Starting point is 00:00:00 From the ZM Podcast Network. This is Fleshwood and Haley's Big Pod. Brought to you by Chemist Warehouse. The biggest brands of the lowest prices. Yeah, Bryn away, but, God, it's good to hear. Kay Gregory, really, oh, very, very long-time friend at the show in all sorts of forms. Nobody did a 6pm weather bulletin like Kay Gregory. Get her back.
Starting point is 00:00:23 She runs a hell of a funeral. Does she? Hell of a funeral. If you're thinking of dying. and you're in the Whitecutter K.Gregory.com Hal of a celebrant.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Both weddings I think she does a wedding and a funeral. Free plug there. She'll do the whole family thing. She'll do a christening. Maybe you're baptized. She'll do from start to end.
Starting point is 00:00:43 Love this. She'll move you out of your house into a retirement village as long as you book the funeral combo as well. Right, we love her. Haley is away today. She's on, I'll say, special assignment.
Starting point is 00:00:55 She's gone to Sydney. She flew to Sydney yesterday. where she'll be meeting very sporty or maybe you could say spicy guest who's going to donate some iconic looks
Starting point is 00:01:08 for this year's Uber and New Zealand Red Cross clothing drive So that's exciting Was that cryptic boy? Was that cryptic enough for you? You're a cryptic boy Kay Ringers just messaged me
Starting point is 00:01:22 Oh what did you say? Hello, someone must be sick if I'm reading your news Have a great morning You're not wrong Brin, Brin's sick. You're not wrong, hey, Gregory. Is Bryn sick?
Starting point is 00:01:31 Or is he doing what people are calling career cushioning? We're going to discuss this soon on the show. Uh-huh, we are, we are. But next on the show. Later on the top six is dealing with the top six road rules that didn't make it. There's new road rules today if you're going to get in your car? Panic, don't panic. Panic, panic, don't panic.
Starting point is 00:01:48 There are some new road rules. We're going to go through those soon. I got the top six road rules that didn't make it. But next on the show, where is the cocaine? The story is wild. I love this story so much. Having been offered cocaine in a Fijian supermarket by a guy that was like, hey, cowboy, he was a cocaine.
Starting point is 00:02:06 I was like, no, thank you. I'm here for bread. Not cocaine. The cocaine's gone missing in Fiji. This is a hell of a story. The ZN podcast network. 40 kilograms of cocaine was intercepted by Fijian police for distribution. Street value?
Starting point is 00:02:26 40, 30 million Fijian dollars. And Fiji's, um, doing it tough at the moment. It is. A lot of, um, HIV cases. Yes, so, 1 in six. HIV's going crazy because people are blue-toothing methamphetamine, which is where someone smokes a whole bunch of methamphetamine and then you drop it to
Starting point is 00:02:44 the other phone. You, um, take blood out of the person who smoked the meth and put it straight into somebody else, which is with their blood and, uh, yeah, that's desperate, A. Causeing HIV infections. Yeah, was it one in six? in Fiji? I think so. Which is insane. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:03:00 So that drug seemed to be a massive problem there. 40 kilograms of cocaine was stored in a high court exhibit room. And there was a police investigation because of the 39 cocaine bars, seven went missing. So they're like, okay, so seven cocaine, the bricks of cocaine are gone. Yeah. Some forensic testing run on the remaining 32. It's all flour. Now it was cocaine.
Starting point is 00:03:27 It was. It was cocaine. It was tested upon interception. So when it went in... There were 39 bricks laying just over a kilogram each at a street value of $30 million. Gone. So when it went into the storage at the court, correct? It was cocaine.
Starting point is 00:03:43 It was cocaine, correct. When it came out, it was flour. Okay. Now, that's not a Jesus-Wrode-a-Wine situation. No. No one's being granted a magical ability to turn cocaine to flour or vis-a-versa. Who's been into the one supermarket in Suva? True.
Starting point is 00:04:00 And bought 40 cages of flour at once. That would be really interesting. That would be my first lead. I'd go to the supermarket. Great lead. Yep. If I was a detective. I've watched a few police shows for them.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Get some security camera footage. So, I mean, this is bad. Is it? Is it? This is bad? 30 million dollars worth of cocaine on the streets? You know, our job is to just absolutely peruse the news. I've seen this story popping up in the last like 12 hours everywhere. It's one of those funny stories that, you know, just tickles people.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Yeah, international. I mean, not so funny for Fiji because it kind of undermines the entire judicial system. Like somebody said that, the Justice Minister said it's shocking, and it kind of makes people question the process. And if you're currently in court in Fiji and they're holding on to evidence to charge you with whatever, they, you could say it's been tampered with because of how easily things are tampered with and the cocaine we're missing. Yeah, you could.
Starting point is 00:04:59 It's a brilliant story, though. It was very funny. Good Lord. Very funny. That's so bad. How they got them out? Like, so many questions. I know. Like, this could itself be like some kind of Sunday Night Theatre. Exactly, some kind of We used to say Sunday Night Theatre and now you say Netflix documentary. You do, yeah. But we used to say Sunday Night Theatre.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Because they had the quality shows, didn't they? Montana. Sunday Night Feta, sponsored by Montana wines. Yeah, back in the day. You'd crack open a box of wine. Yeah. And you'd watch a reenactment of a harrowing New Zealand made tale. That was the good times. Those were the days.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Those were the days. That was the good times. And this would have been really good boys. In fact, that's when Kay was doing the weather back in the day. The weather bulletins. That's very true. Yeah. Great to have her on board this morning with Bryn's sick.
Starting point is 00:05:41 She is. And she's actually stoked to be back behind the wheel of our news broadcast. I've been hearing, just been chatting to it. Again, I will say if you're in Hamilton, you're planning on dying. No one runs a better funeral. Play ZM's flesh, one and haley. Well, an online poll, this is American workers,
Starting point is 00:06:00 so I don't know, I feel like it would probably be the same here, judging by like talking to friends and stuff, but they polled 2,000 full-time American workers and found that half of them are career cushioning, which is when you're exploring your backup options in case your current job falls short. But I think that's, everyone.
Starting point is 00:06:22 You'd be a fool not to, right? In this day and age? You'd be kind of crazy not to be keeping your eyes open and on the horizon. Yeah, totally. Some people just have a job and that's it. They're like, I'm going, this is it, this is me. I think you've got to have something,
Starting point is 00:06:36 you've got to have a little backup plan because redundancy is the horrible R word, swings like an axe. You know? Well, and especially now with like AI and corporations downsizing and offshoring and all that kind of stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:49 So career cushioning is just, basically keeping your options open. Producer Girlies? Are we looking at other stations? We've got some backup options. There's some really funny radio shows in New Zealand, day. There's some really... Cheeky. This is cheeky.
Starting point is 00:07:04 It's a great break. Hey, you turned on our microphones. What do you want? Yeah, this is true. You asked a question. We're just honest to you, you know? We never lie. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Just some backup options. Of course. Okay. Yeah. I heard that another three-person show in this building is maybe looking for someone, you know? They might be. Might be a couple of openings there actually.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Is it? There is actually. You can both piss off. Sell you is a package deal. I'll give them a two for one. Oh my gosh. I assume we own you. Do we?
Starting point is 00:07:36 I don't know how this is worse. Do we sell you? It's like a basketball team or like a league. A league team. We could trade you. Can you trade us? We could trade you, yeah, for other producers. Do I get like a trade bonus though?
Starting point is 00:07:48 Because I feel like they make some money sometimes. Yeah. Yeah, they do. And it feels like Carlwin's the captain. So they'll be like, we'll take the captain. They're like, oh, and you have to take Shannon. They're like, well, she's pretty good. The water girl.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Yeah. So then I'm a package deal with Carwin, and it kind of devalues her. But lucky for me, I'm stuck with her. Yeah, yeah. Package deal. But I feel like this is quite normal, right? Yeah. I think so.
Starting point is 00:08:10 I think you'd be silly not too. Like your friends are working like normal jobs, because our jobs aren't normal. No. But they would 100%, you'd 100% do this, right? Just any job that pays you more. And it's also the way to climb the ladder, right? Like you can't often stay at a place. Yeah, I've got mates now who have done two bouts of gardening leave
Starting point is 00:08:27 just going from competition to competition. And, you know, they're 27 or so. That's, it's beautiful. We've done gardening leave, haven't we? For those that don't know, it's a competitive industry thing, you've got to have a stand-down period of two months or three months. Restrain of trade. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:43 But when you're on it, they call it gardening leave. And I actually did gardening. What did you do? I went to Columbia for two months, yeah. We live very different. Wild times. We live very different gardening. I've messaged you and you'd be like, I'm just in the garden.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I'm just planting the beans. Yeah, same. I was like, when are you going to start your garden, man? We've been given this leap for a specific purpose. I was in somewhat of a jungle at times. You were, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. That's kind of a garden. Gardening.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Yeah. Play ZM's Flashawn and Haley. Listen up. When did this happen? Who, like, I kind of heard that they were going to do it. And it's open up the news app last. last night. It's like, by the way, tomorrow
Starting point is 00:09:20 there's new road rules. You can't just spring those on us. Number one, children are allowed on footpaths. Before, of course, children had to walk in the gutter. Or on the road. Or on the road and dodge the cars. It led to tougher children, but at a piecey madness, they're allowed on the footpath.
Starting point is 00:09:35 It was a real problem New Zealand had with kids just playing on the road. Did your parents, I know you lived in the country, you probably didn't have white lines in the middle of the road. But did your mom and dad always say, go and play on the white line in the middle of the road? I never said that because they love me dearly. Mine always did. Stay off the road.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Stop throwing things on the road. Stop laying traps on the road. So children on footpaths, children age 12 and under, are legally allowed to ride bikes on footpaths. Whereas they weren't before? Nah. But they did? You kind of gave them a exemption because they were kids.
Starting point is 00:10:06 But now parents and caregivers may also ride with them to supervise. Oh, okay. You're allowed to ride on the footpath if you're 12 and under or you are accompanying a child that's 12 and or under. So probably best for the parent to go first. so that any cars reversing out of their driveway, hit the parent. You joke, just not.
Starting point is 00:10:23 That was when my kids used to ride bikes. I'd always like run or ride on the inside in case a car came out of the driveway that hit me first. It's like, yeah, whenever you come out of a driveway, I'm always like, oh God, slow, slow, slow. I'm always like, you'd be mortified. That's the number one reason I wouldn't ride on the footpath. It's just so much closer to driveways
Starting point is 00:10:42 and cars fly backwards out of driveways. Yeah. So two things, you're allowed to do it. And also watch if you're backing out of the driveway this morning. Yeah. E- scooters are now allowed in cycle lanes, formally allowed to be ridden in cycle lanes. Interesting, because I have ridden those in...
Starting point is 00:10:56 Kind of been accepted, right? But now it's totally formally allowed. I've got to say, though, like the... I would have thought they would have done something more on the scooters because some of those e-scooters and those e-bikes go so fast in the cycle lane, and you're just like, what the hell? Yeah, they blow past.
Starting point is 00:11:14 And sometimes people with no helmets, you're just like, you're crazy, man. You're going like 50Ks. saw someone, I won't say who, a very high profile sports person riding a line bike on their social media with one hand filming themselves. No helmet. I was like, come on, let's get a helmet on that time.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Yeah, let's get a helmet on that time. You're two precious. And God, good looking, Jesus. Oh, really? Oh, protect the brain and that beautiful face. 1.5 meter passing gap. Drivers must leave at the minimum passing gap, a 1.5 meters
Starting point is 00:11:42 when passing road users traveling in the same direction. So if you're going around someone such as cyclists, pedestrians or horse riders. Okay, one point. It's a lot. There might not be enough room. Yeah. On a skinny road.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Yeah. So you've got to wait and then overtake them. I take the dogs for a run down a country road with no footpath and on the side of the road. Cars are pretty good at slowing down and going around. But it is a bit too much when someone stops. But there's still no rule about like cyclists being four abreast going on a bloody doodly son.
Starting point is 00:12:13 And you know I'm a cyclist sometimes, a part-time cyclist. I'll just go one. I don't, I mean, I don't have any free to cycle with. But even if I did, like, just go. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah. I think cyclists do their best. They don't do it.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Some of them take the piss. I'll tell you what I really like. On a Sunday morning, I'll be out in the paddock perusing, just making sure everything's in order. And it's a nice, still, calm Sunday morning. And you can hear cyclists coming from miles away because they talk so loud. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Well, it's a real social thing. Yeah. Yeah. And they are riding like three or so. So maybe sometimes they don't hear a car because it might be an electric car and they're talking so loud. Yep. So the last time we had a new road rule coming.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Well, there's one more. There's one more. Give them way to buses. Drivers must now give way to buses leaving bus stops the road site or a bus lane on roads with the speed limit of 60Ks or less. Pass off. What? You don't want to give way to buses. Actually, it'd be fair I use buses more than I do cars.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Yeah. This is great for me. You come up for the buses and the cyclists and you are the show's cyclists and bus rider. I am. More than anybody. More than anybody. More than anybody. So those are the new, those new, those new, those.
Starting point is 00:13:18 are the new rules. I mean, buses always used to be cheeky and they had that stick array, like give way to buses or you let us in. Correct. But now you have to. Okay, so give way to buses. You've got to let the bus pull out. Yep, 1.5 metre passing gap, e-scooters and cycle lanes and kids under 12 legally allowed to ride bikes on
Starting point is 00:13:34 footpaths. The Z&M Podcast Network. Play Zatem's Fleshhorn and Haley. From the unmoderated comments section, this is the top six. Good morning. So children under 12-rater-rider ride on footpaths,
Starting point is 00:13:50 e-scooters and cycle lanes, a 1.5-meter passing gap going around people on the side of the road and giving way to buses of the four new road rules coming into effect in New Zealand today. October 1st, 2026. Remember when they changed that giveaway road rule and they said it was going to be on the first of April? And everyone was like, is this in April Fool? April Fool's joke. And they moved it a week earlier. That was 2012, the big giveaway.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Was it? Yeah. Left turning vehicles no longer had to give way to opposing right-turning vehicles. Which we were like the only country doing that. Yeah. It was always like, why am I? I'm getting here what I can just go. Here we are.
Starting point is 00:14:20 14 years later, still, you'll get to an intersection sometimes, and someone will waive you because they don't know if that's what that's supposed to do anymore. Yeah, I know. That's okay. I'll be waived through. I'll go. I'll be like, for God's sake, those are the rules, but I'll go. Top six road rules that didn't make it despite my personal efforts.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I bought these to Parliament. Okay. And whoever's in charge of New Zealand Road Rules, the New Zealand Transport Agency. Wakakotahi. Number six on the list of the top six road rules I tried to get in but didn't make it. Fanging it through an orange. Yeah. I wanted that to be official road rules.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Yeah, I think that's what orange means. Fang it through. Fang it. Get it through. Get it done. Number five on the list of the top six road rules that didn't make it despite my efforts. Driving on the footpath to get around someone who stopped. That's no. I've got an intersection where by my house, if I want to turn left, there's always a long line of traffic turning right. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:14 And there's a footpath there. I'm like, oh, I'm just going to go up on the footpath. And I'm in a Ranger. I was going to say you've got the Ranger exception rule there. I do, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And the ability to curb to go up on the side. I go, I go, whoop, and I make that noise. I do it cutesy, and then I turn left,
Starting point is 00:15:29 and I don't have to wait in the long line for everyone to turn right across traffic. Number four on the list of the top six road rules that didn't make it, despite my best efforts, being allowed a little screen time on a straight road with minimal traffic. No, I don't think that's cheek. Just like I got on Instagram notifications.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Some of those straight road, big screens and some of these news, EVs. Like people watching YouTube videos and TV shows. It's nuts. It's very, very naughty. Number three on the list of the top six road rules that didn't make it, despite my best efforts.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Being allowed to speed just a little bit if you've got takeaways that are getting cold. Yeah. Just a little... Just a little... You really got to make a call of the takeaway shops a long way from home. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:09 I'd rather just have it there, to be honest. And you know what? And leave your rubbish there. Yeah. No, clean out. Yep. Make the call. Do it better.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Number two on the list of the top six road rules that didn't make it, despite my best efforts. Letting other motorists know there's a cop around the corner with the light flash. That's still illegal, by the way. That's still very frowned upon by members of the law enforcement. I do appreciate when someone gives you a flash. You're like, thank you.
Starting point is 00:16:32 And you always panic that you're speeding, even though you're definitely not speeding. I know, yeah, you go 95, but you still break. Or yeah, whenever there's a cop on the side of the motorway on the way home from work, everyone, when they say it pumps the brakes regardless of how fast they're going. Yeah. It's 80K zone, though.
Starting point is 00:16:45 We're going 75. They're still hit the brake. because they just freak out. It's the automatic reaction. It's seeing a cop. And number one on the list of the top six road rules. It didn't make it despite my best efforts. Giving a car that hasn't moved at the green light, a little nudge.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Oh, I'll give them a toot. I'm sick of that. Yeah, but you're in a ranger. Give them a little nudge. Give them a little ranger nudge. You've got ball bars. Do you have ball bars? No, no ball bars.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Oh, okay. No ball bars. We'd like some ball bars, though. Yeah, just a little nudge. Yeah. I think if you hit a bull, I reckon the bull go up and over the ball bars. Oh, 100%. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Australians call them rhubars. They hit the kangaroos. That is today's top six. The ZM Podcast Network, play ZM's flesh, one and Haley. It was the start of the week. We talked about the New York Times. Top 100 TV shows of the 21st century.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Number one on that list. Was Breaking Bad. It was Breaking Bad. Great list, by the way. You can print out the graphic and just cross out all the shows on it. stars of the TV show Breaking Bad. I come into New Zealand. They're bringing a live show to New Zealand. It's happening next January the 28th.
Starting point is 00:17:56 And it's happening at the International Convention Centre in the Taipei Theatre, which I'm just looking at here. Huge amount of seats. I didn't know the... It's a huge auditorium. Yeah, it's massive. We've been in there for an event, haven't we? There's a stage, the floor, the teared about...
Starting point is 00:18:10 So you can sit on the floor, the tiered, and then the balcony. So there's three different sections. Now, how much a ticket? tickety-wickedies for this. I'll give it a red-hot Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, Superstar, indeed. VIP meet and Greed package, and also the best seats in the house.
Starting point is 00:18:28 To meet Brian Cranston and Aaron Poole. Which, by the way, you will never get the opportunity to do. $750. Wow. Per seat. Okay, wow. Per seat. Although they do love, because I follow them on Instagram,
Starting point is 00:18:42 they do love a, because they've got a tequila brand. I'm wondering if this dos homies. This dos ombres is, this is sort of like a launch in New Zealand of dos ombres as well, because I haven't seen that here of you. I love a tequila. No, I mean, I don't drink a lot of it. I've had the rocks tequila. I've had Kendall Jenner's tequila.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I haven't had their tequila. That's great. I've got to put somewhat of a bottle of that. Every time you and Haley come to my house, it goes down. Definitely, we have a little one of those. Yep, I know. So tickets start. The lowest price is $129 and that's right up the back.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Yep. And then $750 is the most expensive. But, like, when... If that is your favorite show, and it is so many people's favorite show. Yeah. And you love these... I mean, Brian Cranston is an incredible actor. When are you ever going to get the chance to, like, meet them?
Starting point is 00:19:31 You just wouldn't. Yeah, I don't know. Okay, so I put the link to the concert thing in AI, and I said, and I do apologize because this is use some water. Okay. I'll apologize to everybody, but I don't have the mental capacity to work it out. I said,
Starting point is 00:19:46 can you tell me, get the data out of this link, tell me how much this will make. Yeah. So it's a 2,852 seating capacity at the Pipea Theatre. And it averaged out the amount of seats,
Starting point is 00:20:01 the meat and greets are premium, the A, B, C reserves, all at different price. $589,000. Oh, wow. Okay. $519,000. Yeah, but you've got to pay for the venue.
Starting point is 00:20:10 You've got to pay for the promoter. It says. That's what it says. Yep. It says take out. But venue hire production, flights and marketing all comes out. So they'll be making something. Yeah, well, and so what's the show about?
Starting point is 00:20:21 It's about Breaking Bad. It's about Breaking Bad, yeah. Right, and they just talk about filming it. They talk about their time on Breaking Bad, and they film it. They haven't done, he's going to be through New Zealand and Australia. Okay, yeah. Is it like a kind of a test? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Yeah, it also sounds like a great way to get a whole. A lot of celebrities do this don't, and they come to Australia or New Zealand in January December. A tax-ded up. deductible summer holiday. Completely tax deductible holiday. Well, yeah, tickets are, I'm assuming, on sale soon, because this was just announced yesterday.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Do you know, yeah. They're on sale now. I think you can buy them now. Oh, you can, I can click on that. I could click on them to buy them now. Okay. I was thinking one of them had spent some time in New Zealand. I remember Aaron Paul was here. He filmed a sci-fi move over here in 2020.
Starting point is 00:21:04 That's right. And he was spotted in and around Auckland at the time, so maybe he's gone home to, you know, rave reviews to bribe reviews about the country. We've got to go. He's like, let's make this a tattoo. tax deductible truck. Play ZM.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Fletch for them. It's so silly, silly, silly that is silly little poll today is how would you describe your own handwriting? Angelina Joel Lee has left a thank you note for somebody. Like my nana had, what do they call it? Like cursive, like it's all linked?
Starting point is 00:21:50 This isn't even... This is illegible. This looks like, you know, in a movie when there's a lie detector and the needle's like... Or like a heart rate. monitor and you see it go, blip, yeah,
Starting point is 00:22:02 like, it just looks, like nobody can read this. No. And there was always, before you got your prescriptions at, at the doctor,
Starting point is 00:22:10 like printed out, that always right. And the joke was, the pharmacists could never read the doctor's handwriting. Yeah. You could never see what they were. Because they're just like,
Starting point is 00:22:18 bl bl blud, yeah. And the signature, it was doctor's handwriting. It's worse than doctors handwriting. This is this, I don't know. I think the producer girls,
Starting point is 00:22:25 you sort of like, worked it out. You deciphered the code, eh? What, like Angelina Jolie was saying. Oh. She's on the phone out there, so we're just going to have Shannon in.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Oh, you are there. You are there. You could read it. Yeah. I don't have it in front of me, but yes. But we've just decided that you've never seen our handwriting. No. So we've brought it in.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Okay. Shannon's got two post-it notes here. High-fletch, you're really cool. Vaughn isn't though. Thank you. And then the other one says, high-fletch, you're really cool. Vaughn isn't though. Do we have to guess whose is whose?
Starting point is 00:22:58 Shannon's is the top one. That would be my. my guess. Well, they're both very similar. Very nice handwriting. They're both like, you're like handwriting twins. When I was in school, I decided I needed to be unique, so I started doing my A's the cool way.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Yeah, me too. I do the F's the fun calligraphy way and my X's are fun. I do eight's two circles. Me too. No, you're peop in too. We've talked about that previously. If I do it as an infinity sign, it's never even. Both really good handwriting.
Starting point is 00:23:26 I'd say Bourne has the most terrible handwriting of all of us. It's just such good printing. If I take my time, if I print, I got a nice handwriting, but if I'm in a hurry, illegible. The best on the show, I will say, is Haley. Yeah, she's got great. She has really good handwriting.
Starting point is 00:23:40 And because I have your guys' signature on file. I mentioned this to you yesterday, and you're a bit shocked. Yeah. But Haley's signature is great. And Shannon said, no, don't worry, I've got it on file. And I was like, what? It's your fraud purposes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:53 You've got our signatures as digital copies. I made a vector file, so I've genuinely got your signatures. Fraud vector file. I use it quite often. Okay, fantastic. I'll just be like from Fletchhorn and Haley signature. They would explain that mortgage I didn't know that I had. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Thank you for that. Did you not know you bought stocks in Meth Manor? I did not know that now. Wow. You're a slum lord now. Brilliant. Cool. Okay, so these were the questions we asked for Ciciladol.
Starting point is 00:24:20 How would you describe your handwriting? Great, average or bad? Average at 57%. That's how averages work. Yeah. 57%. 25% said great, 19% said bad. Hannah said if I'm using my teacher handwriting,
Starting point is 00:24:35 it's really good, it's amazing. It needs to be legible for the children. But if I'm making notes for myself, atrocious. Yeah, if you're writing quickly and it's a quick note, yeah, terrible. Bad, terrible. I was left-handed, but I smashed my wrist, says Mason,
Starting point is 00:24:48 so I learned to write with my right hand. Then proceeded to have that so badly broken it required reconstruction. As a result between the nerve damage and the hardware in my hand, it can collapse as I right or break glasses when I pick them up. It's called strong hand. Oh my God. Choke me.
Starting point is 00:25:07 With your other hand. Choke me with your weak hand. Choke me with your weak hand. Don't crush me with the glass crushing hand. Do not use the glass crushing hand. Yeah. Hannah said, look, I'm left handed and I'm trying my best. That's all we can ask.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Yeah. I was the first in my class to graduate from pencil to pen. Oh. Everyone loves a card from me because they love my hands. Handwriting. Do you remember we worked with that girl who was a human printer? Rachel. Rachel.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Oh, my God. The most incredible handwriting. My messenger actually and just ask her how handwriting is. Is it creepy? Well, no, because it's a fair call because we've all gone to shit, haven't we? Because we're typing so much. Typing. I mean, my spelling's got, my spelling used to be pretty good.
Starting point is 00:25:51 My spelling's bad now because I rely on the red squiggly line. I know. You just auto-correct. I know. Yeah. Founder, Rachel, how's the handwriting? Just talking on air about your handwriting. It's brilliant.
Starting point is 00:26:05 She'll love that. We want you to know we haven't forgotten how great it was. Yep. To this day, we'll always remember that handwriting. Great handwriting. It was like a font. It was like a Microsoft Word font. It was.
Starting point is 00:26:20 There we go. Just sent that through. Ladies and gentlemen, stay tuned. Earl said, I'm an all-caps guy. If I write in lowercase, it's unreadable. Yeah, I like writing in words. caps. It does make it easier to read. It takes longer though. It does. Cameron, slightly better than my 8 year old. Not even joking. We did the comparison the other day.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Rachel said, I'm a teacher and I appreciate beautiful handwriting. Yeah. My five-year-old has need a handwriting than me, says Michael. Only a doctor could decipher my scribbles. Yep. Pippa says, it's amazing when I try. Otherwise, it's terrible. So I've got to take my time. Otherwise, it's an atrocious mess. So for still little poll, we asked, how would you describe your own handwriting? Fifty-seven percent of you said, Average. The ZM Podcast Network. Annie?
Starting point is 00:27:03 Do we say Annie or Ann Hathaway? She wants to be called Annie, so let's go with Annie. It's called Verity. You must have questions. Why can't your wife finish her book series? You really want to know? This is Verity. Doctors don't think she'll ever walk or talk again.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Sounds like they could do with some CRC. Yeah, God. It's just creaky. Quite creaky. Creaky door, freaky floorboard. I have no idea what this movie is about. It sounds very creaky. Maybe it's about pirates.
Starting point is 00:27:39 We cross our producer girlies who have seen the movie ahead of its release today. Any galleons? Any old pirate galleons? No, no pirates, no galleons. Not for me then. It's based off of the book by Colleen Hoover called Verity. Verity is a massive author. And for some reason, her publishers are like,
Starting point is 00:27:59 oh, she can't finish her book series that she owes us because we've paid her all this money. and they find Loen, who is not as famous at all, of a writer, and are like, we'll pay you a bunch of money for you to write them with her. And she agrees to go along and live with them to help her write this book, except that Verity is basically incapacitated. Is that the right word? Can't really move or talk or do anything? Can you say vegetable?
Starting point is 00:28:28 Oh, I wouldn't. No, I would have done it now. I've done it. Oh my God. He's cancelled. Oh, Jesus. Right. Kind of more like locked in syndrome or something?
Starting point is 00:28:37 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay. I'd just move on, Vaughn. Can you say vegetable in 2020? No, no, no. Yes, you can say vegetable in 226 people. Use both the standard three syllable, the syllable, vegetable and the four syllable vegetable.
Starting point is 00:28:53 You don't say vegetable. It's not vegetable. No, it says vegetable. Oh, my God. Anyway. Okay. So she's not a vegetative. That's from that website.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Corriss says it's to a vegetable and vegetable. Okay, so 9-6-96, do you say three-syllable vegetable or four- syllable vegetable? Vegetable. Vegetable. It's like people that say chimney. It's chimney. Chimony. Chimmy.
Starting point is 00:29:18 It's chimney. It's chimney. Chiru. Chim-chim-chiru. But anyways, I guess the question is, is she actually incapacitated? Or is she pretending? Yeah. Does this movie suck?
Starting point is 00:29:30 No, I really liked it. For a book adaption, it's very good, I think. Right, because is your girlfriend anti-Colene Hover? She's anti-Kollehan Hover. Is she? Look, a lot of the world is somewhat anti-Coling-Hover. What did she do? Because I learn all about this chicklet.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Yep, it's what we call it, this literature for chicks. Chicklet, yes, Fletch, careful. She's not the one that came out against Peter Malark in the Hunger Games, is she? No, that's not. Ellie Hazelwood came out and said Peter Malak was a useless character and all the Peter Fang girls lost their mind. Which one said, You don't need to pee after sex.
Starting point is 00:30:04 Wait what? A female once said, you should always pee after sex. Always pee after sex. That's how you get a UTI. That's the body's flushing out. As I'm crazy, Colleen Hovers, she just went on this big rampage
Starting point is 00:30:16 and kept saying vegetable. Did she say it's the three-syllible vegetable or the four-syllable vegetable? No, some people just take umbrage with how she writes certain DV situations. Right. To mess in the islands.
Starting point is 00:30:29 This movie, though, Sorry, can you not say that either? No, it's just I wouldn't have. No one knows what DV is you're speaking. I only know this because of all the chicklet. Yeah, that you read. What female author said you don't need to pee after sex. But it is.
Starting point is 00:30:44 So if you're going along to the, if you liked the book, go along to the movie. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you haven't read the book, don't worry about it. Just go see the movie and just let it happen. They're all hot. So that also helps. For millennials that grew up with Josh Hartner, he's back hot. He is kind of hot in this.
Starting point is 00:31:01 Yeah. Because he kind of went away for a bit. And then do you remember he appeared in Oppenheimer? I still haven't seen Oppenheimer. Oh, it's a fantastic movie. I just don't have a spare eight hours. Yeah, we're three. It feels like eight, though.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Yeah, I hadn't read the book or even seen the trailer. I went in blind. I did for some reason. Can't say that. I can. I'm actually legally blind. Can confirm. I'm past the...
Starting point is 00:31:25 How do you drive? She doesn't. She doesn't anymore. I were corrective. Like, I'm legally blind, it's corrective. Okay. Anyway, I had an...
Starting point is 00:31:33 Hell of a movie starring Reese Withersprone. Yeah. Where she's just driving down the motorway, scratching her car along. That's me when I try to drive, so. She gets into a bad accident, she becomes incapacitated. Some would say, not me, of course, in 2026 that she's a vegetable. Vegetable. Vegetable.
Starting point is 00:31:51 But for some reason, I thought Verity was like a love triangle about like a bookstore. I thought it was a rom-com. So then it started being like, eager, eager vibes. and I was freaking out. I heard the creaking. Yeah, Shannon jumped many times. I swelled. Someone messaged in, they didn't think Anne Hathaway could make as many movies,
Starting point is 00:32:09 but when Anne have a will, Ann Havill. That's good stuff. In fact, we've done text of the week? No, that's it. Five to the week. You got that one. Yeah, we'll hook you up. Text of the Week and animates voucher-making Happy Happened for Pets.
Starting point is 00:32:24 The Z&M Podcast Network. Play Z&M's Flashhorn and Havent. What are you still hiding from your parents, even as an adult, whether it's a tattoo or something? Sexuality. Yeah, perhaps. Sure, anything. The reason we're talking about is a girlie's, we saw a video online of a girlie having a family photo and she smiles for the family photo and this piercing up under the lip here. I think it's called a smiley.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Oh, that would hurt like hell, right? I just think it would be annoying. You know, annoying it is having something stuck in your teeth or in your mouth. Everything feels massive. Like a slight change to a tooth feels massive. Yep. So, by the by, she's got that piercing, but her family don't know about it. They're anti, they're anti that sort of piercing.
Starting point is 00:33:06 And she smiles and it pops out, so forever captured in a family photo. And what a way to tell your family you have a mouth-based piercing? But some, I don't know, like some older parents are a little, like, conservative when it comes to tattoos and things like that. Whether you're hiding a relationship from your parents, I don't know, a purchase still to this. It's just weird. Like, people are adults, but they still feel the need to... Oh. Like, still feel like their kids and they can't tell their parents.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Yeah, a purchase is interesting. Hey, you're an adult earning adult money, but your parent, you're still worried about telling your parents, you've purchased something. Well, like, I knew someone that didn't tell their parents had a motorbike because their parents are like, you're not bloody riding that dangerous. Totally. Totally fair enough. Yeah, okay, well, whatever it is, we'd love to hear from you now. 0800 at Amazon number.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Text through to the studio, 9-696. What are you still hiding from your parents? So we don't know what you're currently hiding from your parents. Somebody said, I'm continuing to hide from my parents that I've smoked Mary Jane for 17 years. That will... I bet you turn up... I hope they'll never find out. I bet you turn up to a family dinner or a Christmas reeking of it and you just don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:12 And you demolish all the scorched almonds and all your dinner and you have pod. The signs are there. Evulver. No, the Elvvvua is the dangly bit. The ovulva is the punching bag at the back of the throat. Um, 5-6-6. That's the ol'vulver, isn't it? I don't know what the bit is.
Starting point is 00:34:33 I'm googling, I'm googling. You get the lip. You get the thing on the lip. Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting. The, it's the lip tie. The labial frenulum. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Frenulum, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Frenulum, yes. No, it is. It's the labial frenulum. No, no, no, no, I don't think we say labia. Labial. Labial. It's the small bowl. Is labial just... Of soft tissue.
Starting point is 00:34:58 It connects. the upper lip to the center of your upper gum. Oh, I apologize, that is the labial. So she had a piercing in her labial frenulum. Labial is an adjective that is relating to her situated near involving the lips or any of the... Any of the... Any of the...
Starting point is 00:35:13 All of the above. All of the lips. Okay, that's... Well, now we know. The frenulum is... Thank you everybody that's messaging in. Yes, it's called the labial frenulum. Yeah, people are missing out the labial.
Starting point is 00:35:22 It's the labial frenulum, thank you. Alex has just said, where's Haylor? Did you put a screwdriver in some electrics again? No. She's on assignment. She's on assignment. She's on assignment. Yeah, details coming. What are you hiding from your parents, 9-6-96, 9-6, 800 dials at M,
Starting point is 00:35:38 I've got a tattoo on my ass cheek that I've never told them about. They'll never see my ass now that I'm an adult, so. They might. Unless you end up in hospital after a carnage. And you're vegetable. And you're vegetable, and they have to wipe your bum, and then they're like, oh. Yeah. Cat will be out of the bag.
Starting point is 00:35:53 We'll keep your text coming in. We're talking about what you're hiding from your parents. A lip piercing's been exposed in a family photo. So we're asking you what might be exposed in a family photo. My husband didn't tell his parents that he had tattoos for years and years and years until our wedding day when he had to wear a shirt that had short sleeves. And they saw them all. Must have had the old armed hats.
Starting point is 00:36:12 Like, come on, you're getting married. You're a grown man. Yeah. Much to my parents' disappointment, I frequently get tattoos. I usually cover it up for a month or so, so that when they eventually see it, it's not brand new. And they think I must have had it for ages. This has worked for the last eight tattoos.
Starting point is 00:36:26 I mean, you think it has. They're probably like, oh, God, she's got a dollar one. They won't say it in front of you, when they're... Oh my God, she's got another one. How did your parents take your first tattoo? No, they were all good. Yeah. They knew.
Starting point is 00:36:39 They're like, he's been through enough. They were like, ah, let him have it. Let him have it. I've been fostering, they say, in speech marks, a cat for four months that my parents are aware of. Little do they know. I already own three other cats. Why do you...
Starting point is 00:36:52 And they say fostering, like... Yeah. It's not leaving. No, they never. They never leave. Four cats. And I bet they still ask about the grandkids. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:02 What are we going to get... Oh, I know the cat. Wonderful. When are we going to get some grandkids? My parents don't know that I'm back with my ex that they hate. They don't like what he does for work. I messaged this back. I said, what does he do for work?
Starting point is 00:37:14 He's a male midnight ballerina. Oh. What does that mean? Like a stripper? Does that what it means? Unless he's ballet on at midnight. I'm unsure. It's a hell of a time to go to ballet.
Starting point is 00:37:25 I'd be nodding off. because the music's always quite nice. It's quite relaxing. I'm 61 of my family don't know about my vaping, drinking weed or party extras. Oh, wow, okay. Is this a new, is this a recent? Living life.
Starting point is 00:37:38 And seven of my eight tattoos, they don't know about. I purchased a new car three months ago. My parents have no clue that I've purchased a new car. It's a bit like, why do you tell them? Are they not telling them because the parents are going to want rides places? Maybe. Or they'll just be like, that's a bloody, silly waste. the money. Yeah. Get something
Starting point is 00:37:58 sensible. You do need. Well, yeah, that also 639 depends on what kind of car it is, isn't it? Yeah. Who's the message that in? So there we go. People still keeping lots of secrets from parents. The Fletch morning, Haley, big pod. Hey, you on the phone, a better king guess your mum's name.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Well, time for better king guess your mum's name. Haley's away. Today, she's back with us tomorrow. But I'd say Haley's probably got a better memory that maybe you've had a stellar year guessing mum's names. It would be interesting to go back through the times we've done it this year.
Starting point is 00:38:34 I don't know if there are any, but I can guess your mum's name train spotters out there, but I feel like you're at like 80%. Yeah, I don't know. 90% mum's name. I don't. I don't get too caught up in the numbers. You don't.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Your spirit can get lost in the numbers. Right. But there is something to be said numbers-wise about the magic of three. You know, people will always say there's something magic about the number three and there's only two of us here today. Oh, so you're saying that right, you're saying that we might not be able to get a psychic connection. Maybe not. Well, Sophie joins us to play this morning. Good morning, Sophie. Morning. Welcome to bed, I can guess your mom's name. Morning. Sorry, excuse my voice. I'm a little
Starting point is 00:39:13 bit sick. Oh, that's okay. Oh, gosh. Got that change of season cold. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think I think it works fair, to be honest. Oh, you reckon? Sounds good. Husky voice. Yeah, okay. Good work for Yeah, Sophie, Vaughan's going to ask you five questions about your mum and then have 15 seconds to try and guess her name. If he does that, it's 100 bucks. I will ask you, I'm just going to take my shoes off, to let us in a harmonising hum. Okay, just so we can get a connection.
Starting point is 00:39:38 Yeah. Okay, ready? Yep, yeah. That felt pretty good, though. It felt good, even though Haley's not here. I felt good. I am taking listener suggestions on the text machine 9696. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:55 For what, Sophie's mom. Unless you know, Sophie, then you're not allowed to play. Please don't. Please don't. Don't ruin it. Okay, first question for you. First question is, what's mum's
Starting point is 00:40:03 favourite vegetable? Oh, she likes all vegetables. Yeah. I reckon you'd go like a broccoli, a carrot. She's an all-vegetable lady.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Very healthy. She's a very healthy. Very healthy. Lorraine. Lorraine. Well, I've got to put our mum's names. Yep.

Starting point is 00:41:24 Just a bit younger than my mum I've already got my mum's name on the list but that is your Susan's. Okay. You've got down Karen? Have you got down Karen? Yep. Always the first.
Starting point is 00:41:34 Well, there's Dame Susan Devoie. She was fit, wasn't she? She was a fit mum. Yep, yep. She played squash. Got a Karen there. I might go a Deb. A Debbie or a Deborah.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Okay. I know a Deb who does the spin classes with me from work here. She keeps it fit. Oh, does she? Yeah. Are you allowed to say that? Debbie loves it. That feels like a HR violation.
Starting point is 00:41:53 I didn't, I didn't mean it like that. Yeah. Well, that's the problem. Well, I guess I'll... I'll go upstairs today then. Oh, you're going to see. I think Frana's overseas. I think she's overseas.
Starting point is 00:42:02 Is she ever... Is it an appropriate that I know that H.R.'s overseas? Maybe. Is it inappropriate the way that you just looked at me, longingly in the eyes? Yes. Yeah. No doubt about that.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Is mum, my next question... I know, I might put a Wendy on the list, actually. We're in right in Wendy territory there. Wendy, okay. Is mum political or not? Oh, overly. Not overly. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:27 What does that give you? Well, I was going to put down some political names. I was going to put down in Judith. I was going to put down to Helen. Oh, yeah, like Helen Clark. Yeah, right. Judith, uh, Talo for Collins. Yep.
Starting point is 00:42:39 I was going to go, a Ruth. She's retired. You can't call her that. Ruth Richardson of course. Oh, yeah, Ruth. Yeah, good, good, good. Jenny, as in the ship. And May Coffin. I might put that.

Starting point is 00:43:01 But does mum play any sports? Before she said she was for, this is my fourth question. Or did she play sport? Yeah, she was into badminton and she likes to run. She's a runner and a badminton player. This is a fit mom.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Barbara. Barbara. Barbara Kendall. Yeah, exactly. Okay. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. Mary, mother of Jesus.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Yeah. Always a safe bet. Always a safe bet to have a Mary Mother of Christ in there. I go a Heather. Oh, yeah, good. I don't mean to be inappropriate to any Heather's listening, but they're always pretty snatched. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Great. You can't see that. Theathers are keeping it snatched. If you're a Heather and you're keeping it snatched, congratulations in 9-6-9-6. Okay. My final question is, does mom have any pets? No.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Not anymore. Love them, but yeah, not at the world. She loved them. Well, she left so heartbroken by the last loss of a pet that she couldn't bring herself to get another one. She moved to an apartment, and I guess she didn't want, like, you know, feels a bit cruel having one in an apartment where she's away a lot.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Yeah, so is it cruel to have a cat in an apartment where you're away a lot? No. Not at all. Not at all. No, not like that. She would have preferred a dog, and she feels like it's cruel having a dog. Okay. Do you know who lived in apartments, the cast of Seinfeld and Friends?
Starting point is 00:44:21 Okay. Phoebe. Phoebe. Put down a Phoebe. A Rachel. Yeah. What was... Monica.
Starting point is 00:44:27 What was the Seinfeld ladies' name? Julie Louise Drafus. Elaine. Elaine. Elaine. You put down Elaine. They lived in apartments, didn't they? Yeah, they did.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Who else lived in apartments? Everybody. Everybody. Everybody that was on TV in the 90s lived in some form of apartment. Okay. Are you ready? I think if it's not there, it's not going to be. Okay, well, Sophie, Vaughan's got 15 seconds to try and guess your mum's name.
Starting point is 00:44:50 If you hear it, yell out. Stop! That's my mum's name. Your time starts now. Karen, Christine, Bev, Patsy, Lorraine, Tracy, Joanna, Bernadette, Bernice, Fiona, Susan, Debbie, Joe, Wendy, Judith, Helen, Ruth, Jenny, Chloe, Barbara, Mary, Heather. I can do it all the end of my list. Phoebe, Rachel, Monica, and Elaine, it's not on there. Oh, no!
Starting point is 00:45:12 What? No! Sophie, what's mum's name? It's Joelle. Joelle. He had a Joe and a Joanna, but not a Joelle. Yeah. We can't accept that.
Starting point is 00:45:29 I thought maybe if you'd ask me what his sibling's name was, you would have picked up on the French vibe, but you didn't ask. Oh, okay, what are the siblings called? Nicole. Nicole. Are they actually French? Yeah. That's why I didn't get it.
Starting point is 00:45:41 I don't have a spiritual connection to the French. Because of the Rainbow Warrior. France has blocked us from spiritual connections as well. Yeah, France, because it's EU. It's EU. I'm outside the EU. Yeah. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:45:53 Sophie, that's a real bummer, isn't it? It's a real bummer because of the Rainbow Warrior. Yeah, which we have... And the nuclear testing and the coral atolls of the Pacific. Yeah, that's the main reason for the... Bad people. Bad people. Bad people.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Bad, naughty people. But hot, having just been in Paris, they're very attractive people, Sophie. Well, unfortunately, Sophie, you missed out for a bit I can guess your mum's name, but let's blame French mum for that. Yeah, well, I'm just going to check. I can believe... I asked everybody. to play on the text machine and then completely forgot to even check it. Did anybody even
Starting point is 00:46:27 texting? There's lots of Joe there's Jeannel. Oh. Yeah, some close with the Joe bit. Yeah, someone said Jenny Joe Jane. Someone's on the Jaybus there. Okay, so they were getting a psychic... They might be allowed into the EU. They might have an EU passport.
Starting point is 00:46:43 They might have an Irish ancestry. Well, a real loss for you, Vaughan, this year in 2026. I'm feeling that. With a bit I can guess your mum's name. But Sophie, I feel like you haven't won $100 for you're still happy to get one over the old smithy. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Congratulations. The kids have been dying for me to do it, and they just wanted to see him be stump. They wanted children praying for my downfall? Yeah, they were. They're so French of them. The Z&M Podcast Network. Bring in our Swifties.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Swifties. Swifties. Swifties. We're bringing in our Swifties. Sorry, we was talking to HR. We was talking to HR. I've made a joke and she left and I said Oh I think that didn't land
Starting point is 00:47:26 And we might actually have to have a meeting now Right We were making fun You were making fun with her And then as she left I said Aha and she called you talent And I said well they have none And I was doing a bit of banter
Starting point is 00:47:38 And then she left Yes actually that's actually just send an email to HR That's quite hurtful Vorn You have no talent Well the study has looked at Taylor Swift fans You are Taylor Swift fans Just a quick hell are we feeling Taylor's for fans
Starting point is 00:47:53 after the latest release? Happy? I feel like she got a bit roasted for the after this release. People just need to grow up and have some fun. You know, let her have a little fun bob. Let her scream from the rooftop that she's married just because you're not. Just, yeah, just don't take things too seriously.
Starting point is 00:48:09 Yeah, I just like having fun. I just like all kinds of like, we're just having a laugh. It's not, yeah, man, it's not lurically incredible. Of course not. Right. But if she put out a song and it was just farts, you'd be like, oh, she's just expressing She's an IBS girlie too. Famously she put out,
Starting point is 00:48:27 accidentally put out a minute of like silence on Apple iTunes like way back in the day and it went like viral. Yeah. See, exactly. Okay. We can. Not me, but them. Okay, Taylor Swift fans will defend her
Starting point is 00:48:38 till the cows come home. And a study has found that Taylor Swift fans lower their climate concerns to justify Taylor Swift's carbon footprint. Because you know, famously the jokes about she was taking at her private jet down the aisle of her wedding. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:53 And there were all those memes with her, which were very funny. And, you know, she does fly a lot all over the place. But you would, if you were that rich, like you wouldn't. But do you, would you justify her carbon footprint? Look, I think the thing is that, yes, it's terrible for the environment, but she's not the only celebrity that does this. And also, the risk that she brings to any commercial flight, right?
Starting point is 00:49:18 Like, there are awful things that happen on flights. You wouldn't want someone to. Target her plane. The news this morning about this fly Dubai flight where the pilot stabbed the co-pilot, the plane landed.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Now I want to stab co-pilot but it's Microsoft co-pilot because it's the worst AI around. Yeah, it is. But I mean, that was really funny. That was so good.
Starting point is 00:49:38 That's one for the office workers. That's one for the office work. Brother, you literally asked us how to open teams today. I want to open teams. I said I want to send a message. I said I want a message, I want to send a message to the team.
Starting point is 00:49:49 But no, I know, well, tell me how to open Microsoft Teams. Yeah, don't use that. Nobody uses that. Everybody uses it. Do you know everybody uses it? Do they?
Starting point is 00:49:57 It's crazy. It's crazy. Talentless, I'm telling you. I accidentally opened Microsoft Teams for a not work-related meeting. And I had all these messages from work. I was like, ugh. And I shut it immediately.
Starting point is 00:50:08 I do that thing when I get to work every morning. I control all and delete. Yeah. See you later. It's so good. I'm doing my part. I don't want those on a data source center. I don't want to be using water?
Starting point is 00:50:16 No. I'm reading emails are using water? I don't want to create carbon dioxide. Exactly. Well, okay. Point taken, but she does use a lot of carbon dots. Oh, she absolutely does.
Starting point is 00:50:26 Her carbon footprint's big, but yeah, okay, well... Still as Trump's, you know. Yeah, he's got the bloody... Two of my favourite people. The ZDM Podcast Network. ZM's Fletchfone and Haley. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day. I do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do.
Starting point is 00:50:58 It's Shipwreck week here at Factor the Day, and Factor the Days, of course. Brought you find people by St. Pierre's, today's sushi of the day, has eight pieces of California roll for $8.40. Now, I have memorized what day of the week is what sushi thing, but then I thought today was Friday, and just then I had a panic, and I thought it was Wednesday, but it's Thursday. Okay, great. Which is California Roll Day.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Okay, great. All right. Let me tell you, it's Shipwreck week here at Factor the Day, and I want to tell you about the General Grant. This is a New Zealand shipwreck. How many shipwrecks do you reckon we have in New Zealand? That's a really good question I don't have an answer for. Because, you know, do you remember the famous McHulomentov?
Starting point is 00:51:37 Is that in the sounds? Yes, the Russian cruise ship. Yes, and it sunk. And it was rescued by another. Yeah, but you can dive around it and stuff like it. Who was on that? The guy that we talked to, the lawyer for making a murderer, the Netflix.
Starting point is 00:51:50 show. That's right. And we spoke to him and he was like, he was actually in New Zealand on that cruise ship that sunk and we were like, why? Was he on the shrink? Was he on the one that sunk? Was he on the rescue ship? I don't know. I think he was on the one that. Oh, was he? Well, I don't know. Anyway, that guy, uh, Peter, was it Peter? Someone Avery? No. What was his name? Stephen Avery? The guy in making murder, still in prison. Still in prison. Yeah, and that other guy, too, the Brandon Dassy or whatever. That was a great true crime show. If you haven't seen that. Ten years ago, too. Ten years ago. that on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:52:20 New Zealand has recorded more than 2,300 shipwrecks and it's marine and fresh water areas since the 1790s. Why so many wrecks? Dangerous Coastline. In the early days. The Manslepour and Lighthouses were rare.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Oh, now it's given me a list of famous ones, but I want to talk about this one. I want to talk to you about the General Grant. It was a three-mastered American ship and it had been in Melbourne and it was heading back. It left Melbourne and it was heading
Starting point is 00:52:45 towards London, but it was going our way. Okay. It was going From Melbourne, under New Zealand, it was going to go across the Pacific and then up. Under South America. Under South America. That's a dangerous way.
Starting point is 00:52:57 That's a very dangerous way. It must have been the time of the year or something because otherwise you'd go around South Africa, wouldn't you? Yeah. Maybe the Indian Ocean was having a turbulent time. The General Grant was a three-masted American shipment and left Melbourne on the 4th of May, 1866 bound for London. It was carrying wool, skins. And if you know anything about Australia or in 1866. Kangaroos.
Starting point is 00:53:16 And around Melbourne, gold. Oh. along with passengers heading home from the Australian goldfields, the ones that had been working there. So 83 people were on board. Now, this is where it all started going badly, because the crew, it is noted, before the ship left the dock, the rats got off.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Oh, apparently. Apparently it said to be a sign of doom. The rats all get off at a port. It's like rats have got ESPN, so they watch sports and they know what's going to happen. Okay. And so it's just like folklore that they actually all got off. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:47 And then it's set sail. 7 p.m. on the 13th of May, the Auckland Islands were dead ahead. And at 1pm the ship just crashed straight bow first into the cliffs. And then I drifted along them, getting smashed against, and then dragged into a large sea cave, where then apparently its mast hit the cave roof so it couldn't get out. It was stuck. Oh.
Starting point is 00:54:06 And there wasn't a storm, apparently. The wind had died down and the currents were carrying the ship in. Now, the tide rose and the swell rose, and it smashed, the mast was going smash, mash, mash, mash, until the mast smashed through the bottom of the boat. Oh, okay. flooded the hole and then the ship sank on the 14th of May. 68 people drown, including a woman and children.
Starting point is 00:54:25 There was only 15 survivors, 14 men and one woman, Mary Ann Jule. She was there with her husband. They lived on the Auckland Islands, which is 465 kilometres south of Bluff. So if you were to do a comparison, 465 kilometres above Bluffers Christchurch. Oh, wow. So that amount again south of the bottom of the mainland, main south island. and they lived there for they lived there for 15 months, I think, surviving. No, that's, yes.
Starting point is 00:54:56 They lived there for a long time living off seabirds, eggs and seals. They also made clothes out of seals. Here's a photo of Joseph. Oh, don't tell Doc. They don't like it when you mess with the seals. That's a photo of them when they, Mary Ann and Joseph got back to shore. That's the clothes they made out of seal. They looked like they were in world of wearable arts.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Yeah, yeah. They posed for the, when it goes. But okay, so what happens to all? the gold. Yes. Now, how much gold was on board? 2,500 ounces officially by the manifest. That is 70 kilograms of gold with a value today of $18.4 million New Zealand dollars.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Where is it? It's still down there somewhere. By the way, they believe the gold on the manifest was only some of the gold on board. People wonder at the gold, there was mail on board. That had gold in it. People sent a gold home. It was also been taken as a tax dodge because when you came back with gold, you'd be taxed on the gold.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Yeah. And they say there was nine tons of zinc ballast on board, and they think some of that might have also been gold. And the miners who worked on it, there was a lot of, at the time, people would hide gold when they were coming off the gold fields. They were working for other people. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:03 They had it stitched into their clothing. Right. So there have been eight expeditions who have searched for the ship. They've found things, but they've never found the gold. And... But wait, you said it got stuck in the cave. They got stuck in a sea cave. Now this is the thing.
Starting point is 00:56:17 They don't know exactly what sea cave. In Auckland Island is surrounded by cliffs full of sea caves. It's extremely hostile territory to go looking for it, but it hasn't stopped people. But you're telling me people haven't gone diving around there. They have. By 1966, when there was a little bit of a Thai hole put on it, the New Zealand government was just like, you guys have got to stop doing this. 91 people had died going for the gold.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Oh, wow. In 1960, Marine Authority's banned for the salvage attempts because it was too dangerous and hopeless. One salvaged diver has been searching for nearly four decades. and hasn't found the gold. They're not sure where the gold went. There's, okay, there's a theory that the survivors buried it. Oh, okay. On the island.
Starting point is 00:56:56 And it's our very own Treasure Island. Wow. And they knew about it because they were there for so long. I'd love to see 10 local celebrities, uh, I'm saying. Find it out and find that. Get Brie on the phone. Over a couple of weeks, yeah, on TVNZ Plus.
Starting point is 00:57:08 We'll make it real. Yeah. So they think they were there long enough to all get their stories straight. This is urban legend. Right. They all get their story straight. Burry the gold. And one of them was.
Starting point is 00:57:16 going to come back to Auckland Islands and get it. But all of the survivors, because 15 survived, but then five set out to like an age round, so only 10 people ended up coming off the island, and all of them lived fairly humble lives after. So never had the gold. Never had the gold. Or it had the ability to get back there. What a fascinating story. So that's why all it takes is that little sniff of gold.
Starting point is 00:57:38 They haven't even found the shipwreck. Not the shipwreck, no, they found different things that they said, you know, that they usually find with shipwrecks cannonballs and stuff. but they're kind of like, it was an island where people would find themselves in the southern ocean that, like, use it as refuge. Right. And it's because of that shipwreck on that island that, um, New Zealand, the New Zealand government actually has little storage units down there.
Starting point is 00:58:01 If somebody does find themselves shipwreck that they've got enough to survive on the Auckland islands. How excited. And does anyone live there now? No. Just seals. Seals. Seals. Seals, penguins.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Fun? Starfish. Okay. Tour tour. I wish Haley was here because this is one of your best fact of the days ever. Well, there's a really. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:20 I really love that. New Zealand's own treasure hunt. Yeah. Well, it's far too dangerous to try. So please don't. Please don't. Please don't want to be in the news. They'll be in the news. They'll be like, why are you so far in the Southern Ocean?
Starting point is 00:58:33 Oh, I heard that there's gold down here on the radio. Don't drag us into it. We'll get trouble for that sort of thing. So today's fact of the day for shipwreck week is New Zealand has its very own mysterious treasure shipwreck down in the Auckland Islands. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day, day. I do-do-do do-do-do-do-d-do-d-do-d-do-d-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do do-do do-do do-do do-do. The Z-M podcast network.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Is this a show real? Play Z-M's Fletch for it and Haley. I want to know now, if you've ever in that heat of the moment, rage quit. You're just like, I'm out, I'm done. I quit this job. Yeah. Because, you know, normally people will give notice. have another job to go to.
Starting point is 00:59:17 That's the sort of proceedings of things. Yes, but sometimes it just doesn't go like that because maybe your workmates drive you to it. Yeah. What you're asked to do for. Maybe you're an emotional person. Sure.
Starting point is 00:59:29 And you just handle things in the heat of the moment. I could definitely see myself rage quitting. It would be pretty good stuff. It would feel good in the moment. Yeah, and then you get home and you realize, uh-oh. Oh, no, I've got bills to pay. Yeah, oh. Hope I can get another job.
Starting point is 00:59:41 I mean, it's fun to rage. It'd be better to rage quit when it's a job. market. That's when there's lots of jobs. When there's lots of jobs. Yeah, yeah. When it's tough like right now, probably just take a breath, sleep on it before you quit. But a girl has gone viral for doing this because she asked for Friday off.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Which it's the 1st of October today, by the way. Happy first of October. Happy to those that's Halloween. So Halloween will be on a Friday and we'll be. Halloween's a sette. A settee. It's a hallow weekend. It's Halloween. Because it's Halloween on the weekend. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:19 Shannon was, Shannon thought it was Friday and wanted the day off, but no, you'll be working. Halloween, but Halloween weekend because it's on a weekend and it hasn't been for a long time. Yeah. So she asked the boss for Halloween off and the boss said no, so she was like, quit. She quit. She quit. And it's gone viral.
Starting point is 01:00:36 So this is what I want to know this morning. Oh, Rory. Rory's messaged in. Pant with a pun. I quit my job at the Haleyin factory. I will not be spoken to in that time. That's really good. That's really good.
Starting point is 01:00:48 That's really good, Rory. Take a pin on the back. You take the rest of the day off, mate. And we've already done text of the week, haven't we? Otherwise, that would have been text of the week, Rory. That's incredible. Okay, 9-6-9-6. Oh, we've got a multiple rage quitter here.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Brilliant. Okay, 9-6-96 are text in. 0800 dials at M as a number. When have you rage quit? When did you rage quit? Oh, it wasn't me. It was one of my coworkers. Okay, and how did they raise?
Starting point is 01:01:15 They just wrote, I quit on the boss's desk and black sharpies. Wow, that's not coming off in a hurry. Wow, did they sign their name or was it pretty easy to work out which one had quit? My understanding was it said, dear boss, I quit, and then they signed it. And then they signed the name. Well, that's what's legally required, actually, to hand in your resignation. Generally, it's done sort of on a printed out piece of paper, rather than black sharpie on desk. Don't say, though, letter, do they?
Starting point is 01:01:46 They say in writing. Yes. So on the desk is in writing. Yes, correct. Definitely in writing. That's brilliant. Kendra, thank you. Some messages.
Starting point is 01:01:55 Leah said, I got a job at a supermarket. After the fourth shift, I never went back. The boss was such a bitch. I sat on the way out. I quit, and they said, we need your uniform back. And so I carried it to them a few days later. Yeah. I wasn't going in to give them the uniform back.
Starting point is 01:02:08 No. I witnessed this girl in my office one day said, I'm going to lunch, and she never came back. Oh, wow. A legendary moment, we still talk about it 10 years later. Not that's just a... She ghosted her job there. She hired her or she inserted her job.
Starting point is 01:02:21 She did. Yeah. I love the idea of just leaving and never coming back. It's good. And then they just have to be like, what happened to that guy? Emma said I've done this twice, two separate jobs, and then returned to the same jobs a day later. He he what can I say? Rage quit straight back.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Rage quit at 15. The boss wouldn't give me leave for exam study before the exam. So I walked out. Went to the opposition. applied, got that job and they gave me exam leave. Amazing. See, there you go, you treat your employees nice. Wow. And they
Starting point is 01:02:52 upskill and leave you in the lurch one day. Sure. Keep your text coming in 9696. ZM. I arranged quarter job at a service station they accused me of stealing. Years later I found out who the real culprit was. It's too long a story to give all the details, cheers Bart. Wild! You can't leave us hanging like that, Bart.
Starting point is 01:03:10 This isn't a three-part miniseries. We're in the brief story of what happened. I go have noticed but still ended up rage quitting. At primary school teachers have to give eight weeks. Five weeks less she told me I'd be helping out in her class. I said no I'm leaving and then said what would your husband say
Starting point is 01:03:27 and left that date. Now I can't quite decipher if she said what would your husband say or she said it to the person. There's a lot going on there. A lot going on there. Rage quit. Imagine as a primary school kid seeing your teacher rage court. That would have been pretty cool. I quit my job at a cafe because my boss accused me of not paying
Starting point is 01:03:43 for one meal which wasn't true. I left and never went back. He was a douche bag. Rage quit because I said I didn't want to pick up rubbish. Yeah, that's fair. Well, unless your job is rubbish. Unless you're on the rubbish truck. I mean, it would be hard working on the rubbish truck
Starting point is 01:03:58 and seeing some rubbish trucks with the grabby arm and you're still chucking the bags. And you're doing it manually. I'd like to do. But you look at your quads and your arms. You see some real results from that rubbish bag chucking and the cardio of running alongside the truck. Yep.
Starting point is 01:04:13 You're in way better the shape than the same. the person using the grabby arm. They're not doing much. They're wasting away in there. It looks like fun, but they're wasting away. They've got atrophy. It's not muscle atrophy. Yeah, and a little pookoo.
Starting point is 01:04:24 And it's not you, not you. Big strong, rubbish chucking person. I walked out of property management. It was a full female staff. I was simply not paid enough for that toxic office culture. I said, if this out loud and I went home and never went back. Yeah, right. I quit after two hours.
Starting point is 01:04:39 It was an awful job getting yelled out immediately by a man who's an accident I couldn't understand. And so I was like, what? And then he'd yell at me for saying what. Told them I was going to move the car. It was in a 10-minute car park. I just left and never went back. Oh my God, that's amazing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:54 That's incredible. Last year, on a building site, quit and walked off it as the moment of my review. In the moment of review of my progress, so they must have been doing a little like, oh, yeah. How the job's going for you. Somebody said, oh, somebody wrote FU and some wet concrete at a construction site.
Starting point is 01:05:12 They hated their boss and they walked away. That's brilliant. I love that. Someone who was working on that thing said, fully dried, they just left it there. Amazing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:22 Somebody I said, I was being verbally abused on the regular at a cafe I worked at. So I threw a coffee at the boss and left. Also, not by staff. Not by customers. No. By the boss.
Starting point is 01:05:32 Oh, yeah, fair enough. Yeah. My boss promised me full-time work over the summer, then gave me eight days in total. I quit. I wrote Dick on the uniform and gave them back the uniform.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Yep. So they just thought I was returning the uniform, but then when they opened it up, put it in the N-person and said dick on it. Yeah, great. I rage quit because my boss accused me of not mopping the floor properly after he locked me in the freezer. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Okay, it sounds like you could get some money out of him for that. Lifeguard rage quit. Someone shat all over the toilet cubicle and everything and then locked the door, and the only way in was to climb under and, of course, to climbing under, you got the poise on you. Oh, there's no way I'd do that. That's not lifeguard stuff. That's not in your job description.
Starting point is 01:06:13 Lifeguard stuff. Oh, yuck, that's hideous. Yeah. What is it wrong with people? Yeah, there's lots of people yelling and swearing. This is why we have signs in all the stores now. Be nice to our staff. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:25 Just to remind us to be nice to be nice to our staff. Be nice to our staff because we're not being nice to our staff. So someone should be. The Z&P Podcast Network. Play ZDM's Flashhorn and Haley. Yes, there is somebody. We've got a message around about this time yesterday from summer. from someone. It says, hey, team.
Starting point is 01:06:44 Currently not listening live because I'm a podcast girly. I currently in school holidays and it's report writing season. So sadly, it's not a real break. The teachers, here we go. Well, no, the teachers actually, they do, they work. Yeah. They do, they work. Just drop my partner off at the airport,
Starting point is 01:06:58 who's gone to Japan for a few weeks with his sister, and woke up to my period. Oh, God, what a day. So we've got report writing, partners traveling with sister to Japan and period. There better be presents from the partners. Oh, man, so many presents. For us too. Yeah, actually.
Starting point is 01:07:14 Absolutely. Actually, I'm aggrieved at any one of our listeners that goes overseas and doesn't see me a gift. And I'm definitely sad times because I'm texting him because tomorrow I have to get an MRI. In the machine, the donut machine and the weary donut. Doy, weary. Oh my God, I saw a great meme yesterday. So I'm saying, sorry, boss, can't come in today. I've got an MRI.
Starting point is 01:07:34 And the boss is like, prove it. And they were lying on the thing and they had their head in the washing machine. Brilliant. That's good stuff. day off for creativity. Yeah. So I've got an MRI and I'm going to be tuning
Starting point is 01:07:45 into ZM as my chovers and radio station. They do because I've had a couple of MRIs in the last few years. You've got to stay still but they let you choose the radio station.
Starting point is 01:07:54 Stay still. And I'm always like ZDM. Does it have to be a radio station? I mean, of course. Or you could podcast the eye hard at. I heart out. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:02 Take a podcast on one of the many shows on there. It's hard the last time I did it because it was, where was my last one? I wasn't, it was really hard to breathe in because I'd move. was it on my chest? I think it was on, I can't remember.
Starting point is 01:08:14 I'm gonna know my shoulder. So yeah, it was my shoulder in the MRI. How do you breathe with your chest moving? Well, that's the thing. And I had to redo it like twice. He was like, no, we're gonna do it again. I was like, I'm trying here. Did you do that thing you know when you're acting dead
Starting point is 01:08:28 and you'd have to believe what it would be like if you were dead and you have to. Do you always think about that on movies and TV shows when they're showing a dead body? And you can tell us the actor. They're like, okay, we're going to scan down the body. Yep. We'll give you a sign when it's time you can't breathe.
Starting point is 01:08:41 Because feet breathe, breathe away. Feet have ant. I'm always looking at the actors. I'm like, genitals? You're going to need to start getting ready to stop breathing. And then when it gets to the stomach, hold it. I wonder how long I could do it. I wonder how long I could do it.
Starting point is 01:08:55 But you just don't want to see any movement. Yeah, yeah, no moving, no moving. Right. So if anybody, by any chance they say you guys need a break, I would love some encouraging words. Anytime between 940 and 910. We're just wrapping up here. We just wrapping.
Starting point is 01:09:07 I think you've already had lots of fun with the rage. Three minutes away. Yeah. Last three minutes. We've got preem the chore here. We've gone early. Absolutely terrified. No, no, no, no. 8.40 to 9.10.
Starting point is 01:09:18 That's when they're in there, I believe. That's what I took from that. I thought you said 9. I was like, why are you doing that backwards? 840 to 9.10. Okay, fantastic. No, they're in there from 940 for a full 24 hours. To 910.
Starting point is 01:09:31 I'm terrified of having an MRI. I know you guys have spoken about having them before. I haven't. I don't want to know what's in there. Yeah, you don't want to know how you're wasting away. I'm going to ask, don't tell policy with my body. Much like the American military in the 90s. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:44 Don't ask, don't tell. Don't ask, don't tell. No, you'll be fine. I'm sure the worst of it's over. And just like the American military, I don't want to know if the man and me is gay. I said, don't ask, don't tell. Because that's what you find out in it.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Yeah, right. So I am, did we get this person's name? We've just got the copy in, and they text message in yesterday. I'm sorry, I didn't have your name. I hope it's going well. I hope everything in there's all good too. By my calculations, you got two minutes to go.
Starting point is 01:10:09 Hang in there. Yeah. Is it that one? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Play Z-N's flesh, born and haile. Well, a study now this is out of the UK asked if your house was on fire and you could only grab one item, what would it be?
Starting point is 01:10:26 So this is non-living. Like, they can get out themselves. Cats. They can get out themselves. They can all get out themselves. What would it be? What would yours be? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:41 Is the garage on fire as well? the whole thing I mean you've got a separate house and garage you've got a separate house must be nice must be nice that's a pain in the ass when it's raining
Starting point is 01:10:51 give me an end to get there yeah one of them linked in garages because if the garage is on fire it'd have to be my papa's Land Rover that I inherited this
Starting point is 01:11:02 okay so that's not replaceable yeah right everything else is replaceable like I love my Lego and stuff but it's replaceable like you can still get those sets you can go buy a whole new set of Lego
Starting point is 01:11:11 exactly It would be something sentimental, right? Yeah. Well, if Haley was here today, she would probably say her koala. That's true. Her soft toy. Her soft toy koala that she's had since a kid. And that was for the Brits.
Starting point is 01:11:25 It was her teddy bear. Really? Isn't that insane? No. Like, wouldn't you be better off at least with your passport? But then you can get a new passport. Yeah. I'm not saying it's the case with Haley, but some people had traumatic or not easy childhoods
Starting point is 01:11:40 and the teddy bear might have been the only person there for them, you know. Well, that's true. So that's why they keep them for ages and carry them around and rely on them. And it's close. Like if they still sleep with it. It's right there. It's in the bed. They know where it is.
Starting point is 01:11:53 Well, that was the number one thing for Brits, yeah. Which is... I don't know. What else is on the list? I don't even, like, have... I think there's, like, some stuff at mums. Like, there's some old toys, but, like, I don't have an old teddy bear. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:09 What would you grab? Because your cat can get out. assume the cat can get out by himself. Photographs, photo albums. Next on the list. Your phone. Jewelry. I haven't considered the phone as a thing.
Starting point is 01:12:22 I just assumed the phone's on me. I assume I'm taking the phone. That's a freebie. Sentimental items and keepsakes. Dogs at five. I mean, you just assume the dogs are getting out, right? The five peas of evacuation. This is interesting. I've never heard the five peas of evacuation.
Starting point is 01:12:38 Potatoes? Correct. Potassium. Yes. Poon tang Get the Poon tang out of there You got to take your Poon tang What are the other two Pets?
Starting point is 01:12:50 Pots and pants Pots and pans Pop plants Pop plants That's the sixth P And your penis And it's kind of a double P Yeah
Starting point is 01:12:58 Grab your penis Grab your penis for crying out loud Make sure it gets out of the fire People Pets, Pets Prescriptions, photos and papers Oh yeah, okay Because if you need to live for the next few days You've got your prescription meds
Starting point is 01:13:10 and you've got your important who you are documents. Yep, exactly. Pets and... Okay. So this is what I wanted to ask. I thought we could ask this exact question. What are you grabbing? Is there something really sentimental
Starting point is 01:13:22 that you would grab? Or practical. Are you a practical person? It might say a lot about you. Yeah, or are you the person that takes their teddy bear? Or their soft toy from their childhood? Yeah. Okay, so, 0800-9-6, if your house was on fire, which is sad.
Starting point is 01:13:38 Someone said nana's ashes. Do you know what? I just leave them there. They're already ash. Yeah, I know. I'd go back later and if it had two-dove. Yeah. Everybody knows the secret to a good nana is the double-roath.
Starting point is 01:13:48 It's a double-roote. Much like a coffee name. Yeah. A double roast. Initial roast, period. Let the flavour develop. Just roast again. Okay, so 0800 dungs at M.
Starting point is 01:13:57 We want you to give us a call or text through. 9-6-96. There's a house fire. What are you grabbing? One thing. You're only allowed to grab one thing. People would take books. Like, you could just get books again.
Starting point is 01:14:08 You were taking a book. You're only allowed one thing. You want to take a book? Like, you can buy a book again. Maybe if there's special copy or it's signed by somebody or maybe it's been there for you through hard times. Someone said my Pokemon card collection. That's irreplaceable.
Starting point is 01:14:22 Okay, so those were on the list but like way down. Pokemon cards? Like collectibles and stuff. Yeah, letters, cards, journals, diaries. Abby's messaged in it. On the list is anybody else written there's sourdough starter? It's how good as a sourdough? It's hard.
Starting point is 01:14:36 You've got to build up your starter. And then you've got the purpose. Starter. Good. It must be. That she's rescuing that. Somebody else said, I'm boring, but maybe the birth certificate. We've got a firebox that has passports, memories, partners,
Starting point is 01:14:53 his visa, insurance documents, etc. So on a fire, we just grab the firebox. Unless the fire starts within the firebox. If the fire starts in the fire box, he's just like, this Flint and Stone mean the world to me. It must keep it. I must. I'm going to keep this grenade in the
Starting point is 01:15:09 the firebox. You know, it was Grandad's World War I One grenade. They say it's unstable, but to me it's such a memory piece. My granddad's number plates that he gave me for my youngest when he's older. Again, you can get the number plates reissued. Yeah, but they're the actual old school ones. That's kind of cool. Yeah. I'll grab my knives.
Starting point is 01:15:25 Okay. I'll have some nice knives there. People, my dog's baby teeth? I'm sorry, Courtney, but your dog's baby teeth? What are you going to do with those? Through them in the men? Threw in them in a knee. I got a 50-liter place a container full of photos from the past 20 years. It's ready to go for this exact reason.
Starting point is 01:15:41 And good in a plastic container because that's good for a flood as well. Yeah, and plastic never mounts. That's true. You need a firebox. You need a firebox. Unless you're putting fire in there. Made of asbestos.
Starting point is 01:15:51 Asbestos. Waterproof. Fireproof. A great moody material and we are yet to find a downside of it. My daughter said her blankie. Yep. Also, we're listening while looking out the Sky City Hotel window, wondering if we can see you. Now that would depend where in the Sky City you are.
Starting point is 01:16:05 No. Yeah? If you're on this side, you could. You could see our, offices? Well, technically, but not our studio. Not our studio. You might be able to see the corner.
Starting point is 01:16:14 You might be able to see the satellite dishes on the roof as we beam out across the country. You look at the little satellite dishes and on the corner there, there's a big long billboard. Yeah, that's us. If I was to grab one thing during a house fire, I'd rip my dad's, my dead dad's last card to me off the wall, which has pinned up there proudly and run away with that. Assumeing all living things are already included to be a photo hard driver,
Starting point is 01:16:39 which has all the photo families and a quarter century of every digital photograph iron family members have ever taken? You need to get that on the cloud. Because even hard drives can like bugger out. Yeah. Yeah. That would be Devo if you lost that.
Starting point is 01:16:52 Somebody said I always thought the point of a firebox was it was made of something that wouldn't burn in the fire. Unless there's something in the firebox. But then what if the firebox kind of cooked everything inside it? Like it didn't burn, but the heat around it was so extreme. You'd need something that didn't conduct heat very well. And they don't last for every well. Like they'll do enough to five at a time
Starting point is 01:17:12 But I'm pretty sure Yeah, I'm gonna need to look this up now Um, it's Shalyn said definitely my sourdough starter So there's two votes for sourdough starter And what you're grabbing in a house fire Okay, I mean they're hard to get, aren't they? Is anyone still doing homemade kombucha? No one's messaged and saying that message
Starting point is 01:17:28 They'd grab their scoby. Okay, well, they're some mighty 10 cell one A Honeywell fire and waterproof safe Sirk. It's got the numbers. It's like a little hotel safe. What if the fire melts the numbers off the front? I'll never be able to get it.
Starting point is 01:17:44 Well, then you could at least cut it open. That would be fun too. This is that $268? Yeah, $2.6.8. It's 4.2 stars at a 5. Okay. I didn't know why someone didn't give it 5. Okay, it's got a 30-minute...
Starting point is 01:17:55 There was a fire, and it did not save everything. So it's got a 30-minute fire rating, and an 8-hour water protection are fully submerged. What gives up after 8 hours in water? Now I can understand fire and get the hot Yeah, I don't know. After eight hours, it's like, I've done my time. It's pretty good.
Starting point is 01:18:14 I only cost $270. I just want one even just to like put my, I'll just put my like passport in there. That would be cool. Yeah. Beep, beep, beep. And then have multiple passports in there and a pile of cash. You just feel like you were a rich New Yorker
Starting point is 01:18:27 and you'd hide it behind a painting and you'd put your diamonds in it. Right. I don't have diamonds, but I'd put some. Get some. Biscuits. Get some. Yeah. You've just finished Renos.
Starting point is 01:18:37 You're a full, not to put a little. a wall safe and behind a piece of. I'm doing that next time. If I ever do renauts again, I'm getting a wall safe. Oh, if I ever have a house and I was doing renaise, I'd do like a secret bookcase and stuff. And the photo in front of it's going to be a guy looking real shifting. Like, don't look behind me. That's what I want his eyes to say. I'm going to make the eyes move. Yeah. And behind a Ghostbusters too. We'll be a safe. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:58 In fact, I might just get the painting from Ghostbusters too. Well, I hope we've done something to... Okay, somebody said if you want a good firebox, put it in a Stanley water bottle. I had a house fire and that was the only thing they're standing virtually not. No damage. The Stanley Water bottle. The Stanley Water bottle survived the house fire. Do you think, yeah, I'm just wondering how you get your passport out
Starting point is 01:19:15 because it'd be easy to get the passport into a Stanley water bottle because you'd fold it, pop it in. You're never getting that out. What if you put it in, what if you put this, no, the passport's got a hard. Yeah, no, you can't roll it. I was going to say roll it and put a thing, a tape around it to hold it curved and then it could go in and out easily. No.
Starting point is 01:19:34 You need a big Stanley Water bottle. Fantastic. Thank you for your text messages. Yeah. The ZM Podcast Network. Touching on a motoring habit study out of the UK. Okay. Which looked into a whole lot of stuff.
Starting point is 01:19:45 But when it came to A-Hol drivers and what kind of car they were driving, the number one, and I don't know if this is because maybe they have more in the UK. Yeah, that's what I was just wondering what cars do we have that they don't. They have a lot of the European ones on the list, like scotas and stuff. I mean, we've obviously our police cars are scotas. We have a massive fleet of Japanese domestic market and regional specific. if it used imports. Yes, whereas the UK
Starting point is 01:20:09 have a lot more European cars and smaller cars because they're European. The number one A-Hull drivers in the UK, Tesla drivers. I didn't think the Tesla let them though. Do you think that's why the Tesla doesn't let them do stuff?
Starting point is 01:20:23 Like, get up, someone's ass, like, follow too closely. Yeah, if there's traffic and I need to get into a gap, I'll always pull in front of a Tesla because they break things like, oh, yeah. And you see them go, wah! And you're like, well, you shouldn't have.
Starting point is 01:20:35 So. Yeah, but apparently the number of, 1A whole drivers. Whether it's because they don't need to pay as much attention. Maybe. Well, we gave it a red hot 9669696. What do you think by brand, the worst drivers? Somebody said Toyota Prius and Teslas.
Starting point is 01:20:49 Really? Okay. It sounds like they might be against the hybrid or electric car. Yeah, yeah. Ranger drivers. There you go. Do you feel personally attacked? No, because I completely agree. Someone said, I'm a Ranger driver and I definitely drive like a dickhead. So, yeah, Ranger drivers are the worst.
Starting point is 01:21:04 Ranger drivers and Prius drivers Bloody knobheads Says Amber That's two for the Prius Yeah Audi's Do you think it's Someone said that was always a tosser
Starting point is 01:21:14 Driving a house Do you think the Prius Is because it's always Picking up people And it's inconveniently Double parked and Looking for addresses And stuff like that
Starting point is 01:21:23 Don't see too many preases Outside of the ride share Yeah Situation these days They used to be very popular I think it's more Your Leafs and your aquas
Starting point is 01:21:31 Yeah It's Audi drivers Somebody said I always see them driving terribly. Rangers, obviously, and then BMWs are a close second. Someone said, it's Tesla's for me. Every time I swear it, it's someone driving a Tesla. Okay, well, maybe that rings through here as well.
Starting point is 01:21:47 Yeah, maybe it does. Yeah. I have never driven one, but I didn't think they let you do. No. Dick-y-ed things. Well, maybe it's the Elon Musk factor. Have we thought about that as well? True.
Starting point is 01:21:58 Kind of permeating his... Just a little bit angry at it. Yeah, angry at him in the world. I'm in the fire industry. on the road all the time. You know, so I assume you mean firefighters? Yeah. Or, and so definitely the worst drivers in New Zealand are the golf drivers, the Volkswagen
Starting point is 01:22:13 golf drivers. Oh, okay. Do they not get out of the way? No, it's because they're drinking the iced Americana. Yeah, they're little dogs going, whoo, oh, oh, ow, ow, ow. And I've like, you know, ironically, I've never played a game of golf in my life. Well, congratulations to you, podcast listening.
