You tapped it, so we're playing it. It's ZM's Brian Clint, the podcast. How annoying is being put on hold. When you just want to talk to a real person and you get put on hold and you get the awful hold music or even worse, the generic hold music. Yeah, I feel like the generic's worse. Yeah, the one that just kind of does the same loop over and over again and then you feel like you get caught in some different dimension.

The one I don't mind is that one that kind of goes, do, do, kka, kaka, kak. Oh, you like that? I don't think I like that one. Oh, okay. I feel like, you know when the Simpsons go into that weird 3D mode? Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like that's where I go to.

ASB has made the news today because they've reinvented hold music. You now get an option. You can choose between Kiwi classics, easy listening, or my preference, silence. Silence? No hold music. So wait, so when you get put on hold, do they like say these are your options? Yeah, and then the computer says, say which one you would like to hear. Yeah, right.

When you were telling us about this earlier, I thought we could put this to the test this afternoon and we could call Mama Die, right? Well, we get Claudia to call Mama Die because normally the producers, they call people first and they usually say, hey, we'd love to get you on for this, but we're just going to put you on hold for a moment, right, Claude? Absolutely.

And so Claude will call Mama Die, and then we'll put her on hold. and then I've got Sam who does the voicing here at ZM, so he's got one of those voices, to voice this script which will give Mama Die... A fake on-hold service. Yes, a fake on-hold service, which will give Mama-Dy different options of what on-hold music she would like,

and then we would really see what Mama-Dy's into. Are you willing to deceive Mama-Dy, Claudia? It wouldn't be the first time. Then let's do it. Hey, Di, it's Claudia. How are you? Oh, yeah, Claudia, survive and major. Oh, Jess, that's all we can ask, really. Hey, I'm Branclin are live.

We've just got a really quick question. Is it okay if I just pop you on hold for a minute? Absolutely, mate. We'll be like a minute or two, but hang tight. Okay. Hi, you've been put on hold at ZM. Is that the best voice ever? I feel like we had an inkling of what you'd choose. I hope you put a bed on it because I reckon. You would have won't. Did you enjoy that experience of being able to pick what whole music you would like? Oh my God. I thought to yourself, this is a revelation. Yeah.
