Starting point is 00:00:00 You tapped it, so we're playing it. It's ZM's Brian Clint, the podcast. Brooks here filling in for Bree's last week of baby leave. I want to talk about Enemies List from Roll Model who's just dropped his new album, Chuck Timely in the Hourglass. He said, I will update, very public about his enemies list, but before the album, he said, I will update publicly my enemy list after the album is released.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Oh, okay. Album was released. Yeah. He's gone out and about, and he's, like, re-released his, Who's the new enemies he's added to his very public enemies list? Why has he got so many enemies? Man, makes a lot of moves. Right, okay.
Starting point is 00:00:37 But these are enemies like Charlie X, X is on this list. Purely because she's married to George Daniel from the 1975 who role model likes. Like that kind of enemy list. Oh, okay. It's not like Emma Chalindlin's new boyfriend because Tucker used to date Emma and now he doesn't like, you know, it's not a serious. Right, okay. But is it? Maybe it is a serious thing and we're just not taking Tucker seriously enough because one of the people in the updated list,
Starting point is 00:01:00 for role model, aka Tucker, was Jimmy Fowland. Right. Really why I came here is to talk about the enemy's list. You were the last name to get added to the list. I'm on the enemy's list? I love you. I've supported you since... Hey, I know, because I want to give you a second chance, and I've never really done that.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Earlier this year, you had Natalie Portman on. She told you my full legal name, Tucker Pillsbury. Yeah, and how did I... You laughed. So what I want to do is I'm going to tell you my full legal name, And if you laugh, I walk. But if not. I'll take your name off the list.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Okay. Look at me. It feels more intimate. My name is Tucker Harrington Pillsbury. I'll take your name. No, I would laugh. Would you? It's too serious.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I would laugh. Yeah. Also, it's a funny name. It is a funny name. Tucker Pillsbury. But that's all it takes to get on his... It kind of sounds like a golden retriever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:55 You know? He kind of does. If I tell you my full name right now, will you laugh? Oh. I'll try not to. I feel like there's a lot of pressure on me now. And it has meaning as well. You know why I would laugh is if the name doesn't suit you.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Oh, okay. Yeah. It's sentimental as well, so keep that in mind. Oh, no, is it a dead grandma name. Okay, go for it, yeah. Clint, if you laugh at my full name, you're on my enemy list. My full name is Brooke, Taryn, Coppins. No, you're okay.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Yeah, I was just trying to say anything funny with your initials. No, that's a game. BTK. Yeah, yeah, I know. It would have been a horrible one to have in the 70s. My full name is... That sucks, yeah. My full name is Clinton Paul Roberts.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Nah. My initials are CPR. Oh. Not funny either. Right, the concept of having an enemy's list is kind of funny. I could have an enemy's list. What do you mean the concept? You don't actually have an active one in your notes?
Starting point is 00:02:57 No, but I've put one together for you. Oh, love. Who's the top of the... Is it a priority? Like, enemy number one? It's random. Oh, okay. They have equal weighting.
Starting point is 00:03:05 The first enemy on my enemy's list is people who put a full flexi bin outside their house. You know those flexi bins? Those skips that you can buy and you unfold them. They put them outside their house and they fill it and then they leave it there for like six months to a year and the flexi bin starts fading and other people start putting rubbish in it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:23 They're on my enemy list. A lot to be said about people who leave things out. Like people who leave things on the drying rack and say that they're going to put them way. Microfiber towels are on my enemy list. Oh, you've got an object in there. Yeah. The way they make your hands,
Starting point is 00:03:36 the way they feel on your hands, microfiber towels are on my enemy list. But you don't feel like they do just as good as they do bad? No, no. What good do they do that a cotton towel couldn't do? People who put bad photos on their, Trade Me or Facebook marketplace listings. Oh.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Or on my enemies list. Why did you bother making the listing if I can't see the product correctly? Yeah. Or no photos? No photos? I'm going to buy your shitty product with no. photos of it? No. And the last person I put on my enemy's list, which I just realized I quite
Starting point is 00:04:03 enjoy having an enemy's list. Yeah, you're kind of enjoying us. It's those lint rollers that you get, but the sheets, the disposable sheets are paper, not plastic, and every time you try and peel a sheet off the lint roller, it tears, it tears, but it doesn't tear directly, it tears in bits, and so like tears up
Starting point is 00:04:21 the lint roller, and you end up the lint roller, and you end up ruining multiple sheets off the lint roller. Not a lint roller. Yeah. Who would have thought an innocent lint roller could get to Clint or Roberts. Me neither, but it's on my enemies list. Oh, okay. Do you feel better?
Starting point is 00:04:35 Maybe this is the point of an enemy's list. Yeah. Like a little bit lighter to know. Once you can name it, you can shame it. Who's on the top of your enemies list? I've just got people in shopping when we're shopping and they can see I'm clearly going one direction on a rack and they come and cut me off and come into the other direction.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Or they try and look on the rack that you're looking at? I know. This rack is occupied. Yeah. Go rack off over. there, Carolyn. Rack off. Also, this stuff isn't you, Carolyn. Like, you're so over there anyway.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Especially if it's like a save mark. And you know, and you know it's, there's only one of them. You're like, uh-uh, I'm in this section now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If I don't take it, then you can have a look. It's annoying when someone who's got the similar sense of fashion to me comes up to my place because you know that I've passed all the duds. You know I haven't collected anything from back here.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Also, another thing about racks is when people overload the racks too much and you can't. Yeah, you can't, yeah. There's no writ room. Someone said Clint's enemies list sounds very personal and it was far too easy for him. Like I said, I think I might be an enemy's list person. But maybe you are too. So we're going to open it up and we'll put together our own full list of enemies next. It's ZAM's Brey and Clint podcast.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Brooks here filling in for Bree. You've brought us the concept of an enemies list this afternoon. In a healing way. In like a let's get it off your chest so you can breathe. Because you just gave us your enemies list and you look like you're glowing. That's four off the top of the dome. too. I reckon I could go on. I reckon I could get to 10. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Claudia, are you running an enemy's list? You're a bit better and twisted like I am. How dare you? You know? I just have a lot of strong negative emotions. Oh, it's different, isn't it? Yeah, it's very different. Go on. Give me an enemy. People that turn up to buy marketplace purchases that are $20 and they're paying coins. You love coins, though. I do love coins, but that's a lot of coins. Yeah, keep your shit coins. I don't want them.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Just give me one note. Cash has come through. Ella. I've got one. I've had it for years. People who are named Sean, but they're. They spout S-E-A-N. No, that's the correct way to tell us, Sean. No, that's the Sean I'm not down with.
Starting point is 00:06:37 That's what we do to the sheep. No. What about S-H-A-U-N? No. S-H-A-U-N. That's all right. That's right. The thing is, it's Alice.
Starting point is 00:06:46 It's Alice's enemy list. Thank you, Brooke. So she can feel that way. No one criticised me for my stupid flexi-bin enemy. Jess is here. Hi, Jess. Hi. Who's on your enemy list?
Starting point is 00:06:57 Jess. people who come to me for advice and then don't take it and they're playing that they still need advice Oh, these people drive me mental Jess Oh, these people drive me, I know exactly what you mean You're like, why'd you ask? Friends and family in particular Yeah, particularly when the solution to their problem is so obvious
Starting point is 00:07:15 And you're like, okay, I'm going to give you this solution That you should have been able to figure out yourself Yeah, but I'm going to give it to you politely And not in a not, condescending way And then they still don't take it, Jess. No. It's terrible. Terrible.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Okay, they're on the list. They're our enemy. Some great texts coming through of people who are on your enemies list. This is for the parents out there. Violet said people who send their kids to school or daycare sick. Yeah. Just because you don't want to look after them doesn't mean everybody else has to get sick. People who use tiny text on their Instagram stories?
Starting point is 00:07:48 I agree. Stop trying to be chic. Stop trying to be little. Oh. Someone here uses tiny. Why do you do that? Not itty bitty. I just think it looks cleaner.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Just teeny tiny. I just think it looks cleaner. Okay, well I'd like to be able to read it without squinting. So could you just blow that up a little bit? People who park across the footpath, oh, these people infuriate me. They didn't used to. They started infuriating me when I started pushing a push cheer
Starting point is 00:08:14 when my children were young. And I was like, how inconsiderate? Which got me thinking about the disabled community who might come up to that in a wheelchair or a bloody crutches or something. And I was like, you have to be pretty heartless to do that. And then when I started to live,
Starting point is 00:08:27 lime scootering. I was like, can you get up a footpath, please? But we live down one of those streets where it's like, if you've got cars parked on either side, you can only go one at a time. Yeah. So it is nice when they do park a little bit up so that... But don't... I get, I get into that.
Starting point is 00:08:48 People who pay cash but haven't added it up by the time they get to the front of the line. So they have to get all their coins out and hold everybody up. Who even has cash anymore? Yeah, I have cash. I'm not sure I'm okay with people paying in shrapnel. Yeah, yeah. That feels like it goes in the cup, in the cupboard in the kitchen for emergencies when you need a gold coin donation.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Yeah, and being someone on the receiving end of receiving coins, that makes me stressed, you're stressed, just don't. I don't want to have to calculate it. It seems so dirty coins too. Yeah. Who's on the enemy list? Someone said people who drive in the fog with no lights. That's topical with all the fog that was around.
Starting point is 00:09:27 this morning in Auckland. Do you know what you're supposed to do, Brooke, if it's foggy for lights? Put them on. Yeah, but not high beam. Oh, no, why would I do that? People do. They're like, it's foggy, I've got to go high beam. Similar vein is people who, oh, I'm just going to actually, a man explained it to you, when people are high beaming you, you're driving late at night, and they're high beaming you, and they don't know it. But some cars, it's funny with the automatic cars that have it naturally, and then some cars don't, I don't know if you, I know, I know you know, I'm driving someone else's car at the moment, and I don't know. You don't know how the lights Yeah, are they naturally on?
Starting point is 00:09:58 Who goes on the enemy list? Toranga drivers. Oh, really? People who reverse into car parks. It has a bit of flex reversing into a car park as well. Similar thing, people who don't have their bus cards ready to go. You know, and you've got to pay on. People who don't have anything ready to go when they get to the front of the line.
Starting point is 00:10:15 People who get to the front of the line and they don't know what they're going to order. Yeah. And you're like, what have you been doing in the line? Yeah. The whole time. Do you know, enemy list, number one, people. People who people. People.
Starting point is 00:10:25 People. We're putting people on the enemy list. Yeah, number one. Second, dogs. All right. Thanks, guys. Is that cathartic? Does everybody feel a little bit better?
Starting point is 00:10:36 I've actually got a hot sweat down my back. I don't know what that is. You're a bit too rolled up, yeah. Play ZDM's Brian Clint on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and live weekdays from three on ZM.
