Brie and Clint.
The Best Bits.
Once upon a time, there was a girl.
She was smart, debatable, talented, eh, athletic.
Not really.
But picking a movie title based on just the plot line,
that she can do.
Brie and Clint, what's the plot?
A movie guessing game, where if you can guess two movie plots correct before Brie does,
today you'll walk away with $1,000 cash.
Had a bit of a shaky week last week, and I think the pressure is getting to me.
It's these milestone games, right?
They're the hard ones.
It's the pressure cooker.
This is the game.
Natalie is here.
She thinks she can take the $1,000.
Hi, Natalie.
Hi, Natalie.
Hi there.
How are we doing?
What's your credentials?
What's your movie prowess?
How many movies are you watching a week?
I'm not watching a lot of movies, but I do like reading the bios and just Googling them
and getting a feel for what's out there.
Oh, what the hell?
Where have we found this person?
She might be perfect.
Oh, my God.
She couldn't be more perfect.
That's better than seeing the movie.
You know what it's about.
This seems like a stitch-up.
Well, Natalie.
I can cross it pays off.
I mean, good luck, Natalie.
May the best woman win.
Oh, and can I just say,
I'm going to buzz in with Nat, not Natalie,
just because it's shorter.
Nat Brie,
that sounds fair.
She is so here to play.
I am packing it.
She knows the rules.
You buzz in with your name
when you want to guess.
You don't wait for me
to finish the plot line.
You go as soon as you think
you know what it is,
but if you don't get it right,
the other person
gets a free guess.
Here it comes, everybody.
Your theme this week,
because we are playing for such big money,
huge money, $1,000 in What's the Plot today,
your theme, the most expensive movies ever made.
Now, on this list, there are lots of Avengers, Star Wars, Harry Potters.
They're hard because you can't.
And Pirates of the Caribbean
Really? Guess which ones?
I've removed them all
Okay
Oh no
Okay
Because I can't be Pirates of the Caribbean
Journey to
There's like a million of them
Maroubra Bar or whatever that
I don't know what they're called
So there are none of those movies in here
Okay
Ladies, here comes your first film
When President Ulysses S. Grant learns that the diabolical inventor,
Dr. Arliss Loveless, is planning to assassinate him,
he orders Civil War hero James West...
Brie!
Brie.
Oh, it's the Will Smith movie. Wild, Wild West! Wild, James West. Brie. Brie. Oh, it's the Will Smith movie.
Wild, Wild West.
Wild, Wild West is correct.
That movie cost $170 million back in 1999, and it was a huge flop.
You couldn't tell when you watched it.
It was a shocker.
It wasn't his best.
One point to Brie.
Oh, my God, my heart is beating.
Natalie, have you seen Wild Wild West?
No, I have not.
No idea on that one.
Don't bother, okay?
It's not good.
You're not missing out, Nat.
Movie number two.
Beautiful Princess Rapunzel has been locked away in a tower
since she was captured as a baby by an old hag, Nat.
I'll try Tangled.
Tangled, the animated film from 2010, is correct.
Nice work, Nat.
I had no idea.
I've never seen it.
It's an animated film that cost $260 million.
Hopefully it made some at the box office. It did.
It's a Pixar one right now.
Now we're down to a tiebreaker.
Oh no.
This is for the win.
Nat, for you, this is for $1,000.
Look how nervous producer Anastasia
looks for me. She's biting her nails.
She gets so nervous. Brie, if you win, we play
for $1,050 next week.
Movie number three. In the most expensive movies, So nervous. Brie, if you win, we play for $1,050 next week. Okay.
Movie number three.
In the most expensive movies of all time.
This remake of a 1933 classic follows a director and his crew on a journey from New York to an ominous island to film a...
Oh, no, no!
Nat, for the win.
I want to say King Kong.
She's right.
That's it.
King Kong.
From 2005.
Oh, no!
Which cost $207 million.
Is the correct answer.
Well done, Nat.
Well done, Nat. Well done, mate.
I can't believe it was on the $1,000 game.
But I'm very stoked for you, Nat.
You deserve to win.
The $1,000 is going your way.
Thank you so much.
Oh, I'm going to use it on flights to go see my family.
Oh, yes.
Oh, whereabouts are your family?
Todoronga, going up from Christchurch.
Oh, well, this was meant to be, Nat,
and I'm glad you can reunite with your family.
You deserve to win this afternoon.
Oh, thank you so much, guys.
I've been playing along in the car for so long
and never had the guts to call up,
but I thought, bugger it, it's the $1,000 game.
Got to give it a go.
And that was a great game, too.
The winner's circle, Nat.
That's the way to win it.
We're going to make sure You eat well tonight as well
Thanks to KFC
You get 50 KFC chicken dollars
Congratulations
Oh I've won the cake
Thanks for playing Nat
And we appreciate you
Listening to the show
Nice work
Oh thank you so much guys
Such fun
Alright we'll play
For a poultry $50 next week
Oh I have goosebumps
I feel shattered
I'm stoked for Nat
But back to the drawing board, I think.
The best bits of ZDM's Brie and Clint.
Once upon a time, there was a girl.
She was smart, debatable, talented, eh, athletic.
Not really, but picking a movie title based on just the plot line,
that she can do.
Brie and Clint, What's the Plot?
As big dog stuff, we're playing for $800,
and today it is the rematch.
Welcome back to the show, Louise,
who beat Brie in What's the Plot two years ago.
Oh, no.
I didn't see her on the radio, just in my head.
Oh, my God.
Louise.
I thought we had a returning champion.
There are so few champions out there.
Not many.
I thought to get one back on the radio, this is huge.
But, hey, just as big to have you here, Louise.
No, wait, you beat her in your head?
I was playing in the car.
Okay, alright. I wasn't on the radio.
And two years ago was the last time you were able to
beat her, is that right? Yeah.
Okay, well today is your day. Oh no, Louise.
You are due.
I'm a good character if the scene's
hidden. Yeah, right. If you've never heard
What's the Plot, Brie
and Louise today will go head-to-head
guessing movies
as quickly as they can
while I read out plot lines.
You buzz in with your name.
You have a guess.
If you get it right
you get a point
and the first to two
correct movies
wins the game.
Today the prize is
$800 cash
thanks to KFC.
Alright.
Good luck everybody.
Don't wait for me
to finish the movie plot before you buzz in.
Today we are playing
with the best movies
released between 2005
and 2015
according to the critics.
Okay.
Movie number one.
After receiving
a license to kill
Brie. Oh well I don't know which one. After receiving a licence to kill...
Brie.
Brie.
Oh, well, I don't know which one.
I'm going to need to know which one.
James Bond.
No Time To Die.
Wrong.
Had to take a guess.
Louise, would you like a free guess?
Oh, I don't know my James Bond movies.
No.
You can't give up.
You have to just have a stab.
Um, I couldn't even name a James Bond movie. No. You can't give up. You have to just have a stab.
I couldn't even name a James Bond movie.
You can't name a James Bond movie.
That's embarrassing.
Okay, that's right.
I'll carry on.
Maybe there's a clue in the plot line for you.
After receiving a license to kill,
our main character heads to Madagascar where he uncovers a link to a man
who finances terrorist organisations.
Learning that he plans to raise money in a high-stakes poker game.
Brie.
Brie.
James Bond.
Casino Royale.
That is correct.
Norse, Dutch and Go.
We don't have many James Bond fans among us.
Don't worry, there are no other James Bond movies in this game.
That's good.
That's good for me.
Louise, does that work for you?
That works for me.
Good, good, good, good, good.
Okay, movie number two.
With their beloved owner preparing to leave for college,
our two main characters...
Louise.
Louise. Louise.
Toy Story 3. Toy Story
3. Is that
what you said? Yep.
What? Well done
Louise. I know
my kids very well. Yeah, wow. Well done.
2010's Toy Story 3.
That was incredible
Louise. We have a game
everybody.
This is Match Point.
This is for the win.
Okay, I'm nervous now.
That was incredible.
The only clue you have is that it is a movie released between 2005 and 2015.
Good luck to everybody playing along in the car.
Movie number three.
Dr. Stone is a medical engineer on her first mission.
Her commander is a veteran of his field,
helming his last mission before retirement.
Then, during a routine test by the pair, disaster strikes.
Something on the mission is destroyed,
leaving our two main characters stranded with no link back to Earth.
Yes, Bree.
Interstellar?
Interstellar is wrong.
Free guess, Louise.
Oh, I know what it is. You've got the genre right.
You don't have the movie right.
I don't know what it's called.
Louise, you want to guess?
Oh, I don't know.
I know what it is.
What's it called?
I'll buzz you out in three, two, one.
They have no link back to Earth and no hope of rescue.
As fear turns to panic, they realise the only way home may be to venture further into space.
I'll start spelling the title of the movie.
G.
Brie. Brie.
Brie.
Gravity.
Gravity is correct.
Don't deserve it though.
I don't deserve it.
No one deserved the win today.
No one deserved it.
But unfortunately it had to go to somebody and the win streak continues.
Louise, you can't have the $800, but you do get 50 KFC chicken dollars.
Okay.
Congratulations.
That's awesome.
Thank you. but you do get 50 KFC chicken dollars, okay? Congratulations. That's awesome. Louise, that was the most incredible display
that you gave in that second movie.
That Toy Story one.
Very well done.
Yeah.
Brain Clit.
The Bispits.
Time for What's the Plot?
Once upon a time, there was a girl.
She was smart, debatable, talented, eh, athletic.
Not really, but picking a movie title based on just the plot line.
That she can do.
Bree and Clint's What's The Plot?
Our movie guessing game where today the jackpot is $600 cash.
Up in the running is you, Melanie.
Welcome to the show.
G'day, Mel.
Hi. Hi.
Hello. Have you ever watched the Plotted before with us? Have you been on here?
Every week. Every week. Oh, every week in the car.
How do you go, Mel?
I beat you last week. Did you?
Yeah, I had a bit of a shocker last week, didn't I?
Yeah.
Okay, well, you didn't have to agree with me, Mel.
No, that's good. That's good. Attack her confidence, Melanie. Oh, no, she don't have to agree with me, Mel. No, that's good.
That's good.
Attack her confidence, Melanie.
Oh, no, she's in my head now.
You've got to start knocking the legs out early if you want this $600.
Mind game.
Yeah.
Okay.
I'll give you guys the theme, and then we will get into the game.
Obviously, Melanie, you know the rules.
I start a plot.
You buzz in with your name.
As soon as you think you know what it is and have a guess,
you do not wait for me to finish
the plot line before you guess, yeah?
Yes, Greg. Okay, alright. Back to
our theme. Alright, the theme. Today
we celebrate the birthday
of one of the most iconic
directors of the last 30 years.
Instantly recognisable
for his style of movies.
Spanning
multi-generations,
today is the 64th birthday of Tim Burton.
Right.
Brilliant.
Oh, no.
You're a fan, Mel?
Yes, big fan.
Okay.
I mean, I've probably seen heaps of the films.
I couldn't tell you which ones he's directed, if I'm honest.
Turn your radios up, folks.
Oh, no. This could be the day.
We could be about to give away
$600. Right, I've got to
get my head in this game. My heart is pounding
though, gosh. I'm so nervous.
You and me both, Mel.
Number one.
After Barbara
and Adam die in a car
accident,
they find themselves... Melanie.
Melanie.
Melanie.
Sleepy Hollow?
Sleepy Hollow is not Tim Burton.
Don't say anything else.
If you've had your guess, you'll give it away if you say something else.
It's not Sleepy Hollow.
No, I know the one it is.
I'll continue the plot line unless Brie wants to have a free guess.
I've died in a car accident.
Once Brie has either guessed Melanie or gives up her free guess,
you can buzz in again.
I mean Alice in Wonderland?
Alice in Wonderland is incorrect.
It's up for grabs again whenever anybody wants to buzz in.
After Barbara and Adam die in a car accident,
they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence.
I know what it is, but I can't think of the name of it.
Unable to leave the house.
Brie?
Yes, Brie.
Caroline?
Caroline's incorrect.
Is that a Tim Burton film?
Yes, it is.
The mood is right, but the movie is wrong.
You want a free guess?
That's what it's called.
Free guess, Mel?
No, I can't. Okay, you. You want a free guess? Free guess Mel? No, I can't.
You're giving up your free guess?
Yeah. Okay, anyone can buzz in again.
You can buzz in if you want to.
Okay, I'll let you keep start first.
Okay, when the unbearable
did... Brie? Beetlejuice? Beetlejuice is
correct. Yes! No, that wasn't
what I thought it was. I thought it was the vampire one.
Right. Oh, the death.
What's the something we see in the Sorrows or something?
What we do in the shadows.
That's the one.
That's a Taika Waititi movie.
That's right.
That was a few weeks ago.
Oh, I am shaking.
Movie number two, my obvious Tim Burton fans.
Here it comes.
A scientist builds
a human being
but dies. Brie.
Bicentennial Man. Bicentennial
Man is incorrect.
Tim Burton movies. Do you want a free
guess, Melanie? I don't know what they are.
Edward
Scissorhands. Edward Scissorhands is correct.
Oh no.
Wow, that was good, Melanie.
I didn't think you had that in you.
Yeah.
I wouldn't have got it, so well done, Mel.
Tim Burton movies.
Plot number three.
My bunghole is very tight right now.
The decider.
Whoever gets this is the champion.
I am nervous.
Mel is very good.
Okay.
This inventive adaptation follows the adventures of James.
Free!
James and the Giant Peach!
Oh, my God!
Is that it?
Mel, you almost had her.
You almost, you almost had her.
I feel like I've just run a marathon, Mel.
I'm saying you're a very worthy competitor.
That could have went either way.
Oh, Mel's gutted.
I can hear how gutted you are, Mel.
We can't send you away with $600.
We can send you away with 50K FC chicken dollars.
Thank you for playing Watch the Plants.
I love this every week.
Awesome, Mel. And hey, you're welcome
to call back anytime.
I will, I will.
We'll meet again in the future.
I think the Tim Burton movie you guys were thinking of was
Dark Shadows, by the way.
That's the one.
That's the one. Brie and Clint. The Bispits. Once upon a time, there was a girl.
She was smart, debatable, talented, eh, athletic.
Not really, but picking a movie title based on just the plot line,
that she can do.
Brie and Clint's What's The Plot?
Producer Claude was just mouthing the opener there.
I saw it.
It's hard not to.
It's really hard not to do it.
It's iconic, that intro.
Such a really good movie voice that guy has.
Today in What's the Plot, our movie guessing game,
we're playing for $800 cash.
If you're new to the Bree and Clint show,
the money jackpots every week that it is not won.
So today, Bree will be going for her 16th victory in a row.
This is where it gets really tough. Because today, Brie will be going for her 16th victory in a row. This is where it gets
really tough
because there's
a lot of pressure.
Here to take you down,
the only job today
is to make you lose
is Sam.
Hi, Sam.
Hi, Sam.
How you going?
You get this.
We'll put $800 cash
in your bank account.
How does that sound?
It sounds pretty
bloody good to me.
Okay.
You know you're moving?
Yes, Sam. I like the attitude, and I want you to win,
but I'm not going to give it to you, okay?
Oh, come on, Bree.
It's Sweet 16.
Come on.
Sweet 16.
Are you a movie buff?
Have you got a Neon subscription, Sam?
No, not Neon, but yeah, I watch the old thing here and there.
Oh, I don't know then.
I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know about your chances.
Here we go.
I'm just playing it cool.
Today, our theme, seeing as it is World Car Free Day today,
our theme is environmental disaster movies.
Ooh.
The very thing we are trying to avoid by going car free.
Some of my favourite films, apocalyptic style.
Yeah. Is that the vibe? Bugger, Sam. Some of my favourite films, apocalyptic style. Yeah.
Is that the vibe?
Bugger, Sam.
I do love these films.
Sam, what were you hoping for, sports movies?
Also some of my favourites.
Just anything, OK?
Yeah, OK.
No, you're in the game.
It's all in the wording, OK?
Just listen carefully.
Buzz in with your name when you think you know what it is.
Don't wait for me to finish the plot line.
Yeah. What do I say my name? me to finish the plot line. Yeah.
What do I say my name?
Your name is your buzzer.
Yeah, that's right.
First two wins.
Here we go.
Movie number one for $800
and what's the plot?
After a climatologist
is largely ignored by UN officials.
Bree.
Bree.
2012.
2012 is incorrect.
Wanted to stab at it. Sam? The
Day After Tomorrow. The Day After Tomorrow.
That could be right. Those movies
came out at the same time. They did.
Similar films. Similar films.
Arguably the same film.
The Day After Tomorrow.
He's right, isn't he?
Is correct. Oh, Sammy!
Sammy, get in! One's correct. Oh, Sammy! Sammy, get in!
One more.
Get in, Sammy!
Okay.
Jeez, I've got to get my game hat on.
You can win it here, Sammy.
Oh, God, this is pressure now.
I don't like being here.
Bree is on the ropes.
Okay, come on.
Movie number two.
Two low-level astronomers make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting...
Three.
Three.
Sorry, Sam was first.
Sam.
Armageddon?
That's not what I was going to say, but it could be right.
Armageddon is a movie about a comet or an asteroid. It's right, isn't it? You're joking. But it's be right. Armageddon is a movie about a comet or an asteroid.
Oh, it is right.
It's right, isn't it?
You're joking.
But it's not correct.
Try and click.
That's not the movie.
Bree, you get a free guess.
I'm going for the Jonah Hill movie.
I'm pretty sure it's called Don't Look Up.
The Leonardo DiCaprio one?
I don't know if it's right, but that's my guess.
Don't Look Up is correct.
I haven't seen that.
It's a good movie.
It's a great film.
It's Jennifer Lawrence.
It's got a star-studded cast.
All right, Sam.
This is the decider, okay?
Brie, no pressure, Brie.
Mate, I feel all the pressure already.
Much like the All Blacks at Eden Park this weekend with the rugby championship.
It's all on the line.
Whoever gets this gets the win.
If it's Bree, we play again next week for $8.50.
If it's Sam, he walks away with $800
and we start back at $50 next week.
My heart is beating out of my chest.
Movie number three in our environmental disasters category.
We are on an alien world where it begins...
Sorry, we're on an alien world where it begins...
Excuse me, I've got the wording wrong here.
Let's go to the next question then.
Sam!
The story is
about a primitive but highly
evolved species.
Sam!
Sam was first
by the slimmest of margins.
Sam for the win.
Is it Predator?
Predator is incorrect.
It's Avatar.
It's Avatar.
Sam!
Damn you, mate!
Sam!
Sammy, that was such an exciting game.
Oh, what a competitor you were.
Sam. Yeah, we'll play again next week, eh?
Wait, let's play again.
I'm ready to take you on again.
What a game you played.
You played very well.
You don't go home empty-handed.
We'll send you out with 50K FC chicken dollars.
Well done, Sam.
Glad to go.
Thank you very much, guys.
All good.
That's the plot.
Sammy, what an absolute show.
Bram Clitt.
The best bits. Once upon a time, there an absolute show. Brie and Clint. The best bits.
Once upon a time, there was a girl.
She was smart, debatable, talented, eh, athletic.
Not really, but picking a movie title based on just the plot line,
that she can do.
Brie and Clint's What's The Plot?
Our movie guessing game where you take Brie on head-to-head to win cash.
All you've got to do is pick two movie plots before she does.
And today, our jackpotted prize amount is $850 cash, Brie.
There is a lot on the line, Clint,
and I'm getting more and more nervous every time we play.
Kirsty's here to take you on.
Hi, Kirsty.
Hi.
Hi, Kirsty.
There has never been a better time to beat Bree in this game.
Not just because the cash is so high.
8.50, how good.
But she is in a foreign location right now.
We don't know where she is, but she is not in the studio.
And you may have noticed
there's a little bit of a delay, Kirsty.
Yes.
So that will play into your advantage.
You have slightly less of a delay than Bree does.
Awesome.
But that's not everything.
It's going to come down to movie knowledge.
Okay.
Today, our theme,
movies about money.
Because not only do we have $850 cash,
at 5 o'clock we're going to try and give away $100,000 cash
with The Secret Sound.
So it's all about money here today on The Brian Clint Show.
Your buzzer is your name.
Do not wait for me to finish any of these movie plots.
If you know it, buzz in and give it a go, okay?
Okay.
Good luck, Kirsty. Brie, you ready to go? I'm ready.
Alright, here we go. Good luck to both of you. Movie number one.
Life is a struggle for single father
Chris. Evicted from their apartment. Brie!
Brie. The pursuit of happiness.
Is it about money?
Well, yeah, because he doesn't have any money
and then he tries to get a job and all he ever wants is money.
That's what it's about, surely.
Correct.
The Pursuit of Happiness was movie number one.
Kirsty, you're still with us.
I am.
I knew that one. Did you?
Yeah. This is the key.
Buzz in as soon as you think you
know it, okay? Your brain will get
a split second after that buzzer to process
it. Okay.
Good round. First round. Here comes movie
number two.
As 18-year-old Jamal answers questions on the Indian...
Kirstie.
Kirstie.
Slumdog Millionaire.
Slumdog Millionaire.
It's definitely about money.
It's got millionaire in the title.
But...
That's correct.
Wow, Kirstie. That's correct. Wow, Kirsty, that was good.
Very good.
Tie ball game.
This is for the win.
Movie number three.
In 1987, Jordan takes an entry...
Kirsty.
Kirsty.
Oh, she's got it. Wolf of Wall Street. Oh, she's got it.
Wolf of Wall Street.
Oh, she's got it.
The Wolf of Wall Street.
On game number 17 of this season of What's the Plot?
Is absolutely correct.
Amazing work, Kirsty.
Very, very well done from you.
A good opponent.
Thanks, Bree.
It has taken almost the entire year
for someone to take Bree down in What's the Plot?
And you've just done it.
Congratulations, Kirsty.
Thank you so much.
And I don't know...
Kirsty, $800.
I need that so much.
You do?
What's it going to go towards?
Oh, well, my car just failed a warrant for probably that.
That's boringly convenient, isn't it, Kirsty?
I know, I know.
But that's life, right?
Kirsty, you deserve every dollar of that.
I wouldn't have beaten her if I was in the studio, Clint.
That was incredible.
That's what I was going to say.
I don't think the delay played into that at all.
You won that fair and square.
We'll get you your cash.
Well done, Kirsty.
Awesome, thank you.
Thank you so much, guys.
Amazing.
Brian Clint.
Thanks, Kirsty.
We'll start again at $50 next time we play What's The Problem?
