Starting point is 00:00:00 Pott of your ass off. Drink it, smoke it. Party your ass off. Drink it, smoking. Party your ass off. Hi everybody. Welcome to the after party. Brooks here.
Starting point is 00:00:10 This is very me-centric. But maybe you guys can relate. Has anybody watched, I feel like it's a nose. Has anybody watched the Sopranos? Nope. You're not a Sopranos fan? Yeah. You have watched the Sopranos?
Starting point is 00:00:22 No, I haven't. Is it a musical? That is mean because you actually got me excited there. Sorry. Sopranos. No. You don't know the Sopranos? Are they the boy band?
Starting point is 00:00:33 No, you're teasing me here. Is it the Batman spin-off? Yes, yes, yes. Yes, super Sopranos. That was the second one of it. No, okay, this is factors for people who are listening, who I know who have watched the Sopranos. Not you uncultured swines.
Starting point is 00:00:46 I found out today, and this is confronting for me, and that's why I say it's me-centric, that in the pilot of the Sopranos, the first episode, Tony Soprano, the character and the man. And playing Tony Soprano in that first episode, three years younger than I am right now.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Oh, isn't he, like, old in that? I thought so. Yeah. Can I ask at that age what had Tony amounted to? Do you feel like in comparison, it's, like, similar? It was a great question. He was the head of the New Jersey Mafia. Oh.
Starting point is 00:01:23 He was the head of his particular crime family. You could be the head of a crime family. Yeah. So he's climbed the ladder quite well then. He was in therapy. for panic attacks. This is where we join him in the pilot. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:33 That's good from him. And I only two kids, so we're actually on a par. Oh, so it's quite... Comparison, the Thief of Joy, Clint. You are closer then to Tony Suprior. Totally. And comparing myself to Tony Suprano is never going to be the part of the happening. It's going to be a losing battle.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Yeah, okay. Anyway, fun fact. Cool. That was fun. Sorry, I got your hopes up. That's okay. I think Joan of Arc was maybe similar age as me now when she conquered the world or whatever. Joan of Arc in real life was like. 25 maybe. Conquered the world? Whatever Jonah of Arc did. I was
Starting point is 00:02:03 trying to listen to this. John of Arc? Yeah. Jonah. No, not Jonah. Jonah from Tonga. No. Jonah Hill. No. No. No is Arc. I'm thinking no, no. Oh my God. Joan. Space of Space Arc. I think she was about 25. Yeah, it's quite nice.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Okay. She was. Joan of Arc age at death. Oh no. I'm not there yet. No. Joan of Arc was 19 when she died. So you're way older than John Wai. Oh, no, before she conquered the... She began leading the French army at age 17. Oh, now I feel old.
Starting point is 00:02:36 Bugger. Yeah, what had you done at 17? This is the problem with Lord and Lydia Coe, too. They moved the needle for people. Oh, Kiwi's too young, yeah, yeah, yeah. She was burned at the stake at age 19. Who? Hey, I didn't have that happened to me.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Holy shit. Not Lydia Co. Is there a book on there? Joan of Arc. I'm sure there's multiple. I need a Google. I need a Google. I think it would be good if we all Google people our way.
Starting point is 00:03:00 and we see what they've kind of accomplished. Well, we talked about one today, which is Michael B. Jordan. He's your age? So Michael B. Jordan and I are the same age. Oh, there is a book on Joan and Bach, by the way. Yeah, no shit, Ella. There is Ella. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Okay, calm down. Go on guys. Then a segment which is just called Ella learns about the world. I would love that. I'm reading a book at the moment, so suck it. What book are you reading? Time Travel is what? Are you about to say the time traveler's wife to fix it?
Starting point is 00:03:30 You're reading a book about animals too. I drove my car to work today. I'll just say random things that are true. I hate a hit. I'm dehydrated. I'm wearing loafers. Okay, ladies. Are you?
Starting point is 00:03:44 Is this a loafer? Alexandra the Great had become the king by 20. That's kind of annoying. Yeah, this is a different time. These people are all dead by the age of 32, you know? What? Yeah. Life expectancy in the 1600s.
Starting point is 00:03:59 So they had. to do it in that small time frame or else. But apparently age was different back then. Is that true? That's exactly what I'm saying. No, but I also feel like... Joan of Arc died in 1431 at age 19. Life expectancy.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I'm thinking. Like a year of what we know. 37 is the oldest person back then. There was no one who had their 40th birthday back then. They had no idea. They probably didn't even make 40th balloons that look sharp back in that century because no one made it to 40 anyway.
Starting point is 00:04:26 You're almost definitely right. So in the 1400s, France life expectancy was 30 to 35 years. Bang. That was, unless you were uber wealthy, that's how long they expected you to live. Wait, so you already passed your, the experience today. I'm living on borrowed by French 1400s standards. I'm living on borrowed time.
Starting point is 00:04:46 That's actually crazy. Aren't we all? Aren't we all? So, did they look like us or did they look like old people? You're in the window? You're in the French 1400s danger. Hey, get out of that window. Step back from that led to my friend.
Starting point is 00:04:57 I'm getting my pension now, like ancient French. Yeah, yeah, you're on your ancient French gold card. They would look after you at you grand age. Would I look like me or would I look like my nana? No, but I think also people who are living in the UK, if I meet a 24-year-old from the UK, they're way older than me, 24 in New Zealand. I think just New Zealand is a younger by nature.
Starting point is 00:05:18 Do you think? Yeah, we're not exposed to all these things that they are over in the UK. I'm more on par with a 20-year-old, British person. How many British people are you meeting? Spiratic. I think averaging about... three a week maybe max maxing out where are you meeting all these british people normally by the water actually what water just like out and about by the water down by the
Starting point is 00:05:38 yeah yeah yeah and you are you quizzing them on their age well i find out eventually i like it normally comes up in conversation if you're chatting to someone it's to check and you're on them or not yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah i'm reaching for a how old are you um yeah no normally i yeah nice facts maybe it mm hmm no no don't right yeah you actually you i'm banned Also, is there a book of Joan of Arc? Do anyone know? I'm looking at going at the library after the... There's a couple of...
Starting point is 00:06:05 There's Mark Twain's... No, I don't like Mark Twain's stuff. I don't like his style of writing. Is recollections? Are you wanting a history book or a fiction book? A bit of both. I'm wanting to pitch a book, actually, Jonah Bark. There'll be a movie.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Oh, yeah. I love that. Jane Austen wrote her early version of Pride and Prejudice in her 20s. We could still do this, guys. We could sew on. What's something you think you could do she? I think she wrote it under a pseudonym too because women weren't allowed to publish book. Oh, yeah, true.
Starting point is 00:06:31 And no, we don't like Jake Rowling. If everyone had to come up with a fake name, do you have a fake name when you go into your hotels sometimes so they don't know it's you staying there? I'll use one tonight. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Although the booking is under Clint Roberts,
Starting point is 00:06:43 so I might not get into my room. Have a good time, everybody. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye! and live weekdays from 3 on ZM.
