Starting point is 00:00:00 The ZM Podcast Network. On earth, they stay in heaven. Love comes first. You make heaven a place on earth. Ooh, heaven is a place on earth. Boom. Okay, I pull up. How about at the after party?
Starting point is 00:00:19 Who sings the song Heaven is a Place on Earth? No Googling it. Um. I'm going to say Belinda Carwile, and I'll go and get it, and you guys can add your suggestion. I haven't looked yet. Is it the people that do Venus? Bananarama.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Yeah, that's my guess. Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? Ooh, heaven is a place on earth. Why isn't anyone making these songs anymore? It's a different time. This song goes so fucking hard. Do you guys still want to guess? What did you say? Bananarama.
Starting point is 00:01:01 No. I just shotgun Bananarama. I don't know. The Bee Gees shotgun Bananarama. Okay, Bananarama. I don't know. The Bee Gees. The Bee Gees, awful guess. The Bee Gees are male and that's clearly a female singer. Oh, well, actually, in fairness to Ella,
Starting point is 00:01:15 Barry Gibb had a very high falsetto. They're from the 70s, the Bee Gees. I don't know. What's that from? What's this from? The 90s or 80s? That's not from the 90s. That's from the 80s for sure.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Okay, we'll have to find that out. Is it Coldplay? This is Bananarama, by the way. Same song. That's a good guess, Claude. Same song? I agree. Same song.
Starting point is 00:01:38 What's the song you... I said Belinda Carlyle. That's who probably I think it would be, but because I can't pick that, I'll just pick Cindy Lauper. Cindy Lauper. The winner of this competition is... Me.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Me. Me. Me being Clint. What year? Double points go. Yeah, what year? I said 80s. I'll say 91.
Starting point is 00:02:02 89. Is it actually? Nah, 87. 85. actually? Nah, 87. 85. No, it's 87. Oh. Oh, you already looked. I knew it was the 80s.
Starting point is 00:02:13 It's got 80s all over it. This song is as old as me. Maybe that's why I like it so much. Wait, what? When are you born? 1987. I mean, that's fine. You're an 80s boy.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Cool. That's disgusting, that reaction that you just gave me. What was fine. You're an 80s boy. Cool. That's disgusting, that reaction that you just gave me. What was it like being in the 80s? Yeah, that's bullying. Did you have cars back then? What was it like when you first got power? Was the light bulb involved then?
Starting point is 00:02:39 Involved. Invented? Involved! You were on a roll, bro. You were on a roll. You were on a roll You were on a roll Karma gotcha Karma is my boyfriend Facts What?
Starting point is 00:02:52 She's ice face Oh, did you say facts? Yeah Facts Facts Day two of me wearing glasses full time by the way And I am not really noticing any difference. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:03:06 Wow. Yeah. I'm just wearing them because I'm being told to. Did you get scammed? Yeah, I don't know. I don't think so. But I was expecting, like, people were like, when I got glasses, it was like the world was in HD.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Well, I don't think you're that blind, but it's going to help with the phones. Are you long distance and short distance? What can't you see? Far away is the issue that I have. Sure. Can you see leaves now if you look outside? No, it's winter. On your far right,
Starting point is 00:03:33 can you see some leaves? Yeah. Yeah, but I could always see those. Why do you have glasses then? That's what I'm saying. It's just little words. It's like when I started taking ADHD medication. Have you started taking it? Yeah, I've been. Well, soft launch. I've been, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:49 I have taken it. I've been testing it out. Not that much different. We know you're going to hook me up. I think, no, that's illegal. I don't think it's the right medication for me. Are you on Ritalin? No.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Oh. I'm on a medication called Rubafin, and it's a slow-release medication. Have you tried crushing it up and snorting it? Again, don't do that. No, no, no, no, no. What do you get up to in the 80s, eh? It will release faster.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Is there a suppository version? I hope not. I bloody hope not. Have you guys ever taken a suppository version? I hope not. I bloody hope not. Have you guys ever taken a, sorry, back to ADHD in a second. Have you ever taken a suppository? No. No. Have you?
Starting point is 00:04:31 No. No. It's medication that you put up your back. Anyway, okay, so you're on the wrong one. Is it like a trial and error thing? Yeah, I don't know. I think. They told you, but you weren't listening, eh?
Starting point is 00:04:44 To be honest. ADHD. Yeah, probably? To be honest. Yeah, probably. To be honest, the lady that I went to see, the first lady I went to see for my initial consultation was amazing and then the next lady was quite rude and dismissive. Oh, right. So I didn't really, she was kind of just like, here's the medication, you can pick it up when you want
Starting point is 00:05:00 and didn't really tell me all that much. I hate that. And so now I'm just kind of like, I don't think this is right for me. Like it doesn't do all that much. Yeah. So I think I need to go back to my doctor. You could try swapping with Ross. Just trade.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Again, also don't do that. You should not be doing that. Your body, your choice. But yes. I spoke to one of my other friends who has ADHD and she was like, I tried three medications before I found the right one. Oh, my gosh. And the one that I've got is –
Starting point is 00:05:33 Have you tried weed gummies? Isn't that what people are medicating themselves with now? I don't think so. CBD oil? But the one that they gave me, like ADHD medication, it's not an everyday medication. Isn't it? No.
Starting point is 00:05:47 People are. I thought it was every day. Different medications are different, so I can't comment. The one that I have, she was like, you shouldn't be taking it every day. Is it so slow release that it lasts a few days? No. No. To be honest, when I take it in the morning,
Starting point is 00:06:04 I'm quite tired by the afternoon like halfway through our show they say um yeah you should take it on days where you really need to concentrate or like you really need to focus but you shouldn't be taking it like on a weekend yeah interesting yeah well the one that i have anyway They say that you shouldn't take it Like maximum is five days Yeah, right But some people obviously don't do that And they take it every day
Starting point is 00:06:32 Well, so if you're working six days a week Also, if you're on a different type of medication Yeah Then maybe it is an everyday thing, I don't know But it's so interesting Because like a lot of medications Like Trial and error Oh, it's such interesting because like a lot of medications like.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Trial and error. Oh, it's such a trial and error. Like I remember when I first started like on the pill, I tried like five different ones until I found one that agreed with my body. Same with people who are on antidepressants. Oh my God, the antidepressant one. I am desperate. I need this sort of like, cool, let's start you on a course of these. And if you're worse in a month, we'll change it.
Starting point is 00:07:04 It is the, no, it's not a month. course of these. And if you're worse in a month, we'll change it. It is the hard. No, it's not a month. Isn't it? It's like three months. Is it? It's so fucking rough because you're already in a real bad space. That's what I mean. That's the point I was making.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Yeah, it's horrible. I've went through that before. It's so bad. The one that they gave me, which I'm not on anything anymore because I don't need it. But the one that they gave me made me so nauseous and i was just nauseous for like three months it was horrible horrible but the hard part is is that people who i think do need it get real disheartened and then they're like i don't want to go through that again you know to find the right one so it's horrible right okay like a million different ones out there too well i hope to find the right one. So it's horrible. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:45 There's a million different ones out there too. Well, I hope you find the right one for you sooner rather than later. Yeah, I just don't know. The ADHDs. I don't know who to go talk to now because I don't want to go back to that lady that was quite cold. You can ask to talk to someone else. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:59 That is your prerogative. You can say, hey, I didn't have a good experience with this person. Oh, but I don't want to be mean either. Maybe her and I just didn't click. You need to learn to be more mean. You do. I'll work on that. It's the key to life.
Starting point is 00:08:14 I'm paying heaps. I wonder if she's still alive. What? The doctor? Belinda Carlyle. Ella. The doctor. I'd say so. What? The Doctor? Belinda Carlyle No! Ella The Doctor I'd say so
Starting point is 00:08:28 She saw the Doctor two weeks ago This was a hit in the 80s She was probably like in her 20s Yeah, she's still alive She's still alive? Yeah How old is she? She is 64
Starting point is 00:08:39 Oh go Belinda Belinda Carlyles Carlslyle Go, Belinda. Belinda. Any more bangers? Carl Lyle's. Carl's Lyle. Just want to put it out there, the song that I guessed came out the year before this one, so I was right on the money. You were.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Bananarama. When did Cindy Law Park Girls Just Want to Have Fun come out? Let's see. I'm going to say 84. 1993. Nah. No, not 93. It was in the 80s.
Starting point is 00:09:09 It was the start of MTV. I want to say 82. 83. Oh. I said 84. You know, fun fact, that was a cover. Was it? Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Pretty sure that was a cover song. All right, let me Google it now. Oh, yeah. Four years after it was written by Robert Hazard. And recorded, right? Well, he says written. I don't know if it was recorded. Love Robert Hazard.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yeah, you know him. Have a great podcast, everyone. Wait, Robert. He recorded a demo in 79. Wait, Robert. Who wrote it from a male point of view? Girls just want. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:09:42 You know I get that. Is it men just want to have fun? No, it would have been girls just want to have fun, but he's written it from a male point of view. Girls just want... Oh, okay, you know I get that, yeah. Is it men just want to have fun? No, it would have been girls just want to have fun, but he's written it from the male point of view.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Random. He's trying to get all these girls to be serious, and he's written the story like... All these girls just want to have fun.
Starting point is 00:09:55 It's a way different vibe song. Girls just want to have fun. That's all they really want. It's so fun. Well, how are you feeling?
