reminds you how important your voice is and the role you play in the world.
My name is Afrat, and I'm an independent journalist and podcaster with an extensive background
in tech and marketing.
In this podcast, I interview intriguing humans, putting the spotlight on their stories and views.
My guest today is Alex Cranor.
Alex is the founder of Cranor Analytics and creator of iSystem Trend Following.
He has worked as a market analyst, researcher, trader, hedge fund manager, and CEO since 1996, mostly out of Monaco.
Alex is a finance and geopolitics expert, as well as author.
His first book received awards, while his second book, The Grand Deception, was censored and banned.
I hope you enjoy the show. Please share it forward and remember, you're the voice.
So, Alex Craner, hello and thank you for being with me.
Thank you for having me, Alfred.
Thank you for joining. So people don't know, but we were talking for the past 30 minutes,
just to get to know each other better and it was fascinating.
We will continue now because we, you know, we have a lot to say to each other, but I just want to introduce you quickly and then let you say more about yourself.
So Alex is the founder of Craner Analytics and creator of iSystem Trend Following, right?
Yes, correct.
Yes.
Okay.
He has worked as a market analyst, researcher, trader, and hedge fund manager since 1996.
In 2006, Alex was born and raised in a socialist regime of former Yugoslavia under one-party
communist rule.
Now I'd love to hear more about you from you, about your background, your childhood maybe,
living in such a regime in Yugoslavia, and maybe about your books.
Tell us a bit about you, Alex.
again Efrat and warm greetings from Monaco to all your viewers and listeners. So I'm a Croatian
national I was born in Croatia in the in 1970s so it was back then it was former Yugoslavia
socialist regime under one party communist system it was horrible no just kidding I had a wonderful
childhood I think it's it's interesting because you know people assume that
because you know like I grew up in this you know communist bloc that maybe life
was difficult and bad and oppressive and all these things but actually no it was
wonderful we had a beautiful childhood we had a relatively high standard of
living you know we went skiing once a year to either Austria or Italy for a
week you know things that are even today not so affordable for most people in the
West my parents had a summer house on an island and generally you know life you
know the the society was well organized it was a healthy society things worked
reasonably well and you know streets were clean there were no destitute
people there was no homeless people crime rate was extremely low and so yeah
life was life was very good except wow that's surprising yeah yeah exactly you
know most people find this surprising but that's that's how it was and you
You know, like I had, my brother went on a student exchange program in 1984, yeah, right?
And then a group of his high school friends from Los Angeles, California, six of them,
came to visit us the following summer of 1985.
And I am now friends on Facebook with all of these people.
And believe you me, to this very day, they still say that that was the best summer they ever had.
and for us that was like that was how we lived that was our normal life so you know i would say
that you know we were we were free that's the thing about it you know we were free um
you know you're saying you were free but were you aware of the situation around you like were
you aware of the regime and of what it means to live in such a regime in a way yes you know
because they were telling us how we were living in the most wonderful regime there ever was
but we knew it wasn't true you know and we were you know unlike other eastern european countries
we were free to travel so we went to we went everywhere you know we were you know if you
could afford to travel to hawaii you went to hawaii it was fine so we knew that life was
much much better in the west or at least what you could see you know people drove nicer cars
they had nicer houses um shops were selling nicer stuff so we just assumed that everything in the
west was much much better and it probably was for a period of time you know but the you know the
problem is that this system was unsustainable because it was based on the same monetary
fraudulent uh fake money um system that always needs to grow to stay stable and at some point
you know the government gets too far into debt you get inflation and then inflation goes into
hyperinflation and then you know like when everything unraveled in the late 1980s uh
society was in a crisis there was it was obvious that things were going to go south and then
in 1991 the war broke out and so you know that was our transition from that socialist system to
the communist system uh sorry so from the socialist system to the capitalist system
but it didn't improve things actually you know like i can say okay so i live in monaco i'm not
i'm not against capitalism to the contrary you know but i can say i can put my hand on my heart
and i can say that life in that regime was much better for the vast majority of people than life
is today even though you know we we just went headfirst into adopting everything from the west
We basically copy-pasted the Western legal code. We copied everything. If the West said
privatized water is the best, we privatized water. Privatized roads, we privatized roads.
Privatized trash collection, everything. Everything is kind of falling apart at the
seams. It's not working. It's working much less well than it did before.
And so that's, those are very, very important lessons to learn, you know, and we're learning them. And I think that we need to know these lessons because, you know, all of the Western society today has come to a crossroads where we're going to have to move into a different system.
you know as Klaus Schwab says we have to reimagine and read whatever he says the
future and that is actually true yeah except we should do it on our terms not
on their terms you know we should do we should reimagine and rethink and
redesign society around human beings rather than around you know depraved
path how do you call it psychopathic oligarchies yes so I in to to bring you
to today I then you know like I went and I moved to Monaco because I got here a
job in an oil trading company I became their market analyst and risk manager
and I devised I kind of invented my own way to navigate market fluctuations and
then I thought well you know like why just trade oil we could trade anything
we want right and I tried to you know sell this to my to my superiors and I
said why don't we go into hedge funds you know we don't have to just trade oil
we can trade copper and soybeans and stocks and bonds whatever and then they
said well you know if that's what you want to do the doors open see you later
and that's what I did and then I kind of like elbowed my way into the hedge fund
industry and I didn't really survive 2020 you know the everything that went
down but since my core of my business is based on the technology so
So it's not me being the genius of commodity markets, I run everything on the base of algorithms,
so I thought I needed to really rethink and reimagine and re-engineer my business as well.
This is what I've been busy doing for the past three years, with some success, with
moderate success I would say but you know also the the events that have
transpired over the last three years have made me very worried about the
future of humanity because you know we are at a crossroads where even either we
go into a future that's going to be much much better than what we know or into
one that's much much worse than what we've known so far and you know like
like you I'm a parent and I deeply care that we leave the world in a better
place for our children and their children and so forth so you know I've
kind of prioritized writing and blogging and speaking and the reason is because I
would I think that everything we're doing isn't going to matter much if our
children end up being slaves in some dystopian totalitarian society whereas
you know if we if we move things in the in the in the in the better direction
then we've done we've done more than we can do with with with just you know the day job activities
and so there I am you know like I'm running my day job and I'm also writing about geopolitical
things about history about economics and everything and the reason you know like the
reason why I'm so interested about everything is because you know being a hedge fund manager has
one fantastic bonus in life is that you spend probably better than half of your time at work
just reading and researching that's what you do you have to figure out how the world works
and you can't just pass the exams and then say like oh well okay I know everything you have to
really figure it out so you always end up reading a lot in depth talking to other people and kind of
like piecing together the puzzle so that your your mental map about the way the
world actually functions starts to become more accurate over time and it
involves history and anthropology and economics and psychology and all kinds
of everything so you know that's that's kind of the root of why my interests go
way beyond what I would actually do at work but you know it keeps my life
richer and more varied and and hopefully more useful to to society amazing i i want to say that
when i grow up i want to be alex craner because because i would love to spend my my life and my
time in in just reading researching learning new things i'm like you curious about so many
different topics and i teach myself a lot of things and i think that's one of the traits that
us as humanity we kind of became weaker in in learning learning new things and trusting that
we can learn new things because like the indoctrination shows us that there is only
one way of learning stuff like through the public the education system through universities through
degrees through you know schools but really like people forget that learning something new is all
about asking questions finding out information discerning and then you know putting it into
action or or talking about it to to understand whether it's right or wrong and so like and
you've written books like based on all the knowledge that you have i've been listening
to you in the past week and i was like flabbergasted by how much information and
knowledge you have about so many different topics in history and anthropology and economics
it's just amazing well that's very kind thank you like the books that you've written yeah okay so
you know my my i wrote two books that are completely non-controversial subjects i talk
about trading commodities and managing commodity price risk and i talk about trend following which
is a you know a particular type of trading strategy which is what my day job is all about
and you know this this is so kind of ephemeral this is so uh foreign and exotic uh to to most
people who don't do this because you know like if i if i brew beer everybody knows what beer is but
if you do you know commodity price risk management and trend following and people think like what
and so I kind of at some point I felt that I wanted to kind of you know like
explain this in a way that's more approachable to you know like an
ordinarily prepared person right so I wrote a book called mastering
uncertainty in commodities trading I felt like okay whatever I'll just
publish it and put it there and then it happened to have won it for 2021 in 2022
uh the from from uh financialexpert.co.uk as the as the best book for commodities traders
wow yeah on top of the list that was that was really nice and then um you know i i also wrote
another book so i totaled three books which is kind of geopolitics and this happened in a strange
way because you know through my through my work I met a man named Bill Browder
who used to own the largest foreign-owned hedge fund in Russia during
the 1990s yeah and well you know this wasn't so interesting to me because I
never I never invested in Russia Russia was not at all interesting to me I'm
from Croatia you know and we have we have a slightly Russophobic culture
there you know maybe not like the polish and the and the czechs but you know we're we're there
somewhere and so i i just never had very much interest in russia but that day i happened to
have nothing better to do so i thought like what the hell i'll go see this presentation
and the thing that kind of threw me back in this presentation is that this guy
well first of all the presentation was very fascinating but it was the first time i ever
heard anybody say anything positive about vladimir putin right and up until then i was just like your
average western media consumer and i thought that vladimir putin was a very very bad person
and you know all of those things yeah and what he was saying wasn't just like you know vladimir
putin dresses nice and he you know he's a he's polite or anything like that what he was saying
is that you know his investment strategy in russia was to buy shares of companies
that were undervalued due to corruption because they were saying that there was so much corruption
in these companies that it was actually making them unprofitable the share price was very low
and so they would they would investigate corruption in companies they bought and then they
would um publish the results of their investigation with you know like with the russian and foreign
financial press and then he said like putin's government would always come in and clean up
they would they would they would get rid of the corrupt management they would close the legal
loopholes they would change the laws to make it make such abuse uh difficult and and so they said
and every time so bill browder was being very successful in russia because this worked you know
like they they bought corrupt companies they exposed the corruption putin's government
cleaned up and you know would fix it yeah would fix it and then the share prices of these companies
would go up very high so he was doing really really well and he was wow full of praise for
vladimir putin and he was full of praise for the potential of russia he said like everybody in the
the world should own shares of Gazprom, and so on and so forth. And so I thought, like, wow,
interesting, I never knew this. And I also thought, like, well, how come I never knew this,
you know, because, like, why is everything in the West all so dark and negative about Putin,
if he's actually, you know, fighting corruption and doing, you know, right things by Russians.
So that's when I started paying attention a little bit, except five years later,
Bill Browder's in Monaco again and I got invited to some dinner event where he
was presenting his new fund right because he started a new hedge fund in
London this time not in Moscow I thought okay fine whatever you know and well
this time the historic changed completely he was dead against Vladimir
Putin he's a criminal a thug murderer whatever you know tyrant and nobody
should invest a penny in Russia ever and he never the whole presentation he never even mentioned his
new fund well I'm used to hedge fund managers making presentations the whole thing is them
you know making promises about how much money they're going to make and how fantastic everything
what a great opportunity don't miss it you know put all your money in my fund and so forth
he never even mentioned his fund I thought like that's interesting however you know like at that
time i still thought bill browder is a good guy and i thought that this was just him you know
having personal integrity and telling his story from the heart and kind of forgetting to mention
his hedge fund yeah and then five years later he published a book named um published the book was
titled red notice right and it's a book about how he got kicked out of russia right okay and um
And my ex-wife gave me the book, and she said, like, wow, you have to read this, this is amazing, so I read the book, and it's a really well-written book, because as I suspected, it was ghostwritten by Lee Child, right, you know, the best-selling novelist.
and I think I'm pretty I'm pretty sure I'm right about that you know even though that was never
said officially except that when I read the book I you know like because I already knew a little
bit about this story I thought there's something's not right and so for the first time ever in my
life I went back and I read the whole book one more time and this time sure enough you know like
I found all kinds of problems and I realized that the whole book was a big
lie and I thought my god somebody needs and you know like it's not just that if
the book is a whole big lie is is that there's a there's a very powerful group
backing Bill Browder he's not just a hedge fund manager in in Moscow there's
a whole big network of vested interests that are backing him he's just the front
man and i understood that what they were doing would lead us into world war iii against russia
and you know like i lived through the outbreak of war in the former yugoslavia
and i i i kind of got marked by the experience of something that's completely unthinkable one day
can be happening the next day you know i i honestly like the war and you first died
no no i didn't foresee it i was just very concerned because you know like when before
the war in yugoslavia broke out okay so i'm croatian my mother is serbian
many of us are mixed there you know because it wasn't it wasn't a thing
who's serbian who's croatian who's muslim who's who's catholic it just didn't matter
until it did you know and uh so because we were also mixed and intertwined both in family ties
culturally business-wise you know i thought like there's no way there's no way these people are
going to start shooting at each other and and go to war against each other it's like impossible
well except that you know like once the shooting started once there were pictures of
dead people, burnt villages, destroyed houses. The psychology of the people changed almost
instantly. It polarized in a way that I was not prepared for. And now suddenly we found ourselves
in war. And, you know, like the yesterday's thinking was out completely. Now, you know,
like if you if you want to have a nuanced opinion about the other side, never mind,
You're going to be accused of being unpatriotic, a traitor, you know, it's just like out.
And so the war becomes the whole business of the nation all of a sudden.
So I thought like that on a world scale between nuclear powers would be, you know, potentially the end of humanity.
And so, you know, I felt very strongly that these people need to be unmasked.
and then because i i i figured maybe i know more about this than than the average person i felt
like it may as well be me so i i just kind of sat down and i started writing the book and i wrote it
and i published it on amazon it was a you know a self-published book because no you know no
publisher would talk to me or even you know reply to my emails and uh which year was that
this was in 2017 2017 and literally five weeks later my book was banned was
deleted it was cancelled banned gone it was you could not buy it anymore and
what happened sorry yeah yeah from Amazon what happened was that a man
named John Jonathan Weiner from who was advisor to the US Secretary of State at
the time John Kerry he simply wrote a letter to Amazon to you know delist the
book because it was you know whatever he wrote that it was defamatory to his
client too risky to put up I'm sorry saying this was like his excuses this
book is too dangerous it's risking no no no no no they were just saying that the
book was defamatory to his client without really specifying but I know
that his client was Bill Browder but you know he was also writing from the perch
of being the State Department swamp creature who is always there you know
he's always some advisor always you know and so you know very very well connected
person and you know the book was banned without any questions asked and my only
my only option was to work out the problem with them which would mean yeah
in practice that i would have they would tell me uh delete this delete this remove this
so i said no way and well i left it at that so in any way you know in 2021 amazon got around
to banning me entirely so they they even my completely non-controversial books were removed
and they stole three years worth of royalties that they never paid me out
seriously Amazon yes yes I'm dead serious there they really are a pirate
organization they're extremely aggressive yeah yeah because you know
they're no different from Facebook and all the other ones there you know big
tech just like the other ones yeah yeah it seems that if they can get away with
with something then they do it anyway even if it's illegal even if it's immoral whatever
you know jeff bezos's space program and his ginormous yacht costs a lot of money so you
know like you have to you have to make all the money you can while you can
okay the name of the book is the grand deception yes those people want to now go and purchase it
it's on your website uh no it's not on my website because it was republished by a company called
red pill press so it's available from their uh from their uh website in pdf and in hard print
and i always say you know because you know the book is not cheap it's like 26 dollars and then
you know it's it's since you don't have amazon fulfillment the shipping can be very expensive
and you know like for for many people it's not an obvious amount of money to spend so i always say
like if if it's a problem uh i'm always very happy to share the pdf for free with whoever
whoever requests so uh you know don't be shy i'm happy to share it when someone is willing to do
something like that it means it's a true mission well yes you know uh my my uh um my intention was
to try to let's say to try to help preserve peace and prevent the war from
breaking out or at least to give my voice and my best effort to it and so
it's not you know like the the idea behind the book was never to make money
and there believe me there is no money in publishing these types of books but
Yeah, and so I don't mind if whoever is interested in reading it, I'm very happy to share it free of charge, no problem.
Amazing. Okay, so that takes me beautifully to my next question, related to censorship in a way.
So we're seeing these days the rise of misinformation, global policies and rules on national levels.
You know, we're seeing it in Ireland.
I think in the U.S., I think all countries are talking about these kind of acts and rules right now.
Even in Israel, it's on the table.
And I'm following it closely.
I analyzed a recent document by the U.N. to explain to people their manipulation tactics.
The U.N. has now published a new report about mis- and disinformation and hate speech and how dangerous that is.
I want to hear your view
on this whole topic of
suppressing free speech
censorship and all these
misinformation rules
well I think it's completely
unnecessary and it's completely
pushed forward on false premises
the reason why I think
it's unnecessary is because
I believe that
you know most people
have the intelligence and the discernment to ultimately arrive at the
truth or you know more or less there not everybody but most people in time you
know like not it's not that you tell somebody a piece of information and then
you've converted them and then they know the truth people need to hear many
different things from many different sources and they you know like they
work it out and they get the sense of you know like what's probably true
what's probably false what's right what's wrong what's relevant what's not
relevant and so on and I think that given time and given free flow of
information people do gain an understanding to to function in life and
and to preserve well-ordered healthy societies you know you're always going to have problems
on the margins but I think that in general the notion that we need like some kind of
thought police to keep us from danger and to protect minorities from hateful conduct
and hate speech and so forth i don't buy that and i think that you know like my favorite example of
this was uh charlie hebdo uh in in france which which i think people might remember because it
was such a global thing there was i think it was 2015 there was this terror attack where some
quote-unquote muslim extremists went and shot i don't know how many people in charlie hebdo's
offices all kinds of problems with this story right you know uh these muslim extremists
were very strange they had masks blue eyes uh um you know the chief investigating officer
committed suicide he was so depressed about what happened all kinds of problems that were shoved
under the carpet not investigated properly so the probably a false flag thing but yeah the thing
about it is that Charlie Hebdo was in France had the nickname bête et méchant
okay bête et méchant means stupid and nasty nasty as in naughty you know like
because they really were they were they were just you know it was it was they
always had these cartoons caricatures right but they were it was not humor in
good taste it was humor in very vulgar taste and they were they would crudely
and in a mean fashion in insult Christians and Muslims and Jews and
pretty much anybody without any without really any value to it and guess what
before the terror attacks in 2015 they were going to go bankrupt and so you know i'm sorry
france was going to go back bankrupt no no this this publication charlie charlie hebdo they were
on the verge of okay yeah and you know what does that tell you it tells you that people don't
really like that kind of stuff you know they you know they they were gonna they were gonna censor
they were gonna censor themselves out of circulation through their poor
conduct and if you pay close attention people are like that you know like
there's always there's always people who are hateful there's always people who
are extreme and who want to peddle hate speech but if you don't amplify if you
don't promote it it just kind of dies away because people turn away they're
not interesting people generally want to get along with their neighbors with their friends
they want to enjoy life they want to invite people over for beer for dinner for a party for
you know birthdays they want to plan vacations they don't think about like oh how much i hate
these other people and how much i want to hurt them and now i want to go every day and print
stuff and publish stuff and you know look at yeah if you find people like that look how many
followers they have generally not very many yes by contracts look at people who many followers
and what their message is so you know we don't need the ministry of truth to protect us from
hate speech and we certainly don't need ministry of truth to protect us from disinformation and
misinformation do you think they're going to pass those laws in countries
they might they might and yeah they're already passing them but guess what you
know this was this was tried so many times before through history it just
doesn't work you know in in the late 80s as the you know like the socialist
communist system was starting to disintegrate uh we had the same thing you know like the communist
party had the control of everything of the media means of communication of the courts of police
prosecution uh the the military the radio stations that tell they had control of everything
but you know once the tide turned they there was nothing they could do you know people talk among
which amongst each other they share information if you ban if you if you put obstacles in their
way they find ways around it and especially today it's it's nearly impossible and that was even
without internet yeah even without the internet it was impossible let alone today you know like
you can you can put censorship on facebook and youtube people figure out something else you know
like i've seen i've seen cases where like for example information about vaccines not not the
covid vaccines the other the other kinds mmr and all of this stuff uh people develop like a big
busy group on something like i think snapchat maybe or something silly like that where they
didn't expect it you know so they were busy censoring twitter and facebook and i don't know
what where there was this like massive burgeoning community of people exchanging all kinds of
everything on on something else snapchat maybe and so you know people will figure it out and
you know in our time yeah one thing i remember is that they started putting
stickers with phone numbers you know like something to the effect if you see something
say something to encourage people if they you know like if they hear somebody you know enemy
of the revolution blah blah blah to report well guess what it didn't work all the same and it's
not going to work this time around you know like laws are only as good as law enforcement
and you know like i i don't think it will be able they will be able to silence absolutely all of us
and to force them and to force us to submit to their narrative you know like to switch off our
critical thinking faculties and to say like well pretend that we believe it yeah yeah yeah you know
so so the government says the white is black so it's black and i don't need to think people you
know like people naturally have this inclination to want to understand and to question things and
to investigate and research and talk to their you know friends colleagues and so forth and you know
little by little you know the the truth always ends up coming out so i think uh whatever they're
trying to do with their censorship and they're trying very very hard is going to fail i'm with
you on that. Okay, great. Let's talk about totalitarianism versus democracies. I'd love to
dive a bit deeper and debunk the romantic myth or illusion of the Western democracy.
Because, you know, I'm seeing this in front of my eyes for the last few years, and I wasn't aware of
before but since covid started this bubble called the western democracy blew in front of my face
and i think it's a myth and an illusion and i don't think it's really any different than a
totalitarian regime just uh with a very nice wrapping with a very nice facade
to make you believe and and fall fall into the manipulation or the trap that you're actually
choosing something when really they're choosing everything for you so i want to hear your view
like the totalitarianism versus democracies and you know what are democracies really
well okay so a lot of this is new to me as well you know like i've already been very suspicious
of western democracies for for a long time but you know it's a kind of thing that you can't quite
put your finger on it and most people don't question it because so long as the
system kind of functions okay and your life is tolerable and you know you have
some things that make you happy and you can pursue then you're like okay well
you know it's fine I'm not I'm not going to you know break my head about whether
it's quite perfect or not and then there are many people who used to who used to
genuinely believe that this is the best system that we've ever had because you
know the history of humanity has been going in a straight line up so obviously
what we have today is better than what was there a hundred years ago and better
than what was there a hundred years before that and so forth so you kind of
accept this because whatever but you know obviously the as the system starts
to unravel and especially with the experience we had with with COVID over the last two years
certain things certain incoherences and certain falsehoods come you know to the fore and you can't
not see them you can't you can't unsee them anymore and I've been trying very hard to
understand what why our democracies are so dysfunctional you know and i think first
thing that's very important to look at is what the system does in actual reality rather than
what they tell us that it's supposed to be doing right because our systems
systematically produce outcomes that nobody wants
so how does that happen you know like if you look at the american people
for as long as i've paid attention to american politics american people always vote for anti-war
candidates always even george w bush in 2000 was
running on a platform of a humble foreign policy of no more nation building you know
and things like this and then barack obama the same thing and uh even you know like well okay
joe biden whatever i i don't know what to say about him but all the same they always get more
war you know like they elect george w bush they get more war clinton more war obama more war the
only exception was um in the recent history was was donald trump which was an upset right it wasn't
wasn't meant to happen but you know like if by some mistake hillary clinton ended up in the white
house for sure they would get even more war and now that biden is there they get more work and
potentially World War III with nuclear exchange and total annihilation of everything. So how
does a democratic system where people don't want war end up producing more war all the
time, systematically, robustly, almost like a super tanker that can't change direction?
And so in doing my historical research, I also realized that people that they call tyrants,
autocrats, the anti-democrats, always through history have been people who
tried to reform the system. From way back in ancient history of
Greece and Rome, the Gracchi brothers, Julius Caesar, all of these
people tried to reform the system and they tried to disempower the oligarchy
right and it was always the oligarchy who somehow fought for democracy so
that's very interesting right because the the most die-hard fighters for
democracy in the West and people who always you know talk about the wonderful
wonders of democracy are always you know the bankers the the oligarchs and what I
realized is that you know in in a system where the very top of the pyramid you
know like if you have take Russia for example or China everybody understands
that the top of the pyramid is Vladimir Putin in Russia and Xi Jinping in China.
So if things in society are not going well, if there's a crisis, if the society
is dysfunctional, they know who to blame, they know who to hold responsible for
this. Because the hierarchy of command and control is uninterrupted from
the top to the bottom whereas in the Western democratic systems you have and
I think this is this this change happened with the among one of the steps
was the Magna Carta you know they kind of disempower the the sovereign at the
top right so they they severely curtail their their powers and then there's a
there's a faceless oligarchy behind them who holds the actual power but the people don't know
right the people don't know the oligarchy this oligarchy is is in the shadows it's hidden
it goes out of its way to conceal its its its uh its interest and its its its influence
you have a an elected government that people do elect and then if they're unhappy they
can elect a different government so the people are being strung along the series of elected
governments who are actually relatively powerless they always end up continuing the policies of the
oligarchy you have like maybe a president or a king who is just a figurehead and so
So, the people are constantly being disoriented by this democratic process where like, oh, you don't like the Democrats, well, you know, next time you're going to vote Republicans, and then if you don't like the Republicans, and years are going on, years are going on, and years are passing, and they keep going through more wars, the economy is going from bad to worse, the debts are constantly rising,
the standards of living are deteriorating
the quality of life is
deteriorating and
the only mechanism that people
have to change things are
elections
and so I think that
the
dysfunctionality of this system
is not an accident, it's by design
and it's done
that way to ensure that the oligarchy
is
unmolested
in their
in their influence and their power, and that people are constantly being misled, strung along
and led astray to think that by voting they're going to change anything. In China and in Russia,
you know, Vladimir Putin can line up the oligarchs and tell them, right, you have your businesses,
you have your wealth, you have your companies, fine, keep them, but A, you have to treat your
employees well and pay them correctly b you have to pay your taxes and c you have to stay out of
politics in western democracies this simply cannot be done neither joe biden nor you know
emmanuel macron or um georgia maloney nor olaf schultz none of them can line up the oligarchs
and tell them how it is and how it's going to be.
And then if an oligarch actually thinks that they can run the show on their own terms,
like Mikhail Khodorkovsky did in, what was it, 2003,
then Vladimir Putin slammed him into prison.
And guess what? All the other ones understood the message.
So, you know, in Russia, the oligarchy is under control of the sovereign,
and the sovereign is accountable to the people.
So the system works and, you know, Russia for the last 22 years that it's been under Putin's helm has improved enormously on all metrics, you know, the GDP, GDP per capita, you know, the happiness index, the longevity, the abortions, the suicides, everything, everything, everything has been on an uptrend.
Whereas in the West, it's on a downtrend. In Russia, I think that something close to 60% of people,
if you ask them if the country is moving in the right direction, they say, yes, the country is moving in the right direction.
In the West, these statistics have now been manipulated, so you get higher numbers.
But I looked a couple of years ago and the United States, United Kingdom, they were like between 11% and 36%.
And France was at 11%.
So only 11% of French people thought that their country was moving in the right direction.
So, you know, obviously our democracies are dysfunctional.
But I don't want to make it sound like I'm in favor of dictatorships and tyrannies.
I think that the democracy could be functioning well and I think that in some places like
Switzerland there are certain democratic practices and customs that actually produce
the results that people do desire so you know it can be a well-functioning system
but the way it's it's been um organized in the west over the last few centuries is i think
dysfunctional by design so between a dysfunctional democracy and an autocracy i think autocracy is
probably better because at least you know who where the buck stops and who is accountable
wow you're saying it's all out in the open there is no high there is no playing game you know
who's the big boss and who's doing what yes so that takes me to you know i wanted to ask it in
the end but i'll ask it now because it refers to it you're saying it's by design is the design
obviously related to the money so what what is the role i'm asking right i'm not saying what is
the role of the the big banks or the big money or the oligarchs in those countries and what is
their role and and also in the sense of you know it may be playing out differently in russia china
and other um dictatorial countries from the u.s where we obviously know that the fed is is uh you
You know, calling the shots and the money there is playing a very big role with pretending that it's not.
But the debt is just growing bigger and bigger.
They're going to introduce CBDC soon, not just in the U.S., but in many countries.
And a lot of people are talking about a financial reset or a collapse that is coming.
so how are you seeing that
tying in with
what we talked about, the regime change
or the power
games between the oligarchs
and the sovereign
yeah, well
we could be here until tomorrow
that's a tough one
I think that the banks are the principal
sorry about that
feel free to make it short
and we can send people to your book
if they want to learn more
i mean i'm just curious about those things no no i know it's it's a very important question
but i think that the banking the banking system is exactly the the principal mechanism of control
of these vested interests over society because you know issuing credit is how you control
what what gets funded what doesn't get funded who gets the money who doesn't
get money who gets low interest rates who gets high interest rates um and it's a it's an incredible
enormous privilege because you're actually um giving out something that you create out of thin
air and it instantly becomes an asset on your books and it has to be paid back with interest
in real value in goods and services of real value and so this this mechanism over time
it acts as a massive conveyor belt that's transferring wealth from people who create it
to people who control the banking system and it creates these oligarchies that are so enormously
powerful and wealthy that they can buy the media they can buy the politicians they can buy the the
scientists the academics the the judges the you know like they they can really rule the societies
they can define the the narrative uh of the of the society they can define uh the the development
because you know how a human society develops and evolves can be many many
different things you know and we've seen that for example in the 18th and 19th
century Russia Germany Italy you know similar systems have produced a great
deal of artwork music literature sculptures architecture whatever in some
countries everything is absorbed by the military-industrial complex and so when
if you if you count Russian composers and German composers and Italian
composers and they compare it to the British composer the Brits haven't
produce practically anything because it's been it's most of the wealth has
been absorbed into the into the into the merchant Navy into the military into the
you know Imperial adventures all across the world that has you know left nothing
for development at home um you can see that today even because just just now recently during covid
you know you had those you had those advertisements which which to me were incredible you know like
there was an advertisement by the uk home office i think or or well british british government
basically and it showed a young woman in in a ballet you know outfit I don't know
how you call that uniform and it said it said Fatima will work in cyber or
something like that except she doesn't know it yet right so yeah it's to me
this was amazing because what they were saying is that yeah maybe she wants to
be a ballerina and maybe she has passion for for for dance and ballet but what
she doesn't know is that she's gonna be working in cyber right because what the
government will not be allocating any money for Fatima to practice ballet and
become a ballerina but it will create trainings and an education and job
opportunities in cyber what does that mean well that means you know like their
massive control matrix of you know these passes and everything so you can see how
the way you spend money shapes a society you know and and the principal mechanism
the way this is happening is through the banking system and the banking system ultimately uh
follows what the oligarchy in power actually wants not what the people at
the bottom of the pyramid want and um
i think this has always been this is an enslavement system the country yes it is
because because if you use without us they would not have the gdp and the and the money to feed
the system right yes exactly exactly but you know like the the the less they leave on the table for
us for you know parks and libraries and hospitals and our our you know salaries and bonuses and
recreation you know yeah yeah you know like the way all the things that would make life more
enjoyable for ordinary people the less they leave on the table for all that the more there is for
them and so the you know like if you if you extrapolate the system of incentives that they
that their that their matrix creates you are right it ultimately goes into slavery because
you know you you want to give people as little choice as possible you want to pay them as little
as possible to do what you need them to do and so that ultimately ends up being you want to tax them
use taxing and interest in order to milk as much as you can from them yes correct so it's it's it's
simply a predatory system that's that's what it is and i it's it goes back a long way in history
a very very long way it goes uh more than two thousand years into history you know like not
that not that not that the same ruling families are perpetuating themselves but but the model of
the model of predation of privileged oligarchic classes against everybody else has evolved over
time and you know it was it was in britain it was lord acton who said that the the issue that
has swept through centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is people versus the
banks and i think that maybe for the first time in humanity's history we are well prepared to
tackle that challenge because you know up until the advent of the internet i don't think most
people understood the system well enough to know where the problem lies and how it can be resolved
today we can know all that you know so i think we have no excuse yeah because the you know like
there's a there's a there's a problem there's a there's a risk in it because we really could
end up enslaved if we just passively acquiesce to everything as it coming to us or we could
turn it around and create a much much better future for for our kids and their their kids
and uh i don't think any generation in human history was ever better placed for this than
we are so we we have no excuse we have to give it our best i'm completely with you and i think that
most people don't even know what money is and how it is created and how it flows in the system and
how the system works and i think educating people about money right now is one of the top priorities
and i'm i'm doing that in some hebrew speaking podcasts in israel to make sure that people
understand better how the banking system works and what is cbdc they know nothing about it and
they don't understand that if until now we were in a enslaving system now with the cbdc it's
going to be like the ultimate enslaving system control and enslavement yeah no you're right
about that but if i can if i may just uh give you a more optimistic thought about that it's a
you know please what always happens in history i always want optimism no no but you know like
this is this is you know warranted by history anytime the oligarchies in power become
too oppressive and they create they impose these systems that are too restrictive people almost
invariably migrate into black markets and gray markets and they they work
things out so if you force people to use only CBDCs believe me people will find
ways to trade for you know for for packets of coffee or cigarettes or
something or they will invent their own currencies doesn't have to be crypto but
it can be anything it'd be time banks it can be local currencies regional
currencies whatever you know today in Argentina something like 35 percent of
the GDP is on black transacted on the black markets and in Venezuela is
something like half and guess what the government doesn't collect a penny of
taxes on those transactions so you know if they roll out the CBDC's unless they
execute flawlessly and unless their system is working in a way that
people will be voluntarily adopting they will find themselves in a world of
trouble you know like it's all going to ground to a halt the
government will not find not get its funding and very probably they will
abandon it like that you know I assume that and if they don't we're gonna be
trading on the black markets and good luck to them trying to police that because you know it
just doesn't work you can't i love it i love your message and and i i hope you are right so much i
think i know you're right um you know i've myself like started learning more about money in the last
two years and since then i started dividing my my wealth differently now i have money in different
like invested in different places which i've never thought that i'll do before
um so yeah so anyone can can do that so okay i want to ask you about um well there was something
else i wanted to ask you about the money system do you think that it's going to collapse like
the dollar is going to collapse and and then other currencies after it are going to collapse
yeah i i think that's a mathematical certainty uh wow yes what we don't know is how long it
might take how quickly or how slowly it might happen you know because you know you can work
out that the situation is unsustainable that we're going to have inflation and maybe even
hyperinflation uh that economy is going to be you know in a recession or a depression for god knows
how long but you know economies are also robust they can you know bob along for a long time in a
in a less than optimal state so it's almost impossible to predict these things but you
know if you're if all your currency is based on debt which needs to be repaid in interest
with with interest but this interest is never put into circulation right the only way that
extra money is put into circulation is by other people taking on debt. Well, that means that
you're running a Ponzi scheme. And that is really, you know, not exaggeration to say that the
monetary system is a very large Ponzi scheme. And, you know, so far, all fiat currencies
based on fractional reserve banking have always collapsed, no exception. And so the euro will,
the yen will the dollar will the um the british pound will and you know maybe the us dollar will
prove to be the most uh resilient one because they still are the world's reserve currency they can
still export inflation to their trading partners but you know that that only gains them time it
doesn't it doesn't change the the nature the that the system is doomed by its own very nature
and then i'm sorry if if my question is is a bit uh simple or or idiotic but then what happens the
day after it collapses is there a new currency what happens how how does the world start to
organize itself again in terms of money okay so you know back in 1920s when in
1921 22 when the the Reichsmark collapsed in a very short time when
practically the zero local and regional currencies popped up like mushrooms all
over Germany you know people work it out you know we don't really need money we
need roofs over our heads we need a trust system yes exchange so and so you know like um you know
the land can still grow crops and the animals can still graze the land and chickens will still give
eggs and your car mechanic will still know how to fix a car and so you know the the the basic
foundation of economy that generates the goods and services that satisfy the basic needs of the
people are still there the only problem becomes how to exchange them when the money has died
and people work it out you know they they you can use gold coins silver coins packs of cigarettes
uh you know people have used all kinds of everything to be able to trade or you even have
gift economy where you know like i don't know maybe maybe you have chickens and you can give
me eggs and today i went fishing and i got a bunch of fish and i have more than i need and
i say like here afrat here's a a few kilos of fish for you and then you know like next week
you say like well i got a bunch of eggs here's some eggs for you and so you know people take
care of each other and and and uh mostly most societies survive all societies survive most
people survive but then new currency emerges and new currencies will emerge
the question is being what are they going to be and how they're going to
function are they going to be honest money or is it going to be a fraudulent
money like like we have now and that's going to be a fight because people who
are in control of the system will always want to control the money and make sure
that their system continues to vacuum wealth from the whole of society whereas
everybody else will want honest money that leaves them with the most wealth
when they exchange goods and which gives them with the highest quality of life
yeah the important thing is that we understand how we're being how we're
being um exploited with the current system and to make sure that the next system we adopt is not
and that we also know how to fight back because they will you know like they will use everything
and anything to destroy honest currencies and to make sure that we adopt a fraudulent one
That's again why it's important to learn about money and CBTC now and everything like the
exchange. Okay, great, great, and thank you for this answer. Okay, I'm gonna ask you a bit of
a historical question. I heard you talking about the British colonial model of governance and
power. And I think most people are not even thinking in terms of empires, like what at all
are empires. They're not even aware of the cycles that are happening. And so I wanted to kind of
give a little bit of information to the viewers about the empires and maybe even the Dutch empire
that was prior to the British one
and I did hear you speak about
how empires are always
trying to demand destruction
for their colonies
so they have these tactics
of creating poor countries
and putting areas in the empire
that will be easy to detonate
or explode when the time is needed
did so that was a really good explanation if you can if you can share
that with me yeah okay so basically I think that we have tended you know
courtesy of our education system we have tended to conflate empires with nations
you know so we always spoke about the Roman Empire Spanish Empire the French
Empire the British Empire today people talk about the American Empire but
empires are never really national in character they are always systems of
governance controlled by a narrow elite well you know not elite parasites
basically who are you know these occult oligarchies that simply co-opt a nation's
you know political and economic and military power to basically carry water
for them and for their interests now the way the reasons why empires even arise
is because again we're going back to the fraudulent monetary system which you
know then puts money into circulation as debt uses fractional reserve banking so
that you know like the actual you know like maybe honest money would be hundred
percent reserve meaning that you're only lending out what you have so if you have
a million dollars in your bank you can lend out that million dollars right the
way things are today is if you have a million dollars in your bank you can
lend out maybe a billion you know there's almost no limits nowadays in
some economies well that means that you can but still you know like if you have
only a million dollars of your own loss absorbing equity it means that you
cannot even sustain a loss of more than a million dollars so you can have assets
that are on paper a billion dollars but if just one of your maybe somebody who
borrowed a million dollars defaults on their loan you do not have enough money
to to absorb that loss and your whole bank might implode and so basically the
banks have to always expand their business they have to grow their
balance sheet. They have to seek new collateral because the important thing when you're issuing
loans is that there be healthy collateral behind it, right? So that if your borrower defaults,
you can repossess something of value so that you haven't sustained a loss. Well, you know,
like in any national economy, you know, at a certain point after maybe 10, 20, 30 years,
you know like you you build ports roads railroads factories everybody's employed
everybody has a house a roof over their heads everybody has a car clothes you know like there
aren't the the the opportunities to keep growing the system become uh restricted
and to grow their business bankers have to take more and more and more higher and higher risk
loans you know crazier and crazier projects less and less credit worthy customers and so at a
certain point it's probably better to go abroad and to expand your business abroad and to lend
money to other people but you know there you're gonna run into competition from
their domestic bankers or their customs who maybe say like no we don't want
foreign banks here and then you have to kind of conquer them the way you know
like Spanish went and plundered all of the gold and silver they could find in
the in South America destroyed three indigenous civilizations there massively
depopulated the continent and enslaved the the the people you know this this
has never come back you know this was a total destruction it's it's an incredibly
ugly thing that happened and the the whole agenda was run by bankers who
found you know ferdinand and isabella like third-rate nobles who had who didn't ever
have money to get married and then the bankers funded them they put them in madrid at on the
throne made them king and queen and then they started launching all these uh armadas to sail
across the ocean and they created this whole frenzy kind of like today's stock
market frenzies you know if you remember the dot-com boom and all that he created
all these friends all these friends is about the El Dorado across the ocean and
all the young all the adventurous young men you know wanted to sail over and
make their fortune and so forth and so that's how you know like that's how
empires arise because you know like you saturated your own market but because your system is
fraudulent it needs to keep growing so either your whole you know your whole wealth machine
is going to implode or you're going to field an army to conquer the territory of the of your
neighbors and and keep expanding keep expanding keep expanding this was actually the roman empire
did the same thing you know the the oligarchies who were in charge of the roman senate
where many of them were money lenders and they they they would lend money to well you know king
herod was a big client of the roman oligarchy and he you know like like like all the other zelenskis
and and and juan guaidos through history king herod had these megalomania megalomaniacal
construction projects and i think that this is also part of the history of judea that you know
to pay back all these all these loans to the russian to the roman oligarchy he had to
oppress his own people which is what led to you know those historical events that
you know to this day are are so divisive and and problematic
and today the leading empire is it really the the american empire or are there other forces
behind it well i think that i i think that this did the the the controlling oligarchy
of today's empire is still headquartered in london and their uh you know their interests
are spread very widely you know like the main axis is the city of London Wall Street but they have
you know very powerful interests in Germany in Sweden in Holland in Italy Spain Poland
you know they're but it's a relationship of the you know the sovereign and the vassal
and i i only now i'm starting to i'm starting to suspect that their vassals in in france in paris
have have turned a pity on them and that they you know like i think that what we're seeing now in
france yes yes i think that this is a this is a coordinated orchestrated agenda this is not just
um this is not just a spontaneous uprising of people seeking justice for
george floyd or no wait uh nahal mirzuk
yes it's the same same playbook same playbook always yeah same thing
of course so you're thinking that it what hap what what is happening now in france is showing us
that maybe the powers that be are not in control anymore or they're the ones orchestrating what's
happening there no i think that they're the ones orchestrating what's happening i think and i think
that the french elites not the ordinary friends because of the economy and the state of the
economy yeah um no i think that it's principally because the the the french elites have found
themselves treated with contempt by the anglo-american establishment you know because
you know the french had uh have their still their colonial interests through africa and they're
being squeezed from out of there they've had their colonial neo-colonial interests in the middle east
particularly syria they have been squeezed from there as well they also had their new
colonial interests in the Indo-Pacific region where they also got squeezed out
you know and this one was you know like two years ago the Britain United States
and Australia announced this new AUKUS military alliance at that time France
had a massive contract with the Australian government for supply of 12
conventional submarines the contract we were signed in 2016 was worth 37 billion
dollars but I think it kind of grew to like 60 66 billion dollars it was a
massive deal and in France it was kind of celebrated as a great success of
French diplomacy and the contract of the century and when the Brits and Americans
and the australians announced the orcas alliance they simply tore up france's contract sidelined
them and australia uh now will uh buy their submarine technology from the united states
and britain and so there have been many spats between the french and the anglo-american uh
establishment over the last 20 years but even over you know like if you go back a whole century
uh and i think that the french are not accepting the role of the obedient vassal
and so the you know like we saw that uh emmanuel macron and i'm not even slightly a fan of emmanuel
macron but i think that pushed by the french elites he's been um charting a kind of more
independent policy so you know like what last month he asked the president of south africa
to be invited to the brick summit next month no this at the end of this month
and then you know like he went to china in april and you know the the western establishment were in
in hysterics over his visit to china but then after the visit to china he was even explicit
about we should not be American vassal, we should have our own independent policy, the Europeans
should be more assertive, blah blah blah, all these things. He signed a whole bunch of deals
for the large assembly plants for Airbus aircraft in China, and there was even one transaction for
liquid natural gas denominated in yuan, so he's prepared to deal with China in yuan.
and then in 2019 he gave an interview uh to the economist i think in which he said that
nato was a brain dead alliance well wasn't he right i mean he he got this spot on nato is a
brain dead alliance we can see that now after one year and something of war in ukraine they're
they're like profoundly brain dead and he also spent a long time talking to putin and he's been
explicit about needing to acknowledge Russia's security concern and negotiating for peace and
ending the war in Ukraine and so forth. So he's been going exactly contrary to the, you know,
agenda and the narrative of the Anglo-American establishment. And I think that for all those
things they have probably um they have probably orchestrated the the yeah the the uprising in
france and i i think you know that shouldn't be a bridge too far for people to believe because
you know we have had experiences like that in the past you know there was this uh very well
operation Gladio which was being managed by NATO by NATO structures which
orchestrated major terror attacks in Italy and Germany and Belgium I think
during the 1970s and the 1980s you know back at the time it was to to fight
against the rising popularity of communists and so forth there's always
some good reason for that but you know it's and you know like operation gladio is not a conspiracy
it's on record you know there have been court hearings in italy uh the the operation you know
like the discovery process found it as a matter of fact not a matter of conspiracy and even
italy's president giulio andreotti had to actually acknowledge it and say that it was real and
you know those structures still exist and they're very probably behind the
current uprisings in France okay so it's not very difficult to get the French to
protest so it's not a it's not yeah you know they have French have a very low
tolerance for nonsense and they are very easy easily provoked into protest but
it's one thing if people come out and protest as we saw with gilet jaune you
know they were pretty much peaceful protests you know there's a little bit
of but this is this is low-intensity warfare with with weaponry you know with
attacks on police stations with like hundreds of cars being burned with
organized attacks on police and and and and firefighting units that's a
different category of uprising and probably this violent element in it is
is not endogenous, spontaneous.
Grassroots?
It's not grassroots.
It's probably orchestrated by, I don't know,
NATO, MI6, CIA, whatever.
I don't know, but clearly it's not a random event.
I get it.
I get what you're saying,
but then i have one one thing that is um a question mark for me in in the picture that
you're painting here what is the relationship between the wef and all the globalistic
organizations and the anglo-american industrial complex because you know it almost sounds like
you know because we all know macron is a web puppet and he's doing everything that uh you
know is coming out from the globalistic organizations and at the same time you're
saying he's like going out against america uk so how how does this relationship work out i'm
like a bit puzzled i'm also a bit puzzled i have to say i think that maybe two or three years ago
everything was roses and peaches in in davos and they all thought they were like a united front
and maybe there was a lot of back slapping and coordination and alliance between these all these
interests but since then uh two of their projects of absolutely critical importance have fallen
apart the first one being the the you know the pandemic and the second one being the uh war in
in Ukraine. And so now, you know, they have lost their gambit to, you know, cement the
unipolar world order. And now I think there's a lot of fracturing because, you know, their
consolation prize can only be uh forming a block you know and then you know like you you put an
iron curtain and then maybe you try to regroup and reorganize and re-industrialize and rearm
for maybe another another hurrah on world domination maybe in in 20 30 years again
but you know who's going to be running this block and i'm sure that there's a lot of different
opinion and i think that this is the moment where these elites start turning on each other because
they're they're no longer uh you know like when the ship is sailing along smoothly on the seas
then you know we can all enjoy where we're going or where we think we're going but when you hit
the storm and then some people think that the sink might ship that the ship might sink then
there's maybe a struggle for the lifeboats for who's going to jump off who's going to stay on
how we're going to manage the ship who's going to steer it who's going to be in charge who's not
going to be in charge who's going to have to be thrown overboard to save the others you know so
i i heard this once in an interview with katherine austin fitz and i think that was maybe even
like a year or two ago and she actually predicted that these elites are going to be turning on each
other and there's going to be major so you know yes i know i'm aware that emmanuel macron was the
was the good uh davos boy and good um klaus schwab acolyte but you know like things have changed
the world economic forum is no longer this you know like this all-powerful aspiration for all
the billionaires and all the oligarchs now it's a laughingstock i mean people people ridicule them
openly and so things have changed you know like these things are not cemented in time these things
are not immutable principles and you know they they sustain two major blows and so maybe the
French have said like okay we're done with this world economic forum but at the same time you know
the Anglo-Americans who might also be done with the world economic forums they're pulling one way
the French want to pull the other way and I think that the situation now is so dramatic in France
that they might be open to the idea that shit we know we have to trade with China we have to trade
with india we have to trade with russia uh we don't want to lose completely our our commerce
and you know business with africa so we have to you know we have to we have to make new deals we
have to make to quote again claus rob we have to reimagine and re redesign and all that but
you know on whose terms so speaking of which just so you have this piece of information as well
because it may support your theory uh benjamin netanyahu last week had announced that he's going
to china to meet with xi jinping and uh that is a blow for his relationship our relationship with
the u.s obviously because you know we are if there is a wef puppet we're the u.s puppet
and we have to be like the i mean israel has to be the uh the that that small everyone's saying
that we're like the the next star on the american flag like we have to do everything the u.s is
telling us to do and and i'm sure you've heard that that benjamin netanyahu went to the u.s and
biden didn't want to meet him oh no i didn't hear that is that right no yes he didn't want to meet
him so they did not meet in the us and he came back and you know the the protests and the
demonstrations are going on in israel now for about four months something like that for about
four months and they have accelerated uh in the last i mean not accelerated but just like becoming
stronger and stronger, and there are some new evidence.
I think it was posted in the Wall Street Journal, one of the US newspapers, that there are some
proofs that the Israeli demonstrations are being funded by some American sources, deep
state maybe.
So I wouldn't be surprised if, you know, the Americans are trying to teach Benjamin Netanyahu a lesson now.
They're trying to, like, you know, through this color revolution that is happening in Israel against this current regime that he's running.
And he's trying to show the U.S. that he can be independent without them.
And so he's going to China.
He also has the Abraham Accords with some of the Arab countries around here, like the peace with Dubai.
He's trying to talk to the Saudis.
I don't know if he's successful so far, but he's making moves to kind of signal to the East that he's here, you know.
And that's problematic for the Americans, I'm sure.
and so it's going to be very interesting to see what happens with the demonstrations in israel
because i am certain that they would love to have a civil war inside of israel as well
similarly to what they're doing in france i don't know if they want to blow up the country but
they definitely want to create a lot of war and tension inside of israel because they want to
teach him a lesson and Benjamin Netanyahu a lesson, and I'm not pro-Benjamin Netanyahu
at all.
I think he's highly corrupt, but I'm just seeing the bigger powers at play, not just
the left against the right or the orthodox against the secular or the Arabs against the
Jewish.
It's a lot more than that.
think it's a bigger play i yeah i understand that i think i think i like benjamin netanyahu
about as much as i like um emmanuel macron but i think yeah but i think that the stakes
or trudeau yes same category but you know i think that the the the games the the struggles that are
are going on in the world are now so much bigger and the stakes are so much higher that i think
you know like in case of emmanuel macron i think you know like the the it's the i think the
sovereignty of france is in question and uh as much as i dislike macron he's the one who is in
the elise palace and he's the one at helm so uh you know if you if you don't support him you're
actually helping the people who are destroying destroying france as we're speaking
it must be so difficult for the citizens that are being played along because they don't see
the bigger picture and obviously they hate him after i mean many people hate him after so many
bad years in power so how do you make them kind of see a bigger play and and try and like i don't
know help him put order and and rescue the country like they they wouldn't know they just want to
revolt against him well you know people don't know because the system is is is created in a
way that it constantly confuses and disorients the people and the media are non-stop propagandizing
people and misleading them and making sure that they have no context to what the events really
are because if they did understand and if they did get the context and the
truth you know like they would rise up and they would they would change the
government and you know God knows what would happen well I think that the the
only way you act against this is by trying to dig up the truth understand
what's going on and then share it so that more and more people may understand
so that they don't make themselves fodder for, you know, agendas that are not their own,
that are actually against their own interests,
and that they might put pressure on their government in the right way.
So, you know, what can we do?
I think the best thing we can do is to read research, think, talk to each other,
share information, and, you know, refuse to get ourselves silenced.
i agree with you and on that note some last words of hope that you want to give because
you started hopeful and i want you to end hopeful as well on how this crazy crazy world is going to
be for us in the future and i share your vision of you know building a better world for our kids
we must
well if that I you know I'm I'm genuinely optimistic you know it's not just I'm not
just saying words I I think that the moment that we are living in today is is a very special moment
and you know the fact that I can speak with you today you know you're in Israel I'm in Monaco
that we can share this information in real time that we can access almost any body of knowledge
and analyze and think and research and you know like we can even you know like the the really
truly amazing thing about this constant interaction is that you know like i can say something to you
and maybe maybe i guess something completely wrong but for sure somebody some somebody among
your viewers will know that i'm wrong and then they will you know they will react and they will
comment and they will you know like they will correct it and i think in this you know like
back 500 years ago you know isaac newton said that if i could see farther it's because
i stand on the i stood on the shoulders of giants i think that what we have today is not that we can
stand on the shoulders of giants I think that we are all constantly climbing over each other and
we're reaching higher you know like it's almost like an organic groan of these vines that are
just going it's and and I think that we are better placed than any generation before us
to to create a new reality a new world and you know we are here for a reason
we're not an accident here we're not living here by somebody's consent and permission
we are god's divine creation we have every right to be here we have every right to
build and design the life that is fulfilling that is um what we what what corresponds with our
you know inner values and inner strivings and that's easy you know like we all love our children
We all want to be happy, we all want to create nice things, we all want to live the world in a better state than we found it, so that's not complicated.
The complicated part is going to be how we're going to put it together, but that's why we're here.
God gave us energy, God gave us brains, God gave us language to speak, and so this is the labor of this generation,
And I'm very privileged to be able to contribute at the best of my ability.
And so are you, and so are many people, even people who listen,
because they share their thoughts and information with their friends and family members.
And I think that we're getting somewhere.
And I love the Confucian quote, which says that when a large tree falls,
it falls with great destruction and noise but seeds grow without any noise without a sound
and what tells what that tells me is you know like that all these all these terrible things
that we are witnessing today is the collapse of old dysfunctional structures and so you know
the image of a tree falling with great noise you know like that's captivating that like
mesmerizes and transfixes us and that's what we we look at but you know like at the same time
these seeds are growing without any sounds and so we don't pay attention to them but the power
of these seeds growing is probably a million times greater than this destruction that is
attracting our our attention so i think that we have to feel encouraged we have to remind
ourselves that we are those seeds you know like us thinking and growing and learning and
acting in life to make things better around ourselves that's what those seeds are and
the thing is that you never know what they might grow into because you know like you don't know
when you see a seed you don't know what it becomes when it's mature but i think that you know
everything that nature creates is beautiful so we should also expect that what we create will
be beautiful so you know that's the that's that's the let's say that that's the philosophy that's
at the root of my optimism and that's why it's practically incurable in me
I wish that everyone holds your philosophy and I wish you keep holding on to this philosophy
because it's magical and it's beautiful and inspirational and I'm very, I'm privileged
that I had met you in the UK a couple of months ago, I'm very, very happy that we met and
And I'm so thankful and grateful for the time you invested in not only discussing with me
but giving from your knowledge to other people and sharing your wisdom so that other people
can learn and take action out of it.
It's a very, very generous act, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you very much, Efrat, that's very kind.
my pleasure and my privilege and I'm very happy to do it and I'm also very
happy that we met and it's a it's been a lot of fun speaking to you and it was
gratifying wonderful thank you Alex thank you thank you
Thanks for watching!
