It's going to happen on Friday. It's a 100-meter sprint. And I'm happy to explain the rules to you guys tomorrow, but it's going to be a very standard sprint.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Just a basic 100-meter dash. But it's not a time trial. It'll be a sprint. You'll be all together. So you'll instantly see who wins. Yes. Can't be terrible at sprints. Unless it's really close.
Starting point is 00:01:10 But it will be timed. So you will get a time. Oh, no. What's a good time? You know what? What's a good time? I think an adult, a healthy adult, should be able to do 100 metres in 15 seconds.
Starting point is 00:01:21 What about an unhealthy adult? I'd be stoked with 15 seconds. Same. I think 15's decent. 14? Even better. Under 20? Good to go.
Starting point is 00:01:30 See? Nah, under 20 I think is pretty poor, Claudia. Like 20 seconds I think is a long time. The last time I sprinted, I was in high school. I must have been 16 and I remember doing the 100 metres on like the athletics day.
Starting point is 00:01:46 You had to do five events I was like well 100 meters easy and it was so embarrassing because I was like kind of keeping pace with everyone and then by the second half everyone took off everyone kept going and I had to slow down because I was like I'm not made for this I had the same issue when I did that half Ironman thing I did the swim
Starting point is 00:02:01 I burnt everybody off on the first kilometer of the swim and then I cr the swim. I burnt everybody off on the first kilometer of the swim. You're endurance. And then I cramped up and I was just like doggy paddling. I've got the numbers here. What's the numbers? The average adult male, this is average people, not sprinters, not track athletes,
Starting point is 00:02:16 the average healthy adult male should run the 100 meters between 15 and 20 seconds. Oh, my God. And the average adult female should do it between 17 and 23 seconds. Oh, there you go. I was wrong. Under 20 is all good. I was wrong.
Starting point is 00:02:28 I'm in a practice. Under 20, you're fine. Under 20 is good. I might go to the park tomorrow and just give myself a base level time trial. Can I suggest if you're going to do that, please stretch because I need you. I need you to fit and functional for Friday. Well, I can't guarantee fit or functional, but I will be there. Can I ask, are we allowed to decide
Starting point is 00:02:46 our footwear? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. You can wear no cleats. What the heck are they? You said we're allowed to decide. They don't have any. Can my footwear be a hoverboard? No. Like, are we allowed to do that? You can have sprinting shoes, running shoes. A car? Like sand shoes.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Or like... What if we want to go bare feet? You can go bare feet. You can wear the Essex gel Kayanos. I've got my Essex gel Kayanos. You can wear the Hokas, whatever you want to wear. Where are we going to do it? I'm thinking we just do it at Victoria Park. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:15 So come on down. No, don't tell people to come on down. On your lunch break. How embarrassing. They're so embarrassed. How embarrassing. There might be tears on this. I'm scared to even run in front of you guys.
Starting point is 00:03:27 I reckon I'm going to hurt myself. You know what? I actually genuinely can't remember the last time I ran 100 metres. The last time we did anything running on this show is when Ben raced your dog. That's right. Yeah. That's good. Ben.

Starting point is 00:05:11 I'm now having my hips keep slipping out of the socket every time I walk upstairs. I have a busted knee and a bad lower back. Maybe I do. Man, this is going to be an amusing race. It's going to be terrible. And my boobs are going to fly everywhere. You know, you have to wear a sports bra. I don't really have one. Talk about Paralymp going to fly everywhere. You have to wear a sports bra. Talk about Paralympics.
Starting point is 00:05:28 You have to wear a sports bra. It's dangerous not to. You'll knock yourself out. It wasn't for all of us. Tape him down like in that Katy Perry music video when she joins the military. That's right. Or she's the man. Days like this I want to drive away.
