Starting point is 00:00:00 Show requested, so here it is. As long as you've got da-da-da-da. It's Z-D-M's Brean-Klin podcast. Z-M's Brean-Klint, thanks to KFC. Let's do we. ZDem's Brie and Clint. I know what we're our target. Do you.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Brie and Clint show on a taco Tuesday. What's your favorite type of taco? Fish. You did not even think about it. Love a crispy fish taco. They are delicious. Yep. Is that what you're having tonight?
Starting point is 00:00:40 I wish. You never know. You could get lucky. Ironically, tacos's not really a Tuesday night food at home, are they? Like if you were out, Taco Tuesday. Really? I don't know. We have them quite often in our house.
Starting point is 00:00:58 True. Twice as much as I've heard. We are quite into Mexican food, though. Yeah, yeah. We have fun show on the way for you. It's Ella's fourth to last show. No. She's in the emotional roller coaster.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Yesterday she was like, well, five days to go. Now she's like four days. Don't talk to me. She's on the down now. Oh, I feel like I'm on my period. Hey, our goal this afternoon is to bring you all the way back up. Into excitement. So we can either have heaps of fun with her and like distract it.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Or we can be real mean to her so then she's like, screw, this place. I do want to leave. I hate it here. You know, like when people in a relationship and they aren't brave enough to break up with the person, so they just turn into an A-hole and hope that the other person will break up with them. Is that? It's kind of like that, isn't it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Turn her microphone off. Why? Let's put her on half. Yeah. Why are you doing that? Trady versus Lady next. If you want to win $100, thanks to job space, that's what's up for grabs. you've got to be the smartest Trady
Starting point is 00:02:05 and or lady on the show this afternoon. The number you've got to call is 0,800 dials at M. Anything you want to add, Ella? Funny we could hear her. It's like a distant memory now. She's quite literally fading away. Her voice blowing in the wind. Play Zatim's Bree and Clint.
Starting point is 00:02:27 This is the main event. Traity versus ladies. Thanks to Job Space. Another great week to play Trady versus lady because the prize is double. Job space have ratcheted it up to $100 cash if you win today. They're proudly 100% New Zealand
Starting point is 00:02:44 owned. They're connecting Kiwis with opportunities since 2006 at JobSpace. If you need a job, that is the place to go look. Score update for the year. The trade is on 75. The lady's picking up a win yesterday. They're on 71. Our lady's in Topor. She's 21 and she grew up on a rural sheep
Starting point is 00:03:01 and beef farm with her three sisters. Oh my God, McLeod's daughters much. Welcome to the show, Anna. Hi, Anna. Hi. Was your upbringing similar to McLeod's daughters? Um, we can say that. Can you ride a horse, Anna?
Starting point is 00:03:18 No, I didn't actually have horses on my farm. Can you ride a sheep? I've definitely attempted it a couple times. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We all have. You're taking on our... I haven't? No? No. Just me and Anna then. Yeah, yeah. You're taking on our tragedy from Ones.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Maru, he's 23, and he can eat a Zingerberger in just one bite. Get off the grass. Welcome to the show, Harry. Hi, Harry. Good-day guys. When did you figure out you could do that? A couple years ago? We need to bring him in the studio. That's unbelievable. I need to see it for myself. So you can get the whole Zingerberger into your gob.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Yeah. And then obviously there's some... Can you get it down? Oh, it doesn't pretty, but it goes down. Yeah. There'd be a bit of chewing involved before. you swallow though, right? You say one bite, but you actually mean one mouthful. Oh, it's more like one mouthful. Yeah. He can get it around. His mouth can get around it. It's no less impressive. I'm picturing a snake dislocating its jaw to get a whole mole rat inside there, you know?
Starting point is 00:04:22 You'd be a dream for the dentist. Easy to get to the back molers. All right, Harry, your buzz is trady. Anna, lady, first of three correct answers. A hundred dollars cash from job space. luck guys. Here we go. Question number one. What colour is the label on a jar of vegemite? Trady. Yes, Harry.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Yellow. Yeah. It is yellow. Well done. One to the Trades. Question number two. Name the children's TV show that is centered around Great Dane and four teenagers who solve mysteries.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Oh, Trady. Yes, Harry. Scooby-Doo. Scooby-Doo. Scooby-Doo. Scuddy. That's right. Two to the Trades.
Starting point is 00:05:06 I want a single burger. What's a scuba snack? Anna, you're still with us? You need this one to stay in it. Here we go. This is all you. Question number three. Buzz in when you can tell me who sings this.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Ready. Harry, for the win. He's got it. Down trout. Tough day on the tools. Sheep and beef farmer, Anna. Yeah, that wasn't too good from my name. That's all right, mate.
Starting point is 00:05:36 You can always call back and try again. Harry, treat yourself. A hundred bucks cash thanks to job space coming your way. That's a lot of Zingerbergers. Yeah, I'm pretty chuffed about that, to be honest. Yeah, you would be. It's a big accolade. Yeah, it's a lot of Zingerburgers or one meal for Harry.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Trades go to 76. Ladies, stay on 71. Zat-Ans Bree and Clint Podcast. It's a devastating story of bad luck for a wallabies player, and I'm not talking about the bledders low. I'm talking about a guy named Carter Gordon who was playing in a game over the weekend and he got injured badly,
Starting point is 00:06:17 broke his leg, and obviously he's out. I think for about 10 weeks, it says. If you broke your leg, I feel like you're out for a while. Well, I think it's one of the smaller bones in his lower legs. I mean, 10 weeks is a fair amount of time.
Starting point is 00:06:34 And he's due to get married. this week. Oh no. And he's got a broken leg now. Oh no. Bad timing. Awful timing and happened in the 70th minute of the game too. His fiancé will be pissed. She would be
Starting point is 00:06:54 human. I mean test match rugby is about as hard as it gets. So there was every risk he was going to have some sort of injury at the wedding. He could have even had a black eye which would have been catastrophic. You'd probably rather him break his Legate. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Because in photos, they can prop him up. No, just crop him. Yeah. Yeah, he can stand, get in the moon boot, and then just do the photos waist up. Devastating. That's so unfortunate. But he's not going to be able to walk down the aisle. No, well, he...
Starting point is 00:07:25 He'll crutch down the aisle. Yeah, but the bloke's usually just weighed at the front. Yeah, I know, but they have to walk down there. Yeah. And then they have to walk back through the aisle once you kiss your bride. Oh, you have to walk back. Yeah, yeah. You know, and they get all those cute photos?
Starting point is 00:07:40 She can carry him. You know how the man usually carries the wife across the threshold? She'll have to carry him. Well, she's going to have to step up. Carrying to the reception, you know? Carry him to the... Piggy back him, maybe. That sucks for him.
Starting point is 00:07:55 He is the Wallaby's first five. You know he'll be sniffing around, Quaid Cooper. He's 38. He'll be going... Is he still playing? Yeah, he is still playing. Is he? Far out.
Starting point is 00:08:07 38. That's an achievement. That's unbelievable. You guys need me. That's outrageous. He even, he did a stint in the NRL. Quaid Cooper did. Didn't he? No. No? I'm getting him confused with someone else.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I don't think he did. I don't think he did. Yeah, look, this is the risk. I have recently started playing rugby again for an older men's team. I have not been on board. We have one more game for this season. I have been quite worried about you. We have one more game coming up. Because, I mean, you got a concussion walking into a pole.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Yeah, well, there's no poles on the field, is there? So, suck on that. There's brick walls. No, there's not brick walls. Oh, you mean other players. Yep. Right. Anyway, by the by, there's a guy on our team.
Starting point is 00:08:54 There's one more game this season. It's on a Friday night. There's a guy on our team who is getting married the following weekend. Right. He's not going to play. Yeah, because he's smart. He goes, no, I'd rather. And it's not.
Starting point is 00:09:07 not something where he knows it's a professional sport that he's playing. He's not playing for the Rugby World Cup. Obviously Carter Gordon who plays for the Wallabies, a little bit different. Yeah, it's his job. Whereas this guy just randomly getting together with some lads on the weekend, it's not
Starting point is 00:09:23 worth ruining his wedding for. Playing for the teachers' eastern hustlers is not the same as playing for the wallabies. I mean, look, depends what year we're talking for the wallabies. We want to know this afternoon if you were in yourself right before the big event
Starting point is 00:09:39 before your wedding. Yeah. That's the biggest event that I can think of. But if you put yourself in a moon boot the week before R&V or before you went on your OE. What about if you were meant to go to the Olympics? Oh, devastating. Yeah, but that happens.
Starting point is 00:09:56 That does happen. That happens. 0800 dials at M. I don't know how many potential Olympians we have listening to this show. I reckon we'd have a couple. Do you reckon? Should we do the phone or tomorrow? Have you been to the day?
Starting point is 00:10:07 to the Olympics. That I would love to talk to people who've been to the Olympics. Me too, actually. And not just being as a spectator. You can't catch us on this one. You had to have competed. Yeah. Olympics.
Starting point is 00:10:20 We know an Olympian. Ruby Toey. Yes. Ruby Toey. Oh, Lisa Carrington might have us on every afternoon. Who knows? You never know. Anyway, that's tomorrow, okay?
Starting point is 00:10:30 Yeah, we're doing that tomorrow. Dead is Brinkland. Training season's over for Carter Gordon, isn't it? Yes, Carter Gordon. a Wallaby's players in the news today after he broke his leg in a rugby match the same week as his wedding. Not ideal.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Not ideal. Yeah. His fiancé will be pissed. Really pissed. So not happy. Really pissed. Even though it's not his fault, still pissed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Like. I mean, worst case scenario. Totally. So we want to know, did you get injured right before the big event? Michelle is here. Hi, Michelle. Hi, Michelle. Hi, long-time listener, third-time caller.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Third-time caller, we'll take it. You can have it. Cheeky. Michelle, did you get injured before the big event? Yeah, so we went to Fiji to get married. Yeah, lovely. We went a week beforehand. Lovely.
Starting point is 00:11:28 It's so sunburnt that I ended up with sunstroke. Shut up. They're blisters. Oh, Michelle. I didn't have consummate the marriage that night. Oh! And had to go to the doctor in Fiji. Where was the majority of the sunburn?
Starting point is 00:11:43 Was it on like your face? My neck. Oh. And what kind of dress did you wear? The cat in the front. The cut in the front. What are the wedding photos like? Do you look like an over-cooked, you know?
Starting point is 00:11:59 Lobster. I look like a lobster with a white face. That's not how you want to describe your wedding photos. Pretty rough. You should chuck them into chat GPT, Michelle, and be like that and just go, No, no, he wasn't right for me. I divorced him.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Oh, right, okay. I've got the perfect man now, though. Yeah. Good on you, Michelle. It was just the... I didn't go to be able to get married. No, it was just the universe telling you that wasn't right. The universe tried to burn you into not marrying him, but you just wouldn't listen, Michelle.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Have you ever gotten that sun burnt again? Oh, God, no. Yeah, you learn your lesson, don't you? Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Oh, bless you heart. Thanks, Michelle. Let's go to Kate.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Hi, Kate. Hi, Kate. Hi. Your dad got injured before the big event. Yeah, so him and my stepmom were getting married back in 2024, and we were having the wedding at our house in this, like, big shed we've got out the back. Yeah. And we got this, like, he got this bath off Facebook marketplace.
Starting point is 00:12:55 It's like heavy, I don't know, bath thing. For the drinks? Yeah, nice. And two days before the wedding, he was moving it and got his finger caught off it and chopped the top of his finger. Oh! Not his ring finger was it, Kate. No, it was the middle finger next to the ring finger, though. So it was very careful putting the wedding ring on on the day.
Starting point is 00:13:18 How much of the finger went? It was just the top, like, kind of maybe just from the nail up. From the nail up? Yeah. Oh. The poor guy. He didn't delay the wedding or anything. Did you?
Starting point is 00:13:32 You don't do that for a finger. No, no. He just walked around with a really bandaged up finger. He could have put it the finger. And the bathtub full of ice. Full circle moment. You know how to make it feel better. Oh.
Starting point is 00:13:44 What a freak accident, eh? Thanks, Kate. Let's go to Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hello. Was it you that injured yourself before the big event? Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:55 I had a whole month-long trip plan to South Africa and we were going to hike Mount Kilimanjaro. Incredible. And I was doing all these steps on the stair climber, bought all the gear, had the hiking booths and everything. Two weeks before the flight, I went to an M83 concert and had a few too many adult beverages, ended up falling down some stairs, breaking my arm and couldn't go on the trip.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Hmm. You should miss it. You would have been the fittest person. Oh, my God. At A and A. How long, how long, how many weeks did you prepare for that trip? Oh, a few months. Wait, you can't do the hike.
Starting point is 00:14:35 You can't do the hike with a broken arm? No, you can't fly with the broken arm Oh, of course And I'm like, surely I can see a doctor over in Africa And they were like, absolutely not No, I wouldn't You must have broken it pretty badly That sucks so much
Starting point is 00:14:51 We asked, did you get injured before the big event Someone said I broke my elbow a few weeks before my wedding I wasn't meant to be in a sling I was meant to be in a sling walking down the aisle But I ditched it early Not a great look with a wedding gown Yeah, fair enough You just put up with the pain for a bit
Starting point is 00:15:06 And that one, don't you? Yeah, that's pretty hardcore, though. Someone else said, my partner broke his foot as we had just bought our new house last year. It was the worst move of my life. You'd be past. You'd be phased. You'd be phased. We moved house the last time my fiancé and I, we moved a couple of years ago.
Starting point is 00:15:24 And the week we were moving, I got COVID real bad. Oh, yeah. And like, I physically was, I could not hardly do anything. I would just kind of sat there and packed boxes and then I watched her. do like 20 trips. It's like when I fractured my elbows. Just after my daughter was born. Your wife was not impressed.
Starting point is 00:15:44 My father went through a massive glass window and cut open his chest on his stag do and it was so bad they thought that they might have to get married in the hospital church. How bad do you want to get married? Just delay the marriage. Yeah, that's pretty awful. Someone said I was the bride
Starting point is 00:16:03 and I broke my arm by falling off a wall the week before my wedding. I cut my cast off for the day and all the wedding photos to have me holding my arm in a very cautious position. I got it reset the next day in a waterproof cast for my honeymoon in Raritonga. Oh nice, waterproof cast. That woman sounds like a bad asbid. Yeah, nothing's going to stop her. No. ZD.N's Brie and Clint. I saw this clip earlier today and I wanted to ask you ladies, is this true? Is this relatable? Okay. Is this how you guys experienced the world?
Starting point is 00:16:40 Oh, look at Clint wanting to learn more about women. Yeah. About time. Yeah, exactly. See, fellas? Make a bit of effort. It goes a long way. It does go a long way. Here's the clip, okay? Okay. So I tried on the outfit that I put together in my head and it looked for shit.
Starting point is 00:16:57 So unfortunately, I won't be going. I have a good time. So my question for you ladies is that your experience. Can we hear that one more? Yeah, you can. So I tried on the outfit that I put together in my head and it looked for a shit. So unfortunately I won't be going. I have a good time.
Starting point is 00:17:17 So my question for you is, have you ever not gone to something because the outfit you are going to wear didn't look as good as you thought it would? Yep. Wow. Of course. Really? Yeah, I didn't go to our friend Liam, who does the technology at work. I didn't go to his party because I couldn't...
Starting point is 00:17:35 His birthday party? No, it was a flat party. Oh. I couldn't find a outfit. That's crazy. I had a mental meltdown. Nothing was right. Oh, the amount of mental meltdowns
Starting point is 00:17:45 I've had over outfit choice. Yeah. I've never met a man who cares less about clothing than Liam from technology either. I know. You could have literally worn a reusable new world supermarket bag. I just felt like... And he wouldn't have noticed. The clothes just felt off and it was one of those things where you try on another thing,
Starting point is 00:18:01 throw it out, trying another thing. Then your room's... Yeah, well. you're sweating, it's awful. Oh God. It is a real spiral. I didn't know this was an option. I'd just be going to things ugly.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Can we just not go? I have wondered that about you. Yeah, Brie, last thing Claudia came to, Bree said she's so brave. Good on her. You're nice of you to show up. You always look great. I have actually had an outfit meltdown in the past.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Have you? Yeah, and it was the day that I was going to meet Katie Perry. And you met Katie Perry? I've seen the photo of you and Katie Perry. You had a meltdown and you decided to go with that after. Was that the deepest V that you looked? Yeah, it was like a scoop neck singlet. Excuse you, it was not.
Starting point is 00:18:42 And you could see how bright red his entire chest and face was. It was an extra long federation plaid shirt and that's what I went with. Nice. And I was having a proper meltdown over it. And my girlfriend at the time pointed out how ridiculous I was being. And she was like, do you actually think Katie Perry gives a shit what you where. Katie Perry isn't going to remember you five seconds after you leave the room. She's probably out there right now.
Starting point is 00:19:08 She's rude from my girlfriend. Even though Clint stands by the fact, has he ever said this to you? He stands by the fact that he reckons if he was single, he could have hooked. Oh, no. It's Katie Perry. No. Rita Orra. That's who it wants.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Clint stands by the fact that Rita Orra flirted with him and he could have hooked up with Rita Orra. You know why that is though? Why? You wore the right outfit that day. Hey. Isn't that the story? Yes. But I didn't say it like that.
Starting point is 00:19:42 You've got to be careful because she lives in Auckland now. You can't just say that kind of thing. She could be listening. Rita or if you're listening. No, what I said was... Can you please clear up this story? I call B is. I've got the photo and you, it's hard.
Starting point is 00:19:55 The evidence is actually irrefutable in the photo. All I said was Rita Ora and I had a moment. Mm-hmm. In a hotel room. Oh, so you're back tracking now. And? You're back tracking. You said Rita Oura had the hots for you and you felt the vibe.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Do you think that with everyone you interview? That they all have the hots for you? Not the Katie Perry one, not in what I was wearing. Someone described me as looking like a hungry farmer. You were so red. And I was so red, yeah, yeah. Anyway. Anyway, Rita Oura, get in touch if you're listening, 96, 9-9-6.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Text me, girl. Let's get the tea. The tea. Live from L.A. with Dean McCarthy. Dean, get us across this story because Bree said it before it was not a new bingo card for 2026, but is Pink in trouble for something
Starting point is 00:20:45 she's posted? So she might be in trouble for something she's reposted. So here's the situation. McElmore is currently touring with Ed Shearin, okay? Mm-hmm. And in his performances, he has shared
Starting point is 00:20:59 basically that he is pro-Palestine and he has, I believe, even during his performance, had pictures of Gaza and things like that up on the screens, very confronting. There is a organization that is obviously blasting his performance, saying how terrible it is, and Pink reposted their posts. Right. She didn't write anything. She didn't add any of her own commentary. They said he shouldn't be doing this and all of the concert goers should get a refund, pink reposted their post. So basically that she is not in agreement with McElmore's pro-Palestine stance.
Starting point is 00:21:39 And that is where this is kind of currently sitting. People are actually calling to him to be removed from the Ed Sheeran tour. I'd love to know what, I don't know whether he should be doing a political thing. Like, I don't know whether that's the space. I don't know. Ed Shear and I, we have not heard from him, obviously. But Nakamore has not been removed from the tour yet. but there is, you know, his calls seem to be removed.
Starting point is 00:22:00 What an interesting situation. I do think that music and politics can, I think they've always, always merged together. I think protest music is really important, and he is obviously standing up for what he believes in. If you know anything about McLemore, this isn't anything new. He has always used his music to stand up for what he believes in. And obviously, he continues to do that and use his voice for that. Pink is in the crosshairs though because I'm surprised she even got involved. I wonder if she's accidentally reshared it or something like that.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Because, yeah, God. It's weird because she is, well, has she taken a stand on things before? I don't really know what Pink's politics are. Yeah, that's an interesting one. Obviously, she definitely has used her voice in her platform in the past to stand up for certain things. I don't believe I've seen her comment on this particular situation, but maybe this is her doing that. She'll say something.
Starting point is 00:23:03 She'll have to say something. Yeah, surely her people or her will come out with a statement. Yeah, right. Pink wasn't on the list of people to get cancelled in 2026. No. Here we are. That's the T with Dean McCarthy. We're back after this.
Starting point is 00:23:14 The ZM Podcast Network. Bree and Clint, a show well known for its maritime and aviation news. Not so much for its locomotive news. until now. Train news, baby. We're adding that feather to our caps. Train news. This weekend, the long-awaited CRL,
Starting point is 00:23:35 which is the subway in Auckland, the underground train, finally opens. It's train time. What a day. What a time to be alive. Isn't it? I'm so excited. This is like my Christmas.
Starting point is 00:23:46 It's very Auckland-D, but it's kind of like Christchurch with the stadium, you know? We've been waiting a long time for this. It's cost us a lot of money. Ten years. Yeah, about ten years. We've been waiting.
Starting point is 00:23:57 It was originally meant to cost two and a half billion dollars, the CRL. Did they save money? Depends how you define save. It costs five and a half billion dollars. Five and a half billion dollars. So you better bloody ride it, okay? Aucklanders, you better use it. The rest of the country, you ever come to Auckland,
Starting point is 00:24:17 you better go on that goddamn train, okay? It's like when people put a sauna in at their house and they feel the need to use the sauna every day, even if they don't like sauna. They're like, well, I've spent the money, I have to use it now. That's how we treat the train. I'm convinced our Green hates ice baths and saunas.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Yeah, yeah. Hates him, but he's like, oh, spent the money. Yeah, it's a problem, isn't it? Better use it. So it opens this weekend. Smart to open it on a weekend, you know, so you can get all the bugs out. Because imagine you go Monday,
Starting point is 00:24:45 you go, all right, time to get the new train to work. Bam, doesn't work. And that will happen, too. I need to inform my fianc. because we don't have many plans this weekend, but once I tell her about this, God, our weekend is booked. We can just ride that rail all Saturday. And you can, okay, because it's...
Starting point is 00:25:05 And Sunday. Because CRL, the L stands for loop. So you can just go around and around and around. It just got so much more exciting. So if you want to be the first on the train, because that's pretty cool to be able to say you were the first person to ever ride the train, right? That's, I mean, very cool.
Starting point is 00:25:24 I think it's cool, okay? Are you going to do it? No, but I think it's cool. Well, maybe I am actually. Let me give you the details. Do you need a hop card? Because this is where I feel like it's a handbrake for me, because I do love to ride public transport.
Starting point is 00:25:36 I find it relaxing, depending on what time of day you're riding. Early hours of the morning and late hours of the night, not so much. During the day. Like, do you need a hop card? Do you know how I know you're lying when you say I love to ride public transport? Yeah. Because if you did love to ride public transport, you'd know you can just tap your F-POS card.
Starting point is 00:25:57 See, well, I didn't, look, I'll be honest. I haven't got on public transport recently in New Zealand, if ever. Okay. It's a big transition. But I was a big user of the public transport system during my uni days. Okay. And where? In Brisbane.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Okay. Which great public transport system. If anyone from Brisbane's listing. which we used to have to have a card. And when I went to London recently, they were like, you just tap on and off with the F-Boss card. I was like, this is Jesus. So you can do that here, can you?
Starting point is 00:26:34 Yes, you can. I wouldn't know. I take my limo to and from work. Do you want to be the first one to ride the train? You can. It opens, the first trains will depart at 5 a.m. This Sunday morning, okay? You reckon people will be lining up at 5 a.m.?
Starting point is 00:26:49 I really do. I really do. The first one, the very first scheduled passenger service on the new train in Auckland, will leave Otahoo at 457 a.m on the South City Road. Actually, when was the last time you rode public transport? Saturday. Where? I got the train from my suburb into the city to collect my car.
Starting point is 00:27:14 That's because you were too intoxicated when you went to that movie on your own and you had to get the train home. Yeah. You weren't planning on getting the car. the train home. Yeah, but I still used it, didn't I? That's true. I probably would have panicked and walked home.
Starting point is 00:27:28 When's the last time you used by the transport? Literally three days ago, Bree. And before that? Shut up. And before that? I don't know. Two weeks ago when I went to the rugby? Should I quit while I was ahead. Maybe we cancelled train news. I feel like it's tearing this show apart.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Yeah, I feel like it is putting a wedge between us. It's ZM's Brie and Clint podcast. God, I really do think train news is a fail. People texting in going, Clint, the L doesn't stand for loop in CRL. It stands for Link. Okay. Wait, you're telling me it's not even a loop? No, it is a loop.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Are you sure? Because you didn't even know what the L stood for in CRL. Train news is cancelled. All right? It's all. You ruined it. You ruined it. Who?
Starting point is 00:28:16 Me? Everyone. Everyone ruined it. Okay. Okay. No more train news. God, someone's sensitive about their train news? You were the one that got it wrong.
Starting point is 00:28:25 I was going to ride the train to work on Monday so we could talk about it. Were you just? Yeah. It was. What, now you're not doing it? No. No, I don't want to. Okay, well, if you let others opinions affect your decision-making.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Don't try and nigg me. Don't try to nig me into riding the train, okay? Be your own person. Ride the train if you're going to ride the train. That's all I'm going to say. Anyway, I said I had theme park news for you before, and what I meant is, Bree, I have theme park news for you. For me?
Starting point is 00:28:54 For you. For everyone that's interested, but I feel like you specifically. There's a cheese theme park that's opening. Close. Really? Close as far as the things that you love. But don't take it from me. Take it from chairman of the NRL Peter Valandes. Well, NREL World, which is a theme park that's going to have augmented reality.
Starting point is 00:29:14 You'll be able to speak to your favourite player and he's going to be able to answer back. and it'll be something different for sport and, you know, we're looking forward to launching that in the next six months. The younger generation love playing games. So let's give them to them. Let's give them some life reality in, you know, kick a goal, pass the ball, all augmented reality.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Dream World, Sea World, NRL World. I'm so keen. Are you? NRL world, hell yes. Imagine the games that they'd have. Mm-hmm. Be awesome. One of the big selling points you would have heard Valandis say there was that
Starting point is 00:29:46 you can go and talk. talk to one of your favorite NRL players. What are they all going to live at NRL world? No, an augmented reality. So it'll be like a hologram. You can go and talk to some gronk from Newcastle and be like, hey, I love you. You're my favorite player. And he'll go, oh.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Nice to meet you. Got any peers. We just, the boys and I, we went out there, gave 110%. That's all we could do today. I don't want to be negative about everything. But it is giving off the vibe of, you know, that episode of The Simpsons where the guy comes to town and sells them a monorail? It sounds like some tech guy has gone to Sydney and gone to Peter Valandes and gone,
Starting point is 00:30:26 you know what I could do for you, augmented reality NRL world. And he's like, whoa, why would I do that? And he's gone, because kids love video games. Oh, okay. And it's only going to cost you $30 million. He's gone, oh, okay, well, that sounds good. NRL world. NRL world.
Starting point is 00:30:46 I'm keen. I think it would be a good time. Imagine you know what I would like if they could put me in an augmented reality where I could relive like a certain state of origin but I could be one of the players and I could be there
Starting point is 00:31:02 and relive those moments of certain games. Yeah. Would be pretty special. Okay, now you're talking. Okay, so if they could put you in Jonathan Thurston's boots and you could kick the winning drop kick. How amazing would that be?
Starting point is 00:31:16 The NRL grand final and then all the players rush up to you. That would actually be quite incredible, wouldn't it? Yeah. It would be awesome. And then you could have rides like where you have to run into like a certain area and then they hit you with what it would feel like to be tackled by, you know, like a front rower in the NRL. Oh, well, if we're doing feeling stuff, imagine if they did the John Hopiwati experience. Yeah, that's adults only.
Starting point is 00:31:44 That's adults only. Yeah. It's got a height and age restriction on that one. It sure does. To sign a waiver to go on with John Hopperwati experience. Let's go. It's ZM's Brinklin podcast. Next on the show we're going to play Let's Get Classical.
Starting point is 00:32:00 And it will be Ella's final round of Let's Get Classical, which means this could quite possibly be the final ever game of Let's Get Classical. It could very well be. The game is predicated on the idea that Ella knows more about music than us and has a better musical ear than us. And it got quite serious. It did get quite serious. So it turned into quite a big competition.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Yeah. Claude, you do keep track of who wins what, don't you? Yeah. I was just wondering, should we do it, as it's the last game, we should do a wrap-up. Of what the total scores are? Yeah, from over the years. That would be interesting, wouldn't it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:35 I'm only keen if I won. Imagine if we're even. Imagine if it's been a couple of years of this game and we're even. I reckon it is probably about 50-50. And this is the decider. I've got a couple weeks to back up on, but that'll take me like 30. seconds. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Yeah, we'll play a song. You get the data. Ella, Ella, you're on. All right. This is your final game. You're on, dicky. You're on. Yeah, there she is.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Yeah, there it is. You need to pick the winner, okay? Is it going to be Ella and her final ever, let's get classical? Or are Bree and Clint going to come in and crush her hopes and dream? Nah, you losers won't win. You can text Ella to 9669-9-6 or Bree and Clint to 9-6-9-6. Listen to how hard she's trying to smack talk.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Yeah, you suck. I'm really not good at Smack Talk. Okay, let me try. Oi, you over there in the corner, you think you're going to win? Yep. Nah. You suck. I don't know what to say.
Starting point is 00:33:30 No. So just stop. There's 50 KFC chicken dollars up for grabs if you correctly pick the winner. Let's hope her let's get classical gameplay is better than that. Yeah. Play Z-N's Breene Klint. Bring and Clint. Let's get.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Classical. Could be the final ever, let's get classical, because this is Ella's final week. People are still finding this out. Every time we mention it, they text in and they go, what? Where's Ella going? Yeah, someone said,
Starting point is 00:33:58 I don't know about that life decision. Yeah, well, she's going to Uganda to raise orphaned guinea pigs. So how do you feel now? Exactly, right? Yeah. You can't stand between a girl and her calling. She's going to be a grating carrot. It's going to be a guinea pig shepherd.
Starting point is 00:34:13 First one. Ella, guinea pig. That's me, baby. So let's get classical one more time where we guess popular songs in classical style. Claudia, did you manage to find out what the leaderboard is for the entire history of this game? I've got you the last three years, which is I think is the number of years that we've played it. So in 2024, it was 19 points to Bru and Clint, 23 to Ella. Nice.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Aller on top for that one. Last year, 27 to Brian Clint, 17 to Ella. Whoa, pantsing. Bad year for Ella. Yeah. Bad year for you, Ella. The crazy thing is I hadn't added up this year scores until just now. You have 11 each.
Starting point is 00:34:55 11 each. For the year. Shut the year. No way. So shall we treat this as year three, the decider of year three? Yeah. Seeing as we've got a year each. Oh, a lot on the line.
Starting point is 00:35:07 It's kind of the decider of the whole thing then because you're tied. That's what I mean. For the whole thing. That's what I mean. Okay. That's crazy. Let's do it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Well, you obviously know how it works. in with your name, tell me the name of the song and the name of the artist. First team to two correct songs wins everything. Are we ready? Ready. No pressure. Yeah, no pressure. It's just for fun.
Starting point is 00:35:27 I need to get my Hulk out. Hang on. Do you call your poo's Hulk? No, like my competitive. If your poos are green, you need to get that check. I will. That might be spinach, but could be something else. Let's just play, okay?
Starting point is 00:35:44 Here we go. Here's your first song. Mm-hmm, Ella. Ella, just, um, Bruno Myers, just the way you are. She's got it. Yep, that's it. I didn't even barely hear it. I heard nothing in there.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Yeah, I like that you rebuzz, even though it's a run of your turn. Ella, your one win away from taking out the whole thing. Don't give it to me. Are you trying? We're trying, yeah, we're trying. Good. I want to win with a win.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Ella, you're going to win with a win right now? No, I think it's wrong, but I was going to say a Hall of Fame. No, great guess, really good guess. Free guest, Bree and Clint? Oh, I had it there. Just as that little piano. I got nothing. No, I have to go again.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Okay, we're all back in. Oh, it's right there. Ella? Ella. See you again, Charlie. Puck! Yeah. I was nowhere.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Ella did it. Made ugly Bree and Clint to come out on top. And thank God she did it because there wasn't a single text for Bree and I this week. All wanted Ella to go out on a win And Maya, you correctly did it, picked Ella so you get 50 KFC chuggin dollars. Maya! Maya?
Starting point is 00:37:25 No, we'll get hold of Maya later. She's speechless. Congratulations, Ella. Congrats, Ella, well deserved. What a song to go out on. Now we watch her drive away. That's you, Ella, your family. Stop, don't be nice to me.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Oh, Christ. ZDM's Bree and Clint Podcast. Here's the situation. My sister-in-law has sent me a message this morning saying, do you know what's happening at your parents' house at the moment? And I said, I have no idea what you're talking about. So her and my brother have gone to visit my parents in lovely Stanthorpe, Queensland over the weekend. Kim, my sister-in-law and my brother, as they've walked into the house,
Starting point is 00:38:08 they were greeted with a smell. And Kim said it was, what she recorded? as quite a recognisable smell. And both her and my brother were like, what is that? They soon realized that my parents had planted some new trees out the front of the main doorway of the house. My sister-in-law said to me,
Starting point is 00:38:36 they've planted trees that are known to give off a smell that is of a bodily fluid only men produce. Yeah. We're being very careful with the wording here. And I've looked it up. The particular tree, and they've planted multiple, by the way, they've planted multiple ornamental
Starting point is 00:38:58 pear trees, which according to the research I've done have been given a nickname that I can't repeat on radio. Starts with sea. Starts with sea. Sea trees. Sea trees. And they are known to smell and have a pungent
Starting point is 00:39:15 aroma that is very similar to a bodily fluid that comes from a man. Is your mother aware of the type of trees that she has planted? This is what I don't know. Yeah. And I think we need to call her and ask her if she knows what her and my father have done. She, if she doesn't, she's going to be mortified. She is. And if she does.
Starting point is 00:39:34 Hello? Hello? Hello? What's going on? Not much. How are you? You're on the radio right now, Mum. Hey, do I?
Starting point is 00:39:42 Oh, am I? Yes. Hi, guys. How are you going? Yes, we're good. Hey, look, a bit of a courtesy call for you this afternoon, Mum. I got a message. I'm not going to say who from, but I got a message from someone about something you and dad have done there at the house.
Starting point is 00:40:00 And I just wanted to call you to see if you realize the mistake you've made. Oh, okay. I've got no idea what you're talking about, but fill me in. Okay, great. Are there any particular... new plants that you have planted around the house recently? Planted around the house. Any trees that you might have planted?
Starting point is 00:40:24 No. Any sort of bushes with a strong fragrance? Big Steve. Big Steve. Are you there? Oh. I certainly am. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Good day, Steve. Bree's Dad. Hi, Dad. Good day, guys. How are you? They're the trees that I'm talking about. They're known as ornamental pear trees. How many of those have you planted?
Starting point is 00:40:44 aren't it dead? There's six in the front and six in the front and I think another six or eight at the back. Okay, so quite a few of the trees. I know that they're in blossom at the moment. How would you describe the smell of the trees? Do they smell like anything? I call them my poo-by-poo smelling trees. Oh, shut up, Steve.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Oh, poo. Oh, poo. Oh, poo. No. It's horrible. It's a very, very. very, very, very strong smell. He opened a fort door the other day and I thought the cattle had been in the front yard.
Starting point is 00:41:20 Okay, so you think cattle. Question, is it a recognisable smell for you, Mum? Why? Does it bring back memories of anything? Yeah, does it smell like anything in particular? Have you smelled that smell recently? Yeah. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:41:37 Do you, are you guys aware as to what those trees are nicknamed? No? Why don't they nicknamed? The ornamental pear tree has the nickname in Australia c***in trees. Oh, no. No, Brianna, they... That's not right.
Starting point is 00:41:59 No, I'm being dead serious with you. This is not a wind up. This is not a wind up at all. You've got half a dozen sq trees out of front and then another half a dozen stu-trees up your back in. You've got a deculate trees all over the property. Oh, Priyana.
Starting point is 00:42:19 What a dad samer. Oh. Oh. No. Not those type. No. No. They're not on ships.
Starting point is 00:42:29 They're going to open the front door again at the moment. That's, oh, that's, you've come. They're absolutely beautiful if you can't smell anything. Yeah. Can I just say, Di, you did a wonderful job of pretending to not recognize the same. We almost believed you. But you know how you smell something? You think, what is that smell?
Starting point is 00:42:51 I can't quite put my finger on it. I don't want to know anymore. There's good news, guys. To remove the smell, you obviously want to know how to get rid of the smell, don't you? Yeah. Yeah? You just go and get a tree vasectomy. Mm.
Starting point is 00:43:05 It's a simple procedure. Yeah. Simple procedure. Just a quick snap. Little snip, snip, and it'll get rid of that smell. I think I'll give them a lobotomy as well. It's called ring marking. That's what it's called.
Starting point is 00:43:19 Dead set true story though, guys. This is not a wind-up. That is what those trees are nicknamed and you've got a bunch of them in your front-end backyard. No, Brianna. I reckon I'm going to go and look it up now because I reckon this is a G-up. It's a C-Up, that's for sure.
Starting point is 00:43:36 The CDM's Brie Anclent. Evening, everybody. Brie and Glenn, if you just need a morale boost, right now. I just want you to look out the window, wherever you are. Realize the fact that it's three minutes past 5pm and it's full sunlight. Well, where we are, it's full sunlight. Yeah, it wouldn't be? I know.
Starting point is 00:43:53 The rest of the country? In summer, it gets dark later in the South Island. I don't know about right in this part of the season. Closer to the equator. Surely, surely. Surely everyone's got the sunlight right now. We're closer to the equator. No, we are closer to the equator.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Yeah. South Island closer to Antarctica. Antarctica. Yeah, yeah. That's why it's colder. Yeah, it's why it's called the South. Yeah. South Pole. No, it's proximity to Antarctica isn't why it's...
Starting point is 00:44:21 Oh, where is it? I think it is. Is it? I think so. Yeah, it's closer to the bottom of the earth. Oh, that'll be why Northland's hotter. Yep, that is right. Anyway, look outside right now.
Starting point is 00:44:34 I can't tell if he's being serious. I can't tell if you're being serious. I'm being dead serious. I believe that the South Island is colder because it's close. to Antarctica. But that doesn't track with your flat earth sentiment. Shut up. Now you're trying to deflect about the fact that you just learnt why the South
Starting point is 00:44:53 Islands colder. I didn't say that. Stop gaslighting me. When did I say that? What? Oh my God. Claudia, am I going crazy? Is this baby brain?
Starting point is 00:45:05 Am I experiencing baby brain? Are we both going crazy? Wait. Who is, who's sighted? you on. The south is colder, the north is warmer because of the equator and the north and south. Yes, that's what I'm saying. Exactly right. Clint only just realised that, but now he's trying to backtrack and say that he knew that all along. Let's disagree to disagree, okay? No, no. We're not agreeing to disagree. Okay, you're right. If that's what you need to hear. You're right. I am wrong
Starting point is 00:45:35 about so much on the show and you're always right. So when you are wrong and I teach you something, I relish in it. It's getting a bit heated in here. I reckon we just stick a pin in it. We're going too far north. I think it's because we're in the North Island. Hey, next on the show, you're going to love this. Bree has sent a very loving message for her partner to the wrong person.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Not just anyone. Someone who I admire and adore and they're famous. You said a celebrity, yeah. Yep. What an idiot. I want to know if there was a picture involved as well. Oh, no. Daddy Franklin.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Good news, guys. We've had text in. It says, guys, guys, it's daylight in Southland. So we've cleared that all up, okay? Daylight everywhere right now. Everyone's getting the benefit. Everybody get the benefits. Which is great.
Starting point is 00:46:21 We do love spring. Look, I made a very bad error today. I thought I was texting my fiancé. Turns out I wasn't texting my fiancé. Uh-oh. And I was texting not just a friend of mine. but a friend of mine who is also famous. Oh.
Starting point is 00:46:46 In someone who I adore and love very much. Yeah. So look, full transparency. I need to set up. Wasn't Ursula Carlson, was it? No, it wasn't. You weren't sending steamy text to Ursula Carlson. She would lap it up.
Starting point is 00:46:58 It's not a steamy text. It wasn't a steamy text. It's worse, in my opinion. Okay. It's like a soppy, sappy text. Oh, Ursula Carlson would not appreciate that. She would have ripped me a new one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:10 So look, full transparency, obviously in our household, we have a six week old newborn. So a lot of changes happening in our household, good days and bad days. It's an amazing thing becoming a parent for the first time, but it's also hard. It's a roller coaster. It is a roller coaster of emotions. And I've been doing everything I can to look after my fiancée, Sophia, and, our son Toto. I've just been doing everything I can to support her, which has meant, I think, my mental health has gone a little bit by the wayside. So I've had a couple of bad days here.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Understandable, yeah. Right. Anyway, my partner has identified that. And a huge thing for me is an active service. And today I was super stressed and I was like, I need to do this. And I've got so much to do because I'd woken up early and I'd taken Toto out of the room so she could sleep. And so I've been, you know, I had the baby all morning. I was trying to keep him quiet so I didn't have time to do all this other stuff. Anyway, she's recognised that and she has made my lunch for me. That's so nice. Which is like a huge thing for me, you know.
Starting point is 00:48:24 And I didn't realize she'd done that. She's gone and took Toto for a play date with some of her friends. And I was like, stressed and I was like, oh, my lunch. and I've opened the fridge and here's my lunch sitting for me. Oh, ma'am. It's really sweet. And I cried. I get it.
Starting point is 00:48:42 I had a little cry. And I was like, that's so nice. And so... I'm been to be making you lunch. I said I'm going to be looking after you. And I felt very, yeah, very seen. And anyway, I was running late. So I got in the car.
Starting point is 00:48:56 And as I was walking to work, I was like, I'm going to send her a nice message to tell her how much I appreciate it. Yeah. And so I've opened up my phone. And do you want to hear what the text? Yeah, go on. Okay. So the text was, where is it?
Starting point is 00:49:15 There's been a few back and forth now. So I said, when I saw that you'd made my lunch today, I cried. Thank you so much. It means the world to me. I love you. So sent that text. That's nice. And I was like, sent?
Starting point is 00:49:32 and as I've sent it I've looked back at the top of the message and realised that I had actually text Kaylee Bell They're so good Immediately panicked It was like, how do I have sent it? Why did she send into Kaylee Bell?
Starting point is 00:50:06 Because I had been texting Kay. Her name is even closest to Sophia in the dictionary Not even close but she, I had been texting. her this morning about something else. So she was first in my text list. Okay. And I, my brain, I'm just so tired. Yeah, Kaylee Bell on the brain.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Nope, Kaylee Bell, literally, boots and all. Oh, that's so good. And so I've just automatically, because normally my partner's at the top, so I've opened up the text conversation and sent it to her. What did Kaylee Bell say? Kaylee Bell was really nice because I was, I fully panicked. Yeah. and was like, how embarrassing?
Starting point is 00:50:43 And I was like, how do I unsend it? How do I unsend it? And after like five minutes, I realized you can unsend it. Oh, okay. And so I've unsent it. But then it says in the text thing, you unsent a message. Yeah, yeah. And then she was like, did you just unsend something?
Starting point is 00:51:00 And then she said, I didn't see anyway. I was deep in a week's worth of washing. And I have the feeling that she has seen it. She's just trying to make you feel better. nice because that's the type of person she is. It could have been so much worse. I'm sure there are messages that you would much rather, you would rather,
Starting point is 00:51:18 you would much less rather you had sent to Canada. Yeah. At least it wasn't like, I mean, what would you rather, I feel like a raunchy text devastating. Also like where you're having a fight or an argument, like if you send, oh, that's awful as well. The one that I've fallen for in the past is sending a message that was intended for my partner.
Starting point is 00:51:39 to a friend but in there. Talking about them? No, no. Using their cutesy only between us too that no one else is meant to ever hear a nickname. I sent it to the wrong person. Wait, what's the nickname? No, I'm not going to tell you.
Starting point is 00:51:54 What's the nickname? No, I'll never tell you. I'll never tell you, but I send it to probably the worst person. I send it to Drunemia. And he ripped me something chronic for it. Producer Claude. Actually, no, it's all right. I'm going to message Drew Nehmi.
Starting point is 00:52:09 me here and see if he remembers what the nickname was. We want to know from you guys. I know 800 dials at em. It's a classic. It's happened to everybody. Did you send the message to the wrong person? And what was the message? Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:21 What did it contain and who did you send it to? Like, I've just thought about it. You know, when you're thinking about someone and you're bitching about them. Yes. And let's say. That is the, yeah. And then you automatically your brain sends it to that person. Or you send the screenshot of the message.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Oh, even worse. The conversation with that person to the person. person? Yeah. The worst. So, so tell us about it. Vint, get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:52:45 Z-D. N's Brinclin. So we want to know who did the message accidentally go to. Sam's here. Hey, Sam. Hi, Sam.
Starting point is 00:52:52 Hello. What happened, mate? So, bear in mind, I was 21 at the time. Okay. A guy asked me on a date and I was a little bit self-absorbed
Starting point is 00:53:03 and I wanted to decline because I found out he had no hair. Oh. Okay, yeah. So me and my best friend had a Snapchat story that only each other could see. Oh, no. We sent vlogs to each other.
Starting point is 00:53:16 I posted it to my main story about how I didn't want to go on a date with this guy because he had no hair. Oh, did he see it? And I was going to fake having COVID. He saw it. No! Please tell me in like a full circle, then you felt bad so you went out on a date and now you've been together for years. No, you don't go on a date with someone because you feel bad?
Starting point is 00:53:37 No, I just let him ghost me. Yeah. But hey, it was a teaching moment because I can hear the remorse in your voice, Sam. So, you know. Yes. And that's the main thing, Sam. Yeah. Is that these are all learnings.
Starting point is 00:53:49 First time caller. And? Long. Oh, long time. There's a long time. There we go. First time call. Thanks, Sammy.
Starting point is 00:54:02 We appreciate it. Let's go to Anonymous. Hi Anonymous. Hi. Anonymous. Hi. The text went to the wrong person, Anonymous. Give us the details.
Starting point is 00:54:11 So I had just started recently seeing a. guy and we were sending some playful messages. Fun. You know, the day before and I went to send him a raunchy message with a photo, half-naked photo. Oh. And I sent it to a group of my full body, but with lingerie on. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:31 I completely naked. Yeah. And I sent it to a group of my staff. And I was the general manager. Oh. You were the general manager. You didn't just send it to one person. You sent it to the whole.
Starting point is 00:54:44 staff? No, it was a group of five of like, you know, a group chat that we had. And luckily they were people I had very good relationships with, but I, it was the middle of the workday. I could see them all receive it because we had glass partition doors. Oh my God. And one was in a meeting, like, online, and I could see their faces and I had to call them into a meeting and like explain and apologize. Anonymous. It was just lucky that we had.
Starting point is 00:55:14 to open up and swallow you whole in that moment. It was so awkward. It couldn't have been more awkward than that. Did anyone reply to the text? I didn't really give them a chance and managed to get some of them to delete it. You're just like, emergency meeting? Emergency meeting! No one look at your phone.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Pretty much. That's exactly what I had. I want to know, because it's a real vibe killer, but did you ever end up sending the raunchy photo to the person that you were dating? Because you've gone to all this trouble to take the picture. No. after that, I was like, I'm never doing that again. Like, I'm not risking that.
Starting point is 00:55:48 You poor thing, anonymous. In good news, I'm still good friends with all of those people, and they give me a lot of grief about it. It's a longstanding joke these days. Hey, well, at least you can laugh about it. You feel better. Yeah. That's the main thing.
Starting point is 00:56:01 I saw Bree's Werenchy photos on her phone once. Why are we bringing this up again? Don't listen to him. Reopened her photo, her gallery, her camera roll. Clint's making up stories again. No, I saw them. Uh-huh. I was trying to make Brie feel better.
Starting point is 00:56:16 I'm not trying to make her feel worse. You've dragged me down into this as well, Anonymous. Thanks Anonymous, we love it. We said, when did the message go to the wrong person? Someone said, I did that just now. I vented about my mother-in-law and then I sent it to her. Devastating and very awkward the next time we see each other. The mother-in-law is so awkward.
Starting point is 00:56:39 It might be one of the worst to accidentally send it to them. Would you rather send a vent about the mother-in-law? to the mother-in-law or would you rather send a raunchy message to the mother-in-law? Raunchy. 100%. Because you can come back from that. Yeah, true. There's no malice, is there?
Starting point is 00:56:52 Nah. It's just like, oh, whoops, you can laugh about it. What about this? I just sent a photo of my speeding fine to my mum, who absolutely ripped me as it was supposed to go to my partner. Yeah. Oh, no. I sent a Snapchat of my now wife with her dressing gown open flashing me to her family
Starting point is 00:57:12 Snapchat. group. Genuine mistake, but boy, there were some reactions. Who were you meant to Snapchat it to? Was it meant, yeah, who were you going to send that to? If you've taken the photo of her, who are you meant to Snapchat it to? Yeah. Hi guys, I need to be anonymous. I was texting my boyfriend at the time about how much I loved the thing we did that morning. Turns out, I was actually texting my roommate. She said, oh, really? I didn't know that we had that kind of relationship. I was so embarrassed. Yeah, it's so awkward because then they would have been like, oh, I was here this morning.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Yeah. I know what you guys were doing. We didn't do that. So many people texting through. Someone else said, what about when you send the email to all staff? I did that recently. It's so embarrassing. What did you send all staff?
Starting point is 00:58:05 It was about our friend who was leaving. And there was some leaving drinks. and I said, and they said there'll be a tab open from four to six and I think I said, make sure there's still a tab at seven because the Bree and Clint show will be arriving thirsty.
Starting point is 00:58:23 And I sent it, I replied all by mistake. And about six people went, hey, you know there's like management and shit on this email. Everyone's like, boom, a Clint, add it again. So buy your own drinks, Clint, you tight ass. Dead Am's Breed Clint,
Starting point is 00:58:39 podcast. All I want from my birthday is a birthday banger. Birthday bangers, this is our birthday banger laboratory where we figure out your birthday bangers. Yeah, we're mixing up birthday banners. That's right. We're concocting bangers. With our bunsen burners.
Starting point is 00:59:01 Yeah, and our beakers. And our test tubes. And our flasks and our peterie dishes. Very good, that's enough puns. Let's go to cat. Hi, Kat. Hi, Kat. Hi.
Starting point is 00:59:12 How's your day been, Kat? Oh, not too bad, thank you. I'm so excited to be on birthday banger. I love this segment. Oh, amazing. Oh, well, we're excited to have you, Cat. That's such a lovely compliment. Hey, what is your birthday?
Starting point is 00:59:27 My birthday is the 15th December, 1983. I reckon you're destined for a great one. I want everyone to get a good one, but I really want Kat to get a good one. Me too. That means you a 16 cat. In 1999, she loves the segment. Let's hope for a goodie. Come on.
Starting point is 00:59:45 Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. It's a banger, cat. You've got to be happy with that. That's a banger. That's worth the wait.
Starting point is 00:59:57 I'm very happy. Good. You're in the lead. Wait there, okay? We're going to do Harriet's mum's birthday banger. Hi, Harriet. Hi, Harriet. Hi.
Starting point is 01:00:06 How old are you, Harriet? I'm 10. You're 10. Okay. So a bit young to do your birthday banger yet, but you're here to do mums. What's her birthday? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:15 19th of September 1984. Oh, it's coming up that means. Your mum was 16 though, Harriet, in the year 2000, and let her know that this is her birthday banger. Another banger. Bop from the Bomb Funk MCs. Does mum like it? Yeah, she says it's all right.
Starting point is 01:00:44 She's on the fence. What's mum's name, Harriet? Emily. Emily. Okay. Very good. Wait there. You could be our winner.
Starting point is 01:00:51 We'll go to Diven. Hi, Diven. Hi, how are you? Good, Devin. How's your day been? Fantastic, thank you. Good to hear. What is your birthday?
Starting point is 01:01:01 27th of May 2001. All right, that's easy math for me. You were 16 and 2017. And back on your 16th birthday, this was a day. at the top. DJ Callard. Yes, this was a tune. We were stuck in a DJ Caled time warp when this came out.
Starting point is 01:01:22 And this was huge. What do you reckon, Devin? It's very grey. I think I like cats better though. Yeah, same. This was a crazy song though. It was DJ Caled, Justin Bieber, Cuevo, Chants the Rapper and Lil Wayne. Yeah, like how many people did they want on the damn song?
Starting point is 01:01:40 It's very Gemini, isn't it? Very Gemini. Very much so. It feels like quantity over quality. Yeah. Just throw them all on there. Put them all on there. It'll have to be a hit.
Starting point is 01:01:50 I'm going with Kat. I'm going with Kat too. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. After she said she loved this segment, but not only that. Not only because of that. She had a fantastic birthday banger. Cat, you've just won birthday banger. And we appreciate you listening, Kat.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Worth the way. Here's Brittany from 1999 on Z-N with Brian Clintz. Baby, baby, how was I supposed? The ZDM Podcast Network. It's a Tuesday, and you know the tradition on a Tuesday we go searching for a Name in a Haystack! Hardest game and radio. We got super excited last week that we were going to do it on the $4,000 round.
Starting point is 01:02:35 But it wasn't to be. It's just because God doesn't want us to win it yet. No, he wants us to really earn it. Does he want us to win on Ella's $4,000? final ever name in a haystack. Ella, you've been a part of this since the start. 2024. Wouldn't that be special?
Starting point is 01:02:51 What a lovely send-off that would be for you. That would be a radio highlight for sure. Imagine if you leave and then whoever replaces you, they win it on their first week. And they haven't earned it. No, they haven't earned it, but they're like, what are you guys talking about? This game's easy.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Pigs of piss. Well, it is what it is. You're going to help us achieve it this week. We're going to give away. So the concept guys, random name selected by one producer, which this week will be Ella. Yes.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Random business, Celeste selected by the other producer, which this week is Claudia. We then call that business. If that name answers, today, they'll win $4,050. Ooh-l-la. Damn. So Ella? So I've been notoriously really bad at the names. What?
Starting point is 01:03:30 No. No, not you. Did you get that from? What? That's crazy, man. I'm going to end up on a bang. I'm just going to do it after one of my favorite artists. Ezekiel.
Starting point is 01:03:41 No. Roll model. Little Mars. sex. How did you know? Somber. No, I feel like this is fine, but I'm looking for Billy after Billy Eilish. I'm happy with Billy?
Starting point is 01:03:51 Billy's cute. Billy's good. Billy can be a boy. Billy is androgynous. Yep. You guys get too happy with that. The second name of my son, I'll just point out. Oh, true.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Oh, yeah. I thought you mean another son's coming. Your second son. No. My current son. Name of my second son. Okay. Okay, Claudia.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Where does Billy work? We hope that Billy works at the Star Dome Observatory in Auckland. No. Oh, what is the Star Dome? Have you not been? No. It's a big telescope in Cornwall Park. And you get to be in these like 4D chairs where they show you how the universe looks.
Starting point is 01:04:23 It's so cool. It's cool. We're not selling it to you. Yeah, no. Key, I'm going to go this weekend. Kids go there on school trips. Fun. People go there on edibles.
Starting point is 01:04:33 It's great. It's got something for all. Claudia, please connect us to the Stardome Observatory in Auckland where if Billy answers the phone, they'll win 4,050. Here we go. Good luck, everybody. Good luck. Good luck, Ella. Jorra, Tefatu, you're speaking with you. Hi, Theo. It's Bree and Clint calling from Zidem. How are you? Hi, Theo.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Yeah, not too bad. How are you guys? Yeah, good. Thank you. We got a silly old game that we play on this show, Theo, where we call random places and we try and pick the name of the person that's going to answer the phone. And we picked you guys out today, and the name that we chose was Billy. I hate to disappoint. Yeah, I know. No, Billy's work there, Theo?
Starting point is 01:05:19 No, sorry. I hate to disappoint you, but if your name was Billy, you would have won four grand. That's a shame. You've really disappointed him now. No, no. I'll have to let my parents know that they let me down today. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, she goes way back to them.
Starting point is 01:05:36 They let you down. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. Ask if Billy was in the consideration list for names. But, all right, we appreciate you. Thank you for your time. Thanks, Theo. No, as at all.
Starting point is 01:05:45 Okay. Theo sounds lovely. At least he had a cool name, you know? Yeah. You can't be mad at Theo. That's a cool name. Oh, Ella. Oh, Ella.
Starting point is 01:05:54 Oh, well, Ella. I'll just be a normal listener, listening to the radio. Can we please? Going, this game's stupid. I've just had an idea. Yeah. When I'm speaking, like I'm being positive, when this game does go off and it will.
Starting point is 01:06:09 Someone eventually has to win. Yeah, yeah. Can we throw a celebratory. party. Because I feel like we deserve it and obviously Ella will be invited. No, you know what we need to do. We need to go and deliver a novelty check. An enormous novelty
Starting point is 01:06:23 check. And does that novelty check come with a party? Can we do it in a barn? Like a hoe down? Oh! I'm keen. Can you get a miniature party? I just think when you work so hard for something you deserve to celebrate when you finally get a result. Oh my gosh. I'll be the mower. At the party.
Starting point is 01:06:40 I can do a really good move. Okay, maybe we don't have to invite Ella. No, she'll be gone. We'll try again next week. Next, though, there's a new version of, remember the micro-wave? But I still need a bit of milk, full fat, which I've warmed in the micro-wave. How could we forget? There's a new micro-wave. And by that, I mean a new way to pronounce a word that we've all been saying forever.
Starting point is 01:07:04 I'm keen to hear it. This time it's Spider-Man who has changed the saying. Okay. And we'll hear about it after Stella Lefty. It's ZM's Bree and Clint Podcast. Sorry, if that was a shock before and you haven't heard the news. I've been drip-fining it in that Ella is leaving. This is her last week on the show.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Someone just said, where the hell is producer Ella going? Her resignation is declined. Yeah, so, Ellie, you're going to have to go and tell management. Okay, they're staying. I'll do that right now. Yeah, to unclear out your desk. That'd be nice, okay? Hey, remember when Nigella Lawson reinvented the name for the microwave a couple of years ago?
Starting point is 01:07:41 But I still need a bit of milk, full fat, which I've warmed in the micro-wa-vei. I would argue that we got it wrong and it shouldn't be called microwave and she got it right. If anyone would know, it's celebrity chef Nigella Lawson. Just a more fun way to say microwave. It did kind of catch on too. Like from time to time we will refer to it as the micro-wave. Now there is a new star trying to change the way that we say another very common. word and this time it's Spider-Man.
Starting point is 01:08:15 Tom Holland? No, Spider-Man. Like, as in the character? No, Spider-Man. Spider-Man's not a real person. Andrew Garfield, okay? I was trying to get you to go through all the Spider-Man's. Andrew Garfield was asked in an interview what his opinion is of people getting Botox,
Starting point is 01:08:36 and this is what he said. I want to tread a bit carefully here because I have obviously a very particular belief that it would be great if we lived in a society where no one felt the pressure to do anything to the FACES. But unfortunately I understand that we are in a society where there is a pressure to do stuff to the FACES especially for the women.
Starting point is 01:08:54 To the what? To the FACES. Is he trying to say face? FACES. Faces. Faces. Faces. According to Andrew Garfield. I hate it. I hate it too. I hate it so much. I feel like he said women at the end. He said women.
Starting point is 01:09:11 Women quite weird. Yeah, he did. You can't change two words in one interview. Pick a word and try and change that. Yeah, or else it gets way too confusing. Also, people in the comments were like, don't you have a go at Botox when you've had a hair transplant? I was like, Jesus.
Starting point is 01:09:28 Hurry out. Poor Andrew Garfield, just out here trying to support people aging naturally. Yeah. Gets torn a new one. Well, can't we just take him with Fart Chey value? I don't know if Farchase is going to catch on I don't think it'll catch on It's ZM's Brie and Clint podcast
Starting point is 01:09:47 And that's the end of the Brie and Clint show I'm excited because there's a fresh episode of Colin from Accounts on tonight It's the last one I believe It's the final episode ever which is bittersweet But I'm excited for it Might start the show again from the start You should
Starting point is 01:10:00 And it's just skipped season two Yeah I saw that The two main characters spoke out about When they filmed the last episode Yeah. And the director, once they had called a rap, was like, that's it. That's a rap on Colin from accounts.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Yeah. And how everyone in the room just felt real sad. Yeah, you would. Yeah. Because I feel like three seasons, you're not at the point where you're like, oh, we know we've done it all. No. I wonder why they decided it was three seasons. So I actually heard them speak about this because the two main characters from Colin from accounts,
Starting point is 01:10:40 excluding Colin the dog. There are a couple in the show, their husband and wife in real life. Wait, the two main characters are they together in real life? Yeah, did you not know that? Are they? Yeah, yeah. So they are married.
Starting point is 01:10:55 It's been a project that they have written and created together. This final season, I don't know if it's been the way, the whole way through, but this last season, they had turn about writing each episode. Right. So she wrote one, he wrote one, she wrote one, he wrote one. And they said to them, this show is fantastic. If you were offered a crazy amount of money, would you continue with it?
Starting point is 01:11:14 And they both said, no. They said, no, no. It's enough. Yeah, well, that's what the people from Ted Lasso said, too. Oh, and they should have stopped. You're so mean. They should have. You what, how many episodes did you watch?
Starting point is 01:11:27 Three. No, you didn't. I did. Did you actually? I did. I watched three episodes, yeah. And you hated it. It's the worst decision they ever made.
Starting point is 01:11:36 I should have left it. It was fantastic. And they've ruined it. Anyway, calling from accounts TV and Z Plus. Go watch that tonight. Definitely don't watch that awful Ted Lassau reboot though. Your word's not mine. Play ZM's Brian Clint on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and live weekdays from 3 on ZM.
