Starting point is 00:00:00 Isn't she at the after party? Hi everybody, how are we going? Good, how are you? You're good. I was thinking a lot about the Travis Kelsey podcast. You're obsessed. You're always going on about it, man. I'm not obsessed.
Starting point is 00:00:21 I'm not obsessed. I'm not obsessed. We're trying to get some space from it. You just will just keep bringing up. Have you guys ever listened? No, because we're podcasting, so we're talking about podcasts. Have you, have you guys? listened to that podcast?
Starting point is 00:00:31 I've only seen the clips and I feel like for me it's a clip podcast. 95% of people only watch the clips for podcasts. I don't think I could do an hour of it. I assume they're an hour. Yeah. Or more. I listen to one and who did they have on? Ben Stiller.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Oh, that's quite cool. Yeah. But how they do their podcast is if they have a guest on, half of the podcast is the guest. Yeah. And then the other half of the podcast is their usual jibba jabber. Oh. And then they talk a bit about the guest.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Okay. And then they go into talking. talking about they talk a lot about sports obviously which is their core stuff um yeah it wasn't for me is it edited or did they ramble they ramble which i kind of prefer these days i don't like an edited podcast i like it just unfiltered that's yeah for me radio is more of the think about it filter which i don't so i'm working on that podcast is worth that but even then radio is not edited no no but i know what you're saying it's more tight and concise edit in your brain there's three o'clock hours of kids in the car like podcast people choose to listen to you they know what they're going
Starting point is 00:01:33 to get one of the other biggest podcasts in the world is the dax shepherd armchair expert podcast oh yeah and i listened to his brad pitt episode the other week they edit oh so they they they snip the silences so everything is really fast so there's no breathing room yeah oh you're probably ai does it help with pacing or does it is it noticeable I think for some people who like it like that, it does, but it takes away the natural sort of convivial nature of it. Yeah, well, yeah, like you think of a movie. Obviously, you're sitting down, you're watching something,
Starting point is 00:02:11 you know what to expect, but podcasts, they're conversations. Yeah, it needs to breathe. That's why I like the breathing and the space. And that's why, across, they're our friends, sister station, brother station, Hodaki, they're just so like, yeah, mate, pause. Let it breathe. Yeah, mate, that. And I like it.
Starting point is 00:02:30 Don't edit that out. No, it's part of it. It's part of it. Also news talk at late night. Oh, that's nothing like that. Oh, Marcus slash the king of the long silence. Like 20 seconds of him just, uh, looking through the text machine. Uh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Yeah. Yeah. Paul said this. I wonder, because we have a thing here at ZEM where if there is more than, I think it's eight seconds of silence. That's it. A light starts flashing and then if there's more than 10 or so seconds or something. The sprinklers come down.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's something crazy. Brey and I tested it once and got on a lot of trouble. Yeah, you would. Well, actually, because it's such good, like, video content for online. Oh, my God, it was a banger. It was a banger. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Because there's an emergency tape that plays. Yeah. But every place around the country has a different emergency tape loaded up. And you don't hear anything from here, do you? We don't hear anything. And we wanted to know what the song was because none of us hit, no one has changed the emergency song for years. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Anyway, we've gotten a lot of fucking trouble. Why did I say that? Oh, yeah. I wonder what the. silence amount they allow on a talkback station is because they have a lot of silence it would have to be longer we should bring this to mike hosking i used to work in talk back no silence on the hosking show no he's bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang he's rapid he is when i was producing in talkback there was i didn't know if there was a hard and fast
Starting point is 00:03:51 rule but generally there was no silence like if you have to keep talking you just keep talking you do not stop talking what happened to that talk back station claud Gone. It went silent, let's say. It's an extended period of silence. Were you on today, Femm? No, the other one. The one that preceded that one.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Which one was that? Radio live. Oh! And then I worked at Magic Talk, which then turned into Today FM. And then I worked at R&Z as well. Oh, that's right. I've done around.
Starting point is 00:04:20 How many radio stations have you sent under? Only two. Well, technically three. Are you trying to sabotage ZDM as well? Yeah, it's the long game though I've been here for three years and I'm slowly taking it down Has anyone watched
Starting point is 00:04:33 This just reminds me of it Like the mole You're the mole trying to sabotage There's a show on Netflix I think Called the mole And it's like survival Or whatever team building
Starting point is 00:04:43 You do challenges And the team Is trying to do it But one person's like The imposter mole Trying to sabotage When Brie gets like Shall all three of us be the mole
Starting point is 00:04:54 Yeah Or is that just bullying Oh right That's funny When Brie gets back We should Adopt like an accent But don't tell her about it
Starting point is 00:05:04 And we all do it Or we all just change the way We say one word Yes Oh my gosh Prokolai Prokalai Prokalise
Starting point is 00:05:11 That was iconic We did that a couple years ago And Brin was not proud She really went back and forth Of like Are you guys? Am I going crazy? You guys are wrong right
Starting point is 00:05:22 I love Prokalai We need to do something right Yeah Yeah Yeah Clint loves doing this Love's a prank We need to have a successful prank
Starting point is 00:05:31 I'm the original prankster Yeah Back in the day when you worked at the other radio station Because they're quite pranky Did you do pranks and did you like it? Not particularly no You've never been a prank guy eh Yeah
Starting point is 00:05:41 Because they've got to be good Brie is quite good at her pranks So I don't mind hurts She executes them very well Yeah We've talked about pranks And there's some people don't The things some people don't get about pranks
Starting point is 00:05:54 Is they can't be mean the person being pranked needs to be able to laugh at the end too Yeah right Like when I mooned you guys You weren't harmed That's funny yeah It hurt my eyes though
Starting point is 00:06:06 It was all bright I did fart But if you had pulled my pants down And like wrapped your willie Yeah yeah That's not fun That hurts Yeah
Starting point is 00:06:15 My little Willie Yeah Owies So that's my advice to anyone Who's planning a prank at the moment It should be funny for everyone And has there ever been a prank done on you that wasn't nice.
Starting point is 00:06:26 You don't have to say, but have you been hurt by a prank? No, I don't remember being hurt by a prank. Well, that's good. Should we get her a loaf of fruit toast? Right?
Starting point is 00:06:34 Yeah, yeah, yeah. She loves fruit toast. Yeah, and fill it with sardines. No, no, no, no. She gets to eat the fruit toast, but every day we replace it with an identical
Starting point is 00:06:41 but full loaf of fruit toast. Oh, so it never goes down. Whoa, mess with her. That's funny. Because it'll make it feel like she's going crazy but then she ends up with fruit toast. No, but wouldn't she just throw it out eventually?
Starting point is 00:06:51 She'd like, I've had this fruit toast for five days. Yeah, right. And then we'd end up with like six half loaves of fruit toast. So be it. This is win, win, win. Yeah, I want to do something to her, though. Fruit toast, but fill it with laxatives. I love the pranks.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Overseas do it a lot, like TV show hosts, where they like barge into someone's home and they're in bed. You know, and they're like, what's up? And there's like cameras. You know, I love that stuff. Those are very really real. What? What?
Starting point is 00:07:21 Because if you notice, if you look close, why is there a camera already in the room you get a shot of the door opening from inside the room I just imagine they quickly go there It's like when queer I arrive at someone's house to do the makeover and that shows the person opening the door
Starting point is 00:07:35 everything's fake They're like oh my God I weren't expecting you even though I'm in full makeup and there's already a camera inside my house Also if we did that to Bree she has dogs and I feel like that would be no fun for anyone Not really
Starting point is 00:07:46 Okay we'll do it to you Clint X prized We'll give you his dog Yeah Thanks for that Someone said dogs Let's go home Let's go home Let's sit on the couch time
