Starting point is 00:00:00 ZM's Brea and Clint Podcast. It's our radio show, but wrapped up in a neat little package just for you. It's ZM's Brea and Clint podcast. ZM's Bree and Clint, thanks to KFC. Hey! Woo-hoo-hoo! Zat-Dak, Dek, Dek, Dek, Dek, Dek, Dek, Dek, Dek, Dekl. Good afternoon, everybody.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Welcome to the Bree and Clint show where we are spanning both islands this afternoon. Bree's in Auckland. I'm in Christchurch. How's it going, Bree? Yeah, mate, it's good up here. weather is spot on the money today. What about in Christchurch? I haven't had a better day of weather this year, I reckon.
Starting point is 00:00:39 I'm in that situation where I didn't pack for this. I only have jeans. And you know when you're walking around in a city you're not from and you haven't packed correctly, how uncomfortable you feel? Yeah, I know that exact feeling. That's why I always end up with a huge suitcase for one night away. You do, don't you? Yep.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Brea brings the jumbo luggage no matter where we go. from this year, Clint, which you will remember my New Year's resolution. Travel with your carry-on suitcase that we bought you for your birthday. That is correct. I travel with carry-on only. And how's that going? You know what? So far, so good. You haven't been anywhere, have you?
Starting point is 00:01:19 No. A fun show on the way for you guys today. Another laneway double pass up for grabs at 5pm. This has been so good split or steal this game, hasn't it? Yeah, it has been a lot of fun. We've had a couple of steel, no, one steel, couple of splits. One steel? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:37 Yeah, so we'll see how it turns out today. Plus, we're announcing the final flavour contender for the Bree and Clint Chip 2027, thanks to Heartland. Once we announced this, we're going to open the voting. And you guys can tell us what chip you want us to make with Heartland to be on the shelves for this summer. That's very exciting. I'm so stoked to be on another bag of chips. Me too. I couldn't be more excited.
Starting point is 00:02:00 I'm also really pumped to see what the people want to bring back, which flavour is tickling people's fancies the most. If you miss any of them, we'll recap all of our flavours and announce the fourth and final one at 4pm this afternoon. First though, time for a round of Trady versus Lady. Yeah, that's right. If you want to win 50 bucks, then you've got to play. Oh, 800 dials at M right now if you'd like to put yourself to the test.
Starting point is 00:02:25 I believe the tradies are up by about nine points. I think you're about spot on, Clint. Play Z-Dames, Bree and Clint. It's Trady versus Ladies. Gathering, gathering, gather in the Trades versus the Ladies. Score update for the year. The Trades on 93. Ladies trailing by 9.
Starting point is 00:02:50 They're on 84. Our lady is in Auckland. She is 50. And her daughter encouraged her to call. And she finally got through. Welcome to the show, Michelle. Hi, Michelle. Thanks guys.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Give your daughter a shout out. What's her name? Hi, Brooke. We've finally got through. She's been calling for weeks. Oh, how good? Oh, well done, Brooke. Let's see if mum can turn it into a win this afternoon.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Hi. Hi. You're taking on our tradie. They're in Christchurch where I am, they're 20, and they're an agricultural contractor. Welcome to the show, Henry. Hi, Henry. Hello.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Can you give us a brief summary of exactly. what that is? Basically, you go round and round in paddock and mow grass and bale it. Oh, yeah, look at those huge big hay bales, don't you? Yes. Yep. My dad would probably
Starting point is 00:03:44 need you at the moment. You busy? Yeah, I'll put you in touch. All right, guys, Trady and Lady, those are your buzzers. First of three correct answers gets $50 cash thanks to KFC. Best of luck. Here we go, guys. Question number one. What type of pasta is
Starting point is 00:04:00 traditionally used in chicken alfredo. Lady? Yes, Michelle. Fittuccini. Fettuccini is on the money. Well done. One to the ladies. Question number two.
Starting point is 00:04:12 What is the name of the deepest known point in the ocean's earth? Is it the Sunder Trench, the Puerto Rico trench, or the Challenger Deep? Lady. I'm going to say ladies just. Yeah, I got Lady only Just as well. That's the guess, but Challenger Deep? It is a great guess. It is the Challenger Deep.
Starting point is 00:04:37 I always thought it was the Marianas Trench, but that wasn't even an option. Yeah, I thought it was that too. You learn something new every day. There you go. We move on to question three. You need this one, Henry, to stay in it. Here we go. Buzz in when you can tell me who sings this song.
Starting point is 00:04:52 So they say, dance for me, dance for me, oh, oh. I never seen anybody do that things you'll do it before. They say More for me, more for me, mo for me. Yeah, I'll give you a hint. Nobody. Yeah. No?
Starting point is 00:05:10 No. No goods. Is it too late? Yeah, it's too late. Buzz it out. Tones and I is what we were looking for. Is that what you were thinking, Michelle? Yes, but too late.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Bugger. We move on to question four. What Olympic sport does Simone Biles compete in? Ladies. Michelle? Oh. Gymnestic. She's got it.
Starting point is 00:05:33 And that's the game. Unlucky there, Henry. Yeah. Yeah, no, I think I just got overpowered completely there. No, no worries. Call back and play anytime. Michelle and Brooke, well done, guys. 50 bucks coming your way.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Thank you. We're doing a celebration dance. I can hear it. How good. You can hear it through the phone. ZDM's Bree and Clint Podcast. I want to know, when did they change your favorite thing and I don't want to alarm anyone, Bree.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Okay, I don't want to get anybody. I just want everyone take a deep breath. Can you take a deep breath for me, please? Just thank you. What have they done? Particularly Coco Pop's fans. Okay, I don't want you guys to get upset. No, it's it.
Starting point is 00:06:19 I said, take a deep breath. Take another one, please. Okay, take a deep breath. But Kellogg's has announced that they have changed the recipe for Cocoa Pops in the UK, all right? Only in the UK. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Everyone relax. How are we in the UK so far? Why the bloody hell would they go and do that? Well, Kellogg's in the UK has confirmed the recipe change for Coco Pop's is to, quote, make them even crisper. Oh. That's what they were trying to do. I thought you were about to say it's to make them even healthier.
Starting point is 00:06:56 And I was going to say, Kellogg's, look, we're all aware. We're aware that Coco Pop's aren't giving me my full, fiber and protein for the day, okay? We're not eating it for that. There's a monkey on the box. I'm aware of what I'm eating, okay? I know. We don't eat it to be healthy.
Starting point is 00:07:17 No, that's the worst one when a brand says, we've changed the recipe, and now it's even better for you. It's like, guess what? I can eat kale for that. That's not what you were for. You're not providing me that service. I don't need sustenance from freaking cocoa pops.
Starting point is 00:07:34 So it's not for health reasons, it's for crispiness reasons, which again, I have an issue with, put out, keep the recipe and put out Coco Pop's extra crispy. Oh, that's an idea. Anyway, Callag's claim that the cereal has the same great chocolatey taste, but Coco Poppers are not convinced, Bree. There are Reddit threads claiming that it tastes disgusting, awful, totally different, and even someone said,
Starting point is 00:08:04 diabolical. Wow. Look, I have never eaten a bowl of cocoa pops and thought to myself, you know what would make this better if they were crispier? I think they're already pretty bloody crispy.
Starting point is 00:08:17 If your cocoa pops aren't crispy enough, you're not eating them fast enough. Exactly. That's all it is. That's how I feel about it. Do you recall? Just to reiterate, just to reiterate, this is in the UK.
Starting point is 00:08:27 It's not happening in New Zealand. Don't call your local cocoa pop dealer. It's not happening here. that we know of. Because we're asking this afternoon, did they change your favourite thing? Do you recall Clint, many moons ago when we first started this show?
Starting point is 00:08:42 And I came to you and I said, they've done something to my deodorant. Oh boy, do I remember. Are you talking about the famous investigation into Rexona's sexy bouquet? I sure am. And I would not let it go. I said, I know for a fact they've changed the scent
Starting point is 00:08:57 and we need to get to the bottom of it. And you and I went full investigative journalist. and we got to the bottom of it and they said, how did you know that? Yes, it's slightly changed. Yours is the only nose that has managed to notice
Starting point is 00:09:12 the slight recipe change in Rixona's sexy bouquet. I've been wearing it for a decade. Did they change it back? Was your complaint enough for them to change it back? Because there are famous cases where people have complained enough
Starting point is 00:09:23 that they put it back. Like Milo. Yeah, I mean, that's a historical story right there. But no, I don't think they really cared about my opinion and they were like, yep, you're right, and we're going to leave it this way.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Yeah, get over it, lady. Yeah. I want to know, Bree's right, I want to know when they changed your favourite thing. And it might not even be food, okay? It could be food. It could be clothing items. It could be the way that things are made. Chuck Taylor's just aren't the same anymore.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Yeah. They're not the same shoe. You know, they used to be such a comfortable shoe. They're just not the same shoe anymore. You know what else has changed? I hate to say it, but I feel like Doc Martins. Yes. They're not as sturdy as what they used to be.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Producer Grace, would you agree with me on this? You wear some Doc Martins, don't you? The Doc Martins. I would totally agree. But I never, I wasn't, I'm not old enough to know the good time. Oh, mate. Let me, when you've got a, like a quick 25 minutes, I'll inform you about the past of Doc Martins and all the history.
Starting point is 00:10:30 Grace isn't old enough for anything to have changed in her life. Yeah. That is Franklin. What did they change? When did they change your favourite thing? Someone said, guys, do you remember when they changed cream eggs? I don't. I don't, but I have a friend who would gouge themselves on cream eggs once a year around Easter
Starting point is 00:10:52 and the change in cream eggs actually cured their Easter time cream egg addiction because they didn't want them anymore. Well, there you go. interesting. So that's how much they love the old one where they just couldn't find love for the new one. A lot of people messaging us about the other famous flip-flop change, which was when they changed the recipe for shapes. Do you remember this, Brees? I remember this. They changed it. I feel like it was way less flavoring. And then everyone was up in arms about it. They were like, what the hell have you done? You've ruined our favorite pastime snack. And then they changed it back, right?
Starting point is 00:11:25 They put it back. Someone said shapes changed the recipe. I complained on Facebook. They sent me some new ones to try, and I said, these are still shit. And then they changed them back. That person is a hero. We owe that person so much. That person did it for all of us. When did they change the thing you love? Yeah, someone texts through and they said, they changed the flavor of my lip gloss.
Starting point is 00:11:45 It changed, and now I don't want to eat it. See, there's a net positive there, isn't there? Yeah. But something that goes on your lips, you're going to know. Oh, yeah. You know? You know the smell. you know how it feels, you know everything
Starting point is 00:12:00 and you're like, I know something's different here. Someone says still haven't forgiven eater for changing the flavour of cheese and onion munchos. Oh. Can you still get munchos? Were you a big munchos person? I didn't grow up with munchos. That's a Kiwi thing.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Yeah, right. But I have to admit, I am partial to a tomato muncho, but I've never tried the cheese and onion ones. You're a big Pringle. Are you aware of a change to Pringles? Someone said Pringles have changed. They are now.
Starting point is 00:12:28 now so thick and yuck. Really? I think they're definitely smaller, but I feel like they're still pretty thin and pringly. I couldn't tell if the tube had gotten smaller or if my hand had gotten bigger. But I can't get my hand... I can't get my hand into a tube of pringles anymore.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Which, again, that could be a net positive. It could be saving me from myself. It is quite the puzzle of pringle can these days. Someone said they changed Oreos. They taste different. different now. They don't taste like they did when I was younger. They were better then. Yeah, but everything was better when we were younger, you know? I'm not going to lie. I feel like Oreo is still pretty bloody good. I can't tell the difference.
Starting point is 00:13:09 I love an Oreo. I'm keen as. There's so many of these things coming in, guys. Apparently grain waves have changed. I feel like grain waves are smaller. Shrinkflation is a whole other topic. Like the other day when we got a, remember we got a snickers the other day? Yeah, it was like literally half of a snick. But I also feel like. The consistency of it has changed too because it's smaller. But I don't know. And the rapper. And the rapper.
Starting point is 00:13:36 What did they say? What was the, is it snickers that really satisfies? Is that what they used to say? Snickers really satisfies? Not anymore. It's not big enough. Yeah. Where's the rest of my Snickers?
Starting point is 00:13:47 Snickers is like, guys, size doesn't matter. When it comes to satisfaction. It does. In this circumstance. Size is a key component of what we're looking. for. By the way, we're talking about chocolate bars, okay? Yeah. Someone said sour skittles have changed, putting the sour on the inside rather than the
Starting point is 00:14:07 outside. Is that what they do now? I've got to be honest, sour skittles seem, and I know this isn't a health food conversation, but sour skittles seem like the most unhealthy thing I've ever seen in my life. They come in a radioactive green packet. They're already lollies, and then they've got crystallised sugar on the outside as well as the inside. And they burn your tongue. Producer Claudia is shaking her head She very much disagrees with you
Starting point is 00:14:32 I'm a sour skiddle connoisseur They don't have the crystals on the outside anymore It just looks like a regular skittal It's just sour They did though hey They used to yeah yeah That's the problem though They used to be so good
Starting point is 00:14:42 You could like you know You could suck on on a bit Which is what we all know in love Yeah we're talking about lollies Yeah And don't get us started on those snickers again ZDN's brand Clint I was reading this article today Clint
Starting point is 00:14:57 about millennials that re-watch certain TV shows from our youth. Oh, yes, yeah. And psychologists have now weighed in on why we do that. And there's also a list that they've put together about what TV shows, millennials, according to this study, we re-watch the most. What's our comfort shows? Yeah. That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Because I imagine that's what it is. It's nostalgia and comfort, isn't it? Yeah, well, that's what people always say. they're like, oh, it's a nostalgia thing, you know, where you revisit your old favourite and that's what it's about. It's about going back to that time in your life that was, you know, just easier, I think. Easier. Yeah, you've got good memories from there. I think your brain also like something that it knows because it doesn't have to think.
Starting point is 00:15:44 It's like, oh, I know this is funny. I know there's a good bit coming up. I know what to expect. You couldn't be more spot on. It says that old TV shows that you've watched a fair few times offer comfort. predictability, a sense of control, whilst also revisiting an old favourite that can make you notice something
Starting point is 00:16:04 with a different perspective, which they say we like as well. You know when you rewatch something that you watch as a kid and you're like, oh, that's what that joke means. I never noticed that bit. Yeah, that's one of my favourite bits. Yeah. Do you want to, let's go, do you want to hear the, actually,
Starting point is 00:16:20 I don't know what I want to do first. The list of the shows. Do the list. Okay, this is the list that apparently millennials are re-watching the most sex in the city, friends, the OC, scrubs, gossip girl, one tree hill, Gilmore girls,
Starting point is 00:16:37 skins and I think that, how I met your mother. We're so basic. Are we? We millennials, we are so basic. If you were to put a millennial TV show DVD compilation together, that's all of the shows.
Starting point is 00:16:52 And can I say they're just missing one? What was the one? show off there. The one that I rewatch. What? Ah, I mean, it's a classic. I feel like they've kind of ruined their legacy a little bit by hanging on too long. All those other shows that you listed, they knew when to call it quits. Except Sex in the City, whose reboot was questionable.
Starting point is 00:17:15 But the Simpsons just, they really just, there's a scene in the Simpsons where they're like, stop it, he's dead. I feel like the Simpsons need to say that. about themselves. Yeah, I hear you on that. I mean, what are they out to? Like 37 seasons or something? Oh, too many. There's a lot. Should have ended at the movie. Yeah. Yeah. I hear you on that. My comfort show is on the list and it's got to be sex in the city. You're trying desperately to get our new Gen Z producer Grace into Sex in the City, aren't you? I'm desperately trying, but I don't think it's worked, has it, Grace? It has not worked one bit?
Starting point is 00:17:52 You know what I find, though, about re-watching sex in the city that depresses me a little bit? Yeah. When I first started watching the show, which I was like 16, now when I watch the show, I'm like the same age as all the women in the show, like towards the end of all the seasons. And I'm like, well, this is depressing. Oh, my God, Bree, your final season, sex in the city. I know. And I'm like, damn, is this all there is? Grace, what's a Gen Z show you?
Starting point is 00:18:22 re-watch? This says a lot about my personality. The one I watch religiously is dance moms. JoJo Sewa. Is that the Jojo Sewa show? Yeah. And Abby Lee? Abby Lee, yes. I've watched it probably like 20 times over. Is there like a particular season?
Starting point is 00:18:43 That's your favorite? Oh, banger. I'd say season 3, 4, 5. They go from Pittsburgh to L.A. in season 5. Of course they do. Yeah, that was huge. That was huge. Jojo C were joined season five. That was peak dance moms. Yeah, season four is a banger because they did a two-part season as well.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Yeah, yeah. Of course. Oh, damn. It's the classics. Claudia, can you compete with dance moms? What's your repeat favorite show? I feel like nobody can compete with dance moms. The one I always go back to is New Girl.
Starting point is 00:19:12 That's my favorite. Oh, basic. Oh, shut up, Simpson. Why do you cut yourself a Zoe Day Chanel friend or something, your basic beat? I talked about that and you told me not to. I reckon you could pull it off. I reckon you could pull it off. I get the glasses you can do it.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Bree, that is not being a good friend. Okay, I'm lying. Don't do it. Don't do it to yourself. Stay away from the light. Z&M's Bree and Clint podcast. The T live from L.A. with Dean McCarthy. Huge news for the Gleeks.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Glee is making a comeback, Dean. He's making a comeback. I can't believe it's finally happening. I knew it would. You know what I mean? It's one of those shows. Like, how did it take so long? Glee is getting a reboot.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Now, Ryan Murphy is heading it, which is fantastic. He created the original series. He has said today that he spoke to 10 of the original cast, and he didn't say who or in what capacity, but he said all of them were ecstatic about the idea of it, obviously, you know what I mean? But what's interesting? I think that it will be like,
Starting point is 00:20:17 they'll have like a new class of young kids and things like coming through. But let me just say you something. Let me tell you something. right now. I want to tell you from the bottom of my heart, I've never met a more horrible celebrity in my whole career than Leah Michelle.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Yes, Dean. Leo Michelle? Tell us how you really feel. No, you, I mean, who have I not interviewed? I've interviewed everyone. Leah Michelle is the worst person I've ever met on earth. Oh, my God. The tea is scolding from Dean McCartney today.
Starting point is 00:20:51 For example, I put my hand out to shake her hand like, oh my God, welcome, you know. She didn't even move her hands. She looked in me like a hat to her head and kept her hands in her pockets. And my hand was in her, like, stomach waiting for the shake. Like, she complained about us. She flew herself back to America. We all got in trouble from Fox USA.
Starting point is 00:21:10 She's the worst person I've ever met. Dean, you should write her a letter. You should write her a letter with all these thoughts and feelings and send it to her. Oh, wait, she won't be able to read it. She's not going to carry her. Do you remember that rumour, Dean, that Leigh and Michelle can't read? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:27 If she can read a person, like, read, like, RuPaul's Drag Race Read, but she cannot possibly read books, perhaps. But she, when she got out of it as a monster, remember when everyone turned on her? I just sat there like, I knew this would say, would come. This is, you never talk like this about anyone, Dean, so I know you're being full serious. Yeah. Wow. I look, I don't know if we need to read. boot of glee. To be honest, I feel like
Starting point is 00:21:52 I'm not a glick either, yeah. There's a lot of I mean, I was a fan of the original show and then there's a lot of dark clouds that hang over that show with some really awful things that have happened to certain characters and people that used to play those characters, I mean. But I feel like Ryan Murphy,
Starting point is 00:22:10 you got any new ideas? No, we're going to go. Get a new idea. No, I've changed my mind. I want it to come back. I want Leah, Michelle, to be a part of it because I want Dean to have to interview her again. I want round 2 of McCarthy versus Michelle. Why do you hate Dean? Why do you hate him?
Starting point is 00:22:25 No, I don't hate Dean. I just want to see this match, you know? That's the T with Bree and Clint. We're back up to this. The ZM Podcast Network. Bree, have you still got that life ban? Are you still on life ban? Yeah, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:22:39 That's why they call it life ban from the toilet store. That's why they call it life ban from the toilet store. I don't want to go there. Yeah. They didn't want you to go there either. That's why they gave you a life ban. Turns out, the floor models, The floor models, not available to try before you buy.
Starting point is 00:22:55 Not for public use, I believe, is the words they said. No. And Breer was like, but I saved up a big one. Don't. I already have that story that rumor floating around about me, about doing a poo in the ocean. I don't need this. Floating.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Floating around is the key word of that situation. This is a wild question, but we are going to ask you guys if you have a life ban from somewhere. You might have seen the video doing the rounds of the guy on the plane who puts his life jacket on during the safety briefing and when they say the bit and it says once leaving the aircraft,
Starting point is 00:23:32 pull down on the cord to inflate. He does. He pulls the cord. The life jacket inflates. Objectively, look, I don't want to get kicked off my flight tomorrow. Objectively, it's quite funny. Like, he's taken the safety demonstration very literally.
Starting point is 00:23:49 He sure has, but why did he even have the life jacket on, is my question. Because, Bree, the world demands content. And he needed a new video for his Instagram page. The video then shows him being escorted off the plane by police for doing that. Yeah. There is news out today that he has been banned from flying on that airline for life, Bree. For life. What airline was it?
Starting point is 00:24:18 So this is where it gets a bit worse for him. He did it on a Jet Star flight. Okay. So he is banned from Jet Star. But because Jet Star is also part of Qantas, he is banned from Qantas. Oh, so he's got the double whammy. And he's Australian. He's Australian.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Those are the two choices in Australia, isn't it? Yep. Oh, well, I mean, you make choices. You got to live with the consequences. You know, you know this story, this story. sprung a memory in my mind. Have I ever told you about the life jacket incident with Joe Cotton on an episode of Celebrity Treasure Island?
Starting point is 00:24:58 No, but I'm all ears. Oh, mate. So we were in Fiji and we were filming an episode of Treasure Island and there was this particular challenge where they were, the two teams were in canoes and they had to do this water part on the water so they all had to wear life vests, right? And you know the life vests that you need to pull them? So you need to pull them to inflate them,
Starting point is 00:25:25 but they've got like the little canisters. So they're not just ones that are your normal standard life vest. They're more expensive. Yes. Yes, I know the ones, the gas ones. Yes, exactly, exactly. But once you've inflated them, that's it. Like, you can't put them back into the bag, so to speak.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Or I think you have to get them reg gassed or whatever. It's expensive. Anyway. We're all sitting there having a briefing about safety, and I said to Joe Cotton from True Bliss. I said, Joe, you know what would be great television is when you're out on the water, you should accidentally inflate your life vest.
Starting point is 00:26:04 That is good TV. That's great TV. Who wouldn't want to see Joe Cotton accidentally inflate her life fest? And she looks at... Who wouldn't want to see Joe Cotton accidentally grappling with an inflated life vest? I would. I'd tune in for that episode. Yeah, and she said to me, she's like, great idea. Anyway, the challenge plays out.
Starting point is 00:26:22 And at a certain point, Joe Cotton, oh, look out her life vest is gone off. It happens. Anyway, she gets a telling off from one of the producers. Why did you do that? Oh, no. Why did you do that? Those are expensive. And then no shit.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Joe Cotton from True Bliss points straight at me and goes, Bree told me to do it. And I was in so much trouble. I was in so much trouble. I was saying, you bloody knock. Also, also, come on, Celebrity Treasure Island. It's one life jacket. It was for the content, you know? It was for a reason.
Starting point is 00:27:04 I'm going to Google how much those life jackets cost, you know? Inflatable life. I reckon it was worth every penny. I don't even need to know how much unless it was a. I know the ones. I know the ones. They're the Hux Wilcoe ones. They're the blue ones.
Starting point is 00:27:15 the blue ones, right? I don't know if I want to know because depending if it's a lot, then I'll feel bad. There are $140. I mean, it's great content. Who's not, who's going to... It's great content. It's great content. I couldn't believe it.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I was like, Joe Cotton, you're on my list throwing me under the bus. We're taking up $100,000 for charity. Surely we can spend $100 on a life check. Yeah, it's going to boost ratings. Let's go. I want to know if you've got a life ban or even an extended ban from somewhere. Did you get banned from somewhere? or did someone you know get banned from somewhere.
Starting point is 00:27:46 I'll never forget my friend Jason from Rotorua getting banned from one of the only two nightclubs in Roderua. And it was a life ban too. It really made it hard to go out with him. Because he was always like, oh, should we go to a grumpy mole? And we're like, no, we all want to go to lava bar. He's like, oh. Oh, I can't go there.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Well, I can't go there. Grumpy mole's pretty good. You're like, fine. No, we're going to lava bar. Go to the grumpy mole. It's Zatam's Bree and Clint podcast. That video that you might have seen of the guy inflating his yellow life jacket on the plane during the safety briefing. Yeah, that guy is now banned from flying on Qantas and Jetstar flights because of that.
Starting point is 00:28:25 He forgot the number one rule, Bree. You don't mess with airplanes and airports. Yeah, I don't. Save your pranks. Definitely not worth it. Ask Ben Boyce. It's his number one rule, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Ever since him and Bryce Casey went to prison for the... for the pilot prank. I'm sure he... No more airport shit. I'm sure he will love you bringing this up right now. He's like, can you shut up, of course? Can you shut up? I just got back.
Starting point is 00:28:56 I just got prank in the airport. Can you shut up? God, damn. So we asked you, where are you banned from? And there's some good ones coming through. Let's go to Amber first. Hi, Amber. Hi, Amber.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Hi, hi. How's it going? Good, thanks. Tell us, where'd you get banned from? Um, so I was, it was much younger. and I was at an after-school program and on the go-karts and crashed into the instructor
Starting point is 00:29:17 and pinned his legs between the go-kart and the tire barrier. Oh, no. He obviously kicked me out, banned me. 30 minutes later, my twin sister lined up to do the go-karts. They didn't believe her convenience story of being a twin and she also got banned.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Wait, is she an identical twin? Yes. That's amazing. Have you ever, did you ever try and go back to that go-car place and try and get in? No, we didn't really have a great day. Yeah, gotcha. That sucks because she didn't do anything to get that band. And if they had believed it, then you could have got back in too.
Starting point is 00:29:58 You could have gone, oh, I'm also the sister. I'm not the, I'm not the, I'm not. And they would have been like, nah, she's on the track right now. I mean, I didn't care. I have lost. Sounds like it ever. Thanks, Amman. we asked what did you get banned for someone said not a life ban but my wife and I got banned from one of her favorite restaurants for getting caught doing indoor gardening in the bathroom
Starting point is 00:30:23 this was many years ago guys so naughty you raunchy little thing you went out for dinner with your wife and you got freaky in the toilets of the restaurant what restaurant do we think it was denny's you got down at denny's danies danies danes danes danes daddies daddies daddies daddies dad Someone texts through... I like this. They said, I got banned from Laser Tag. I got way too intense and ruined a couple of kids' birthday parties. Worst parties, I got a record and they took it off the wall of fame. No!
Starting point is 00:30:56 No! They erased you from Laser Tag history. That is... God, how much of a nuisance were you at Labor... Laser Tag for them to scrub you from the annals of Laser Tag history? I just picture someone real sweaty going around just destroying kids. fun? Like just being like, you're out.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Get out of here. Claudia, I want you to corroborate this one and confirm it because you are the person who puts people through for this. We have a text from Drew that says I got banned from calling up for Trady versus Lady because I was winning too much. And fair enough, I suppose. So, Claudia, have you banned Drew from playing Trady versus Lady? I can't speak to Drew specifically.
Starting point is 00:31:41 But there are some people out there that I sometimes don't let them play because they like to play a lot. And I like to give everyone a fair chance, you know? Yeah. What's a lot? How much is too much? I mean, once a week's a lot. You know?
Starting point is 00:31:56 Yeah, Claudia, you do like to spread it around. I sure do. She's the town bike of producers. She likes to give everyone a go. Can I get that on a t-shirt? Everyone gets a turn. Everyone except Drew, am I right? Oh, Glawney at the town bike producer.
Starting point is 00:32:15 So good. Funny. Yesterday I said to Brie and Clinton podcast. Yesterday I said to Brie, who I was coming with. And she goes, why the hell is Maddie MacLaine invited to the cricket instead of me? I know more about cricket than he does. So here to prove that that's true is our friend Maddie McLean. Hi, Maddie.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Hi, Maddie. Hi. Brie, you're not wrong. And you know what? And I love that you own that, Maddie. I love that you own it. When the invite came through, I truly thought to myself,
Starting point is 00:32:52 they have got me confused. They've sent it to me and they were meant to send it to Matt Gibb, which happens all the time. He loves cricket. He loves cricket. Bree famously, I'd say you're indifferent towards cricket.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Is that fair, Bree? I would say that's right. I love a T20, but the three-day test, I'm like, oh, you're carrying on a bit, aren't you? What about a five-day test? Oh, don't get me started. And the good news is, if I'm correct, we are going to a T20 game tonight.
Starting point is 00:33:22 Maddie, you are correct. And Maddie McLean, what does T20 stand for? I will be the one who asks the questions here, Bree. Thank you very much. We're about to find out who knows more about cricket. Is it Maddie, the invited guest at the game tonight, or is it Bree Tomasel, the one left out in the comments? Two for 222.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Bree Tomicel. Yes. Your first cricket-related question. Tonight is the first game of the home season for the black caps. Who are they playing? They will be playing India. Correct. One point three, keep your own scores.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Maddie, who is the current captain of the New Zealand T20 team? Is it Brendan McCullum, Julian Savia or Mitchell Satner? Mitchell Satner. Mitchell Satner is correct. One point, Bree. But one point Maddie. Bree, what is the name of the small wooden pieces that sit atop the wickets that you must remove to get a player out? They would be the Bales.
Starting point is 00:34:31 It's correct. Yes, head. Oh, you're both doing very well here. Do you guys know more about cricket than me? I didn't know that. Oh, you did it? I wouldn't have got that. Well, Maddie.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Name three other countries the black caps might play against. Pakistan. Correct. Australia. Correct. England. Well done. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Yes. Come on. All right. We keep going. Bree, what colour is the ball in a T20 cricket match? Oh, okay. I want to say, I'm thinking it's one or two colors. It's either red or it's white.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Mm-hmm. I'm going to go white. Geez. Wow. Okay, I cannot separate you two. Maddie, which two countries were involved in the famous underarm bowl?
Starting point is 00:35:23 New Zealand and Australia. Guys, I knew you. I can't separate you. Yeah, exactly right. We've come to a decider. Okay. Buzz in, if you would like to be the person who answers this question.
Starting point is 00:35:37 If I... If I catch the ball while my feet are in the field of play but then step out over the boundary rope while holding the ball. What is the outcome for the player who hit the ball? Is it A, they are out because I caught it clean? B, they are not out and they receive four runs. Or C, they are not out and they receive six runs. Medi.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Medi, for the win. They're out because they caught the ball clean. Incorrect. Oh, no. Okay. Three. So can I just clarify so they were in the field of play But when they caught it their feet were on the outside
Starting point is 00:36:15 No their feet were on the field in the field of play They caught it and then stepped back in the same motion over the boundary rope In and then out while holding the ball So they caught it when their feet were in or out In I'm going to say it was a four then That's in Karema Shit.
Starting point is 00:36:38 It's six runs. So neither of us belong at the cricket tonight then. All you both do. All we both do. All you both do. And I'm the imposter. But I'm there and you're not, Bree, son. God damn.
Starting point is 00:36:47 How's that? It's a sold-out match at Hagueley Park tonight. If you see us, um... Throw some cricket questions at Maddie. There you go. Yeah, enjoy yourself, boys. Enjoy yourself. No sandpaper in the pockets, okay?
Starting point is 00:37:01 Lads, lads. I mean, that's more an Australian thing, but yeah, absolutely, Bree. Thank you. Oh, yeah, that's right. That's why they didn't invite me. Play ZDM's Bree and Clint. Clint, I would be right in saying that you love to attend a wedding, yes?
Starting point is 00:37:18 I do love a wedding, yep. Me too. I love to go to a wedding. It's a great party, free food, free drinks. I mean, who doesn't love going to a wedding, am I right? I know, and everybody turns it on for a wedding. Everybody brings the best version of themselves. It's always a great party.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Yeah, exactly. So this new website, this might interest you. A new platform has launched called Not a Wedding Crasher. And what they're offering is the chance for you to attend strangers' weddings. Oh, okay. I'm interested. It's quite interesting, isn't it? So what they're saying is you can get paid to attend people's weddings.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Okay. Why? So as far as they're concerned, sometimes people don't have enough guests to fill up a venue or to make it a party. So you can put your wedding, I know it's a little bit sad, but you can put your wedding up onto this platform and you put it out there
Starting point is 00:38:24 and you say these are the details of the wedding, would you be interested in coming? And then people can apply to attend the wedding. Oh, I don't know how I feel about that. Usually you're trying to cut the guest list down, but you're like, we don't have enough friends, so we need to pay some people to come to our wedding? That feels a bit off.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Yeah. I think it's also when you get cancellations last minute, and so you've obviously paid ahead for a certain number of people, and you don't want those meals or those seats to go away, so then you can put it up here on this website and people can pay you so then you kind of get your money back. Do you know, I just realize that I kind of do get paid to go to strangers' weddings because I DJ at weddings.
Starting point is 00:39:13 That's so true. And so I get paid to attend and I only come for the good bit. I only come for the party. But a lot of the time I'm there early so I get to see the speeches. I get a meal so I get to eat what everybody else is eating. And then I stay for your wedding. And then I watch your first dance. And then I never see you ever again.
Starting point is 00:39:31 You know, and I was a part of your big day. And then I try and get in some of the photos. And it's weird. It's weird, but it's true. I get paid to go to other people's weddings. Where you're, like, with people for one of the most intimate, like, special days of their lives. Yeah, and I'm sober. Well, mostly.
Starting point is 00:39:50 And they... Don't lie. Don't lie to us here on the brief. Well, for the first half. Okay. And I see you guys. And I know that you're not sober, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Uh-huh. Well, if you're interested, there's currently 24 weddings available on the site, not a wedding crasher. Oh, my God. And prices range from $25 to $150. $25? Yeah, you can tend someone's wedding. I guess you get dinner and drinks, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Yeah. Not keen? I thought you'd get paid. Well, I charge a bit more than that, but yeah. How much do you charge? Oh, time to get some blue ones. ZDM's Bree and Clint Podcast. Look, Clint, in life, sometimes people do.
Starting point is 00:40:31 take the piss. It's one of my all-time favorite sayings and it happens often. It's one of your all-time favorite things to do. I do it often. It spends on the way you're talking about taking the piss. You and I are piss takers. We're professional piss takers, but I feel like you're talking about something a little bit different. Yeah, I'm
Starting point is 00:40:47 talking about it in a way where someone, you know, they take, someone's trying to do something nice for someone and they go too far and they get greedy, you know? And that's what this, that's where this story leads us because a woman on TikTok, her name's Gabby Whips, and she has spoken about a situation
Starting point is 00:41:07 that's happened with her where she was moving house, which I mean is an awful, awful time in anyone's life. It's stressful. Top three worst experiences, yeah. It's awful. Anyway, she's hired a moving company, which she says were great. They were organized. They were efficient. And these two guys came over to help her move. And she said she had a lot of stuff. So she reckons the these two guys who were strangers to her, were moving stuff from one apartment to another apartment from about one o'clock till seven o'clock at night. Okay. So it was a fair afternoon, big day. And so she said, you know, I was always taught that it was nice to offer people who are doing a service for you, offer them a drink, offer them even a meal. So that's what she did. She said to the two
Starting point is 00:42:01 guys, hey, you've been awesome today. Thank you so much. Can I offer you dinner? Because it is quite late. Can I buy you guys dinner? One of the guys, very thoughtful from her. One of the guys said, no, oh, no, I'm fine. That's such a nice offer, but I have to go. And the other guy said, oh, actually, I would love some food. I'll take you up on the offer. And we've got some audio of her. We're going to pick the story up there where she, He hands over her phone for this guy, this stranger to her, who she's offered to buy him dinner for, you know, doing work, moving her stuff from one apartment to the other. And here's what happens. One guy was like, yeah, I want hungry jacks.
Starting point is 00:42:44 I give him my phone. I might order whatever you want, like, it's fine. I don't care how expensive it is. Order the most expensive burger. Like, just get what you want. He hands me my phone back. My jaw drops to the floor. Feast bundle.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Bacon deluxe, no bacon. Bacon deluxe no bacon. Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, chicken royal, chicken royale. bacon four times medium chips chicken nuggets 18 pack two times medium fanta raspberry two times medium fanta raspberry jfc family bundle classic jack's fried chicken classic jack's fried chicken chicken riole chicken royale four times medium chips chicken nuggets eight pack two times medium fanta raspberry two times medium fanta raspberry he ordered himself eight burgers eight chips 20 something nuggets eight beverages then it cost me a hundred and thirty something something
Starting point is 00:43:31 $1,000, I was completely gobsmacked. That guy's taking the piss, mate. Oh, my God. Someone needs to remix that lady. Remix her just going, eating chicken nuggets. Bacon eat a burger. Bacon eat a burger. Club, club.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Six Fentah. Another club. Another chicken nugget. Far out. That guy saw his meal ticket, literally and went, I'm on here. He took it. I'm on. Can I say, we don't have hungry jacks here, but incredible
Starting point is 00:44:01 value to get all of that food for only $130-something dollars. I thought she was on the hook for about $500. That's what I thought. She was lucky to get away with just that, I think. Yeah. Crazy too, because the guy knows that she's going to see it. It's like it's a victimless crime. And does he just think he's like, because he's in her house. And so there's often, maybe he's like, oh, this lady's rich.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I've seen all of her stuff. She's rich. Apparently. I'm going to just take her for all she's worse. Because the audio we cut out there, but she goes on to say that he ordered so many bloody raspberry fanta's, right? And she goes on to say that she had also bought them bottles of water throughout the day, obviously, because they were, you know, moving stuff and it's hard work. And he proceeded to tip out all of the water from all the bottles of water that she had bought for them.
Starting point is 00:44:53 And he filled it up with all of the raspberry fanta. Nah, this guy is an animal. This guy was raised outdoors. That's out of control. And that's why I said he's taking the piss. Yeah. Wow. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Anyway, I thought we could ask Clint this afternoon on 0800 dials at him. When was someone taking the piss? And it doesn't have to be anything like that scenario. No. You know what I'm asking when I say that, right? They took advantage of you. They took advantage of your kindness. They took it too.
Starting point is 00:45:29 bar. Do you remember that other day we were at that fancy lunch for work and the lady at our table told us about the person last time. They were at like a very fancy restaurant and there was like food out all over the table. And this lady, at the end this lady who was a guest goes, oh, can I get a
Starting point is 00:45:45 doggy bag? And she packed up all of the meal, all of the food that was on this 12 seat of table, put it all in doggy bags and took it home. And part of me went, you know what? In a cost of living crisis, I get it. They're going to put that food in the bin. But this is, it's still taking the piss and this is, this one's a bit different.
Starting point is 00:46:04 A little bit, but that's what we're asking this afternoon. Dead is Franklin. We're discussing a story out of Australia where a woman has done a nice thing for some removalist guys who had been moving her from one apartment to the other. She offered to buy them dinner. One guy said, no, that's such a nice offer. No, thank you. The other guy ordered eight burgers, um, chips and about four. things of Raspberry Fanta for himself. He took
Starting point is 00:46:35 the piss. So we're asking you guys who took the piss. Katrina's here. Hi Katrina. Hi Katrina. Hi Katrina. Hi, how are you guys? Good thank you, Kat. Who was it? Who took the piss, Katrina? Oh, okay. So it was
Starting point is 00:46:49 a friend of mine who was in my singing group and she asked me to be the MC for her wedding. Okay. So I'm like, okay, get guests from A to B essentially, like that's all I really need to do. Be on the mic a couple of times.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Yeah. Yeah. Then I get there, I realized that I had to meet the caterers, the celebrant, the photographer. I did the music. Walking down the aisle, she told me 30 minutes before the show was going ahead that I had to do her makeup. Oh my God, what?
Starting point is 00:47:21 Literally, I did absolutely everything, and I didn't stop working until 11 o'clock that night, and She gave me a wee thank you card a week later. That outrageous. You were the, you were the emce. You were the wedding planner. And he was literally the maid of honour almost.
Starting point is 00:47:41 You were not the MC, you were the MVP, because you did it all, Katrina. Literally everything. Did you ever say anything to her about it or did you just go, oh well, it's never going to happen again. Just let it go. I mean, I seem to remember being like, remember what I did kind of thing? But there was just no, like, no, you know, nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Not even a bottle of wine and a block of chalky. Literally. That's outrageous. The makeup thing is what sent me. I was like, wow. Okay, so I realize, like, you're good at makeup. You can do all this. You do it.
Starting point is 00:48:22 That's wild. Katrina. Like you're some kind of personal servant. Thanks, Katrina. Ella's here. Hi, Ella. Hi, Ella. Hi, Ella.
Starting point is 00:48:28 Hello. Who took the piss, Ella? We have an egg who's a bit of a bad egg, and we decided to go away to Queensland for a few days. And I had paid for everything for this trip. Okay. And then on the way back home, as we're stopping to a petrol station in Queensland,
Starting point is 00:48:52 and as you could imagine, it's very expensive, proceed to ask me if I can put $200 of petrol in his truck because he didn't have any money because we just both gamblers away. Oh, no. Wow. No, Ella, nah. And then following that, on the way home, you asked me if I could pay for food. The goal, the absolute goal.
Starting point is 00:49:18 It gets better in return to say thanks. I got a high five to the face and I got broken up with. Oh, no. What a deep bag, Ella. Now I'm angry. Now I'm pissed off. You should be able to ask for a refund from shit relationships. You know that's okay.
Starting point is 00:49:36 The straight dirt right next. Send them a full invoice. We're asking who took the piss. Someone texted and they said, we were packing up after our wedding and my aunt's bag spilled out. She had at least three bottles of wine and her handbag to take home. It's crazy because your aunt obviously thinks that the wine is free when actually it's her niece and possibly nephew that are paying for the wine, you know?
Starting point is 00:50:03 I'm not going to let this good wine go to waste, am I? They're just giving this shit out for free. No, we've paid for all that wine, obviously. We're asking who took the piss. This one will resonate with any young people who had to go to church with their parents. It says, when I was a kid, I went to church with one of my friends. and everyone was getting the bread and the wine. I went up and took the most gigantic piece of bread.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Everyone else was taking tiny rips of it. Oh, no. I took the piss. In a church, it still haunts me, and it's been 30 years. God, how many Hail Mary's is that worth? I reckon at least 50, at least. I feel for that person, though, because if you're not from a family that goes to church,
Starting point is 00:50:48 you're like, what are we doing? You're like, oh, sweet. What is this bit? We all get some bread, great. someone else texted through and they said my flatmate ate my entire birthday cake while I was at work.
Starting point is 00:51:00 When I confronted him, he said he thought it was a communal cake because it was in the fridge. It had happy birthday Sarah written across the top. His name ain't Sarah. Oh, that's very good. Thanks guys.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Zidim's Brinclent. Let's do a birthday banger. Brinclin. All I want from my birthday is the birthday banger. The birthday bangers, that's the number one song when you turn 16, and we figure them out here at the Bree and Clint show. Yes, we do, Bree, and the first birthday banger we're going to do today belongs to our friend Kristen. Hi, Kristen. Hi, Kristen.
Starting point is 00:51:40 Hi, guys. How's your day being, Kristen? Not bad, just wrapping up, stuck in traffic, just living the dream. Whereabouts in the country are you? I'm in Auckland. Oh, that bloody Auckland traffic. Hey, let's make it go. The home of traffic.
Starting point is 00:51:56 The home of traffic. What is your birthday, Kristen? 12th of March 84. I'm an old girl. Don't say that, Kristen. Aren't you born in the same year? Oh, no, two, a couple of years later. Sorry, that was my mistake.
Starting point is 00:52:10 You were 16 in the year 2000. Here's your birthday bagger. Christina. What a girl wants. Amazing. You like it, Kristen? What a banger, guys. What an absolute.
Starting point is 00:52:26 tune. I'll tell you who doesn't look like an old girl is Christina Aguilera. No, she does not. You're right, Bree. I was born a few years after Kristen, and yet I am, 87, I am an old girl. Jesus, I did it to you again and not genuine mistakes. Can you learn something about me? Like, it's been eight years. Can you learn something about me? I know plenty. Your birthday's on February 1st and you're an Aquarius and you have a shoe size 12. You're six foot two, you're turning 40 next year, you've got two daughters, a wife, so you say. What else? What else is there to know? I know plenty.
Starting point is 00:53:07 That was all superficial stuff. There was nothing about the real me in there. Let's go to Theo. He's going to do mum's birthday banger. Hi, Theo. Hi, Theo. Hello. How old are you, Theo?
Starting point is 00:53:17 I am 10 years old. Okay, great. You're going to do mum's birthday, banger. What is mum's birthday? Oh, long-time listener. a first time caller. Oh, Theo! Oh, I love the conviction.
Starting point is 00:53:34 He was, like, confident and went for it and you nailed it. Good stuff, Theo. What's mum's name? My mum's name is Brooklyn. Brooklyn, such cool names in your family. Both of you, what is your mum Brooklyn's birthday? My mum's birthday is 12th of December, 1988. You are just crushing this, Theo.
Starting point is 00:53:57 That means mum was 16. in 2004 and here's her birthday bagger. Drop it like it's heart. Drop it like his heart. Vagher! What do you reckon, Theo? I love it. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 00:54:14 Me too. I love you and you love it as well. Yeah, yeah. Okay, wait there, guys. One more birthday bangers for Emma. Hi, Emma. Good afternoon, team. How are you?
Starting point is 00:54:23 Good, Emma. What have you been up to today? Long day at work. I'm in Christ. Church, really nice day, looking forward to the weekend. Clint's in Christchurch? I'm in Christchurch. Isn't it the most amazing day here today? It's been an absolute ripper.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Oh, totally. Friday Eve, no complaints. How, bloody good. Are you going to the cricket tonight at Hagueley Oval? I am not. Clint's got a spare ticket, don't you, Clint? Go on, Clint, give her your spare ticket. Hey, Emma, what is your birthday? 27th of August 2003.
Starting point is 00:54:58 All right, that means you were 16. in 2019 and on that day in 2019 this was number one. How is this a seven-year-old song? Crazy. That blows my mind. That's crazy, right?
Starting point is 00:55:17 That is crazy. Are we sure about Claudia's math here? Is Claudia been drinking before the show again? I'll never tell. That's definitely right though. Wow. Wow. Okay, would you like it, Emma, as your birthday banger? Yeah, it's not bad. And can I just say a long-time listener, first-time caller?
Starting point is 00:55:35 Wait a second! Yeah, you can. Oh, you snuck it in last minute, Emma. Just the way we like it. It's very good. And it's very good to have you on. It's not good enough to get over the line past. Drop it like it's hot for Theo and Brooklyn for me, though. Bree?
Starting point is 00:55:52 I've got to go with Theo and Brooklyn. Drop it like it's hot, that one birthday banger. Yay! Yes. This one's for you. guys. Thank you. You're welcome. Cutest.
Starting point is 00:56:06 Ferrell. And Snoop Dog. Thank you. From 2004, Drop it like it's hot on ZM. Thank you. Z&M's Bree and Clint podcast. That's the winner of birthday banger today for Theo and Theo's mom,
Starting point is 00:56:24 Snoop Dog, and drop it like it's hot. What a freaking tune, Thomas L. Yeah, where's that been my whole life? Well, everywhere, what do you mean? In the 2000s is where it was. Is that your first time hearing Farrell and Snoop Dog drop it like as well? This is crazy. I'd never heard of Snoop Dog until just now.
Starting point is 00:56:44 Virgin. Where have you been? I'm quite young. What a freaking loser. Oh my God. Hey, next on the show. Good news of people who hate children. The ZDM Podcast Network.
Starting point is 00:57:03 I kind of said jokingly before Big News, people who hate children. And I was only half joking, to be honest with you, Bree. I've got a question for you. If you could, would you choose to fly on a plane with no children? A plane that had no children on it at all. Was it just me flying? Yeah, obviously your son is not included.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Then of course. I feel like everyone would choose that if they could. There is a new flight being launched by JetBlue, believe is an American airline. And they are offering the adult-only experience. It's called Do Not Disturb. So you get on the flight, they guarantee there will be no children on the plane. Kind of like it seems like that movie Chitty Chitty Bang,
Starting point is 00:57:50 Bang, you know, where that guy goes around and locks up all the kids and puts them in the dungeon. Side note, how creepy is that movie where there's a guy who goes around rounding up children? It's actually terrifying. Terrifying. Terrifying. I'm still traumatized. Yeah, and why they make him so creepy too? I guess it was to discourage kids from going with strangers.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Oh, is that what it was? Yeah, of course, but I mean, wrong way to do it, I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't even get me started on that Mary Poppins horror. Holy smoke. Well, that's you got in that bag, lady. So you get on the flight, no kids, you also get a complimentary alcoholic drink on the plane, which sounds fun.
Starting point is 00:58:34 until you realize that here in New Zealand you get that on flights anyway. In America, you don't get jack, do you? You don't get anything. You have to literally pay for everything on an American flight. Yeah. They're calling it
Starting point is 00:58:47 Do not disturb. Would you be keen? No, because I don't hate children. It's not about hating children. Like, calm down. But even parents, even parents, if they were not flying with their kids, and they could have a choice between flying on an aircraft with no children
Starting point is 00:59:10 versus flying on an aircraft with children, then of course you're going to pick the one with no children. People are so dramatic. What's a kid ever done to you on a flight? Really? You put your headphones on. You might notice them at the start. Then you put your headphones on.
Starting point is 00:59:23 And yeah, they might kick your seat a little bit. But get over it, man. You just described all the things. Yeah. Do you remember? Do you remember our Amy Shire? nearly got cancelled last year for complaining about kids on the plane. Like I honestly, like obviously went on flights when kids are on there and they're screaming.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Like, I don't mind. Like, you know, they're going through enough. Those parents have enough on their plate, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Awful situation. So leave them alone. It is a difficult situation. But if you could have a choice, if there was a choice, then I'm choosing the flight with no kids.
Starting point is 01:00:00 You know? Fair enough. Yeah. on Insta, Facebook, TikTok and live weekdays from three on ZM.
