Starting point is 00:00:00 Show requested, so here it is. As long as you've got da-da-da-d-da. It's Z-M's Brean-Klin podcast. As Seen As Spiro on Z-M with Brea and Clines. I've said everyone off in here. You did! I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:00:14 It just crept up. We didn't even get started. Oh, okay. I hate this part. I hate it. In this job, from time to time, you lose people who are very important to you. You, effectively. We've had to do it a couple of times.
Starting point is 00:00:29 in this job. And it gets harder every time I feel. One of those people is our producer Ella, who is finishing up with us today on the show. Hi, Ella. Hey. Sorry. Oh, we haven't even started, have we?
Starting point is 00:00:44 Ella started with us on this show four years ago. Yeah. She came to ZDM as an intern. She was the world's first secret soundkeeper to live on site because it was in the middle of the COVID lockdown. and so we had her living in a box outside the studio for the secret sound. That's right.
Starting point is 00:01:03 And it sucked for you. It was a hard job and you did it. And you've just gone from strength to strength from there. And unfortunately, you've got too good. And now you've got a better job so you're leaving. Better, I don't, yeah, I'm excited. But it's really hard to leave this. It is time for the next chapter in your life.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Oh, shit, don't go. Let's do the other stuff. I've written my stuff down or else I'm just going to do it. Ella's got some things she would like to say. Yeah. I think you say what you want to say and then Claudia's got something to play. Why is Claudia sitting out there?
Starting point is 00:01:37 Claudia, your weirdo, come sit in here with the rest of us. God. It's like the family's like all in the living room and Claudia's sitting in the dining room. God's sake. Okay, Ella, the floor is yours, okay? Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Well, I've written a little thing. Okay. I'll just read it and try not to cry. So thank you guys for the last four years. for being patient with me as I came in green-eyed, freshly 21 years old. Thank you for not kicking me out when I air-checked you guys on air-on-air on the podcast. It was the first week. Oh, now this first day, she gave us feedback.
Starting point is 00:02:11 That was really bad to me. It was pretty brutal feedback, too. Oh, we don't need to talk about it. But, no, I really feel like your first job after uni is, like, such a formative time. And so five years at ZDM and four years with you guys, it's just been an absolute dream come true. I've learned so much. You've allowed me to, I guess, learn and make mistakes.
Starting point is 00:02:30 And I've learned to share my own opinions and to have my own voice and to, like, critically think. You know, we joke and I'm a little bit dumb. I didn't know a magpie was a bird. But anyway, you do now. I do now. And then I just wanted to say as well, Bree, I just love you. I love your humor.
Starting point is 00:02:46 I love your creativity, your ability to not only make people feel, like, to laugh, but to feel so comfortable in themselves. and you just have that special connection with people. And I instantly bonded with you straight away. And that was the biggest quality I saw in you. People see you on TV and on the radio. And then you're just like a genuinely cool person in real life. And a friend, and I'm so honored to call you that.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Me too. Clint, I'm not going to lie. When I first started working here, I was a bit scared of you. But it turns out I think I was intimidated from that mana. you just ooze, you know? You hold yourself so well. You are like, you are so strong in everything you do. From being a parent to a friend to your job,
Starting point is 00:03:34 you know, not everyone can do what you do. You do the buttons, but you're also telling a story. You're also reading text. You're trying to make it funny all at once. And in an appropriate amount of time, right? Before it's like songs. Thank you. Yeah, you nail it.
Starting point is 00:03:48 And I just love seeing you be a dad. I don't know, something about it. I love hearing about it. and it just, it is a real joy to come to work and hear that. That's enough. I know you hate those. Yeah, they'll do. Thanks, Ella.
Starting point is 00:03:58 And then quickly, Claudia, this is a really hard goodbye. We've sat next to each other literally for the last four years. Every day. Every day. We've been highs, there's been lows, there's been everything in between, but you've become one of my closest friends. I've learnt so much from you. I'll miss our daily laughs and our chats and my burping and farting in the room
Starting point is 00:04:17 and you yelling at me. But it's genuinely, I feel. like really sad but it's not a goodbye. It's literally I'll see you soon, you know? Yeah. It's going to be different but we're like literally besties. It's going to be okay. But yeah, thanks guys. I love everyone here.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Claudia has put something together for your last day. And should we, what are we calling this? Ella's greatest hits. Yeah, basically yeah. The life and times of Ella. Hi Ella. Hey Ella. Hey Ella. Hey Ella. Hey Ella. Hey Ella. Hey Ella. Hey Ella.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Poof, flea. Goodness, he's up my ass. I'm going to get you, your mother. Oh, oh. Hello. Oh, no, this is going to stunt me. I love the song. Viva Lidida, Viva Lidina, Coldplay.
Starting point is 00:05:05 No, no, no, yeah. No way, not Viva Lidita. Viva La Vida. No. You get it here? This is it. Yeah, yeah. Viva La Viva.
Starting point is 00:05:16 She is Mr. Fantasy's long-lost daughter. Hello. Oh my gosh, Daddy, Fantasy. Me, your long-lost daughter. Me and you. Oh my goodness, he's up my ass. Oh my gosh, Soundkeeper Al. Interns, Soundkeeper Al.
Starting point is 00:05:36 What's that you short for? Internship? No, your name. Ella, did you know that one? I knew people live in Egypt. No, Ryan's uncle lives in Dubai. That's not Egypt. That's nowhere near Egypt.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Shut up. Ella, are you there? Yeah, I'm there. Hi. You're in the chocolate aisle? Yep, looks to be quite a shock surprise. It's said it's going up, and all I can see is a sale on a wooder, because chocolate.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Me and myself and I are gobsmash. Chubaka in the producers' booth today. I can actually do a good one. Do you want to hear it? Yeah, go on. Do you know what character we're talking about? Are you telling me that our mid-20s producer Ella may currently have a bigger brain than me?
Starting point is 00:06:22 I would say that's probably wrong, yes. It's obvious, isn't it? My witch, my Kras. Thank you. You never ask my name. That's my first swear word. either. Am I going to get fired? Doral beeper.
Starting point is 00:06:40 You and me, Clint, producer claw, producer Ella, we're a tight-knit fam. We'll miss you. And seen. That was good. Thank you. And seen. That's so, it sums up.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Like, it sums up how close our team is. I've written a little something to send you off, Ella. And if you will just let me read this out for you. When Ella first started, she was a kid. and somehow over the years we've had the absolute privilege of watching their kid grow into this incredibly strong, kind, talented woman. And we couldn't be prouder of you and the person that you've grown into. You have this real special energy about you.
Starting point is 00:07:25 You have the ability to walk into a room and somehow make it feel lighter. You lift people up. You make people feel seen, heard, valued and loved. And I don't think you will even realize that you do that for people. But you've done that, especially for me, on more than one occasion. So I'm jealous of the next people that get to have you in their lives. And I just want to raise a toast. Here's to Ella, to everything that you've achieved here, everything you are,
Starting point is 00:07:54 and everything that's still ahead of you. We love you. That's really special. Thank you, pretty. We love you and we're going to miss you, Ella. Oh, my God! No more tears. No more tears.
Starting point is 00:08:08 We go in the pub. Yeah, more margaritas. I'm watching. Play ZM's Brian Clint on Insa, Facebook, TikTok and live weekdays from three
