or Spotify,
we've created a code for this exclusive community,
YWW20.
You can use that on the website,
agns.lifestyle,
Well, right under this video on YouTube, all the stuff is there in the shop.
Again, code YWW20 gets you 20% off the entire store.
It's a great way to support the channel and also elevate your journey.
Let it be a reminder to keep showing up.
Appreciate your time.
Always grateful, never satisfied.
On to the next.
The thing about time is that it comes and goes.
Tomorrow will make today a distant memory
and as quick as you were here, you'll be gone.
What's in front of you is an opportunity to make right now
something you'll never forget.
You have the ability to write history
to create a story that will live with you forever.
Think back to all the days leading up to today.
All the training, the hours of preparation, the pain you felt,
They have brought you to this moment.
They are the armor that you wear.
Right now is about execution.
It's about taking all those hours and turning them into the best version of yourself.
Today is about being better than you ever dream you could be.
These are the moments you live for.
For the insecurities, the doubt, the disbelief, this day,
is yours. Look your opponents in the eye. They cannot give what you can. You have built this opportunity
piece by piece. You have created an unstoppable force and it's finally time to reveal that to the world.
Let people doubt you. They'll see with time. Let the obstacles stand. You will run right through them.
Let everything in this universe tell you know you have already told yourself yes.
The hardest thing in this world to stop is someone who knows they've won before the game has started.
This is your everything. Embracing.
Make it so that you never forget today.
You are the God of your world, and in your world, you write the script.
There is no tired. You left that in the weight room years ago. There is no unsure. Pushing yourself to exhaustion every day took care of that. There is only when. When do you rise up? There comes a point when you've just given too much. Your sacrifice is too great to accept anything but the very best. Everything else is noise.
This is your day.
It will not disappear with time.
It will live on.
You have earned today.
Go make sure the world knows.
That we must find it within ourselves to see that which is difficult.
It's when things seem hopeless.
Tragic.
It's when we feel lost that we forget a universal truth.
Behind every struggle, no matter how big there is a win.
An answer, an opportunity for recreation.
See, it's very easy in the midst of a storm to forget that it will pass.
The dark skies block out the light, so we forget the warmth of the sun.
And the wind and the rain, it forces us inside, so we forget
The perfection that is simply breathing in the cool air.
We forget that all storms have one thing in common.
They come and they go.
They are temporary.
And what they leave is hope.
Answers, the clearest, brightest of skies.
See, I'm not asking you to see something that's not.
There, I'm not asking you to imagine or live a life of make-believe.
I'm reminding you of what you already know exists behind those clouds. Better days, your solution,
your victory. I'm asking you to look to precedent. Because every day leading up to now
has had its adversity. The road to the current moment was paved with trials and tribulations
and what you've done every day until now is figure it out.
Find a way.
How many times do you have to prove to yourself that you have what it takes?
That you'll be okay, that within the depths of your soul are answers to any and every problem
that you face.
I know things aren't easy.
Maybe they even seem bigger, scarier, more overwhelming,
than they ever have.
But as adversity grows, so does your resilience.
And I'm not sitting here giving you something new
or an answer you didn't already possess.
All I'm doing is reminding you how incredible you are,
how much you've already overcome and how capable you are
of conquering whatever is next.
Sometimes in life, the difference between,
okay and great or stagnation and growth.
It is only a change in perspective.
It is how you look at the world and your place within it,
that little voice in your head,
reminding you that you are capable of things
beyond your current comprehension,
that your perceived best is a fraction
of what you're capable of.
Reality is manageable.
It's always manageable.
It's the fear that if we let it will be our demise.
And life's too short to bow down to a monster that doesn't even really exist,
that we created ourselves.
So let's commit to being the ones who find calm when others panic
and see opportunity where others see hardship
and see what can be gained when others.
when others remain fixated on what has been lost.
I love to simplify to find clarity in that which appears overwhelming and complex.
So here's the formula.
You minus negative thoughts equals infinite possibility.
You are capable of handling anything life throws at you.
In terms of potential and resources and ability, you are.
You can overcome.
The only thing that can make a situation debilitating or permanent is you deciding it so.
Therefore, the obstacle will never be life.
It will be your thoughts about life.
Your thoughts determine how you react.
That is reality.
Is it a lost job or an opportunity to begin again, to grow, to fall in love with something you've always wanted to do?
Is it lost time, loneliness, tragic seclusion, or a chance to write chapter one of your book,
scene one of your movie, lay the first brick of what will become your empire?
I've been sad and I've been happy and I've been broke and I've had money.
And I've felt alone and I've felt loved.
But through it all, every step, every trial, every tribulation I've come out,
stronger battle hearted cognizant of the fact that happiness was a choice money is
reacquirable that some people go but the ones that matter stay a part of you forever
life is a gift it's a gift when things are hard it is a gift when they are easy
it is always a so don't let your losses define you if you get back up it is nothing
short of a victory, armor that you now wear as you make your way into the world.
A world that can push you down, but it certainly can't keep you there, not if you don't let it.
For your mind, your body, your soul, made of the same elements that surround you, the same stars
comprising the universe, they have equipped you to weather.
any storm, outlast any earthly dilemma to anything and be anyone. Never forget that.
Never forget. You weren't put here to live in the shadows of life. To exist beyond the sun's grasp, to stay on the outside, looking in. No, you weren't put here to live in the shadows of life. To live.
in the shadows of life.
It's important to remember the difference between now and forever,
the distinction between today and tomorrow,
because from time to time they look deceptively similar,
especially when we inevitably find ourselves in the darkest of times,
when despite our best efforts,
our world is reduced to shadows, void of hope.
When tomorrow and today have merged into one endless entity, it always seems to be in these times.
That we forget that right now is just a moment, not an assigned permanent, but a bridge to something great.
As Victor Frankel says, if there is meaning in life at all, then there must be meaning in suffering.
We all suffer. We all hurt. We all go through periods of time where we're, we all.
We can't see or hear or feel anything beyond the darkness we find ourselves in, but it's there.
Darkness cannot be defined without light.
It's in the definition.
Darkness is a partial or total absence of light.
They need each other darkness and light.
The one thing that can bring darkness to its knees is out there, everywhere, all around it.
And if there was ever a reason to be hopeful, enthusiastic, if there's ever a reason to believe,
it's that a new life is always a light switch away.
It's that darkness is as temporary as the day.
And the antidote requires only that you believe it to be true.
Only that you find the resolve to reach one foot out, to remind yourself of the sun's warmth
and the infinite beauty of a world.
beyond this temporary darkness because you weren't put here to live in the shadows of life,
but to reemerge like a rocket through the earth's stratosphere to swing from star to star like life
is a playground and you make the rules. And I think when we look back we'll be nothing but
grateful for those times of darkness. They, in a sense, prepared us for us for.
the road ahead by giving us what we need most. Perspective. Life lessons. A roadmap to follow.
Because you don't appreciate the light. The sun. The clear blue skies, the wind on your face,
the sound of the waves, the chirping of the birds. No, you don't see the beauty in any of that
until even if for a moment it is taken away. You don't learn about life's abundance and
until you come face to face with scarcity.
You don't learn to give until you've had your world taken away.
You don't learn to love until you've experienced heartbreak.
You don't learn courage until you've been overcome by fear.
You don't learn to grow until you've been truly stuck.
You don't learn to believe until you've looked in the mirror and doubt peers back.
you don't know who you are
until you learn what you're not
see everyone finds themselves
having wandered into the dark
sometimes of their own volition
sometimes of fate
but like leaves changing color
in the fall
the earth on its journey around the sun
a wave emerging
and falling back into that
which it came it is not an end
but a beginning
Life's way of preparing us for what's to come, introducing us to the infinite possibility of tomorrow
because you weren't put here to live in the shadows of life, but to emerge from them, to light up the world.
No, you weren't put here to live in the shadows of life.
It's time.
The world will not stop spinning.
The clock won't stop ticking, days won't stop slipping by.
It's time.
Things won't suddenly get easier.
The difficulty does not remove itself.
The path does not narrow.
That perfect moment, it doesn't exist.
A flawless beginning is fiction.
The stars will never align for you.
It's time.
Not tomorrow.
Not someday down the road, but this very second.
See, you don't need all the answers.
You don't need to know or be sure or be armed with guarantees.
Your job.
Your only requirement is to begin.
It's time to trade beer for opportunity.
Someday for right now, it's time.
To stop thinking small, stop seeing what you want as a reach,
to stop looking at success as a stranger.
It's time.
To sit down and convince yourself that what you want can be accomplished.
When it's as real as the space in front of you.
When it's as probable as the completion of a single step, it will happen because it has to.
At some point that you're not simply playing conservatively.
You're not being a perfectionist.
It's not about being okay with where you are.
No, if we're going to get anywhere, let's be truthful.
Let's call it what it is.
These things, these ideas, these excuses are a derivative of fear.
The problem with possibility is that it's incredibly hard to quantify.
Technically, if you've never had it, you've never lost it.
And that is how we rationalize staying where we are.
That's why we compartmentalize the things we want most as dreams.
But for a second, let's be born.
bigger. Let's start from the premise that what life can provide or become is limitless. It is truly
infinite. And when you sit on an idea or you refuse to begin, you are in fact losing. Every single
thing around you, everything. At one point it began. At one point someone summoned the courage
to reach out and take what's in front of them.
Maybe you do the same.
Maybe you take that step.
Maybe the first few times go terribly wrong.
Maybe it's terrifying.
Maybe you find out who has your back, who your real friends are,
and maybe those truths scare you.
But guess what?
Guess what those steps turn into?
Confidence.
Amplified purpose and most importantly.
more steps.
You get to see right in front of you
as your demons diminish, evaporate.
The higher you climb,
the better, the view,
the longer the road, the greater the experience,
I would rather fall.
A thousand times and continuously
get back up stronger
than be someone who looks at the world
through a window like it's some fairy tale.
Because at the end of the day, sure, they have no scratches, scrapes, or bruises,
but I have no limits, and I'd make that trade any day.
It is time to stop separating what you want from what you have and take that step forward.
It's time to go get it.
No one is stopping you. Nothing is stopping you. And in fact, if you choose to be, you are unstoppable.
So take a look in the mirror, lace up your shoes, open the door, and begin.
It's time. What motivates you? No, not when things are great.
Not when you have momentum and you're feeling good. But what motivates you on your down day?
When things are a little off, not going the way you want them to, you took an L, angry with your progress, maybe even having a hard time
remembering why you got into the game to begin with.
What acts is your rope to latch onto and pull yourself back up to a good place?
Because after all, that's what it's all about, right?
The difference between a good day and a bad day, it's nothing more than the thoughts in your head.
You're walking down the street.
Something comes to mind that, you know, we've all been there.
You're happy about it.
You're excited about it.
It kind of lifts you up for a second.
You know, your day didn't change.
Nothing around you changed.
Your mindset did.
And that particular moment, that feeling is worth diving into
because it's incredibly relevant when we're talking about big picture pursuits,
working towards something that is a long way away.
I was just talking to a friend of mine, lives in Nashville,
incredibly talented guy, and he's working like crazy to get his music out there.
We were talking about our similarities as creators.
You know, and the idea that no matter how much time you put into something,
how hard you work, you never really know how the next song, video, speech,
or whatever piece of content, you know, how it's going to be received.
You just never know.
And that can be tough.
But where we got to,
in the discussion, and this is really my message to you,
that same rationale
can and should also be the spark that keeps you moving.
Because yes, you're uncertain, but you are also
always one creation away from your life changing.
And that's the reality.
We are all only one creation, decision,
or action away from altering our current
trajectory.
And that, I'll speak for myself during my difficult times is what I latch on to.
That excitement contained in the infinite possibility ahead.
Maybe I haven't seen progress for X amount of time, but guess what?
That says nothing about tomorrow.
And I've talked about that a million times.
Tomorrow can change faster than we can blink.
But you have to see that.
Consciously, be aware.
We all know how easy it is to look at our losses and think they're indicative of our potential or ceiling, but they're not.
The loss is the struggle, they are the seeds to growth.
And I wish every single person that's accomplished anything of significance had all their risks, setbacks, periods of self-doubt, and struggle documented somewhere,
so the world can see that avoiding pain and loss is not the formula.
It's knowing that pain and loss are part of the process and continuing through it.
Not taking it personal.
Failure is not personal.
It's the water that makes the plant grow.
See, 90% of the game is tricking yourself, positioning yourself to feel momentum.
Feel that progress.
The little steps in the long journey.
You know, setting up appointments.
events, creating visible benchmarks, even when they're tiny.
Because when you feel like you're progressing, you're empowered.
When you're empowered, you win.
Remember this.
The only way to lose in life is to stop.
It is to stop growing, stop progressing, stop failing, stop taking risks, that's it.
And yeah, that might sound simple, might sound easy, right?
Just don't stop.
But it's not.
And anyone in pursuit of something greater knows it's not.
When you're beat down, when you've written 200 songs and none of hit,
when you've spent money you don't even have on a film or a video when it doesn't get good reviews.
When you start a company or invest in a product that doesn't meet expectations,
the act of moving forward, it feels impossible.
But that is the magic.
I had a coach that used to always repeat the saying success is often simply hanging on when others are letting go.
Yes, you want to be great.
You should.
We all do, but being great comes with time.
It's skill.
It's ours.
It's commitment.
Moving forward takes no skill.
No talent.
Just self-belief.
And that can be accomplished right now.
That is a win you can pocket right now immediately.
And what I tell myself during those rough stretches, it is quite simple.
Any future step could be the one that changes my life.
As long as I continue forward.
I am one creation away from everything changing and so are you.
Something can come to life because of you.
When you're digging deep, when you feel like all the work, the energy is not paying off,
remind yourself that momentum, right, the wind,
at your back, the flipped switch that changes your life, as you know it, it is one step away.
And when you fall short, it is one step away.
And when you fall short, it is one more step away.
Because one of those steps will be it.
One of them will open that door you've been pounding on it.
It won't be because you did the impossible.
It will be because you convinced yourself to move forward when your doubt and your insecurity begged you to stop.
You knew.
You knew one of these at bats would be the one to change it all, and you didn't stop until one of them did.
