You're The Voice | by Efrat Fenigson - Break The Stake: How Corrupted Money Steals Your Energy - Jake Galt | Ep.163

Episode Date: September 17, 2026

Jake Galt is a recovering CPA turned author, marketer and entrepreneur who writes under a pen name borrowed from Atlas Shrugged. He began his career as an auditor and that front row seat to the hollow...ness of the fiat system sent him down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, first for the technology, then for number go up, and eventually for freedom go up. He is the author of “Break the Stake” which we discuss in this episode: a framework for how corrupted money produces corrupted incentives and inverted outcomes across every layer of society. He founded Headcount, a marketing agency built on a platform that ingests a client's brand and voice, aimed at Bitcoin companies. → Please like, comment, share & subscribe, to help me beat the suppressing algo's. Starting point is 00:00:00 They need us sick enough, not dead, but sick enough to where you just need this cocktail of like forever pills. They start with the food. The food isn't real food. Yes. The United States, that's supposed to be the freest place in the world. You're seeing surveillance through technology, actually, through technocracy. Fiat is the worst shit coin. There's a single issuer, unlimited supply cap. Like, it's fundamentally worse than Dogecoin. The soul is being harvested in a way in the Fiat matrix that is, the cruelest thing that's ever been done to humanity. That's not something you can really describe.
Starting point is 00:00:35 You have to feel it. It's like trying to explain to a blind person what's seeing is. We live in this world that it's always a false binary choice. It's either this or that. It's A or B. It's red or blue. Some of the most successful people I know are also in some of the most dead up to their eyeballs. And this is a feature, not a bug.
Starting point is 00:00:54 I had a front row seat to just how nonsense the Fiat space is because I was an auditor. And then you hear people in the market saying, oh, it's trading on multiple. So then I knew that, foundationally speaking, the market was based on nothingness. And I was like, wait, what is happening here? As much as the price is volatile,
Starting point is 00:01:09 I think the thing that's not priced in is the freedom. I'm just being me, you know? I'm just refusing to surrender to the slavery system. Hello, and welcome to another episode of You're the Voice. I have a flat, as usual, but I am in a different spot, as usual. Right now, I'm in Lake, Winipasaki, Winnipeasaki, New Hampshire
Starting point is 00:01:43 at Camp Nakamoto and I'm very happy to sit here with Jake Galt. Hey, Jake. Hey, how are you? I'm good. How are you? I'm doing great. Thanks for having me and what a beautiful setting for this, right? Isn't it? My first time out, it's new to me too, Winipasaki. This is my first time in New Hampshire. Okay. So I'm happy to be here
Starting point is 00:02:03 with a bunch of high signal like-minded Yes. You know, folks. So. Very fun crowd here. Yeah. And a very beautiful, I think, event to have in Bitcoin, not another conference, but rather a cap. I would agree. It's fun. Yep. So shout out to the organizers for putting this together.
Starting point is 00:02:22 I even managed to do some parkour this morning. Did you? Didn't realize how much I would enjoy that. Very cool. It's a lot more tough than I had anticipated. It is. Oh, I didn't even try. Well, tomorrow morning you have another chance.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Okay. Maybe I will. All right. So quick intro for my audience. It may not know you. Jake is a student of philosophy, history, and money, author of Break the Steak. Can you see that? Yes, break the stake. A framework for understanding how corrupted money produces corrupted incentives and inverted outcomes across every layer of society. He builds communities and content around the idea that sovereignty begins with exiting the Fiat matrix.
Starting point is 00:03:06 And let's start with the fact that Jake Galt is. is a pen name. Yeah. Why is that? So one of the foundational, the foundational thesis to the fact that we're in an extractive system like the Fiat Matrix, for me drew a parallel to Atlas Shrugged. It took me a couple of attempts to finish that one. It was a rather long read, but once I got into it, it felt like it was speaking to what living in today's world feels like. In Atlas Shrugged, If you're unfamiliar, society at large is mooching and extractive of those who are productive members of society. So those who are producers are approached by a character named John Galt. It becomes this underground thing where everyone says, who is John Galt?
Starting point is 00:03:53 This is how people kind of spoke about, are you going to break free from this system? And in the book, they all go to Galtz Gulch, where producers live in harmony, exchanging value for value. there are no free rides. And for me, the parallel is too perfect in that Bitcoin seemingly represents digital Galtz Gulch. So many of the folks here and that you've met along the way, I love your podcast and all the folks you talk to, the producers in society. Yes, they are.
Starting point is 00:04:24 You know, we all found each other in this place, even though it's not exactly a place. It's a digital place, but it's more of a network. And anyways, like the premise, came like, you know, Jake Galt as my alter ego or pen name. And so I was branding the book who is Jake Galt. And for me, that was the representation of, you know, the producers being able to come together, you know, in a like-minded way in digital Galtz Gould's, so. Very cool. So what had you, let's start at first with your background. So where'd you come from? Why have you decided to write a book that you do today?
Starting point is 00:05:02 Probably one of the least likely people to write a book. I really wasn't a fan of reading at all until I kind of started going down the rabbit hole that many of us do in the Bitcoin space. Once upon a time when I graduated, I talked to Cedric earlier. I'm a recovering CPA. So I had a front row seat to just how nonsense the Fiat space is because I was an auditor. And we'd go into these companies, we'd audit the financials. Then there'd be a negotiation and the C-suite would say, we don't want you to report that or whatever. And our partners would say, okay.
Starting point is 00:05:39 And I'm like, what are we doing here exactly? And then you hear people in the market saying, oh, it's trading on multiple. So then I knew that, foundationally speaking, the market was based on nothingness. And I was like, wait, what is happening here? Fast forward. I get into sales and IT. The technology side of things got me interested in Bitcoin in the first place. Then the number go up.
Starting point is 00:06:00 ideas got me really interested in Bitcoin. But then the thing that I most appreciated about a lot of what you do is the freedom go of aspect of it. That's what really, I think, you know, you come for the number go up, stay for the freedom. I think for me it's become a spiritual and a philosophical journey. And anyone who dives in seemingly ends up there in talking to them. So yeah, that's my very abridged version of how I got here. But I built a business with partners. It was going quite well.
Starting point is 00:06:30 enough to where venture capital got involved. I wasn't interested in that. That's why we built in the first place. Ended up separating ways at the time that I'm kind of jotting down ideas for the book. And then I realized like, man, you know, am I just going to re-rack this or should I look deeper at what all of this is about? You know, we're staking ourselves to this fiat system. And it's just the same thing. It's never enough. And as a sales guy by nature, it's more next month, more next quarter, more next year, there isn't enough. Never. Never.
Starting point is 00:07:03 It has to continue growing. Because the Fiat matrix is predicated upon something inherently lacking. Because it's extractive. It's soul-sucking. There's always something more that you have to give of yourself. And this is, you know, from a premise, like, we all know that Fiat is the worst shit coin. There's a single issuer, unlimited supply cap. Like, if it were written down like an alt coin, it would, no,
Starting point is 00:07:29 No one would it would it would it's fundamentally worse than Dogecoin. I mean if you if you if you look at it line by line it is yeah and that's a joke So um, you know for me it what makes it worse though is it's not just the worst fundamentally. It's a proof of stake system And you have to stake yourself ever harder along the way to even keep up let alone to get ahead you got a lever up This whole premise that it's not enough you know some of the most successful people I know are also in some of of the most dead up to their eyeballs. And this is a feature, not a bug. It is a feature for sure. So have you left your Fiat job then? I have. Yeah, I'm building. So we were just talking about this a little bit. We live in this world that it's always a false binary choice. It's either this or that. It's A or B. It's red or blue. Right. And my contention is it's actually never A or B.
Starting point is 00:08:27 It's some combination of A and B. Instead of endpoints, it's on a scale or whatever. So I did leave that situation. The vibes were not great. And I was just seeking better vibes. So, you know, I found him in my digital friends, like all of you in this space. And I've, you know, had been spending time trying to figure out, how do I build into this? I'm kind of, I'm building a business that is taking on the traditional marketing agency space.
Starting point is 00:08:55 So it's still catering in the Fiat world. But I do offer big discounts for people paying in Bitcoin. So that's kind of like my spin on it. But I still very much live somewhat in the Fiat world. And I'm building a business into it. My wife has a corporate job. She's a stud in that space. So, you know, we're not, we haven't unsubscribed necessarily.
Starting point is 00:09:20 We're spending as much time in digital golf sculptures as we can. We're taking our girls to El Salvador to El Zantes. So that'll be fun. Awesome. In November? Not in November. I think we're in February. That was supposed to be a surprise for them.
Starting point is 00:09:33 They're studying Spanish right now. So it was my fault. I gave that out. But it's a cool story about them. We pay my daughters their allowance in Satoshi's. Yes, great. And they both wear Bitcoin, you know, shirts and beanies and whatnot to school. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:48 They said, Dad, no one in class really knows what Satoshes are. I'm like, well, did you tell them? And they're like, well, yeah. And they're like, how can we tell more people? I'm like, well, we're not really a device family, but you're going to need the internet for that. So I recently secured them the domain, the SatoshiSisters.com. Oh, awesome. And a primal account, the Satoshi Sisters.
Starting point is 00:10:07 So, like, we haven't done anything with it, but they're the Satoshi sisters. That is really smart. And as soon as, like, you know, we feel comfortable. 11 and 9. So I'm not, you know, the online thing and whatever. But, like, we're brainstorming about how to, you know, build a business or brand them. or, you know, come up with content that other kids their age might connect with. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:31 And I think this is a great place to give a shout out to my friend Alana, who has a channel for teens and kids called, Let's Talk About Sats. And she does, yes, and she does TikTok, Instagram, like where the kids are at, one minute video clips to just open their minds about financial. It's amazing. Independence and, yeah, financial education. And she's so good. She's a mom.
Starting point is 00:10:59 She's got three kids. So she was like, there's a void. We need to fill it. The kids need to learn what Satoshis are and how they save money and why this is important and how this is different from Fiat. So, you know, if they can step into that scene and do and create content for the younger generation, I think that is so important. Yep.
Starting point is 00:11:22 On October 1st and 2nd, I'll be at the Expat Money Summit. Join me if you're serious about building your plan B right now. And if you're interested in the VIP ticket, to watch my panel, stick around to the end. As you may know, I've been a digital nomad for the past couple of years with the intention of finding my next home. That's exactly why this summit comes spot on for me in the middle of my own research process. I'll be speaking at a panel called escaping the technocratic truce. Where is your freedom safest? The summit theme is freedom is rising in Latin America,
Starting point is 00:11:59 and it's all about the region's growing opportunities. Over the two days of the summit, you learn about second residences, international real estate, offshore banking, asset protection, tax optimization, and global investing in Latin America. The summit is totally free, but you need to register in advance.
Starting point is 00:12:17 The VIP ticket gives you access to unlimited replays, limited replays and VIP only panels, head over to expatmoneysummit.com and reserve your free ticket or use the code afrat for 30% off VIP ticket. Expatmoneysummit.com. Ever find yourself needing cash but refusing to sell your Bitcoin? That's real life for many Bitcoiners. Because most Bitcoin sells aren't financial decisions.
Starting point is 00:12:47 They're liquidity decisions. And that's exactly what Leden solves. Letton is the global leader in Bitcoin-backed lending. They've issued over $10 billion in loans since 2018 with a perfect track record for protecting client assets. Here's what makes Leiden different. With their custodied loans, your Bitcoin collateral is not lent out to generate interest. No credit checks, no monthly payments, and no penalties for early repayments.
Starting point is 00:13:14 You apply in minutes and you repay whenever you want. Lennon also publishes proof of reserves reports every six months with full transparency. So if your capital is in Bitcoin, but your expenses are not, you still have options. Leden lets you unlock liquidity without selling your Bitcoin. Learn more at ledden.io slash effrat and get a quarter percent off your first loan. That's LEDN.io slash effrat. So, you know, we're doing what we can. Right? Still, I'm still, I'm not at that previous jobs, you know, but we're building where we can bridges.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Because as you and I were just talking about before, you kind of have to coexist in the Fiat matrix and in the Bitcoin matrix. Yeah. And just building a strong enough bridge between the two. So if and when we're ever compelled to by, you know, nation states run amok, which I mean, arguably is already really happening. But if, you know, if they're coming in minority report style, like, hey, we know that you're going to do something with Bitcoin. And so we're going to take it from you, like, I don't want to flee the scene. I'd rather fight to make something wonderful and great. But you also have to recognize sometimes that if you're fighting to revive a carcass, it's a futile effort. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:36 You know, is it dead? How long dead is it? Or can you revive it, right? And if it's long dead and rotten, at some point you're like, hey, I'm not. I probably shouldn't be dabbling this thing anymore. And I'm not saying we're there or not. I'm just saying like having the freedom. I'm saying we're there.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Yeah. Yeah, you're not wrong. You're not wrong. There's a lot. I mean, depending on where you are, but I think, like where you are geographically. But I really do think that even in places where you think you're not, you are. Yeah. Because they're building everything around you to enable that.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Is it show your paper stuff? You just had that in Australia. It's going to be every. It's just like. seeping in everywhere. Look at the UK. Get over. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:18 And the UK is like a proper Western country. But if people still want to live in La La Land. I don't even think I could go there. I bet I'd be apprehended for, you know, offensive tweets or something. Maybe. But it's not about that. Like even in the United States, that's supposed to be the freest place in the world, you're seeing surveillance through technology, actually, through technocracy.
Starting point is 00:15:42 creeping in everywhere. You're seeing Palantir getting contracts, you know, to do pre-crime checks on you, meaning before you even have done anything, you're in their system. And arguably Palantir was just, you know, the child of like the CIA in the side anyways or whatever. Like that's the seed program that they came out of anyways.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Well, it is in Quito. This is public information. It's not a conspiracy. Yeah. Doa? Okay. All right. Sorry if we're bursting any bubbles here, but that's my job. So the book, I've read half of it more or less. It's very good. I really like it and it's very easy to read. I'm sorry, I haven't finished it. No, I know you say plenty busy. In parallel. But can you give us like the TLDR on the book? Yeah. So a starting premise is, you know, I didn't feel as though I should write a book or needed to about the benefits of, or the efficacy of Bitcoin because I'm not going to do as well as or certainly not better than
Starting point is 00:16:48 Lin Alden or safe for the in or, yeah, or Larry Lepard, like any of them. Like there is ample. They're so good. Doc, there are there ample assets out there that you should pursue? So what I did was I spoke to the existence as most normies know it, right? The constant consumption, the it's never enough, the, you know, polarization. of not only politics, but everything, right? The fact that, you know, if we're the ants in the jar,
Starting point is 00:17:18 we're fighting with each other versus the hand that's shaking us, all of those kind of things that generally speaking are pretty widely accepted by normies and bitcoiners alike and really just calling attention to why that is a result of a bastardized and corrupted money. And if the governments or, you know, frankly, those above the governments didn't have control of issuing limitless funny money, and then charging us interest for them creating something out of thin air,
Starting point is 00:17:46 they wouldn't be able to put their thumb on our behaviors and get desired outcomes like they can. I mean, this is why the whole adage of Bitcoin fixes that becomes a meme. It's true because everything at its core in the Fiat matrix is born from the fact that our incentives are downstream from money and the money's corrupted. And you show me an incentive and I'll show you the outcome. I mean, Munger said it best, right, even though he was a Bitcoin hater.
Starting point is 00:18:12 So I think the cool part about it, though, is, you know, folks that you wouldn't ever consider trying to even orange pill. My mother-in-law is one of my favorite people. I hadn't really considered trying to orange pill her necessarily, but she was proud of me that I wrote a book, and she doesn't read books, but she read it. And the last time she came to our house to help with our girls, she was like, A, like, tearing up about how cool it was and how much she enjoyed the book. And B, wanted me to help her, so I helped her download strike. I sent her first. That's like this thing is resonating with people in a way that like I'm not telling them here's why Bitcoin solves everything. I'm saying you can accept the fact and look around that it's uncomfortable to acknowledge that those in power don't have our best interest in mind.
Starting point is 00:18:58 If anything, it's the opposite. Like as soon as you can acknowledge that, which is a hard thing to do. It is very hard. Dissonance is a thing. It's one of the hardest things. Yeah. For people. But if you give enough examples of just how.
Starting point is 00:19:12 blatantly obvious, like, how messed up the Biot Matrix is. And then you show, well, this is why, like, for example, in the book, one of the chapters is health care with a strike through. Yes, sick care. But we go. Yeah. So the reason for that is quite obvious. Like 17% of the US GDP, and probably similarly across the world, is health care. So like, literally the entirety of our markets are predicated upon the population being sick enough to maintain 17% of GDP because if we were all healthy, that would crater. Right. And as with the whole market.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Right. If you just, so like they need us sick enough, not dead, right? But sick enough to where you just need this cocktail of like forever pills. More pharma. More pharma. You know, it all bleeds into. And so like the book just gets into how like they start with the food. The food isn't real.
Starting point is 00:20:09 food. Yes. And you can go in the grocery store and just walk the perimeter and see the real food. And then then you wonder, what is all the middle? If this is the real food, then what is all of these rows? All the middle is like the flashy colors. Yes. That needs to grab your attention. Yes. You grab them off the shelf and not the real food. And that is what gets you into the sick care system. And then sick care prescribes you pharma because you're sick because the food isn't food. I mean, And this whole, that's why I'm like, you have to break your stake from this matrix we're in. You know, it's why I think, you know, this whole Neo and the Matrix stuff resonates so interestingly with the Bitcoin kind of journey that most people go on.
Starting point is 00:20:52 And so that's kind of the TLDR is, you know, you just point out for folks what's plainly obvious to them. Yep. And once you have them acknowledging that, yes, this is in fact my lived reality, then you can say, okay, well, that's because of. them, whoever they are, the hierarchy exploiting you, controlling the money. And if you simply start removing their control over you by taking control over your own money, it's not going to happen overnight, right? Just like you're not going to get yourself healthy from eating one real meal, right? It's a journey.
Starting point is 00:21:28 And when I sign my book, I say, one journey, many steps. And again, that's because it's not A or B. You have to take that journey. you have to make a decision every day to unstake yourself in some way, shape, or form. And eventually, I feel like if enough of us do that, Bitcoiners and Normies alike, if we just start walking, right? Every marathon begins with one step. If we just start walking in that direction, on that journey, make concerted efforts where we can, right?
Starting point is 00:21:58 Yeah, we still have to spend Fiat to do stuff, right? And that's not a gotcha. I'm the Bitcoin. Yeah, it's like, okay. Right. Just put some of your Bitcoin towards that. If you live on a Bitcoin standard, some of your Bitcoin will be converted to Fiat, to leave. It's fine. I'm the crazy Bitcoin guy and my friend group like most of us are, obviously. They're always like, so. So how do you buy groceries? And like, granted, I could tell them about when I went to El Salvador, but like, it's no longer a got
Starting point is 00:22:27 you to me. I'm like, I'd rather, you know, Gresham's law states that I would rather spend that on groceries anyways and save in Bitcoin. Right. Right. So. So, yeah. One of the last sections of the book is break the stake free or soul. Why are we freeing our soul when we break the stake? Yeah. So my ultimate, the part of the journey that I'm on right now in Bitcoin is a decidedly more spiritual and philosophical one. I'm a huge believer in frequencies, vibrations, energies.
Starting point is 00:23:02 You either have good vibes with somebody or you don't. I think that's a real thing. I don't think that's just like, just because we can't see it doesn't mean it's not real. I think the soul is being harvested in a way in the Fiat matrix that is the cruelest thing that's ever been done to humanity. And we see that manifested in wars and everything we've just talked about. But quite literally, something that everyone just accepts as a law of nature, like 2% inflation. Like, it's just a thing.
Starting point is 00:23:32 Like, this is a man-made construct, and it's literally stealing our life's energy. Yep. Like, a lot of us talk about how you store energy and store your life energy and time in Bitcoin. Yeah. I mean, it's a direct theft. And no one really who's involved in or being stolen from knows or acknowledges that, for the most part. Mm-hmm. And I think that becomes soul-sucking.
Starting point is 00:23:57 The scarcity, it drives in people the never enough feeling. the ego where you're not just able to be present and be the observer because something's missing. Oh, I need to, if I just had this thing or if I just was able to go to this thing, like, it's never going to be enough. And that's why I think the only way to free your soul is to break your stake to this proof of stake shit coin that is fiat and everything that comes along with that, the control mechanisms that they have in place, all the levers they can pull to ensure that it will never be enough and to gen us up into some sort of fake conflict with one another. The only way to free our souls is to step by step take their power away from them over us in that regard, in my
Starting point is 00:24:41 opinion. I agree. That is the silent revolution. That is the way that you starve the beast slowly. You just have to slowly starve of oxygen, right, little by little. Exactly. And this is the sly roundabout way that, you know, I think it was freedmen, talk about how you need to, if anyone were to ever take over the monetary system, like, we're not going to be able to slay it head on. You just have to snuff it out, basically. And the only way to do that is to take active steps and to be intentional. And this is why it always gets back to me some meditative kind of spiritual things. We have to be intentional about what we're doing.
Starting point is 00:25:18 We have to care about how we spend our time, how we place our attention, and what money we're spending where. So, yeah, a lot of people think it's crazy that you start talking about the spiritual side of things when most people know Bitcoin for a number go up. But I think that's what's not priced in is the freedom. It is the spiritual journey. It's the purity of the system. It's the health of work, right? Like working for something. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Anything worth having, you have to work for. Yeah. Like, otherwise you have a tragedy to the commons and everyone's got access to. it becomes no longer precious. So I think ultimately, once people get on that journey, that's where really, and this is why I started into Bitcoin isn't for you. So I don't know if you've seen anything that I've done on this, but I'm like everyone. I think Bitcoin's for you and your enemies is for anyone.
Starting point is 00:26:15 But I've started actually saying, you know what Bitcoin actually isn't for you, right? Some of my Normie friends who like to like RAS or whatever, like I'm, I'll jump in with the best of them and orange pill until I'm like beat up. I actually love jousting a little bit. It's fun for me. But at some point you just kind of get exhausted by it. And I'm kind of like, you know what? You're right. Bicklin isn't for you. And that it's amazing how they're suddenly like, well, why not? And I'm like, no, no, don't worry about it. Like you probably wouldn't get it. And they're like, what do you mean I wouldn't get it? And I'm like, oh my God, I just stumbled on to something here. So I'm calling it, it's like a joke. It's their advice.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Yeah. That's what you're doing more. But I stumbled into it. I didn't even realize. So I'm calling it the Biffy series. Bitcoin isn't for you. Okay. And so like I'm finding little things here and there where I'm like, you know what,
Starting point is 00:27:04 Bitcoin isn't for because Bitcoin is for anyone who's ready for it. Yeah. But candidly, it's not for those who are. Like everyone gets Bitcoin at the price they deserve. So I'm just stating it in a different way. And I figure I've said enough words and used enough of my attention and time trying to like open people's eyes. I'm like, you know what? You should just keep them closed.
Starting point is 00:27:25 like, well, what if I want to open them? I'm like, now we're talking. Okay. Like, let's flip the script a little bit. I love it. Yeah. I love it. And yeah, I really do think that as Bitcoiners, we feel like we've discovered something great and we want to share it with the while, which is very natural phenomena. But we don't need to work hard. The first thing we need to remember is that our energy is the most precious thing and we have to take care of it and nurture it properly. If we find ourselves in discussions with people,
Starting point is 00:27:55 that tire us, that, you know, after those discussions we feel depleted, they're not good for us. We don't need to be there. Yep. I would disengage and just continue delivering, deliver your message to the world in a way that you feel good about, like you feel like you have spoken and said what you have to say and maybe even educated people. And you just put it out there. They will pick up on it if they're ready.
Starting point is 00:28:27 It's not yours to force down their throat. Yeah, this takes you back to the vibes. And we get right back to energy. Because to your point, when you feel depleted, that exchange of energy, it just gross. Like, this is why I had my, you know, Vibes Capital Management Show on earlier. Like, I believe in good vibes. I've always said I'm searching in search of good vibes on this ride through the matrix is kind of like my thing. Right.
Starting point is 00:28:53 And that's not something you can really describe. You have to feel it. Like, words can't, it's like trying to explain to a blind person what seeing is. You just experience good vibes. And so like to your point, if you're in a situation where it's the opposite of that, I agree with you. You just kind of have to unsubscribe and be like, look, I'm, this isn't cool for me. Like, it's not you, it's me.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Yeah. I'm out, you know? The Biffy series, though, like, I enjoy it because I'm not even exasperated. I'm just like, no. You're amused by it. It's fantastic. It's great. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:25 No, that's great. Because that is a great way to consume your, to use your energy. Yeah. By entertaining yourself and others. And then the whole exchange, the whole dialogue is light. Yep. It's not heavy and burdensome. It's a good exchange.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Yeah, it's great. In good faith, I think. For sure. And I think that's, yeah, you could, I think this is something that people do. don't do enough. I have it and I do it because I'm well trained in marketing for 20 years, but this is the way I rolled as a marketeer for many, many years. I've always put myself in the seat of the other person that I speak to. And I would think about what I'm saying, how what I'm saying is landing for them in their listening, how would it make them feel,
Starting point is 00:30:18 why would it create some kind of an antagonizing feeling or why would it land well? And that is an exercise that most people don't do. They don't spend the time to try and being the other person's seat. They just think about themselves because we're so egocentric. We're so like we just think about ourselves and what we have to say and what we want to do. So it's a good exercise from time to time to like take the finger out and try and re-execry and try and re-execry. be there with the other person and the key to it is listening. If you really listen, you will pick up on a lot of signals and cues to how you made that
Starting point is 00:30:58 person feel or what they understood or what they didn't. And yeah, and like take the feedback. Which ultimately, to your point, kind of feels like getting back into being present for that. Yeah, right. You know what I mean? Right. And I think ultimately, you know, approaching things from a place of abundance and not like, like there's something missing is the only way to do that, like to actually engage with the person
Starting point is 00:31:23 and be present for it as opposed to like being concerned about whatever is happening elsewhere in your mind, just quieting the mind and being able to be there for it is super cool. That's right. That's right. A hundred percent. Yeah. Oh, I love it. You're the Voice is brought to you by Treasor, the original Bitcoin hardware wallet company pioneering the development of self-custody for crypto assets since 2013, empowering individuals with an open-source device, enabling beginners and experts to easily and securely hold their coins. I find my Treasurer super easy to use and recommend it to my friends and family. Enjoy my 5% discount on Treasurer product by clicking the link in the show notes and using the code
Starting point is 00:32:04 aflat. I want to introduce you to abundant mines because they take a very different approach to Bitcoin mining. Most people buy Bitcoin, but the smart ones mine it straight into self-custody. With abundant mines, you can do it. without giving up your privacy. Abundant Mines was founded by Bo and Christine Marie Turner, a couple who lost more than half a million dollars
Starting point is 00:32:26 to providers making empty promises. Instead of walking away, they build a company that raises the industry standard and puts client first, and that's why I like them. With abundant mines, you own your machines. They never touch your Bitcoin, never skim a revenue share, and you choose your own mining pool.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Their customer care is unusual, As usual, clients speak to a real person for self-custody education, privacy consulting, and even visiting their site. They serve clients from around the world, but U.S. investors specifically enjoy a big tax benefit and 100% bonus depreciation. This is more than just mining Bitcoin. It's about freedom, privacy and purpose. You can book a free strategy call, see how it works, and mine some of your first Bitcoin for free with a special offer for my audience. offer for my audience. Learn more on abundant minds.com slash effort. Oh, there's so much more I can say,
Starting point is 00:33:26 but let me see. Okay, so the book is out there. It's been out there for a few months now or a year? Yeah, it's been out there for about a year. How do people get it if they want to get it? So you can, everyone can find me. I'm, who is Jake Galt and Jake Galt on X? You have a nice website, by the way. Thank you. Is it vibe card? No, I, so I have an IT background. So, so. I have an IT background. So So, have you seen the marketing agency one? I'll have to show you that one. No, I saw the break the stake.com. Who's Jake Go?
Starting point is 00:33:54 Yeah. So I think you'll like the other one too. Okay. I'll have to show it to you. And I didn't know you had a marketing background. I'd love to get your feedback on that. But yeah, no, just kind of a labor of love. In fact, the marketing agency was born out of me writing this book.
Starting point is 00:34:09 And so my brother-in-law was like, how are you going to get the word out? And I was like, I guess I'm just going to go talk to people. You've got to do marketing. That's awesome. And this is what sales guys don't get. I got to get this stuff that's in my gut out there to the world. I'll write a book. Great. A million other people wrote books. And no one knows because they don't care about the commercial side of it, about the marketing side of it. And it's as important. It's not more. Because what's good is it sitting on the shelf for no one knowing that it exists? So as a sales guy too, you know, the sales and marketing always has like this perpetual struggle of like who's doing more. Yeah. And as a sales guy. I'm like, well, I'm just going to go sell the idea to people, I guess. Right. So, yes, to your point, that was a vastly overlooked aspect of this whole operation.
Starting point is 00:34:55 But where I have had it land, it's landed so well that this is why I'm like kind of talking to some of the folks here about, you know, potentially doing a second edition or I don't know. Okay. Some other way of getting the message out because it lands quite well. But yeah, if anyone wants to know more about it, it's just www.b.b.b.b.breakthes.com or who is Jake Galt on Buck X and Primal. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:16 So we'll talk more because maybe I want to have, when I grow up, I want to have a nice website like J-Co. Yeah, let's do it. It'd be awesome. I'm down to talk at any time. What's next for you? What are you working on? What do you want to, what do you want people to know? Oh, man, that's, that's an interesting one. Well, let's reward this. If you were sitting with a podcaster being interviewed about your life and about your book, what would you like the audience to know? Isn't that like the whole purpose of why we're here? Why we're here and what we're doing? I'm joking. Just like take your time. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:35:50 I mean, look, it would be, it'd be amazing to grow this business. Yeah. You know, I'm, I. Do you want to provide services to Bitcoin companies? I would like that. Okay. Yeah. Startups, any type?
Starting point is 00:36:02 Global companies? Any, any really. Like, so we're basically operating like a traditional marketing agency, except we don't have the entire payroll. And instead of like vibe coding our way in, I got with my brother-in-law. So I wrote the book, didn't think through how to bring it to market. And he's like, well, you, what? Like, you've got to get it.
Starting point is 00:36:24 And I was like, okay, so he brings this thing to me, which is basically like a dashboard that was already programmed as a like a marketing arm of break the stake. And so it was already pre-programmed in. So if I wanted any kind of social posts or blogs or whatever in my voice, it had digested the book. It had digested all of the blogs that I had done on my website, everything. And I was like, dude, this is a product. Yeah. And so that was about nine months ago. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:57 What we've been doing since then is taking that and commercializing it basically. So now what it is is it this dashboard where as we're serving our clients, we ingests your business, right? You can context switch. So when you drop down, if like there are multiple lines of business, immediately it's a whole different company profile brand Bible and any request you make of it are already like pre-programmed in with the color tones voice all of the things right and we have given our clients the ability to log in so that when we create a content pack or a blog or whatever again this isn't just AI working we're humans running the strategy finishing touches but
Starting point is 00:37:38 we're using this programmed platform yeah to help us scale in a way that like we can can serve people better than a traditional marketing agency so we have faster turnaround times whereas traditional agency spend might be $15,000 or $20,000 a month for some of these companies. We can come in and do it for $10 or less, depending on what the deliverables are because we don't have the content rare, the SEO specialist. Right, right, right, right. Like the payroll of 12 people. You have an automated product.
Starting point is 00:38:05 So we're trying to use AI in a way that makes sense. AI is not going to take over everything because AI is mimicking humans. Yes. And they're mimicking the internet in a way that, like, as more and more of the internet becomes AI-based output, it's got, I think it might even be recursive at times. Yes. We're already in the dead internet where more than half of it is slop. Yes. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:27 So what happens when all these models are modeling after slop? Right. Are we getting better or worse? No, this is, it lacks the creativity and the human ingenuity, the consciousness, the spirit. Absolutely. Yeah. So it cannot replace. So.
Starting point is 00:38:42 can just be a good assistant. We're using it as a great tool. We have built this pretty slick platform. Clients can log in. We can coordinate, submit it for review. As soon as they approve it, it's scheduled, and it federates over to their socials. So it's now scheduled on a calendar view. So it's like a cool thing.
Starting point is 00:39:01 I love it. Even if Bitcoin went to whatever, pick a number tomorrow, a million, or I don't care. Like, I'm going to want to do stuff. Yeah, exactly. And you, you, the Born to Be Free, P and Elaine, like all of y'all are just, you're just doing, you can just do things. You can do things. I think it's just like a cool idea to like just do things in a space that you really care a lot about. I would have thought that saying a sentence like that would one day be a thing we need to say.
Starting point is 00:39:33 It's like how profound. How profound that doing stuff is actually pretty cool. Yes. But I mean, it is true. And like, y'all, you born to be free, y'all are doing things. And you can. Everyone can. And so I'm just trying to find things that like make, that aren't soul sucking, the soul fulfilling.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Yes. And fantastic. I don't know what that means tomorrow. Well, I think you are paving a very good way. I think that a lot of my audience will be happy to give you a call and ask you how they can work with you. Because many people in this space need marketing assistance. and they don't know where to start and it can be very daunting
Starting point is 00:40:14 when you don't have the experience. Yeah. So I think you stepping into that space is a great thing. That's cool. Yeah. And I appreciate that. So they can reach out to me
Starting point is 00:40:25 on any of those or the website is just www. www.a.aiheadcount.com. And it'll give you a feel. We'll put a link to it. Yeah. Anyone who wants to go check it out, it's like, we give a much better idea
Starting point is 00:40:37 of how it works. We have videos of the console and whatever. I didn't anticipate that we would go into that in this session, but I think it's cool because, like, we're just trying to do things. Well, why not? I mean, people need to know what is out there. This is why I do the podcast, because I want to make those connections
Starting point is 00:40:53 so that people can live a better life and that can help some companies or people, small businesses too. Hey, what is one stake in your life that you haven't broken yet? There may be a few, but I want to hear about the one that really bugs you the most. Ah, the steak that bugs me the most. I, you know, I think inevitably when you're straddling the Fiat matrix and the Bitcoin
Starting point is 00:41:19 matrix, it can feel like I'm, I don't know if being a fraud is right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Imposter syndrome is like something gross. I'm breaching something. Yeah. And like just continuing to go through like the of parts of life, I'm just like, what am I doing? I know what you mean. Right? And like, I don't know how to not do that because sometimes you just have to or whatever.
Starting point is 00:41:44 But like that is the thing for me, which I can't really really dis. Yeah, I cringe. Yeah. Right. And I can't exactly explain why or when. But when you know, you know, this is kind of like explain to a deaf person what it sounds like. Right. What it's like to hear.
Starting point is 00:42:01 You can't. So like that is something that I think is going to be real hard to break because as much as like, I'm around. a bunch of people who like have effectively won the fiat matrix right and so for me what is winning what do you mean like they've exited they've exited yeah in come on i'm saying in the monopoly game all right hold on i call bullshit because i'm not saying they haven't won they may have great life and i will give them bad but what i'm saying is winning is not just the money is not just like well i said win in the fiat matrix that doesn't mean people have great lives okay okay that's what i meant so like some of these people aren't particularly fit.
Starting point is 00:42:40 And they would trade places with me. Exactly. Because even though I, you know, I'm not on the part place and boardwalk or whatever of the monopoly board, right? So there are things that there are facets. I'm not saying like they've figured it all out because clearly I don't think that. But when you talk about the monopoly board, right, they've won that game, right? And so then when I'm talking about like, this is why Bitcoin is better, this is why the Fiat matrix
Starting point is 00:43:03 sucks. Effectively, these people are like, dude, what are you like? And I'm like just because I am talking about it doesn't mean it's not true. But they because they like are on the park place and boardwalk thing. And I'm like, we should not play this game anymore. And they're like, why would I not play this game anymore? So they're still in the hierarchical model. For the most part, people that I.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Yeah. So that they have not won anything because they have not figured out. But they don't know that they. That life can be peer to peer collaborative, value to value, voluntary and just like you need to want the other party to win as much as you do because that's real prosperity for life and that's abundance then they haven't figured out anything they haven't won any game I'm sorry just the fiat game just the fiat part of the game it's just money it's just money I know I agree I agree just like it helps you get stuff yeah and in their world like it
Starting point is 00:44:00 buys them some freedom or at least in their mind it does I by the way I agree wholeheartedly with you. Because you talk, you yourself in like the last episode, you talk about the soul, liberating your soul. Yes. Your soul is still in chains. Right. If you are still comparing yourselves to others and thinking that you're better than them
Starting point is 00:44:19 in the game. I look. You know what I mean? There's no, it's apples and oranges to compare myself to them because our mindsets are so different. Exactly. They may be perfectly content. And in some ways, candidly, it's hard to not envy it at times. And because once you can't unsee it, right, then it can become torturous.
Starting point is 00:44:40 Whereas if you just don't know and you feel like you won, like, that must be wonderful. Right. So there are there are ways where I'm, yes, right? And that's true. So like, and I'm not calling them out. Like, we have these conversations like at the bar. Like, and I'm the crazy one, right? So I'm trying to say all these things.
Starting point is 00:45:01 And they're like, dude, Jake's being a nut again. And I'm like, I, guys, I can. You can't not. You just reminded me, and then you spoke about it before, about being called the crazy one. I think that is an excellent signal. When you are being called the crazy one, you know you're on something good. Yeah, for sure. 100%.
Starting point is 00:45:19 I agree. You're like... Oh, I wear it as a badge of honor. Like, it doesn't bother me that I'm the crazy one. Like, I love it. Because to your point, that means that I'm over the target. Yeah. And you're also open to life.
Starting point is 00:45:34 You're willing to take risks. you're willing to look at life in a different way. You're willing to question things and examine. And, you know, how can we live it in a different way than what everyone's teaching us? And that is awesome. So let them call you the crazy one. 100%. But this is why all of us crazy ones love coming to these because you can speak to people
Starting point is 00:45:57 and you're on that same high school. It's like we're in a mental house, good friends. I've never thought of it that way, but that's a great point. That's why we feel at home. That's right. That's right. Jokes on us. They're like, now just put them on an island out there.
Starting point is 00:46:13 Exactly. We won't send boats. We won't send boats. We won't send boats. Exactly. Awesome. Jake. All right.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Where should people follow you? Just X primal. I'm trying to eat. Yeah. Oh, fantastic. Yeah. I'm trying to get away from the Doom Scroll. It's just there are really good benefits about the network of social.
Starting point is 00:46:32 I hate the word trying. I am doing it. I know. I am getting away from. It's a journey. The word trying is just a bad word in the vocabulary. Yeah, it's a little weak. You're right.
Starting point is 00:46:44 I try to, right? Yeah, I get rid of it. Every time it shows up, it's like, no, I'm not trying, I'm doing. Yeah, you're manifesting. I'm wanting, I'm doing. So I am unstaking, breaking my steak to X, but if people wanted to find me there while I'm still there for a little bit. Yeah, sure. Who's Jake Galt, primal, Noster, same thing.
Starting point is 00:47:02 And then dub, dub, dot, break the steak. So awesome. We're going to put all those links in the show notes and get the book people break the stake. Thank you so much. And by the way, speaking to marketing, I've been thinking about, you know, a way to bring it more broadly. I might, I want to talk to you about ideas because I was going to run like a SATs giveaway at certain levels for people reviewing the book. I think that's a great idea. I have, for example, shout out to my good friend Larry, Bitcoin Larry, who is. a reviewer of my podcast. He watches every episode and he's he writes a review just like people used to write when they went to the cinema and they did a movie review. That's cool. He does a
Starting point is 00:47:47 podcast review. That's awesome. And like, you know. Well, hopefully he gets some laps out of this one. Fantastic. So yeah, you need a book reviewer thing. I think that would be great. So I'd love to kick some ideas with you with your marketing background. It'd be great. Yeah. But I've thoroughly enjoyed this and I really love everything that you do. And you leading the way and just doing things. And just being free as much as we can. The freedom stuff I really love about what you do, by the way. The freedom go up was the best thing about the last conference.
Starting point is 00:48:18 The freedom go up stage. Yes. Far and away the best thing. You mean the Eric Kaysen rant, me and Eric Kaysen? Like just that whole kind of notion of having a freedom go. Because as much as the price is volatile, I think the thing that's not priced in is the freedom. Yeah, right. And it's the sovereignty and, like, you can't put a price on that.
Starting point is 00:48:39 And so when you, when, that's why I think Bitcoin's, you know, the hard quarters are somewhat immune to the volatility because, like, there are things that you can't put a price on that are implicit in just holding Bitcoin. Yeah. And the freedom stuff that most of your stuff on your podcast centers around. I think it's just amazing. And I really appreciate the stuff that you do with that. And some of the stories you have about like the fire hose and wild. Right? Yes. With my son. Yeah. That's a wild one. That is a wild one. I remember when I told him. You're raging against the machine. I am. And the police. I mean, I love it. I love it. Good. I'm glad. I know it inspires a lot of people. I'm just being me. You know, I'm just refusing to surrender to the slavery system. So, yeah, good. Thank you for the feedback. No, absolutely for sure. All right. Thanks for being on my show. I love to think into you. And good luck.
