Starting point is 00:00:00 from the ZM podcast network. This is... Fleshwon and Haley's Big Pod. Thanks to animates, making happy happen for pets. Fletch Fawn and Haley, two minutes past six. ZM tosses returns
Starting point is 00:00:12 8 o'clock this morning. Oh, we got close yesterday, didn't we? Bit of peer pressure. And then... Nothing. She lost it all. Well, we have given away a lot of cash.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Your chance this morning at 8 o'clock. Listen up for the activator. Call through and plates. It's a simple. Point toss, heads or tails. You start with $100. You can just take it if you want. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:34 No skin off our nose. We will bully you slightly. I mean, we'll peer pressure you to try and... Just more fun when you flip it. At least one toss. Come on. Yeah, one. Go for two. Come on.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Come on. The top six spawn coming up. Yeah, Dunedinan's getting a leg of a surf tour, which is great news for Danan. You're going to hang out of a whole lot of visitors. It's got good injection of money into the local economy. Fantastic. But I've got the top six signs you're surfing in Dunedin. Also, we've got an announcement.
Starting point is 00:01:00 outsmouth. 8 o'clock this morning. Yes, we do. Yes, we do. That's, yeah, that's going to excite some people. For New Year's Eve. Oh, if you don't have plans, don't make any until 8 o'clock, maybe. Also, Haley and news coming up, I know you guys love that. Oh, Christ, what is it this time? Is there a flashing light in the sky?
Starting point is 00:01:20 More than a flashing bloody light. Next on the show. A woman is decided, she's getting 100% behind the Panuts Lab, it's a hill she will 100% die on. Or somebody else will die, as a result of her not being willing to give up her pan-nuts lab. The Z-M podcast network. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:01:39 ZM's Fletch, Vaughn and Haley. Now we're going to discuss peanut slabs on a plane. Get those eming, effing, not peanut slabs of this Emma effing. Actually never seen that movie. Snakes on a plane.
Starting point is 00:01:55 I've never seen it. Not once. Haven't you? I've seen it. Is it silly? It's ridiculous. You don't need to see it. Do you know what I had last night
Starting point is 00:02:02 I had a lovely healthy dinner Along the Asian route again I went The Silk Road Yeah yeah beautiful And then I was like Oh I love a little sweet ear Reached into my handbag Found one of the mini almond golds
Starting point is 00:02:15 Oh yeah yeah Just mini perfect Well almonds don't quite have the The high allergy rating that peanuts do No they don't Peanuts are always the nut That everybody points at Although some people will just have a general tree nut
Starting point is 00:02:29 Oh no, a peanuts a legume, but also a tree nut allergy. Well, this woman is on a plane. This is a video that's been doing the rounds to the point where, like, it's hit the talk show circuit. Oh. Not the Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, late-night talk show. The Australian-American talk show angry people situation. Right. And so there's a New Zealand-born Australian, because she lives in, from my investigations, I can see she lives in Perth, Australian.
Starting point is 00:02:57 And she's on her way. And, of course, she's. She's on her way to... Barley. Barley. It's so close from Perth. Straight up and now. While the FIFO minors go over...
Starting point is 00:03:06 Like, they don't even have a place to live in Perth. They just go straight to Bali on their weeks off. Why would you? Feefian. She's on a plane and she's eating a peanut slab. Apparently while boarding it eating the Panuts Lab, a woman made a passive aggressive comment of lucky I don't have anaphylactic reaction to Nats. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:03:24 But she didn't. The woman didn't. But she was just sort of... That was the Passag way. letting her know that there might be. The creator has uploaded this video but since edited the caption. What did the caption? What did it
Starting point is 00:03:37 used to say? I don't know what it used to say. The birthright joke people love when you say birthright. The birthright joke was in reference to being a New Zealander and eating my favorite New Zealand made chocolate, not some sort of commentary on human rights. The point of the video was that a lady who didn't have allergies
Starting point is 00:03:53 were so passive, aggressive and her comments to me before we even got on the plane. Nor was I aware of anyone else on the flight or around me having a severe peanut allergy, that's the thing you kind of don't until they do, right? But how close does someone need to be if you're eating a peanut slats? I knew someone that, yeah, couldn't be on a plane with peanuts.
Starting point is 00:04:10 They had to say, like airborne. Yeah, right. I think it varies. So that's what she goes on to say. I have learnt a lot more about airborne protein versus direct contact, absolutely. So she obviously put this video up thinking it was a good bit of LOL commentary
Starting point is 00:04:26 and absolutely raised the ire of the allergy community. It's a very, very serious allergy, peanut allergy. Did you just go to play the club and you had a... My lead-in was everything. My lead-in was perfect. Everything was so good
Starting point is 00:04:39 and then I hadn't plugged the headphones up. The ox cord. Here we go. I can sit it up again. It's my birthright. I'm just eating my peanut slab and peace and quiet and the lady behind me in the tunnel says
Starting point is 00:04:50 thank God I'm not anaphylact it. Thank God I'm not enaphylap. I can't even be out in the wild eating a peanut plant. Out in the wild. If I can. Yes, I will. I'm a Kiwi.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Oh, God. It's my birthday. It's my birthday. It's my birthright. So you can see how that. Yeah. I mean... Went down.
Starting point is 00:05:12 The woman didn't have a peanut allergy. So I get why she's like, well, piss off. I'm allowed to pay a slap. Do they sell these in airports? Of course they do. Well, I mean, this is why I go almond gold. I'm an almond gold. Because he's a man of the people.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I'm a hero. Yeah, thank you. I'm a berry biscuit at, you know. Yeah. coconut. Coconut slats. Oh, yum. Coconut slats.
Starting point is 00:05:35 I'd actually think I've got to go to Mitre 10 today. There's some just over here. Get a three pack. Yeah, there's some on top of our lockers. But I think there's only two of the three left. Kind of feels like you bought them
Starting point is 00:05:47 so that one of those is yours. Yeah. Kind of feels like I voiced first. That you're sort of happening for one. It sort of feels like fletched, you know. You're going to miss out. I'll miss out. You're shredding.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Yeah, I'll be fine. I don't need that. You're on the test tides, aren't you? You on the peptides? No, I'm not on the peptides? If I had the peptides, would I not want that peanut slab? I think you'd still want it, but it wouldn't be that constant. You don't hear it voice in your head being like, come on, go on, go on, go on, you're being
Starting point is 00:06:12 good. I think it's leg-dly. Come on. Have a little peppy, pepipy, pepies. What about a peptide slab? Could we inject the peanut slab with the peptides? Kind of defeats the purpose, though, doesn't I? You just have a peanut slab for God's sake.
Starting point is 00:06:29 The Z&M Podcast Network. Play ZM's Fletch, Vaughan and Haley My gym brass present Brough Brough Bletch you braying today Going to the gym Yep, gym after work
Starting point is 00:06:43 Brough Yeah Vaugh You're going to hit the gym today Brough You're going to do Tom Holland Brough Might go for a run today
Starting point is 00:06:48 I think Brough Well this will affect you too Then if you're running Or lifting weights or anything Just double checking Both got a penis don't you Correct yes
Starting point is 00:06:56 Just to confirm I don't just give that a Yes Yep Good touch it As of 621 am Fletch can feel his just resting. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:07:04 Yeah, he doesn't need to put a hand down there. He feels the weight on his leg. Right, I just need to touch it. Make sure it's still there. The reason I ask Jim Bruss with members is doctors in the UK have noticed an increase of young men arriving at their practices, the GPs, complaining of something that happens to them after they work out,
Starting point is 00:07:25 which is basically the turtles put in its head back in and retracting after they go to the gym. gym pain they're calling it and this article wants me to confirm that gym pain is not an official medical term. But wait they're going to the doctor. Yeah and some of them have been
Starting point is 00:07:43 having difficulty after trying to force it back to normal. So doctors just want you to know that gym pain is real even though it's not a medical term gym pain is because it's when you go to the gym and you're willy afterwards you notice it's significantly smaller. Have you noticed this before?
Starting point is 00:08:00 Yeah, yeah, yeah. about this? Yeah, EDS. EDS. What's EDS? EDS. I've known about EDS for decades. What's EDS?
Starting point is 00:08:08 Eretel, shrinkage. Exercise Dick syndrome. Exercise Ditz. Okay, yeah. That's what, yeah, we coined the phrase. It just pulled, yeah, because the blood's doing all the other stuff. Yeah, the blood's doing all the other stuff.
Starting point is 00:08:19 But they've had so many young men coming and being like, my dick keep shrinking after a workout. Like, is this going to be permanent? Is it going to be one day? It's not going to come back out. And that's embarrassing. But surely they... It is literally just.
Starting point is 00:08:30 your blood flow getting prioritised elsewhere during exercise. So if you're going for a run today, your blood's flowing around the body, pumping around because your heart's going for it. You know, you're working out on your legs or something like that. The blood's going elsewhere and it's moving away from the pain. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:47 And causes, you know, visual shrinkage. And doctors say, please stop trying to force it back out. So how are they forcing it out? Well, that it's had a bit of shrinkage and they're pulling on it. pulling it out. Oh, okay. Yeah, right. Let's get picked to the regular.
Starting point is 00:09:03 How much is it going in? Well, some people have said that they get that, um, any. I had a boyfriend once, and sometimes it would redact it. Yeah. Fully redacted. It's a fully redacted statement. What, like it would almost be flat on the mound? The balls mostly.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Oh, yeah. A thing where they would. They get away. Retract. You don't want them at full stretch while you're exercising. The balls hang out. I'm happy to have those. Especially up you're running.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Or remember that time we did a cycle class together, Fletch, and we went from up to down to up to down and then gripped a nut on the sage. Yeah, that can happen. Well, listen, if you're working out, if you're working out, no need to see a doctor unless it's something like swelling or numbness or discoloration. Don't yank at it just like once you pull down.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Discoloration, I just sort of an issue or warning on a hole there. It is a different tone to the rest of the body. Of course it is. Somehow it's tan. Never sees the sun. Yeah, what I talk about in my show, you know, that some of them are very red. Yes. Red.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Yeah, you know, when you see a red penis and you're like... An angry little red penis. Not angry, just like that's their resting level. Right. And they're all different colours. They're all wonderful. But don't pull it enough to you. Just cool down and you'll be fine.
Starting point is 00:10:18 The ZM Podcast Network. Play ZM's Fleshhorn and Haley. From the unmoderated comment section, this is the top six. Hey, guys. I always remember when someone told me that Dunedin had an amazing surf beach, and it's just like, that's so cold. Where is it? Out by the...
Starting point is 00:10:38 It's in Kilda. Yes, St Kilda. It's actually a really lovely beach. I'll never be. I've been out by towards the Albatrosses. Is it that way? Yeah, so you know when you go over there and you go up, it's just kind of there. So this is Dunedan Harbour that comes down like that,
Starting point is 00:10:52 and the Albatrosses are up here, and it's down here. It's real close to the city. God, I was in Nelson on Saturday, and then I saw Nelson on a map. yesterday and I was like, I had no idea I was there. I thought it was down more. On what side? Yeah. Did you get confused with Blenham?
Starting point is 00:11:08 I was sort of thinking I was under Blenham. You were under? I'm not so confused. Oh, God. So close to pick. Get a map. I know. I did. I got a map and I learned. But you're Danedan. I didn't know it was so beachy. The World Surf League Danadon
Starting point is 00:11:23 Pro is expected to bring 2.5,000 visitors and $4.16 million to the local economy. And I'm probably some hot Brazilians too. No, I'm saying, St. Clair. Oh, is it? Okay. St. Kilda's Australia, Melbourne.
Starting point is 00:11:35 But there's a St Kilda in Danedan? Is there? Is there? Is it? Oh, yeah. See, get a map. Get a map. No, there's Sincolter in.
Starting point is 00:11:45 There is. It's St. Kilda's right by St. Clair Beach. Yeah, it's in... Yeah, it is. It's literally the same bit. I get a map. Stilter's a suburb.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Sinclair Beach. No, there's Sincelter and St clairbech. They're right beside each other. Can we just clarify? Get a map. Get a map. Get a map. Get a map. But apparently it's St. Clair that will host a world surf comp. Right.
Starting point is 00:12:07 St. Clair. This will be great for the local e-com. Oh, great for the econ. Get a horror for the econ. I've got top six signs you're surfing in a day. Number six on the list. The guy surfing beside you is surfing on a burning couch. Yeah, right. I don't even know how that works.
Starting point is 00:12:22 But he's making it work. How does his feet not get burned? Who knows? The burns to the side. Number five on the list of the top six signs you're surfing in Eden. Surfings delayed you to an iceberg being present with five penguins on it. Oh, oh, cute. Pretty cute.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Pretty cute. Number four on the list of the top six signs you're surfing in Dunedin. A cheese roll just floated past you. Oh my God, yum. Yeah, I got a cheese roll right now. I got one in Nelson. It's in the South Island. That's a little bit north for a cheese roll.
Starting point is 00:12:49 So I've learned. No, they still have them. They have them. I only cheese roll. I only cheese roll under Wellington. South of Christchurch. Oh, really? I'm sort of the same.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I'm a Christchurch down cheese. Roller. I won't in Christchurch. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, you're too... Timuru, maybe. You've got to get rid of... Really? Actually, I'll go on, Rickle and say, oh, I'm Rue down. What did Timuror do to you?
Starting point is 00:13:11 Nothing. Okay. Where's the damn place that I like? Cluther. Clither. Clide. Clide. Near Alex. Great cheese roll. I've had one there. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cromwell, all around there, your centrals.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Yeah. Okay. We should have to Clyde. It's lovely and Clyde. Love it. See the damn? I don't want to be there when. the dam breaks. There's a beautiful Airbnb though.
Starting point is 00:13:30 This is a renovated villa. This is the dam breaking. I just saw what this and you're hitting me in the back of the head with a rock. Yeah, and it's the stream? Yeah, beautiful. Number three on the list of the top six signs you're surfing in Dunedin. The judges, because you know how they always have surf judges, three judges. One's the Dunedin train station.
Starting point is 00:13:48 One's Josh Cronfeld and one's David Bain's paper run bike. The bikers. The iconic, iconic Dunedin judges. Wow. The train station, all black Josh Cronfowd and David Bain's paper run by. I love telling you that's the most photographed building in the southern hemisphere. It's simply not. I'm just pointing at the Sydney Opera House being like...
Starting point is 00:14:07 All the Sky Tower even. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just saying. It's beautiful building. Yes, Sydney Opera House, God, of course, in the southern hemisphere. But they always say it. Stop saying it. It's not right. No, that's not true. And it's simply just don't have the visitor numbers to stack.
Starting point is 00:14:20 They just don't. They just don't. They simply don't. I would believe it's the most photographed train station in the Southern hemisphere. But I can't speak to South America's train stations. You? See any real photographic ones?
Starting point is 00:14:34 Auckland used to have that big, beautiful building that's now a student accommodation, that sort of area. But Brutemart, while I take my hat off to the advancements in public transport in Auckland, it's not that photographic. Those news stations are those ones. That's a nice one. But there's like the nice Sydney ones and stuff. They're huge and beautiful.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Are you just doing some... Well, how will we know? No one uplong. They loads their photos to the internet. It's the famed most photographed train station in the southern hemisphere. How are they giving those stats, though? I could just say I'm the most photographed woman. Well, they do say local law calls it the second most photographer.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Yeah, right after the opera house. Boom. Again, I think the Skytale is getting more. I'm just saying. Yeah. Yeah, because you stand at the bottom of the Skytower and you take a photo up. Yeah. I literally say people are doing it every day when I go home.
Starting point is 00:15:23 It's one of my favorite buildings. I think it's majestic. Number two on the list of the top. signs you're surfing in Dunedin, your wetsuit is half wet suit, half puffer jacket. Yeah. You've got to keep that real warm in there. And number one
Starting point is 00:15:37 on the top six signs, you're surfing in Dunedin, the dude you're competing against who's entered as an amateur is ripping on a bong and surfing on a boorat g-string and in five years he's going to be your GP. Yes. He's like, I like a surf. Very nice.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Very nice wave. Takedin dudes. See you in five years when I'm prescribing you Antibiotics And antidepressants All the anti-things Ah, that is today's stop-sucks The ZM Podcast Network
Starting point is 00:16:08 ZM's Fletchhorn and Haley The turnfoil hats on I love a bit of alien news Have you guys watched The documentary disclosure? No No Age of Disclosure
Starting point is 00:16:28 You've got to watch it And you will be on team alien Oh, I don't doubt that there's aliens. I just don't think it's how we think it is. We'll explain this. Totally. Yesterday, a US Air Force C-17 Globmaster. Oh, you bitch, that's a big boy.
Starting point is 00:16:45 You know when you land across at the airport and you see the Antarctic, the US Air Force big, big... No. Huge plane. I've never seen it. They're massive. Wow. They're massive. Huge.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Almost looks like a plane could fit inside a plane. Yeah, well, that's so they put the stuff inside it, don't they? They drive trucks and stuff. The back opens and they can, yeah. Some pebble bone made raise a flag. Oh, wow. Yeah, so this is that plane, big US Air Force plane down in Christchurch. That one can land in Antarctica's got the skid.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Yeah. Skid marks. It's got skis. It's always parked up in Christchurch. It's amazing. It's huge. I guess I don't really sort of look around when I landed in an airport being like, oh, I hope I see planes. No, do not.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Because you turn your phone on straight away. Ding, ding, ding. and then you want to see what you've missed. Yum, who's been messaging. Whereas the trick is what Fletch does is he never turns it off. He doesn't. Just hold on the allegations throughout the flight. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Admit it, you piece of shit. So this plane, yes, US Air Force plane yesterday departed Christchurch Airport, bound for Antarctica, but had to turn back. Two and a half hours in. What's the flight time to Antarctica? Quite a while, eh? It's way longer than you think.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Because we feel like we're so close, but would be colder. Well, you'd be what, yeah, you would have gone past Invercargill because that'd be an hour in the plane. Hour, yeah, Christchurch, Invercargill, Stuart Island. Five hours in a jet aircraft like a C-17 Globe Master, seven to eight and a turbo properly, the C-130, Urquilis.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Right, so we're like just under halfway to Antarctica, put the air brakes on. I don't know if that's how it works, but then they just drop out the sky. Because they got a notam, notice to airmen, you know a N-O-T-A-M. Okay. Warning of
Starting point is 00:18:33 Space activity potentially hazardous to aviation en route to Antarctica. But that could mean anything. That could just be solar flares or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It would affect their navigation stuff. Now, initially suspected as strong winds.
Starting point is 00:18:51 But oh no, there was some unusual. Here we go. This was notified by the Russian air traffic. Traffic Management Corporation. Oh wow, the Russians. Russians involved. Nice to hear from the Russians. We don't want them knowing that we're down here.
Starting point is 00:19:06 No, no, we all know that we're all down there. No, I like it when we were off the map. They made the call to this flight heading to Antarctica from Christchurch about this unusual space activity, detecting sounds, movement and lights. Nothing else is confirmed yet, but they had to turn it around for safety reasons because they were unable to identify what this thing was. Still, the US Air Force are unable to be, unable to determine what it was.
Starting point is 00:19:38 They've been reached again for comment, but they're keeping hushed. Because they know what it is. Oh, what is it? We all know what it is. The aliens are here. What celebrity? There's a celebrity who we love and respect
Starting point is 00:19:49 who's had an alien encounter. Robin Williams. He's dead. Yeah, I know. Probably from aliens. He had an alien encounter. He was more. Mork and Mork and Manny.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Is she you're not getting confused? No, no, no, no. He genuinely had an alien encounter. Was it Robin Williams? I was talking about this the other day. With a fellow alien believer. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:13 And I said I was diving into this a little bit more and I kept searching alien activity and they say could be debris. Could be re-entry of debris from space. Oh, so not aliens. So just an old satellite. Is that what you're saying? Somebody, I've Googled it.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Robert Williams did not have a real-life encounter with extraterrestrials. The association would be that he played an extraterrestrial. No, no, no, no, that it wasn't Robert Williams. It was someone we know and respect. Stay tuned. Stay tuned. I'm not talking about when he played that stupid alien in the movie. Haley was acting.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Satellites and they think it might have been a degree, but they said, or a satellite, doing something unpredictable near the flight path. Okay, so not aliens. Not, not aliens. Yet no one's proven. Right. So, Cyrus, said she was chased by a glowing yellow. yellow UFO. Demi Lovato.
Starting point is 00:21:01 No. She believes Tom DeLong from Blackway 2. Sammy Hagar, Kate Casher. Post Maloney stated in interviews he had witnessed multiple unexplained flying cross since he was a teenager. Frangrescia? No. The nanny? The nanny. Famously claimed that she and her former husband
Starting point is 00:21:15 were independently abducted by aliens as children known they both carry identical scars on their hands. What? That's what? It might have been the Blink 182 guy. I'll come back to this. Anyway, look, we don't know what it is. Mystery Space Act. Alien
Starting point is 00:21:29 Mystery space activity Could be aliens The ZDN podcast network Flatfront and Haley Silly Little Pose Is so silly silly silly silly That the silly
Starting point is 00:21:44 Have you ever naped at work? I was reading an article Congratulations by the way Thank you I'm keeping up your reading Thank you Thank you It was based on the fact
Starting point is 00:22:06 That it started a little survey Because Donald Trump has apparently fallen asleep sleep on the job 26 times in his presidency. Yeah, because he's 80-something. Yeah, snoozed his way through Pope Francis's funeral, is Saudi Arabia visit, World Cup final, everything. That's why we shouldn't vote in 80-year-olds into,
Starting point is 00:22:25 isn't Winston Peter's going to be 81? Oh, yeah, Winston's old as F. No, no, Daddy. Come down, go and retire. All right, pops. But apparently a lot of people... It's the hate that keeps them going. Filled by hate.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Winston's already 81. He'll be 82 next. year. All right. Well, a lot of Americans are the back of this reporting that they have taken a nap at work, particularly people who work in the tech sector.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Oh, yeah. Apparently that's like an area when they just knock off. I think it would be the hum of all the computers and... Don't they do this in Japan? Like, they have like proper
Starting point is 00:22:57 lay down beds. Yeah, but that's because they don't go home. And they just do. We've got a toxic work culture. Yeah, they do. They just work, work, work, work. They do.
Starting point is 00:23:06 I mean, I haven't napped at work. Not at this work. Not at this work. But I've napped at other I've napped in theatres and stuff like backstage of gigs and sets and whatnot. Actually that's not sure. I nap that day. I was extremely hung over.
Starting point is 00:23:19 You did. Sort of a nap. Yeah. Semi-napp situation. With the hum of your friends Fletch and Haley doing the show despite also being hung over. Yeah, yeah. It's pretty good stuff. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Well, Celadol, have you ever napped at work? Yes, I often do. I have once or twice or no, never. 63% of people saying no, never. Yeah, good. 30% of people saying, I have once or twice. And 8% saying yes, I often do. Troubling that some of those truck drivers.
Starting point is 00:23:46 But would that have to pull over nap? They've got a pullover nap in a rest area. They have like mandatory naps, right? Yeah. Emma said, and my old job had a bed in a private room. It was encouraged to have a small nap if needed rather than keep working when overtired. See, I love that.
Starting point is 00:24:04 That's good, eh? There was that wellness room at TVNZ. It was for napping, prayer and breastfeeding. I believe. Okay. Not all at the same time, ideally. I could do all through. You reckon?
Starting point is 00:24:17 Be on the receiving end of a couple of them. That was weird. Taking prayers and a boob. We have to sleep. All right. Weird, bro. Someone's praying for me. Boy, dude, your inside thoughts came out.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Hey, stop it. Stop it. You yuck. They yuck. Abby said, I get a one-hour lunch break. What else am I supposed to do? That's the thing if you just eaten in five minutes or you're eating before and then you get a lunch break and you're like, how good's a car nap? Dude, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Yeah. Yeah, you get that. I get in the back seat if I'm going to have a car nap. Melissa said when I was a young oral health therapist graduate, I used to nap in the dental chair at lunchtimes. Oh. Yeah, go right back. And then go, have a rince. Have a little mouth wash.
Starting point is 00:25:06 I have a little rinse. Stop making those noises, both of you. Natasha said, never nap to work, but I do love some floor time when I feel overwhelmed. Yeah, I'll have a little floor time here every now and then, if we've planned the show. Yeah. Because whelming sits at about the head level, so you want to get low. To be underwhelmed. To be underwhelming.
Starting point is 00:25:28 A text in from a plumber. I've had a few naps while under a house after a big night. Yeah, all really got to work on these twisted. And then charging them $200, bloody $50 an hour. Yeah, yeah, mate. He hates people like me who are right at. been like, can you show me how that works? What's happening under there?
Starting point is 00:25:43 What is that? Pretty good, eh. Pretty good under there. He's like, I'm trying to nap. I'm trying to nap with the spiders and the dead rats that you cat the strangle under here. Ew, yeah, yuck. Someone said I'm a merchandiser and I quite often love a little car nap in between stores.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Yeah, good. I've got 15. You were going to say they were a merchant of the sea and that often catch, you know, 40 winks in between ports. Another message I used to napping at work, but I do work 15 hours shifts as a doctor, so that feels fair. That does feel fair. Also, napping, wink, wink, one. sleeping with nurses.
Starting point is 00:26:11 She doesn't work almost twice as long as Dr. Shawnee does a day. Three times as long as we do. I'm just saying that because I know that he's listening. Oh, good morning, Dr. Shawnee. Did you know I went to the doctor? I go to Dr. Shawnee's practice. Oh, yeah. But not him as a doctor because he's my friend
Starting point is 00:26:27 and he doesn't want to look at my vagina. But while I was waiting. That's a universal thing with all your friends. I know. None of us want to see it. It's beautiful. I've had great feedback. And I was waiting.
Starting point is 00:26:40 He was waiting for the nurse to take my blood pressure and give me a bit of a weigh in. Yep. Oh, yeah. And Dr. Shawnee was like, well, come catch up in between patients and he just took my blood pressure. It's good. He did it manually.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Good blood pressure? Yeah, good blood pressure. Perfect, actually. Well done. Did he say perfect? Yeah, it's good. Oh, that's good. In the good rain.
Starting point is 00:26:58 It's good. We don't need you dropping dead. God, no. No, no, not me first. Alexander. It's all the red meat. It's going to be me. It's the red wean and whiskey.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Yeah. It's going to beat my tequila and sick. cigarettes, I reckon. Yeah. Oh, I'll race you. And stress and sadness. I put often, but this was in the past, when I worked on the Inter Island of Ferry,
Starting point is 00:27:20 shift work and really good couches in the Star Fero. I'd sit an alarm for 20 minutes and have a little snows. That looks. Lovely. Nubes. One of the perks have been a truck driver with a bed in the lorry, nap time, whenever, wherever. That's Shakita, of course. Whenever. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Women to nap together. I used to working a call center in the shift was 6 a.m. Sundays. I was early 20s. would go out to 2, 3 a.m, get little sleep, rocking to work, log in, headset on, then snooze between calls. Sometimes I fell asleep on calls
Starting point is 00:27:46 if people were talking a bit slow, says Maxine. Oh, geez. Wow. Courtney, I used to work at a pet store as a teenager and they'd make you take a one-hour lunch break so I'd get an extra lounge, dog bed and drag it into the office and have a nap. Amazing. That's so good.
Starting point is 00:28:03 That's so good. That's nice. Oh, there's lots of people having... When I was pregnant and in sales, I'd often have a car nap. I think you're allowed to do anything when you're pregnant. Yeah. I've grown a human being. Suck it.
Starting point is 00:28:12 So little pilots have you ever nap to work. 63% of you haven't, but the rest have. Play Z-Ns, flesh one and Haley. Tell you what, it's a good time to be in New Zealand. I reckon we've got heaps of like cool concerts and festivals and summer things and what a vibe. Now, um, tell you where I want to be heading. Broadway, baby. Because...
Starting point is 00:28:32 You've ever been to New York? I... No. Really? No, I've done West End. I've just seen lots of shows on the West End in London, but, but... not Broadway. Because you're a theatre gal.
Starting point is 00:28:41 I'm a theatre girl and I love musical theatre. And tell you what, I love 90s rom-coms. 1999. I'd say one of the best, if not their best rom-coms of all time. 10 things I had about you. Who was in that? It was a mega-leger. That's right.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Julia Stiles. And was Joseph Gordon-Levitt in that as well? Joseph Gordon-Levett. Yeah, he played the guy that was trying to, because he was dating the little sister. She wasn't later-in-law and she was in a later-to-go-on-date. still her older sister was and she was deemed undatable but then
Starting point is 00:29:10 Heath Ledger was like the bad boy It's a Shakespeare Taming of the Shrew right Taming of the Shrew It's a Shakespeare knockoff Yeah I know but a Shakespeare You've come to the right point Give us a little
Starting point is 00:29:21 Thou shall not pass No that's all the rings Good you guys work together to get there Yeah So the reason I'm talking about musical theatre In Broadway and 10 things I had about you This isn't news That this is happening
Starting point is 00:29:35 maybe for some, Lena Dunham of girls' fame and Carly Ray Jepson of, hey, I just met you, have written a musical adaptation of 10 things I had about you. Wow, okay. And it has just been announced
Starting point is 00:29:49 it is making its 2027 Broadway debut. So next year. Next year, that's big man. No poop gets on Broadway. Off Broadway, maybe, but Broadway's a big job. Poop on Broadway. I mean, there obviously new shows have to start on Broadway, right?
Starting point is 00:30:04 No, no, no. New shows will often start off Broadway or in like small theatres until people go, oh yeah, this is good. But has that happened for this? Has this been a thing? I don't know. Or is it's just going to premiere on Broadway? I think this is premiere on Broadway because, yes, it is premiering because it's got Lena Dunham and Carly Ray Jepson.
Starting point is 00:30:23 So you're kind of like. Is Carly Ray Jepson going to be apart? Like, have they announced any of the actors? No, no. But she's written it with Lena Dunham. I'm just trying to see if there was, it's, so it's, following the movie, and the book is written by Lena Dunham and the scores done by Carly Ray.
Starting point is 00:30:42 So it's a based off a, based offer. It's a based off a based offer. Based off a based off. So the musical is based off of the movie, which is based off of the Shakespeare book, Taming of the Shrew. So it describes it as a rebellious new musical about growing up, discovering yourself refusing, to live by others' expectations, as Cat does.
Starting point is 00:30:57 Yeah. In this, amid the crushes, cliques and teenage angst, two sisters set up to define themselves in their own terms. directed and choreographed by Christopher Whelden who previously did MJ the musical The Michael Jackson musical which is like huge There's a two-time Tony Award winner
Starting point is 00:31:14 In there I'm not sure if it's going to be jukebox musical I like do you know what I mean Like if they're going to be pre-existing songs Because Carly Ray Jetson has said to be writing the music So I don't know if it's going to be original or not There's nothing else No no cast or anything announced
Starting point is 00:31:31 But like this this movie's Still rules. For like millennials, that's going to be like the ultimate Broadway show. I'm sure like Gen Z's. Can I ask our girlies, producer girlies, our Gen Z girlies? We love a 10 thing I hate about you movie. Oh my gosh. One of the best.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Yeah, one of the best. I still do like an annual rewatch. And Carly Ray Jepson is one of my favorite artists. Her latest album is still on repeat for me. And for us like Lena Dunham is the voice of the millennials. So it's like perfect. I thought it was Imagine Dragons. No, it's like Imagine Dragons.
Starting point is 00:32:02 Maroon 5. and one republic in my other. Sorry, one republic. In Maroon 5. I was listening to Maroon 5 all morning today, and I thought of you guys. I want to run a quick petition right now, 9-6-9-6. Can I have my auxiliary court up, please? Okay. Petition 9-6-9-6.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Who wants the head leader to clear? I want you to want me. Yeah. This is like the opening shot. This is Mrs. Yeah. And then, of course, he sings, you're just too good to be true. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:32 It is your pick for Friday flashback this weekend. This Friday. I'm not waiting until Friday. I feel like right now. I'm living in the now. I'm living in the now. Are you reflecting the now? I'm going to pause it right now.
Starting point is 00:32:43 You find it in your official music log so we can pay our app profuse. Do you know what? What's the matter of this show? Let us play. Let us to Cleo. Let us to clear. I mean, only have people. I haven't turned their phone or.
Starting point is 00:32:53 That was me. It came through on the computer. Oh, Vaugh. I'm sorry. That was unprofessional. Also, who's messaging you or your friends are here? Everybody. We've got a.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Read it out. It's very popular. Read it out. It's, it's been longstanding international rule on the show. If you get a message audibly during the show, you must read it out. Did you have that at high school as well? If your phone went off, they'll like, read it out. I was like, see you off or pick you up from the bus.
Starting point is 00:33:17 And we can have love and kisses. Good morning, wonderful. And then hearts and it's so cold this morning. Oh, that's cute. Oh, that's actually cute. That's actually cute. That's actually cute. Has she seen her focus face?
Starting point is 00:33:29 What are the kisses about? Clearly he's not... Yeah, everybody wants the hair, won't you to want me. All right, do it. The ZNM Podcast Network. Now, just before we get to a Shannon's hack, we have had word that apparently
Starting point is 00:33:44 Breankland are... campaigning for me to be the first one to do the Skyride for our Deffield Day donation station with A&J. So you just said. Well, I welcome it. Yeah. I absolutely well. I think, I mean, I'll end up doing it. But I think it's... It needs to be Brie,
Starting point is 00:34:02 she's scared of it. Totally. I am not scared. You're doing it. Me, it's free. It's an experience you would otherwise have to pay for. I'm excited to do this. Boo hoo.
Starting point is 00:34:12 I'm like a nevis catapult. I can go up that thing. I've bungee jumped. I've skydow three times. Ew, let's go. Over Dubai, over the world. Oh yeah, that was really nice. Out the back of an Air Force, Hercules.
Starting point is 00:34:23 I know. I love this. It's got to be Brie. Donate, space. Brey. B-R-E to 305. Yeah. It's an instance.
Starting point is 00:34:32 And you know what? It's an instant $3 donation. It's not even about that. One of three people of people like cancer. I forgot it was about that. I just thought we were going up. And it's helping Bree to overcome her fear of heights. I know, exactly.
Starting point is 00:34:45 And it'll make great radio for us listening. Do you want to hear me enjoying it coming down? Or do you want to hear someone terrified for their life? Joy isn't funny or entertaining. A little bit of feedback on the song? My mum keeps going on about how this would be a great Friday flashback and should replace any song you play by. Olivia Rodriguez.
Starting point is 00:35:03 I keep telling her it's Rodrigo. I don't know why she keeps saying it wrong. And this song this morning has put her in such a good mood. Love from a millennial mum. Oh, that's lovely. Someone said banger. Just got in the car on this. James Pine.
Starting point is 00:35:18 It's unbelievable. F. Yes, love this song. La-da-da-da-da-da. Yeah, I mean, great. Good week. Good stuff. All right. Time for.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Don't even have it open. Oh, you were instructed. I was just bathing in some praise on the text machine. Thank you. Donate space. Vaughan. Just while we are pet for time here. I'm ready to go.
Starting point is 00:35:39 If you see a faded sign at the side of the road that says 15 miles to a Shannon's hack. Shannon's hack, baby. Wow. Well, producer Shannon joins us for another. Shannon's hack. Where are we at with an unpredictable history? Well, I've watched a great dog.
Starting point is 00:36:00 and was talking with Vaughn this morning about why the Pope didn't stop Hitler. Dude, very interesting deep dive. Why didn't the Pope? Someone should have. He was quite complicit. It wasn't good. Oh no. Oh, not the Catholic Church being complicit in something awful. It's like, no one. But yeah, I've been kind of too deep in modern history at the moment.
Starting point is 00:36:19 But I'll delve back tonight into something. Do we have one on Friday, please? I reckon, that's a great story. About Pope Pius. Yeah, Pope Pius. Popeius, the TAS. Pope Pius. I hate that font. Two popes, both pious, both complicit.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Sorry, I don't know I said there. So carry on. No, just ignore I said it. Let's just keep going. What did you? Two pikes. Two popes, one chalice. One chalice, not the chalice.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Okay, what's your hack, Shannon? Can we lock in an unpredictable history on Friday? Love. Perhaps. Okay, great. The rest of the show. But today a hack. Yes.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Yeah. What's the theme of our hack? It's just avoiding ads and AI, which is two things I don't love on social. media. Yeah. Now, a tip... I keep getting ones for hair growth.
Starting point is 00:37:04 You know, rub this in here and then they're like, whoa, next day. And you're like, cool. And that's the thing. A lot of ads at the moment are AI slop. A lot of them are just like advertising you weight loss medication. That's not real. It's using New Zealand influences and putting a fat filter on them and saying, do you want to go from this to this?
Starting point is 00:37:21 Oh, who have they done that to? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. They did it to a good friend of the show. Mattie. That's right. Tony Street. They did it to me.
Starting point is 00:37:31 They hacked my whole Instagram for the last two years and put a fat filter on it. Those bastards. That's the funniest thing you've said all year. That's so good. That's funny. An easy hack to avoid this. The main way I find is through Pinterest.
Starting point is 00:37:54 I go on Pinterest. I love a Pinterest. I've got it open right now. Yeah, so when you look up, let's say, nail art, you're going to get a bunch of ads and a bunch of slot. So because Sophie, who loves the phone is, by the way, and who does my nails. Are you going to get the sardine nails done? Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Okay, great. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Fawn's girlfriend's recommended some nails for me and I'm on board. But Sophie was saying to me the amount of people that come to her being like, I want this, she's like, it's all AI now. It's all AI. And so in that regard, it's not possible to do because it's... Well, not that, exactly.
Starting point is 00:38:23 It's not realistic. Yeah. And I know hairdressers are finding this often as well. So every time you're looking up some inspiration, instead of writing nail art, I need you to put a swear word first. I need you to write... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Nail art? Now, a server will not want to serve ads to this because it negatively connotates a brand, so you now will get no ads and avoid a lot of AI slot. Holy shit. It's all real people. Oh, my God, that's real. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:49 All of these, you can tell by the nails that they're real... Wait, so if you remove... If you remove the swear word... I put nail art. Yeah, if you remove the swear word, it'll give you ads. The first one is always an ad. Yeah, there's ads, all BS.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Would this work for a Google search? Yes, yes. So this gets rid of that AI order search, which for me I find often isn't the most accurate. What's something I can search? What's something you're interested about? Okay, why didn't the... Well, no, you need something that's going to be AI.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Could be advertised to you. Like garages. Okay, so I'll say... Well, you think AI slops infiltrated garages? I think it might. of here. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:30 So I saw a garage advertised the other day. It had two doors. That's just a two-door garage. My, actually, I don't want to brag. I don't want to brag. My garage has got four doors, a ranch loader in a standard place. I think you might have an AI garage. Is it not real?
Starting point is 00:39:45 Yeah. No, that's not real. Every time I come over, I'm always like, where's this garage? I know. I know. I can only say that when I were in these meta glasses. Remember when I got born to store my couch in his garage for six months? It was all wet.
Starting point is 00:39:58 That thing was so. Yeah, because he thinks there's a garage there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, this works, man. So if I want to look up, like, sometimes I'll look up, like, fashion inspo 2026. Do that, do that. So if I go effing, fashion inspo, 2026. Yeah, yeah, spring. What if I go effing?
Starting point is 00:40:19 Not an ad and not a robot. Really? Wow. What if I go? Effing, got, got, um, Latino. Badd-eis. No, because that one. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:40:27 No. Careful. Choose a different square word. I will point out because someone has text in. We have talked about going above AI with the Google searches by adding swear words, but this is specifically to avoid ads when searching on apps like Pinterest and such. This is great because I'm on Pinterest all the time. I really like this.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Just a little... Four? Headphones off. Whoa. You can't say I really like this and then have a negative. For me, but I... I don't want to give it a five just because Shannon's hat. I don't want to give it a five as well because it's sort of not that.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Wow, like it's not that creative. Do you know, it's not like putting, it's not like taping pads to our feet to avoid foot fungi in the gym shower. But for me, it's 4.5. I think I might be having a mid-winter athlete's foot flare up, by the way. Are you? It'll be same. Have you gone to the show sponsor? I was going to say, chemist warehouse on the way home from some lamassil.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Some lamassil. Can you get me some of the, um. Vagicil? Yeah. So we've got a lamassil, a vagusil. And an an ananosol. That's the three of us all coming. A lambie of vaguen and an anus.
Starting point is 00:41:32 That's how they know us. All the souls. Okay, I think, what, 4.5? I'm a 4.5. Okay, wait, Tegan's just messaged in this hack. Genuinely changed my crafting life. It's a 5 from crafters everywhere. Those are my people.
Starting point is 00:41:42 And I've been crafting, I'll be making things which I am going to bring them in. Oh, one day. Because I had an, I'm my Ali Express arrived yesterday. I'm going to 5. I'm 5. You're 5. You're 5. You're 5.4. 4.4. 4. It's a 5.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Oh, I'll just go a 4. because she didn't invent it herself. 4.5? That's the only thing. Brother, no one is to be known, Shannon. I find this. Okay, well, 4.5, but I'm a 5. Thank you. 4.5.
Starting point is 00:42:09 4.5. If you see a faded sign at the side of the road that says 4.5 stars for Shannon's hats. 4.5, baby. The ZM Podcast Network. Play ZM's Fleshhorn and Haley. I purchased something yesterday, actually, and after I purchased that, we're not saying what it was. Surprise, it's a secret.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Oh, okay. So suppose it's a secret for us, or is it? No, it's not a surprise of secret. It is because you obviously can't remember what it was. Is this that thing that I said, oh, immediately afterwards, Fletch is like, I've got a discount code for that. I had a 7% off cashback on top of his already discount. I know. I know, and I did it.
Starting point is 00:42:57 I got it. I had it. I know, he's just sitting there. You've always got to ask Fletch. He's got them up his sleeve. This guy has discount code. Wise? What?
Starting point is 00:43:04 No, no, come to me if you're doing wise. Oh, if any listeners. No, no, no. If you're getting wise, right. Wait, if you're getting wise, guys. Sorry, I've just turned off warning Haley's mic, but if any listeners want my wise discount code, I get $150, absolutely.

Go to him if you want to ease him. Fletch is got an ESM reference thing and he'll get like free ESM minutes when he goes overseas If you want a nice and bolder holders, Tiddies, Haley 10

Starting point is 00:44:03 This is Fletchhorn and Hayley's Entertainment book. And it's just, we just crowdsource all of the discount codes, everybody who's listening has. Starting point is 00:44:33 we share it in hundreds of people are taking your work discount. Yeah, that's true. That might be. Or do it, just be brave. Someone's actually messaging they need a WISE and an ESM code. You take the ESM, I'll take the WISM. No, I'll take the WISC because you don't travel. You don't travel. But I use the WISE card.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Ah, you bet you don't travel. I transfer money to my brother in Australia, right? Vorden doesn't need it. For Christmas Christmas. I'll happily hook up a wise card. Okay, you're coming to move your wise card. I'll take your wise card. Okay, so are you sitting on a discount code that you're willing to share?
Starting point is 00:45:03 Even if you don't want to share it, but even if there's a funny story about why you've got a discount code. And I'd love it if it's your name and then a number. Like Haley 15. Oh, my God. It's always Haley 15. Or maybe you just somehow your friend works for the company and you just know this code? Yeah.

That's a Stacey's hack, four stars. Thanks, Stacey. Great for you, Stacey. Claiming a four star hack there. Someone said, I always try thanks 10, thanks 20. Thanks 10 works.
Starting point is 00:47:20 I'll try thanks 20 because I'm pushing my luck. Hannah 10? Did you read Hannah 10 for 10% off courses at Monaco Nail Academy? Lovely. How did you get one of those? Maybe Sophie would do that, you know? Or she would be leading. Sharpen up.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Hero 15, Explosive supplements. Oh yeah. That's another one. Works. I have a new 10 at the rural herbalist. That'll get your 10% off. Yeah. Okay, so somebody messaged it.
Starting point is 00:47:48 I'm not going to read it out because I don't want to raise the eye of a multinational. Okay. There is a website out there. that generates a code for a takeaway place that gets you free so this code it just generates a six digit code that you put it in the checkout
Starting point is 00:48:04 like redeem code thing and it will get you a free thing a significant free thing not like super significant right but enough to be like I'll do that for one of those are free the website or what if they're how do you mean it's a separate code or something
Starting point is 00:48:20 it's a separate website okay why I'm not involved in this I'm not, it sounds like fraud. It does sound a little fraudulent. I don't forget, sex dot life for 20% off wild secrets. Have fun with that one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Now we've got an announcement, I'm sorry. We're going to wrap this up from an announcement. I'm sorry. I'll do this, Fletch. I'm calling it because you're having too much fun with it. This guy loves a discount. I can say it all day. You can see it all day for this.
Starting point is 00:48:47 Steph 20 gets me 20% off at Harkers Herbles. I'm not, Steph and I have no idea who she is. I just asked Chatchip to find a discount code for me, and that's what it came up with and it works every time. Amazing. Mean. Play ZM's Flesh, Foran and Haley. What's this?
Starting point is 00:49:05 Hang on. Now they're going to be quaint. Dogs. Oh God, that's the worst kind of bark too. Real yappy. There are two dogs. So that's just log number seven in my dog log. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:20 You have a dog log? This is log number four of the dog log. Just, yeah. Yeah, it just goes, really it's really not showing it. It's really not showing the irritation it brings me. I've brought this up that I have neighbours. I've got neighbours on either side. Phnom.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Great neighbours. I've got a neighbour at the back. Not Phenom. Once asked if we could go halves on a fence. Called me an asshole. So we're not friends. Right. They have two barking dogs.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Remember I was barking back at them. You were barking at them. Yeah, Hayley was saying... Why not build a nice fence? but purposefully, mate, there's exactly what you know they don't want. Yeah, yeah, I'm going to do that. Yeah, love me. I love that sort of spiteful shit.
Starting point is 00:50:01 It keeps me alive. Can any offence that has no gaps so that it bounces the noise back to them? Yeah, I'm going to get bats in it. I'm going to do the lot. So I have started officially. So, mate, if you've just joined the show, I've got these dogs at the back, there's two, yappy. One of them's, you know, that real, whoa-hoo-o-v-v-i.
Starting point is 00:50:19 It's real bad for you. It's so bad for you. It's bad for your heart. And they don't do anything about it. Traditionally, your dog's bark is a warning and it puts your body into final flight and it gets the old cortisol. Yeah, that's when I ever a dog barks
Starting point is 00:50:32 so I grab a spear. It's just the caveman in me. Yeah, I tie a ha, personally. No, see, I don't dare tie ha. I'm of European caveman descent. Yeah. I just get a broom. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:45 So far I tried talking to them. That didn't work. Call being an asshole. How did you approach that first meeting, though? Really calm. Because we have noted that you are having a lot of these experiences lately. So many. We don't link to the peri, peri menopause at yours.
Starting point is 00:51:01 Yeah. Yeah. Well, I don't care. I'm making a stop. So first I tried talking to them. By the way, I was in a waiting room the other day, and there was an ad for peri, peri menopause that came up on the screen. It said, are you always hot and then always cold?
Starting point is 00:51:15 Dude. That's totally. Over the weekend, I was like, I'm so hot. And, yeah. It was noted that it was happening more often. It was an ad for the blood test that you need to get on data with the cycle. So I've tried that. I tried getting one of those silent alarms that and it didn't work.
Starting point is 00:51:33 It just was pointing in the wrong direction or something like that. The thing that only dogs can hear. Play sound. And I tried, I resorted to barking back at them. And also just been like, shut up! You just sound mad. So I just went on the council website and you can't actually submit an online thing. You have to call them and lodge the complaint.
Starting point is 00:51:52 and they request, as I learnt yesterday when I did call, you have to submit a dog log. So I started a dog log. Wait, but when you played it out of your phone, you need to go to the boundary and record it. Yeah, I know, I know. But also a physical, I've got a log in a physical log. So I've actually got an Excel spreadsheet going,
Starting point is 00:52:11 and I'm logging, time, longevity, volume. Okay. And I'll have the audio footage as kind of like backup. But I have, I've started a dog blog and I realize how much time this is going to take out of my life and how much energy I'm putting into it. Yeah, it's only going to make you more agitated. It is, it is, it is.
Starting point is 00:52:30 But something must be done. And I've also thought about maybe rallying the neighbours for support. Oh, okay. Because what can the council do? Kill it. No, they won't kill it. No, there's like four steps, I think. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Like they'll issue a letter, and then it's a letter with a warning, then it's a fine, and then it's a possible impoundment. Because the dog's distress, you just leave them barking all day long. So they're not even home. You could say I'm rescuing this dog from a miserable life. Dogs, there's two. There's two, and they both set each other off. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Yeah, as to things like leaves and air. Oh, you know. Wind cats. Do you think Haley's dog log could become a podcast of its own? Join me on the ZDM Podcast Network for Haley's Dog Log. For the relaxing, enjoyable podcast, full of laughs. Of me, just going, it's, 3.30 on a Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:53:23 Here we go. I'm here. This dog's been barking for approximately six minutes. Wait? Well, insert an ad there. Yeah. Do you need to get your finances sorted? Come to this finance company
Starting point is 00:53:33 and we'll sort you out with a one-step, easy consolidation load. Interest am being online. I'm back with the dog log. 3.33, the dog's still barking. Yeah, I'll actually, I'll pitch it. Pitch it to the company. But stay true. I'm getting this dog.
Starting point is 00:53:49 Shut up. The ZM Podcast Network Play ZM's FlashForn and Haley Now before the show today There was accusations cast An aspersion's aspersia That perhaps my email of what we could talk about On the show last night
Starting point is 00:54:05 Because we sent around an email The night before the show And here's some possible things we could do On the show tomorrow May have been a fair bit of filler Let me just go through this quickly Phona idea Have you got a discount code
Starting point is 00:54:15 Use that one didn't we So that's great Yeah I did like that actually I liked that name Another phone or idea. What's the best thing you've got for cheap lately? Yeah, well that's good because of the cost of living quite. Yeah, that's what I was too similar to the discount code.
Starting point is 00:54:27 But it was too similar to discount code so it's been earmarked for tomorrow. Keep your financial. The thing is, so when we plan the show, you do sit there on your phone silently, not contributing. So it's kind of like we've got a little fishing for it, you know. Yeah, but I wait to see until there's some gaps and then I swoop in with a hero with a couple of final ones. You wait to the sheets full. Carwin's shaking head. She'll talk with this.
Starting point is 00:54:45 You wait to the sheets full and then you go, what about this? As Shannon heads to the printer. Yeah. Whoa, let's go to the print. Another idea I had. Beware the weather. Let's address the printer. People love to all matter of weather,
Starting point is 00:54:55 bit of a weather report there. That's definitely a filler. That was a filler. That was just trying to make his email look longer. I'd say I'd pay $56 for a nap right now. It's about how you can pay for a nap pod at some airport somewhere. I did want to do this one. The headline that caught my attention.
Starting point is 00:55:12 I did need a man sets Mum's House on Fire performing magic tricks with matches. This goes as good stuff Grimm, though, is the mum okay? I think everybody's okay. My other, who's the family suck up? Because some princess is named a new baby after the queen. I'm just the favourite, yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Then I had the top six signs you're surfing into need. And that was about it. There was one wedged in here that it was accused was just filler. Funer idea. What's your favorite way to lick an envelope? Again, filler. Because dozens of jobs. I didn't know there were more ways to lick them.
Starting point is 00:55:43 Just wait a minute. I was right to leave. No, no, no, no, I'm just going to. give the people a bit of background. Wait a minute, I know it's great. Everybody's doing it now. Every single person listening is holding up an imaginary envelope and licking it. Why are the producer girls so disgusted right now?
Starting point is 00:55:56 And us looking envelopes. This is because... It's not us, it's Fletch. That was great. Which way do you go left to right or right to left? I'd be glad you can't see this. I go like this. Middle, out, middle.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Double look. Guys, you guys are great. Actually, do you know how I do it because you don't want to paper cut your tongue? I go up, up. You go out. You go, go, too close to air. Because you don't want to paper cat your tongue. Why don't you just use some water on your finger, brothers?
Starting point is 00:56:24 Okay, sponge. My nan had a stamp sponge when stamps learned self-adhesive. I like the wet ones at the post office. Yeah, and they're really on the talking. Now, I've, see, it's already got everybody talking. Actually, this is popping off. This is popping off. 9-6, 96, how do you look an envelope?
Starting point is 00:56:39 This is popping off. Don't say all the envelopes are self-adhesive now because they're not. If you go and buy a birthday card, you still have to lick it. Look it. Stick it. Or some of them have nice Peel-off stickers, which are off. On that, though, why has the birthday card industry and the card industry not embraced self-adhesives?
Starting point is 00:56:58 They have. They have. They haven't. They haven't. When you open it like that and there's some of them that have the Peeloft double sign, you stick it down. I've never seen that. Well, you're buying cheap and embarrassing cards. She's buying bourgeois cards.
Starting point is 00:57:09 I'm getting three for 12 at typo. Yeah. Great birthday cards. Guys, you've got to get nice. in the supermarket yesterday for, no, it's a Father's Day card, and it said, you're an Otterly, you're an Otterly fabulous father, it was an otter. I like, I like, I'm going to get that, give it to my kids and be like, give that back. That was my favourite and it said, your quality company.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Yeah, that's good stuff. That's good stuff. Someone said they're a folder. They don't even look, they do that flip it in. Who, anyone can rummage in and get the $20. Yeah, exactly, can't put that in the post, it'll flop right open. So the reason is that Candida, who, if you ask me, no finer. Is that, no thrush?
Starting point is 00:57:44 It's that thrush medication. Can you get brush from looking envelopes? Oral thrush? No. I don't share my envelopes because of meningitis. Because I always wondered how you get oral thrush. Because every time you go into the pharmacy with thrush and they're like, what kind?
Starting point is 00:57:59 And you're like, work it out from my tone, bitch. Hey, I'd be like this. I open up my mouth and be like, not that one. Anti-mouth. Yeah. The antithesis of mouth. The south. South-mouth.
Starting point is 00:58:16 I've got South-thrush. Please don't refer to your fadges of South-mouth. I'm like it. I don't like it. Candida, the stationary people that make the envelope are looking at like... Sorry, Vaughn, apparently it's when you get run down, you get mouth thrush. Shannon's... We're what, eight minutes into this voice break, and I still haven't told you the reason we're talking about... Because it's just popping off.
Starting point is 00:58:38 It's just a stud at all sorts. Tex-machine's going crazy. The stationery might be, might be like shutting up New Zealand. might be shutting up New Zealand operations. Who would they make envelopes? They make envelopes in other stationery and stuff. You know why they're probably shutting down because they haven't done self-adhesive.
Starting point is 00:58:50 I'll say it. Move with the times. I think I've got an acidic saliva because if I ever lick it, it never sticks. Yeah, some of them are right. You must be buying Chinese envelopes. Yeah. They react, poor-letter acid.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Some of those cheap $2-dollar shot ones, they do taste like sweet sour pork. They've hardly got a adhesive. on them. Delicious. Yum. Hoism. See, if there was a hoison,
Starting point is 00:59:20 self-lick, I'd be all about that on the envelopes. Or like banana or strawberry. Yeah. I'm Debbie's message and she's Celiac and she gets gluten just licking an envelope
Starting point is 00:59:31 so she has to use a wet sponge. Oh, okay. Is there flour on it? Wow. Like sprinkling of flour. Who you? Someone said they get there and they lick just in the middle
Starting point is 00:59:42 and then down. Oh, that's not an half. The size are up. You leave your flaps open. You've got to seal the flats. You've got to seal the entire flap. Ever since I watched a criminal mines episode where there was a killer poisoning people
Starting point is 00:59:53 by putting it on the adhesive, I taped mine shut. That's from 061 who's terrified of everything. Goodness me. Someone said yes, Haley's using the expensive ones. They're spending it, but they get a little like sticker on them. Oh, see, that's what you need. Yeah, that's nice. What would you say?
Starting point is 01:00:07 I was told when I was young enough to lick our envelopes because cockroach eggs would be on it and they'd grow on my time. Oh, ho! Who told you that? Of course you can lick an envelope. Gluten-free envelopes is the most 2026 thing of ever heard, said 4-6-A. And you can buy them on Etsy.
Starting point is 01:00:23 Do you have gluten-free envelopes? Do you have keto envelopes? Is there carbs in this lick? Would you say there's one way people are licking the most? No, I'd say we're really spread. Small look in the middle. Multiple little licks, like you said, you don't want a paper cart.
Starting point is 01:00:39 Like the middle, only up, not sideways. Yeah. So they start in the middle and go. I said Southmouth absolutely folded me. Folded you in, tucked you in and then let you and stuck your show. The ZM Podcast Network. Play ZN's Fleshhorn and Haley. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day.
Starting point is 01:01:02 It's It's copper week here at Factor the day And I'm just My algorithm has gone copper crazy I'm getting a lot of copper memes Mostly about the guy that had kickstarted at all Even knew there were copper memes What
Starting point is 01:01:26 I ain't a see it's come across my desk, bro I've got hot football in the most sorts. There's copper memes out there. And some people contributing some amazing copper facts. Oxidization today tomorrow. And not just the Statue of Liberty. I'm excited in general, man. I love copper.
Starting point is 01:01:42 I want to buy a whole bunch of copper pots to hang behind my oven. Tarnished beautifully. Oh, but that's been, that's cliché now. No, no, no, look cute. But expensive, man. Even at the second-hand stores. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, good Lord.
Starting point is 01:01:56 One of my maiden money? Yeah. I wish. Just want to wait until there's a nice spool of it on the side of the road. left behind it's by the civil works people. Get that melted down at the local scrapies and shape of your own pots and pans, you know? That sounds like such a full way to pass your time.
Starting point is 01:02:09 Now, today's copper factors that copper is one of the farthest traveled elements we've got. Nothing built by humans has gone further than Voyager 1, which was launched in 1977 and is roughly 24.8 billion kilometres from Earth. So the radio signal takes over 23 hours just to reach it if we send it a ping and it pings back.
Starting point is 01:02:28 When was this launched? 1977. Outrangers and it's still going. Is it solar? No, it's just going. It's just going. Right. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:02:40 It was flung out of the solar system. It's out of the solar system. It's still travelling. And bolted to its side is a chunk of copper. A gold record, which is a 12-inch gold-plated copper disc. Because they were like, we'd better gold-plated. But copper's doing all the heavy lifting. As we've been learning this week, it's the unsung hero of the metal world.
Starting point is 01:02:59 Oh, so everyone's like, oh, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold. Copper's doing. Whatever, man. He's just plating it. I'm like, I'm doing all the hard work here. So on that copper disc, it's carrying sounds, images and greetings in 54 languages meant for any alien that stumbles across it. You know that depiction of man that's like somebody standing in there arms like that?
Starting point is 01:03:18 Yes, that's on there. That's on there. That's on there. Yeah, DaVinci's drawing of man. It's kind of like, this is what we look like back here. Are you wearing a crop top? It's when you put your arms up there. Do, do, do, do, do, pause.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Pause. Boy, side note, side note. Or should we talk about this in general? He's wearing a crop top. I'm not wearing a crop top. Have you put your top in the dryer or something? This top did shrink more. Because I've got a few from this brand.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Nostalgia. Put your arms back up again? No, but even when he's not, stand up. It's crot. I call that crop. It sits right on the belt. Is there something you want to tell us? I like dudes.
Starting point is 01:03:53 I knew it. And I want them to see my sweet little belly. Yeah. Little pooku hanging out the bottom. Yeah. A small line between a top and about line. I'm here for it. It's just, it's not just for the guys, I think.
Starting point is 01:04:05 It's cropped itself, but giving a rave reviews. Well, yeah, a lot of straight married men are doing it now. Apparently. Me? Well, I'm not married, but I am straight. For now. Well, technically you're still married. Technically, and the eyes are technically still straight and married.
Starting point is 01:04:17 And the eyes of the law. Maybe not. Maybe gay and looking. Who knows what the next few years hold. I think we're getting closer and closer to him, not just looking at it in an MMF. You know, I'm looking at it. Okay, so shush. But also, scientists reckon there's not, the copper we've got left unused on Earth,
Starting point is 01:04:38 there's more of it out there. They've had their eye on one very big, rich asteroid called 1986 DA. And they reckon that's got copper, iron, nickel, gold and platinum. And that's one of the ones that we've got our eyes on mining. Right. You know how they bounced? Yeah. Didn't we, do we bounce something off a, of a comet?
Starting point is 01:04:57 Or did it land on the comet? I felt like it landed on the comet. So how are we going to get all those medals in the nickel back? If it's on the asteroid. No, I mean it as it was, ma'am. Well, I'm just saying if the, how are we going to get the nickel back is you've just got to look at this photograph. Wow.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Good, good, yes. Because every time I do it, it makes me laugh. See, I love that you've brought that up. This is how you remind me of things like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good, good. I'm out of nickelback songs, by the way. It's a rock star.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Anyway. Well, you were somewhat of a hero for your moment. Thank you. That's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, what's Joey doing here? And what the hell is in his head? Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Anyway, enough nickelback. So today's fact of the day is there is a piece of copper 24.8 billion kilometers away, and we put it there. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day. I do do do do do do to do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do. Flays A ZDM's flesh, for an haley. There is an influencer mum who's being absolutely reamed online after she's like a mum fluency, you know, like, join me for my day kind of vibes.
Starting point is 01:06:17 And she's 29 years old and she's from Utah and she shared a clip of her. and she was like finally made it to the gym and she's like dated the day, you know, done the time stamped the day. Yep. Wake up this time, arrange the kids, da-da-da. 9 p.m. She's finally made it to the gym.
Starting point is 01:06:33 Good on her for getting to the gym as a mum. But she does have the baby strapped on her tummy. At 9 o'clock. And a holder. And everyone's like, that's too bloody early. That's too late, sorry. Well, that's like hours after my bedtime. Nine o'clock.
Starting point is 01:06:46 Yeah, yeah. You don't even get to get a strap to someone's chest, do you? How old was the baby? Five months old. Okay, so she's not getting a lot of sleep through the night. No. She's waking up in all hours. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:58 So, like, the baby's, like, lying in the pram for lots of it, but when it cries, like, she straps it to the chest and she's on the treadmill and that kind of stuff. And she's got two million TikTok followers. And the feedback's been like, this is really bad motherhood. But I'm kind of like, sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do. If the baby's not sleeping anywhere, the mother's well-being is very important as well. Also, like, what about the other gym people if it's crying?
Starting point is 01:07:20 You don't go to the gym I mean you have headphones Yeah Is this not a home gym This is like a gym gym No no she's gone to the gym I thought she was using a home gym No
Starting point is 01:07:31 No So people are like You've taken her out You've wrapped her up in her clothes and stuff You've driven to the gym You've got this and it's so like It's very dangerous People are like you can't be on a treadmill
Starting point is 01:07:42 Because you're walking Is she running or walking Walking? You walk on the street with a baby's chest I don't know why I'm so like It puts the baby to sleep That baby Bjorn bouncy thing was like how you got the baby to go to sleep.
Starting point is 01:07:52 What if you fall in, you fall on her. I'm like, no one says that to her mum walking down the street. But I was like, this reminded me so much of when I was so young, and I've said this before. If I was spewing, I'd have an ice cream bucket and I'd be at the back of Les Mills, man, because Patsy was not missing pump. Wrenz, she'd even take you there for a chunny at the back of her. Yeah, we used to have that there was a crache at the back of the Lesmills she went to and it had glass, and I'd be back there, and you'd be spewing into a bloody tip-top ice cream
Starting point is 01:08:17 container as mum did pump. She's not missing her pump. Neapolitan? Policies. Neapolitans. Neapolitans. So my brother and I were both happy and Dad could have vanilla. Yep. You'd have strawberry, have chocolate? I'd have strawberry, he'd have chocolate. You'd got it. Easy. But I want to know from our listeners, where did your parents take you when you were young?
Starting point is 01:08:32 Because they had no other choice. Well, you'd always end up at mum and dad's work, which maybe these days you couldn't because of health and safety. Yep. Yeah, totally. You were at the back of the bloody kitchen while, you know, mum was working the friar. Yeah. Or, you know, like, when your parents used to just have to, bloody, take you to the garage parties that you shouldn't have been in. you're three years old and it's 1 a.m. And you're like, God, I just want to go home. Like, parents do what they have to do.
Starting point is 01:08:56 Sometimes you can't get a babysitter. Yeah, they drag you around to, I don't know, a sports tournament. Just let me pull into the pub real quick on the way home from your Friday night sports game. But you've got some chips and a drink. Oh, now we're in a taxi. There'd be so many kids that just had to wait in the car outside the pub. In the pub. Play pool while mom and dad have some drinks.
Starting point is 01:09:13 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, well, this is what we want to know. 0800 dials at em. Call us. You can text through 966. Where did you have? have to go with your parents as a kid. Alicia, where did they take you?
Starting point is 01:09:25 Well, my parents were thrown into parenthood very young, a tender age of 19 and 21. Wow. And my dad was working three jobs, and one of them was a milk run. My mum got with the milkman, didn't she? Oh, I love it. Love it. So he had her doing the running while he was driving the cab. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:09:47 He's running. Okay. And there was no one's about me. Your parents must have been absolutely snatched, eh? Yeah, 19. 19. 19. 15.
Starting point is 01:09:56 In the 70s and my dad had the long, curly surfer here. Yeah. Yeah. Running the blue top. Anyway, what did they do with me? They put me in a cardboard box in the front cab under the heater. What's nice of every you're warm? I love that.
Starting point is 01:10:11 Nice and warm. And your parents are out there earning money. Yeah. And my Alicia is alive today. Yeah. Well, she wouldn't be ringing. I spent my entire life wondering whether I was lucky or abused. No, I reckon lucky, man.
Starting point is 01:10:24 They were making it happen. Bit of carbon monoxide poisoning, that's character building. Yeah, but also offset by the calcium from all that milk. Strong bones. Strong bones. My asthma. Strong bones, terrible lungs. Alicia, thank you.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Larissa, where did your parents take you as a kid? Well, we live in Wellington, and we went, mom and dad with a band at church. so we had to have band practice twice a week and then twice on Sunday so I was pretty much just there you know When did they play?
Starting point is 01:10:54 I thought Sunday would have been the prime day for actually playing rather than practicing Yes so it's a bit of both So we did it early to practice and set up And then we had the first morning And then we had a night session as well Wow was that like full combay-ar Or did they play some covers?
Starting point is 01:11:10 Yep Yeah, some BG's covers or something Yeah Wow Yeah Staying alive. I mean, Jesus famously did stay alive. He came back alive. He's back in a life.
Starting point is 01:11:21 Larissa, thank you. Georgia, where did your parents take you as a kid? Hey team, I'm long-time listener, first time call. Lovely to have you. Welcome. Welcome. Thank you. Yeah, me and my sister spent a lot of time at the White Cemetery. Oh, why? Did mum or dad work there? So, mum did headstones for people and should often have to go there and check that they were all installed properly and do other random things that I don't. I don't really know since I was a kid, but we used to have a great time running around causing havoc.
Starting point is 01:11:48 So your mum's is a havoc and a great guy. We got told not to touch stuff a lot because we're like, oh, pretty things. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. Don't take those. You like, I found some jewelry and it's just some jewelry left on top of someone's headstone. Yeah, yeah, something precious. Nana's necklace. Oh, exactly.
Starting point is 01:12:05 Now, we were just, you know, we should apologize all the people we're weeks and we played on their graves, but poor mum, you're two young kids at a cemetery. Not ideal. Was your mum a stone mason? Carving the headstones? Or did she just... She didn't carve and she just talked to the families and stuff and came up with the design and stuff. Sales.
Starting point is 01:12:24 Sales. I want mine to be so swish. Jerry, can you have like sales targets as a headstone salesperson? Yeah, yeah. You'd assume so. Yeah. Flea season's coming in. They're like, all right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:12:37 Rubbing their hands. We want 10% on last year. We want 10% on last year. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You get more. They're not going out and killing people to get the numbers up.
Starting point is 01:12:47 Georgia, you do raise a good point. This is what, KPI's force on people in the workplace. Murder. Exactly. Now she works at a funeral home, so she's continued in the death. She loves death. Yeah, so I ended up also working at the funeral home and the Morgan things too. Right.
Starting point is 01:13:02 Well, you're not going to run out of a job there, are you? Because people are always famously dying, aren't they? Exactly. All of us will do it, guarantee. They will, yeah. I can't do it. Georgia, thank you. Keep your text coming in.
Starting point is 01:13:15 We'll get to those next. 966. Where did your parents have to take you as a kid? Is a fit flu at some mum? Took a baby to the gym at 9pm? She's not, she's coping it online. Some real Kiwi ones coming through here. Love this.
Starting point is 01:13:29 My parents owned a dairy since before I was born, so I basically grew up working at that dairy. Oh my God, free lollies. Far out. Do you think you would have been a fat kid and you because you ate all the lollies? I would have been. Or it depends on the parents relate.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Or you never allowed them. for too long. Yeah, or you just ate so many lollies. Yeah. You got sick of it. That you don't like lollies now. But you're like, imagine being at school and being like, yo, my dad owns the dairy. Everyone would be like, whoa, can we go off to school?
Starting point is 01:13:54 You want some fizzy coke bottles or not? Be my friend. Yeah, I had a friend when I was in primary school, she lived above the dairy and they used to run a tab down on the dairy. Oh wait, so they didn't work at the dairy. And so we used to go and then we were like put on Georgia's tab. Really? Because I would. Mom, I don't know how much she would have paid over the years.
Starting point is 01:14:10 I would have as a kid waited until like midnight, drilled a hole on the floor, got a fishing rod. Mission impossible. And got lollies and then covered it up. Sick, man. That would have been such a good use of time. My mum shed an office with another lady. The other lady brought in a dog bed for us to sleep on when we were at work. One day, both her daughter and myself were both sick.
Starting point is 01:14:31 We both went to their work and we both had to share the dog bed. Shout out to those hardworking parents, right? Yeah. Making it work. Shout out to that genius hack too, just sort of elaborated. or so as dog bed will get, you know, a couple of small kids on it. My mum used to load us up at 4 a.m. in the back of the Subbaro Outback with the seats folded forward, mattress, blankets and a DVD player and take us to morning milking with her, then shoot back and get us ready for school.
Starting point is 01:14:55 My parents used to play volleyball and had all sorts of people in their teams. One time they took us to the Hawks Bay Nudest Camp because their friend was a nudist and they had an open day. We didn't have to be nude except for in the pool. That was a non-negotiable. She was pretty loose back in the day. Jesus. Don't say loose when you're nude. You know, it happens to all of us.
Starting point is 01:15:10 Mom and Dad used to put us to sleep in the back of the Corolla station wagon while they went inside to church at night on the street. Manchester Street in Christchurch, by the way. Really? A few knocks on the windows. My parents are triathletes. We'd get left on the side of the river or, like, cement works while they kayaked or biked. Sometimes Joyce the chain smoker would look after us because she didn't do triathlons.
Starting point is 01:15:30 She's too busy smoking fags. Joyce the chainsmoker, I love that. Come on you, kids. We'd be taken to the pub every Sunday for 11sies, which would mean we'd be there all day until it closed. Yeah. God, these people just been taken everywhere.
Starting point is 01:15:45 My parents took me and my sibling on a wine tour when we were about nine with all their friends set the scene. They had a limousine for the tour and they were in Napa Valley in California. Oh, nice. Limousine when you're nine must be nice.
Starting point is 01:15:56 The key is just not to put it online. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Never share. Never share. Grew up in Hastings in the 70s. Dad played league. God, that's painting a picture, isn't it?
Starting point is 01:16:06 Parties, league, club, whatever. We'd always get a pack of chips in one drink and you fellas stay here we won't be long. Oh yes, yeah, yeah. That was my dad at the squash court, Mitchell Park in the heart. Yes, the chips and maybe some hot chips from the kitchen. Hot chips from the kitchen was always a tree.
Starting point is 01:16:23 Yeah, let's just run around. Don't go to the courts. Still tastes the same. My dad took my sister and I to Beachcoma Island in Fiji to have an affair under the ruse of taking the nanny. What? Put of a classic one there. Wait.
Starting point is 01:16:36 It's not a classic one. That's not the, that's not the, the island you take your kids and your nanny to. I would have children to beachcombe, where do you take your nanny to have affairs? Beachcombe is like the party island. Ah, not the affair island. Not the affair island.
Starting point is 01:16:49 What's a fair island to be more of your affair island? I don't know. You're just in any resort, adult resort. My parents used to show juicy cows at the Royal East to show they dragged me and my brothers along, but there's never any money to get accommodation for the night so we'd literally sleep in the stall, snug up to the cows for warmth.
Starting point is 01:17:06 Oh my God. We were rogue, but we're tough. Yeah, it's made us tough. We're tough, man, from spewing into things while my parents work out. My mum was in an amateur theatre group. I remember lying in the back row of a theatre audience with tonsillitis at like 10pm at night and just screaming agony and pain lying. They're listening to my mum terribly sing.
Starting point is 01:17:24 Oh. At least you're just having fun. Yeah, exactly. The ZM Podcast Network. Play Z&M's Fletch, Worn and Haley. Here's a study from New Jersey. looking into how many personal care products people are using based on age and teenage girls are the ones that I want to address.
Starting point is 01:17:48 On average are using 14 personal care products are day. Which is just over the amount that an adult woman, such as myself, would use. Whatever happened to just using some Claricil and that was it? But a proactive for your pimples and a hairbrush. A Claricell face wash. What is this includes? A perfume, hair products, makeup products, skincare, you know, because that's increasing teenagers. In my experience, it's come right back to the old skincare.
Starting point is 01:18:20 That used to be a lengthy, it's hair now. No, don't retinoles. Here's getting all the attention. I'm trying to think. Curly Girl routines and such. Yeah, they are. Well, a lot of mine are like based on PCOS, like my hair falls out. So I'd probably put about like eight things in there and then buy it anyway.
Starting point is 01:18:38 But producer girlies, because we've got me a millennial. The producer girlies are Gen Zs and these are the younger generation, the teenagers now, Gen Alpha's, using 14 products a day. Where would you sit? Oh my gosh, nowhere near. Nowhere near. Wait. I put mascara on today.
Starting point is 01:18:55 It adds up. Oh, yeah. To be fair, actually, if I say every makeup product, maybe. And then I don't, Shannon uses all to hair care. I don't. I could say my hair care is 14, I does. But skincare, I use one eye to. Look at her hair, she's got the best out of the lot of us.
Starting point is 01:19:10 Out of the five, she's at the top. Yeah, skincare-wise, I use one face wash and one thing, because I'm on acutane so I can only use two products. Real basic, yeah. Yeah. But hair-wise, I use two scalp serums. I do two different shampoos, two conditioners, a hair mask, an after-shower spray.
Starting point is 01:19:27 That's what I do it as bond repair. Yeah, I'm probably getting close. How much you spend on? Not much. No, I'm very good with picky and choosy. But again, it's health-related. I think like you, Haley, I make. decisions based on I lost a lot of
Starting point is 01:19:40 hair. A ailments. Yes, totally. Totally. Yes, we were losing hair around the same time. That was a beautiful bonding moment. I lost 50% of my hair. Yeah, Me too. I lost 100%. I actually still have quite a bit of the side. I think if you grew your hair out, you'd still have more strands than me.
Starting point is 01:19:58 That's a fun game. Not as evenly spread. Let's count them. Let's have a strand off. 14 though. And so obviously like boys were in the single digits, you know, deodorant and... That's it. Links or something like that. Yeah. But they were saying, yeah, social media use is like a huge driver of this
Starting point is 01:20:17 because you've seen these holy grail products or make your hair look like this or use this thing. But what about your gen alphas? Do they use... You've got two of those? No, not crazy. No, not as much as it was. I mean, when Indy first started at high school, there was a lot.
Starting point is 01:20:31 Yeah. Or the Korean stuff as well. Yeah, it's toned right back. As I said before, it's most... about hair now. Do you think the Gen Alpha is toned down when they realize have to buy it themselves? Yeah. They're walking into Mecca. They're like, oh my God, fun.
Starting point is 01:20:44 And then they look at the price of a mascara. They're like, ooh! Somebody just messaging their 15-year-old son uses more hair products than they do. Oh, really? What is he just not rocking one of those shaved on the side, long on the back, mulety situations that all the boys are. Put a bit of...
Starting point is 01:20:57 Fluff that up with a bit of moose. But are they still using hair gel? Dax wax wax. Any dachswax? 9-6-9-6. Anyone put any fudge on board? I'm going to get one of those blue hair gels. I'm going to see if you can still get dax wax wax. And what was the cheek of dax wax wax. Can you still get dax wax wax wax?
Starting point is 01:21:12 Yeah, I saw it in the supermarket not long ago. Get out, you can. It's still for sale. Daxwax Waving groom. Dax waved and groom. Dax wager. Do you know three quarters of teenagers are wearing perfume and cologne? That's good though because if you smelt a raw one, they stink.
Starting point is 01:21:26 Oh, you're raw teenager. They stink. Play Zat M's Fletch, Vaughn and Haley. I'm very aware of my memory because I've got Alzheimer's in my family and then it feels like a ticking time bomb. And it's not helped by the fact that I forget literally everything. An example yesterday. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:44 And then I want to hear from our listeners, what have you forgotten recently? Because yesterday I was at the tool shop. Yeah. And remembered... The tall shop. Tool. A toll.
Starting point is 01:21:56 I think he's at the tall shop. No, I'm all shop down at the tall girl shop. I know. I was at the, at Manitian. And I was going, on my to-do list, which always gets forgotten, was keys cut. Oh, yeah. I've lost some keys around, you know. Someone's got one and whatnot.
Starting point is 01:22:17 And I was like, oh, I want to get a lockbox. I want to get a tool cut for the lockbox I put up last week. Oh, yeah. Like, I'm not, I'm not an Airbnb, but just every now and then, it's good to be able to say to a neighbor, hey, can you pop over or, I forgot that or whatever, keys in the lockbox. Whatever, keys in the lockbox, here's the code. Yeah. So a couple of weeks ago I'd got this lockbox
Starting point is 01:22:35 and drilled it into the fence and done the thing and set the code and put it up. Got the keys cut yesterday. I'm excited. I went for coloured keys because they offered. Yeah. Is that more expensive to get a coloured key? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:22:46 I go for a theme key. I like if I get a key card. I like getting a Star Wars key. No, that's trash. I just went purple and green. It's trashy having a themed key. Oh, I think it's fine. Excuse me, 96-96, themed keys.
Starting point is 01:22:57 Seemed keys. Or colorful keys. Do you like to express yourself through keys? because apparently old stainless steel over here just likes a silver. I don't want to enter my house with a cartoon cat on my house key. Why wouldn't you? Because it's trashy.
Starting point is 01:23:11 No, it's trash. Do you know what this man needs more of? Whimsy. He needs more whimsy. This guy's a whimsy vacuum. He doesn't like whimsy. You don't think I have enough whimsy of my life. Dude, there's one thing you're sorely lacking.
Starting point is 01:23:20 It's whimsy. You need more whimsy. Even your whimsy is structured. It's a plan. It's very planned. I have structured. The whimsy arrives at the time. I've actually got five minutes for whimsy.
Starting point is 01:23:30 Yeah. And then I've got to have been. get out of here. Leave whimsies. Keyes get scuffed in the and they look disgusting. Well I went for some coloured keys and I got them home and I'm excited.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Mattelip. Yeah and I was like little things like you know Vaughn needs to borrow a thing or whatever someone needs to get into the whatever. So here we go. Get the keys and I was like I'm going to put in my lockbox that I installed on my own. Get to the lockbox
Starting point is 01:23:53 put in what I assume I would have made the coat. Not the coat. I was like, that's okay. I have been recently adjusting to a second code. Okay. Put in the second code.
Starting point is 01:24:05 Not the code. Then I thought maybe I was anticipating my parents using this. Put in their codes. Not the code. Put in the stock standard came with it.
Starting point is 01:24:14 Maybe I said it wrong code. Zero, zero, zero, zero. Not the code. Try all these codes. Forgotten the code. I've forgotten the code. And this thing is like work solid.
Starting point is 01:24:24 Oh, you've got to open it. It's got to be open to reset the code. To reset the code, to reset the code, you've got to open it. To open it, you need to be able to, To get it off the fence, I need to get to the screws which are inside that. Yeah, your lockbox, those lockboxes are really hard to, even when you get the code right, you've got to.
Starting point is 01:24:40 Click the fingernail down. So you're sure you haven't got the right? No, I was there and I was like, I've forgotten the code. It's not my code. Why would I have made a code? By all man's mansplain it to how to open her own lockbox. Thank you. Well, I mean, she, I'm just, you know.
Starting point is 01:24:54 Woz-Ju-I, I went to man open the WWWKW. I mean, there's no man listening that can help me open my Wwapwob. You know what you need to do now is find some, like go on your community page and pay some school child to stand there and start at 0,000. Is it 4? Yeah, 4. So 10,000 combos. So, and then I went, I was like, oh my God, I've forgotten the code.
Starting point is 01:25:19 When I sat on the deck, I was like, my birthday, not the code. There's just nothing. There's no thing that it would be. And I remember at the time doing the code, trying the code, closing it. Trying the code, closing it. So it is a code that I know in my being. Right. But it's not the code.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Goodness. No, I was forgotten. And even though it was like two weeks ago that I set this code, I want to know what have you forgotten recently? That you're just like, why did I, how did I forget that? And before we get into the calls and the text on what have you forgotten recently, just some quick feedback on coloured keys or, you know, whimsical keys. Massive Warriors fan.
Starting point is 01:25:49 I have the Warriors logo head is my house keys. Wow. Okay. Coincidentally, someone said I went to the locksmith and I said it in a key for the front door and a key for the back door. Here's one of each. Can I have them coloured? So I remembered, he gave me a pink key
Starting point is 01:26:03 for the front door and a brown key for the back door. Now, if he did that on purpose... Very funny. Funny. Yeah. Pink in the front, brown in the back. Yeah. The stink.
Starting point is 01:26:13 I think there's two doors. I think there's two doors at the front. And there's one of the back. Right. One's the cat flap, though. Don't go up there. Avoid flaps. No.
Starting point is 01:26:22 We're going in the pink. Okay, get your texts in 9-6-0-800. What have you just forgotten recently? Someone's calling Fletch, Want to know right now, what have you forgotten recently? I installed a lockbox. Went to put the key in it yesterday. I've forgotten the coach.
Starting point is 01:26:35 And you can't get it off the fence until you open it. It's not my birthday. It's not two of my go-to codes. It's not my parents' codes. It's not... Maybe we need to get you hypnotised to remember. But what else will come out. That seems...
Starting point is 01:26:49 Do you know what I mean? What I've pushed down belongs there. And what if the number's right underneath it all? Yeah. And it's all to come out before the number. Well, that's just the price you pay. I've been a terrible person. 3397.
Starting point is 01:27:03 So what have you forgot recently? Connie, what did you forget recently? Oh my God, I've just remembered it. Connie! I've just remembered it! Oh my God! Write it down, write it down, write it down. How did you remember?
Starting point is 01:27:16 So I said a number, Connie, welcome to the show. I've just read, I just said a number out loud that was random. And then I was like, that sounds like a number that is similar to the number that I thought it was. And then I was like, no, it's not the beginning of that. it was the end of the other part of why that's a cope. Connie, welcome. I hope I helped. You did your spirit, babes.
Starting point is 01:27:37 I'm just going to write this down. Hang on to Connie. We just need Haley to write this down otherwise. We're just not going to hear the end of this saga. Now, Connie, what did you forget? I forgot that I was teaching a class one morning. And I wasn't in Queenstown. I was in Dunedin.
Starting point is 01:27:55 Oh, okay. Yeah, that's not going to happen. Not to be there in five. How did you forget? I had a week off the week before, and the classes were starting that week. We usually do five week blocks. And I'd just, it's just gone from my brain. So was your class just sitting there waiting for you, Connie?
Starting point is 01:28:14 They started to walk in, and luckily there was a member there. And she called me. And she said, oh, I've got these people coming in. Is there a class? I said, oh. Yeah, there is. There is a class. Man, I forget a lot of things, but thankfully, turning up for work hasn't been one of them.
Starting point is 01:28:33 You don't forget. No. Connie, thank you. Let's go to Rebecca. Rebecca, what have you forgotten recently? Well, I actually forgot something that started a small fire in my kitchen. Okay. Did you leave something cooking?
Starting point is 01:28:47 Spuds. No, well, see, my cooktop has actually shed itself. Oh, yeah. I'm so sorry to hear that. I've been operating a camp cooker in my kitchen. Oh, okay. And I forgot at Kmart that I needed to replace the gas canisters. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:04 So I was halfway through Cook and Coomera, and the gas ran out. And I was like, okay, that's fine. I'll pop up to Jerry up the road and buy another canister. And I should have known something was off when the camisor had mega written all over the front of it. And I thought, you know what? I need my tumor, so I'm just going to buy one. Yeah. Got home, put in the camp cooker, and next minute the whole thing blew up.
Starting point is 01:29:24 Rebecca, are you living in a rental or do you own this house? I'm living in a, what's my sister's house and I'm living in a rent, so I rented off her. Yeah, right. She's got landlord responsibilities. Yeah. And she's your sister.
Starting point is 01:29:39 I would 100% be like, ma'am! I'd take her to tribunal. Yeah, ma'am, I'm about to take her to tribunal, ma'am. But also, Haley. Yeah, I'm right. You've got to watch those coloured keys. Why? Because they're not actually sturdy, because I had one.
Starting point is 01:29:54 And I went to get into my house and it snapped off in the lock. Yeah, but Rebecca, what's your door situation? Because mine are brand new doors. It sounds like a piece of shit. The stove's broken there. I've got new doors, new locks. Well, good. I'm not rocking an old one.
Starting point is 01:30:07 Yeah, but... Because the locksmith came round and he was like, yeah, these keys don't last because they're a softer metal than the same as their one. But they're whimsical. And they're not being used every day. I'm gentle. I'll tell you what's not whimsical. It's being stuck on your porch at 2 a.m.
Starting point is 01:30:19 Because you can't get into your house because how your keys broken off. But that's well, I'll have a couple of them in my lockbox, which I can now get in. to because I remember the coach. Rebecca, thank you. Let's go to Connor. Connor, what have you forgotten recently? Yeah, it wasn't me.
Starting point is 01:30:34 The old boss man in the office was putting out a full investigation about his lunch that had got missing out of the fridge. We've had that too at our work. And then opened the microwave the next day to heat up the next day's lunch. And yesterday's lunch was sitting in there. Oh, Kiyo-kiela. Oh, yeah. That's where it was. So he'd left it in the microwave but accused everybody else.
Starting point is 01:30:54 Yeah, where's my bloody lunch gone and then he's microwaved it and then forgotten about it until the next day. Oh my God, I love this. Yeah. It was it edible still? Like, was the lunch able to be eaten? No. Probably not. I mean, I would have, but I'm a bit of a.
Starting point is 01:31:12 You're a minger. You're a feral. Connor sounds like Conner's a feral. Connor sounds like you have a coloured key for his house. He actually absolutely would. What kind of key have you got? Lockbox. kind of toad thing.
Starting point is 01:31:26 Are you a lockbox going? A toad. You see I wish I went toad. No, he's in code. Who has a lockbox? Who has a lockbox toad? I thought of a little toad that had a key and you went like that.
Starting point is 01:31:39 That would be cute. It would be cute. But people would know, I reckon. Connor, thank you. Bex, what have you forgotten recently? Hey, good morning. Good morning. So I went through an era of memories over things, right?
Starting point is 01:31:50 So I was booking all these like festivals and shows and we booked tickets to the comedy gala in Christchurch. Oh, yeah. I was there. Yes, you were. Did you see me? The reason I booked it, to be fair. Oh, lovely.
Starting point is 01:32:09 That was really funny. Yeah. Oh, shame, mister. Anyway, so we were packing the car. Carry on, please. We were packing the car. and because we had the flights and everything and then something just prompted me
Starting point is 01:32:23 to check what seats we were in on the aeroplane and it was like three weeks before so I was like no so we missed it so we were three weeks late so we didn't go
Starting point is 01:32:36 so you thought oh the comedy fest is this weekend but it was actually three weekends ago yeah it was like May the 3rd and it was like the 27th Bex you've got to use a calendar festival's done by the event a calendar, Bex. This is stressing me out. You've got to have everything in the calendar.
Starting point is 01:32:52 Yes. No, but even the funniest, the funnier thing is I booked tickets to your baroness show, Haley. Yeah. And then that same day, Nelson, it was Siderfest. And then I was at Siderfest, and I was like, shit, your show is tonight. So I missed that as well. I just don't, something, there's a force
Starting point is 01:33:12 that's keeping you away from Haley, and it might be for the best. I think maybe this is for the best. Maybe my tour has been going well because Bex can't Make it. To be honest, I was at your show on Saturday. And so it just made out for everything. Oh, that's good.
Starting point is 01:33:27 Yeah, that's the best one. You've got the good one in the end. Yeah. Yeah. Well, nothing to compare it to it. But it was great. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:33:34 This just really filled my car. The best has no point of comparison to see if it's been better than the other ones. There's no baseline. It could have been.
