I know she means so much to you and you lean on her a lot. But has she confided in you during the process? Have you heard any of the album? Can you share anything? I can't say anything except for we're all very lucky

that she's back. And I've heard the whole album. Back to front. We're very, very lucky that she's back, saving the world, per usual. That was a very diplomatic answer. No, I like that answer. You gave us stuff. It's just the truth.

of where to go. Yeah she's been, we've been, yes I've sent her a million pictures. You've been here in New Zealand for a little while haven't you? Yes, yeah for the past week. What's the most Kiwi experience that you've had while you've been here? I wouldn't know how to classify a quintessential Kiwi experience. Have you had a pie? No.

A kiwi pie? No. That's something you've got to do. It's the dish of the nation. What kind of pie? I would probably, are you vegetarian? No, no, no. I would say steak and cheese.

Okay, great. That will be my post-show meal. You have to do that before you leave. Best pies in the world. What's your favourite thing that you've done while you've been here? We were on Waiheke Island. And it's honestly like, this is the most magical place I've ever been in my life I think. I feel so lucky to experience it for even five seconds.

But like the fact that we got a whole bunch of days there. It's more magical after you come back from Waiheke Island if you've been at the wineries too. We did that one of the days. We went to one for lunch like a big crew hang which was like such a privilege but we I there was so much made so much music when we were out there. No way! And that felt really amazing. Okay, so you're permanently connected to this place then? I would like to hope so, yes. Yeah, that's cool. I mean, I just... And that doesn't always happen on tour, especially, you know, because there's so much going on and sometimes that part of my brain doesn't work as quickly as I wish it would when we're

moving around. But within like 20 seconds of walking through the door at the spot, we were lucky enough to stay at it. It was like lots pouring out. So my dream is to come back and do like a few weeks of stuff. Hey, we'd love to have you. Thank you for saying that.

I can't wait to listen to the song Why Hickey on the next album. Yeah, exactly, exactly. Drunk at the winery. Drunk at the winery. A version of that for sure, yeah. Do you get homesick? Yeah.

Yeah? What's the thing that you bring with you when you're touring to like a little bit of home? I feel like I smells are very like that's a big sensory experience so there's like an incense that I have that I have in a plastic bag in my purse and stuff like that kind of thing. That's easier to travel with it's not like you're bringing your cats with you or something. No no no exactly. It's way easier to get to a customer. I wish I could bring my dog. But yeah, no, it's little stuff like that. You said that you've written some songs here

which is good for what I'm about to ask you. Okay, yeah. New Zealand has been getting skipped by a lot of big shows touring the world recently. I've heard this. We've been upset. It sucks and I understand the realities of touring and how that goes but you're connected to this place now. Yes. Can we get... On record. On record. I will always come back.
