Starting point is 00:00:00 The ZM Podcast Network Welcome to the After Party Welcome to the After Party Have you deleted the one where you and Ella were singing? Has that one been removed? I just moved it You removed it, eh? I moved it
Starting point is 00:00:14 Oh, you moved it I keep clicking trying to find it because none of them are named what they are I keep clicking hoping I'm going to get that one You'll never find it Oh well Hey, um, uh No one's here to fuck spiders, so let's go. It's my birthday.
Starting point is 00:00:29 It's my birthday. Oh, sorry. Wait, wait, wait. Sorry. I don't want to assume what you guys are into. Yeah, I'm very sorry. Is anyone here to fuck a spider? Ella's here to knife dance.
Starting point is 00:00:38 I got a knife. Why? For your mango. Do you want to do that later? Oh, we're going to cut the mango. We don't have to do it. We can. Up to you guys. We can multitask. Actually, I wouldn't mind a bit of mango. Bring you want to do that later? Oh, we're going to cut the mango. We don't have to do it. We can. Up to you guys. We can multitask. Actually, I wouldn't mind a bit of mango. Bring it on in.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Bring in the mango. Bring it on in. Alright, you bring that in. We'll get this ready. Birthday Banger. The podcast. Yep. International birthday bangers. While Ella retrieves her mango, we're going to do one for Samantha Jackson from Tauranga, New Zealand. Samantha Jackson, you were born on the 11th of April, 1993, which means you were 16 in 2009, my love.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And on your 16th birthday, this was number one. Damn, that's a big mango. That's a juicy, juicy mango. That's a big mango. That's a juicy, juicy mango. That's a big mango. Yeah, right? This is, I knew, I told you it was an R2-D2. What does that mean, though? Why do you keep calling them R2-D2s?
Starting point is 00:01:35 It's not a robot. This is the variety of mango. It's called, you know how like an apple is, there's a jazz apple? Yeah. This is an R2-D2. Why are they allowed to call it an R2-D2? Surely the George Lucas Company wouldn't be happy with that. Maybe this came first. Yeah. This is an R2-D2. Why are they allowed to call it an R2-D2? Surely the George Lucas Company wouldn't be happy with that.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Maybe this came first. Okay. Yep, fair enough. You never know. Do you want to show us how to cut the mango before we do the next birthday bang? We needed to comment on Samantha Jackson's Poker Face great song.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Yeah, bang on. Literally was telling Clint earlier how that song is about Lady Gaga sleeping with a man but thinking about a woman so she can orgasm. Yeah, wild. That's what that song's about. Go Queen. She's got me like nobody. Ella's mind is blown
Starting point is 00:02:11 right now. Yeah. Okay, so a mango. Look at that mango. This one smells pretty good, Ella. A mango for all you Kiwis because the Aussie listeners of this podcast, let me just say, quite hard to get a mango here in New Zealand. Like, they don't have Kensington mangoes here. Nah. Which, in my opinion, is the best variety by Country Mile. You're going to have to describe really well what you're doing with this mango.
Starting point is 00:02:37 So, the best way to cut a mango, is that a dirty plate? It's had a custom square on it. Oh, a custom square, that's fine, that's fine. So, the best way to cut a mango is you put it on its side and then you just want to cut one of it. Mangoes have sides. That's a side.
Starting point is 00:02:53 That's a side. You want to put it on one of its edges. And then you want to cut one of the sides off the mango and as close to the seed as you can. So you want to hug the seed. Hug that seed. Hug that seed.
Starting point is 00:03:07 You can kind of feel it with your knife. Hug the seed. Hug the seed. And you get like a piece like that. Oh, this is quite a ripe mango, juicy one. And then you kind of want to cut in that side. You want to do diagonals one way. Like you're scoring a Christmas ham.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Like you're scoring a Christmas ham and you don't want to go through the skin. But deep enough to the skin. Yes, exactly. And then you want to turn it and then cut it diagonally in the other direction so you make diamond shapes in the mango. Yeah. And then you want to get your fingers and you want to push up and it should pop open and it should look like
Starting point is 00:03:45 hair. Like, you know, like hair on the top of your head. Whoa. Spiky. Like a hedgehog. Looks like Bart Simpson. Yeah. And that's how you eat a mango.
Starting point is 00:03:54 And then you do the other side. Can you not eat mango skin? Oh, no. I wouldn't. It's real bitter. Really? Cut me off a bit. You want to eat a bit of the mango skin?
Starting point is 00:04:03 Okay. God, this is quite a good mango, Ella. You picked well. She had to me off a bit. You want to eat a bit of the mango skin? Okay. God, this is quite a good mango, Ella. You picked well. She had to call someone for help. Did she? Okay, here you go. Oh, just skin. I want a mango with it. It's got mango on it. Oh, don't eat the skin. That's bullshit. It's real bitter. It's not inedible though. Not inedible, but you don't want to eat the skin. Okay, thank you for the demonstration. Oh, shit. It's real bitter. It's not inedible, though. Not inedible, but you don't want to eat biscuit. No. Okay, thank you for the demonstration.
Starting point is 00:04:27 God. Does anyone want a piece of mango? Yes, please. Okay. Let's do a birthday banger for Olivia Henderson from Edinburgh, Scotland. Scotland. Okay. Squad!
Starting point is 00:04:35 Get out, Olivia! You were born on the 22nd of November, 2003, so you're 16 in 2019. And Olivia is your birthday banger dance monkey dance monkey dance banger came up on the radio birthday banger this week I'm back on board
Starting point is 00:04:58 with this song me too I fell off it because I played so much and now I'm back on board yeah I like it okay one more we're gonna do it for Robzaka.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Robzaka. Robzaka. Robzaka from Kansas. Oh, Ella. This is the best mango I've had in New Zealand. Focus. Sorry. Focus.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Sorry, Rob. You were born on April Fool's in nine. Oh, God, that's the best birthday ever He was born on April 1st So April Fool's in the year 1969 I think that's the greatest birthday I've ever seen You were 16 Rob in 1985 And this is your birthday banger
Starting point is 00:05:38 Oh the tune I love this song so much That's my vote. Easy Lover by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins. I didn't realise there was someone else on the song. I thought this was just a Phil Collins song. But it's actually a Philip Bailey song that Phil Collins sings the chorus of.
Starting point is 00:05:57 And then Philip Bailey comes in with the really high bit. She's the kind of girl you dream of. Yeah, absolutely. No doubt in my mind whatsoever That one's for me Alright, let's get into the mango, everybody Juicy Have a great weekend, everybody We love you guys, we'll see you next week
