Starting point is 00:00:00 Show requested, so here it is. As long as you've got da-da-da-da. It's ZM's Breanclin podcast. ZDM's Breanclint, thanks to KFC. Hey! Zat-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-Dak. This is how. Zat-M's Brea-Klin.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Afternoon, everybody. Welcome to the Brea and Clint show. Hello, guys. Happy Wednesday. You know, when your social media is influencing you to do something and it keeps giving you the same thing, and so you should do this. Is it that pump again you always get? That's always on your feed.
Starting point is 00:00:32 I say just buy it. Give it a go. I mean, it can't hurt, right? Yeah, the pump. It's not like it can get smaller. Oh, thanks, Bree. That's the encouragement I needed. You're welcome.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Thanks for the pump up. No worries. I'll pump up your tires anytime. Might be even lamer than that. My social media keeps convincing me trying to convince me to get a perm. Oh, really? You even came to me. Every fourth video.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Look, one of the... The fourth video is guys with my hair going, my life's better since I got a perm. One of the first things I did for you when we started this show was I organized a perm for you and you were so, so defensive. You were like, I don't want to do this. I'm not getting a perm and now look at you. Yeah, I wasn't ready for it.
Starting point is 00:01:16 You're ready now. Yeah. I vote you get one. Producers, who votes yes? Absolutely. You look great. Yep. Yeah, but I don't trust you guys because you don't have my best interest.
Starting point is 00:01:27 No, Clint. How do you? What about me just trying to encourage you to get them? No, you want me to look silly. As if. That's just a buy product. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because I soft launched it with my wife.
Starting point is 00:01:38 I was like, oh, what a bit? Man, be crazy if I got a perm, eh? That'd be so weird. And she was like, it would be weird. You would look like this person that we know, and you would look like this person that we know. I can't say. Who's got someone with curls?
Starting point is 00:01:53 But she picked the right people. No, people who would get a perm is who she chose. But I mean there's a lot of... She picked the right people to put me off. You know? They're like, do you want people to think that you are like such and such? And I was like, oh, you got me. God, they're good wives, don't they?
Starting point is 00:02:08 They know exactly how to build you up and tear you down. Look, I think that Lucy is right 99% of the time. She's a very smart woman. I think she might have missed the mark on this one. I think it could elevate your look. Because you know what they say. Curls, get the girls. Yep. Pimms.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Get this. Spurs. So it's good with men and women. Good show on the way for you guys today. We're going to get straight into Trady versus Lady. There's 50 bucks cash up for grabs, thanks to our friends at KFC. And the ladies need your help. They're five behind.
Starting point is 00:02:43 They sure do. If that's you, you can give us a call now. Play ZDEM's Bree and Clint. This is the main event. Treaty versus Lady. Here we go. The Trades and the ladies. Trady's starting to run away with it a bit again.
Starting point is 00:03:00 They're on 76 for the year. The ladies, they're trailing on 71. Our lady is in Parmy North. She's 49 and she is a cool mom, according to her kids. Please welcome to the show, Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hi, everyone. What makes you a cool mom, do you think?
Starting point is 00:03:17 I think because I run around after them all the time. Let them have a few beers. Yeah. Yeah. We joke. We joke. It's vodka. It's cleaner.
Starting point is 00:03:31 You're taking on our tradie today from Dunedin. They're 22, and he can drink eight Cokes in seven seconds. What? Welcome to the show, Marns. Hi, Marns. Hi, how's that? I have to call BS on that. Are you serious?
Starting point is 00:03:48 Eight seconds? No, I've got videos, aye. Wait, sorry, you can drink eight Cokes in seven seconds. You got it. Do you put them all into one vessel? Yeah Can we please take down his details Because the next time we're in Dunedin
Starting point is 00:04:03 We're coming to see you Marns And we've got to see this for ourselves We can do one Perfect So yesterday there was a guy in Dunedin Who said that he could eat a Zingerberger in one bite And now we've got Marns who can do Eight Cokes in seven seconds
Starting point is 00:04:18 We've got to line these guys up I think we need to travel to Dunedinian That's my mate Zingerberger boy is your mate He's my mate What the hell Why are you guys in such a rush What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:04:29 Well, you're eating fast and you're drinking fast. I hope you take longer than seven seconds for other things in your life, Marns. No, it's a Sunday activity. Yeah. He's so chill about it. Marns, Trady, that's your buzzer. Sarah, lady, that's your buzzer. First of three correct answers gets 50 bucks from KFC.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Good luck. Here we go, guys. Question number one. What are the two main colours of the Spanish flag? Trady. Yes, Marnes. Yellow and redmond. He's got it.
Starting point is 00:04:58 Well done. Shot Marns. Question number two. Trady. I just love how you use your buzzer, man. Question number two. Which artist is performing three headline shows at Auckland's Eden Park next year? Lady.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Yes, Sarah. I'm going to guess Bruno Mars. Yeah. Is Bruno Mars added. He's got three shows there now. Started with one and I mean the demand was so high. He's now three shows. Tiny man.
Starting point is 00:05:29 huge act. That's what they say. Good thing, small package. We're one a piece. Yeah. What a weapon. Question number three, buzz him when you can tell me who sings this. Sarah?
Starting point is 00:05:43 Spice Girls. It is the Spice Girls. Spice up your life. Two to the ladies, one to the tradies. You need this one, Marnsey, to stay in at. Question number four. What day of the week is Christmas this year? Cady.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Yes, Marns. Friday. Well done. What's that? I know my date. That's an. Unbelievable. I'm very impressed. We move on to question five, and this is for the win. What percentage of the Earth's surface is covered by ocean? Is it 49% 71 or 86? Yes, Marnes?
Starting point is 00:06:18 The first one. Wrong, sorry, Marnes. No, Sarah, your options are 71% or 86%. 71. She's got it. She's a lady. Oh, whoa, she's a lead. Devastation. Came down to the wire, Marnes, didn't it? Oh, I clipped it.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Yeah. Marns, you need to call back and play again. Marns is the turtle from Finding Nemo? Marns, that's a good question, actually, Sarah. Marns, are you the turtle from finding Nemo? No, I'm a gender studies shooter from Dunedon. Yeah, mate. Oh, my mistake.
Starting point is 00:06:56 You're a gender studies tutor from Dunedon. Student. Marns, you might be the most interesting man we've ever had on Trady versus Lady. Very interesting. Call back and play again, okay? Sarah, that was such a funny comment. Very funny. Sarah, you're the champ. 50 bucks. Well done.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Okay, thank you. The Turtle from Finding Trady. ZDM's Bree and Clint Podcast. Olivia Rodriguez. In Stupid Saigon, Zim, she needs to announce a New Zealand show. Now that everyone's coming back, she needs to announce a New Zealand show. She could easily do. Eden Park. Yeah, she could do their Western Spring Stadium. She could do Tecaha and Christ Church.
Starting point is 00:07:35 She could do all three. Yeah. She has all the big stadiums. She could headline laneway, which is a rumor, but apparently it clashes with her American dates. So probably not. Yeah. I saw this clip today, which I thought was quite funny. I always know someone's a loser, like six months before anyone else does. And it's one of my superpowers, but it's also my kryptonite because it makes me look like I'm a total hater because I'm early to it, but I don't have any evidence. And so when I bring it up to someone and a soft launch that I dislike them, they just don't understand. And everybody eventually figures it out six months later and they don't come crawling back to you. They just bring it up like it's something they discovered and they're totally shocked.
Starting point is 00:08:10 And meanwhile, you told them many months ago. But you saw it coming. This is having a good read on people. Yeah. That's what he's talking about. That's his superpower. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Like having a good gut feel about what a person's actually like. But I think he's learned you need to keep that stuff to yourself. Because no one wants to hear it. And no one's going to. No one's going to come back to you and go, oh my God, you were so right about, Bree. Why are you using me as an example? Reminds me of my superpower, which is also a curse, which I've talked to you about. And I can't do it on demand.
Starting point is 00:08:42 You can't point to a business and ask me this. But if I pass a business or I enter a business, I know I get this feeling that comes over me. And I don't look for it. It just comes to me when it comes to me. I can tell when that business is going to close down or when they're going to rebrand. Those are the two things I can tell. And you might go, you might go, Clint, is it, we can all do that if a business looks shabby or empty, obviously.
Starting point is 00:09:04 No, it's deeper than that. Your power is nearly as useless as my power, which is guessing movie plot lines, which I mean I do use my power on this show. So not useless. So not useless. I also have this incredible knack for being able to look at any sour dough. Yep.
Starting point is 00:09:23 And I can tell you how good it is just by looking at it. Now the cynic and me would say, are you looking at the price? No, no, I honestly, hand on heart, I don't need to see the price. If you just place sourdows in front of me. Okay. Just from the look of them, I can tell you which one is the best. Claudia, sounds like a perfect excuse to put five sourdough on the company card. Oh, go on then.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Can we have a slice to taste them as well? It's content. Can we all take a sourdough home? No, no, we're all going to taste them. Okay. Because we need to know if she was right or not. Oh, true. Or buy the good butter.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Yeah, get a good butter, get a good jar of olive oil. Oh, a bit of vinegar. Ducker. And a little bit of the, um, a little bit of kosher salt. Oh, this sounds fabulous. A little flaky sea salt. Yuck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Vegan cheese. Oh, a good salad. Why did you have to come in there and put it? Why did you ruin it? You could have said hummus. We would have been on board with hummus. I could have said honey. Hummus and hot sauce I'll bring.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Hot sauce. Claudia, you got a superpower? Yeah, and mine's useless to me, but beneficial to others. I'm a notorious avocado hater but I can pick a good one. Literally, every avocado I've ever bought has been perfect. What an awful power for you,
Starting point is 00:10:34 the avocado, hater, to have. It's really impressive for other people and they enjoy it, but I don't benefit at all. My wife cut an avocado yesterday, which we both agreed looked like it was perfect and it even felt perfect. And?
Starting point is 00:10:46 It wasn't. It was still hard in the middle. And once you've cut them, they just don't ripen. They don't. I could have told you that. They stay hard. Do you know how hard it was
Starting point is 00:10:54 in this economy to put an avocado in the bin. Yeah, that's rough. Are you okay? Well, I wanted to just eat it out of spite and get a sore tummy. Do you get a sore tummy when you have bad ever? Well, anything that's not ripe enough can give you a sore tummy. Do you have a superpower? That's what we want to know this afternoon.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Whether it's useful or useless. It's yours. You were born with it. Or maybe you've honed it over a number of years. Yeah. I have a superpower that has faded, but I reckon I could bring it back. What is it? I can weigh luggage.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Oh. Particularly good when we're travelling. A lot of men say that they're good at this. They're saying. Pick up a suitcase and I can tell you, yeah. I'll go that's 16 kilos. And then we can weigh it and see how close you are. A power I still have in the kitchen is that I can look at something like leftovers
Starting point is 00:11:42 and I can pick the exact container of how much it's going to fit. That's right. That's a good one too. Which is a fantastic power. That's useful. It is useful. Dead is Franklin. We're just discussing our superpowers.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And we want to hear your superpowers too. My superpower being able to tell if a business is going to close down. Bree's superpower being able to tell if a sourdough is good or bad. Just by looking at it. Just by looking at it. Mine's just by looking at it too. I'm not going through their books or anything. Clint's like, so guys, you're in trouble.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Yeah, I've had a look. The financials are not good. Someone said Clint's superpower is talking over the top of Claudia and Bree when they're trying to talk. You are very good at that. Yeah, that's definitely your power. That text is brutal. Anything else you want to say?
Starting point is 00:12:36 Are you done? Yeah, can we allow to? Well, if I'm scared to talk because you're going to just butt in. Oh, he's giving you the room. This is incredible. I want to move on so badly. Let's do it. I'm going to hear.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Let's do it. Karen's here. Hi, Karen. Hi, Karen. Hi. What's your superpower, Karen? My superpower is getting babies to sleep. Oh, have you met my friend Bree?
Starting point is 00:12:56 Yeah, do you want to come over to my house, Karen? Absolutely. I would love to have you over. And how does 3 a.m sound? What's the secret? Can you sum it up easily? Depends on the baby, just, you know, different techniques for different child children. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Rocking them, rubbing their forehead. Bum pat? You must have an energy that babies appreciate, Karen. Must do. Yeah. Calming energy. Okay, that's a very useful superpower. Let's go to Taylor.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Hi, Taylor. Hi, Taylor. Hi, long-time listener, first-time call here. Oh, good. Go, Taylor. Good to have you on. Taylor, what's your superpower? So my weird power is, if I've been to a location even once,
Starting point is 00:13:48 and I see a photo with part of that location, and I can identify it. So for example, a friend sent a photo of a drink she had in Thailand and I had been there before and I was able to ask if it was a certain bar because I could see the floor and I recognised it. Holy hell. You're like Google Maps. You're like Google Street View.
Starting point is 00:14:08 I wish it was like a photographic memory for other things but it doesn't seem to really come in handy. It's very annoying because I feel like I've got a really good memory for things like song lyrics but I can't remember phone numbers. Yeah, same. Yeah. Mine's for movies, but nothing else. Lara's here.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Hey, Lara. Hi, Lara. Hello. What's your mum's superpower? Lara? My mum's superpower. You know when you're on the trampoline and you get like electrocuted? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:35 My mom is always electrocuting people. Really? She's statically charged your mother. Yeah. Oh my God. I wonder what that means in a person. I mean, ask me they have something in their, in their body or their system. Does she wear a lot of polyester, your mother?
Starting point is 00:14:50 No, she is a cotton person Okay Okay Does she I'm trying to think Does she go down a lot of plastic slides At playgrounds They always used to charge me up
Starting point is 00:15:02 Going down the plastic slide No No Yeah, wow My mum No You've got the amazing electric mother Lara
Starting point is 00:15:09 Yeah Yeah It says on Google That the body is building up And releasing Static electricity Yeah But I wonder why
Starting point is 00:15:19 Maybe she needs earthing. Maybe she's like one of those cars. You know how those cars used to have a bit of rubber hanging out the bat or a drink on the ground? Maybe your mum needs to drag a bit of rubber behind her, Lara. My mum, she is grounding all day, but oh well. She's obviously thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:15:36 She needs a good pair of rubber shoes, maybe. We asked what's your superpower. Someone said I have the power of mind control, but it only works on myself. See, I don't even have that. That's a great power, though, to have good mind control. Tim said I can measure distance in metres with my strides down to 2% accuracy. I see I need to see that now.
Starting point is 00:15:57 I'd love to see Tim in action. He must just be the perfect height. He must be the perfect leg length. Yeah, like his stride is like a perfect metre. Because everyone's stride is meant to be approximately a metre. I feel like builders have an incredible knack for measuring things just by eyeballing it. My superpower is addition and multiplication, super beneficial when doing girl math to justify buying something I don't need.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Yeah, that's good. That is good. What about this? I can tell you what helicopter is flying over by just the sound of it. Wow. That's amazing. I've heard of a train spotter. That's like people, what about people like that woman on Clarkson's farm who can tell what bird it was just by hearing it.
Starting point is 00:16:39 She was amazing. She was incredible. Yeah, yeah. If you give me a bunch of paper, I can tell you if that will fit into a small envelope or not. Love that. That's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Someone said, I can spot a cop car from miles away.
Starting point is 00:16:54 People doubt me until it drives past. Yeah, good. You're like those radar detectors. I can play Mary had a little lamb on my head like a bongo. It doesn't come through on the phone, though. I tried it with Fletch, Vaugh and Haley. I had to send them a video, and they left me on scene, those morning rascals. Where is that person?
Starting point is 00:17:16 We need to bring them into the studio for a performance. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll mic you up. I remember. We should put them in the Zidium acoustic corner. That would be. To perform Mary had a little lamb on their bongo heads. Impressive.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Yeah. I remember as a kid I used to hit my head and it would sound hollow. Let's just see if I still have. I'll push your mic up. Okay, here we go. Wow. Is it pretty hollow? Wow, that was like an empty coconut.
Starting point is 00:17:51 They always said there wasn't much going on up top. Why didn't you say that was your super power? I didn't give a shit about the salad, though. I forgot about it until just then. I don't know what mine sounds like now. Sorry. Yeah, you give it a go. So you just hit it on the top.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Okay. Ow. You've got to take your headphones off. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah. I mean, hello, come in. Anything? Someone's in here.
Starting point is 00:18:18 ZDN's Branclint. Brinclint. Brion, brought you by KFC, obviously, which is why I thought this was interesting. KFC are entering the breakfast game. I saw this over in Australia, right? Yeah, not here. Not here.
Starting point is 00:18:30 In Australia, they've tested it at Sydney Airport. It's been a hit. So they're going to roll it out in the Gold Coast. Yep. In Melbourne. What's on the menu? Yeah, that's what it comes down to, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Because I love KFC. I don't know how many people are getting a quarter pack at 7 a.m. Yeah. Well, at an airport you would, because there is no time at the airport. No, time doesn't exist. Airport time. Quarter pack and a beer. Oh, good.
Starting point is 00:18:55 KFC breakfast menu looks like this. Bacon and egg rolls. Okay. BLTs with avocado. Nice. Chicken bacon and egg rolls. Wait, so the BLT isn't that a blat? Yeah, it's a blat.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato. They should do a chlatte. What's a chlat? Oh, chicken on there. Chicken lettuce, avocado. Kane? Yeah. Could KFC do like a chicken bacon?
Starting point is 00:19:19 I don't see why not? Yeah. Chicken... Just mix all the animals. Chicken toasty. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Chicken that's been, like, cured. Oh, you mean like actual chicken bacon?
Starting point is 00:19:30 You know how you can get turkey bacon? Yes. I don't, yeah. I think you can get chicken bacon in New Zealand, too. It's meant to be lower and fat. They can press anything into a mold. You're right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Chicken toasties. Okay. And breakfast wraps with chicken, bacon, and egg inside of them. There's a few other things, too. They're doing avocado toast, which I'm not sure about that. And, of course, hash cookies. Browns. I'll tell you who this is great news for. KFC doing breakfast is great news for people who suffer from hangovers because, I mean, I don't suffer from them as often as I used to.
Starting point is 00:20:05 But when I did, should I be up early? Should it be one of those hangovers that won't let you sleep and only the colonel can cure? It is hell on earth waiting for that restaurant to open at 10 a.m. It's so long. It's like time stops. I remember being sat outside. this is probably a low point for me, but being sat outside KFC Ponsonby. When? At like 9.30 on a Sunday morning. Just like...
Starting point is 00:20:31 Grim. Please. Please, open out of me. Please, I need help. I'm dying out here. Anyway, not anymore, obviously. Hmm. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:42 I'm trying to think of... I mean, they could... You know what they could do that I haven't seen? Mm-hmm. They could do waffles, chicken and waffles. So, could I see that before, too. Yeah. Chicken and waffles.
Starting point is 00:20:52 It's a sitter for KFC. Mip CER. Yeah. Yeah. Chicken and waffles keen for that from KFC. Well, if you're listening KFC, Mm-hmm. This talk.
Starting point is 00:21:01 We've got ideas. Chicken tender strips and some waffles. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'd eat it. That's the hot KFC news. Z&M's Bree and Clint podcast.
Starting point is 00:21:12 The T live from L.A. with Dean McAfee. Dean, Beyonce has people talking about her latest piece of merch. Yes, merch. Let me just describe it and then you tell me what you think about this. So it's a box, okay, it's a box. It's called the beekeeper, B-E-Y. B-E-Y, love it. Yeah, very well thought out.
Starting point is 00:21:34 The Beyonce Hive. Only 500 of these have been made and they are designed for you to collect your vials and display your vials in them. Okay. So they cost for $948 US. Oh my God. It's an empty box, is it, Dean? It's an empty box, and there's no vinyl in it.
Starting point is 00:21:55 That's where the upset has come from. So you get the box in the mail. There's only 500 of them, you know, very fabulous, and you open it up, and it's just literally an empty box. And people are like, nothing. Now, Dean, I love that you're giving her the benefit of the doubt and saying it's very fabulous. It's not.
Starting point is 00:22:13 It's a wooden box. It's not painted. It looks like an apple crate. It looks like something you get from a farmer's market that comes stuffed with straw and some organic apples inside. and she wants $1,000 for it. Yep. It's pretty crazy.
Starting point is 00:22:28 She just became a billionaire recently. I think she's, yeah. And I think we now know why. I've just had a little closer look at the box. I mean, it's velvet lined the box. And it has some, it has a leather strap as if you're going to carry your wooden crate of Beyonce vinyl's around, which you're not. It's kind of the perfect scam.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Dean, because then you have to then go out and buy all of Beyonce's back catalogue on vinyl, don't you? It doesn't come with the vinyl's inside it for that $1,000? No, it doesn't come with a thing. It's not a single vinyl. You open it up and you're like, huh? Wow. Surely the Beyonce, this is a thing for the Beyonce's super fans.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Yeah. It's also a bit of an IQ test, you know? It looks like a bee house. Doesn't it? It's like when you see someone who had like all five versions of Taylor Swift's previous album on so they could get the different colours. Says a lot about the person, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:23:28 Yeah, I mean, smart from the artist, because they're making turn of money. You're going to get one, Dean? No. No. But she's made $500,000 for these things. 500 of them at $1,000 each, 500 grand. I reckon she just needed another Porsche or something?
Starting point is 00:23:44 Maybe. I really want that other Porsche. That's the tea with Dean McCarthy. The ZDM Podcast Network. Friend of mine, hadn't been to the dentist in 14 years. Yeah. I know.
Starting point is 00:23:55 What the hell he? What's that? 2011. Has he not been to the dentist since 2011? I feel like that's right. Yeah. That makes me feel... Oh, no, that's 15 years.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Oh. 2012. 2012, same same, give or take. It makes me feel ill. Yeah. Is your friend, who hasn't been to the dentist of 14 years, are they particularly hygienic? Like, are they a... Do you think they're a flossa, electric...
Starting point is 00:24:24 toothbrusher. That's a great question. Yeah. I would say they give off that they have pretty good hygiene. Okay, yeah. But I don't know if they're flossing every day. 14 years, though. 14 years.
Starting point is 00:24:37 I said to him, I was like, what made you finally go to the dentist? And he said he had a bit of pain. Dabilitating tooth pain, yeah. And I was like, yep, well, that'll do it. Anyway, he went along to the dentist. I was so intrigued as to how much. much was wrong with his teeth, if anything. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:58 And I've got the results. Okay. He's been to the dentist. Okay. After 14 years. And I can confirm three fillings. Oh, three. Not too bad.
Starting point is 00:25:09 No, not too bad. I mean, not great because any filling isn't good. No. But three after 14 years, I said to him, how much did it cost you all up? Like your visit to the dentist and the fillings. He said all up it costs me around 1800 bucks. That's a reason why people don't go as well. They're scared of what it's going to cost.
Starting point is 00:25:31 But to put that into perspective, that much over 14 years. It's less than 100 bucks a year. Pretty cheap. Yeah. Like not too bad. Some people are just lucky in the mouth department. I've talked to my dentist a few times about this and he said it is genetics. Some people's saliva, I think, is superior.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Some people genetically just have teeth that are better than other people. My wife is one of those people. Some people are lucky. I think she hadn't been for like five years or something and I was like, you got to go. Yeah. I'm going three times a year. You've got to go. You've got to go get them cleaned.
Starting point is 00:26:08 And she's like, oh, can't be bothered. And then she went. And I was like, oh, here we go. What's it going to be? Same thing. I was like, you have to tell me what we're in for. She came back and said the dentist said to her, perfect teeth. She doesn't even have to have them cleaned.
Starting point is 00:26:21 No. Because I feel like, oh God, I need to go once a year. I think I'm going to the dentist tomorrow. Are you? I think so. I go so often that I forget. I just put it on my calendar. I feel like I go.
Starting point is 00:26:31 I'm going tomorrow at 10 a.m. before our photo shoot. That's crazy coincidence. Yeah. I feel like I go too often. You and I go to the same dentist. Yeah, yeah. Well, we're on the dental plan. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:41 So we just get booked in. It's the best thing I've ever done. Because they just put it in my diary and I go. It doesn't become my responsibility to get around to it. You know? I'm not going to lie. rather go less. Would you?
Starting point is 00:26:53 Yeah, I just feel like it makes me anxious. Oh, okay. Because I get anxious that there's going to be something wrong and then that costs money and then it hurts and there's pain and... Oh, well, get over it. You know what? People say you're not an empath. I disagree.
Starting point is 00:27:09 I thought we could ask people this afternoon. Is this you? Did you not go to the dentist for years? Have you not been to the dentist for years? Or maybe right now you haven't been for over 10 years. Yes. What's the damage after your big gap? Or are you one of these teeth unicorns?
Starting point is 00:27:28 Yep. Your teeth just last longer. You know some people don't believe in dentists? What do you mean? They're like, no, it's a scam. It's not a scam. I know it's not, but some people, I've met people. It's like people who go getting your car service, scam.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Yeah, yeah. What's the one I heard on the weekend? Oh, no, you shouldn't wear sunscreen in winter because otherwise your body will get vitamin D deficient. What? What? Scam. You know what is a scam?
Starting point is 00:27:57 Extended warranty. Well, let's not get into that. You can tricking me with it. It's ZAM's Bree and Clint podcast. So we want to know how long between dentist visits and what was the damage. Laura's here. Hi, Laura. Hi, Laura.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Hi, Laura. Hi, how are you? Good, thanks. Tell us what was the amount of time you spent before you went back to the dentist? Many, many, many, many years. is I do go all of the time now. Yeah. But as a child, I didn't go to the dentist,
Starting point is 00:28:26 and it left me with horrific overcrowding. And a baby tooth at 30 years old. Oh, whoa! You had a baby tooth when you were 30. I said that Olivia Dean song. It was born in your mouth was it? It was one of my incisors. I had an adult tooth that did not come through
Starting point is 00:28:46 because I had a benign, bony tumour in the way. Oh my God. You've been through it, Laura. The person who needs to go to the dentist the most was the person not going to the dentist, Laura. Yes, that is correct. Go to the dentist kids. Yeah, good message. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Thank you, Laura. Let's go to Jess. Jess, you've been skipping the dentist? I have. How long in between drinks, Jess? Can you guys help me with a mess? Because I last went out of primary school and I'm 30 now. Wow.
Starting point is 00:29:19 So minimum 20 years. Yeah. So I went to those little dentists on wheels that came around to school. I remember those. They were great. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So what you're saying, Jess, what you're saying is we need a dentist on wheels to come and park outside your work.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Oh my gosh. That would be life-changing. Let's do it. So wait, you're telling me, Jess, that you've never paid to go see a dentist. Never. I have never had a dentist. Wow. Are you scared to go?
Starting point is 00:29:51 No, it's fine. Like, I reckon it's all good. I've got no pain. Yeah. It's all good. Yeah, yeah. My friend's dad had a business. It was a dentist on wheels and he would go around all of the mining towns.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Smart. In Australia. Yeah. And he would just park up in this town centre for two weeks and get both ends of the FIFO. And these guys would come through, drop huge cash, because he could do it all there. Yeah. And they'd be like, oh, you have. fix me up, Doc.
Starting point is 00:30:20 That's smart for him. And then pack up and roll off to the next place. I wonder if there's any dentist on wheels in New Zealand. Yeah, yeah. Do they still do that in schools? Yeah. Yeah. That's such a good idea.
Starting point is 00:30:32 I believe most schools. Some schools, they'll drop like a port-a-com onto the school grounds for a few weeks and get all the kids seen. Or there's one dental clinic that services all of the schools in that area. I remember the dentist on wheels in primary school. That was the one that told me. had a huge mouth. And that's why I didn't need braces, because all my teeth fit.
Starting point is 00:30:54 You should get into radio. Taylor's here. Hi, Taylor. Hi, Taylor. Hi, guys. Tell us, how long since you've been to the dentist? I'm one of those that haven't made since I was a kid, so about a 10 or 11 years old, and I'm 24 now.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Are you going to go, are you going to go, Taylor? I actually have recently been, and that was only because I started to get my first ever bit of toothache. Okay, okay. And what was the damage? The damage came to 14 fillings, so one per year that I haven't been to the dentist. They want to extract my wisdom tooth, because the wisdom tooth is causing the cavity on the tooth next to it, and that's where I'm getting the pain. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:32 And my bank account is going to drop just under four grand. Wow, Taylor. Do you have any teeth that don't have a, I mean, half your teeth? Half of your teeth. Yeah. They gave me a printout, and you can see every single tooth with a cavity in it, and I was, They're pretty extreme, but I don't get too sick. And they give them to me as well that my teeth floor, they are actually beautiful.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Yeah. So I don't know. I'm in but, yeah. I know. Hey, Taylor, can I say good on you for actually going, considering you hadn't been for so long and actually dealing with it? Is this going to change you? Are you now going to be a daily flosser and a annual dentist?
Starting point is 00:32:07 I really will be. Absolutely, yeah. Or do you kind of want to collect the other teeth and, you know, catch them all? Cavity the mall, as they say. Taylor. So you've had all the fillings? No, I haven't gone back yet. It's going to take a few visits.
Starting point is 00:32:23 They can't do 14 fillings in one day. Yeah, no, it will. It will take some time and I've got a six-month-old too, so we're just taking our time. Oh, Taylor, you're going through it, mate. Yeah, you poor thing. Any root canals in those 14 fillings? No, well, that's a plus.
Starting point is 00:32:38 None of them are bad, so I'm pretty lucky. Oh, well, that's good. Hey, you're a glass. Taylor's got a great attitude, eh? She's class-awful. I've never heard anyone who needs 14 fill. fillings in an extraction say I'm very lucky. I'm pretty lucky, guys.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Good on you, Taylor. Good on you. I feel like starting to give a little for Taylor. I did not think she was going to say 14. I haven't been to the dentist in 20 years and I'm all good. No fillings, nothing. Well, there you go. Someone else said, my husband hasn't been to the dentist since 2013 and has never
Starting point is 00:33:09 had a filling. Me, on the other hand, I go every year and I need at least one filling per year. I also clean my teeth way more than him. Yeah, this is what I was talking about. It's genetics. Yeah. Unfortunately. Some of us just got shitty teeth.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Mm-hmm. Yeah. Which is annoying. It's like those people with perfectly straight teeth who never needed braces. That's like me. I got the straight teeth, but my teeth aren't the best. I've had a few fillings. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Have you had a root canal before? No. Oh. Awful. Yeah. Oh. And it's so bad when they're like, is it numb yet? And you're like, no.
Starting point is 00:33:41 I can feel that. Oh, I can feel that? Oh, you have to? Anyway. Go to the dentist. Go to the dentist. Get your teeth clean. They feel good.
Starting point is 00:33:51 A ZM's Breinclin podcast. Let's play Google Down. Do you feel lucky? Well, do you? It's time for Brie and Clince. Google Down. Punk. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Google Down time to find out who is the fastest Googler in the team, and they play for you. 50 KFC chicken dollars on the line. Ella's last game. Ella's last game. My last game. game. Can she get it done? Can I bring it home? Probably not. Bring the bacon home, they say. You're a vegan.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Oh yeah. Bring the... Yeah, what a vegan save? Tofu. Bring the tofu home. Bring home the tofu. No, don't worry. We've got enough food here. You don't need to bring anything. You keep your food to yourself. All right, here we go. Everyone bring a plate, except for Ella. Screw you. I want my carrots alone. I've put these questions into Google. I've threatened me with a good time. Focus, everyone.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Buy me a drink first. First person to yell out the correct answer. I'll give you a point. First to three takes the win. Question number one. How tall is somber in centimetres? Oh, shoot. She said centimeters.
Starting point is 00:35:04 Sure did. Oh, okay. Am I allowed to guess? Because I have an answer, but... 200 points out. Clint is correct. Damn it. Approximately.
Starting point is 00:35:21 201 centimetres. 6.7. Question number two. Who is the most famous dog in the world? Toto. The president of ours. Oh.
Starting point is 00:35:35 A lot of Oz. Come on, Ella. It's your last game. Cliffett, the big red dog. Hachio. No, take you again. Everyone's back in. Subidoo.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Oh, I think you started just before I don't. Everyone's back in. No, Snoopy! Snoopy! She'll out. Lassey! I'm not going to give it to anyone because that was a train wreck. The answer that I got was
Starting point is 00:36:01 Lassie, that's what I was looking for. No points. I've realised my phone said Scooby-Doo, but it's showing a picture of Lassie, so I should have been... I should have done better, I'm sorry. Who's Lassie? Ted Lassos' dog? Nice. Question number three.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Nice. In what year did the Warriors join the NRL competition? 95. Oh, give us a chance. It's correct. It is 95. Give me a chance.
Starting point is 00:36:26 We move on to question four. Two to Clint. Two for Clint. And none for anyone else? And none for anyone else. And especially not that Glenn Cocoa fella. Question number four. How many episodes of the Simpsons currently exist?
Starting point is 00:36:45 A hundred and nine. Oh, mine hasn't even loaded you. She saves the game. That was quick little. 509 is correct. About 700 too many. Yeah. We move on to question five.
Starting point is 00:37:02 What was the number one song on the 29th of July 2026? Load. Promiscuous Nelly Frutato. Choose in Texas by Ella Langley. Clint's just won the game. Oh, I thought you said 2006.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Can I just, just say that I got a message from Claudia before this game. Yeah. And she said, hey, we're going to throw Google down to let Ella win. Okay, deal? Deal? And I said, yeah, okay, I like that. The second the game started, Claudia went tooth and nail for the win.
Starting point is 00:37:42 No, I message you saying I'm going to get won to make it look believable. And look who won, Clint. Ella couldn't even get a point when we did her. Honestly, I'm staying out of it. What a train wreck. That was awful. Um, look. It is what it is.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Clint gets the win. Can I donate the win to Ella? Sure. Sure. Okay. Matt, you chose Ella and she lost, but for some reason you get 50 KFC chicken dollars. Congratulations. Nice, Matt. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:38:10 All good. Good on you, Matt. Well done. Good man. Love you, Matt. I'm going to miss you. Eggs. Yeah. When I leave on Friday.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Yeah, all right. G-Js Ella. Play Z-Dems, Bree and Clint. Huge weekend for the Warriors this weekend. Huge weekend. If you're not on the band, by now. Bloody hell are you doing.
Starting point is 00:38:31 I play the dolphins on Saturday, but I don't need to tell you that, all right? Everyone knows. The nation is on the edge of their seats. Whole country is being encouraged to wear their warriors gear on Friday. Wear it to work on Friday. Obviously, we're it on Saturday too,
Starting point is 00:38:47 but we're seeing we can take over the whole country with wear it for the wares on Friday. God, I would love to be there on Saturday. I knew I didn't stand a chance in the ticket queue. I saw people around me be. disappointed. They went so fast. But as happens with these things, the scalpers have got in there.
Starting point is 00:39:04 And you can still get a ticket to this Weekend's Warriors game, but you're going to have to pay through the nose to someone who... How much is a Warriors ticket going for? So, all season, these tickets have been between $25 and $50. They're so reasonably priced to go see the Warriors. I don't
Starting point is 00:39:20 know if there was a markup on the finals. It's actually the NRL that sells the tickets for the finals. It's not the club. Um, So I don't know what they sold for. But if you were able to get in there, particularly if you were a member, you were able to buy eight tickets at a time.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Really? And I think maybe some people have got greedy. Even if they had a family of four, they've bought eight so they can put them on Trade Me. Not everybody. Warriors community is very good. But some people, like the fact that there are already tickets on Trade Me, bundles of four tickets.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Yeah. You know it makes me a thing that some people are taking the piss a bit. But you can go this weekend. You can still go if you want. For how much, though. Trade Me currently has four tickets to the Warriors for $1,200. So how much is that a ticket? $300.
Starting point is 00:40:07 $300, yeah. $300 for a ticket? Those are pretty good seats, those ones. Right on halfway. Like down low or in the nose, please? Down low, right on halfway. Okay. I'm not justifying and I'm just saying you can get four GA tickets to sit on the hill.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Yep. That'll cost you $800. Oh, that's a joke. You can get two pretty decent tickets for around the stadium in different places for between $500 and $600. Yeah. Yeah. Which is a long way from $25 to $50. God, that sucks.
Starting point is 00:40:44 It really sucks when people do that. It sucks too because if they don't sell them, if there's not someone out there that is willing to pay $1,200 for four tickets, are those four seats going to be empty? No one gets to enjoy it. That's not what we want. No. Yeah. Anyway, they Mount Smart, I think it seats 26,000 people.
Starting point is 00:41:06 There's strong rumours that if the Warriors win, the next home game, which will be in two weeks' time, is going to get moved to Eden Park, which is 50,000 people. Yeah, right. So twice the amount of people will be able to go to the game. But if they win, they get a buy. Yeah. And then they don't play. Like, it won't be next weekend. No, in two weeks.
Starting point is 00:41:28 In two weeks. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And Eden Park is, what, 50,000? Yeah. So it's a lot more seats. It's double, yeah. So you probably would be able to get a ticket then.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Yeah, but it's all maybe. They have to win yet. So, anyway. Well, if they lose, they're going to play again anyway. Yeah. Because they finish in the top two. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:51 But do they get to play at home again? That's a good question. Yeah, I don't know. If you've got to spare $1,200 and $1,000. and three friends. Can you lend me that money? Can we come? Yeah, we'll fill the other two seats.
Starting point is 00:42:02 ZD.M.'s Bree and Clint Podcast. I saw this story from one of the big news sites, asking what big brands and stores we want to come to New Zealand, and they listed some. I never know with these things if that's because they know something that we don't know. Probably. And they're starting to plant the seed.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Like, that kind of happened in the few years leading up to IKEA coming here. There are all these stories about how much New Zealanders love IKEA and want IKEA. I also think it's them doing market research. Yeah, right. Okay. Yeah. So I've got the list here, and I'm wondering if we can add to this list.
Starting point is 00:42:36 So the list of businesses that they've suggested, could be good to come to New Zealand. 7-Eleven? Oh, I love 7-Eleven. I've never been to a 7-Eleven. Is it better than a night and day? 7-Eleven known for their slushy machines. Yeah, okay. Is it better than the...
Starting point is 00:42:55 Yeah, right. Okay, yeah. Like this fun and cool. In and Out Burger. Yeah. What? I know we have an abundance of burger chains in New Zealand. Got so many burger places.
Starting point is 00:43:08 But in and out burger. You would want it? Yeah. It's the first place I go. Whenever I go to California, it's the first place I go. I'm not going to lie. Every time I've been there, like it's not bad. I'm like, oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:18 But I'm not like, whoa, this is amazing. Do we need an Apple store? I think so. Do we? Yeah. What can you get in an Apple? Apple store that you can't just get off the Apple website? The Apple Geniuses.
Starting point is 00:43:30 What's an Apple Genius? Like people, you go in there and you go, my phone's doing this weird thing and they can help you. Oh, okay. Yeah, I think they're called Apple Geniuses. God, they'll be so good for our parents, eh? Yeah. So we don't have to fix their phones.
Starting point is 00:43:42 And you send them to the Apple Store? Yeah, yeah. I was quite shocked when I moved to New Zealand that there was no Apple store here. Mm, mm. L-D, the supermarket? Oh, Alde's pretty fun. You got L-D in Australia, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:54 What's good about L-D? Aldi just cheap cheap okay right and they have like weird and cool products yeah okay uniclo oh hell yeah if you don't know about uni clow it's where have you been
Starting point is 00:44:08 it's um they say basics but it's it's really good quality clothing and they have everything they got really good denim they got really good shirts I'm wearing a unicloid t-shirt right now so am i yeah um Japanese they're very good stuff
Starting point is 00:44:23 there's a strong rumor that's coming Yeah, we've heard that for a while. At least a big store in New Zealand is going to start stocking Uniclo, which would be good. There's a bunch of others on there. But what can we add? What do we want to come to New Zealand? I reckon Chipotle would go really good in New Zealand. Yes.
Starting point is 00:44:43 Either Chipotle or the Aussie Guzmini Gomez. I'd like either or both are good. Because where do we get our burritos from in New Zealand? There. What's the big burrito place for us? Mexicali. Oh, Mexicali. Zambrio?
Starting point is 00:44:57 Zambrio used to be near me and I'll get fat burritos all the time. I haven't seen many of those around recently though. They're disappearing. I'm so gutted. They're really good. Do we need an egg slut? What? Yes, please.
Starting point is 00:45:10 What's that? Egg slut. Huh? You know. What? E G-G-S-U-T. What is that? Are you just trying to say that word on radio?
Starting point is 00:45:18 Isn't it like a breakfast chain in the UK? Do they make sandwiches or something? Yeah, I think so. Oh. It's a business. God, interesting name for the business. Hooters? How?
Starting point is 00:45:32 Do we need a... I quite like Hooters. I'm a fan. For the chips, right? No, for the wings. Do you remember when I dragged you there one time? I was like, let's go... You did not have to drag me.
Starting point is 00:45:44 I remember when you and I skipped arm-in-arm to a Hooters in Los Angeles. Let's go to Hooters. He's like, this is really good, we should go. And I'm like, I know it's really good. We should definitely go. What about an I-Hop? Um, eh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:01 I-Hop International House of Pancakes. Oh, yum. It is pretty fun to go to I-Hop. When we ended up at an I-Hop at 2 in the morning in L.A. after we went to that strip club. You're really incriminating us in this break. We didn't end up there. Like Claudia said, we skipped it there.
Starting point is 00:46:17 It was all part of the plan. Do you know they can't sell alcohol in a strip club? Los Angeles. Full stop? Full stop. It's a weird place to be when you can't be drinking. No, I think you meant to go pre-drunk. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Because it's not fun sober. I think they had quite a few problems so they had to get rid of the alcohol. Crazy. Anywhere else? Any other suggestions? Producers? Do we cover it all?
Starting point is 00:46:43 Yeah, I feel like you've topped it. Yeah, I'm good. I'm keen for Hooters though. Are you? Should we buy the franchise? Yeah, should we bring a Hooters to New Zealand? I want to see you work there, Bree. mate
Starting point is 00:46:53 business would be boomer That is Brancl. Worst feeling ever to be on a losing streak I'm sure we've all been a part of teams that have gone on a losing streak
Starting point is 00:47:05 Becomes a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy too because you start going Well I can't win So then you lose Yeah and then you get into your own head And you're like oh everything becomes that much harder Um Kiwi driver
Starting point is 00:47:21 Scott McLaugh McLoughlin. McLaughlin. McLaughlin. McLaughlin. Mowlton? Mowflin. McLaughlin?
Starting point is 00:47:29 McLaughlin. That's what I said. Muglochland. Yeah. What you said? Yeah. Scott. Scott currently competes in the IndyCar series over in America.
Starting point is 00:47:41 He's an incredible driver. I've followed this guy for a long time. He was in NASCAR. He's done VAT supercars. He's done it all. My dad's obsessed with him. He reckons he's one of his most. favorite drivers ever. He's only
Starting point is 00:47:54 33. Is he? Yeah. Oh, he's unbelievable. He's been having an awful season in the Indy car over in America, though. Terrible season. He was on a 35 race losing streak. 35 races.
Starting point is 00:48:10 35 races he's lost. But he broke that losing streak over the weekend. As sharp as they come, Scott McLaughlin delivering He snaps a 35 race, windless streak. Scott McLaughlin ends the season on a high.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Shoots it to the moon. McLaughlin wins and Laguna Seeker. Feel pretty good. You can see him. Obviously he couldn't see his face because he had a helmet on. But you could see him pumping the fist. Like he was so stoked to win. It's a bit like in the recent F1 race, Pierre Gazley.
Starting point is 00:48:51 he got pole position for the first time in his career. Yeah, that feels a bit different though, because there's some Formula One drivers who will just never win a race. And they know, you know that you're not a winning Formula One driver, but you're still in Formula One. Yeah, because the cars are different. Yeah, which I still, I love F1,
Starting point is 00:49:10 but I'm still not on board with how all the cars are different. It's different in a team sport, though, because to go winless for a long time, God, that's got to suck, you know? because every week you've got to get back out there, train together and be like, guys, this is our week. We're going to put in our best effort.
Starting point is 00:49:26 We're going to turn it all around. And you know you're not going to win. You know you're not going to win. Like you might be going up against Canterbury this weekend. You're like, this is our weekend to turn it around. And someone in the team's going to go, well, statistically it's not our week. But let's just do our best anyway.
Starting point is 00:49:43 I'll never forget when I was younger, played in this soccer team. And we had an absolute gun team one year. and we went to the grand final and we won. And the following year, it was what I call a rebuilding year for us. A lot of the girls had gone away to university, et cetera. And so we had no one. And we sucked bad.
Starting point is 00:50:08 I don't think we won a game all season. And to go from winning the whole comp to the following year and we could not win a game. They call that going from the penthouse to the cramp house. Oh, God. And it was so hard to motivate yourself, like to train or to do anything. You're like, well, we're going to lose anyway. It's not just in sport. You could be on a losing streak for things like job interviews too.
Starting point is 00:50:29 You know, where you're like, I'm going to get out there, I'm going to do it. Yeah. 25 job applications later, you're like. At what point do you give up and you just go on the benefit? Exactly. You know? Exactly. What about a losing trivia team?
Starting point is 00:50:45 Yeah, but do people go into trivia teams expecting to win? The trivia team. When I play Go on a Quizna, I'm just there to drink. Remember how I joined that trivia team recently? Oh, yeah. Some other people you know are a part of the team. Breer was on a celebrity trivia team. There was one guy in there.
Starting point is 00:51:03 He was out for blood. He was one of the most unbelievable trivia players I've ever seen. Do we know him? You don't know him. But I've never seen any... He was like a human computer. Yeah, right. And he was there to win every single week.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Yeah, that was his... That was his sport. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And I... It was his arena. I loved it. I was like, I'm here to support you in any way I can.
Starting point is 00:51:27 We want to know how long you're losing streak was, be it sport, work, dating. Could be anything. If you know the length of your streak and how long it went for, oh, 800 dollars a dim, have you broken it? Maybe. Or are you still on it? What if someone's been on like 25 first dates in a row? Yeah. No second dates.
Starting point is 00:51:48 Yeah. What's your attitude like? How do you keep your... self-motivated. You give up eventually. Or do you need a Brie and Clint pep talk? You know? ZD.N.S. Brinclent.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Scott Muglothan has finally broken a 35 losing streak. He's lost 35 race. 35 race losing streak, sorry. And he took the win. Came first. He's broken the curse and people
Starting point is 00:52:12 are excited for him. What was his name again? Scott Mugloff. Yeah. He's one of our best drivers. He's right up there with Shane Brockoff. Yep. Brothers, cousins. Distant cousins, I think. So we've asked, what's your losing streak like?
Starting point is 00:52:26 How long are you on a losing streak? Someone said 11 years, and I still haven't beat my misses in an argument, Johnny. Hey, Johnny, just stick with it. Just stick with it. It's got a cum eventually. I'm not sure you want to win. I'm not sure you want to break that losing streak. Someone said, I'm on a being single streak coming up to nearly 26 years.
Starting point is 00:52:47 26 years, yeah. I need to know, is that person 26? Oh. Yeah, yeah, okay. Like, have they always been single? Yeah. Or, you know, were they, was their last relationship when they were like 25? And do you want to be single or?
Starting point is 00:53:02 Yeah. It kind of seems like they don't, doesn't it? I feel like the longer you are single, the more comfortable you'd get. Yeah. Someone said, does it count as a losing streak with my colleagues as to who stacks the dishwasher in the staff room? It's been nine months. That sucks.
Starting point is 00:53:19 That sucks. They know that if they don't do it, you will. And you know, if you don't do it, no one will. You got to, I think, put your foot down and just have a standoff. I told you about what I did at my workplace when this was happening, right? Because I can't, I can't be amongst dirty dishes. Don't do it. Don't encourage that person to do what you did.
Starting point is 00:53:38 You took a poo in the dishwasher. No, I didn't do that. I didn't do that. People washed their dishes then, didn't they? I didn't do that? that. That's why you got dismissed from MediaWorks. I did a poo in the cutlery drawer.
Starting point is 00:53:56 No, I started putting people's dishes in the rubbish bin. Yeah, that's right. And I was like, if no one is going to wash these, you don't deserve dishes. Didn't you get in trouble? Yeah, I got haul into front of management. And they were like, stop doing that. They said, what are you doing? And I explained my rationale.
Starting point is 00:54:11 I said, I am the only one in this office that takes dishes out. If I don't, we'll be sitting amongst dirty butter chicken plates. Justin Bieber will come in here for a Frickin interview and there'll be someone's roast lamb half eaten on a plate there So what am I doing? They don't deserve dishes, I'm taking them away. Also, some pig has done a poo in the dishwasher
Starting point is 00:54:32 I was almost a written warning that one actually Someone said I'm on a 39 year Lotto losing streak Same Same Someone said I'm currently on a losing streak With my health I've been diagnosed with new medical conditions
Starting point is 00:54:48 or impairments every year for the last five or six years. It's tragic, but it's just another day for a chronic illness girlie. They've got a good sense of humour about it. Someone's texted and said, 2021, fifth place, 22, fourth place, 23, third place, 24, second place, 2025, 2025, second place. I've got it. Imagine you peak at second in this year, 2026, third place.
Starting point is 00:55:23 You'd be fuming. What about this? It said, when I was learning to play squash, I played with rather large round women who had me running left to right at the back of the court until I mastered the drop shot. Loll, we played 346 games before I took a game off of them. Rather large round women.
Starting point is 00:55:45 They're the best. Yeah, they're bloody good at squash. They're very good. If they can control the court, you know? How dare you say that about them? What? If they can control the court. No, the thing you said before, they're very good at squash.
Starting point is 00:55:57 Squashing. That's so mean. That was your joke. I just said it. Oops. The person who was on a 25-year single losing streak, they have ticks back. Yeah? They're 25.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Okay. I think, that's fine then. It's just a... Hey, Ed? You just haven't found someone good enough for you yet. How old was the person and never been? being kissed? She was 30?
Starting point is 00:56:22 Yeah, so five years to go. I reckon? I need to know if that person's still listening, the one that was like 2021, fifth place, 2022, fourth place, what were you competing in? Yeah, good question. What is it in? And are you, when do you get the result for 2026? Yeah, or have you quit?
Starting point is 00:56:38 You gave up. I gave up. ZADM's Breed and Clint podcast. Brie and Clint. All I want from my birthday to the birthday binger. We take your birthday and we figure out what was the number one song when you turned 16 and we'll play our favourite. Amy is very selflessly going to do her mum's birthday banger. Hi Amy.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Hi, Amy. Hey, guys. How you doing? Good, thank you, Amy. What is mum's name? Tracy. Tracy. And what's her birthday?
Starting point is 00:57:06 5th of October 1960. All right. That's easy math for me. She was 16 in 1976 and here's mum's birthday banger. Oh, Mama's got a ripper, Amy. Oh, yes she does. Is she there with you? No, sadly she passed away 20 years ago, but she would have loved that.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Well, she got a bloody ripper. Yes, she did. Is our first posthumous birthday banger? Maybe. I quite like that as a nod to someone that's passed. Yeah. Through their birthday banger? Lisa's head.
Starting point is 00:57:51 to do a birthday banger. Hi, Lise. Hi, Lisa. Hi, how are you? Good, thank you. Hi. Who's that? Kizia. Hi, Kizia. Nice to have you on the radio. Kizzie. Have you ever been on the radio before Kizza? No. No. No. First time to hear us. Yeah, girl. That's your heart. First time call you. Go Kizia. That's so cool. Now let's do mum's birthday banger. Lise, what's your date of birth? The 2nd of May, 1983.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Right. That means you was 16 and 1999. And let's see what you got Hell yeah What a roo Lisa, please tell me you're a Shania fan Oh She's not really, Kizya.
Starting point is 00:58:46 What about you, Kizia? Are you a fan? I've never heard this. You would love it. You would love it, Kizya. You would be a fan. I love it. Yay! I love Kizya.
Starting point is 00:58:59 My God, Lisa, play that girl some Shania Twain. Yeah, what are you doing, Lisa? You've got to educate the youth. It's our responsibility. You're depriving your kid of men. I feel like a woman. We'll play it all evening.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Okay. Excellent. I don't believe you, but okay. One more birthday banger for JR. Hi, J.R. Hi, J.R. Hi, how are you not? Good, mate.
Starting point is 00:59:21 What have you been doing today? Just work. I'd also like to say long-time listener, first-time caller. Yeah, you are. Feels good, J-R. to finally get you on the radio. Now that you're here, let's do your birthday banger. What's your birthday?
Starting point is 00:59:41 25th of September, 1992. Lovely voice, I must say. What does a man would the name J.R. do for work? Are you a sheriff? No, I am in forestry. Yeah, that was my next guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like he's in the car keys.
Starting point is 00:59:58 You were 16 in 2008, and here's your birthday back. Oh, we've got the trilogy today. Is that a bit of you, J.R? Yes, I can definitely remember it. What would you vote for? Probably Sinaiate's Lane. Yeah, good man. Okay, noted, noted, thank you, J.R.
Starting point is 01:00:24 We'll take that on board. So we've got Aba, Shania and P. Money. That is a ripping line-up of tunes. It is a ripping line up. There's only one clear winner for me, though. Quite you're in, my mind. brain. I read your mind. Lisa, Kizia, you guys are the winners. Wow. Enjoy your first listen, Keizier, of Shania Twain. That don't impress me much.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Brian Clint. I know a few guys who thought they were pretty smart. The ZDM Podcast Network. Shanaia Twain, I'm ZDM with Brian Clint. It's the winner of birthday banger for Lisa and Kizier, if you're still listening to. Thanks for calling through, guys. one in the year 1999. People, people, I'm going to say, I believe she's the original Ella Langley.
Starting point is 01:01:15 Oh yeah. I would have thought Dolly Pardon was the original Ella Langley. No, she, well, she's the original Shania Twain. Who? Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton is the original Shania Twain. Yeah. Oh yeah, okay, I see what you're saying. And then any before that?
Starting point is 01:01:30 Nope, I think Dolly is ground zero. Yeah. For what? Hot country, Hot country, women, female musicians. Yep. Yeah. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Yeah. Who's that for the men? Willie Nelson. He was handsome in his day. Very handsome in his day. Charlie Pride. Nelson. Johnny Cash.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Johnny Cash, the man in black. I wouldn't say Johnny Cash was country, would you? Yep, I would. Good. I like it. just hold your line. Yeah. You know?
Starting point is 01:02:08 And the people go, oh, well, Clint's pretty positive. Clint seems pretty confident. Cliff Richards? Yeah. Chester Beddington. It's ZAM's Bree and Clint podcast. Big changes coming for social media in Australia.
Starting point is 01:02:24 Maybe if the government get their way. Okay? They've already banned it for under 16s in Australia. Mm-hmm. Now, this new law change would give people over the age of 16 a genuine choice about whether they want to have algorithm-driven content or not. So what they're proposing is that people have the ability to turn the algorithm off. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Because you don't realize that the algorithm is a recent invention as far as Instagram goes. We didn't used to have it. It didn't used to work like that. So the options are... Yeah, you just used to be fed stuff from people that you followed pages. Correct. in the time that they posted it. But now the algorithm creates this never-ending loop of just stuff
Starting point is 01:03:12 that you constantly are scrolling through. So your two choices if they get their way, in Australia at least, will be one algorithmic feed, which is what we have now, personalized posts and video recommendations based on your activity and interests and which businesses pay the most money to force their product into your timeline, which they say is bad because it sends people down a rabbit hole and it influences their thinking in ways that are maybe not healthy for them. Or a non-algorism feed,
Starting point is 01:03:45 which is content from your friends, accounts and creators that you've chosen to follow. Yeah. So your follow becomes incredibly important. I think that's what it should be. That's the way that you see stuff. And that's the way it always used to be. I feel like Zuckerberg and his people ruined it.
Starting point is 01:04:04 Yeah. Because it's just a big money-making machine and they're like, what if we can shove people's, like, what if we can put stuff in people's feeds and shove brands down their throats? It's been proven in recent lawsuits in the States that it is intentionally designed to hold your attention for as long as possible,
Starting point is 01:04:22 even though they know the damage that that can do and how addictive it is, particularly for young people. So... If it was just my... friends like in my feed, God, that would be boring as and I'd go outside for a walk or something. Yeah. Yeah. The issue whether it is. Oh, not my friend's bloody kid again. Here we go. Yeah. You know, I've been like I've seen it. But you'd go, cool, I've seen everything. Yep. I can go out and live my life now. It also might make you, it could be a positive for the social media companies too, because it might
Starting point is 01:04:54 encourage us to post more because there are a lot of people now who just don't post because all you see is stuff from, fitness influences and phenomenal cooks and things like that and you're like, well, why am I going to put up my shitty beach photo? Yeah. But actually, if it goes back to being a way that you get to see what your friends are doing, then you might do it? Mm-hmm. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:05:17 It's only proposed at this stage. Do you get scared to post? Do I get scared to post? I get scared to post. I'm like, oh, quite, there's more pressure on it these days than what they used to be. Yeah, right. You know, like when it was just friends and family, You're like, oh, I'll post this and I'll post that.
Starting point is 01:05:34 Whereas these days I'm like, we're not post that. Oh, really? Sometimes. People love your posts. Sometimes I'm like, that's not very, that's not funny enough. I'm not going to post that. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:05:44 I feel like it's gotten to that point with me, which sucks. I'd love to know what the filter is when you go to do a post, eh? Because you're like, does it include me farting? Yes. Was it on my mother? Yes. Wait, are you shocked that you? Is she disgusted?
Starting point is 01:06:00 Yes. Well, it ticks all the boxes, up it goes. Are you shocked that I don't post because I get scared? Yeah, that there's a filter. I want to see the shit that's on the cutting room floor. I want to see the stuff that didn't make the feed. You don't want to see the dross that doesn't make it. Anyway, it works in the space.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Your timeline could be changing. It's ZM's Brinklin podcast. Been a while since we've had JoJo Siwa news on the show. Drink gas, you're my podcast. Yeah, we've all enjoyed the break, to be honest. But our producer Ella said there's JoJo Siwa news that we need to get across. Ella? Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:06:40 You're a big fan, hey, of JoJo Seawar. You always have been, always will be, you always say. Yeah, they say, Kamuz, Abish. Yeah, Ella, where's the Bose still? Yeah, I've heard Jojo Bo. There's a question I want to ask you guys. And then Jojo Seaward inspired me to ask it. Right.
Starting point is 01:06:58 I'll have to play you this audio. She's in a podcast. you will be giggling when you hear it but then I will ask the question right listen it's funny that you ask about my accent so I'm from Nebraska originally but I have a twang
Starting point is 01:07:12 of an English accent and it's because of my boyfriend and his family and his friends and just always talk to often right and so he doesn't hear it his family doesn't hear it but Americans are like where's your accent and I'm like it's Nebraska and they're like that's not it
Starting point is 01:07:26 how long you've been together a year and five months oh my So my question is, one, can adults get their, have their accent change? Maybe they have been living in Europe or wherever for a long time. For a year. But can it change in a year? I have not heard. What the heck?
Starting point is 01:07:46 I did not hear one slight bit of an English accent. And she said that the English don't hear it, but Americans do. So can you text us on 9-6-96 if you're American? Did you hear any British in Jojo Cewar's accent? Not one bit. Because by Jojo Siwa's logic, I should have an Australian accent from working with Bree so closely for eight years. Yeah, because I don't, does she live in the UK?
Starting point is 01:08:08 No. She just lives with her boyfriend who is from the UK. And apparently her boyfriend is English friends. Yeah, well, he would, he would do. This is quite an interesting one for me because I feel like I have lived in New Zealand for eight years now. Yeah. And I get told by my Australian friends, you've got a slight kuby accent.
Starting point is 01:08:31 Okay. Eight years feels right, though. What's that? Eight years feels an appropriate amount of time. But this is eight years of total immersion. 100%. You have been in New Zealand for eight years. But this is what I want to ask you guys.
Starting point is 01:08:45 Can you hear it in my accent? You don't say, it's only said in words now where I remember that you are Australian. Yeah, right. There'll be things that you say. So you think I sound quite Kiwi now. When you say Kiwi? Did you hear me then? Or I'm just used to you.
Starting point is 01:09:01 I don't know what it is. I don't know. Would you say Gorn that we're like, oh yeah, that's right? You're Australian. Pool? Yeah. I notice my Kiwi accent sometimes. Like when I say certain things.
Starting point is 01:09:13 Like what do I? Things. Nah, it's still there. Yeah, I would say you're definitely Australian. But certain words I just naturally say with a Kiwi accent now. Like France. Like I've never said France or dance in my life, but I say it now. What would you say?
Starting point is 01:09:30 Dance. See? Naturally I go to say dance. Dance monkey. That's why you like the song so much. Dance monkey, dance monkey by Tans and I. Actually, Jo Jo C was singing that song would be quite similar. Awful.
Starting point is 01:09:42 Yeah, you're right. Someone says my parents are from Scotland and when I would go to their house in the school holidays, I would come back from theirs with a Scottish twang. I get it for a child Because children are still picking things up They're impressionable Someone said yes Adults can change
Starting point is 01:10:00 I'm Canadian But I have a bit of a British And Kiwi creep In demanding on who I'm with Depending on who I'm with I grew up in Canada and the UK So it confuses people About where I'm from
Starting point is 01:10:12 Being in New Zealand now for 17 years And I'm much more Kiwi sounding now You're a total bitsa This is good Yeah A year though for Jojo Nah-uh So here's a test for breed
Starting point is 01:10:22 Don't think about it, Bree. Can you say, what is a king and a queen live in? King and a queen lives in a castle. But what would you say? Where do a king and queen live in Australia? Castle. I love the Aussie accent, eh? So that great Aussie movie.
Starting point is 01:10:39 Yeah. The castle. The castle. Three, can you please say hostel? Hostel. Hostel? So necklace. Necklace.
Starting point is 01:10:49 No. Necklace. Yeah. That's the real Brie. That's the Brie I remember. But I'm not like doing it on purpose. Like I think naturally I just go to say Kiwi words, the Kiwi way.
Starting point is 01:11:02 Are you the Jojo Siwa of this show? I always said that. I dream guests in my podcast. I'm so glad you are. Play ZDM's Brea and Clint on Inser, Facebook, TikTok and live weekdays from three on ZDM.
