Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, is this the after party? Sure is. Bring any beers? Cheers. It's Bree and Clint's after party. What? What? What?
Starting point is 00:00:13 What is this ambiance? What is a Bree and Clint after party? Oh my God, look. Producer Claude and Producer Ella are at the party. Look. We're over there. And they're wearing tiny little party hats. What?
Starting point is 00:00:24 Who invited you guys? This was a closed event. Oh, I just followed someone else. Oh,'re wearing tiny little party hats. What? Who invited you guys? This was a closed event. Oh, I just followed someone else. Oh, same. Yeah, same here. I'm just always here. Actually, I live here. Yeah, it's your house.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Yeah, what are you guys doing here? You just answered the door. Weird. Looking for beers. You guys bring any beers? Always. Welcome to the first ever Bree and Clint after party. Kind of like a brand new podcast.
Starting point is 00:00:42 This here is exclusively stuff that you don't get on the Bree and Clint radio show. It's exclusively for our podcasters where we can be a little bit looser, a little bit longer, and a little bit more sweary. Yeah, if the moment calls for it. If we want to. Not saying we're going to swear heaps, but we can. I might. But it's an after party.
Starting point is 00:01:03 We can't predict how we're going to behave, can we? No. Like, Claudia lets it fly in the after party. Just the swear words coming out of your mouth. A sailor, you could say. Hottie mouth, yeah. Guys, hello. Are you still the sort of person who will host an after party at your house?
Starting point is 00:01:21 I remember when you lived in the city. How many times? Every single night out would end up at Bree's house. And I when you lived in the city. Every single night out would end up at Bree's house. And I'm not just talking like a full night out. If there was like a dinner Everyone ended up at my house. We would finish the dinner in Ponsonby and then it would be like
Starting point is 00:01:35 right back to Bree's. Yeah. And Bree was like hell yeah back to mine at the start anyway you were like that. And then after a couple of years I was kind of like guys we need to get a new spot because I've got neighbours. And it was quite fun being that person for a while, though. It's fun for a while. For a while.
Starting point is 00:01:53 I think I had the right amount of time. It was fun when you had flatmates that were on board with it and flatmates who were in our group of people that we wanted to hang out with. Yes, Alan and Annabelle. Yeah. Yeah. When you had the- Even Ross, like after like big work events,
Starting point is 00:02:05 he'd be like, all right, everyone back to Bree's house for the after party. And I was like, what? That's when you got to invoice them. I was like, you did... Okay, now this is a company activity. Yeah, I was like, you didn't even ask me.
Starting point is 00:02:16 You don't have to answer. Well, you do have to answer, but you don't have to give names. Did anybody... Shit on the floor? No, not shit on the floor. What are you asking? Did anybody that Shit on the floor? No, not shit on the floor. What are you asking? Did anybody that we know...
Starting point is 00:02:29 What? Boink. Boink. At my place? At your place at one of the after parties. On your bathroom or something? I don't believe so. Not that I knew about.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Someone did run a full bath in my en suite and got naked and tried to hop in. What? Wow. They didn't make it in? No, because I was too scared and how intoxicated she was, so I made her put her clothes back on. Oh, she? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Yeah. I was like, probably not a good idea to have a bath right now, just because, you know, I don't want to have to watch you. Yeah. Because you're quite drunk. You could have put some floaties on her. Yeah, could have done that. Just let her bob around for a bit.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Yeah. Yeah, but a bath is very dangerous when you're steamed. It is. There's nothing more relaxing than a bath and there's nothing more sleepy than being bozed. Yeah, you will fall asleep. Do I know that person? Yes. Oh, I want to guess. Were you not there for that? Nah.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Yeah, that was after a work event. It was fun. Yeah. And she was fine. I just was like no baths right now because like there was a million people in my room there was people like hanging out in my walk-in wardrobe there was so many people at my house that like the walk-in wardrobe was getting hung out in do you remember when um no names but when you came home from i didn't know what the event was and there was some prominent new zealand broadcaster in your lounge lovely Lovely person who we know, who we won't name,
Starting point is 00:03:46 but they were in your lounge uninvited, and they were like, G'day, doll. Wait, who was that? Do you not remember? I don't remember. Do you not remember? No. Turn the mics off.
Starting point is 00:03:59 I do remember, yes. It was after a big festival. That's right. And everyone was kind of walking back from where the festival was and then everyone had just ended up in my house as per usual. Yeah. And I went to have a shower because my night was done. I was exhausted.
Starting point is 00:04:17 I'd been dancing for like six hours. And I come out into the kitchen and I was like, G'day. My name's Bree. Hello, high profile New Zealand broadcaster. And why are you in my apartment? I'd never met this person before at that stage. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Yeah. How the tables turned when we ended up in their kitchen. I know. That was a good time. Till like two in the morning. Guys, where are these nights? Claudia and I have been here for a year. Yeah, we're here for boring Zedim.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Yeah, where's these nights? Claudia and I have been here for a year. Yeah, we're here for boring ZM. Yeah, where's the after parties? Clint went and got boring after he had some kids. We tried to schedule in a BYO with you guys after work one day, and it took like, we had to wait six weeks. It's scheduled. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Was that our fault, or was that, I believe it was Claudia's fault. It was only half my fault.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Okay, to be fair. That's what being an adult is. That's what being an adult is. That's not being an adult is. You've got to make your plans well in advance. Well, you better have a big night on that night. Well, guess what? Guess what? You better be good company.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Guess what? I am the best company. Give me red wine. I'm on the table. Here is my offer to you gals then, because Ella's been asking for this for a long time. Here's my offer. I'm wanting a good night. In two weeks are the radio awards.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Yeah. We're nominated are the radio awards. Yeah. We're nominated. We're nominated. And to be honest, we've lost so many times. It doesn't matter what happens. We always, you know, it's fine. I keep telling you, this is our year. It could be our year.
Starting point is 00:05:40 I promise you, if you girls are up to it, we will fucking send it in two weeks. Regardless? No, not regardless. This is not the contract I'm signing, no. Oh, regardless for me. Okay, cool. Yeah, regardless for me I'm going to send it. Regardless.
Starting point is 00:05:50 If we win, Clint then has to send it too. But here's the deal. I've had a tradition for the last two years that the radio awards, you go to the event, you're like good there, you don't have too many drinks. At the after parties where you can have drinks and have fun. But then we always go to the kick-on event and then we always end up at the casino. We play a bit of blackjack and then we always have a meal at the end of the night at Denny's.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Oh, Denny's. Yeah, count me in. That's the deal. Okay, what time is this? I'm getting a bit... Denny's is 24 hours. Denny's is usually around 3 or 4. Are you kidding me?
Starting point is 00:06:26 No. And then we come to work the next day. And then we come to work, yeah. Oh. Oh, you wanted to send it. See, now you don't want to send it. Sending it for me is like getting really good and lit and woohoo, but then ending it maybe like 1.30 too.
Starting point is 00:06:40 I'm happy with... You're almost at Denny's. You might as well keep going. Okay, lock in. You at least have to stay out till 2.30. Oh, my with. You're almost at Denny's. You might as well keep going. Okay, lock in. You at least have to stay out till 2.30. Oh my gosh. At least. I went out with Claudia on Friday night and left at night.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Oh my god. See, and I'm the one who got boring apparently. I just get, my social battery just drops off. I just get tired. I get that. I do get that. Yeah. Yeah. You just have to find the people you're comfortable with. This is my biggest thing. Find the people you're comfortable with this is my biggest thing find the people you're comfortable with and then and bring some spare batteries especially at radio
Starting point is 00:07:10 awards night if you walk around all the time there's like you know just you have to talk to every single person go make your hellos go say hellos and congratulations and then what i always do is i find a spot and then I bring in my close, comfortable people and then we just sit there and have a good time. The social battery thing is interesting though because at that wedding I was at last week while I was away, my best friend Adam, who I went over with, at 10 o'clock his social battery ran out
Starting point is 00:07:44 but we were staying on the property so he said i'm gonna go and just have a sit down for 10 minutes just a little bit of alone time recharge and then i'm coming back to the wedding because it's a wedding you want to be there as long as you can especially when we're flown all the way to perth yeah i walked into our shared room at 12 30 after the wedding had finished and he was asleep under the blankets still in his suit and his shoes. He was planning on coming back. He had the best of intentions
Starting point is 00:08:12 but got him. It happens. It does happen. It happened to me yesterday because we had heaps of people at our house for Mother's Day and we were cooking for everyone or whatever and then everyone kind of left and then my partner went for a sleep because she was working a night shift and I was like sat on the couch
Starting point is 00:08:30 with the dogs and I was like, oh, this is so nice just by myself. And then one of our friends came over unannounced and I was like, no. I was like, not that I don't like And love this friend of ours But I was like I just need Some time Get the fuck out of my house By myself
Starting point is 00:08:49 Get the fuck out of my house On the weekend Leave me alone This is my time To just relax Get the fuck out See told you There'd be a little bit of swearing
Starting point is 00:08:56 We got there Yeah you got I mean we promised it You gotta deliver Yeah Ella you hear something You wanted to ask us At the after party
Starting point is 00:09:04 Oh yeah What's Prince Harry's after party? Oh, yeah. What's Prince Harry's last name? Oh, Windsor. Actual? Yeah. Duke of Windsor? 22 years. I actually never knew.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Or is he Duke of Sussex? Windsor. He was the Duke of Sussex. I think he may have lost his title when he stopped working. Yeah. When he stopped being a working member of the royals. I don't know. Huh.
Starting point is 00:09:23 So, wait. Like, I'm Ella Sheppard. His don't know. Huh. So wait, I'm Alex Shepard. His last name is Windsor. Windsor, yeah. But they chose their own last name. Oh, really? The family did. If you could choose... Because their family name was too closely associated
Starting point is 00:09:37 with the German side of their family. Right. When World War I broke out. Why do you know so much about this? Because I'm old and I watch history stuff. Anyway, the name they had was too Nazi affiliated, so they had to invent a new name. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:09:54 You can't go to sleep boring when I say the Nazi bit. That was the interesting bit. That's interesting. I just find anything to do with the Royals so boring. Just not for me. Which is fine. Not everything's for everyone.
Starting point is 00:10:08 How good's Eurovision, though? I don't mind a bit of Eurovision, to be honest. It's quite entertaining if you've ever watched. Nah, this one was lame. This is the winner. I like it. I didn't like it. Go Finland.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Go Finland. Alright, everybody. Successful after party. Alright, guys. I'm going to get Nuba to do an Irish goodbye. Who's going to help? the winner alright everybody successful afterparty alright guys I'm gonna get Nuba to do an Irish goodbye who's gonna help who's gonna help
