Starting point is 00:00:00 Show requested, so here it is. As long as you've got da-da-da. It's ZM's Brean-Klin podcast. ZDem's Brean-Klint, thanks to KFC. Go, let's go. I think I met you in a dream last month. Zat M's Brean Clint. Back now you, baby, they were green.
Starting point is 00:00:18 Goody, everybody. Welcome to the Brea and Clint show with Clint and Bree for a change. I'm back, baby. She's back. So good to be back, guys. How are we? What have I missed? Oh, so much.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Not much happening in my world. I want to hear what's been going on here. Yeah, whatever you've been doing, just sitting around. Just chilling. You know, getting heaps of sleep. Pissing around. Catching up on my sleep, which has been nice. Just scrolling, I've heard.
Starting point is 00:00:41 Just doom scrolling the whole time. Yeah, for hours and hours. Loll, we're kidding. This is quite exciting. There's a big reveal of Bree's new baby on our Instagram page. Yes, a little video that Ella has put up. I think it might be the first video footage of Little Baby Toto to be released.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Yes, I think it is. Which is a huge get for our page. I really would have thought you would have done that personally. Yeah, but I, you know, this is family in here. Is it up, Ella? I think it's just gone up. It's up. So cute.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Yeah, Hittesidim's Bree and Clint to meet Toto. So cute. I want to say he's got my eyes, but you can have a look at the video. Yeah. He's herey. He's Italian. Yeah. He's your son.
Starting point is 00:01:26 He's definitely my son. Actually, he looks a little bit Scottish, actually. Quite big. Big head for a baby. He does have a big head. At Brian Clint on Instagram, okay? Go and watch the video. And like the page, by the way, because if we get to 100,000 before the end of the week,
Starting point is 00:01:41 did you know Ella's going to score free Alex Warren tickets? I saw this all going down yesterday. How did you wrangle that, Ella? Clint's just being nice. Are you doing deals with the bosses again? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's gone to Ella's head straight away, though. She's sent us a DM this morning.
Starting point is 00:01:57 No! Okay, guys. Okay, I really want to get this 100. grand. I'm thinking about releasing nudes on the Brian Clinton Instagram page. Clint goes, love the enthusiasm. Please, no nude.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Are they your own nudes? Because we're not releasing no nudes again. We've been asking Ella to get our page over 100 grand for like a year. And now that there's free Alex Warren tickets, she's willing to get the bloody who haze out. I've never seen you more motivated. Why not? For the people.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Am I right? For the people. More like for your own benefit. Multiple reasons to go and check out the Brianclin Instagram. So many things going on. Lots happening. Tosses at 4 o'clock. It'll be your first tosses. You need to practice your toss because you will be on tossing duty. Okay. I feel like I'm an old hat at this.
Starting point is 00:02:40 I've tossed plenty of times in my lifetime. Yeah, you're a massive tosser. Yeah. One of the biggest. So I feel like I'm born for this game. You were saying it's all in the wrist. Yeah, I did get RSI that one time. Oh, over tossing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:56 It was on that ski trip to Whistler. I'm skiing. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Right, should we get into Trady versus ladies? I think we should. I think that's for the best. 69 tradies, 63 ladies.
Starting point is 00:03:14 A round about that. We'll double-check that score, but that's approximately what it is. What isn't approximate is the amount of money up for grabs? 50 bucks cash thanks to KFC, and if you want it, you can call us now. Play Z&M's Bree and Clint. That's the latest Alex Warren on ZM with Brean Clint. It's called Rescuer. He's coming.
Starting point is 00:03:34 I thought the tickets that we had up for grabs are for the Auckland Town Hall. They're not. They're for Spark Arena. It's the big show. And you can score them if you like the Brian Clinton Instagram page and comment on the Alex Warren video. You'll see it on there. It's up there.
Starting point is 00:03:47 You could get tickets. And more importantly, if we hit our goal, Ella will get two free tickets. You're so gunning for this, aren't you? Yeah, I'm a massive fan. I've been watching him for a while. God, why haven't we motivated her with tickets to things before this? I know. We could have achieved so much.
Starting point is 00:04:03 I haven't been tried. I mean... We could have won a radio award years ago. Years ago, it could have happened. Claudia, what do we need to motivate you? What's it going to take? I'll take cash money, please. Yeah, I know you will.
Starting point is 00:04:14 She's smart. Bree's back. It's been three weeks since Little Baby Toto arrived and three weeks of being at home in your baby bubble. So we've got to know, how's it been? How's it going? How's the family? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:27 God, it's a real whirlwind being back. And I feel like the last three weeks, weeks have been amazing, like have been so special. My mum's been here, which has been really awesome to have her around and create memories with her. But it's been, yeah, what a crazy wild experience that overnight my whole world has just changed instantly. Look, I didn't like sleep anyway. I didn't like it. I think it's overrated. Sleep, whatever. I'm I will report that Toto is definitely my son, and there is a big reason that I know he's my son.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Fletulence. He's got so much gas in him. Yeah. God, he farts like a trooper. It's because he's eating heats. Yeah, he's, he guzzles it. We call him the truffle pig. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Because he just, not the guzzler. He just, whenever he gets close to my fiancé, my fiance, Sapphire, and he smells the milk. It's just just give me the milk. Do you get jealous and ever think about like smearing some milk on you so that he'll be like give you more attention? It is one of those weird things where you do feel like a little bit like, oh.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Redundant. Redundant. Like what am I here to do? You are there to make cups of tea and support her. 100%. That's what I've been doing. Yeah. Just everything that I can do.
Starting point is 00:05:55 But yeah, it's been amazing. Like I couldn't have asked for anything better. Like it just, it feels so, so cool. Have you guys left the house as a family yet? We have. We've left quite a few times actually. Our auntie, my fiancé, her auntie had her birthday and that was the first out where we all went out just around the corner. He slept the whole time, which was good.
Starting point is 00:06:21 And just as he was about to kick off, we were like, oh, look, time to leave. You now have the perfect excuse to not only leave something to not go at all. Like you can, you can now, you can cancel 10 minutes before. You can go, so sorry guys, we didn't make it out the door. You understand. Mm-hmm. I realize this. Not forever, just for a little bit.
Starting point is 00:06:45 But just for a bit. And, yeah, it's, I never thought I would finally get to this place in my life where I was a mum. Mm-hmm. And to finally have that feeling where you're like, oh, this is my son. And I just miss him so much. Like even like coming into work today, I know that sounds so lame. But like I miss him. Like, and I just have so much unconditional love like straight away as soon as I met him.
Starting point is 00:07:20 And I was just kind of like, this is just everything I thought it was going to be and more. That's good. And it helps when he is screaming. Not everybody gets it straight away. Yeah. It's interesting. And some people listening to this will go, oh, that's, and they'll feel bad because not everybody gets the overwhelming love thing straight away.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Like sometimes, it happened for me, but sometimes it takes time to build, which is totally okay as well. It's just fine, yeah. But that's so good to hear that you've got it and the things are going well. It helps when he's screaming bloody murder at 3am. I'll tell you that. Yeah, you've got to call on that, that massive well of undying love. You are lucky.
Starting point is 00:07:55 You are cute. How are you feeling about your support network, I'm a die going home tomorrow. Not great. No. It's pretty overwhelming. And anyone who... Because the trainer wheels are coming off.
Starting point is 00:08:05 100%. You're like, oh, it's just going to be us. And, you know, like my mum is... She's raised three babies. She's done it before. She's pretty knowledgeable. She's got grandkids. She got grandkids.
Starting point is 00:08:15 And so having her there as a support, but it's literally just going to be me, my fiancé, Sophia, and our son, Toto in the house. And producer Ella, you know she's ready to babysit at the drop of a hat. Like I won't be crazy keen, but I'm here if you need. You know what I mean? She's crazy, Kate. No, yeah, you're crazy.
Starting point is 00:08:33 She offered to breastfeed. No, Clint, that was an off-year chance. Ella. I'm not sure she 100% knows how it works, but... We are in... It's the offer that counts. I mean... We are in the market for a wet nurse, so...
Starting point is 00:08:46 Oh, yeah, well! ZDM's Bree and Clint podcast. The Night of Nights for Australian television went down on Sunday night, the lowies. And they love the loggies. Oogie's over there? Yeah, they go all out. Yeah. They go absolutely all out.
Starting point is 00:09:02 New Zealand's own Melanie Bracewell was there. And New Zealand's own Guy Montgomery, from Guy Montgomery's Guy Montgomery's Guy Mount Spelling Bee was there. Kiwis doing big things in Aussie TV. And New Zealand's own South African, Ursula Carlson, was there? Oh, was she? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Full of Kiwis. Full of Kiwis. We're taken over. At the Logies. One of the really cool things I did see was Sir Sam Neal. won a Logie. Oh yeah. For Best Actor, he won the Best Actor Award for that show that I really love.
Starting point is 00:09:35 It's called The Twelve. He won the Best Actor Award. That's nice. He is one that we are happy to share with the Aussies because I feel that Ozzy's love Sam Neal as much as Kiwis. Yeah. But who doesn't love Sam Neal? I know. Another interesting thing I saw that they were discussing throughout the night at the Logies
Starting point is 00:09:54 was what is the greatest. Aussie TV show ever. Great question. And they kept putting forward different suggestions and voting. And they finally got their top three greatest Aussie TV shows of all time. High five. I mean, obviously. The Wiggles.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Duh. The Aussie version of Play School. Wait. We've got a Kiwi one, yeah. Do you? Yeah. Yeah, we had Play School too. Buzzy G.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Because I mean Play School, iconic. Bluey. I mean, yeah. Bluey was in the mix. Bluey was discussed. Oh, oh, oh, home and away, obviously. Okay. That's not my real list.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Because I've actually got a really good one on my list. Okay. Do you want to hear some of the ones that were being discussed for the greatest Aussie TV show of all time at the Logies? It was Blue Healers. That's on my list. Is it? There you go.
Starting point is 00:10:49 I mean, McLeod's daughters, obviously. Blue Heel is such a good show. I'm showing my age a bit, but. Fantastic show. Fantastic show. police drama, I guess. Went for years and years and years. Pack to the Rafters was on the list.
Starting point is 00:11:05 All Saints and a bunch of others. Water rats. Water rats. Jay LaGai. Oh, so good. Let's round the room. What are you putting forward for the greatest Aussie TV show of all time? I had Blue Healers.
Starting point is 00:11:20 And then I know it's not that old and it's only three seasons. Yeah. But Colin from Accounts is a very. very good Australian television show. I have to agree. Yeah. It's very funny. The last season is on TVNZ at the moment, the final season.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Yes. That's a good suggestion. Claude. No one said Catherine Kim yet. Yeah, I was leaving it for Brie. Oh, well that one's clearly the greatest. Yeah, thanks for taking mine. I also had Colin from Accounts and the Crocodile Hunter.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Oh, Steve Irwin. Wow. That's a great choice. Oh, who dares? With Mike Whitney. Yeah, and tenure? Yeah. Ella, what's the greatest Australian television show of all time?
Starting point is 00:12:00 I don't know if it's cancelled, but when I watched it, I enjoyed it, summer heights. Very good. Yeah. Yeah. It was enormous. It was so big, the Chris Lilly show. The top three, I mean, I would put forward Wentworth, I think, has to be in the mix.
Starting point is 00:12:17 I've never watched Wentworth. My dad loves it. Does it? Yeah. Really? It's kind of like the Aussie oranges the new black. If you can picture that. It's very good though.
Starting point is 00:12:29 It's very good. The top three, though, according to this survey, was coming in at number three, a country practice. Okay. Which, yep. Number two, home and away. You kind of have to for longevity, right?
Starting point is 00:12:45 Oh, number one's going to be... What do you think number one's going to be? It's going to be neighbours. And number one, the greatest Aussie TV show of all time. It's noise. different. It's unusual. It's Catherine Cuban. Oh, thank God. It's a great pick. Now I feel
Starting point is 00:13:01 bad for neighbours. Didn't even make the top of their own. God, kick them while they're down. First they get cancelled, then Clint from ZM. Bagging them on air. ZD. Franklin. The tea. Live from L.A. with Dean McCarthy. Dean's here. Dean,
Starting point is 00:13:17 Bree's back. Hi, Dean. Hi, Bree. Welcome back. I've missed you, Mama. Welcome home, Mama. I've missed you too. I've got to call him. I've always called him Daddy. I've missed you too, Daddy. Yeah, Daddy, Daddy, Daddy. Hey, Dean, this is, this story's horrible.
Starting point is 00:13:35 It broke yesterday, but can you give us the latest information about this tragic passing of Hayden Panetteer? Yes, it's really devastating, actually. So she's passed away at the age of 36, and today we've learned a bit more about the devastating death. She had a cardiac arrest is what they released, and when she was found unresponsive, and obviously they tried to revive her, but that is actually the official cause of death. Lots of celebrities have come out today and support Paris Hilton just posted a slideshow of photos on her Instagram, you know, sharing her condolences.
Starting point is 00:14:08 In fact, many, many celebrities in Hollywood today are coming out because it was such a devastating loss. Hayden had shared over the last year, I saw some really incredible interviews she had with like Jay Shetty and things like that, talking about different struggles that she has had. and it's their heartbreaking to watch if you go back and watch her interview with Jay Shady you will be heartbroken so it's just a devastating sorry, 36 years old
Starting point is 00:14:32 Yeah, she's not had an easy life She's opened up about a lot of her struggles One of the most devastating things I saw about this was her dad released the information About her passing Within 24 hours, he put out a statement And I imagine that's because She has been so hounded by media outlets
Starting point is 00:14:48 And paparazzi over the course of her life That he's like, well I just have to get ahead of this before the speculation starts, even after his daughter has just died. Yeah. I can't even imagine that because they also lost their son three years ago, her brother. He was 28, I think. Yeah, he was so young. And she talks about quite extensively in that Jay Shetty interview how incredibly hard it's been for her
Starting point is 00:15:14 because her and her brother were incredibly close. And, I mean, she just released her memoir. that's all the press that she was doing. So when you message me this yesterday, I was like, oh, 36 years old. She's so young and so sad. That is the T with D. McCut. Z-N's Brian Clint.
Starting point is 00:15:35 If you want to see the first video of Baby Toto, it's up on the Bree and Clinton Instagram page right now. Exclusive. Hashtag exclusive. That video of Baby Toto. He's grown up so fast, hasn't he? He's just changing so much. You wouldn't think he was three?
Starting point is 00:15:51 weeks old. He is very handsome. Very handsome boy. If you do say so yourself. Go and see the video. You'll understand what I mean. Did you serve a big spender? There's a real estate agent by the name of Paul Nishawshan, I think. Nishawshan. Paul Nishawshin. He's Auckland real estate agent. He's well established now, but he's talked about his first week on the job. Okay. When he dealt with a big spender. So he's just signed on as a real estate agent. Just got his license.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Just got the shoes. And who? Who did he serve? And the suit? And the business cards. And at his branch... Who did he tell to take their shoes off? No, they walked into the branch looking to buy a house.
Starting point is 00:16:40 A person who had just won lotto. Really? So he's a brand new real estate agent. First week on the job. And someone walks in with $30 million. Oh. to spend. That is the dream client.
Starting point is 00:16:56 This is a person who has just come into money. Wow. And I guess they've heard the saying, safe as houses. And they're like, well, I guess I'll buy some houses. I'll buy a couple of them. The dream. You're the new guy and you're like, okay, yep, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:17:10 We can do this. I now exclusively work for you. I will find you any house that you want. Even if the house is not for sale, I'll find a way for you to buy it. Imagine he'd just be like, this real estate stuff, piece of cake. I don't know what they're talking about. Easiest job in the world.
Starting point is 00:17:27 He ended up selling this person several houses in Auckland and Queenstown. Really? Yeah, because $30 million, you don't just get one house. No, you're buying a couple. You're getting a few houses. 100%. The dream. And that's why I wanted to ask people this afternoon, did you serve a big spender?
Starting point is 00:17:45 I have a friend who worked. I'm just trying to, should I name the place that they used to work? They don't work there anymore, so it should be fine. They used to work at Louis Vuitton. Oh, okay. Louis Vuitton in Auckland. On Queen Street? Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:04 Yeah. And a very high profile person came in one time. What field? A rapper. Oh, international high profile. Yes. Oh, I know the story. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:17 You can name the person. The person that came. came in was 50 cent, came in with his whole entourage and... I think he was here for our gig, wasn't he? Yeah, it could have been. He was here for Zidiam's Friday Jans. Yeah, I think so. I think.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Took in his whole entourage. Yeah. And apparently he made his whole entourage pick out a silk shirt and then bought his whole entourage a silk shirt each. Nothing more scucks than rocking up to the club where the whole crew is wearing the same Louis Vuitton silk shirt. Apparently he dropped like 30K. Wow!
Starting point is 00:18:55 Yeah. It was just like boom, 30K. And I imagine if you work in Louis Vuitton there's a commission element. I believe so. I don't know. I don't know either. I'm assuming. But I imagine you're not on $26 an hour.
Starting point is 00:19:06 No. You know? So when you see Fiddy coming, you're like, I want a piece of that. Did you serve a big spender? Do you work in a car dealership and Israel Adisanya walked in? Because he's got a McLaren. I'll have that car. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:20 He bought his McLaren after one of his big fights. He would have paid all cash. Yeah. I don't think Israel Adi Sanja's McLaren is on higher purchase. Do you think you've got a GE money genie? You never know. Maybe you got a good deal. Do you work in a bar or a restaurant and there's this crazy expensive bottle of wine that no one ever buys?
Starting point is 00:19:41 But then someone came in and they were like, oh, special occasion, I'll have that. Yeah, it doesn't have to be a famous person. I'll have that. Yeah. They don't have to be famous. It's like that time, remember I told you that story about when I was at the Melbourne casino and my friend and I, we stumbled into this private room. There was heaps of people in there.
Starting point is 00:19:59 It looked like a work function. Stumble being the operative word. We definitely stumbled. But we were, you know, young in our 20s. And these guys, a lot of men, all probably, I would say, in their 50s. And we got to talk into a few people and there was this one guy. And we were like, we should get champagne. We should drink champagne.
Starting point is 00:20:19 And we were trying to convince this guy. And he was like, yeah, we should get champagne. And I was like, you should buy the magnum. You should buy the magnum bottle of champagne. And this guy's like, yeah, all right. Would you think I was cool if I bought the magnum? And I was like, definitely $1,200. It was a $1,200 bottle of champagne.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Popped it. And then my friend, you couldn't script it. She goes, oh, this isn't very nice. Oh, my God. Yuck. Got me cruis us. Their name's Bray and Clint, podcast. So we want to know, did you serve a big spender?
Starting point is 00:20:55 David's here. Hey, David. Hi, David. Hey. Hello, hello from IHeart Radio. I'm listening to you on IHeart. Oh, my goody. Aren't we here in the world are you?
Starting point is 00:21:03 Whereabouts are you? I'm in Hastings. Oh, Hastings, New Zealand. Exactly. You don't have to go far to listen to use it, so it works for me. No, you're right. It's just with the app and the accent, we assumed that you were calling in from like Montreal or something.
Starting point is 00:21:19 David? No, just right here in New Zealand, but with the accents right, I used to live in the US. Yeah, there we go. You said, David, you used to work for a big spender. Yeah, look, more than a couple of years ago, I worked for a really, very wealthy family that I thought were millionaires. Okay. I realize now they were probably billionaires. Wow. And what makes you say that? Because they had more money than they could ever spend. Would they get you to go and make purchases for them, David?
Starting point is 00:21:52 Yeah, look, one time I was flying through, they were flying through an airport and they saw a roadster, custom-made roadster, and they came in and they said, oh, look, we want that car. And I said, where was it? And they said, well, it's in Minneapolis. And it's, X, you know, like 50 grand. And they said, oh, I said, okay, well, are you going to drive it? And they said, no, no, it's from my nephew. It's his 16th birthday present.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Wow. What? Wow. And we want you to put it in a container and ship it halfway around the world. And which we did. So, yeah, 50 grand American Express card. Away you go. Well, on the card?
Starting point is 00:22:31 On the card. Wow. Holy smokes. Any other big purchases you can remember? Well, probably the other one that was really amazing is that these guys had their own private jet. And the wife was complaining that she had, smelled this perfume in Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. And she wanted it.
Starting point is 00:22:53 But they didn't sell it in the town that we were in. Yeah. And so they said, well, go and get it. And she goes, I don't want to go to Beverly Hills. And they said, well, just bring the girl here. So we flew the perfume lady from Beverly Hills with her whole boxes of perfume on our private jet. So we flew the jet down. Flew the jet back up.
Starting point is 00:23:18 So the jet would have flew with no one in it. Exactly. So four trips on a jet, private jet, and the wife... For a bottle of perfume? No, no, she bought two. Bring the girl here as the richest sentence I've ever heard anybody utter. Just bring her to me. Just bring her to me.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Yeah. She got a really big tip and probably, the bottle of perfume was close to $100,000 a bottle. Wow. David, see, David, how did you leave that detail out? This is a world that Brie and I don't understand. Yeah, me either. I was not aware, but you've been exposed to it.
Starting point is 00:24:01 I was not aware that there were bottles of perfume that could cost $100,000. No, I think the perfume was only about $15,000 or $20,000 a bottle. Only the cost for her to get it. Oh, I understand what you mean. She ended up paying about $100,000 to get the bottle. Well, you definitely get two then because then you have the cost, don't you? Yeah. Well, I'm sure that's what she can, she told her husband.
Starting point is 00:24:22 And look, and money was not, and Bill is not an issue for the family. So clearly they had so much money, like just disgusting amount of money where they had no real concept of what things cost or like, you know, the value of things. And they just, they wouldn't have been able to spend it all in their lifetime, clearly. Exactly. They couldn't spend it. But they were the nicest, loveliest people. and they would do pretty much anything for anybody who was honest and legal.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Did they give you anything nice? No, they gave me my walking papers. They said let you know too much, goodbye. This sounds like a whole podcast episode. David from Hastings, fascinating. Thank you for the insight. So interesting. You're back.
Starting point is 00:25:08 There's a few texts from people who have served big spenders, but they don't really compare to that. Yeah, that one's pretty outrageous. The only other thing I can think of, because I'm trying to think of stories people have told me, look, someone that is very close to me worked on a super yacht where she said the amount of money
Starting point is 00:25:27 that these people had, like they would wash their hands with crystal. That is ridiculous. Apparently that used to happen on this super yacht. Your hands wouldn't even be clean. They'd be sticky. They don't understand. money or hand washing.
Starting point is 00:25:46 The ZDM Podcast Network. Everyone wants to know how much David from Hastings was getting paid from the billionaire family. Yes, if David is still listening on the IHeart radio app, can you text us and tell us how much? We'll only tell the people that listen to ZDX. Yeah, that's a promise. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to get classical next. It's me and you versus producer Ella.
Starting point is 00:26:12 We're back. We are back, baby. The good guys are back. Take it on the villain Of the Bree and Clint show You're the villains I'm watching Spider-Man a lot I'm Spider-Man
Starting point is 00:26:23 And you guys are the losers We are Spider-Man You're the Green Goblin We're Spider-Man and Spider-Girlin How dare you say I'd be Goblin Which one's Spider-Girl Of you two Um
Starting point is 00:26:34 Brie Why? Well because I've got the I've got the problem with the suit I've got the thing going on downstairs with the suit I'm very clearly Spider-Man Oh my true Okay
Starting point is 00:26:43 You tell yourself that And Ella is that robot with the snake arms. Oh, Doc Ock! Yeah, you're Doc Ock. I'll take it. So you've got to choose. You can text Spider-Man
Starting point is 00:26:56 or Doc Ock to 9696. That will tell us which team you support and let's get classical. And if you have supported the winning team, you're in to win 50 KFC chicken dollars. It's ZAM's Bree and Clint podcast. We've heard from David from Hastings, by the way, about how much he got paid working for the billionaires.
Starting point is 00:27:15 He said, David here, it was my first job out of university. I was 25 years old. I was on $28,000 a year. But the time I finished, I was on $35,000 a year. They did not get rich by paying people too much. Clearly. In a weird part of the story, one month after starting working for them,
Starting point is 00:27:34 I was required to go on the road to a very important business meeting. They gave me $10,000 in cash as my daily per diem to spend. What? What? They wanted to make sure that the clients never had any doubt that they were able to fund anything that they mentioned.
Starting point is 00:27:52 They wanted to give me more than $10,000, but I was terrified of getting mugged. I was carrying half of my annual salary in cash. I was just about to say that's pretty much nearly your whole salary. Crazy money was nothing to them except when it came to payroll. That's so interesting. We always talk about an uncle of mine who's very rich And similar vibes
Starting point is 00:28:22 And they always say, you know, rich people stay rich for a reason Because they're tight. Yeah. Yeah. They're tight where they're tight and they... Spend where they spend. Yeah, this is your uncle that has a Ferrari in the living room. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Yeah. It's one of seven, several Ferraris. No big deal. No. Yeah, but his wife is on a weekly allowance of $150. Bring and Clint. Classic. Go out to dinner.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Right, are we splitting this? Five ways. Well, actually, I didn't have any of the entree. Or a drink. I didn't have a drink. All right, Spider-Man and Spider-Girl versus Doc Ock. And let's get classical today. Good guys versus bad guys.
Starting point is 00:29:05 We are good guys. You like to think that. Ella is bad guys. Can you allocate me a character as well? I feel left out. Yeah, you are James Franco. I was going to say she's MJ. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Yeah. She's the love interest. I'll be MJ. I don't want to be James Franco. I'll be MJ. MJ is weird so that fits. You and I get to upside down kiss. Oh.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Actually, maybe I'm James Frank. Claudia is in charge. Let's play the game. Let's get into it. This is Let's Get Classical. It is pop songs reimagined in a classical style. And you guys are guessing what they are. Buzz in with your name.
Starting point is 00:29:36 Artist, name a song. You know the deal. Are we ready? Ready. Here's your first song. Fate of Aphelia. Taylor Swift. Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Tamara, I knew that. Well done. I was nowhere. Didn't even have a spidey sense on that one. Yeah, you're shaking in your boots now. Mine were tingling. I think that's that rash you've got, though. Spandex.
Starting point is 00:30:09 All right, one point for the bag, guys. Okay, here's another one. She could win it right now. Umbrella, Rihanna. No. She's done it. She's done it. I had that one as well.
Starting point is 00:30:30 I had that one. Yeah, he didn't. But it wasn't as fast as you do. I did. Do you know why? Because I'm all about Tom Holland at the moment and I've been watching his performance doing the umbrella dance. Oh, lip-sync battle.
Starting point is 00:30:41 Yeah. I got it. Ariana, you backed Doc Ock and the bad guys have won, so you get 50 KFC chicken dollars. Really good. Why'd you go for her? I don't know. The bad guys always win.
Starting point is 00:30:59 And that is a great life lesson from Ariana. And that's a nice song as well. Always win. Ella. Ella. Yeah, it was meant to be. A ZM's Brinklin podcast. We need to talk about this competition that I've come across.
Starting point is 00:31:17 And I feel like we need to send a representative next year. Oh, okay. So the competition takes place at the Iowa State Fair, which happens once a year. And this went down last week on August the 13th, which just so happens to be my mum's birthday. Oh, interesting. Which coincidence, I think not. Yeah. The competition I'm talking about is the annual chicken calling contest.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Mm-hmm. And not only is it that, it's ladies only for this particular one. Chicks calling checks. Exactly. Yeah. Look. But a check on check action. Sorry, it's low hanging fruit.
Starting point is 00:32:03 I've grabbed the audio of the women that place first, second and third to see what we're up against. And here comes third place. Wow, that was only good enough for third. That's what I thought. Wow. And then I was like, God, I need to hear who got the silver. Yeah, I get it. And you can see why.
Starting point is 00:32:48 I get it. It's a step up. But then obviously, first place was in a league of their own. Very good. I can't split them, to be honest. They're all so good. I mean, it's splitting hairs. They're all obviously very talented.
Starting point is 00:33:12 If you've just joined us, that was the first, second and third place in the Iowa State Fair chicken calling contest. And it took place on my mum's birthday, August 13th. And I think my mum actually would be the best person to send over next year. She could be our representative. Because my mum, I feel like, has the pipes for this. Hello, Mum. Hi guys, how are you going?
Starting point is 00:33:39 I think this might be a G-up. It's on my birthday. Yeah, I know. It's on your birthday. Crazy coincidence, hey. Written in the stars, I might say. Destiny. Meant to be.
Starting point is 00:33:50 We've gotten you to call Big Steve on the show before, so we know that you've got the talents, but we're wondering if you could give us a bit of an audition for the chicken calling contest here this afternoon. I reckon I could have a go. I might frighten the dogs here, but I might have a go. ZDM's willing to sponsor you, but we need to know what we're purchasing first. So die.
Starting point is 00:34:13 I'm going to die when you're ready. Do you please give us your best chicken call? Okay. Chikikikik, check, check. Where's that? Audio book the flights. We found our check. I reckon I've found a talent.
Starting point is 00:35:07 So do we. Play ZDems, Brie and Clint. I was catching out with a friend last week. And she was telling me about a situation that was happening at her workplace. And she asked my opinion. She was like, what do you think is appropriate in this situation? And I thought, I said to her, I was like, let me put it to the people. Let me put it to my team here at the Brancel show.
Starting point is 00:35:29 And we can gather, you know, some results for you. Sure. So the question was, so apparently at her workplace, a colleague of hers, recently took a couple of days leave. Okay. And there was a reason why that person took a couple of days leave. And it's because a pet of theirs had passed away. Oh.
Starting point is 00:35:52 And obviously very upsetting. I said to her, and I mean, I do feel like what type of pet should come into it. Okay. Like I don't know if you should be taking two days if it's a goldfish. Oh, okay, I see what you mean. But I mean, am I being judgmental? Yeah, are you? And so I asked her, I said, what?
Starting point is 00:36:15 And what is the sliding scale? Yeah, you know, but then I guess it's hard because... What's the hierarchy of dead pets? Exactly. I asked her, I said, well, in this scenario, what was the pet? And she said in this scenario, it was a horse. Oh! A horse, a horse that the person apparently had owned for 10 years plus.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Oh, my gosh. God, people have a true spiritual connection with their horse, don't they? Oh, yeah. Big time. I think it's good you can look at it at eye level. Yeah, there's something about... There's something about seeing eye to eye with an animal. Yeah, it's something about the aura that horses have.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Yeah, horse aura. Yeah. Um, okay. Horror. Yeah, horror. Should have thought about that before I said up. No, that's the word for horse aura. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:37:09 Yeah. It's the horror of the horse. Who's that Sky Sports presenter? Horror McHondry. That's different. That's different. Laura, that's Laura. Laura, Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Okay, right. Easy mix up though. Sorry, I was getting my, I'm getting confused. Easy mix up. I'm fine with two days for a dead horse. Are you? I think it's fine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:39 You said this has happened in our team. This has happened in our team. Who took a day off? I believe. and correct me if I'm wrong, I could have gotten this wrong, but I believe at some point, producer Ella,
Starting point is 00:37:53 lost a guinea pig. Oh. What's that? Did I really take leave for that? And I believe you took a couple of days leave. To be fair, it was a pregnant guinea pig and five of the babies died and the mom. It was horrific.
Starting point is 00:38:09 It was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I watched the guinea pig mom die in my arms. Didn't you draw my herself for your guinea pig? Yeah, I sang Pucati-Cariana and everyone laughed. I also think it is important to ask how long you'd had the guinea pig. Stephanie. How long had you had Stephanie? Maybe a couple of months.
Starting point is 00:38:35 No, I believe. Stephanie, the pregnant guinea pig pig. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe you'd had her for two weeks. Oh, yeah. I bought her pregnant, that's right. Coming all back to me. You didn't know that she was pregnant when you bought her. I thought you got a bargain, you thought you got five for one.
Starting point is 00:38:50 It was awful. They looked like little dead sausage. Okay. All right, I don't want to be insensitive either. Yeah, come on. Two days for guinea pigs too much. I feel like that's more a one day. I think I took a day.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Just one. I believe you took a Thursday Friday. Oh, you would have like Ella. I think Claudius. I remember going home and talking to my partner about it going, do you think this is like appropriate? Stephanie the guinea pig Someone just texted and said more like
Starting point is 00:39:22 Stephanie She was She's in my backyard Which I mean one day I would be Claudia took one day for her cat When it passed Did I hope so
Starting point is 00:39:32 Which that's appropriate One day for a cat Two days for a guinea pig Yeah two days for a guinea pig That you own for two weeks Is taking the piss a little bit I think Okay sorry It was traumatic
Starting point is 00:39:42 Because the neighbour's dog came in and scared the pregnant guinea pig mom and that's how she died of fright. I came to work the afternoon after putting my cat down. Oh. Yeah, you did. You did. You did. Yeah. You deserve a medal for that one. Thank you. Push those feelings down.
Starting point is 00:40:00 And he so did too. He was just like, yeah, I mean, yeah, it's not like we spent thousands on her trying to keep her alive for the past three years. I don't know what I'm going to post on her Instagram account anymore. What's the question that you want to ask? The question is, what is the appropriate amount of time of leave to take for a dead
Starting point is 00:40:22 pet? Okay. That's my question. Yeah. And is, does it, is it circumstantial? Is it pet specific? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Do your personal experience? Yeah. How much did you take off when your pet passed away? Or maybe a colleague? Or a colleague, no, when a colleague passed away. No, no, no, if a colleague took time off if they're pet passed away. Right, okay. Like, is there a circumstance where a colleague had a pet pass away and you were like, oh, they're taking the piss a little bit? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:48 And what was the animal? Like, was it an axle? As we've learned, the animal is important. Which, I mean, sucks for the pets. You know, like a goldfish would be pretty sad to hear. Oh, flush and go, though. Different. ZDM's Bree and Clint Podcast.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Excuse the pun, we've ruffled some feathers with this question. We sure have. The question is, how many days have lived? do you get when an animal dies? Mm-hmm. And does it depend on the type of animal? Yeah, which I think it does. I think it depends on the type of animal
Starting point is 00:41:22 and how long you've had that animal. People have said that we're wrong for saying that, but it does matter on the type of connection that you have with the animal. And you could argue that you can't have a true bond with parakeet. Oh, careful. The bird community will come from me. But you can't have that kind of connection with a tropical.
Starting point is 00:41:42 fish. Oh yeah. Can you hug a fish? No, but I don't have a fish. Yeah, we can't comment. That's all we've gone to the people. This person wants to be anonymous. Hi Anonymous.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Hi Anonymous. Hey, James. How many days of leave when a pet dies, Anonymous? If it was my dog that I've had, I got gifted the litter a few years back. So I have had my dog since he was born. Yeah. Okay. But I had a co-worker who was supposed to be working.
Starting point is 00:42:12 basically the whole week with me, texts me on the Monday saying, hey, my family dog in Auckland has just passed away. I can't work because they had to get an emergency flight back to Auckland to go to their, like, childhood dog's funeral. And they text me on the Monday
Starting point is 00:42:27 and didn't end up coming back to work on the Tuesday. Wait, the following Tuesday? So they had two days off or a whole week in a day? A whole week in a day. Right. No, no, no. Okay, there's mitigating circumstances, though.
Starting point is 00:42:41 this is the childhood family dog. Okay, so it's your whole childhood. And also there's travel involved. Two of those days were travel days. So that's... I mean, Anonymous, I don't know how you feel. I feel like that's taking the piss a little bit. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:42:56 I was like, I'm not going to hate. You just had like your family dog passed away. Yeah. The coworker cried to me about it. And I was like, yeah, yeah. How many days are you happy with Anonymous? Go on, slap a number on it. I think depending on the situation with me with my dog, I'd probably take two days either side.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Two days. Thursday, Thursday, Friday or like a Monday, Tuesday. Well, you can't choose which day the dog dies anonymous. Just so you have like a nice long, long weekend. Schedule the dog to die. Maybe on the Thursday before Easter. Unfortunately, sometimes you can. Oh, yeah, you can actually.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Cody's here. Hi, Cody. Hi, Cody. Hi, guys. How you doing? Good, thanks. Just to be clear, your dog is still alive, but you have thoughts on this? Yeah, yeah, my dog's still alive.
Starting point is 00:43:38 But, like, my dog's my best friend. Yeah, totally. Absolutely. Part of the family. Okay. Yeah, like, we're not going to have kids, me and my partner. And so our dog's pretty much like our little babies. Yeah, we're hearing a lot of that, Cody, and we appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:43:54 I understand that. So what do you think is the appropriate amount of time? And let's not talk about your baby passing away. But when that day does eventually come, what is the appropriate amount of time you think to take off work? Man, come at me. Two weeks. Okay. No, I like it.
Starting point is 00:44:13 It's bold. Thank you, Cody. Anonymous number two is here. Hi, Anonymous. Hi. How long did your colleague take off when their rabbit died? One week. How long had they had the rabbit?
Starting point is 00:44:25 Do you know? Like, it wasn't a super old rabbit. It was a young rabbit. Okay. But it was sudden. Gone too soon. Was it like traumatic circumstances? I think it's.
Starting point is 00:44:38 just died. I think that's what rabbits do. Big rabbit? I don't know why that matters, but I feel like the size is important. Big rabbit? Big lop-eared rabbit? It was a little one and they could have it in the house. Oh, regular rubber. A whole week? Feels up there for me. It does feel a bit
Starting point is 00:44:54 up there. Someone takes through and I feel like this is quite an important question we need to discuss. It's a leave for a pet death. Are we talking annual leave or bereavement leave? Well, you can use your bereavement leave, but then if Nan dies, you have to flick over to your annual leave?
Starting point is 00:45:09 What if you don't have any nans left? Oh yeah, then fill your boots. I feel like it's appropriate to use bereavement leave if a pet dies. We've got a range of opinions on this. Someone said anything more than a day for a dead pet is ridiculous. Unless you watch them die and then you can have a trauma day too. Okay, very specific. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:45:28 I see what they're saying. Someone said, um, this text says, I have a fish and I don't give a single shit about it. single shit. Not dead, but my workmate took two days off because her guinea pig had separation anxiety. That, no. No. How do you know the guinea pig's got sick?
Starting point is 00:46:01 That's crazy. Oh, sorry, our resident guinea pig mum has re-entered the chat. Yes, Ella? I can tell when they're anxious. They are a little sad things. I'm not saying that they don't get anxious. Of course they do. But to take two days off.
Starting point is 00:46:14 I had a pet magpie for years. When she passed, I took a week off. A week for a magpie is going to get, it's going to be hard to get past HR. But I mean, let's say you had the magpie for 10 plus years. It doesn't help that it's not an animal people like. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:32 Do you understand? I know what you're saying. Yeah, if you're like, my possum died, people would be like, oh, good riddins. Is that magpie a pigeon? No, magpie is a bird. I was going to say, who wants to have a pigeon? Yeah, that's why dogs. Everyone loves dogs or most people.
Starting point is 00:46:45 If my dog died, I wouldn't be able to go back to work at all. all. Yeah, we get it. Okay, we understand, but you're going to have to. Someone said, I had my cat for 16 years since he was six months old, and I had one day off. One of our co-workers took a week off and put a death notice in the local paper for her chicken. That chicken was obviously a part of their family. Someone else texted. You're reading through the paper, you're like, oh no, Clucky died. Cluckerson. Someone said, for my dog, I'm going to need a week, but I would assume it's only one day that I could use for bereavement leave. The rest would be my own annual leave.
Starting point is 00:47:25 But if it's not a dog, I don't care then. People are so ruthless. People are ruthless. I think a pet's death is understandable, no matter what the pet, but maybe not a fish. The fish, the fish community are copping it. They are copping it. Someone said, pretty sure you only get three days for a blue. bloody human family member.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Is that real? Sorry, you guys just brushed over your colleague asking if a magpie was a pigeon. Yeah, we did for her benefit, okay? We thought we'd just keep it moving. And to be honest, also not out of the ordinary, something that she would say. You could educate me.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Is it not a pigeon? What the heck is a magpie? It's a magpie. I've never seen one. That's a pigeon. It's a cow-colored pigeon. Jesus Christ. Holy smokes.
Starting point is 00:48:19 What the heck? We've got big of problems. Okay. Birthday bang and X. 0800,000 M. We'll do the number one song on your 16th. A if you're keen. Dead is Franklin.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Just to wrap up a conversation before about pet deaths and how much leave you take for a dead pet, you asked if it can be bereavement leave or has to be annual leave. Yeah. Someone said, as an ex-manager, you can only use bereavement leave for a relative or close friend. It can't be used for pets. You get three days for a close relative, which is stipulated as a direct family member, otherwise only one day bereavement allocation. No restriction on the number of bereavement requests,
Starting point is 00:48:59 but it has to be for a different bereavement each time. Wait, so let's say... It's so specific. Like if you lose a sibling or a parent... Three days. You get three days. Yeah. Obviously, you can be off for longer, but they only have to pay you for three days.
Starting point is 00:49:15 brutal. Do you get it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they only have an obligation to pay you three days. But if I die, you only get one day. Yeah. So do you get a day for like your best friend?
Starting point is 00:49:30 It says close friend you get a day. Okay. Yeah. A day. Imagine if you lose your best friend. How long would you need if I died? Um, probably the afternoon. the Friday
Starting point is 00:49:46 so then I'd get, you know, I'd have to wear you days. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, I'll schedule my death on a Thursday for you. That'd be great, thanks. This is Birthday Bangor. You give us your birthday. We tell you the number one song on your 16th birthday, and Audrey's going to do her mum's birthday banger. Hi, Audrey.
Starting point is 00:50:00 Hi, Audrey. Hi. How old are you, Audrey? I'm 10. Oh, great. And you're doing Mum's birthday banger. What is her birthday? It's the 3rd of February 1980.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Oh, Mom. Audrey, you've always. changed dramatically. You've grown up so fast, Audrey. You were 16 in 1996. That's easy math. And here's your birthday banger. How bizarre!
Starting point is 00:50:28 How bizarre! What a classic. Kiwi classic. Audrey, mum's got a great birthday banger. Do you like it? That's fair enough, Audrey. It's very old, Audrey. Audrey's voice changed again.
Starting point is 00:50:47 She's magic. Wait there, Audrey. We're going to do Haley's partner's birthday banger. Hi, Haley. Hi, Haley. How long have you and your partner been together, Haley? We've been together about four months. Oh, so this is quite a new.
Starting point is 00:51:01 I know. Are you sure you're ready to do each other's birthday banger, Haley? Well, I was going to do mine, but then I was like, no, we're in the car together. Let's do his. Okay. Okay, what's his name? His name's Sam. And have you guys said, I love you yet?
Starting point is 00:51:16 Yes. Ooh. Who said it first? He did. Oh, cute. Yeah, good. Treat a man keeping keen, Haley. What is the lover boy Sam's birthday?
Starting point is 00:51:29 It is the ninth of the 10th, 94. All right, that means Sam was 16 in 2010. And hopefully you don't get the ick from his birthday banger. Yeah, we bring the stars out. We bring the women in the cars and the cars out. Oh, yeah. Tiny temper. pass out.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I love this song. He did this live at R&V. He likes it. He likes it. Yeah, he likes it. Yeah, I like it. Okay, cool. I like it too.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Me too, good vibes. Sarah's here to do a birthday banger. Hi, Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hello. How's your date being, Sarah? Shit, been at work. Oh.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Are you done? Yeah. Yep. Okay, let's make it. You know what I like about you, Sarah? Yeah. You're to the point, and that is welcomed here on this show. What is your birthday?
Starting point is 00:52:16 This is March 1980. Sarah, she never dances around the truth. You were 16 in 1996 as well, and here's your birthday bag. Oh, yeah. It's Oasis, isn't it? One of the great pub songs. Definitely good songs. Oh, you've got to be happy with that, Sarah.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Definitely. And Sarah would tell us if she wasn't. She was. Very much so. Very directly. Okay, three bangers. How Bizarre, Tiny Temper, Wonderwall. Well, how often do we get Tiny Temper?
Starting point is 00:52:49 That's my vote today. Yeah, I feel like same, which is crazy that we're going with Tiny Temper pass out over Wonderwall. But we are. But we are. Yeah. Hey, Haley. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Give your boyfriend of four months Sam, big smooch on the lips because you've just won birthday banger for him. That's awesome, guys. Thank you. You are welcome. Number one in October 2010. Here's Tiny Temper on ZM. ZDN's Branklint Banger
Starting point is 00:53:21 From 2010 for Haley and Sam Tiny Tempers pass out I don't know for sure But I think that that's Labyrinth Doing the Chorus vocal It is
Starting point is 00:53:36 As well Yeah because they are besties Yeah And lots of long time collaborators Someone texts there and said Wonderwall was the correct choice For birthday banger Just saying.
Starting point is 00:53:45 Oh, come on, guys. I mean, I do get where they're coming from. I reckon there's five radio stations playing Wonderwall this afternoon on the drive home. Yeah, probably. There's not a single station. I mean. Playing 2010's Tiny Temper. Is that for good reason or?
Starting point is 00:54:01 I'm just saying. We've took matters into our own hands. I'm just saying dare to be different, you know? Yeah. In a world that's painted beige. Dare. Dare to play Tiny Temper. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:16 That's exactly what I was going to say. Brees back. And while you've been away, we have not been looking for a name in a haystack. Oh, I thought you were going to say we were looking and it didn't go. Because we couldn't bring ourselves to do it in case it went and you weren't here. Guys. You've been a part of this journey the whole time. God. Like, real chat.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Yeah. That means a lot to me. Yeah. And even though you did it when I wasn't here, we're not going to do that to you. So let's go looking for a name and name. Nice, Zach. Wait, way to call me out there. If you've never heard it before, well, welcome on board.
Starting point is 00:54:52 We call a random business with a random name generated by separate producers so they don't overlap and they can't rig it. And it goes up in money every week. Today, if the person with the name answers the phone, they're going to win $3,900. Holy smokes, that is a lot of money. Who are we going to go to first? Claudia. All righty. What are you allocating today?
Starting point is 00:55:12 I've got the name. Okay. Solid name. I feel reasonably confident about it. I'm going with Jack. Jack. Jack. Okay, Ella, you have a job to do.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Yep. Because you've heard the name now. Yep. So tell us where Jack works. I'm going to go with a theme that we've got going on. Bree's had a baby. So we're going to Nature Baby. It's a shop that sells baby clothes in Christchurch.
Starting point is 00:55:37 What's wrong with that? Jack just working a baby show. I'm telling you. You have already decided before 40. I don't want a stereotype. And it just goes to show that they don't talk to each other and they do pre-chuse these things. Would you agree with me, Bree, someone who's been shopping for a lot of baby clothes at the moment? Not a lot of men working in baby clothes stores.
Starting point is 00:55:57 Haven't seen a single one. Maybe I meant Jacqueline. Jackie. Jackie. Are we going to accept Jackie? No. No. I would love to.
Starting point is 00:56:07 We'd accept Jack. J-A-Q. How many Jacks have you met recently? All right, Claudia, connect the quarter of Nature Baby. We're today, if Jack answers the phone, he'll win $3,900. I think we're Jack out of luck here. The Nature Baby, Grohl and Jane, speaking. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:56:32 Hi, what was your name, sorry? It's Nature Baby. And who am I speaking with? Jane. Jane. Hi, Jane. It's Bree and Clint calling from the ZDM radio station. Hi, Jane.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Hi. How are you going? Good thing. We play this silly game on our show called Name and a Haystack. where we make up a name, and then if the person with that name answers the phone, they win a crazy amount of money. And today, Jane, the name that we chose was Jack.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Not too far off Jane. Am I right, Jane? Yes, I don't know what's going on here. No, that's okay. It's a bit confusing. All that matters is, is there a Jack that works there at Nature Baby? No. No, there's not.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Okay. Just out of interest as well, Jane. Is there any men that work there at Nature Baby? Not in store. No. Sorry, that's okay. That's okay. Thank you, Jane.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Okay, we'll see you later. Thanks, Jane. Bagger it. Half the letters, right? It was close. I mean, some would... As soon as we got the jerk, we got excited, didn't we? Some would argue that Jane is the female equivalent name of Jack.
Starting point is 00:57:33 No, I think we already figured out that's Jacqueline or Jackie. Or Jill? Oh, Jill would have been good. Can you imagine if Jill had answered the phone? We all would have lost it. All right, if you're a man that works in a children's clothing store, You text 9696 to spell the rumors. Because at the moment...
Starting point is 00:57:51 Are we just being judgmental? Yeah, maybe we are. Maybe Ella's more progressive than us. No, she totally is. Look at it. Thank you. I'm so cool. Next on the show. God, I put my foot in it today. You know, in those situations where you go, oh, I'm the asshole in this situation. Was it in real life or...
Starting point is 00:58:08 No, it was overmessage. Oh, that's even worse because it lives on forever. Oh, yeah, thanks for that. Cool. The ZDM Podcast Network. learned a bit of a lesson today and the lesson is to not triple message someone. I feel like that's just a good life lesson we all should know. Yeah, I think you should take a hint.
Starting point is 00:58:29 When was the last time you triple message when you were dating? No, I'll triple message from time to time, but I need to stop because people can say things without saying things, you know? Yeah, it's a bit over the top, the triple message. To give you a bit of context, we're doing a bit of a Renault at the moment. and somebody who is doing some of the work for us, I needed something from them. And I sent them a message and I said,
Starting point is 00:58:53 hey, can I get this thing from them? Doesn't matter what it was. I just said, can I get this thing from you? Yeah. And I didn't hear back from them. That was yesterday morning I sent the message. Okay. And then I sent the message again in the afternoon.
Starting point is 00:59:05 I said, hey, just checking in, I need to get this thing from you. Can I get this? Didn't hear back. This morning, I sent another message and I said, hey, sorry to hound you, but can I get that thing from you? Whoa, man, relax.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Three messages. He's a tradie. He's busy. He replied and said, sorry, bad day yesterday. My dog died in her sleep. Oh. So I was digging a grave for her on the farm.
Starting point is 00:59:31 Oh! Nice one, you insensitive prick. I've met the dog too. Beautiful, man. Beautiful dog. Wait. The dog died in her sleep. She was old.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Old. And she was sick. and she was due to go, but still not nice. Oh, it doesn't make it. And straight away, I was like, what kind of a-hole am I? Well, you didn't know. No, I didn't know, but it's that thing, right? Awkward for you, though.
Starting point is 01:00:01 It's so awkward. Yeah. It's that thing where you go, what are you? What really matter? It just makes you question everything in life, you know, where you're like, I was like, don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Take your time. Take your time. Take your time. I do still need the thing. But I was like, just take your time. It's ZAM's Brea and Clint podcast. Starting point is 01:01:00 Well, suggest what we should do. Run around naked or say something crazy. Should we do a nudie run around the office? Perfect. Should we do a nudie run over at the edge? People have been dismissed for less than that recently. Should we? Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Put like a Zorb suit on. You know those suits? Yeah. But we'll have it. Like the bubble soccer thing. And you're naked inside. Oh no, no. What's the ones?
Starting point is 01:01:25 Oh, a morph suit. Should we put a morph suit on? Yeah. And we have an artist come in who paints on it. So it looks like we're naked. And we do a nudie run. You know what? Can you put boobs on Clint?
Starting point is 01:01:38 As a 39-year-old man, I think I'd rather be actually nude than inside a morph suit. I'd have to kind of agree with you. Yeah. Like, anyway, could you guys please? Just go and like our Instagram page so we don't have to do this shit. Or maybe people want to see our love handles. Oh, God, yuck. Okay, tell me what you want.
