The ZM Podcast Network.
ZM's Brie and Clint.
Kia ora everybody, welcome to the Brie and Clint show.
Sorry, we're just getting everything organised for this Taylor Thursday.
It is going bonkers at the moment, so we just want to make sure that we are fair
and even-handed in giving as many people the chance as possible.
Absolutely.
Also, Ross is away, so let's put multiple people in again.
Absolutely.
He's at the Eris Tour.
Oh, of course.
I was like, where is Ross?
Yeah, he's away.
He's going to Melbourne and Sydney.
We will play.
Yeah.
Yeah, lucky.
Yeah.
Must be nice.
Yeah.
Well, you're going to Sydney, man.
Yeah, I'm going once.
He's going to like six shows.
Oh, do you only get to go once?
Mate, I paid for my tickets.
I sat in the waiting rooms.
I stressed.
I cried. Just like everyone else.
Thank you very much.
Oh, geez.
Geez, sensitive.
Paid for my flights.
Paid for my accommodation.
Everyone's so touchy when it comes to Taylor Swift.
Yeah, don't come at me.
Bruce just showed me a video of Travis Kelsey at the Super Bowl parade.
He is steamed.
Yeah, he is celebrating hard.
He is drunk AF.
Yeah.
Arroganty, I've got this idea that he held back at the Las Vegas party
because Taylor Swift was there and they were hanging out together.
He had to behave.
He had to behave.
But now she's not there.
She's in Australia and he's taking the handbrake off.
Yeah, he's going to send it.
It's gone wild.
He's going to send it.
Okay, so your first Taylor Swift song is coming up in about 12 minutes.
We'll play the first one.
12 minutes.
And we're putting multiple people through.
We're doing multiple people through.
We're doing multiple because Ross is away and we are still yet to have that meeting with HR about last Thursday.
First, though, we're going to do Tradie vs. Lady.
So if you want to play with us, do not call us for Taylor Swift right now.
Call us if you want to play Tradie vs. Lady and win $50 cash thanks to KFC.
The Tradie vs versus lady players.
Not Taylor right now.
Bree and Clint.
It's tradie
versus lady.
3, 2, 1
Let's go. A score update.
If you're playing along throughout
the year, we do keep score here
at the Bree and Clint show. The tradies are on
10. The ladies on 11.
Let's go to Madison first. She's our lady. She's in
New Plymouth. She's 27 years old
and she once fell off a stage and
broke her arm. Welcome to the show
Madison. Thank you. Hello.
Hi Maddie. Was it your right
or left arm and which is
your main arm?
Left arm and my main arm is my right
arm but I just looked like a dork
for quite a while.
Were you performing when you fell off the stage?
Nah, we were playing a game
just in a hall
and someone turned the lights off.
I didn't realise the stage ended.
Someone turned the lights off?
That's a hate crime.
You know, hide and seek.
Well, at least you didn't have an audience once you fall off. Could have been worse. Nah, there was quite a hate crime. You know, hide and seek. Yeah. Well, unless you didn't have an audience, what's your fall off?
Could have been worse.
Nah, there's quite a few people.
Oh, okay.
So it was worse.
You're taking on our tradies today.
They're from Auckland.
They are 54 and they just started lawn bowls.
They've just started lawn bowls and they were called a young fella.
Welcome to the show, Nigel.
Hi, Nige.
Hey, team.
How are we? We're good.
I love lawn bowls.
I'm very into it, but the
only thing I struggle with is
the shoes. Finding a cool
pair of bowling shoes. Do you have some?
I do, but
I mean, look, I'm going to play bowls today
in jandals. There you go.
Hell yes, Nigel. Yeah, you find the right
club, you wear whatever you want. Hell yeah. Exactly. You've seen Cracker Jack, haven't you. There you go. Hell yes, Nigel. Yeah, you find the right club, you wear whatever you want.
Hell yeah.
Exactly.
Come on, you've seen Cracker Jack,
haven't you?
There you go.
Love that movie.
Nige, your buzzer is tradie.
Madison, yours is lady.
The first person to give us
three correct answers
gets 50 bucks cash from KFC.
Good luck.
Here we go, guys.
Question number one.
What is the majority
of the earth covered by?
Lady.
Yes, Madison.
Water.
Correct.
Water, oceans, mostly is the earth covered by.
That is one to the ladies.
Question number two.
The port hills around which major New Zealand city?
Ladies.
Yes, Nigel.
Christchurch.
Well done.
Currently, we're thinking of everyone down there in Christchurch.
That's one apiece.
Question number three.
Buzz in when you can tell me who sings this song.
Is it Selena?
Sorry.
Madison.
Justin Bieber.
It is, of course, Justin Bieber.
Two to the ladies, one to the tradies.
You need this one, Nigel, to stay in it.
Question number four.
Who plays the fictional character Borat?
Is it Andy Samberg, Sacha Baron Cohen, or Will?
Ladies.
Yes, Nigel.
Yeah, Sacha and Baron.
Close enough, yep.
We'll take it.
Sacha Baron Cohen.
I'm dyslexic, mate.
Fair enough.
I said, yeah, close enough. I shouldn't be here close enough.
It was a roundabout.
We are all tied up here in this game of tradie versus lady.
This is for the win.
Question number five.
The party island of Ibiza is part of which country?
Greece, Spain?
Tradie.
Yes, Nigel?
Greece.
I'll finish
the answers.
Madison, the options
were Greece, Spain or Italy?
Spain.
Well done. She's got it.
Couldn't she get much
tighter than that game?
Well done to both of you. It was a good
one, but Madison, you've scored 50 bucks from KFC.
Congratulations.
Yes.
Thank you.
Nice work, Maddie.
We'll get that 50 bucks out to you.
Bree and Clint.
Today is the final Taylor Thursday.
Today we will give away the last double pass in New Zealand
to go to the Airers Tour.
This one is in Sydney and it comes with flight and accommodation.
Do we know what night
in Sydney?
No, great question.
I hope it's the same night
as me.
Oh yeah.
And then we'll probably
all see each other.
Are you sitting in the area
as the same area
as all the other ZM winners?
I have no idea.
Yeah, right.
No clue
because I bought
my own tickets.
We've got about 50 people
sitting in the same space together.
Surely I'll see some of them.
50 Kiwi accents
all sat together. Literally thousands of people there. We're going to get as many people in the same space together. Surely I'll see some of them. 50 Kiwi accents all sat together. Literally
thousands of people there.
We're going to get as many people in the draw as we can today.
We know we're only meant to do one, but let's just
see how we go. Siobhan's here.
Siobhan, you're in the draw to be at the Eris Tour.
You've done it, Siobhan.
Have you been trying for long?
Oh my God, you've no idea.
We were in America when the tickets went on sale
and we left Disneyland early
to go and buy tickets and we missed out.
We booked flights and accommodation
and we missed out. We've tried every competition.
I'm so excited! Oh, well done.
Who would you take, Siobhan?
I'd take my 10-year-old son.
He knows every word to every
song. He's got Taylor Swift on
his bedroom wall right beside the superheroes.
She is a superhero.
Oh, what a sweetheart.
What's his name?
Please forgive us.
Please forgive us.
What's his name, Siobhan?
His name's Lockie.
He's on the wedding night.
Hi, Lockie.
Hi, Lockie.
Well, good luck, guys.
Hopefully we're talking to you at 5.30, okay?
Please forgive us.
Please forgive us.
Yeah, good luck.
Good luck.
Let's go to Aria. You can go in the drawer as well, Aria. Hi. Hi luck. Let's go to Aria.
You can go in the draw as well, Aria.
Hi.
Hi.
How old are you, Aria?
I'm 11.
You're 11.
You're a big Taylor Swift fan, obviously.
Yes.
What's your favourite song from Taylor Swift?
Gorgeous.
Gorgeous.
God, she is a Swiftie.
She is a Swiftie.
Great choice.
Okay, you're in the draw, Aria.
We're giving this away at 5.30 today,
and we're putting as many people in as we can.
Jade, you're in the draw to go to the Eras Tour.
Yay!
Hi, Jade.
Who would you take?
Oh, I'd have to drag along my partner, Hamish.
He says he's not a swiftie, but secretly he is.
Secretly he would live for it.
There's going to be so many boyfriends in there at the stadium
pretending they're not loving it, but deep down secretly loving it.
Well, good luck, Jade.
Hopefully we talk to you soon.
Tina has managed to get through.
Tina's on 0800 dials at M.
Hi.
Hi, Tina.
Hi, how are you guys?
If you're not a Swifty, we're about to turn you.
Oh, my God, no, I'm 100% Swifty.
We have been trying so long.
Amazing.
Well, it's paid off.
You're in the draw.
Good luck for this afternoon, okay?
Thank you so, so much, guys.
I listen to you every day.
Thank you.
Oh, thank you.
Bless your heart.
We appreciate it.
I reckon we can squeeze two more in for this Taylor song.
Okay, let's try and do two more.
We'll try Tiffany.
Hi.
Hi, Tiff. Hello, let's try and do two more. We'll try Tiffany. Hi. Hi, Tiff.
Hello, how are you?
Good, thanks.
Who would you take if you won these tickets, flights and accommodation?
Oh, I have a 10-year-old son who just loves Taylor.
So, yeah, definitely him.
The 10-year-old boys, big on Taylor Swift.
I love it.
We love that.
You're in the draw.
We might be talking to you at 5.30, Tiffany.
Good luck.
Oh, fingers crossed.
Thank you. Good luck, Tiffany. One more. We've got to to you at 5.30, Tiffany. Good luck. Oh, fingers crossed. Thank you.
Good luck, Tiffany.
One more.
We've got to do one more.
Jodie, hi.
Hi, Jodie.
Hi.
You've just scraped in.
You're in the draw.
Oh, I'm excited.
Thank you so much.
You're very welcome, mate.
We're making the call to the winner.
Drawing at random at 5.30 this afternoon.
So make sure your phone's got plenty of battery, okay?
Well, indeed.
Thank you.
Good luck, Jodie.
I calculate that we have one, two, three, four more Taylor Swift songs minimum
before 5.30 this afternoon.
So stick with us.
Bree and Clint.
From iHeartRadio, this is the latest live from L.A. with Dee McCarthy.
The glaring hole, if there was one, in Usher's Super Bowl halftime performance
was everyone thought he would bring out Justin Bieber.
They thought it was a done deal.
He's such a big star and they've got such a big history together.
But it didn't happen.
And now, Dean, Justin's spoken out as to why.
He's spoken out and I even bet money on this.
I mean, he caught Kim Kardashian's private jet there.
I was like, oh, is this happening?
He actually said he wasn't feeling it.
That is his official response.
He was not feeling it.
You know, I mean, he just wasn't in the vibe.
Dean, he didn't want to put the roller skates on.
I get it.
Look, there's no... gate's on. I get it.
Look, there's no... There's no...
I could have jumped into that.
I could have totally done it for him.
You know, I mean, it is a
huge, huge deal.
I feel like I can see why he'd be like,
I feel like there's more to it. Like, you don't just
like, decide at the last minute. I'm not
vibing it. It's not like going to the movie.
It's like, you know what I mean?
So go on.
I wonder if it's two things.
Either he is sort of,
because he's doing less at the moment,
Justin Bieber.
Because he was at the game.
He was there watching.
Just for fun.
And maybe he just wanted to relax.
Or he didn't want to, you know,
he didn't want to get in there too early
because he's holding out
for his Super Bowl halftime show.
Oh,
I have another theory
as well.
Yeah.
I actually think,
remember,
because he actually
cancelled a huge tour
and a ton of shows.
Yes.
But I feel like
he kind of all of a sudden
just popped back out there
and rocked it out
that I think it might have,
maybe,
I don't know,
maybe he felt like
his fans would be like,
wait a second,
you cancelled our shows,
we spent all this money,
we're all excited
and now you're out here just throwing concerts around
like it's nothing.
I don't know.
Maybe.
I reckon they would have forgiven him for one song.
And actually, he would have only got to do one verse
because all those songs are so short.
Yeah.
The official word, couldn't be stuffed.
So there you go.
That's the latest.
He couldn't find his purple sneakers
and his white jumpsuit.
Yeah.
Bree and Clint.
Welcome to Taylor Thursdays.
You have arrived.
Our final Taylor Swift double pass.
Yes, unlike some radio stations that gave their Taylor Swift tickets to their staff,
we're giving all of our tickets away to you guys.
Every single ticket we can is being
given to a ZDM listener.
Did it just get real dark in here?
I'm just stating facts. Oh, that was the shade.
I'm just stating facts. Oh, the shade of it all.
Every single
double pass that we have
goes to you guys.
We can buy our own. So let's give
some more people the chance to win them this afternoon.
Hi, Kayla. Hi, Kayla.
Hi, Kayla.
Hi.
Kayla, you've gotten through and you're in the draw.
Are you there with anyone or is it just you?
Yeah, no, my mum and my sister are here.
Are they trying as well?
Yeah.
Oh, well, lucky, lucky you've made it through.
Who would you take then out of your mum and your sister?
It's actually more for them because I'm not going to be able to go.
Oh, they're so kind of you, Kayla.
Selfless, Kayla.
You're in the draw.
We could be calling you at 5.30 with some very good news.
Awesome.
Good luck, Kayla. Let's go to Moana on 0800.
Hi, Moana.
Hello, mate.
Hi.
How old are you?
13. Hi. How old are you? Thirteen.
Thirteen. Lucky number for
Taylor. So who would you take with you
to the Eris Tour if you win these tickets?
My mum. Yeah, good idea.
Is she a big Swifty as well?
No.
I love the honesty.
The honesty will get you everywhere, Moana.
Good luck for this afternoon, okay?
Thank you.
Okay.
That was so cute.
Nah, can't stand it.
Nah.
We've got two callers on this line.
It's Emma and Ruby.
Hi, girls.
Hello, ladies.
Hi.
Hi.
Who is the biggest Swifty out of you both,
or do you equally love her?
Um, me. Is that you, Ruby? Who is the biggest Swifty out of you both or you equally love her?
Me.
Is that you, Ruby?
Mm-hmm.
How old are you?
Seven.
Seven.
Oh, my God.
This would be the best trip ever.
You guys are in the draw.
Good luck.
Thank you so much.
Good luck, team. You're very, very welcome.
We're speeding through this because we're trying to get as many people in the draw as we can.
This is the last double pass in the country,
so it's only fair that we get as many in as we can.
And Vanessa, you've made it through.
Oh, yay!
I can't believe I've been trying for four weeks.
You've been trying for four weeks, Vanessa.
Well, yay, yay for my daughters.
They're huge fans.
They pick their outfits and everything.
Wait a second.
Vanessa, you're obviously their mum.
You would give both tickets, the flights and accommodation over to your daughters?
Yeah, I would.
God, you're a good mum.
I just can't believe I got through.
I know.
I know.
Hey, good work.
I know it's been tough, but you made it.
So congratulations.
Thanks so much, guys.
Good luck, Vanessa.
Let's do two more.
We've got room for two more this time around.
Gemma, hi.
Hi, Gemma.
Hi.
Who would you take with you, Gem?
Oh, my daughter.
Is she a big fan?
Yeah, she's sitting beside me crying right now.
Oh.
What's your daughter's name?
Aria.
She actually got through before.
Did she?
So you guys are both in the draw?
Yeah.
That's double the chance. Well, if you win, you're obviously taking her. Hopefully, if she wins, she'll So you guys are both in the draw? Yeah. That's double the chance.
Well, if you win, you're obviously taking her.
Hopefully, if she wins, she'll take you.
But you never know.
She can take whoever she wants.
Well, good luck, Gemma.
Hopefully, we talk to one of you later.
Awesome.
Thank you so much.
See you.
One more for this round, and let's give it to Rosie.
Hi, Rosie.
Hi, Rosie.
Hi.
How are you going?
Good, thanks.
Now, Rosie, what's your favorite era? I would have to say Fearless. I'm a. Hi, Rosie. Hi, how are you going? Good, thanks. Now, Rosie, what's your favourite
era?
I would have to say Fearless. I'm a bit of an OG,
so I enjoy the old album.
You're like a real OG. Yeah,
real OG. And have you
stayed on the Swifty train the whole way
through? Have you kind of jumped on and off?
The whole way through. The whole way.
I've been a big fan since day one.
Well, congratulations, mate.
You are one step closer.
You could be hearing from us at 5.30 with the tickets and the flights and the accommodation
to Taylor Swift.
Good luck, Rosie.
Thank you.
All right, we'll do another one.
I know you guys are hanging out for them, so it will be about, about, around about quarter
past four, our next Taylor Swift song.
Good luck to everyone.
We want to put as many of you in the draw as we can.
Bree and Clint.
A group of people have put together what they believe
are the top ten rom-coms of all time.
Okay.
This is a hard category.
Yeah.
And I know you don't understand because you haven't seen any of them.
I'm working my way through them.
Okay, name your favourite rom-coms that you've seen.
Watch 10 Things I Hate About You at Christmas.
For the first time.
For the first time.
And can I just say, if you haven't seen it, excellent.
Heath Ledger.
Mate, mate, mate.
Very good.
Everyone's seen it.
Including me.
Everyone has seen it.
And...
What would be your favourite rom-com of all time?
And you can't say one unless you've seen it.
Oh, it's really not my category.
It's really not my category.
You're missing out.
It's the best category.
Ten Things I Hate About You.
Yep, that'll do it.
That's the only one.
Good name.
I like it so much, I got this ready.
Which,
spoiler, at the end of
the movie the band plays this on the roof
of the school.
It's a travesty. Don't worry, that doesn't
give away the movie.
No, everyone knows because we've all seen
it. We've all seen it.
Anyway, it does make the list.
10 Things I Hate About You comes in at number 8
on this list. Okay.
Which I think is fair. I would have put it at
number 1, but yep. You haven't seen
any of the others.
Number 10, they've put
Bridesmaids, one of the
greatest films of all
time, regardless of category.
I didn't know that counted as
a rom-com. I've seen that.
It's a rom-com.
Okay.
Well, you obviously haven't seen it.
I have seen it.
I thought it was just a comedy.
What's the love part in it?
John Hamm at the start of the movie is sleeping with Jennifer Aniston.
Who was he sleeping with?
I can't remember.
Kristen Wiig.
Oh, that's it, yeah.
Anyway, let's move on.
She climbs the fence.
That's number 10.
You've seen the start, haven't you?
You haven't seen the rest.
Just carry on with your list.
Bridesmaids, number 10.
Number nine is The Holiday.
Fantastic movie.
Cameron Diaz.
You've got Kate Winslet.
You've got Jack Black.
And Ewan McGregor.
No.
No. No.
Who's the other one?
No, I'm going to let you guess.
He slept with the nanny.
Cheated on his wife with the nanny.
God.
Is that all he's known for these days?
What's his name?
Jude Law.
Jude Law.
Jude Law.
I've seen it.
Excellent movie.
Fantastic movie.
Maybe this is your category.
You just haven't seen anything. I've seen that. 10 movie. Fantastic movie. Maybe this is your category.
You just haven't seen anything.
I've seen that.
Ten Things I Hate About You, number eight.
Seven is Four Weddings and a Funeral, which is an older film that has Hugh Grant in it.
Six is When Harry Met Sally, another older film. Number five is Bridget Jones' Diary.
Is that Meg Ryan?
Yes.
Yeah, it's on my list.
Good.
It is.
And so is Four Weddings.
It's good.
It's good.
Both great films.
The problem is when you haven't seen any movies
and you build this list of classics
that you want to watch,
everybody has seen them.
So when you go,
oh, we should watch When Harry Met Sally
or we should watch Sleepless in Seattle.
People are like, great movie.
Seen it about six times.
So I don't get the opportunity to watch
them. Yeah, because they're normal and
they've seen it. I don't understand where
you've been that you haven't seen it.
Me neither. And it's not just like
a couple of films. It's like all of them.
Yeah, it's nothing. Number five is
Bridget Jones's Diary. I like all the Bridget Jones's films. It's like all of them. Yeah, it's nothing. Number five is Bridget Jones's Diary.
I like all the
Bridget Jones's films.
Yeah.
I like them all.
Number four is
Booksmart,
which is a recent film.
I watched that
a couple of years ago.
So funny.
Who's in it?
Number four
and no one's ever heard of it.
Kind of like,
I've seen it.
Mate,
you are not a good benchmark
if people have seen it or not.
Okay, who's in it?
It's kind of like a female version of Superbad is how I'd describe it.
Oh, I saw the trailer for it.
It looks really good.
Yeah, yeah.
Number three is The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.
Have you seen it?
Oh, my God. You need to watch it. It's got Betty White in it, for God's sake. It you seen it? Oh, my God.
You need to watch it.
It's got Betty White in it, for God's sake.
It's fantastic.
Okay.
Number two, Rye Lane.
Never seen that movie.
Apparently, it came out last year.
It's an indie film.
And it's number two?
On these people's lists.
Yeah.
And number one, for the greatest rom-com of all time,
I do not agree with this. Great film. Is it-com of all time. I do not agree with this.
Great film.
Is it the best of all time?
Crazy Stupid Love.
I can't comment, so.
You haven't seen it.
No.
I'm going to rattle off some films just to take us out
that should have been in the list.
He's Just Not That Into You.
That's in my list?
Yeah, I've seen it. Pretty Woman,
Easy A, Love Actually,
Notting Hill
is not in the top 10. Come on
now. 13 going on 30.
Made in Manhattan, My Best
Friend's Wedding, How to Lose a Guy
in 10 Days, Never Been Kissed,
The Wedding Planner, Coyote Ugly,
Hitch, My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
All should have been somewhere in that list.
Three.
What?
I'd seen three of those.
Which ones?
Notting Hill.
Yep.
Bree and Clint.
It's a Taylor Thursday.
Here we go.
Tickets, flights, accommodation.
You'll be there in Sydney next weekend. We are cramming
people in this draw. We are going to get as many people as we can in before it hits 5.30
and we call today's winner. Let's start with Izzy on 0800 dials at M. Hi, Izzy. Hi. Izzy,
what's your favourite era? Oh my God. Probably Speak Now. Yeah, love it. Izzy, what's your favourite era? Oh, my God. Probably Speak Now.
Yeah, love it.
Izzy, you're in the draw, mate.
You and a mate could be going to Sydney to see the Eris tour
with flights and accommodation.
Good luck.
Thank you so much.
You're very, very welcome.
Amy's on 0800 dials at M.
Amy, you're on air.
Oh, hey, how you going?
Oh, my God, I've tried so many times.
How many times do you reckon you've called, Amy?
Today, probably like 250.
That's a lot.
That's a lot of dialing.
Actually, 250?
I think it would be close.
Wow.
That's incredible.
Well, it's paid off.
You're in the draw.
Good luck.
Thank you so much.
Yay.
You're welcome.
Let's talk to another Swifty.
Katrina is on the phone.
Hi, Katrina.
Hi, Kat. Oh, my goodness. Hi. Hi. You're on. Let's talk to another Swifty. Katrina is on the phone. Hi, Katrina. Hi, Kat.
Oh, my goodness.
Hi.
Hi.
You're on the air.
Finally.
I'm sure you've been frustrated, but you've finally done it.
I've been calling since 6 a.m. every time.
Are you sure?
Because it's so close now, the Sydney shows.
Are you sure you could drop everything and go to the Eris Tour if you win this?
I would quit my job.
Who would you take with you, Katrina?
My best fan, my fellow 0.1% Spotify listener, Jordan.
You're in the 0.1% club?
Oh, yeah.
Wow.
Really?
What would you say is Taylor Swift's best song?
Oh, gosh, that's rough.
It used to be
Cruel Summer was kind of my vibe.
Currently, I'm still on my
You're Losing Me kit.
Yeah, is that because we played
Cruel Summer too much
and it kind of ruined it for you?
You could say it.
We agree.
It got played to death.
I still like it though, to be honest.
Good luck, mate.
Hopefully you win this
and hopefully you don't have to quit your job. We'll find out at 5.30 though, to be honest. Good luck, mate. Hopefully you win this, and hopefully you don't have to quit your job.
We'll find out at 5.30.
Thank you so much.
Good luck, Katrina.
A couple more.
Let's get Nicole in the draw to go to the heiress tour.
Hi, Nicole.
Hi, Nicole.
Hi.
Oh, my gosh, finally.
Finally, you're on the air.
You're in the draw.
What would you do?
Who would you take?
That would be my work colleague,
who's been my number one supporter
since day one since the show was announced.
Has she
believed that you could get these tickets?
She has a lot of faith in me, so
yes, yep, and I have a lot of faith in me as well,
so I'm definitely optimistic. Well, you've come
as close as you can go, Nicole. Good luck.
The draw's going down in just over an hour.
Thank you so much. Good luck, Nicole. One more person The draw's going down in just over an hour. Thank you so much.
You're welcome, mate.
Good luck, Nicole.
One more person
for this Taylor Swift track
and that can be you, Sam.
Hi.
Hi there.
Oh, my God.
Sam, you've done it.
You're finally on air.
You're in the draw.
Who would you take?
I would take my friend Sky.
We've been trying
hours and hours
on Chickateek Marketplace
but never had been successful.
Yeah, it's so hard.
It's rough out there, isn't it?
It is.
Very cruel summer.
It's a real cruel summer.
It's been a very cruel summer.
What would you wear
if you did win?
Definitely something
from the reputation era.
That's your vibe,
the reputation era?
Yeah.
Good luck, Sam.
We're going to call our winner
at 5.30 and give them everything.
It could be you. Just keep your phone on, okay?
Thank you so much. Good luck.
Welcome. Next Taylor Swift song. I know you're hanging
out for details. Before 5 o'clock,
like between quarter to 5 and 5
o'clock, we'll play another Taylor Swift song.
And we're going to play at least two more before we
make the draw. Yeah, we're going to try and put
as many of you in there as we can.
Brie and Clint. Time to watch the plots. Once upon we're going to try and put as many of you in there as we can. Brie and Clint. Time for
Watch the Plot.
Once upon a time, there was a girl.
She was smart, debatable,
talented, eh,
athletic, not really.
But picking a movie title
based on just the plotline,
that she can do.

Watch the Plot?
Our signature movie guessing game where today, if you beat Bree,
you'll win $250 cash.
Taking you on is Nui. Kia ora, Nui.
Hi, Nui.
Hi.
Are you a big movie buff?
Did you hear that big list of rom-coms that Bree gave out earlier?
Yes, I did.
How many do you reckon you'd seen on that list?
I've seen about five, I think.
Okay.
Better than Clint?
Yeah, better than me.
Maybe rom-com's not your thing,
but this category is not necessarily about rom-coms.
Okay.
I'll just give you the rules before I give you the category
because we're going to go straight into this.
Right.
I start reading out plot lines from movies, Nui,
and if you think you know what it is,
you buzz in with your name and have a guess.
You don't need to wait for me to finish the movie plot line
before you buzz in, because Bree won't wait.
She's going to go straight in there as well.
Okay?
Okay.
If you get two correct before Bree does,
then you're going to score $250 cash today.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
Good luck, Nui.
Today, as a theme,
because the Errors Tour
officially kicks off
in Australia tomorrow
at the MCG in Melbourne,
both of our producers
are over there right now.
In fact, we're focusing
on music and concerts.
All of these movies
are about bands
or concerts in some way.
Okay.
Music movies.
Got it.
Good luck, guys.
Here comes movie number one.
When two aspiring small-town musicians
are given the opportunity to chase their pop star dreams
and represent their country
at the world's biggest song competition,
they finally have a chance to prove
that any dream worth having...
Nui.
Nui.
Is it in the heights?
Is it what, sorry?
In the heights.
No.
Incorrect.
Worth a guess though, Nui.
Worth a guess.
You want a free guess, Bree?
I have no clue.
No?
No clue.
I'll carry on and see if you can get it.
They need to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for,
but scheming rivals, high stakes,
and onstage mishaps test their bond.
Any ideas?
No idea.
Do you?
Newey?
I've got no idea.
No.
There's a Eurovision song contest starring Will Ferrell.
I've seen it.
I have seen it.
I would never have gone up those.
Such a good movie.
I have not seen it.
It's very funny. Okay, music
movies. No points to anybody.
Movie number two. An overly enthusiastic
guitarist gets thrown out
of his band and finds himself in
desperate need of work. Posing as
a substitute music... Brie! The School
of Rock. School of Rock's correct.
Jack Black.
Jack Black. fantastic film.
Okay, you're still in this, Nui,
but you need to get this next one, okay?
Okay.
You've got this, you've got it.
Movie number three.
Set in 1973,
this film chronicles the funny
and often poignant coming of age
of 15-year-old William,
an unabashed music fan who was inspired by the seminal bands of the time.
Nui.
American Graffiti.
American Graffiti is a great guess, but it's not correct.
I'm going to go with Almost Famous.
Almost Famous is correct.
And that's the game.
Sorry, Nui, not today.
Sorry, mate.
Brianne Clint.
Your Taylor Swift song is coming very shortly,
and I know that's all you want.
95% of you listening, that's all you want right now.
You want us to shut up, get to the Taylor,
and we will.
Not long to wait.
But instead, I'm going to punish you with information
about where New Zealanders would like to go on holiday.
They're like, we know!
Sydney!
Sydney!
In like two weeks to see taylor swift sydney

Tauranga or something and she did that
Tauranga
she's like wonganui
wonganui
oh we can only dream
where do we want to go on holiday? House of Travelers asked
4000 Kiwis to list their dream destinations
and bucket list experiences
now that we can travel the world again
what's yours? Mine?
Your number one, top of the list, like that's where you're going.
Ibiza.
Such a dad answer.
No.
Obviously without your family.
Oh, they wouldn't appreciate it.
You're taking your family to Ibiza.
No.
Are they going to the beach parties?
You said mine.
Obviously the family's not included.
I'll offer my wife and she'll politely decline if it's not her scene.
And I'll go, all right, better get the boys together.
Oh, God.
They asked 4,000 Kiwis, where do you want to go?
These are the most popular destinations.
Okay.
Number one, the UK, obviously.
Great place.
Number two, Italy.
Great place.
Number three, Greece. Amazing place. Number three, Greece.
Amazing place.
Where I think a lot of people think Ibiza is,
but it's actually in Spain.
Spain.
But yeah, same thing.
Number four, Canada slash Alaska.
Excuse me?
Canada slash Alaska.
Who wants to go to Alaska?
Yeah, I can't remember a time where I asked someone,
where are you going?
And they said Alaska.
I mean, Alaska.
It sounds amazing though.
Magnificent.
Like it sounds incredible.
But get me to a beach, please.
And number five, Japan.
Oh, I want to go back to Japan so bad.
I'm shocked.
I'm shocked that the United States are not in that top five.
Well,
it's not the best place to go at the moment.
What? Why not?
It's just dangerous. Oh, there's lots of good and bad and dangerous parts everywhere.
Oh, but there's a lot. There's a literal
mafia. There's a literal mafia in Italy.
There's been a lot of bad
stuff going on in the States at the moment.
Yeah? Yeah. Have you watched The Sopranos?
Do you know what happens in Italy? Mate watched The Sopranos? Do you know what happens in Italy?
Mate, The Sopranos are based in
America. I know, but there's an episode where they
go to Italy. God, you idiot.
You know why I want
to go to Japan so bad? Why?
I really want to try the egg
salad sandwich from 7-Eleven.
So bad.
Long way to go for a convenience
store sandwich. So bad store Have you seen it?
No
Everyone's talking about it
Bring me one back

Oh yeah, my brother just did that The Aurora Borealis. No, the Northern Lights. Oh, yeah. My brother just did that.
The Aurora Borealis.
Maybe that's the Alaska thing.
Yeah, my brother and his wife just did that on their honeymoon.
People also said they want to go on a cruise ship.
Nah.
Not since COVID, eh?
Like, I wouldn't say no, absolutely not, ever.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
But it's not on the top of my list.
And staying in a resort, like a fancy resort
where you don't have to go anywhere and you don't have to travel
and you just charge everything to your room.
That's at the top of people's list.
That's essentially what a cruise is.
Yeah, it is.
Except you're not stuck out in the ocean.
True.
And they ask people what their budget is for travel.
Okay.
57% of people said they plan to spend between $4,000 and $15,000.
$15,000?
On international travel this year.
That would be one heck of a trip.
$15,000.
I did Europe for, I think I paid all up for.
To go around Europe?
That's flights, accommodation, food.
Jeez, that's good.
Yeah.
That seems good.
Well, I jumped on my mum and dad's bandwagon
for a few of the accommodations.
Did you share a room with your parents?
I did have to share a room.
And I always got the pull-out bed.
But worth it, worth it.
Yeah, go on, mate.
Get the savings where you can.
Yeah, absolutely.
There you go, maybe a bit of travel inspo for you.
Bree and Clint. Get the savings where you can. Yeah, absolutely. There you go. Maybe a bit of travel inspo for you.
Bree and Clint.
Welcome to Taylor Thursdays.
You have arrived.
I can't believe this is the last Taylor Thursday.
I know.
Don't talk about it. It makes me sad.
Today we'll give away our last double pass
and we'll include flights and accommodation
to the Airers Tour in Sydney
to one person who gets
on air today after they
hear a Taylor Swift song. Alright, let's put
some people in the draw. Hello
Michaela. Hello.
You're on the air.
What's your favourite era?
Oh, Fearless. It's gotta be Fearless.
Everyone, so many big fans of
Fearless, which I mean, I get it because it is a great
era. Is that an American accent, Michaela?
It is.
It is, and I've seen Taylor Swift before in Ohio.
I've touched her at her Fearless concert.
I hope it was consensual.
Can't just go around touching Taylor Swift, Michaela.
Well, hey, I got lucky.
You did.
I got lucky.
Good luck, mate. You're in our draw for this. I got lucky. Good luck, mate.
You're in our draw for this afternoon.
Thank you.
Good luck, Michaela.
Let's go to Caroline on 0800 dials at M.
Hi, Caroline.
Hi, Caroline.
Hey, how you doing?
Hi, guys.
Good, thanks.
Caroline, how long have you been trying today?
I've been listening to the radio the whole day,
and every time I got out of the car,
the Taylor Swift song must have been on.
No!
I was hearing the song, but I finally got through it. Awesome.
It's two tickets, two flights, two people.
Who's your person?
I want to take my nine-year-old daughter Charlotte
because I'm taking her to Pink and she's very
upset that it's not Taylor Swift so I
want to take her to Taylor Swift. God, she'll get
the double because I mean
she obviously has never seen
Pink before. No, she
hasn't. It'll convert her.
It'll convert her. Pink is a great
consolation prize, though. It is.
Hey, good luck, mate. It's a hard life.
Yeah, I know, right? It's a hard life
for kids these days. Thank you. Wait there.
We're going to put Rachel in the draw.
Hey, Rach. Hi, Rachel. Hi.
Good afternoon. Good afternoon.
Rachel, tell us a bit about you.
How long have you loved Taylor Swift?
Well, I have loved Taylor Swift ever since she's been around,
but my daughter loves her even more.
My daughter's 20.
Her name's Kate, and she's had a couple of tough years,
so I'm hoping I'm being a good mum by ringing up and getting her in the draw.
Well, you are being a good mum, Rachel, and you're in the draw,
so good luck, okay?
Wow, thank you so much.
What's your daughter's name?
Kate.
Kate.
Good luck, Kate.
Good luck, Rachel.
Thank you.
Thanks, guys.
See ya.
Let's go to Ray on 0800 dials at M.
Is it Ray or Ree?
Ree.
Hi, Ree. Hi, Ree.
Hey.
I'm so excited to be...
Thank you guys for at least, you know, this opportunity.
You're very welcome, mate.
Congrats on getting through.
You're totally welcome.
Have you been trying really hard?
I mean, mostly today, the last few times,
I've been driving when the songs come on
and I haven't been able to pull over.
I'm like, oh, darn it.
We're causing traffic jams.
Yeah, today has been every single one,
trying, trying, trying.
I'm so glad that I finally got through.
You're in.
You're in.
Good luck.
Thanks.
Nice work, Ree.
We have time for two more.
One of them is going to be Rachel.
Hi, Rach.
Another Rachel.
Hello.
Hello there.
Who are you trying to win tickets for?
Is it you?
It'll be for me and hubby probably because it was his birthday on Tuesday.
It's mine on Saturday and it's our wedding anniversary on Sunday.
Oh, perfect.
This would be wrapped up in a nice little bow for you, wouldn't it?
It would be.
He'd be stoked to go to Taylor Swift with me, I'm sure.
Who wouldn't be stoked to go to Taylor Swift with you?
He gets a free trip.
Good luck, mate.
Draw's done at 5.30.
Good luck, Rachel.
One more spot for this round, and we're going to give it to Franny.
Hi, Franny.
Hi, Franny.
Hi.
Hi, guys.
Oh, my gosh.
You're finally here, Franny.
You're on the air.
You're in the draw.
How are you feeling?
Guys, I've been trying for...
And I actually made it on air last week
and I talked to you guys briefly last week
and I was so good at that I didn't make it through
and I thought that was my one and only chance
I can't believe I got through
oh my god Freddie
oh guys
please and I tried buying tickets
the other day when they released more
and I was oh my god
I had so many screens, so many
devices and I finally got through but
I got timed out. No!
Freddie! I feel
your pain. That happened to me.
God. Freddie,
you're so close. You're 30 minutes away from finding
out if you're going to the Eris Tour. Good luck.
Oh my God. Thank you so much.
Thank you, thank you. You're welcome, you're welcome. Good luck, Freddie.
Bree and Clint. Bree and Clint.
Bree and Clint.
All I want for my birthday is a birthday banger.
Number one songs when you turn 16.
What is yours?
Well, this is the place to find out.
Let's start with Carl's birthday banger.
Hi, Carl.
G'day, Carl.
How you going?
Good, mate.
How's your day been?
It's been a day.
It's been a day. You done for the day, though? Most definitely, mate. How's your day been? It's been a day. It's been a day.
You done for the day, though?
Most definitely, yeah.
Have you been trying to win some Taylor Swift tickets, Carl?
Yeah, for the missus.
Oh, good on you, Carl.
Trying to do the Lord's work.
Yeah, she's had me on the job.
Is that why you've had such a rough day, Carl?
Nah, Carl's a good one such a rough day, Carl?
Nah, Carl's a good one.
Good on you, Carl.
Don't tell her you got through for birthday, beggar.
She'll be so annoyed.
No, definitely not.
Yeah.
All right, Carl, well, give us your birthday, mate.
It's 1st of October, 1981.
All right, that means you were 16 in 1997.
And... And here it is.
Oh, it's a banger, Carl.
What do you reckon?
Not too bad.
Not too bad.
Will Smith.
Was this for the first Men in Black movie?
Yeah.
It's a banger. It's a banger. Okay, wait there, Carl. We're? Yeah. It's a banger.
It's a banger.
Okay, wait there, Carl.
We're going to do Melissa's birthday banger.
Hi, Melissa.
Hi, Melissa.
Hey there.
Have you been trying to win Taylor Swift tickets too, Melissa?
All day long.
All day long.
I've got more chance of winning a lot, I reckon.
Yeah, well, mate, there's, I mean, I'm not going to lie,
the phone lines, we can't do anything here at work.
We can't even call anywhere or do anything or move.
Bummer, eh?
Put your feet up all day.
Hey, pretty much, Mel, pretty much.
Hey, mate, while you're here, let's do your birthday banger.
What's your birthday?
21st of March, 1975.
All right, that means you were 16 in 1991, and on that
day, this was at the top.
I'm a funny girl now.
The CNC Music Factory.
Yeah.
What a banger.
You like it, Melissa?
I remember Bustin' Moose. Yeah!
Melissa was cut in shapes.
What a throwback.
Okay, one more birthday banger.
Let's do Maria's.
Hi, Maria.
Hi, Maria.
Hey, how's it going?
Good, mate.
Is this a consolation prize for you two?
You really wanted Taylor Swift tickets?
Just a little bit.
Yeah.
Sorry, Maria.
It's okay.
Thanks, F&A.
Well, let's do your birthday banger.
What's your birthday?
9th of January, 1992.
All right.
That means you were 16 in 2008, and on that day, this was number one.
Yeah, Maria.
Flo Rida.
It's a banger.
It was a banger.
It's a good one.
These are three good birthday bangers.
Can I just propose something just briefly?
Yes.
Because Ross isn't here.
We put them all in the drawer.
And all three of these people have been trying so hard all day.
Guys, do you think we should put you all in the drawer?
Oh, please.
That'd be amazing.
If we lose our jobs, can we come live with you?
Yes. Okay, deal. Carl, please. That'd be amazing. If we lose our jobs, can we come live with you? Yes.
Okay, deal.
Oh, Carl.
Let me just check with Carl.
Carl, do you actually
want to be in the drawer?
Oh, for sure.
Yeah, okay, sweet.
All right.
We're going to whack you
all in the drawer
for spending all that time, okay?
Oh, my God.
Thank you so much.
You're very welcome.
But seriously, though,
I want an en suite
if that does happen.
You want an en suite? Yeah. They'll hook me up. You want an en-suite if that does happen. You want an en-suite?
Yeah.
That'll hook me up.
You want an en-suite?
Yeah.
A room with a bathroom?
Yeah, like if I lose my job and I have to go live with one of these people.
Oh, I see what you're saying.
Jeez, that's a big demand.
Yeah.
I'm voting for Men in Black.
Are you?
Yeah.
I'm voting for C&C Music Factory.
Really?
I'm going Gonna make you sweat
Do you remember
That song Clint?
Yeah
Like when it

Here we are This is the last one It's been I'm going to kiss my arm. Yeah. Bree and Clint.
Here we are.
This is the last one.
It's been a really, really, really good few months of giving away these Taylor Swift tickets
and putting people in the draw over the last four Taylor Thursdays,
and this is the last one.
And thank you guys for coming on this ride with us.
We know that it can be frustrating.
We know that you guys have spent a lot of time and effort
and we appreciate all of you.
If we could, we'd give tickets to everyone.
But this is the last time
we're going to be putting people in the draw.
Jaina, you're one of those last people.
Oh, God.
Is it Jaina or Jainaia?
Jainaia.
Jainaia, that's you.
You're in the draw. That's amazing. Who would you take with you, Jaina or Jenea? Jenea. Jenea, that's you.
You're in the draw.
That's amazing.
Who would you take with you, Jenea?
I would take my stepdaughter, Ellie.
Oh, that would be awesome.
How old's Ellie?
She is 14.
14, perfect.
That would be an amazing trip.
Good luck with making the draw in the next five minutes.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome. Good luck, Jenea.
Let's get to Charlotte and Lana on 0800DARLS.M.
Hi, ladies.
Hello.
Hi.
You're on the air and you're in the draw at the last dying seconds of this competition.
Yeah, my daughter and I, she's a huge fan.
She actually shares a birthday with Taylor Swift the next of December,
and she just absolutely loves Taylor Swift.
And we tried to get tickets when we got through on Tuesday,
and then it just would not let us add anything to her cart.
So this is the absolute last chance.
Well, I've got my fingers and toes and everything crossed for you guys, okay?
Yes, thank you.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Okay.
Good luck.
The emotion in people's voices.
It's actually really hard to hear.
It breaks my heart because although it's amazing giving away these tickets.
Yeah.
You know everyone can't.
And I will be honest because I've felt the emotion because I was in the waiting rooms
and I tried and I missed out multiple times and I cried when I got my tickets because it was so
exhausting. But after every
Thursday where we talk to you guys about
these tickets and we give them away,
we're exhausted because we want to give
them to all of you. Like, we really
do. Let's keep it going.
Sam, it sounds like you're in a blizzard, but
you're in the draw to go to the Eris Tour.
Yeah, thanks. Thank you so much.
You're very, very welcome. No worries, Sam's like, sweet, I'll be Eras Tour. Yeah, thanks. Thank you so much. You're very, very welcome.
No worries, Sam's like, sweet, I'll be by the phone.
Yeah, we'll just put that one there.
Sam, you're all sorted.
Chanel, you're in the draw as well.
Hello.
Hi, Chanel.
What's your favourite era?
Definitely a fan of reputation.
There you go.
Is that what you'd be wearing to the concert if you won?
Oh, she's been put on hold.
We're getting details.
She's sorted.
We haven't lost her.
It is all happening.
Okay, let's go to Hayley on 0800 dials at him.
Hayley, are you with us?
I sure am with my daughter, Charlotte.
There she is.
Hayley, you're in the draw.
Oh, thank you very much.
How old's Charlotte?
She is 11.
How much does she love Taylor Swift?
Heaps.
Heaps.
Heaps.
That's all we need.
Good luck.
We're making that call very shortly.
It could be you.
Good luck, guys.
Thank you.
One more.
This is the last one.
Let's pick up the phone.
Hello, Karen.
Oh, yes.
Hi. Hi, Karen. You're the last person we're putting in the draw. It's a sign. It's a sign. Thank you. I hope for you. Well, thank you so
much for being a part of this competition. It's finally paid off. You're in the draw. Good luck.
We're about to call back a winner. Hopefully it's you.
I hope so. Thank you so much.
You're very, very welcome.
We're about to call
Hang tight. We're about to call our final
Taylor Swift winner
with tickets and flights and accommodation
to the Eris Tour. And can I say I'm
just as nervous as you
because I've been handed the piece of paper that has the phone number on it.
You're fumbling the piece of paper around.
Our producer, Claudia, who usually handles this stuff for us,
has gone to Melbourne for the Airers Tour.
So I'm having to do this myself and I shouldn't be trusted.
I shouldn't be trusted.
It's fine, you've got it.
I mean, I don't envy you, but you've got this.
This person was drawn out of all of the people
who made it on air after a Taylor Swift song today.
Oh, God.
God, okay.
We're going to put the call in right now.
Here we go.
Good luck, everybody.
Hello, Katrina thinking.
Hi, Katrina.
It's Bree and Clint calling from Zidim.
You're kidding.
Hold on, Katrina.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Are you there?
I'm here.
I'm chill.
You need to calm down.
I'm so calm.
Yeah.
Because you're going to see her live in Sydney.
Oh, my gosh.
Thank you so much.
It sounded like Katrina exploded.
Hey, mate, well done.
Okay, this is no mean feat what you've achieved,
but you and a friend are going to Sydney.
We're going to cover the lot of it.
Who are you taking to see Taylor Swift live
with you?
My best friend and flatmate Jordan, who is right here
screaming.
How excited is Jordan?
I don't know.
It's okay.
What does this mean to you, Katrina?
What does it mean to you that you're going to be
there to see her live?
Everything.
We have cried so much over this.
Everyone's been asking us if we ended up getting tickets.
It's the Aeron store.
It's the one Aeron store.
And you just couldn't get them.
You tried everything.
You couldn't do it.
And finally, in the dying seconds, the week before
this is all going down, you're going to be
there. We've got your flights, we've got your
tickets, we've got your accommodation.
It's all covered so you can relax
and enjoy.
Thank you so, so much.
You're very welcome, mate. Thank you for listening
to ZM. Thank you for putting in the 500
calls that I'm sure you did and you
enjoy yourself in Australia. Congratulations. Thank you for putting in the 500 calls that I'm sure you did and you enjoy yourself in Australia.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
They're going to be having some wines
tonight. They're going to be having a
good time. They're probably going to have Taylor on.
What about me nailing the phone number?
You crushed it, mate. Crushed it.
You weren't even nervous.
You threw it up
and you nailed it.
Thanks, everybody.
I know you got it if you didn't win, but we appreciate you sticking with us.
It's been a wild ride.
Thanks for listening to ZM.
And if we get the chance to do it again, you know we damn well will.
Bree and Clint.
We talked about, oh, sorry, I have to do the spiel.
We are the leading show here in New Zealand for aviation and maritime-based news.
And you said the other day that we hadn't done much maritime news
in the last couple of years,
but I heard you and now I'm delivering.
I had to find that very quickly.
You could have just asked me to do it.
No, no, we're good.
Nailed it.
Have we talked about the Titanic exhibition
that's been happening in Melbourne?
No.
Apparently there's been this big, amazing exhibition
about the Titanic that's been happening in Melbourne Museum for the last however many months.
Is it the most exciting thing happening in Melbourne at the moment?
Well, it was until tomorrow night.
But anyway, apparently there's like 200 real artefacts in this exhibition
and they were all recovered by a French
explorer who
went down like a record
amount of times down to the Titanic
and unfortunately he passed
away on his 38th
dive in the
Ocean Gate. Talk about
tempting fate. Yeah.
Was he in that submarine?
I believe so, yeah. In the missing submarine
from last year? The Ocean Gate sub, yeah.
And it's all of his findings
and artefacts that are in this
exhibition. Anyway, I
was reading about it and
I found this fascinating
because they were talking about
how much tickets cost
back, obviously, when the Titanic
set sail. And you know, obviously, when the Titanic set sail.
And, you know, obviously for third class, second class, first class,
all that kind of thing.
And I've done a few calculations and I've done the math
as to how much would be the equivalent of what that ticket would be worth now.
Oh, yeah, okay.
So to put it into perspective, so a third-class passenger would have paid like $80 New Zealand.
Yeah, to sail from Ireland to America.
Yeah, third-class passenger.
So, these passengers shared a cabin with three other people
that were strangers or they could have been people that they knew.
And they also shed two bathrooms for more than 700 third-class passengers.
Okay, yeah.
But it does say here people bathing was less frequent back in those days.
So it wasn't as big a deal.
Anyway, for that ticket, the equivalent price today,
so $80 back in the day, these days it would be about five grand.
Wow.
Yeah, for third class.
To be stuck down there.
For third class passengers.
So that would have been, I wonder if Leo DiCaprio would have been
like a third class passenger.
Yeah, he was.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I would want a life raft for five grand.
I don't think they got a life raft.
No.
So let's go, let's talk about, I don't know if I've got this,
what the cost of the second class, but I do have,
the cost of the first-class ticket varied, but on average,
they reckon it was about $5,000 for a first-class ticket.
So the equivalent today would have been around $130,000.
$130,000 a ticket.
Like getting one of those Emirates flights where you get your own cabin
and you get access to a shower and things like that on the plane.
And they reckon that these first class tickets were like amazing.
Yeah.
Like they had all the bells and whistles.
Yeah.
Have you seen Titanic?
They had a gym, squash court, Turkish bath.
And there was also these more luxurious rooms.
They reckon there was like two or three of those rooms,
which would have been about $9,000 a ticket back in the day,
which is the equivalent of like $250,000.
Did they have Wi-Fi?
I think they did, yeah.
I think Titanic was pretty, you know, ahead of its time, as they said.
For $150,000, I want Wi-Fi.
You want Wi-Fi. You want Wi-Fi.
You want to talk to my partner the whole time?
That's an expensive cruise.
It better be all you can eat, including the drinks.
I better not die.
Bree and Clint.
Bree and Clint.
I said to you before that the UK at the moment are in the process of discussing legislation
which would make it a criminal offence to catcall.
That's catcalling, eh?
Or?
Oh, sorry.
What?
What do you think it was?
Not that catcalling.
Wait, did you think it was, eh, puss, puss, puss, puss?
That's the one they're talking about.
Wait, which one are you talking about?
I'm talking about, eh, puss, puss, puss, puss.
You thought it was that.
No, I was leading you on.
Oh.
Because I knew you would think it was that one.
But actually, I'm talking about calling cats.
Buzzy G.
What?
They're banning calling your cat.
Anyone who attempts to induce a cat.
That was so confusing, by the way.
I was all over the shop then.
I was like, I don't know what is going on.
Yeah, setting you up to knock you down. Right, I got it. Got it in the end. Yeah. Geez over the shop then. I was like, I don't know what is going on. Setting you up to knock you down.
I got it in the end.
I'm slow for a Thursday.
They're discussing legislation that says
if you induce a cat into your company,
you could be
breaking the pet abduction bill.
That's the law that they're trying to pass.
Everyone loves to pat a few stray
pussies every now and then.
I know.
Reach down, tickle a little puss on the side of the road.
It's the best part about living in the suburbs.
Like a puss jumps over the fence, you give it a little tickle.
The proposed law would make abducting a cat or dog punishable
by five years in prison or a fine.
What?
Or both.
Five years in prison?
That's the farry.
The law is for people who steal animals.
That's who they're targeting with us. I mean, that's different.
And I think they should go to prison, people who
steal other people's animals. But the risk
is that, yeah, your
neighbour's cat likes your house better
and starts hanging out at your house and your neighbour gets salty
about it. You feed her a little food. Yeah. And then they
call the cops and the cops, the SWAT team
comes in and they're like, bam!
Where's the pussy? Show us it!
Get on the ground.
Put it up in the air.
The law currently classifies pets as possessions.
So stealing them is the same as like stealing a phone or a wallet.
The new law would classify pets as sentient beings
capable of experiencing distress and emotional trauma.
So more like people.
So it'd be more like a kidnapping than a theft.
Pets do, I reckon.
Of course they do.
100% they feel trauma and stress and all of that.
Yeah, especially cats and dogs.
They're very intelligent.
But, I mean, if a cat jumps over the fence and you call it over
and you're giving it a little scratch on the belly,
and then you kind of, you know, cats do that.
That's something that cats do.
I mean, it's very different if you jump a fence
and go and take a dog back home into your yard,
play with the dog.
Very different.
You know, very different.
What's the world coming to, eh?
2024 and we can't even tickle a stranger's puss.
Yeah.
Bree and Clint.
That's us, everybody.
Thanks for another fun afternoon.
Congratulations to Katrina,
who scored our very last Taylor Swift double pass
to the Sydney Eras Tour.
She'll be having the best night tonight.
Can you imagine?
I would just be living my best life.
She's taking her flatmate, too.
Yeah, her best friend and flatmate,
who's also a mega, mega Swifty.
Yeah, so good.
Thanks to everyone who tried to get in the draw.
