That's at 5 o'clock, but the one everyone's talking about. Ellie Harwood's first attempt at Friday, Oaky.
Starting point is 00:01:00 I don't think we're all talking about this. Do we have a little clip of the song? Oh, that's a great question, Bree. Let me just pair for time as I look on the. I'm sure producer Claudia will be all over it. There probably is. A little bit of background. Obviously, you know me and my singing capabilities.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Awful. Clint's awful. No, you're not. That's what makes the segment so fun. Ellie Harwood, on the other hand, very musically gifted, and today we're both going to be tackling this one from Madonna. I'm in tune there.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Well done. I didn't do that in the booth. That was a fluke. She won best artists at the VMAs this week, so we decided to pay homage to Madonna, and you'll hear that at 5 o'clock. An actual treat for people these days. What, hearing someone can actually sing?
Starting point is 00:01:58 Yeah. It'll be an actual treat Friday O'Kee. Well, half of it will be. Yeah. I haven't heard it. I don't know how I did. I don't know if I nailed it or not. I'm insecure.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Stop trying to play it down. You know that is one of your talents. I'm so excited to hear it. It'll be nice to hear someone who can actually sing for once. So Friday Oki, that's just after 5 o'clock. But let's do Trady versus Lady, shall we? Yes. Call out of 100 Dial Z-DiM right now if you want to play. The Traders are winning.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Still by quite a lot, aren't they? Yes, they are. 50 bucks you can win for a Friday headed into the weekend. Play Z-Eatim's Bree and Clint. It's our last game for the week of Trady versus Lady. This is the main event. Treaty versus ladies. I saw a clip of that woman that went viral this week because she was at the Jason Derulo concert
Starting point is 00:02:52 and she was the one up on stage. And she killed it. I've heard so much about it. Crushed it. Amazing. Like was better than any of the dancers on stage. I was like, she's amazing. I was like she must have practiced like heaps for this.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Yeah. Knowing that she might get picked. Nah. Apparently they picked her out and then they taught her the dance. just before she went on the stage. That's amazing. Outrageous. Some people are so talented.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Hey, Trady versus Lady. The Trades are running away with this thing. They're on 88 points for the year. The ladies trailing behind. They're on 76. Yes. So let's welcome to the show. He is 43 years old.
Starting point is 00:03:30 He's from Christchurch. And today, he's got his son on site at work. Hello, Steve. Welcome to the show. Gannay, Steve. Hello, how I is? Good, mate. What's your son's name?
Starting point is 00:03:40 Sam. Oh, my, hello, Sam. Sam is allowed to help you in this game, Steve, okay? Okay, all right, Sam, you're on too. That is allowed. Let's see who you'll be facing. All right, she's from Auckland, she's 39, and is a professional drug dealer, aka pharmacist. Welcome to the show, Linda.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Hello, hello. How's doing? Hi, Linda. I have never thought about the fact that pharmacists are technically professional drug dealers. See that? Well, hopefully, in a legal way. legal and legally and professionally. Yes, of course.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Yes, moderated, regulated. Yeah, 100%. Love your work. All the things. Linda, all the things. Hey, guys, here's the rules. Steve, your buzzer is tradie. Linda, your buzzer is lady.
Starting point is 00:04:24 When you think you know the answer, yell out. If you get three correct, we will give you the 50 bucks and the win. We ready? Ready. Oh, thank you. All right, guys.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Here we go. Best of like. Question number one. Name the fictional character that Merrill Street plays in the movie the Devil Weirs Prada. Oh. No Devil Wees Prada's fair.
Starting point is 00:04:49 No. Okay. We'll buzz you out. No one's seen Devil Wears Prada. No, haven't. Miranda Priestley is the fictional character we were looking for. Modelled off Anna Wintour,
Starting point is 00:05:04 actually. We move on to question two. Name one of the NRL teams that will battle it out this weekend. Yes, Steve. The Knights. The Knights will take on the roosters this weekend in the NRL grand final. One to the Trades. Question number three.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Buzz in when you can tell me who sings this song. Lady Gaga. Linda? Lady Gaga. It is Lady Gaga. Well done. We are all tied up. One apiece.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Question number four. Who wrote The Pride and the Prejudice? Yes, Linda. Yes, Linda. Oh, sorry. Was it? Lady. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:47 I'm going to take a stab, Jane Austen. It is Jane Austen. Well done. Two to the ladies, one to the tradies. You need this one here, Steve, to keep yourselves in it. Question number five. What is celebrated on the 31st of October every year? Trady.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Yes, Steve. Halloween. Halloween. We are all tied up here in the six. What a game. Here we go, guys. This is for the win. In maths, what are the first three numbers of pie?
Starting point is 00:06:16 Lady. Linda just got in. Three, three foot one, four. She's a lady. I'm going to, oh, she's a lady. I'll tell you what, that was a tight old game. It was. Linda just pipped you at the post, Steve, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Well done. Call back any time and play against, Steve. We'd love to have you on. Linda, 50 bucks and a win for the ladies coming your way. Well done. Amazing. you. No worries at all. I wouldn't have no idea. What's that? The first three letters of, like I know three. Yeah. I think I know the first three and that's it. I would have said 3.15. I don't know why. Okay. Yeah. No, so 3.14. So when you need to use that knowledge any time in your life, there it is. It's so many times in my life. All of my math stuff I learned at school I've used many times. Same. You know what they always used to say? They won't have a calculator in your back pocket. Well, guess what? I do. It's called a cell phone. There you go. ZDM's Brie and Clint podcast.
Starting point is 00:07:18 To Ellie Harwood filling in and you were talking about conspiracy theories that are harmless. Yes, not the big ones. We're just talking about fun, lighthearted, harmless conspiracy theories that you might have. I love a big conspiracy theory. I mean, same.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Yeah. We'll rain it in today. Let's talk about the moon landing after. I was on threads last night, Bree. You've learned this week that I peruse threads. I said to you, I was like, oh, you know how like no one uses threads. you were like, what?
Starting point is 00:07:47 I'm on threads all the time. Yeah, I. And I wasn't originally. But then I randomly found it recently, and I quite like it because it's small, digestible bits of text that I can read. Right, we don't need the full life story. Fair enough. But I saw a thread last night and someone asked,
Starting point is 00:08:02 if you have a conspiracy theory about something completely harmless, the floor is yours. I like, ooh, I like it. Ooh, fun, what are they? So, I'm going to read a few. Okay. And we can discuss whether we think these are actually got some legs or not. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Um, first one I saw, lost socks. You know how you always lose them in the washing machine. God, my mum's the worst. She doesn't have a matching pair in her wardrobe. Really? Nah. She just, yeah, I do that too, to be honest. Just a little mismatching.
Starting point is 00:08:25 You do that. Yeah. Yeah, no, I mean, not really sees it, do they? No, they do, actually. People see it. They do. Uh, lost socks reincarnate into Tupperware lids when we're not looking. Oh.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Imagine. You know you always in it with more? Yeah, why is there always more tupperware lids? I know, and then no socks. Yeah. So, there you go. I thought that could have a, some legs. There's also another
Starting point is 00:08:45 harmless conspiracy theory here that someone's mentioned. Birds that land on power lines are actually spy drones recharging. Oogily boogly. What was it? We always got told as kids that if you're touching two of the power lines at once, you get electrocuted.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Oh, is that what you were told? Yeah. Really? Yeah. I mean, I don't even know if I... And that's why birds, you know, when they sit on a power line because they're just on one, they don't get electrocuted. Really? But if they had a long enough, like, leg or legs, if they split the splits. Let's say they, for some reason, they tried to fly through and their wings touched each one.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Oh, they'd be gone. That's what we got told as kids. Oh, risky business for the birds there. Another harmless conspiracy theory that I read last night, T-Rex arms aren't actually arms. They're dragon wings, but the cartilage decayed over centuries and left those alarms. Look, again, there's a conspiracy theories. But you know how like T-Rexes have like little arms? Yeah, tiny little, little arms.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Imagine if they were actually wings, but because of like fossils not kind of retaining the wings, what if those were wings? Because if you look at their skeletons, they look like chickens. They look like big chickens. True. You know, like did they have wings? I see what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Were they actually little arms? Because those little arms look pretty impractical. Like what did they use those for? Exactly, so maybe. They were wings. Buzzy G. Buzzy G. There's another one here, another harmless.
Starting point is 00:10:12 conspiracy theory. Our digestive system knows when we're close to a familiar toilet. At first you're fine and then bam, got a poo. Yep, I believe it. Yeah, me too. And then one more here. Cereal companies haven't evolved to zip-locking their bags because they
Starting point is 00:10:28 want the cereal to go bad so that we buy more. That's not a conspiracy theory. That's 100%. That's true. Exactly what it is. I agree, actually. Same with a lot of things. Like cruskets. How have you not bloody invented a thing to zip-block a crusket? Because they can go quite stale quite quick.
Starting point is 00:10:43 They need, got that stale tendency about them. Yeah, I know. You can't leave them for one second with some oxygen otherwise. Boom. Yeah, boom. Stale as. I will purposely buy things that have like resellable stuff on them now over other things. Yeah, fair enough.
Starting point is 00:10:59 It's just wasteful otherwise. Yeah. Even the plastic that we're wasting, you know, chucking them out and then the food wasteage. And with the cost of living at the moment, you know, you've got a bloody save where you can. You got to think about these things. You do. But I was kind of thinking. Do people listening?
Starting point is 00:11:14 Do you have it a harmless conspiracy theory? I like it. Nothing heavy, nothing too crazy. But like just something that's harmless, but you think, I've got a theory on this and I reckon this could have some legs. I want you to call up, oh, $100,000, or 96,96 on the text machine. What's your harmless conspiracy theory?
Starting point is 00:11:30 Like the more chapstick you use, the more you need it. Yeah. That's actually possibly, do you reckon that's kind of half facts? I reckon it's quite true. Yeah, like you kind of rely on it eventually, eh? Yeah. Yeah. Your lips become, you know, just fiends for it.
Starting point is 00:11:45 They're like, oh, I need my chapstick now. Yeah, that's true. All right, 0800 dials at M or you can text us on 9-696 with your harmless conspiracy theories. There's a few coming through on the text machine. This one is quite mussy. It says, dogs think that we need their poo to make chocolate. They always see us picking up their poo and we never give them chocolate so they think we need it to live. That is convoluted, but I can see where you're coming from, though.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Mate, it's not 420 yet. Holy smokes. What about this? Certain political parties pay people to drive slow and hold up traffic so people want more roads built. Oh, that's interesting. No, I think there's just infuriating drivers on the roads. I think. I think that's true, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:31 There's another one here talking about seedless fruit at supermarkets. There's a couple about seedless fruit. They're theorizing that seedless fruit is now. at supermarkets more and more so that they can control how much we can or can't grow at home. So they're taking our seeds away. So we have to rely on the big supermarkets. What do you reckon? Are you come from an apple farm?
Starting point is 00:12:51 What's your theory on that? It's pretty difficult to grow like a tree or a plant from seeds. Yeah. Like from fruit that you're eating at home. Like it is pretty difficult. A lot of the time, if you do end up growing a bush or a tree or whatever, they don't. grow fruit. Right, okay. So it's quite hard. It's a lot of science behind
Starting point is 00:13:13 growing fruit trees. I mean, we can still go to the plant shop and buy some seeds. That's true actually. But I guess yeah, they're trying to theorise that. But I do like where they're going. I do understand why they would think that and potentially it could be true. I don't know. Who knows? Who bloody knows?
Starting point is 00:13:30 There's another one here. Someone said David Ademara is really God. He finally got upset enough about things he made being an unnoticed or underappreciated that he came down, started making documentaries for us to marvel at the things he created without being distracted by his real self. I think that's got some legs.
Starting point is 00:13:47 God, I love David Attenborough. Same. He'd be a great God. He would actually. Or maybe he is. This is what this person's saying. Maybe he is good. Someone else said, my theory is that bed shops are for money laundering.
Starting point is 00:14:00 They are always opening new stores, but they're always empty. Do you remember all go and sleep in there? Maybe they're like secret little, well, they don't actually be good. They should make those little, like, secret hotels for people that need a little place to sleep, you know? Yeah, if they're just sitting there doing nothing. Why not? Why not? Why, bloody not?
Starting point is 00:14:20 Danica's called through on 0800 dials at M. Hi, Danica. How you doing, bro? Good, mate. What's your conspiracy theory that's harmless? Well, I think the clints have been planted in radio because I never met a Clint, except there's one or two on a competing radio stage. You know what? You're so true. You did right.
Starting point is 00:14:43 What are the odds of that? I know. And I don't think I've met another Clint either, apart from the ones I've met, which are those two. Yeah. Maybe it's not even their real names. Maybe it's just something they've made up for radio. Dun, dun, done, done.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Well, our Clint, the Clint who works here, his real name's Clinton, but he rebranded when he went to radio school. He goes, I can pull off the name, Clint. Yeah, Clint. Yeah. So you're on to something, Dan, Dan, yeah. you were on to something. You are.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Thank you for your call, Danica. Thanks, mate. Appreciate it. I love hearing our people's brains work. Yeah, same. And that Clint one's really got me because I've also had that same thought before and gone,
Starting point is 00:15:20 what are the chances? What are the bloody chances? And who would call them? Child Clint. Something that I know about you is you're fascinated by the human brain. Oh, so much. Give it to me.
Starting point is 00:15:37 You just love it. Anything about the human brain? and how our brains work. Fascinated. You're into it. Yeah, my special interest, 100%. Which I feel like I'm a bit the same. Not as much as you, but I saw this and I knew you would love it. But it's the guy who wrote the very famous book, The Art of Not Giving a,
Starting point is 00:15:55 his name's Mark Manson and he is a genius. And he studies all things, you know, about the human brain and how our brains work. And he posted this video where he was talking about the five universal laws of life and if you understand these five laws, he believes 90% of your problems
Starting point is 00:16:19 will go away. Oh, are you about to fix my life? Maybe. Oh my goodness. Maybe. Yeah, give it to me. Let's start off with the law that I feel like is the most famous. Everyone talks about it. Most people know it, which is Murphy's Law. First law is Murphy's Law. Murphy's Law says that anything that can go wrong eventually will go wrong.
Starting point is 00:16:38 This sounds like pessimism, but it's also just reality. Hmm. Wow. That's quite humbling, actually. Dark. I thought I was being, you know, oh, be more optimistic. But he's saying, no, you're probably right. Probably will go wrong.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Sweet. Your brain's probably working in a way where eventually, I mean, not good to hear from someone like me who has a lot of anxiety. Yep. But yeah, that's what Murphy's law is. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I think anxiety is actually a way of like you're trying to protect yourself, sort of.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Like, you're trying to predict things to just keep yourself safe. To soften the blow. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. These laws, I believe you may have heard of some of them, but you may have never heard of any of them.
Starting point is 00:17:17 The next one is Kidland's Law. Law Number two, Kidland's Law. If you can write the problem down clearly, you've already solved half of it. Most people don't have complicated lives. They just haven't clarified what the problems are. I would agree with this, actually. I have, yeah, many times. I have, my head's like, oh, I'm so panics.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Yeah. And then I'll write some stuff down. I'm like, oh, that's actually quite easy. I just got to do this and then I'll do that and then problem solved. Fine. Yeah, that's a good one. So it's a great one. Next one is Wilson's Law.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Number three, Wilson's Law. If you put value and intelligence first, the money will show up as a side effect. If you put money first, then you usually sacrifice the things that would have made you valuable in the first place. Oh, I could not agree more with this. This is my main thing is like, if you want to start a podcast or anything, it has to come from, passion. It has to come from giving value. It can't be because you just want to make a quick buck. It has to come from the
Starting point is 00:18:14 real heart. Love that one. Do things for the right reasons and the money will eventually come. Exactly. The next one, Falklands Law. Number four, Falklands Law. When you don't have to make a decision, don't make one. You create anxiety when you demand
Starting point is 00:18:30 answers too early. Oh yeah. Did you just see my breath go? Because I get decision paralysis and I hate decisions anyway. So why make a decision unless you really have to. That's very true. Like take the pressure off. Do you have to decide right now? You don't. No. So why are you stressing yourself out? And the last one
Starting point is 00:18:46 is Gilbert's Law. And number five, Gilbert's Law. Most conflict is caused by unspoken problems. So problem solved by speaking up. Oh, very true as well. I think, and it's a communication issue too. I sometimes forget that people can't actually read my mind and I think I'm communicating it properly, but I'm probably not. It's very true.
Starting point is 00:19:06 100%. I'm such a big advocate for just getting stuff out in the open. Yeah. Like up front, just let's talk it out. And then we can all move past it. Exactly. And if you struggle with talking, you can always write it down as well. Like you can communicate in different ways. You don't always have to talk. But if you just need to write it down, send them a little letter and say,
Starting point is 00:19:24 I'd prefer to send this this way. You know, am I just giving a counseling session? No way. Wait, hold on. You want to write something down? Ellie, please stop burping and farting in the studio. Okay, thank you. Okay, I've gone back.
Starting point is 00:19:36 Hi, Bree. straight back at you. Yesterday we were talking about a new version of Wordle called Poople. It sure is. And essentially it's not what it sounds. No. It's basically like Wordle, but not.
Starting point is 00:19:55 A little bit different. Kind of different. You start with one word of four letters and you've got to change one letter each time and then change it to poop as quickly as possible with fewer words as possible. I feel like that game was made for you. It really was. It caught my eye, man. But the thing I found interesting is you said that it was actually created by a family who used to play this game in their family.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Yeah, so I found a Reddit thread from the people who made it. And they basically played this game on car rides. And they thought, everyone should play this. So they literally developed a web tool and now you can play it online. Yeah, so interesting. Yeah. It got us talking about games that we believe our families, created and that we played growing up.
Starting point is 00:20:39 And you had a very country sort of version yourself. What was your one, Bree? Yeah, pine cone wars. Sounds so safe. Yeah. So safe. And it was, you had two teams and then you collected as many pine cones as you could in like five minutes and then you used hurl pine cones at each other.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And the game got cancelled unfortunately because David Savio from down the road got hit in the face and had to get stitches. Gosh, David. Got to ruin it for everyone. Always ruining everything. Yeah. And well, in your family, yeah, my dad made like a little CD-ROM game back in the early 2000s called Random Race Day, where he got an actual commentator of horse racing, got to do all these different things,
Starting point is 00:21:15 and then you could basically like bet on this fake horse racing. It was very cool. And you used to play it in your family. We did, yeah, it was very cool. Whenever asked producer Claudia, did you have any games that you believe your family created? You're making me, like, realize that my family was real straight with games. We played I spy. We played hide and seek.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Monopoly. Monopoly. That's about it. I don't think we made up any. Yeah. Actually, I've just thought one of my sister and I did. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Paige had a, this is, I don't know what it was meant for, but she had a pickle and every time you'd hit a button it would sing the song. And it was called Pass the Pickle. But we used to play it on the trampoline.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Okay. So you had to like basically jump, jump, jump, jump. And then when the pickle stopped singing, I think you had to be the last, the last one who had jumped on their bum on the tramp was out. So it was kind of... I love how kids just come up with rules like that.
Starting point is 00:22:03 I know. Yeah. Another one we played in my family, we rolled a tractor tire down the side of the dam and if you got hit, then you're out. Oh my, you are bruce. How are you alive? We were wearing softball helmets. So it was all good. Okay, sweet-hance. Yeah, and all good. We want to hear from you guys. What is the game you believe that you think your family created or maybe you and your siblings created? What was it?
Starting point is 00:22:30 The ZDM Podcast Network. There's a couple of people who played the game that we played as kids called Pine Cone Wars. You see, I thought you were just on your own there, but it sounds like that was quite a common thing. I feel like it's other country kids coming out of the woodwork. Yeah, I'm a city girl, so we didn't have enough room to throw pine cones. Yeah. It's basically you collect as many pine cones as you can and some, like with sticks still attached to them and you hurl them at each other. And, yeah, basically got cancelled because it was too dangerous.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Yeah, I don't know if I personally would find that fun. I would be just scared and wipe them in my hands. No. What are you doing this weekend? No, I'm not playing. I'm not playing. We'll discuss off air. But we're asking you guys, what was the game that your family created?
Starting point is 00:23:14 Let's talk to Helen. Hi, Helen. Hi. What was the game, Helen? We had a game called hallway skids. Oh, yeah. Love it. And what did that entail?
Starting point is 00:23:25 The beanbag against the front door. Okay. Everyone wearing socks. Calcom powder on the carpet. and you would run through the hallway, jump, skid along the carpet and the beanbag was for safety. Nice. I love that you had the help and safety in mind there.
Starting point is 00:23:42 And did anyone get injured? Yeah, my older brother didn't wait for his turn and he went too early. I was still skidding and he landed on my arm. Oh, shut up. My parents thought that they could hear the brakes on the other end of the house. Oh, my goodness. Oh, Helen.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Was that the end of skids or? Yep, it was no more, we weren't about to play anymore. Oh, God, brothers ruin everything. They do, eh? They do, always. They get too reckless. They get a little bit too arrogant, don't they? Good while it lasted, though, Helen.
Starting point is 00:24:12 It was great fun. Yeah, I bet. I'm going to play skids tonight. Which kind? Not the one Helen's talking about. Tex are calling through, Helen. We appreciate it. A lot of texts coming through.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Someone said, as kids, we played touch butts. basically it was tag but you had to tag each other on the butt when the parents found out we weren't allowed to play anymore we were just innocent kids yeah look you can't kind of be over the age of six and be doing that you know yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:24:44 probably best to stop doing that one sounds way more fun than just normal tag though yeah it does yeah I mean it's kind of like rip a rugby it is actually you know yeah because the tags were you rip a rugby you're down around your bum that's true actually yeah
Starting point is 00:24:58 someone else said we made a game called Where's My Goblin? And you have a goblin and it's name and you have to guess where it is. We play on long drives and it starts with the name and how tall it is. Interesting. So how does that work? Yeah, I'm trying to work out how I'm guessing someone makes up your one for you
Starting point is 00:25:15 and you've got to guess it kind of thing. Maybe you kind of like 20 questions. Someone else is making it up for you. Fun. I like it. Someone else said, me and my siblings created this game in which one person would be the ho-ho. Okay. Would hide in a bedroom. whilst all the other players waited in the room at the end of the hallway, the safe room. When Ho-Ho was ready, they would shout out and the other players would come down the hallway
Starting point is 00:25:40 and try and find Ho-ho in each room. Once they saw Ho-ho, the ho-ho could chase them back to the start room to try and tag them. They're so creative and random. Yeah. Why were they called a ho-ho? I really need to know that. Can you text us the reason? I really need to know-no.
Starting point is 00:25:57 That was a sitter. Oh, this one's maybe a bit, you know, don't try this at home, but he says we created a game called Shoot. The idea was to run between two sheds in our garden. You would take it turns to run between the two sheds with a frying pan, protecting your head while someone shot at you with an air rifle with pallets in it. All was good until I was shot in the face. And I spat the palate out.
Starting point is 00:26:20 So he obviously got in his mouth. And then mum and dad were not very happy and they weren't allowed to play it anymore. I bet they weren't. That's so dangerous. It is so, but I mean, you know, they were trying to, the frying pan was there. They were trying their best to keep a safe. That makes bloody pine cone walls look like child's play. It does.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Hey, we appreciate your text. Very good. It's ZDM's Bree and Clint podcast. Right now we're doing this. Please don't stop them. What the hell? Bree and Clint's One Second Song Challenge. That's right.
Starting point is 00:26:54 The One Second Song Challenge and is brought to you by KFC. You can try the. liquid gold sauce right now here for a limited time only. Producer Ellie, you were here for the conception of this game, but you never got to play. I sure was, and I'm actually quite offended because I've just noticed the opener's changed, and I used to sing on the original opener. So what happened to that? Excuse me? Oh, sorry, my bad. Time is waiting.
Starting point is 00:27:20 You only get one second of a song. No hesitating. You only got one second. Oh, one second. You're quick, Claude. Well done. Are you happy now? I'm so happy now. I'm all over it. Bringing back the original for you, just for you. This is where we take turns, guessing songs, as quickly as we can,
Starting point is 00:27:38 and we play with teammates. Today, I'll be playing with you, Lana. Hello, babe. How are you? How's your music knowledge? Not too bad, but I'll probably suck now in my life. I feel like I'm quite similar to you, Lana. Let's just give it a crack and see how we go, okay?
Starting point is 00:27:57 Yeah. All right, you'll be taking on Ellie. and Ali. Hi, Ellie. Hi, Ellie. Oh, nice to meet you. Or as the Kiwis say, Ellie. You're both.
Starting point is 00:28:08 I've never known that you, Ozzy, say it actually differently based on whether it's an A or an E, whereas I just say Ellie and Ellie. I can never tell when Kiwis are saying Ali or Ellie. I always just say Ellie and Ellie as well. Sounds the same. Okay, producer Claude, you are running this. I absolutely am. So the way it works, I'm going to start a song from the beginning. You just need to buzz in with your name, however you want to pronounce it.
Starting point is 00:28:32 And tell me the artist's name and the name of the song. And the first team to three correct answers will take home the win. Okay. Are we ready? We're ready. And Ellie and I go first. Yeah, Bree and Ellie. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Ellie. Ellie are going first. There's no real theme today. These are just kind of bingers. Okay. Here's your first song. Dance. Bree.
Starting point is 00:28:53 That's Kesha Blode. Amazing. One of my face. I'm literally the first dance. That's crazy. I mean, what a bagger. It's a niche one too, but I love that song. Okay, that is one point for Team Brie.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Lana and Allie, this one is for you. Ellie. Ali. Vichy, wait me up. Well done. Well done. Well done, Ellie. Are you congratulating yourself or we congratulating?
Starting point is 00:29:33 Allie. You'll never know. Team ALE. Are we one a piece? Claude. Yes, that is one a piece. So Bree and Ellie back to you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Bree. Is that Kai go high love? She's got it. All right. I mean, it's Whitney. True. I've got to be all over it. Whitney, Kesha.
Starting point is 00:29:55 I feel like this is rich. Are these all my favorite songs, Quartz? It's starting to feel that way. Honestly, I loaded this last week. Oh, yeah, true. That's true. Named my dog after it. Okay, two points for Team Bree.
Starting point is 00:30:06 One for Team Ellie. So Lana, you could take home the win here, but Ellie, you really need this one, okay? Come on, Lana. Here's your song. She's just a girl and she's on fire. Ellie, I think, buzzed in first. Just, yeah. Alicia Keys, Gil on fire.
Starting point is 00:30:25 Yes, Gil on fire. Yes, girls. Well done. Nice, Ellie. Well done. Guys, we've got a game on our hands. entire break. That means all of us are in.
Starting point is 00:30:35 I actually knew that one. You weren't hot on Allie's heels, Lana. We knew. We knew that you knew. Okay, so this means everyone is in. Okay, everyone can buzz in. I'll take whoever buzzes in first. For the win, here's your last song.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Ellie and Ellie. I couldn't even get my name out. Who Run the World Girls. Bye. Beyonce. Don't be so unsure. That's right. And that is a win.
Starting point is 00:31:09 A win for team Ellie and Allie. Good job, guys. Sorry, Lana. We were close. That's right. I couldn't even say my name too. It's a Friday. We need a bloody weekend.
Starting point is 00:31:23 Hey, congrats to Ali. We'll get that KFC out to you. Well done. Thanks, guys. As ZM's Brinklin podcast. Yesterday on the podcast, we actually discussed something that made you quite angry. Yes, I have found something out.
Starting point is 00:31:39 I cannot believe this happened without my consent. I cannot believe this happened without me. And I cannot believe I only found out that it happened when it happened, what, four, five years ago? Oh, we've set her off here. Oh, yes, we have. So here's the background, right? If you don't know, Ellie was one of our original producers on the Brea and Clint show back in the day. Back in the old days.
Starting point is 00:31:58 With our other original producer, producer, producer Ben. And one of the things we did when you guys were producers was we started a DJ duo called the Hot Mess Express. Yes, one of my most fond memories of the show, honestly. It was fantastic. We played to 4,000 people at a huge festival called Float, and we actually ended up making an original song to play in our set with the one and only Kings. Amazing. Went on Spotify and everything.
Starting point is 00:32:26 It went to number one on iTunes at the time. That's right. The song was called Send It. I'll play it under. Yeah. This is the start. It goes a bit. It goes a bit.
Starting point is 00:32:33 So we'll just keep talking over it. It was a banger. It was a banger. I actually genuinely love the song. And I used to replay it like all the time on my own. And we made it together as the four of us and Kings, obviously, who did most of the work. He did. I informed you yesterday that producer Ben, it was actually through him and through his accounts that he put this song on Spotify.
Starting point is 00:32:54 And the song actually got that many streams where he actually made a bit of money from it. And first of all, I didn't actually really really. he was even collecting royalties. So that's number one. I didn't even realize he was collecting royalties. I didn't even know the song made money. Yeah. So it made enough money that when producer Ben left the show,
Starting point is 00:33:12 he shouted us all a fancy dinner and paid for it from the royalties of this song, which you weren't invited to. I've just found out that that happened when there was a new producer there who did nothing on that. And you all had a lovely dinner out together and I just wasn't there. I think you should call producer Ben and confront him about it now. I'd love to actually. I cannot believe
Starting point is 00:33:32 that I did not get the invite. Invite? Invite to this bloody dinner when I work just as hard as he did, I swear. Okay, we're going to ring Ben. Let's put in the call to producer Ben now. Okay. He's going to be like, what the hell?
Starting point is 00:33:51 He doesn't answer. Oh. Z.M. Hello. Hello, producer Ben. X producer Ben. My ex-Lie. It's producer Ellie here. How can I help? You've got one minute. Oh, really? You're really going to count me down, are you? Nah, okay, first of all,
Starting point is 00:34:06 Hi, Ben. What's going on, guys? How are we? Yeah, well, I'm great, Ben. I'm living my best life. Look, producer Ellie's found out something that she wants to talk to you about. I've just how to form, Ben. So, as you know, I left the show a couple of years before you did.
Starting point is 00:34:20 And do you remember those fond memories of us producing a song together with Kings and Brian Clint, and we did float together, and it was just this wonderful family, you know, promo we did. We all bonded, and it was this beautiful time. Do you remember that? Yeah, I remember that.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I thought it was a great time. You've got a tone that you don't want to remember it, or am I missing something? Look, I have very fond memories of this. But I've just been informed that this whole time, you've been getting royalties for that. Is that correct, Ben? I will have to refer you to my accountant.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Oh, really? Queries about said promotion. Okay, all right. Well, before you got to the accountant, I got to the accountant, I'd also like to just double check. Did you take the Brian Clint show with new producer Anastasia to a dinner and pay for everyone's dinner without me? Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Not even denying it. Yeah, that's it. Way to send it, brother. You owe me a steak, bro. Currently in the account we have $3.45. I will shout you whatever you want. That is the cheapest steak you're going to get. I'm going to get like the rind, like a small piece of fat of the steak.
Starting point is 00:35:36 That's a blade steak at best from a supermarket. It's just reminded me what a throwback actually that dinner was. I mean, that year was great. But that dinner was a real highlight of my time at ZM now that I've, so ZZM, I appreciate you bringing that up. Really? There was your favourite times, was it? Without me eating steak.
Starting point is 00:35:52 I had a good time. Yeah, did you? Yeah, I'm sure you all did. We've all still got the group chatted at a fun time. That is. That sounds amazing. I wish I was part of it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:36:02 I guess that you're dead to me. And I guess we were never really that allied in the end at all. Ooh, she is. Hey, Ben, good on you for being accountable, can I say. Yeah, look, you didn't deny it. Yeah. Who came straight in with the real chat. It's hard because I've promised you that $3,
Starting point is 00:36:16 but I don't know how to access my B&Z anymore. So it looks like you get nothing. Okay, cool. So we're back to where we started. And now I'm even more fuming because you're so happily gracious about the fact that you didn't invite me to your dinner. All right, Ben. You must have been out.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Yeah, he must have been over. Okay, okay, okay. All right. All right. Talk to you never. I guess I love you, but nah. See ya. See you guys.
Starting point is 00:36:38 See you, man. I think that went well. I think that went really well at you. Do you reckon I really told him? Yeah, I think you stuck it to the man. Yeah, I really told him the knife. Hey, mate, I'd hold me to that three bucks. I actually will.
Starting point is 00:36:51 That's a cost of living? I'm claiming every last end. Play Zadems, Bree and Clint. Ellie Harwood. been filling in for the week. And it's time to put it to the test with Friday Oakey. Ladies and gentlemen, Bre and Clint's Friday Oakey.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Here we go. Yep. Our singing challenge where we go head to head, normally it makes sense because both Clint and I notoriously bad singers. You're not bad. Look, definitely wouldn't be putting it on my CV.
Starting point is 00:37:30 You, however, you're just one of those naturally gifted people. I mean, I know how to pitch, all right. You have perfect pitch, don't like. Stop trying to downplay it. It's not bad, you know. It's in my blood, you know. I was just born with this voice, and I've done, not really done any training. It just sort of came to me, you know.
Starting point is 00:37:51 I listen to it. Hey, I'm so excited to hear yours, someone who can actually sing in this segment, which will be a nice change of pace. This week we've decided to sing a classic from Madonna hung up after she took out best artists at the VMAs this week. She sure did. And like I said earlier in the week, I didn't even know she'd release music.
Starting point is 00:38:18 But good on her, you know? You're never too old. No, that's not the right thing to say, is it? That was quite patronising from you. Oops, see. Look, here's how it's going to work. I'm definitely going to go first because I don't want to follow yours. that would be an absolute mistake.
Starting point is 00:38:35 So I'm going to go first. So we both have spent 15 minutes with an audio engineer who has done his best with mine. Didn't have to try very much with yours. And then you'll get to hear both and then we'll vote on 0800 dial ZM. I will go first. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:52 Because that's a good decision for me. Good luck, Marie. So here's my Friday Oki for the week. Madonna hung up. Let's go. And the words of Brie Thomasel, that was pretty good. Hey, I'm actually pretty happy with that. Yeah, that was really good.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Because a lot of weeks, I'd be very embarrassed to sit across from you, but I feel like I did okay. You did. You actually did it really well. It was great. It would have went all right at a Friday at a karaoke night and an RSA. It definitely would have. You know? It would have. Well done.
Starting point is 00:40:34 I'm so excited to hear yours. This is going to be good. I feel like it's appropriate. Are we ready? Ellie Harwood. Here's your Friday Oakey. Madonna hung up. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Madonna, is that you? Shit, you killed it. You bloody killed it. You were still great, honestly, though. You were. Don't patronise me. I know how good yours is and how mediocre mine is. Did you hear my harmonies?
Starting point is 00:42:13 Mate. I was like, God, why does it sound so much like the original? Oh, harmonies. Yeah, Sam. the audio producer didn't even ask me to do a harmony. He goes, I think we just let this one go through to the keeper, right? No, good work, good work. Hey, a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:42:30 So nice to have someone who can sing on this segment. Honestly, what a treat for everyone. That was fun. That was very fun, actually. We would love you to text through your feedback on 9-696, and also you need to vote. Yes. I'm going to be shocked at who's going to take it out this week. No, you never know if people might support you.
Starting point is 00:42:50 You know? Who had it? Let's all be real. Let's all just be honest with ourselves. 0,800 dial ZM. We'd love you to have your say on Friday, Oakey. Who's got it? Me or Ellie? Sorry, I think it's pronounced Madonna. ZD.M.'s Bree and Clint Podcast. Ladies and gentlemen, Bre and Clint's Friday. I just want to read out this text. It might be one of the most brutal texts of ever.
Starting point is 00:43:21 got in Friday Oki. Oh no. It says, Brie, an amazing effort. You surprised me how good you were considering your talking voice. Holy hell. Oh, that just ripped me to shrimps. I love it. I love it.
Starting point is 00:43:37 The more brutal, the better. If you missed it, my Friday Oakey sounded like this. You only get a little bit. Only a little bit there. And Ellie sounded like this. It's so, like, God. Holy smokes. Okay, let's go to the phones.
Starting point is 00:44:09 I wonder what's going to happen. Okay, let's see. Let's talk to Kate first. Hi, Kate. Hey, how's it going? Good, Kate. What did you think of our Madonna's this week? I'm so sorry, Bree, but that auto tune was really helping you out.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I'm talking about that was no auto tune, Kate. Hey, thanks, Kate. I appreciate your vote. You're welcome. I would have voted the same way, Kate. Thanks for your call. Let's talk to Emily. Hi, Emily.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Hi. How old are you, Emily? I'm 27. Sorry, Emily. Cute voice. You sound not a day over 21. I'm a principal teacher, so I often sound younger than I am. Oh, I love that.
Starting point is 00:45:01 You're going to love that as you get into your 30s, trust me. Yep. Emily, thoughts and feelings. I would really like to give you a pity vote free. I always say that that is literally, I listen to Friday O-Kee, almost every single Friday. Yes. And that has got to be at least in your top three. You reckon?
Starting point is 00:45:23 I agree. That would be really good. It was. God, I wish Clint was here because I probably would have won. Yeah. So you're going to give me your vote. I appreciate you, mate. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Oh, nice Emily. Look at Ellie getting excited for me because I got a pity vote. Yeah, you've got a vote, darling. Well done. All right, let's talk to Arlene. Hi, Arlene. Hi. What did you think about Madonna's this week, Arlene?
Starting point is 00:45:52 Yeah, one definitely wasn't a Madonna, I have to say. You need to hang the mic up. You've been terminally replaced. You know what? I bloody agree with you, Arlene. I knew it was covered. How good's Ellie, though? How bloody good is she?
Starting point is 00:46:09 She was awesome. That was a great job, Ellie. Well done. Oh, thank you, Arlene. I appreciate your vote. Are you voting for Ellie or? I'm absolutely voting for Ellie. Thanks, Arlene.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Thanks, Arlene. We appreciate your call. One more to seal it. Let's talk to Wayne. Hi, Wayne. Hello, how are you doing? Good. Oh, Wayne.
Starting point is 00:46:29 You know, I've been better. Yeah, I can tell. Yeah. Bree, I'm supposed to be the deciding vote, but there's no deciding vote about it. Ellie was going the whole way. Yeah. Can she come back in? Friday as well.
Starting point is 00:46:43 Mate, she can do my Fridayokies from now on and she can take on Clint. Yeah. Yeah. We could secretly replace. Yeah. Secretly. Secretly.
Starting point is 00:46:53 We'll win every week. Hey, thanks, Wayne. That means you get the replay, Ellie. You've taken it out. The privilege of the replay. Oh, this is the full one. You want the whole leg? No, I'm just going to go.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Hang on. This one. Honestly, it's so nice to celebrate your friends and their talents and you truly, like one of my favorite things is I always ask you to sing, like when you're at my house, I'm always like, Ellie, sing me wicked or Ellie, sing me there. So it was so nice to hear you get in the booth this week.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Thank you. It was very fun. Thank you for having me. And, Bree, I do want to end on the fact that you did do really well. I do need to let you know that that was amazing. Stop trying to make me feel better about how shit I am. Okay. Just take the compliment. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:42 And run with it. Yeah, I wrong. Okay. Hey. That's time for a birthday banger. All I want for my birthday banger. All right, here we go, Ellie. Number one songs when people turn 16.
Starting point is 00:47:55 That's what we're doing here. Yes, this is one of my favorite segments for the Brancel show. I've always loved it. Did you, do you remember your birthday banger? I think it was, oh. I forgot. Nah, forgot. I thought I had it and I forgot already.
Starting point is 00:48:08 You forgot what you did yesterday. I said it, exactly. Well, let's figure out Brittany's first. Hi, Brittany. Hi, how are you? Good, mate. What's on for the weekend, Brittany? Not much plan apart from work, so.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Oh, bug of that. Oh, man. What do you do for work? It's a top secret. Oh, fun. Oh, God, I want to know so badly now what you do. But we won't ask, what is your birthday? The 11th of April, 1997.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Right, that means you were 16, Brittany, in 2013. And on that day, this was number one. She's a fun night to the sun. I'm up on night to get some. She's up on night for good fun. Dark punk. Ferrell. Get lucky.
Starting point is 00:48:54 That was huge. It was huge. It was. Are you a debt collector, Brittany? I am not. My mind's going to be racing. It's not a bad one. We'll see what else we get.
Starting point is 00:49:06 Let's talk to who next. All right. Let's talk to Lisa. Hello Lisa. Hi Lisa. Happy Friday, team. Happy Friday to you too, mate. What are you doing for the weekend?
Starting point is 00:49:16 No plans. Just a cruiser one. Lovely. Sounds bloody good. Do you have a top secret job? No. Okay. All right, mate.
Starting point is 00:49:25 What is your birthday? 25 March, 1983. All right. You were 16, Lisa, in 1999. And here is your birthday bag. Huge. Yep, me, baby, one more time. Brittany Spears, her first mega hit.
Starting point is 00:49:48 What do you think, Lisa? Good old Brittany. Good old Brittany, you can't go wrong. You can go bloody wrong. All right, well, that's a good one. That's a good one. Do one more for Diana. Hi, Diana.
Starting point is 00:50:01 Hello. How's your day been, Diana? It's been good, thank you. What are you doing for the weekend? Nothing much, actually. Just hanging with the kids and having a bit of a bit of a bit of a day. barbecue. Oh nice. Yes, it's that time a year now. It is. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:16 How bloody good. Hey, what is your birthday? 29th of the 11th, 89. All right, that means you were 16 in 2005. And in 2005, this had a number one hit. Oh, what the hell? What are the chances? What are the odds? That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:50:36 We just did this for Friday Oki, Diana. Yeah, we heard it. I think it's a sign. It kind of is a sign, I think. A little bit. Yeah, like, we need to hear the real Madonna now, don't we after that? I feel like we should just play your skin. I kind of think you guys that are better, especially.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Oh, nice, Marie. Thanks, Diana. I'll take it, but. You're welcome. All right. Let's have a vote here. Let's discuss. So we've got Daph Pung, get lucky.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Yep. Britney Spears baby one more time and hung up Madonna. I'm torn. I don't, for me personally, I'd rather. go with either Brittany or Madonna. Same. So we'll drop, get lucky. Because it's just not,
Starting point is 00:51:16 yeah. Sorry for the vibe. Yeah. Not Britney Spears. Sorry to the caller. The real Britney. Yeah. Oh, it's hard.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Like I'm trying to vibe. Do people want to hear Madonna for a third time? You know what I mean? True. True. But then it's kind of funny that it came up again. Britney's like a classic. Look, if we hadn't just done Friday Oki,
Starting point is 00:51:35 I think I would organically pick Brittany. Yeah. Personally. Then let's go with Britney. But what do you want to do? It's your last show. Oh no, I don't know. But now, you'll be back.
Starting point is 00:51:43 Oh, but now that I've picked Brittany, I kind of want hung up. Do you know what I mean? You always want what you can't have. Hey, Jesus. Is this what your bloody fiancé has to deal with every night when you're picking dinner? Yeah, I'm really indecisive. Can you please choose? We're going to go with Brittany baby one more time.
Starting point is 00:51:57 All right, that means Lisa. Hello, Lisa. You have one birthday banger. Lisa, are you there? Lisa, it's your birthday banger. That's my fault. Hello, Lisa. You've won.
Starting point is 00:52:11 She forgot to turn your bloody on, Lisa. Sorry, Lisa. We're going to play it for you right now, Lisa. Have a fantastic weekend. Nice, you too. Thank you. See ya. Britney Spears, this is your birthday banger for a Friday.
Starting point is 00:52:24 One more time on ZM with Brian Clint. Zeehan's Brian Clint. Hit me, baby, one more time. Britney Spears, your birthday for a Friday on ZM. No regrets. No regrets. That was a great one.
Starting point is 00:52:44 It's a great Britney song. Here's a question for you. Yeah. What is your all-time favorite Britney song ever? I think I would have to go with Toxic. That's probably my favorite. Okay. I think it's the one that was with me the longest and I listened to the most.
Starting point is 00:52:59 They say it's one of the greatest pop songs ever. Right, because what, like the formula of it and everything? Yeah, I do love that song. But no, yeah, I think that would be mine. What about you? I mean, there's so many. I do love a bit of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, More. Oh, yeah, that one makes you feel a bit.
Starting point is 00:53:15 you know, like you want to get on the dance floor and just... Yeah. Yeah, I love... But I mean, there's so many, all the different eras. I'll take whatever, Brittany. I will too. We did this for Friday Oakey one week. Oh yeah, did you win?
Starting point is 00:53:33 Disaster. I honestly think it was... I talked about it in therapy after listening to cleanse. Like, it gave me nightmares. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, not. Just a lot of heavy breathing.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Oh. Yeah, icon. Absolute icon. There's another one here too. This woman just doesn't stop. Yeah, and it is this one as well. Oh, the Sabanger! How did I miss this?
Starting point is 00:54:13 Yeah, same. This is a great one. Oh, there's just so many. I love all of them. I mean, yeah, we'll take Brittany however way you want to dice it. Yeah, exactly, mate. Dead Am's Bree and Clint podcast. Ellie, you've been feeling.
Starting point is 00:54:26 in and I know this is up your alley because anything to do with the human brain or when it comes to human behavior you're into it. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. Give it to me. And I'm into it too, especially when it comes to getting different
Starting point is 00:54:42 tips and tricks for winning rock paper scissors. Oh yeah, because honestly, rock paper scissors has a lot of ground in your life. You end up choosing a lot of things with that. Right, it's high stakes. How do you think the woman on the Real Life Squid game won all that money. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Rock paper, bloody scissors. That's the thing. Yep. Yep. High stakes, high stakes games. So have you got some tricks for us? Yes. I saw this woman who she, on her TikTok, essentially uses and talks about behavioral science
Starting point is 00:55:11 to upgrade your life and how it can make it better. And she talks about this study where they analyze 300 players in a rock paper scissors tournament. And they found that there was three consistent patterns when it came to people playing rock paper scissors. Okay. So, uh, the first one, uh, was the winners repeat. Okay. Patent one. Winners repeat. If someone wins around, they are significantly more likely to play the same hand again. The winning move feels lucky and the brain wants to repeat it. I believe that. Yeah. So like, let's say you and I play rock paper scissors. Right paper scissors. Oh, we're doing, oh, we're out of sync there. Oh, isn't it rock paper scissors shoot?
Starting point is 00:55:53 Oh, okay. Maybe that's a gnauzzi thing. Oh no. Anyway, okay. Rock paper scissors. Paper, scissors, shoot. Oh, rock, paper, scissors, shoot. Three wins. And would you be more likely now to play me again and do the same one? Yes. So that's what she's saying. It's just natural human behavior.
Starting point is 00:56:11 You're like, I won the last time. I think I've done that myself. Right on, oh, try that one again. Naturally, I think it's the human brain just goes, try it again. You won the last time. Yeah. Okay, the next one is the losers shift in sequence. Oh.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Pattern two. Losers shift in sequence. If someone loses, they almost never play the same hand again. But they shift to the next in the sequence. Lost with rock, they'll play paper. Lost with paper, they'll play with scissors. I've never thought about that. So they move to the next one.
Starting point is 00:56:41 Yeah. So let's say I start with rock, I lose, then I just go to paper. Yeah. And then scissors. Oh, wow. But what if people call it something else? Like, not everyone calls it rock paper scissors around the world. So when I was younger, for me it was paper scissors.
Starting point is 00:56:55 is rock. See, in Australia in Queensland it was scissors paper rock. Was it? I've never heard that. And people always have that reaction. They're like nut, you're the only one that's calling it that. Which is fascinating. So, yeah, if someone loses, they're likely to shift to the next in the sequence.
Starting point is 00:57:12 And the last one is that, and I believe this is the one that people have heard before, is rock is the most common. Part in three. Rock is the most common opening move. especially for men. It's associated with strength and dominance.
Starting point is 00:57:30 And the brain reaches for it instinctively. That's interesting. You know what I've noticed, because there's sometimes where Clint and I will have to play rock paper scissors on this show. And especially when we're playing the password to see who goes first.
Starting point is 00:57:43 And I always beat him because he always starts with rock. Really? You've just revealed your secrets. I hope he's not listening. You're same. Yeah. Anyway, so they're the three.
Starting point is 00:57:53 So the winners repeat. if someone wins with one, they're more likely to play it again in the next round. Yeah. The losers, if you lose, they're likely to shift to the next one in the sequence. And the most common opening move in rock paper scissors is rock. Yeah, I believe that.
Starting point is 00:58:08 I think I've done that many times. The rock first. And then I don't know what I do next. Kind of just mix it up. Maybe I'm a bit of an anomaly. I like to mix it up and confuse everyone. What about you, Brie? That's how I would describe you.
Starting point is 00:58:19 The ZDM Podcast Network. Time for the password. This is the password where we give you the one word clues and you tell us what are the passwords. And Ellie today, 50 bucks is up for grabs. Who will you be playing alongside? Today I'm going to be playing alongside Noah. Hello, Noah. Hi, Noah.
Starting point is 00:58:40 Hello, how's it going? Good, thank you. What are you up to? Yeah, not much. Just chilling out. Just chilling. Nice. Yeah, on a Friday.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Love it. How bloody good, Noah. You'll be taking on me in LJ today. Hi, LJ. Hiyota, how are you? Good, thank you. What does LJ stand for? It's my initials for my first and last man.

Starting point is 00:59:13 We're going to give you the one word clues. You tell us what your password is. Noah, you and Ellie are guessing a password, but LJ, you and I are guessing a different one, okay? Yeah, sweet. All right. Perfect. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Who wants to go first, Brad? Do you want to go first? I can go first. Okay. LJ, your one word clue is shape. Triangle. Bugger. Oh, good guess, though.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Okay. Noah. One, Ellie. Your first word is Oh, wow. Um, Music. Instrument.
Starting point is 01:00:07 I can see why you guess that. Okay, all right. So, okay, has it your turn now, right? Yes, it's my turn. I'm trying to think of something. Okay. LJ. Your one word clue is
Starting point is 01:00:23 cube. Shape and cube. No, no, no. No, no, not pub. Cube Yeah, me too LJ's like LJ's like landing strip
Starting point is 01:00:50 I was kind of I was going somewhere Okay and cube Cube Then I just want to say like Square Nice work my friend But that means
Starting point is 01:01:08 Ellie you have one more chance Okay Noah I've got one more word I can give you Um Oh there's just So many meanings Okay, um. Music and earth.
Starting point is 01:01:32 No, like an earth. Festival. That's a good guess and I'm sorry, Noah. That was really tough because our word was a double, like it was like a double meaning. It could mean so many different things. Do I reveal it to, yeah, I didn't know which way to go. Do I reveal it to Noah now? Yeah, so our word, sorry Noah was rock.
Starting point is 01:02:03 So I went rock music and then I was like earth because it's like rock, earth. but then I probably just confused you, to be honest. I'm so sorry. Sorry, Ro. Thanks for playing, Noah. But, LJ, you've taken it out this afternoon. 50 bucks coming your way for the weekend. Thanks for playing.
Starting point is 01:02:19 Thank you so much. No worries. That is the password. Done and dusted for the week. I think that was my worst one. That was tough. You know what I would have said? What would you have said?
Starting point is 01:02:27 Yours? I would have said. Boulder. Oh, I didn't even think of that. I was trying to think of like a rock. And I was like, how do I explain a rock without saying the It's not weird. Like your brain just sometimes goes...
Starting point is 01:02:39 It's just blanked. Yeah, but Boulder would have been really good actually. And it's a nice boulder. That is a nice boulder. It's ZDM's Bre and Clint Podcast. Ellie Harwood filling in for the week and that's it. That's it. Oh, I'm sad.
