ZDM's Bree and Clint Pot podcast.
It's our radio show, but wrapped up in a neat little package just for you.
It's ZM's Breed and Clint Podcast.
Pre-warning, this next story, a little bit grim.
But it has worked out for the best, kind of.
There's a woman who is suing a New York hospital.
There's a hospital she actually works at, which is another added element.
Her name's Yana, and about seven years ago, she had a couple of surgeries.
Um, one was plastic surgery, plastic, plastic surgery related.
Okay.
And the other one was medical.
Okay.
Um, but anyway, she had suffered all these problems after one of the surgeries.
They don't know which one.
Mm-hmm.
And it took seven years to figure out what was actually going on with her.
She finally, um, had an MRI where they located a rather large needle that had been left
inside of her. They left
a needle in her? They left a
surgical needle. How big's the needle?
It's probably like
three inches. Jeez. It's pretty big.
Okay. Anyway, she's now
this is all alleged
because it hasn't gone through the courts yet.
But she is now taking them to court.
I remember when my nan had to have like a wire coil
put inside her stomach. And the joke
was, oh, won't be able to go on an airplane now.
You'll set the mental
to tick her off every time. This poor woman
every time she's going through, she's like, I've taken my
shoes off, I've taken my earrings off,
and I'm still beeping. I'm like, sorry, ma'am.
I'm sorry. It says there's a metal
object inside you. You're obviously lying
to us. She's like,
I'm not. You are obviously carrying a
bomb. I'm naked.
Yeah. There is no bomb.
Anyway, she had surgery. They removed the needle
and all her problems went away.
I thank goodness. You'd be so angry
though, wouldn't you? For seven years.
No, no, you'd be furious. You'd batter
all these different health issues.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because also you'd be like, hey, I'm really sore,
and they'd be like, oh.
Oh, are you?
Yeah.
You'll be right.
No, I'm really sore.
You guys left a needle in me.
I thought we could ask,
what was in you.
And it doesn't have to be from a surgery.
It can be from when you're a kid.
Maybe you stuck something up your nose
and forgot about it.
And later on, it came out for some reason.
I talked to a parent the other week
whose child had two bits
of corn up their nose for three months.
I bet it went rotten.
Yes.
And they're like, my kid stinks.
It took them so long to figure it out
that kid was having all of these issues.
I bet.
Crazy issues.
Meanwhile, he's got rotten corn up his nose.
They're like, I don't remember him eating corn.
Not funny, though, is it?
It's serious.
It's serious.
And that's why we want to know
the very not funny topic
of what was in you.
Maybe you fell on a stick.
Maybe it was a rock
You know you hear those stories
Maybe you were making a Marmite sandwich in the shower
And you slept
And you slept and fell on it
Maybe it was a thorn from a rose bush
That you just couldn't get out
No I don't want to hear that one
That's boring
Why?
A thorn from a rose bush
What if it was in them?
What if they could see it just under their skin
It was in them for like a decade?
Mildly more interesting
Okay
Only because of the decade
But
Okay there's your limits
There's your parameters
There is Brinclent.
Less than 30 minutes until you're activated for deal or reveal plays.
Three cases left.
The evil banker Claudia is trying to derail my hints on the text machine.
She would, wouldn't she?
She would, but don't worry.
Even if she replies, I will reply to you and tell you, which, I mean, give you a hint.
Helpful hint, pre.
A helpful.
A plausible deniability.
In which case you should get.
I've got a radio seg.
Yeah.
That was Britney Spears piece of me.
Now we want to know what piece of what was in you.
Close.
Apple's worth it.
Worth going all the way back.
What was in?
Peace in me.
Peace in me.
Should have given up the first time.
Some wild messages coming through on this.
There is some wild messages.
A woman over in New York is suing a hospital after a surgical needle was left in her seven years ago.
I love this text.
We had to get this person on.
here. Hi, Jordan. Hi, Jordan. Hey, how's it going? Good, thank you.
Good, Jordan. What was in your dad?
He had been to an acupuncture appointment and
drove home and kept wondering why he was like super sweaty and just
spasming and he really struggled to drive home.
And, yeah, got back and lifted his shirt up and there was still a needle
stuck in the back. Oh my God.
He was spasming while driving because he still had an acupuncture needle at him.
Do you just whip that out?
Do you just pull it out yourself?
You just pull it out.
Do you?
Yeah, no, you do.
Yeah.
Do either of you actually know that?
I've had acupuncture quite a few times.
You can just pull it out.
You haven't performed acupuncture.
No, but I know that you could just pull it out.
It's fine.
Better than keeping it in.
No, I know, but.
Jordan's dad still has it in.
He's like, I'm too scared to pull it out.
Thanks, Jordan.
Stacey's here.
Hi, Stacy.
Hi, Stacy.
Hi there.
Stacy, what was in you?
Oh, I had a pencil at my foot.
A pencil?
Yeah.
Like a whole pencil or a piece of a pencil?
A piece of a pencil in the end, but it was sticking out the side of my foot initially.
Oh, do we go right through?
No, I had, it was in primary school.
I had the Roman sandals.
Yeah.
It was peeking between the gaps and the Roman sandals, and it just, someone had just sharpened it.
Oh.
It always amazes me schools that the school uniform is Roman sandals.
sandals? Why? Because
this can happen. No, Roman sandals
are very good sandal. This is a freak accident.
You're more likely if you stand
on a pencil in a crock for it
to puncture through your foot than in a Roman sandal.
You know? No, but why is it as part of the school uniform?
Because they're good shoes. They're made of leather. I don't know.
I feel like you... They just give you the
ick, that's the issue. Like, I just think it's a weird school shoe.
Yeah. Well, are you wearing... Are you still wearing them now,
Stacey, Roman sandals? Oh, no, those were long gone.
She learned her lesson.
She's like, I'm not wearing those hideous things anymore.
Caroline's here.
Hi, Caroline.
Hi, Caroline.
Hello.
What's in your Caroline?
It was in me.
It's a knitting needle.
In my bum cheek.
A knitting needle in the bum cheek.
How did that happen?
She missed.
Yeah.
Slightly left of centre.
I was missing in my car.
and we got it out
I'm sure you were Caroline
I know I don't know if I can recover from this
I got out to get my kids some ice lullies
got back in the car
and as I was getting in
accidentally sat on my nesting
and it went right
probably about three inches into my budget
Oh three inches
Is this the story you told the hospital Caroline
I refused to go to hospital
Because I did not want to be a stat
Fair enough
I was yelling at my husband
pull it out.
Pull it out.
It does get worse.
Yeah.
If you've just joined us, Caroline's talking about a knitting needle.
Three inches.
Pull it out.
Yeah.
It's, yeah.
That must have hurt like hell, Caroline.
Sorry, sorry, you said it gets worse.
How does it get worse?
It gets worse.
Because I made him pull it out and he says there's a really big,
that's a pretty big hole.
A really big what?
A hole.
Really big hole.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
That's a bit rude.
Known in the industry as a big butthole.
Yeah.
No, just a puncturing.
Yeah, but it's a hole in your butt, isn't it?
Yeah, so technically it's a butt hole.
It's a big but yes, but it wasn't in there.
It was in the cheek.
No, we know, but it's in the butt region.
Yeah, yeah.
So what did you do?
All right, it's not a butthole, sorry.
No, I need to be clear on that.
It wasn't up Caroline's butt hole.
No, I know it wasn't up her butt hole.
When my kids were like, we're going to text in,
And I was like, make sure you say cheek and not sounds like it.
Smart kids.
And we went into petrol station.
He got a plaster.
Because I couldn't see, we went into disabled toilets.
I put my skirt around the waist, kind of pulled them up.
Yeah.
And he could, you know, put a plaster.
And he forgot to lock the disabled door and someone walked in.
Someone walked in on you?
Yeah.
Yeah.
What your husband was pitching up your butt hole?
Yeah, yeah, he was, I was, I was bent over the sink and he was trying to put a plaster on.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was a highlight.
Caroline, we don't do caller of the week on this show, but we're going to start.
Yep, Caroline, well-in-law.
It's not going to get any better than that.
Caroline, that was such a good story.
Yeah, thank you.
I'm glad my humiliation.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it wasn't all in vain, you know?
It wasn't in vain, it was worth it.
I told my husband to pull it out and he did.
My kids made me do that.
Hello, you're going to have to take that.
Oh, you have to.
We appreciate it.
You've made our day.
Thank you Caroline.
We appreciate it.
Oh, my God. That story just kept getting better and better.
There are so many more texts on this.
I think we come back with the best text of what was in your next.
ZD.M.
Branklinz.
Before the break, we were asking you the question, what was in you
before we got the incredible call about the knitting needle in the bum.
Very good.
Bum cheek.
bum cheek.
Bum cheek.
Bum cheek.
Not bum or bum.
No.
That, not, no.
Not that.
Not that.
Not the bullseye.
No.
So we didn't even get, we got so carried away.
We didn't even get.
180.
180.
180.
Anyway, the question is what was in you?
And someone said, my four-year-old put a round bead in each ear.
They couldn't get them out at urgent care.
So we had to go to ED so they could be suctioned out.
Oh, that.
would be such a nightmare as a parent.
It would be terrifying, but as a person,
it would be so satisfying to have them pop out of your ears, wouldn't they?
Yeah.
I'll never forget the day that my grommets came out of my ears.
It was so disgusting.
I was like, what is that?
I was like, oh, my God, what is that?
And then I pulled it out and I was like...
Oh, you pulled it out.
Yeah, I pulled it out of my ear.
You're not meant to do that, are you?
No, well, I think I'd outgrown it.
Oh, and it, like, had come out.
Yeah, right.
Like, I didn't, like, go down into my ear canal and rip it out.
Satisfying?
So satisfying?
Yeah, yeah.
Slip down a bank while drilling a retaining wall
and then ended up with the drill drilling in my left arm.
Oh, oh!
That's awful.
Someone else said I put a circular saw blade on the end of my weed whacker,
as you do, and then hit a piece of metal
and one of the little tungsten teeth came off
and hit me in the neck.
So I went to the hospital and they stitched it back up
and I went back a month later
because there was still a lump there and they cut it back open
and guess what, there was still one of the little Tunston tips of the circular sawblades still in my neck.
I've seen Mad Dogs on Instagram weed whacking with a circular saw blade on the end of the weed whacker.
It looks like the most dangerous thing I have ever seen.
It seems so dangerous.
Because if it comes loose and that thing drops, that's final destination.
That's like a super big, like ninja star is what it is.
I had a tampon in me for a couple of weeks.
A couple of weeks.
The string disappeared and I forgot that it was in there.
Look, I'll be honest.
Ladies, it's happened to all of us.
They don't kill you, won't it?
A couple of weeks, though.
I mean, I feel like I've gone 24 hours and then been like, oh.
I feel like the most dangerous thing we were told about as teenagers in sex ed was tampon toxic shock.
No.
No, but I feel like that's what, Grace knows.
That's what was drilled into us, right?
They're like, do not leave it in there.
You will get toxic shock.
24 hours is crazy, Bree.
No, I didn't do it on purpose.
But still, you can get toxic shock.
It was drilled into me.
Guess what? I'm still here.
No, Bree.
No, Bree.
I'm not encouraging people to do it.
You're the exemption, not the rule.
I am trying to make people, I mean,
it's not a challenge.
I am trying to make women feel okay about the fact that it's happened to the best of us.
And Grace and I are trying to keep women terrified so that they take it out.
They stay alive, Bree.
Oh, God, guys, we've got bigger problems.
It's fine.
You know what happens here and there.
What are I doing in this conversation?
Oh, God, another tampon text.
What else was stuck in people?
I made a mind from uni.
His mum was an H-E-R nurse.
She had so many stories of people
stuck in various orifices,
but the most memorable one was a guy
who came in with a completely intact pint glass
up his...
No, shit.
Don't hate that!
They didn't even know how it got there.
Well, we know how it got there.
got there. He slipped and fell. We know how it got there.
He slept. He had one too many guineas with
the fellas. He slept at the pub and
fell
and... Bro, we said split the G
not sit the G.
Finding the G spot.
