The things I say do, I'm always what I mean.
I'm neither saying or sinner, I'm somewhere in between.
You're never the only one is a brand spanking new podcast landing this autumn from me, Kat Sims, author, podcaster, content creator slash Instawanker, and oversharer.
Every Monday morning, I'll spill the beans on my recent experiences as a 41-year-old, anxious addict,
who's responsible for way more than I'm capable of managing,
including two young girls, a marriage, a business, an excessive amount of WhatsApp groups,
questionable mental health, sausage dog, a cyrus cat,
and an email inbox that currently has yet 1,445 unread emails.
I'll lay bare my toxic traits and fatal flaws,
chat them through and shine a light on the myth of the perfect wife, mother, woman,
human and hopefully prove that it's as realistic and as helpful as a Theranos thumbprick.
The hope is that sharing this stuff with you will make you laugh on a Monday morning,
but I also hope that it makes you feel a tiny bit seen.
I want us all to kick off the week, relaxed in the knowledge,
that our personal shit shows are not that unique and that, yep, you're never the only one.
In the first episode, I question our obsession with our kids having access to water at all times.
I don't want to be like our parents when they say things like, well,
we were slapped with a bat spiked with rusty nails and it didn't do us any harm because that's annoying.
audacity that our children have with this expectation that at any given moment I should be able
to produce water for them. Oh, we're on the bus. Water please. I'm in the car park. Water please. I'm on a
roller coaster. And first to you, where's my water, mummy? Like, it, what? And I basically save the
world by solving our issues with plastic and its impact on the planet. The answer to reducing plastic
when it comes to this stuff isn't saying, oh, everyone should have a reusable coffee cup or water bottle.
No. The answer is
you don't need to have a coffee on the go
and you can probably wait until you get home
to the office to drink a glass of water from the tap.
There's no guests.
It's just you and me talking big things with lots of laughs.
You're Never the Only One is a podcast
that I hope helps us all tap into
the more vulnerable, less defensive
and frankly, less twatty sides of ourselves.
You're Never The Only One is written and presented by me, Kat Sims, author of the first time
you smiled or was it just wind, and creator of Not So Smug Now, an online platform for those of us
who are waking up every day and just trying to do the best they can.

This world is complicated
Everything moves so quick
And lying to yourself
If you think that you've got to live
Everybody love
You're never the only one
You're never the only one
find a shame because everybody makes mistakes oh
