and it's out July 14th and, you know, everything's moving. I feel really lucky, honestly, really blessed. You actually got to work with Fatboy Slim in making the song, right? You didn't just rework it without him. He was involved. Yeah, no, I definitely had the idea of the song and then I had to kind of convince him to. Yeah, yeah, there was that part, which we've pulled off, thank goodness.

It makes me feel old, though, because I had that Fatboy Slim album on CD, that You've Come a Long Way baby album, and I was like, how old is this? And I Googled it today getting ready for this interview. Yeah, no, we're in that age group now, Clint. I know, 1998 that Fatboy Slim album came out. Yeah, I was eight as well when that came out. Yeah, same. Yeah, same.

No, readers definitely the same age as us, definitely not way younger. I feel like, you know, for people that were like not around when it came out, it's really important to hear that type of time of music, especially when like club wasn't just always four by four, but there was like samples and soul kind of melodies in there and it just kind of you know i think that that era of music's really important absolutely um our boy taika directed the music video for the song as well i know i'm a now being a half new zealander i feel like it's just like to get taika to do as many videos as possible it's pretty handy

to have an avengers level director available for your music videos right yeah do you know what it's just nice to collaborate with someone that you trust and to be honest like this song was really inspired by the original video so it wasn't a lot of thought behind it we were just like how do we incorporate like the og video and bring it into 2023? And we had a day to shoot it. So we kind of just guerrilla styled and just went for it. And I'm happy it worked out. It's like a little mini movie. So it's really cool.

Did he boss you around? No, no, no, no. We had this idea like super last minute and I'm happy we pulled it off. But it really does fit with the narrative of the whole record and the album, which is really inspired by my life for the past two years, the journey sort of going into that. So it makes sense to have him direct it as he was a big inspiration for the album.

Yeah, it just all sort of is falling into place. It's pretty amazing. I want to ask Rita, when are we going to see you and Taika down here in New Zealand again? Because we love having you here. It's always such a buzz having you guys in the country. You know, as soon as I can. I feel like it's just like my holiday now going over there.

It's just such a nice place to come and chill out. So hopefully really, really soon. Maybe we'll do a Christmas or a New Year's there for sure.
