Starting point is 00:00:00 F party, F party, F party, she at the F party Hi guys, welcome to an after party three way with B, C and E It's not gay if it's in a three way What if everyone in the three way is the same gender? Everyone is a little bit gay anyway But it'd be gay if everyone was a dude It just depends how much percent you're gay all right mmm but the saying it's not gay in a three-way sort of
Starting point is 00:00:31 refers to if there's like so you're a dude and there's I would never ever have a three-way with two men and me no thank, thank you. Not in a million years. Agree. Don't yuck somebody's yum. Yuck. Not. I'm yucking it for myself. For myself. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:52 A man and a woman. Yep. Two women. Yep. Never, ever two men, it's yuck. That's my opinion. What do you think, Ella? Agreed.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Yeah. Not my thing. Same, by the way. No, you said it has to be two men. No, no I was hypothesizing. Don't tar me with that brush. Anyway, onto your toaster, which we talked about in the other podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:15 You just posed the question, how long should a toaster last? Yes. I reckon it's changing. Everything's getting shorter. Everything is getting more disposable and everything is not fixable anymore. They don't make things to last. And you know what else I've noticed since the toaster has gone down in our household?
Starting point is 00:01:31 Doing re- because I never liked our toaster anyway. I thought it was shit. So this is the chance to get a nice one. Yeah, it didn't toast evenly. It took ages. Like it took so long to toast a piece of freaking bread and Well, this is the exciting part. I love, I love researching in your appliance. But here's the thing, right? Is I've done quite a lot of research. No toaster has that I've researched so far.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Yeah. Has got good reviews. What? There's got to be a toaster. Of course there's a toaster. There was, you know how Vogel's... Well, I'm not going to pay $400 for a toaster. What's your budget? You know how Vogels is the hardest toaster to toast, perfectly, in one go. There was a range of Vogels
Starting point is 00:02:12 endorsed toasters that they did last year, which could be a good place to start. I'm not a Vogels person though. No I know but it's the mark of a good toaster is what I'm saying. Like Vogels is the benchmark for toast. But not for me. No, I know, I know. No, I get what you're gonna say. But you need a really good toaster to be able to toast Vogel's properly. So if it's a toaster that does Vogel's good,
Starting point is 00:02:34 it will do your toast. What should I type in to find that article? Vogel's toaster. Vogel's toast, Vogel's approved toaster. Approved. I just, cause I was interested to know just now, because you said what's my budget, I reckon what's your guys budget on a toaster? 40 bucks. 200 bucks. Yeah, I reckon 150 bucks is where I'd want to be. I don't want to be paying more than $150 for my toaster. But I will say that I expect my $200 toaster to last 10 years.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Yeah, that's what I mean. If the toaster is awesome, then worth the money, I've just Googled best toaster on the market. Do you want to know what came up? So this one came up, it says that it's a four slice Nugen classic toaster in the color eucalyptus. Okay. Green. So it's a four slicer. It's toasting four slices. I've got a eucalyptus colored toaster. Is that green? Yeah. Yes. It's like a, yeah, like a lime. Is it going to be my toaster? $749. Not my toaster. Is this your toaster?
Starting point is 00:03:43 I was going to say if that's your toaster. No, I've never seen that toaster before. Get out. No. Yes. It could be his toaster. Oh my God, is it? Nah, my toaster's from JB Hi-Fi.
Starting point is 00:03:51 I bought it on sale with the matching jug. It's a Brivel, I think. Oh yeah, they're good. This is a Dua-Lit. Dua-Lit. Nice. Like $749. I expect that fucking toaster to butter
Starting point is 00:04:06 and put Vegemite on my toast. And sing me a song while it's at it. Do you wanna hear my toaster ideas? What? Toasters with glass sides, so you can see how toasted your toaster is while it's toasting. Ugly in your kitchen though.
Starting point is 00:04:19 That's like the keto, although you can kind of see the steam coming off it, but I like seeing when it's bubbly. The clear jugs. Yeah. You know what else I hate? I hate the fucking conveyor belt toasters. They have it.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Oh, buffets. They have a buffets. I have PTSD from those, because we had them in boarding school. What? And they never like, either the people have it too slow or too high, and then you end up having to put it through like multiple times.
Starting point is 00:04:46 It takes 10 years. It's like the luggage on the thing. Actually, yeah. I'm excited for you to go on your toaster journey. Yeah, please put some research in and come on the show and give us top three. But I'm scared to make the wrong decision. No, you're not.
Starting point is 00:05:00 We'll help you. You know what makes me scared? Is Clint saying, this is gonna be your toaster for the next 10 years. Yeah, ideally. And yeah, and so then I'm like, fuck, this is a lot of pressure. Like if I make the wrong decision. You gotta take the pressure off it.
Starting point is 00:05:13 You've wasted $150 on worse things than a toaster. I mean, amen. Amen. If you have to buy a couple of toasters, like if you have to kiss a couple of frogs to find your Prince toaster, then- He's got a point. It's part of the journey. Everyone over serious is it? I did the same thing with the coffee machine.
Starting point is 00:05:30 What website is that? I don't know. Yeah, see? Start with something reputable. But it's a $400 toaster. You need to buy it from a store that is here in New Zealand so that you can take it back to them. True. And they need to stand behind it. Like even if it's just briscoes, that's okay. But you know that you can take the toaster back to them and if it's sparked, they'll go, our bad.
Starting point is 00:05:54 The only thing I want, the two things that I want, don't care what it looks like, I mean, price, yes. Wait, you don't care what it looks like? Not really. I don't really give a shit what it looks like as long as it toasts my toasts evenly and it doesn't take a fucking week to toast it. Tell me about it.
Starting point is 00:06:11 That's all I care about. So you want fast but not burnt. I want fast and evenly toasted. What kind of temperature do you like? Like, you know how you have the dial, are you on a four? You know that's not temperature, that's the amount of minutes that the toast is down. Bruh.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Yeah, I know, buzzy, eh? What? We all learn that in life at some point and I love that you're just learning it. That makes sense. Are you coming off a two slice? We're coming off a four slice. Do you want that?
Starting point is 00:06:40 We have to go to, yeah, we want the four. Cause it's quite a cool KitchenAid toaster, but it's a... Two slicer. yeah, we want the four. Cause it's quite a cool KitchenAid toaster, but it's a- Two slicer. Oh, that's not bad. Yeah, we're definitely in the market for a four slicer. Are you wanting a set as well with your kettle? Cause that's coming down too.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Okay, okay, okay. There's a four slice KitchenAid. Okay. For $2.39. What does it look like? Down from $2.89. Sheesh. It's cool.
Starting point is 00:07:02 And it comes in a bunch. What colour do you want? Don't really mind, like I said. Let's go with a neutral cream then. Cream. Yeah, that's a nice toaster. It's a great toaster. Nice looking toaster.
Starting point is 00:07:12 There you go, done. It's a KitchenAid. You'd have to think that a KitchenAid is gonna last you. Well that's true. And would they have them at no limit? Okay, here's we test, right? Here's we test. So copy the name of that toaster,
Starting point is 00:07:23 put it into Google and type reviews. You should put it into chat GPT. For reviews? Yeah, that's what I did with my coffee machine. My coffee machine was selected by chat GPT. Wow. What is the best toaster on the market in New Zealand? I want it to toast fast, evenly and be priced within $150 to $230.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Oh my gosh! I literally went to Briscoe's and got the cheapest shit. Yeah, but that's the age you're at. Yeah my gosh. I literally went to briskers and got the cheapest shit. Yeah, but that's the age you're at. Yeah, true. Okay, let's have a look. Searching the web. This makes me excited for when I'm 30. Like genuinely.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Yeah. Top recommendations in New Zealand. The Russell Hobbs. Russell Hobbs, good, good, good. Features strongly in New Zealand, the Russell Hobbs. Russell Hobbs, good, good, good appliances, yeah. Features strongly in New Zealand ratings. My parents got a Russell Hobb toaster and jug set for their wedding and I think it lasted our family 20 years. Oh, there you go.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I'm not gonna lie, I think our current one is Russell Hobbs. Oh yeah, but how long have you had it? Maybe, hold on. Before COVID? Fuck, this is a weird podcast. Maybe. But listen. Before COVID. Fuck, this is a weird podcast. Maybe. But listen to the other podcast. We're not convinced it was the toaster's fault
Starting point is 00:08:50 that it died. Nah. No. It's creepy. I know, actually, no, actually, no. I want to take that back. I don't, I don't want to. You don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:58 I'm pretty sure. You don't want to slander the Russell or Hobbs family. Exactly, but I'm pretty sure I know what it is. Should I say? I'm pretty sure it was a Sunbeam. Oh yeah. They're the cheaper ones. Yeah, they're cheap and cheerful.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Are they? Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got a cheap one. Oh, here we go. Yeah, Sunbeam, Toaster, Brisco's, 120 bucks. Oh shit. The KitchenAid four slice Toaster model KTM 4109 has extra wide slots to accommodate thick bread, bagels, homemade loaves, English muffins.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Yeah, it does. We love an extra wide slot on the show. It has a bagel function, a reheat function, a defrost function, and a little bit longer function. I love a little bit longer. Yeah, a little bit longer's good. Pros, stylish and sturdy. I wish I had that when it came to my second one.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Large capacity. Little bit longer. Cons, inconsistent toast at low settings. Can I get a little bit more please, Sue? Oh no. No dedicated defrost setting. To what? During sexy time.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Can I get a little bit more please, Sue? High power draw. Not done yet. Huh? Not done yet. Not done yet, Sue. A little bit more toast. Can I get a little bit more please? I didn't hear what you were talking about, but I hope I didn't. You don't want to know. Okay done yet, sir. A little bit more toaster. I'll get a little bit more, please.
Starting point is 00:10:05 I didn't hear what you were talking about, but I hope I didn't. You don't want to know. Well, good luck. If you've got a good toaster recommendation, podcast group on Facebook. Yes, we would. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Yeah. Yeah. Vacuum cleaner's here. We need that lady. Okay, we gotta go. See you later. Bye. Bye.
Starting point is 00:10:21 Bye. Bye. Thanks, sir. Play ZM's Brian Clint on Insta, Facebook, everybody, everybody She hit the everybody
