Show requested, so here it is.
As long as you've got da-da-da-da.
It's ZDM's Bray and Clint podcast.
Our producer Claudia is here.
Hello, Claudia.
Hi, what's up?
I've been quite looking forward to this.
You said that you have found the facial feature
that if people possess this facial feature,
they are more attractive.
Yeah.
A nose.
A nose, full stop?
Yeah.
Potentially.
Okay.
No, it's not a nose.
I know what it is.
It's, um...
Eyebrows.
No, it's not eyebrows.
Eyebrow.
No, it's not eyebrow.
Oh, a monobrow.
It's, what do you call it?
Oh, symmetry.
Symmetry.
Just facial.
Facial symmetry.
Yeah.
That is a factor, but no, that's not what we're talking about.
It's something way more specific.
Oh.
And I can tell from over here that Bree does have it.
Oh.
Looking at you, I can't really tell.
Oh, okay.
Have it.
Yeah.
It's a really specific feature.
It's called the long.
Oh, is it a bum chin?
No, Bree.
It's not.
Do you have a little bum chin?
Yeah.
Oh, you do have a little bum chin?
I've never noticed it.
I get it from my dad.
It's not centred either.
Yeah, not the best on a woman.
It's subtle though.
Is it not centered?
Oh.
That's new.
Has it shifted with age?
Maybe.
Maybe it's the angle I'm sitting on.
Yeah.
Anyway.
Yes, it's just the way you're looking at it.
And what has she got?
What is the thing she's got?
No, it's a thing called a limble ring.
What's that?
Why are you looking at my ring?
Clint, you might have it, but I just can't tell her from over here.
I've got the Samsung one.
do have the, and she's got the aura. I've got the aura.
No, the limbo ring is a feature in your eye.
It's where the coloured part meets the white part.
You know, some people will have a darker ring around your eyes.
Colored part. So in your iris, the coloured part.
Yeah.
There's a darker ring around the outside of it, right?
Because there's another thing where they can see the whites all around your eyeballs,
and that's a thing to.
There's someone famous who has a...
Billy Eilish.
Is it Billy Elish?
Yeah.
Yeah, so you're...
She's the opposite.
She's like got no whites.
She's got real hooded eyes.
Yeah, she, yeah, anyway, that's a different thing.
So it's a dark ring around the coloured part of the eye.
Yeah, and that makes people think you're either more or less attractive.
Look at me, Clint?
Wait, so, makes you think people are more or less.
Yeah, there's a study that's been done that's, yeah,
shown whether people like it or they don't.
Oh.
There's evidence that this tiny detail can actually change how we perceive a face.
Peschak and colleagues show people identical faces with and without visible limbo rings.
And the version with darker rings were generally rated
is more attractive. One reason may be age. In the same study, visible limbo rings became less
prominent with age, meaning a stronger ring could act as a subtle cue of youth or even health.
Okay. Interesting. Can you hear how disappointed Clint is that he doesn't have it?
No, she said I do have it. You have a subtle ring.
It's just wishy-washy. I said it can make you more or less attractive.
I feel like everyone has that, don't they?
No, I don't think everyone does.
Oh.
Just a special pretty.
Yeah, you've got it too.
Oh, that's why you bought this to the table.
Because I'm special and pretty.
Yeah, yeah.
I like my woman with a bum chin.
Well, have I introduced you to meet?
