Starting point is 00:00:00 From the ZM Podcast Network. This is Fletchwin and Haley's Big Pod. Brought to you by Chemist Warehouse, the biggest brands at the lowest prices. Happy Monday, good morning. Welcome to the show, Fletch Fawn and Haley. And Vaughn just reminded me before. Haley, it's daylight savings. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:18 Sunday. Sunday. Sondi. Life's going to get a little bit harder for a few days while your body adjusts to waking up an hour earlier. Spring forward. Yeah. Losing an hour. So you get an extra.
Starting point is 00:00:30 out. You're losing an hour of sleep, but you, yeah. We'll get some sunny evening. Get some sun in the evening, yeah. I'll take it. A little, little adjustment. It's nice. A little adjustment. Coming up on the show today, your chance to win ZDM's World Tour again this week. Go on the draw thanks to Intrepid Travel to get to Morocco.
Starting point is 00:00:48 You and a partner, a friend, your bestie, whoever you want to take. Strangers at the street. I'd have know someone that's there at the moment. Really? Yeah, I was looking at their Instagram stories at the weekend. I was like, it's amazing. Yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, It's hard bumped up my list. Your chance to go on the draw run.
Starting point is 00:01:03 8 o'clock this morning, listen now for the Activator. But on the top six soon. Yeah, the Patoni seal that died. There was thoughts that might have died of bird flu, an investigation said, no, it didn't. This is that one that guy threw a fish at. He feels like an asshole now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Like, if it was just coming to shore to die, that's like going into retirement home instead of throwing salmon at people. Yeah. Not a good look. The death is suspicious. This will lead to one of our classic white girl murder podcast. Oh, fantastic.
Starting point is 00:01:31 I've got the top six name for the Dead Seals White Girl Murder Podcast. But who killed him? Yeah. Stay tuned to find out. The fish, that was just after. I don't believe the guy with the fish. We don't know.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Are we ruling him out? Do we don't rule of it? No, everyone's a suspect. Everyone in Patoni. Everyone in New Zealand. Is a suspect at this stage? Everyone in the heart. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Everyone in the heart. Upper, Lower, Mid. Suspect. So, yeah, the top six is coming up dealing with that. Next all the show. Why are you so husky and deepen? A bit of yelling at the waz. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:03 It sounds like you did a lot of yelling. Man, I was letting that ref have it politely. You were throwing? I did not throw cans. I found that behavior disgusting. What did you? Because I saw people throwing cans and they weren't even making it to the ref. They were hitting other members of the crowd.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Oh. I didn't think they gave you cans anymore. No, they give you cans, but they have to open them. Oh, right. Okay. Yeah, they give you cans. No bottles. Jesus, thank God, no bottles.
Starting point is 00:02:26 But, no, I was yelling. But horse. I was a little bit of horse, but also I've got a little bit of what you had, the coffin. Don't blame me. Well, has this gone? Yeah, because he got on antibiotics. He could afford a doctor's appointment. He spat in my mouth and leaves me high and dry.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Left you with her. Yeah, I got a little bit of that. Next, on the show. There's a saying we've been using that we shouldn't be using anymore. Not racist, though. There's a gift hole in the mouth. You're going to need a lot of lemons if you're going to make a cheesecake. Is that not the saying?
Starting point is 00:02:55 If you want to make a cheesecake. No. Two in the hand. worth one in the pink. Sorry. Two in the hand. Two in the hands worth one in the pink. Right.
Starting point is 00:03:05 No, that's not it either. Okay, that's not the saying. No, no, no, no. Okay, but this is a saying we've got to stop using. It's just factually incorrect, yeah. Okay. We'll get into this next. What a way to start the week?
Starting point is 00:03:17 We're learning. Someone's world upside down. What if I use this every day? The Zen Am Podcast Network. Well, if Rome tickles your tism, as it does for a lot of people, ancient Rome. Wasn't built in a day. Wasn't built in a day. Is it that saying?
Starting point is 00:03:31 No, Rome wasn't built in a day. That's, bingo. Rome was in fact not built in a day. So we can keep saying that. That saying stands. Okay, but the saying we're referring to before that it can no longer be used is all roads lead to Rome. Not one of my top ones.
Starting point is 00:03:47 I do it quite a lot. Do you? Yeah, when you're driving around, you're like, which way you're like, oh, I just keep going. All roads lead to run. Right. And when you're in Rome, you're sort of like, you can get a little bit lost.
Starting point is 00:03:55 You'll just keep walking. Eventually you'll... Well, you're in Rome. Well, you're in Rome, in Rome. In Rome. Probably sits a bit different. Because all roads lead to where I am, which is Rome.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Well, apparently, after mapping 186,000 miles of ancient Roman roads, all roads do not lead to Rome now, nor did they in the times of ancient Rome. Oh, who's been lying to us? The Romans. They had great marketing in PR. They had great marketing and it's what it boils down to. Is the oranges of the saying that, because, Because, like, most European towns are kind of like a web of things.
Starting point is 00:04:31 And they do all connect, kind of. Sure, there's a few dead ends. It was based on trade routes. And the fact that Romans did build lots of roads, but not all roads led to Rome. More roads led to Byzantium, modern Istanbul. Yeah, just keep going, all roads lead to Byzantium. It doesn't work. It doesn't roll off the tongue as much.
Starting point is 00:04:50 So there's multiple cities, ancient cities, and some of them have, you know, got modern survival. Yeah. under different names that had more roads lead to them. More than Rome. More than Rome. Byzantium, modern day instant bull.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Antenoc, Ankara, Karinth. What are they now? A lot of them don't exist. Ankara is, it's modern... Ancara was what it's called. It's modern day Ankara.
Starting point is 00:05:16 It's probably a Westfields now. Probably. Or it definitely has a Westfields. Yeah. It'll be a Westfields. It's a pretty hell of a food court, too. Kiri Oake, here's a curated list of factually incorrect or distorted sayings.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Curiosity killed the cat. Not always. Sometimes they survive. Obviously. Blood is thicker than water. That's only half of the saying, eh? The full, older historical phrase is the blood of the con covenant is thicker than the water of the worm. That's again, why I can see why they took some words out of that.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Blood is thicker than water means you should always stick by family, right? Right, because the blood rises, it's thicker than water. But the actual thing is saying the blood of your religion should outdo your family. So God comes before family. So there's a less. What about bros before Hose? Froese before Jose. Froese before Jose.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Okay. That's definitely what I'm. A lot of these are more just that we've remembered them wrong rather than they're factually incorrect. Right. Great minds think alike. Apparently that fool saying was great minds think alike, though fools seldom differ. Oh. So that's the same.
Starting point is 00:06:24 Yeah. That's a good one. That's quite good that second half. Why have we cut that off? Anyway, interesting. So we're not saying all roads lead to Rome now. No, I mean, you chuck a more roads lead to Bison. If someone says all roads lead to Rome,
Starting point is 00:06:37 you could just follow it up with a quick, more roads lead to Byzantium. Well, you go, I don't really care just open Google Maps. It's literally right there for you. It's the fastest route. Yeah. That makes way more sense. I'm a ways guy.
Starting point is 00:06:48 I had a ways guy. Because you like to see where the cops are hiding. I love to see where the cops are hiding. We saw a cop hiding the other day really well. He was in a bush. Five on the way. He was in a bush. He was in a bush.
Starting point is 00:06:57 He was in a bush. How did he get his car in the bush? We were heading north back over the Bombay hills and he was at the top, just past that veggie shop at the top. Yes, yes, I know of that. The road goes over the thing. I always slow down there because I always have a speed camera. Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:13 And always slow down by an on and off ramp because they'll just be peaked up. He was backed into a bush. Like you would have never seen him. Clever. Yeah, clever. This is why we use ways. I'll say my friend of mine who, um, is a cop, went out the other day
Starting point is 00:07:27 in the gay car. You know, the one that has the big rainbow. I was like, everyone's going to see you. You know what I mean? If you're fanging over the motorway and you see a big rainbow... Yeah, but are they doing speed checks in the rainbow car? Yeah, they were, they were, they were just pulling people over. Only catching gay people.
Starting point is 00:07:43 No, homophobes. Oh, they have to catch the homophobic energy, which is great. Play Z-N's Fletchhorn and Haley. From the Fletchvorn and Haley group chat. This is the top six Well, they're dead
Starting point is 00:07:59 Portonea Seale has tested negative for bird flu. I don't know why they thought it would be bird flu that killed the Well, they're not a bird, eh, are they? They're more fish-based. Yeah, they're a fish base. The birds are around the seagulls. That's a big mystery.
Starting point is 00:08:16 It's New Zealand's biggest murder mystery at the moment. It is because was it a natural death? We don't know. Murder is a possibility, so of course the white girls are putting together a murder podcast. Great. Today's top six are the top six names for the Dead Seals, White Girl Murder Podcast. Are you still listening to True Crime Podcasts? Or every day.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Really? Yeah. I took a big break. I took maybe like a year off and now I'm back, baby. Took a year off. This morning was about a woman who was a criminal who did house sitting. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Never walked the dogs, but she took all your shit. That's it. That's what I'm done. I've got a house. I've got a cat sitter. Yeah. A house sitter? Well, check your goods, mate.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Check your Christmas baubles. that's where she started because she was like they won't look until until Christmas and I'll be long gone How expensive with the baubles She was in like
Starting point is 00:09:04 Her Coventry You know Coventry darling It's a BBC podcast Some of you probably just be easier To go to Kmart and get some more Yeah you can get cheap bobbles Yeah Such cheap bobbles
Starting point is 00:09:13 Fancy boobble Top six days through the podcast Number six on the list She isn't telling the truth She lying The podcast This was this before you could Remember if it was a sea level
Starting point is 00:09:25 Lion or a seal? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seleon. She wasn't telling the truth. Sea lion. Yeah, she lion. She lion. Number five on the list of the top six,
Starting point is 00:09:34 names of the dead seals, white girl murder podcast. Did they do that on Poipus? Oh, he. That was good. I don't actually know if a sea lion is a porpoise. It's not, eh, that's like a dolphin. I thought it was a dolphin.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Oh, yeah. They got paws? Fins enough for the pun to work. Yeah, you don't work about your own money. Yeah, look, I also don't want to ban puns in the top six again, but I'm hoping this improves. Wow, it certainly doesn't, because number four on the list of the top six names of the Dead Seals, White Girl Murder Podcasts is Kelp wanted solving a murder. I don't mind that. Calp.
Starting point is 00:10:10 It's not a huge shrap. Give me another one. Give me another one. Okay, number three on the list of the top six names of the White Seals White Girl Murder Podcast, whale, whale, whale, whale, look who's dead. Whale, whale, whale, whale. It could have been a whale. Yeah, well, killer whales. They can, don't they?
Starting point is 00:10:26 Swam up on its belly to the shore. That would be a sign. The body, they've got the body, and there's no bite marks. It might have been a don't from whale, though. Could be. It gave them a sort of a brain. Yeah. Contusion.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Number two on the list of the top six names that there were Dead Seals, White Girl Murder Podcasts, is Finnell Destination Pitone Beach. Yeah, it's all right. It's not bad. It's not bad. Okay. Number one on the list of the top six names
Starting point is 00:10:48 for the Dead Seals, White Girl Murder Podcasts is serial. Serial. Like cereal. Serial, the very famous podcast. Yeah, okay. Seal radio. Planky. It was congy.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Seal real. Yeah. Seal. Seal. Seal real. Seal real. Yeah. Sometimes I've got to like, I write these down.
Starting point is 00:11:08 I'm like, that's all good. I never say them out loud until I'm doing the top sex. And then you get to, how am I going to say that? Maybe just some feedback. Maybe you could say them out loud in practice. Maybe I should go into somewhere. Yes, like a private room. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:20 You just do like a dress rehearsal. Seal real. All performers do. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Great to take on some feedback from you both. Thank you very much. Yes, good. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Oh, wait. God damn it, the text machine's now today. Signed. Sealed. Delivered. Oh, yeah, that's nice. That's number one. It's written off.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Okay, number one on today's top six. Is it too early for text of the week? It's a Monday. It's really? It's really. I think it's early. Holds to that gun. Matthew, we appreciate that, Matthew.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Well, we come back to Matthew of by Thursday, say we haven't got a better text? Yeah, I think so. I think it's fair to revisit it. I mean, on Matthew, I would have given it to you, but my two colleagues, stingers. Yeah, I know. No, no, it's just too, it's literally...
Starting point is 00:12:05 Too early in the week. It's the first text on the show. Matthew's on fire. Matthew's on fire. There's no business being that dialed in this early in the week. That's the day's top six. The ZM Podcast Network.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Is this a show real? Play ZM's Fleshhorn and Haley. Now, this was a study by an environmental group called Let's Save Water. They're out of the UK. Yeah. Let's save water. What do they do?
Starting point is 00:12:31 Save it. For later? For... Or from bad guys. Just... From bad guys. Saving it. Just save some of that.
Starting point is 00:12:40 They're not... Stop polluting it, stop wasting it. Or just sort of everything. Saving it. And the umbrella of save. And they're just being like, save that. Save that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:50 For later. For bad guys. All of it. Right. All of it. From robbers, from wastage, from soilage, from pollution. From pollution. What about fish?
Starting point is 00:13:00 Do they save it from fish? Save fish. Let's see a sub thing. Okay. Let's save water. Thus, let's save fish. Okay. So let's save water.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Pold thousands of Brits about shower usage because a 10-minute shower can use can use 150 litres of water, which is roughly 750 drinking glasses. Wow. So it's a lot of water. I'm not drinking shower water. I drink shower water. That's how I got sick in barley. I reckon it might have been the shower water that got me in barley
Starting point is 00:13:33 because I'm a shocker at... Yeah. Really? Oh no, I don't do that. And we were staying like out of the main... I was like, mm-hmm. And then went... What have I done?
Starting point is 00:13:43 And you've just spent the last two days in Bali or India, no ice, please, no salad? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can I see the ice? I need to make sure it's the one with the tubes in it. I'm just going to eat nothing but burgers the whole time we're here. Lettuce please.
Starting point is 00:13:55 No low cold. And in the shower you're like, oh, yeah, brush you with, like by the time at the, I'm at the end of barley, I'm always using the tap water to brush my teeth.
Starting point is 00:14:02 Yeah, the same. I'm fine. Old iron guts and then lose a bit of weight when you get home. So, look at it's shower length. 10 minutes uses too much water. Rough average shower length
Starting point is 00:14:14 of Brits is seven and a half minutes. Some people reporting showering up to 40 minutes. Wow, that's a lot of time. I run out of hot water. That's 3,000. glasses of water.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Yep. If you use... Which we're saving from the robbers. Let's save water. Okay, yep. So who's using the most? The results are great, right? So, 52% of 18 to 29-year-olds,
Starting point is 00:14:41 aka Gen Zah, showering for 10 minutes plus a day. Okay. 39% of millennials are doing that and 28% of Gen X. So we're going shorter and shorter the older we are. Right. And then, you know, old people,
Starting point is 00:14:53 they sort of just stop. They stop showering. Well, it's a slip risk every time, you know. Yeah, exactly the rails and stuff like that. So basically the younger you are, the longer you're showering. Despite that, Gen Z are reporting the highest levels of climate anxiety. But they're using the most... They're not saving the water from the robbers and the pollution or anything like that.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Morning showers tend to be shorter since people have somewhere to be, whereas end of the day, oh, you can often find yourself like, Totally. Have a drink. Unwinding, stuff like that. Yeah. So they say, experts say that the amount of time that you need, four minutes would be enough.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Three to four minutes is more than enough to clean your body, just a body shower. Add two minutes for hair washing. I suppose you've got longer hair, more hair. Yeah. I feel like that's how long I take. I'm not a long showerer. It'll be four or five max.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Depends if I'm showering to go out somewhere. Yeah. And I don't really shave my legs anymore. Can't be bothered. But like, if I'm showering to go out somewhere and I'm in a rush, Yeah, I can get it done a couple of minutes. Rinse it down. Even washing my hair, I don't take that long.
Starting point is 00:15:58 But my one is like if I'm really tired or really cold. Yeah. You just have that melty heat and you're like, good Lord. Oh, that's nice. That's nice. You've worked a big day. Yeah, when you get home, you're cold. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so they're sharing too much. And we're just, I'm getting behind this, guys. We're going to save the water. For all of it. For the... Fish, bad guys. Fish.
Starting point is 00:16:21 We've got to save it for Africa. Save it for a rainy day. Sihara. Saving it for a rainy day. Save it from poisons, toxins. I'm just scared. Have a shorter shower. Have a shorter shower.
Starting point is 00:16:32 And with that, the rest of the water. Yep. Or just shower at the gym because it's not your water. Shit. Have a really long gym shower. It's still water. It's not your water. It's not yours.
Starting point is 00:16:44 It's the world's water. Yeah, but it's not, you're not paying for it. You're not paying for it. You're not paying for it. No. But I don't think save the water, the save the water people, are only saving your water, that's very...
Starting point is 00:16:55 Wait, how... Selfish. How much of a shower time is one AI search? How much water does this question to you, AI, costs? Be honest, Claude. Because he lies to me sometimes, and he'll go, oh, you got me there.
Starting point is 00:17:12 AI uses the water to cool itself, right? Yeah. Yeah, the cool. So then there's the water steam and go back up into the thing and then it'll rain down again. I don't know. Okay, a few milliliters.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Two half a litre. See, he's sugar-coating us. I mean, that's a huge difference. That's a drip or two cups. Yeah. Depending heavily on the study's assumptions. What do you... I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Well, okay, so you're actually just tipped a half a cup of water out there. Did that... Don't ask again. Save the water. What are you doing? Don't ask again. So I'm not asking again.
Starting point is 00:17:45 That's more water. Jesus. Save it. We've got to save it. Play ZDM's FlashFawn and Haley. FlashFo So silly, silly, silly that 3.3 billion gamers worldwide
Starting point is 00:18:17 and 80% of them play on mobile fines. So very accessible, right? Yeah, you can go to everywhere. I just don't think I ever, oh, maybe back in, what was that one with the planes? That was cool. You had to pick which planes and land them on the runway. That was a great game.
Starting point is 00:18:33 What was that game? That was a brilliant game. Yeah, every... It was like a little cartoon, like runway and you'd drag the plane and land them but you couldn't crash them. Facebook memories I'd get like a screen tap of like my high score. What was that game?
Starting point is 00:18:46 It was brilliant. That's the only game I've ever played. The levels you got, you got more difficult airports. And they'd go faster. And then they were like little planes worth choice a little bit, but the big ones. They played Tiz FM. Welcome, welcome. Yeah, yeah. I loved
Starting point is 00:19:01 I got it, Candy Crush was my number one and it's just kind of stayed on my phone and I used to play it a lot and we used to put a bit of plenty money into it you know what I mean when you'd run out and now I just play on planes I've got all sorts I got everything for every mood
Starting point is 00:19:15 I got these little dumb little games that are just like brightly coloured and there's like this one where you've got to get the like fuzzy things home flight control yeah flight control that's what it's called 248 you know
Starting point is 00:19:25 248 what was the trick with 2048 you just went down every opportunity you could you went down down it was always down down down down down I liked that a lot Unless you absolutely have to. So mobile gaming generated $92 billion in 2024,
Starting point is 00:19:42 which is 49% of the $187 billion global games market. We should start a game, the three of us. Let's start there. So it's radio, you've got to turn up. All the best games were only invented because someone wanted a segment of the pipe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's massive by 2027. It is estimated that mobile gaming,
Starting point is 00:20:05 reach $103 billion in overtake the rest of the gaming combined, like PC and console gaming, which is crazy. But for the little poll, we asked you, do you do mobile gaming? Do you get involved in a little mobile gaming? Yes all the time? 35%. Okay. No, never.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Also 35%. Wow. Once in a blue moon, 31%. I put never, just because it's been a long time since I have. So if you combine the yes all the time. time and once in a blue moon, the two groups that do, it comes to 67%. Yeah, right. Don't say it. Don't say it. Don't say it. Don't say it. You can say 67 without saying it.
Starting point is 00:20:46 I don't need to say six and seven. Ah. Some people will never. No, never 35%. Let's get into the comments. Andy said, I bloody love Uno. I play it all the time. Uno. No. No bots don't have anything on me. Really? It sounds like you're selecting easy. You need to select hard. By the way, I started playing the Wolverine game at the weekend. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:08 And we scheduled this out. Amy, my girlfriend and I, Saturday night. I'm going to game. She's going to embroider. Nice. We'll sit beside and keep talking. And we did. And I was like, I'm going to play on the hardest setting.
Starting point is 00:21:20 Nice. And then I had to do this. Big Daddy. Big Daddy got to that first boss. Big Daddy got to the first boss and had to go into the menu and change settings to Easy. Did she see you change it to Easy? She's like, what are you doing? I was like, I'm changing the settings.
Starting point is 00:21:32 She was like, that did look hard. So she was like, that did look hard. Did you clock the game? I heard it was a short game. No, I didn't. Yeah, you can get through it in like 14 hours. Some message saying he was like clocked her. He's already finished it.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yeah, yeah, because some guy streamed it and finished it in like 13 hours. Yeah. Fun though. Do they know that they can have sex? This is a teenager. Oh, no, I mean you though. Yeah. No, I'm not allowed to have sex.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I thought it was like once a week. Yeah, so you're sitting next to your hot girlfriend and she's all like, and you're like, I'm going to play a game. But then I couldn't get out, I packed a sad. Turned it off instead of watching some league. Packer sad. Packer sad. And then did you pack a sad after that? No, because I wasn't invested in that.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Oh, it wasn't the Warriors. I packed another sad last night after that. Big sad weekend for morning. Big sads. Yeah. Lots of sads. Is a jigsaw puzzle app? Considered a game, said Felicity.
Starting point is 00:22:18 I'd say so. It is. Yeah. How would you do a jigsaw on a tiny screen? Probably quite soothing finding and dragging. Yeah. Only on flights when there's no internet available. Usually it's the old faithful candy clutch.
Starting point is 00:22:29 It'll get a hiding on a one-hour domestic client. Yeah, mate. A lot of people on the long haul flights play the games on the inscrime. screen? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. The games suck. Yeah, I can feel them tapping the screen at the back of my... Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:41 They've got another row. Tap, tip, tip. Alex said it was going to say no, but then I realized they do the New York Times games. Your mini crosswords and stuff, that's gaming. It counts. It is. It does. Okay, that counts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Rainer said, I put yes all the time, but that's games like Scrabble and Uno. So just board games put on the phone because my husband doesn't like them as much as that. Still games. Still games. Unless you're getting out the raw dog board. Yeah. That's a game. Violet said,
Starting point is 00:23:04 keeps my brain sane and relaxes me. Mart says I've been playing this game called Covet Fashion since 2015. It's pretty much just dress-up dolls. I find it very relaxing. Yeah, fun. Alicia said, I have a breastfeeding child. If I didn't play games on my phone, I do an ungodly amount of online shopping,
Starting point is 00:23:22 especially once he's falling asleep, but doesn't really let go of the boob. They're like locked in, A. Don't move it. On the toilet, of course they will says. Katie. I expected that to be a male's message, to be honest. Males dilly-dallying on the toilet.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Katie takes her time in the bathroom. Every day, Gekko out. I love it and I don't care that it makes me look like a boom. I've got to look up this game. It's called Gekko Out. Well, we asked you today for Sill Little Pohl. Do you play mobile games on your phone? And a combined 67% of you do.
Starting point is 00:23:48 The Fletch morning, Haley, big pod. Well, we three had very sporty Sundays, didn't we? Didn't we? The sportiest. Some of us won, didn't we? Some of us were winner-winners chicken dinners over here. Some of us were losers, losers. losers, refs are pooses.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Yeah, but... Well, we had some bad calls go against us last night. Well, you went to the Warriors. Went to the Waz, yeah. I caught the end of it. It was, like, packed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:16 I've been to All Black's games before. I don't know. It didn't feel as busy at All Blacks games as it did last night. It's the atmosphere last night. That bandwagon's loaded, man. It was so loud. I don't boo the opposition
Starting point is 00:24:25 when they came out, but a lot of people did. And I don't throw cans at the refs when they go off after a game full of some, you know, borderline calls, but some people do. It was a great game at Eden Park. I will say, caught the train there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Parked at work, said to the girls, we'll go on the new train, walked down to one of the stations, and it was like that scene, you know where the Japanese are like pushing everybody in with brooms? Yeah, and the businessmen are like up against the thing. It was packed. Oh, I love the people are using the trains.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Oh, yeah, and then getting off, and it was just the streets, because they closed in the streets were full. The atmosphere was electric, and not as electric after. But man, the trains were, I've got to say, I think they should have put on more trains. Did they not put on the trains?
Starting point is 00:25:11 No, no, no, there was definitely not enough trains. They should have whacked a few more carriages on. Now, I'm not in charge of the trains, so I probably don't know the actual reason why, but it was so packed. Yeah. So packed. I'm sorry, mine.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Not next year. This is our year. This is why I don't jump on bandwagons. I'm back, baby. Just leads to heart break. Just get heartbroken. Well, we went to the breakers for the first time, Zed him now supporting, which was so great, courtside seats. And we were afterwards, went and got some food, Mike and I, boyfriend and I, and they had the game up where we were.
Starting point is 00:25:46 And Taylor was a bit bloody somber. And then with like one minute to go, I was like, shit, we better get out of here because we're going to beat this traffic, this pissed off traffic. And man, we saw five sets of cops on the way home. Wow, good. Ready to pounce. Ready to get people. I say I'm not jumping on a bandwagon. I'm jumping hard on the breakers bandwagon.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Because I wasn't sure. I mean, I love the NBA for a little, but I got hard into it. I told you it's the best live sport. Oh, it's so fast. And the time it took for your team born to score one try, we were just like, slam, slam, slam, slam.
Starting point is 00:26:21 That's what I don't like about basketball and netball is that scoring points is no big deal. It was... And they're doing it willy-nilly. But we had some slam dunks. You go to the other end of the field. You go to the other end of the festival. football sometimes a whole game nothing
Starting point is 00:26:33 I know and cricket five days and a draw-up this was fast man because we interviewed Sam Meninger on a Friday and he is he just dominated that court he's so tall was so fun but I reckon within
Starting point is 00:26:49 the first quarter I knew I'm going to make the break as my whole personality do you know Haley was on the because the game was also on SkySport Haley was on the at the final at the final closing winning of the match because they cut to where you'll hang on
Starting point is 00:27:06 court side where Haley was sitting next to well we're just said we sat all amongst random people I didn't know at all and then the people were filling in and Fletch wasn't there yet and I was like oh so Fletch and I out sitting together and Mike and I sitting there and some other guys there and he just looks at me and he's like
Starting point is 00:27:23 so you know you guys do you guys sort of follow the breakers often and I was like oh no that's actually our first game He was like, first game, yeah. And I said, what about you? And he was like, yeah, yeah, no, I'm here. And he said, first time court side.
Starting point is 00:27:37 I said, yeah, I said, what about you? He's like, yeah, yeah, no, no, I float around a bit. He was like, what brought you here? He said, what brought you here? I said, I worked for ZNM and I pointed to our ZDM, you know, branding there. And I said, you know, one of the new supporters and stuff. I said, oh, cool, cool, we'll see a bit more of you. He said, what brings you here?
Starting point is 00:27:53 You into basketball? He was like, yeah, and I could see his friend looking and being like, Haley. And I was like, oh, yeah, and what was? It was so embarrassing. And then he points up to a flag that has some of the sort of like iconic players and their terms of service.
Starting point is 00:28:09 And this guy had played for like 15, 16 years and his name's Tom Abercrombie. Yeah. Also, one of the most celebrated New Zealand basketball players? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I looked up and I said, oh, yes, you were a player. He said, yeah, and I sort of part owner of the team. I was like, oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:28:25 And then I turned around another point, and I say, is it always five aside? He goes, yeah. Brilliant, it was brilliant. He says, man, it's it always five, so how did you think? I was like, where's the rest? Do you think he was like... He thought it was a seven situation?
Starting point is 00:28:37 Yeah, I don't know. Do you think he was like, how did this woman get these tickets? No, he literally said to me, I've been asked some things side of court before, but never that. But he enjoyed it and I kept being like, oh my God, this is a really good chance. He was a good host, actually. Yeah, yeah. But I tell you what, I mean, I wasn't sure.
Starting point is 00:28:53 I was like, oh, yeah, God, sort of going for a kind of a work thing on a Sunday. I don't know. I'm in. Great fun, eh, good fun. I'm in. Well, yeah, that was the first home game of the breakers season. So if you get the BNZ breakers, get the chance to support them. Yeah, hell yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:29:06 It was so fun. Play ZM's Flash for it and Haley. You can't have missed this. The Ed Shearren, MacLamore controversy, that happened at the end of last week and kind of exploded over the weekend because he had to do a show. Yeah. As part of the loop tour.
Starting point is 00:29:21 MacLamore was the opener. He came out with a supporting Palestine statement. he was then removed from the tour and then as a result all the band removed themselves or the other openers and Ed Shearing did come out and say I'm not like being complicit here
Starting point is 00:29:44 but it's a promoter thing and everyone was like I'm sorry but you have power here and also the stadium owner wouldn't let Maclamall play because of the statement yes and everyone was like but you're Ed Shearer I reckon what you say could have been a goa. So he finally did a show in Philadelphia was the first one since this has happened
Starting point is 00:30:04 and of course he addressed the crowd. And I'm so, so sorry. I don't want to disappoint fans and I've never wanted to be an activist musician but this has put me in the middle of an important and passionate argument about freedom of speech and the most complex political issue on the planet. My concerts have always been a safe space for everyone and that matters hugely to me. honoring my commitment to my fans is also completely central to who I am and that is why I'm here tonight on my own and continuing my current tour so this was part of a very long carefully written statement because you could see it was like three minutes was telly promptly yeah yeah and I did and at first I was like I hate it
Starting point is 00:30:48 when people should speak from the heart but they read something yeah but I think the wording is what tripped him up in the first place. So he was obviously being very careful to go, I want to say what I need to say and say it properly and not stumble at any thing. So his whole band had pulled out so he had a new band and he thanked them for being
Starting point is 00:31:08 brave enough to come out even though it might get them a bit of hate. Later in the show he was really overwhelmed because the crowd were very supportive of him and he was basically bawling his eyes out. He also scrapped the B stage because we saw him and he has his main stage and his stage and the bridge came out.
Starting point is 00:31:25 into the crowd, scrapped it because he was like, people might try to bloody throw shit at me, throw bottles, who knows. Oh God. Adam, so he didn't feel safe.
Starting point is 00:31:36 He was like, it's the safety thing. So he just stayed on the main stage that had a bit more security. There were heaps of protesters outside the stadium and everything. Yeah, it's like, it was a bit of a mess in terms of what happened.
Starting point is 00:31:49 But I think given how badly it was handled to start, he's kind of done his best. He has to carry on with the tour. He's addressed it. He has finally kind of said that, you know, this is a very deep important issue
Starting point is 00:32:05 and he's full of regret and remorse and everything like that. So, hopefully his tour goes on and no one bloody attacks him. He's made a terrible mistake. Yeah, I don't know about the opening acts. I think that they're just, he just came out, literally didn't start with a song. Came out and started with that.
Starting point is 00:32:20 It was his band and everything, right? Quite, yeah, yeah, yeah. And that was more because they were like, we've got to be safe. We can't be dragged into this. But he did, he had a band, they joined him and everything like that. So there you go, he's addressed it, and his tour continues. The ZM Podcast Network.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Play ZM's Fleshhorn and Haley. I had a very varied weekend. Like, I just did so many different things, and it was brilliant. I just had such a good weekend. And part of it was on Sunday morning I woke up, and Hungus Malungus, there's the QMu Market on, every third Sunday. That's near you. That's near me.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Yeah. And so I was like, well, let's pop to the Marque, get a coffee and a little snack and a little potter around some goods and stuff. I bought a handmade ceramic butterbell. Gorgeous. Oh, from our friend. They made the cups. No, from a different ceramicist. It was packed.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Not by Lynn. Not by Lynn. You're telling me there's more than one ceramicist. It's like four. Not by Lynn, Graham. You know, I support Lynn. So much so that she gave us a cup and when mine got broken, I just stole Fletches. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Mine's my home cup. Yeah. No, no, just a different one. There was so many little treats and stuff. I was buying all sorts. It was lovely. But as we were leaving the Kumi show grounds, I pull out and there's a community center there and I just see a sign.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Cat show. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. I was like, stop the car. I made Mike, like, slam on the brake. I was like, pull over. And then I had to quickly research. I was like, you can just like randoms without cats go into this show?
Starting point is 00:33:55 I was like, am I just going to wander and they'll be like, where's your cat? And I'll be like, I don't have one here. And they'll be like, you're not allowed in the show. You've got to have a cat. Yeah. So a Google cat show, you know, community centre. And I find it's just a cat show and you can buy tickets.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Is it like $2? $5. Oh, cat shows have gone up. The last one I accidentally. Everybody. I think the last one was $2. It's hit you right in the pussy show. Yeah, it's got you right in the bus.
Starting point is 00:34:19 So I was just like absolutely delighted. And I was like, pull in. No, but I think we had too much. that on Friday. Still that, born. With his thrush and stuff. Oh, you're saying? How is the thrush?
Starting point is 00:34:31 More on that later. I actually did, I've just uploaded an editor of our CRL Pub Crawl, which we're going to talk about soon. But I've done a separate thrush edit because it was really itching all night. Oh, on. Don't be embarrassed about your vaginal thrush. I'm on antibiotics, but so far no thrush. Yeah, we're good.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Well, fingers crossed. That pH is getting a meddling. Anyway, so, yeah, we pull into this car park. Park, it's, you know, it's community church and a community centre and I'm like walking the door and I don't know what to expect and we just come through this spot and there's a little desk and I was like,
Starting point is 00:35:04 five rows, like double-sided of cat display cases. And the cats are just in the cages. Yeah, they are. Are they happy? They're stoked. They're just literally just chill. If Rolly wasn't he about,
Starting point is 00:35:18 Rha-Raw-R-R-R. Yeah, my cat would be like, all just like looking petrified. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So, get in there, pay my five bucks. And I'm delighted. She was like, listen, joy.
Starting point is 00:35:30 She's just enjoy. Just enjoy. Knock yourself out. What happens? Okay, so we're going up and down. First one I see is a main cune. I was like, I like, the paws on this. Going up and down, then I see a British short hair, and I think, oh, Major Mars is there.
Starting point is 00:35:44 And then I start thinking, Major Mars, who we're fat shamed for years, born, but skinny. Yeah, my British short hair is. Because he's on the peptides. He's on the peps. He's on the redder because the rammer. He's on redder and... Wolverine bag. The Wolverine stack.
Starting point is 00:35:59 Yeah, because he gyms. Because he jim's brough. Because I was looking at this British Shore here. Fat is all mercy. And he'd had like five awards. All the awards are there. Like, we're so out of place here. We're just looking and loving all these beautiful cats.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Then at one point, I see these like beautiful fluffy things like this. And the woman just comes over and she was like, do you want to hold? And I was like, do I want to hold? And I was like, do I watch? Like this. And then I'm holding the cat. And it's gorgeous, lovely. It's peaking my little thing
Starting point is 00:36:28 and me little nose kisses like this. And then speeches start. And I was like, Speeches. Oh, okay. I don't know if we're supposed to be here. And they start remembering a woman that's passed away. And I was like, well, this is lovely like this,
Starting point is 00:36:39 but I've still got this cat. And then it was anyone to share a memory. I was like, I didn't know it. So I'm just holding this. And then they wrap up and I was like, all good. Oh, my God. I thought you were going to get up and share a memory of something you didn't know. I thought the story was going to be.
Starting point is 00:36:50 And of course, you're holding her deceased cat. You must have been close to it. Yes. Yes. I was. If you've got something that you'd like to say about Margaret? She knew how to cat. She grew a cat. No, but I was learning all about, she had two of them,
Starting point is 00:37:03 and she said that I haven't quite got the eye colour right on that one. I think the next round, about the breeding. How are they going to do? Oh, wow, okay. She's crossing these lines and I think I'll get it just right. And I was like, like she's making a cake or something. I was like grafting some fruit trees. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:37:19 And then it was another moment where I went around. there was this other cat and he was right there and he kept reaching his paw out. So I was putting my finger in the thing like this and I was like, oh, like this and then I just feel this like Mike's like tapping me but like and I was like get out
Starting point is 00:37:33 get away, mate you turn mate and apparently the owner was behind like eyes. Oh really? Yeah, I'm touching the purebred I'm not supposed to touch. Yeah, you're not meant to touch them. I'm surprised you were even allowed to hold them. I know. No touching. Not even in the champagne room.
Starting point is 00:37:49 No, no no not even in the Champagne. And then at one point a woman asked me, you know, because I was so delighted and I said, well, let's just do one more loop like this. I was so delighted. She was like, you're a cat owner. I said, yeah, she said, what have you got? I said, well, it's just a mongrel
Starting point is 00:38:02 plastic bag there. And she was like, oh, okay. Oh, oh, wow. Not a mongrel in there. So you've got a feeling she shopped, she don't adopt. She mongrel shamed me. She mongrel shamed me. I was mongrel shamed. I'd say, my mongrel in, I'll show what the street's bred.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Rolly's beautiful. Came home and I was like, look at you. Bloody character, eh? Oh, it was honestly, it was a true delight. Like, I just loved it. I absolutely loved it. Did it stink? It smelled like cats.
Starting point is 00:38:28 The hair everywhere. The people were weird. No, not mad. No, people weren't weird, though. They were just passionate. Like, there was cars outside that were like covered in cat decals. There was one person in there who had a suit that had cats all over it. And I was like, I think this could be my people.
Starting point is 00:38:45 You think this is your specific brand of the Tiz? Yeah. This could be your weekends going to cat shows. It's not going to be my last time at a cat show in New Zealand. I loved it. Play ZM's Flash for her and Haley. A woman has gone viral. She's a British woman.
Starting point is 00:39:01 She was staying in a hotel with friends and in her room was a receptacle which most people would assume is a rubbish bin. Some kind of wired. It did look like she was in some kind of like nice boutique hotel. So it was like... It wasn't a wired one that you could be using for. you know you put your dirty washing
Starting point is 00:39:22 in like a washing bus and it was like a solid bin. She assumed Waterproof. Oh okay right. You can have a spew in it. You know I reckon it's got a seam in it. It's got some kind of I reckon it's got it's bouch. It's bougie. No look it's got
Starting point is 00:39:36 rivets and a seam down there. I reckon you can still spew in it. Yeah it's sort of like a leathery kind of shiny. So she assumes it's a clothing bin for her washing. I reckon you could still spew in it. So they run like.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Like a laundry service. Yes, but they don't. The hotel doesn't. And that's when she realized is that her dirty clothes that she put in there have been thrown out by housekeeping. Oh, because she put them in the bin. Fair enough.
Starting point is 00:40:02 No marron housekeeping. I've been overseas and had clothes. I've got bought new clothes. I'm like, oh, that can go. Same thing. I'm not coming at home or it's ruined or, yeah, yeah. It's been too heavily soiled to bring back and explain to customs.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Yeah, that's going in the trash. So exactly, we've all done this. So if it's in the bin, housekeeping are going to empty it. And she's online saying, guys, they've thrown out my clothes. I can't get them back. And no one has sympathy for this woman.
Starting point is 00:40:31 No, no, no. I don't. That's clearly a bin. It's a rubbish bin. It's a rubbish bin. But I have stayed at places, definitely overseas, where a laundry service is available.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Like, this happens sometimes in Bali, or I remember when I stood in India that was there. Bali, yes. Western countries with the laundry thing I'm not paying that much of the laundry That's insane They have a priceless And socks are like a dollar each or something
Starting point is 00:40:54 That laundry bag in hotels I take it every time Great for dirty washing It's a good bag Great for dirty washing Great for separating it in the suitcase It's lovely I miss plastic bags sometimes
Starting point is 00:41:04 Oh god yes Thanks Jacinda You actually thanks Thanks Spence I want to know this morning I've got autism now Because of the vaccines
Starting point is 00:41:13 And my autism is plastic bags And I can't fulfill it because she banned that. I want to know now, 0800 dials at him, 9669, what was accidentally thrown out? Yeah. I mean, this is one of the, like, one of the things, like the, like, one of the main stories of the sprails that never gets dropped. My mum had bought me a lovely pair of floral Doc Martins when I was a kid. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Really young, floral Doc Martins. I was out, stepped in dog poo, mum put them in a plastic bag in the boot. Dad thinks he's being helpful, he's cleaning it out. Something's in a plastic bag. It must be rubbish in the bin they go. Yeah. Now we're talking about Doc Martins. They're not cheap.
Starting point is 00:41:49 No. And even now, I mean, I was a child and I'm 37 soon. And you haven't let it go. No one's let it go. It's like, don't let dad clean it out. It'll probably chuck it out like you did your Doc Martins. You're like, that was 9095, mom. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:00 You know, we've got to move on. Okay, 0800. Darns at Em is the number, text through 9696. What got thrown out? Sarah, good morning. Hi, how are you? Really good. What was thrown out?
Starting point is 00:42:13 So, my best room when I was a baby, like my first ever teddy beer. I take them to my friends. We went to go to the teddy beer spick, and, yeah, we had a falling out, and when we became friends again, I asked about my beer, and, yeah, she had no idea where it was.
Starting point is 00:42:29 I don't know if she threw it out, or... Oh, my God, no. She threw out your beer. She threw it out when you had the falling out, I reckon she ate. Yeah, she immediately regretted that. She immediately regretted it. She was like, oh, no.
Starting point is 00:42:41 I don't know, hopefully. I just hope my beer somewhere safe, and maybe for the good... It's not home. You could be in bear heaven. I think it's in beer heaven. We might reunite one day. This would be like if somebody threw out Kwali, Haley.
Starting point is 00:42:53 I could literally, Sarah, like my Kwali, I don't take him anywhere because I fear that someone's going to throw him out. Yeah, yeah. I think everyone's got a special TVA. Yeah. Oh, we're sending thoughts and prayers to bear in Bear Heaven. Sarah, thank you. Anonymous. What was accidentally thrown out?
Starting point is 00:43:11 I was helping my friend was packing for moving. and it was kind of getting down to the wire time-wise and I was just making a lot of executive decisions. We need that. We need someone like that. Yeah. She doesn't need this. She doesn't need this.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Unfortunately, I didn't realize, but I threw away her ex-mother and she was cremated and I didn't realize. I feel mildly guilty about it, but the ex-husband hasn't asked for her back, so that's, I mean. The moving she was doing was it moving out of the house that she had shared with him? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Yeah, yeah. So you're moving out there. separation. Lane him then. You have felt the ashes. Where, like, what landfill do you reckon the mother-in-law's in right now? Oh. Our lungs.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Yeah. Yeah. I last saw her going off on a skips, so I'm not sure where they take. What city do you live in? Summer and Hawks Bay. It will be. Oh, my God. A Hotspain landfill.
Starting point is 00:44:08 So, I mean, it could be by the car. It would be very small stuff eventually, I guess. Yeah, exactly. And if he hasn't missed her. There's the Henderson Road refuse station. Oh, she loved Henderson Road. Oh, she might have been. Beautiful outlook from that.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Yes, she did. Oh, no, she might have ended up at Red Cliff. The Red Cliff transfer station in Taradale. She loved a cliff. Nice. Peaceful out there. Yeah, peaceful. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Bird the birds. I actually think you've done her a solid. Who wants to sit on a mantle? You know? And stuffed up inside all day, light up. I hope she's at the Blackbridge Refuge Station because that's got 4.9 out of five. stars on Google reviews.
Starting point is 00:44:46 See? And that's like quite near the coast. Oh, she loved the beach. Yeah. She loved the beach. She loved the beach. You know how those dumps leach into the store. She's probably run off into the sea now.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Oh, she'd love it back where she wanted. Anonymous, thank you. Some people would have just found, some people just would have found that so hard to listen. Emily, what was accidentally thrown out? Oh, morning. How are you guys? You're really good, Tammy Merch. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:45:12 That's good. So my mum throw away a like $5,000 like ticket stub for like horse racing So was it like a winning ticket? Yeah, so mum had it on the bench This was like, I'm pretty sure it was before I was born And dad rung her and was like, hey, hey Rachel Like where's that ticket?
Starting point is 00:45:35 And mum like looked on the bench, she's like, oh I can't find it He's like, well you need to and she's like, what wine? He's like, it's worth five grand. This is why we need to leave. the stuff on the bench. Everyone's always getting stuff off the bench. Let's see cloud of the bench. Leave the bench.
Starting point is 00:45:47 That's in a landfill somewhere and that mother-in-law's probably cashed it in. Yeah, she has. She's spending 5K in heaven. She found it. Yeah. With a teddy bear. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're all up there. And throw away heaven.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Kick-a-tex coming in, 9-6-9-6. God, what are we keeping? Everyone, my passport, someone said? Yeah. Oh, that's an expensive mistake. I know. And pun it, when you lose a passport or it's stolen, Isn't it extra rig morale?
Starting point is 00:46:15 Like you've got to cancel. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. My dad threw out my mum's engagement ring. They hit it while they were on holiday, came back, and forgot where they'd hidden it, but then it turns out what that hidden it and dad had tossed away at some stage in a cleaner. Is that insurance, do you reckon? Yeah, yep, with a slight bend on the top.
Starting point is 00:46:35 With I just, yeah, yeah, yeah. My dad loves some cheeky salted nuts. He was eating his nuts. I assume he dropped some off the couch, where I'd leave my air pods, never leave rogue airpods around. Mum put the vacuum cleaner down. Sucked them out. And she's like, it'll just be nuts.
Starting point is 00:46:53 Oh, yeah, it'd just be nuts because dad spilled his bloody salty nuts. You know, dad in his salty nuts. Last night a referee threw away my beliefs, hopes and dreams that it was going to be our year. That was good, good text. Yeah, good with the waz, up the wars. Next year's our year, 2027, mark it in the calendar. I love this. My mum tried to sneakily throw away an ugly jacket of my dad.
Starting point is 00:47:12 You know, we just like, oh, this tape matters into my own hand. He found it in the rubbish bag and put it back in the wardrobe. She found it fuming, so she stuffed it under some stuff on the burn pile where he found it again and said, stop throwing away my jacket and pulls out thousands of dollars in cash that were in the pockets that he was stashing away. Oh my God, she nearly threw away thousands of dollars. In a burn pile. Silly, mum. Also, what was dad doing with that money?
Starting point is 00:47:39 Escape money. He's got a second family. Everyone's got to have escape money. Yeah. My dad threw out my limited edition Fuzzy Bear. Fuzzy Bear from the Muppets, of course. Waka.
Starting point is 00:47:50 24 years ago he threw it out and he said I threw it out because I wasn't a kid anymore. I still haven't moved on. I missed that. Limited edition. Letting that go. You're not letting that go. My friend's dad threw away a hard drive years ago
Starting point is 00:48:02 that had full Bitcoin on it. No. There's that guy, yeah, who millions or something like that. and he recently said, I'm done, I'm done, I'm not going to keep lock. And was he the guy that paid people to look through the rubbish? Yeah. Yeah, the dump.
Starting point is 00:48:17 My dad is probably in the Hamilton landfill as well as my stepmom. Oh no, no, sorry, my dad is probably in the Hamilton landfill as well as my stepmom was robbed years ago and they stole dad's ashes. Oh, that's terrible. God, how many people leading up in the landfill? 96.96. You've got a loved one in the landfill. I've got an air tag in all my loved ones ashes. Ashes.
Starting point is 00:48:37 idea so you can just tag them, nan. And then every couple of years you've got to get the air tagger, blow a bit of nan off and change the battery. Yeah, yeah. That's what she would have wanted. What she would have wanted. Yeah, she loved changing a battery. Yeah. Oh my God. My husband threw away his wallet and all of his cards on a lot of cash into the bin at the cinema
Starting point is 00:48:55 because he wrapped up his ice cream wrapper and just chucked out these. No. Dickhead. Someone was eating ribs at a restaurant so they took off their handed down diamond ring, like family diamond ring, put it on the plate to not get dirty. walked out, never got it back, went the next day, I was like, is there something here?
Starting point is 00:49:10 They're like, no, we clear the plates. You'd go through the rubber, shouldn't you? Aye, aye, aye, yeah, yeah. Just check twice. Somebody said, threw out a whole lot all at once. GHD's contraceptor pill in a hard drive with 10 years of pictures of our children on it. We're moving house, I said to the husband,
Starting point is 00:49:28 the box on the freezer can go. He threw out the bag on the freezer instead. Someone said, R.E. throwing away ashes and hawks bay. just a bit of a follow-up. But there's a company that runs both of those transfer stations that we were talking about, and all the waste is sorted through into corresponding recyclable categories.
Starting point is 00:49:49 There's every chance she was rescued. You're like if they found a thing that was like, mom. And if unable to be returned to the owner, they would have disposed accordingly, perhaps scattered or given to a local. Oh, lovely. So let's just think that's what happened. Yep. The Z&P Podcast Network.
Starting point is 00:50:05 What are we doing after the show today? Oh, we're going to be doing a little bit of planning, a little bit of plotting for the FVH live shows. Wellington, your first, 9th of October? Yeah. It's getting a rehearsal. It's getting serious, isn't I? It's getting bloody serious, we kind of, pots on stage and think we're going to be interesting enough to just sort of fart around for a hour and a bit. I was a big fan of just farting around for an hour and see what happens.
Starting point is 00:50:26 No, no, no, no. 18 days until October the 9th. Yes. Now, our live shows will be kicking off in Wellington on the 9th of October. but then Hamilton on the 10th, that's sold out. Christch still some tickets there on the 16th of October. Yeah, that's right. And then like, it's the high of a show is so great
Starting point is 00:50:48 that afterwards we just want to have a good time. You know what I mean? Like, remember last time we didn't plan it? And then we were sort of all slopping around, walking around the streets lost, ready for fun. And then we ended up getting a kebab, didn't we, and going high? Yeah. And so we simply can't have it.
Starting point is 00:51:05 So this time we've ever. actually organise something with some official FVH live after parties. Yes, so after each show, there will be an official Fletcher One and Haley Live after party. That's right. So your chance to come along. Because last time there was a problem after the show, we needed to clear out. That's right. Because we were doing it.
Starting point is 00:51:28 We wanted to line it. We wanted to meet you all and say hello and give you a hug. But the venues are like, no, we're packing down. and you've only paid for this amount of time. So get out. Get out. Get out. Piss off. And then so we started doing things in groups.
Starting point is 00:51:43 We were like, wouldn't this just be cooler if we got off stage and just met you somewhere else? So you can join us in Wellington. We're going to be dirty little secret after the show at the Opera House, which we love. On the rooftop. I love this place. That's probably my favourite spot in Wellington. I love it. You do feel guilty when you leave and you see your gym there.
Starting point is 00:52:01 You're kind of drinking on top of your gym. You are on top of your own gym. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Should we visit the gym before the show? I don't have a problem. I don't have a problem with that. No, no. No, Jim.
Starting point is 00:52:11 So dirty little secret in Wellington will be the after party. And then Hamilton, Vaughn, your hometown. Yeah. What have you organised us? The bank bar and brazier has a brazier. Brazier. Brazier. Can't say the words.
Starting point is 00:52:23 It's not the bosoms. It's not holds the bosoms because that's what I always get. Yeah. And it's not, I get a little bit excited. The heating thing with the firewood. Brazier. That's a brazier. That's a brazier.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Those are my two things. Brassier. Brarsery. We'll be at the bank bar and brasserie And that'll be after the show in Hamilton It's very close to the actual theatre It's kind of across the road down a little bit And then in Christchurch
Starting point is 00:52:44 We're going to be at Duck Central After our Christchurch town hall show Which we all love So yeah all thanks to Duck Central The place to meet So kind of depending on the start of the show If it's a 7 or a 730 Then we'll be there from 9 or 930
Starting point is 00:52:57 Depending But just after the show Just go and come and have a drink with us And then we can have photos And catch up and have a little giggle You don't need any tickets or anything Just turn up. All those details are at ZM Online.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Super easy. The Z&Cast Network. Play ZM's FlashForn and Haley. It was the idea we got from Instagram, the CRL Pub Crawl, we were like, let's do this for our friend Mike's birthday, and it was so much fun. We just were like, let's use the trains.
Starting point is 00:53:22 We'll go from town, up to K Road. Okay, so that's where you stopped. Yeah, we were in town. While I was talking about you, were going to go to the next stop and start at the horse and trap. No, no, we didn't. We only did the new.
Starting point is 00:53:35 stations. Well, and they exist. Okay, we did three stations. Okay. I mean, if you had all day, you could probably do a lot more. I reckon from that, you could push it out. You could push it out. You could hit Kingsland because there's those bars there. Yes. So my friends... One more at morning side. There's a couple of bars at that end of, you know...
Starting point is 00:53:51 Yeah, I know. My friends, on Saturday night, who I caught up with, had done it from Onihanga. I'll say by the time they'd get onto town... Tanked. I couldn't even understand where they were saying. Yeah. So, we did this. We went and had lunch at 12. In town.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Great way to check out the new stations, which, by the way, the whole, apparently all weekend, the trains were packed. Like, people were just going along and, like, checking it out. Yeah, and I stopped filming some of it and stuff. I just popped up a little reel on my socials, if you want to go look at it, of our CROL Pub crawl. Went up to K Road, spot number two,
Starting point is 00:54:22 came down a little bit, spot number three, right by the other K Road station. That was amazing. What were you guys drinking cocktails or sort of... Cocktails, bubbles. All kinds. All kinds. Yeah, we were just like...
Starting point is 00:54:35 Obviously we were drinking moderately and responsibly. It was very slowly. I was wondering if there was a theme, you know. No, no, no. Cocktails, basically. And then moved down to Glasgow. Fetreso-Marts, having a good time. Get down. We're moving further into Britta Mark, get to the Brit. Sorry, espresso mats.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Yeah. What do you mean? What are you, 22-year-old females? Yes, in our souls, yes. In our souls. 100%. No, we're morning radio presenters at wake up at 4 a.m. It was the moment for a coffee.
Starting point is 00:55:05 I needed the coffee. It was such a great night. End up of the Brit. We're definitely pretty rowdy, having a great time for a birthday. I think was it about 738 that I was like, guys, I'm going home now. I've had enough. Fletch has got his eyes on and I was like,
Starting point is 00:55:19 that's his sign that it's a Friday and he's done. And we were all thinking this is the end of the night. Like it was just perfect, nice and early. Birthday boy, he was singing in a hotel. You know, it was perfect. You leave and then someone just goes, nightcap. One more.
Starting point is 00:55:36 One more bar. And it was on the roof of the hotel they were staying at. And we were like, that's a nice rooftop spot for a nightcap. Let's go. The nightcap. We get there, they're having an event. We lie and say we've been invited to the event. What was the event?
Starting point is 00:55:51 They go, there's free drinks. And we pull up and we go, I was like, yoink. And they say, are you here for the event? I said, yeah. And they said, what event? I said, the gin event, because it's gin. And they were like, hmm. And they gave us gin.
Starting point is 00:56:01 So we were like, perfect. Finally. Yeah, I know. We're at this event and we're there and we're having the best time. And I'm starting to feel that I've been on a session for seven hours. Let's just say for seven hours. And that's when my wrist starts buzzing and it's ringing and it's ringing. And I'm like, who's ringing?
Starting point is 00:56:17 Man, I look down and it's Scott Blanks. So it was the owner and organizer of the comedy club just up the road. And it's when I see his name that I said there's also a series of messages saying, hey, third up. Hey, are you far? Yeah. Hey, where are you? Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring.
Starting point is 00:56:35 And I see it and I just go, oh no, no, no, no. I say to Mike, my boyfriend, who's there, I was like, get on the Comedy Club website, get on the classic website, and find out if I'm on the line up. He was like, what? What? He's like, find out if I'm on the lineup. I'm messaging Scott saying, oh my God, no, no, no, no. And I look at my calendar and I've got, I'm on at the classic,
Starting point is 00:56:54 Friday, Saturday, Friday, two shows. This is Friday, by the way, that this is happening. Because when you said nightcap, I thought we were late. we're talking what time? No, seven, close to eight, getting towards eight. A nightcap for people that have been up since four o'clock. We started at 12, yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:10 This is the best way to do it. I'm on at the classic. So I get on the phone and I'm like, this is my first time talking to a sober person for the night. Let's see how it comes out. And this will determine whether or not I say, listen, mate, I've been on it. I've been going for seven hours.
Starting point is 00:57:24 I can't come or we'll do it. And Mike confirms I am on the line up. I ring Scott. I say, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. He goes, where are you? I'm literally just down Queen Street, the bars at the top,
Starting point is 00:57:34 the clubs at the top of Queen Street. And I just feel this surge of like, I can do this. And I go, I'm a bit of comp, but a liquid courage. Yeah, and I say, I'll be there. And I hang out the phone
Starting point is 00:57:44 and I say to the giggle that's there, I say, change of plans. Put down your free drinks. I'm on at the classic. And they're like, what? And I was like, I've got to go. So we're totling up, we're parading.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Everyone's leading the way. I've got to get there. I'm on the first half. I've got my notes app open. I'm writing jokes. I'm just putting. down a set list. Oh, this is going well.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Like drinking for seven hours. That's when everyone's at their funniest when they're coming up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll come back and I've got 15 minutes, 15 minutes of stand-up. 15 minutes. Yeah, yeah, we're walking. I mean, you weren't like paralytically drunk. It was fine.
Starting point is 00:58:16 No, it was paced. Yeah. I think if I had had a big tight set, I would have said no. But I was like, I think I'm okay. Yeah. And I get up to the green room and there's another comedian there and he's like, holy shit. He was like, do you want me to go first?
Starting point is 00:58:28 I was like, no. I'm going on, Hedder. And I like, look. literally get introduced by the MC and I walk straight on stage and I just, I did a really good job. The gaggle are like crammed into the balcony because it's completely sold out. Yeah, don't do that thing
Starting point is 00:58:41 where you think this is how you should do it from every time now on. Never. You know when you do one thing slightly tipsy one time and you're like, this is how I do it? This is how I have to. No, no, don't. But do you know what was wild as like the gaggle? They were like, how did you do that? We came down and we celebrated with one more drink
Starting point is 00:58:57 at the bar. We're like, here ends the CRL pub crawl at the classic. And then the organiser, Scott comes up behind me. He's like, you're still good to do the 10 show? I'm on the late show. Oh, jeez. I send the giggle home. Yeah, they were saying out for that.
Starting point is 00:59:11 You are released from this problem of mine. Play Z-N's flesh, one and haley. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day. This is a This week's fact of the day This week's fact of the day, of course, is brought to you by St. God damn it, you didn't even give me a chance because I was going to say a listener's idea.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Another great idea for our listeners is go to St. Pierre's. I was going to try something different. You didn't, he forgot. Were you going to be honest? Were you actually planning to do that? No, I was going to do that. No, he wasn't. He didn't have the sheet in front of him
Starting point is 00:59:58 because he doesn't even have it now. But I didn't know to because we're weeks in. I know that today's sushi of the day is eight pieces of delicious terriarchy chicken for $8 40. Was I looking at the script? He wasn't. I memorized it.
Starting point is 01:00:08 Yeah, no, congrats. Mondays terriarchy chicken. Okay, well, I'll tick that up, but I do think you would have forgotten if I haven't. Because you love terriarchy chicken and you are the Monday of people. Don't you speak to your brother like that? He's a Monday, Mom.
Starting point is 01:00:20 Don't you call him names like that. He's a Monday. I will not have that. Well, Sophia's head, I want to know the origins of lots of our traditions because she said, you know, I just heard someone say, oh, wedding, something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Where does that come from? And I was like, well, Sophia, you've done my work for me,
Starting point is 01:00:40 and for that I am eternally grateful. Tradition. Let's look into something old, something new, something borrowed something blue. For a start, the full one is something old, something new, something borrowed something blue, and a six-pence in a shoe. What? What a stupidly long saying. It's so uncomfortable.
Starting point is 01:00:55 Also, I'm wearing a strappy hair. It'll slide out. You've got to get it in there. Yeah. So that was for like prosperity and wealth. Take a little lucky sixpence with you. Yeah, right. But here we go.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I'll break it down one by one. Something old. It represents... My favourite undies. That's what I'd be wearing. Stand by. Oh, really? Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:01:14 You're onto something. You're onto something. Because if it buys like this new lingerie or something. And then you put it on the day. I'm like, ooh. It's like a running event in a brand new shirt. shoes that you haven't worn in. You don't wear brand new undies on your wedding day. No, we're old ones
Starting point is 01:01:26 and then if you were going to have nice sort of connection time, consummation time. Go to the bathroom, put on the nice pair or whatever. Well, something old represents continuity with the bride's family and past traditionally. Do you reckon anyone's got married in Commando? I reckon, probably heaps of people. With no undies?
Starting point is 01:01:43 Brides would as well because of slinky dresses. And I really, well, 9-6-9-6. Brides, because they're often like a silky, tight-hugging thing and you get the VPL, you might go, the commando, but you need to trim the pubes. Well, 966, were you a bridesmaid or in a wedding party with no underwear, please? Or groomsmen? We don't want to exclude anybody here.
Starting point is 01:02:02 Were you a groomsman? Maybe you're a celebrant? You're running the risk of, you know, pumping a seam or, you know, falling over. Just the way that satin snags on a pub. It's like you've got to either be completely bare or a quite full boss. But the full bush will do that thing where it pushes against the satin and creates a sort of a... Cloud. Friends message got married in a couple.
Starting point is 01:02:21 Kilt and that was no undies underneath. Oh you're classic. Yes. Goodness me. But again, you know, one goes to wind. Or one, you know, sit on the seat with a Oh. Well, summer wedding. If it's warm and you're sat at the reception for a long time, you could have sweat marks and you're a nether ridge of this. Yeah, you could.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Anyway, sorry, I agree. Sorry, sorry. Something old, as per a 1898 folklore compilation Summer Gold is specifically a device to ward off the evil eye. Everyone's all about the evil eye again at the moment. Have you seen the blue Have you seen the blue things people are putting in their Instagram bios? These blue circles?
Starting point is 01:02:54 The evil eye. It's the ward off the evil eye. Jesus. Next is we getting a bloody plastic eagle and putting it in the front lawn with sparkly eyes. To stop the birds at the mandarin. Yeah. I will. So it was believed that if the evil eye struck the bride, it would leave her barren.
Starting point is 01:03:09 And of course, nothing more repulsive than a barren woman. The barren woman. Oh. Why would she be getting married? If not. If not. Were a useless womb? So something new was optimism for the future
Starting point is 01:03:21 Usually a dress or a ring So there's like not a lot of folklore Folk Magic behind this one basically You're starting a new chapter But oftentimes the dress itself Could be counted as something new Oh yeah Or something old, you know
Starting point is 01:03:36 Because a lot of people wear their mothers Is all that kind of stuff That would fall under the something old Something borrowed Was something you know Borrowed from a happily married friend You always had to take it You have to take it from a happily married friend by the way
Starting point is 01:03:47 Not your miserable, like, take it from a divorce. Are they happily married on Instagram or real life? No, they're happily married for now. Okay. They're happily married for now. Okay, so here's where your undies story comes in. Because apparently the traditional something borrowed was the bride would borrow the undergarments of a woman
Starting point is 01:04:05 who had been married and already had plenty of children. Worned so her fertility would physically pass to the bride via the magical hagena California. The vagina. The vagina. The vagina. The spirit of the vagina. You know someone's manky undies?
Starting point is 01:04:19 Has she washed her? I don't know. Do you want the fertility or not? No, I think you'd wash the aides. I think the fertility would come out with a personal hot wash. I think it would too. You'll actually find a personal... And a tumbled dry?
Starting point is 01:04:31 Yeah. The cold wash will get rid of as much fertility now because they've really nailed their formula. The formula for the cold wash. To specifically be in the cold wash. I'll only actually have a cold wash. I never do a hot wash. No, neither.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Same. Who hot wash is? Were you trying to destroy fabric? Yeah. Yeah. And then I might treat one of my special towels. That sounded like I was into it. I wasn't.
Starting point is 01:04:52 One of my nice towels to fluff them. That towel that's really hard. No, I don't have that. I've never been into that. When you get out of the pool and he's like, here's a tail and you're like, God, it's like cardboard. It's scratchy. It's criss.
Starting point is 01:05:05 Scratchy. Something blue that was still going. Yeah, well, it's the whole saying. Something old, something new, something borrowed panties. Something blue. It was tied to. the cleanliness and stuff. I'm not clean. I'm wearing some woman's old fertility
Starting point is 01:05:22 panties. Manky fertility panties. Yuck. So it was the colour of love, purity and fidelity and tidal. Tide color. It's a lot of nonsense, all of this. Nothing is made you want to get married less than learning that. And a six minutes in a shoe they got rid of. Right. Six minutes. No, it's not all wedding traditions. Because we use F-Poss now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's paywave. I've got paywave on my Catherine Wilson heels.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Something old and new, something borrowed. something blue and payway the new shoe. On your mepy hatchie. As the saying. So today's fact of the day for Traditions Week is the old wedding saying about old new borrowed blue also includes a sixpence in your shoe. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day. Do do-do do-do-dood-to-do-to-do-to-do-to-do-do-do-do-do do-do. Do do-do do do do.
Starting point is 01:06:13 The Zanen Podcast Network So, Miley, I said Miley Cyrus before, I really apologize. Oh, she's dropped the Cyrus, yeah, of course. Miley, full stop. Is... Miley full stop. I listened to the album over the weekend, bass, persuades. What did you think?
Starting point is 01:06:33 Fun. Yeah, fun album. Yeah, right. Fun. I mean, it's, you know, like it's... I love rock and roll, Miley. You know, when she does Metallica and stuff, I love which is a bit heavier, but,
Starting point is 01:06:43 Her voice is great. It's dancey. It's fun. I really liked it. Okay. So she is engaged to Max, Max Miranda. They've been together for six years and engaged late 2025. And she was talking about this because there's a song on the album called Let's Get Married.
Starting point is 01:07:03 Yep. Not called Matt's called Let's Get Married. And so she's been asked, like, when's this marriage going to happen? And she said, she's just like a little bit nervous because she loves Max. he's never given her the ick. And she's like, something in my head tells me, like, him being a husband is going to ick me. And so she's like, I don't want to get married because what if I get the ick? Then being like, ooh, look at you.
Starting point is 01:07:25 And you're like, so, and now we're getting married. And now you're my husband, ick. And I was like... Isn't that just all relationships after a while? Yeah, we're thin, Miley. But, like, I want to know when you got the ick later in the relationship. Because we talk about the ick. When you get that feeling, we're just like, oh, God, we know.
Starting point is 01:07:42 You're out on a couple of days. and they do something, you're like, I can't move past that now. That's early stage you're getting to know someone, so they've got something. Well, the first time you go to their house and you're like, oh, oh no. Or I've seen his socks now. You know, I've seen his toes. Have you been hiding all of your ex from your current girlfriend? No.
Starting point is 01:07:58 No, he shares his ex and she's like into them. It's weird, isn't it? Wow, that's, yeah. I can't explain it. Even the old undies. She's seen the old undies. Yeah, she's seen the old undies. Yeah, she's seen the old undies.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Yeah, she's seen the old undies. Because I did Mike's, um, washing the other day, like, because he's been staying. and I was washing and then I did it. He's been staying. He's been staying. How often? Frequently. When hasn't he been staying?
Starting point is 01:08:21 He will probably have one night apart this week. No, you won't. Maybe. No, you won't. Because it'll get to like 9 o'clock. You'll be like, what are you? Come over. What are you doing?
Starting point is 01:08:30 But I was doing his washing and I was folding it up and stuff and I, and it was a socket. Oh. Because we know. With him to the gym. You remember I threw out my sockets years ago because we're on the cruise socks now. We're on the cruise socks now. Yeah. And I like,
Starting point is 01:08:43 They had to process this, you know? It's a lot to process. It's a lot to work with. I don't know where I've landed. Kind of shoe does he wear them with? The gym show, like a sport shoe, like a gym. We don't do that anymore. We don't do that anymore.
Starting point is 01:08:55 I don't know. I'm like, where do I go from here? Is it over? Is it over? Well, TBC life. But I want to know when did you, it's like, we're talking about these early icks, but when was it later? And maybe you just saw something with your husband or your wife or your long-term partner and went,
Starting point is 01:09:10 oh God. Oh, God, he's it to me. That's what I want to know. Okay, 0800 dials at M. Give us a call. You can text through 9-6-96. Did you get the ick deep into a relationship? Yeah, maybe it's just something now that you put up with your current partner
Starting point is 01:09:24 and you love them. You love them to death. But there's a couple of things they do and you're just like, no. Maybe you saw them like run, you know, for the first time. Some people can't run. And you're like, or when you see someone throw something for the first time? Yeah, you're like, that's insane. That's weird sometimes.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Because some people can't throw. and they just throw weird. It's one more. Yeah, yeah. It's an act for me. What have you done there? Straight men need to be able to throw. The gays are exempt.
Starting point is 01:09:51 They've got other things to do. The gays are exempt. They can pick up the lack of throwing in other departments, but straight men must be able to throw. Okay, 0800,000, 966. Give us a call or text. Did you get the ick deep into your relationship? Kylie, what happened? My partner's decided to say toilet rather than toilet.
Starting point is 01:10:11 Oh my God, toilet. Toilet. Going toilet. Did you not notice this early in the relationship when you were dating? I did notice it, but it was tolerable until we had our kids. And it got more noticeable when our eldest started toilet training. Tollet. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:27 Did you need to go toilet? Do you need to go toilet? Tollet. And it's, yeah, our oldest now correct them to know, dad, it's toilet, not toilet. Big fat eye in the middle there. Do you reckon this is something coachable? You know, men that's so coachable, Kylie. Could you work this out?
Starting point is 01:10:42 I think I've managed to coach him on many other things So this is an X in line Toy, yeah Got eyes T-O-Y L-I-T toilet Good luck to you Kylie Hannah joins us
Starting point is 01:10:52 Hannah when did you get the ick Deep into a relationship Okay so my husband and I have been married For about 12 years now And he decided Quite well into the relationship That he wanted to be a policeman Yep
Starting point is 01:11:07 So I helped him train For the PAT test for the RUES for the RUES for the run, he did really well, did all of that, and then it came to the swimming test. Now, he had told me that, because I grew up with a boat and doing water sports and life-saving, he told me that he grew up with a boat as well. They'd go to the lake, blah, blah, blah, that's cool. So we got to the swimming test, and he had to tread water, I think it, for about two to three minutes, which is the first part.
Starting point is 01:11:38 Yeah, treading water in general is an ick. Yeah, I mean, yeah, but especially if you can't. So he proceeded to drown for about three minutes. Okay, great. I went to support him and watched the whole thing happen. Great. And didn't know where to look or what to say. And the man with the clipboard kept looking at me like, should I...
Starting point is 01:12:02 Rescue him. Do something? Is this guy going to die? And then it gets worse. We went to do the freestyle, and he had to do it. lengths of the pool and he kept standing up. Yeah. To take a breath.
Starting point is 01:12:18 Wow. Okay. Heck. Yeah. I died. I died. I passed away. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:25 Yeah. Did he get into the police? No. No. He can't bloody swim horn. You need to be able to swim. What is? He doesn't need to swim to be a police officer.
Starting point is 01:12:34 He got the cars. You're on land. Yeah. Just don't go into the boating division. No. Yeah. That's right. If somebody falls into a river, just I guess you're with someone else.
Starting point is 01:12:44 I guess that's it. Yeah, all the edge. Yeah. Brilliant, Hannah. So good. Thank you. Let's go to Anonymous. Anonymous.
Starting point is 01:12:52 When did you get the ick with a partner deep in? Sorry, babe, if you're listening, but we've been together 10 years. Yeah. We're playing with the kids on the floor. And I don't know what happened, but he just got on all fours. Yeah. Arched his back and led out the biggest fart. And it just said.
Starting point is 01:13:09 given my fine. Like, I honestly could not make eye contact for the rest of the day. Did it get on all force specifically to fart? Or did it just... Yes, no, I think it was specifically to fart. I didn't even know. I didn't even ask questions.
Starting point is 01:13:26 I just removed myself on the room. And I'm still thinking about it a few days later. No. It wasn't nice. I'm sorry you had to witness that anonymous. It's a grown man, though, isn't it? All fors. I mean, farting is one thing.
Starting point is 01:13:39 you know, we're here now 10 years in, but on all fours and arching the back. Is that what they call and count as irreconcilable differences? Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course for divorce. Yeah, cause for divorce. As we were getting married, we're not now, honestly. Yeah, exactly, yeah, don't worry. Anonymous, thank you for sharing.
Starting point is 01:13:56 That must have taken a lot of courage as well. Good question, yeah, good question here from the producer girl. Is they want to know if he arched up or down? It was like a downward dog. Yeah, no. Yeah, that's icky. That's even more act. No, way icky here to go higher.
Starting point is 01:14:14 Taylor Swifted, yeah. Yeah. I know what you remember on the Taylor Swift. Yuck. I don't know how I feel now. Some other icks coming on in on the text for shame. You'd never have sex with him again, would you ever, anonymous? No, I know.
Starting point is 01:14:26 Never again. You probably would, but you'd probably have to be the dominant half after he sort of showed a soft belly like that. Listening to Joe Rogan and believing everything he says has become my partner, Zick. That's a tough one. Ooh, yuck. My partner walked in in padded bike shorts with suspenders on to keep them up. Yeah, that's yuck. That's yuck.
Starting point is 01:14:49 He clipped potting. What do they think of these new pants? Ten years in and I watched my inflexible husband do reformer Pilates. Spend the hour internally gagging, wondering how I leave with the three kids. Yeah. But you know what? It's someone that's not very flexible. You've got to start somewhere.
Starting point is 01:15:08 Of course you do, but I just don't need to see it. You start somewhere on your own. Yeah. Yeah. My husband 11 years wants crox. Definitely gets the ick. Every time he says I want crox, I said, is this your way of asking for a divorce? No, you know what?
Starting point is 01:15:20 You come around to crocs. You come around to crocs. We've all got them at our front doors. Dude, I've got a pair of crocs at each major door in my house. I've got three pairs of crocs, all ready to go at any minute. Could pop out to the garage? It's a weird flex. It's a weird flex.
Starting point is 01:15:34 It's a weird flex. I got a black pair or white pair and a Star Wars pair. When did you get that egg deep? into a relationship. So many great text stuff flowing in. Someone said three words, happy baby pose.
Starting point is 01:15:45 Is that another yoga pose? Yeah. I mean, you're not complaining while we're chopping firewood. It's not ready. We're not flexing. We can't flex over ourselves
Starting point is 01:15:54 and all of a sudden we're icky. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Somebody, other ones said, married since 2015, and last year he decided to start make Pokemon Go. Oh, okay. It's a great way to get out
Starting point is 01:16:07 and get some exercise and see your neighbourhood. could and claim a Pokemon gym. Yeah, true. Get a bit of a... What do you laugh again? I also walked to the house one day and heard, babe, babe, come here.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Coming from the bathroom. So go over and it's my partner there sitting butt naked on the toilet as he's about to take a shower, but he's eating a mandarin taking a dump. He asked me a bunch of questions, and honestly, I was dry-wretching seeing this man whole hog naked, happily to just yap while pooping with the door open and a mandarin. Why?
Starting point is 01:16:33 Do you think that just naked on the toilet? So vulnerable? Somebody else said, I walked in and my partner sitting down on the toilet. I was like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. And he's like, it's all right, I'm just peeing. Instant ick. Oh, sitting down.
Starting point is 01:16:44 Yeah. Someone said so hypothetically, let's say for one matter or not, we're both taking peptides. Maybe we are, maybe we're not. You'll never know. Okay. And we all know these reduce your dopamine so cravings for food goes, but so has the cravings for your partner. Oh. But it's fine because both of us now just look at each other and get the ick.
Starting point is 01:17:03 And we lay in bed as skinny queens and cross our feet over for the touch of intimacy. see that's all we desire, still love each other, of course. I didn't know the pepitas were going to cost me that. I'm sorry? I'm not on the peptides. We're not in a lot. We're three people who are absolutely, you know, getting it more than ever before. Let's stay chonky.
Starting point is 01:17:21 Let's stay chonky. Are we agree? Do we agree? Agree? Truees. Three, two, one, truce. We're staying chonky. I'm happy with my decision.
Starting point is 01:17:30 Yeah. Love. Okay, great. Yeah, yeah. For me, it's always the edgy, the daggy gym gear. Like, just can you please. spend some of our money and buy some new gym get.
Starting point is 01:17:41 So I got the ick when the wind blew his hat off at the gas station and he chased it. Oh yeah. Chasing something that blows away is the most horrible thing to do. Because it goes left and right. And then it's stop and you're about to pick it up and then it goes again. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:56 I love my husband with all my heart but he changes the radio station or any button in the car. He does it with his middle finger and it gives me the ick. Oh, why would you do that? I do that. Why would you do that? I don't know. Yeah, I think I do.
Starting point is 01:18:07 Tuck in old pointy and give middle finger a guy. Just want to rest your index finger. Maybe. Yeah, give a rest. I saw my husband of eight years boogie boarding for the first time this past summer. Man, it made me question my decision. Someone said my husband got into fly fishing and the waiters are such a big ick. His big wet pants.
Starting point is 01:18:26 Oh. You know the waiters? Yeah, yeah, yeah. When you go swimming with the guy and he comes up out of the water wiping his eyes, it's like, don't be a little bitch. Instant ick. My husband and sister I'm wearing a puffer vest at all times.
Starting point is 01:18:39 Oh, not a puffer vest. A puffer vest. A pletch wears a puffer vest sometimes. Yeah, he does. You like a puffer vest. Yeah, I've got my winter puffer vest. Yeah. Yeah, but it looks cool.
Starting point is 01:18:46 But I thank God the arms aren't getting too hot. Yeah. I hate that. You've got to keep those vital organs, thirsty warm, but God forbid the extended, you know, limbs. Excuse me, it is perfect for an Auckland winter. It is. It is.
Starting point is 01:18:56 It is actually, Auckland. In Auckland. Went to never gets that cold. And great for an autumn and spring. Thank you. So, into a six-year marriage I went to hospital and my wife couldn't come in and visit me. I was so unwell. She never supported me when I was unwell. We've separated now.
Starting point is 01:19:12 No. I shouldn't really love me. Yeah, it's that hard. So when you say she wouldn't, I thought you'd be met, she couldn't come in a visit. She wouldn't come in and visit you. I've got to go see your partner. Yeah, good on you for getting rid of that. The little half-circled tan line from his cap on the back of his bald hair just started giving me the oak. Oh. Star Wars and Simpsons, clothing and shoes has given me to it. Yes. I do my partner's washing. Every time I see skids in his undies. I get
Starting point is 01:19:35 the ick, ooh, you dirty hoo-ah. Yeah, do your own washing, I reckon. Yeah, yeah. The ZN Podcast Network. Play ZDN's Fletch, Forne and Haley. There are some signs that you may be way more attractive than you think you are. And what a shame would be not to recognise
Starting point is 01:19:56 that you are actually hot this whole time? Wouldn't it be better, though, to be, it's like, you know, anything in life, it's better to under, you know, under promise and over-deliver. Yeah, for sure. rather be less hotter than you are, think you are? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:10 Because if you think you're hot, you're going to be arrogant. But you're enjoying the life of someone who's hot, even if you're not, which is a good way to live. Most people would probably underrate themselves. And when you see someone who overrates themselves, boy, you can tell. You can. So there's size behind this, there's things called the Halo Effect, which is someone really, attractiveness making people behave differently towards you. Right.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Which hot people listening will know where we have lived with us our whole life. Yeah, I was a Victoria's Secret model, like... That's right. Very young. From a baby. No. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:43 And so I've just grown up with the hotness. I said it's inappropriate to have that baby in lingerie. Fletcher's parents said, no. He must walk. That is an angel. A former I've seen one. He was like, oh! That was so heavy.
Starting point is 01:20:54 I just grew up on the catwalk. So I've just been incredibly good looking, my whole life. Yeah, your parents would lure you down the catwalk with a lollip. Yes. And you'd toddle down there and just as they're about to get it, they'd pull it out. and be like, no, you'll get fat.
Starting point is 01:21:05 Yeah, spin around. I know. Spin around and walk back. Yeah, well, you would have experienced a lot of these things, but maybe you and yourself you think, oh, I'm not that attractive, but there are some signs that people are really drawn towards you. Here are some signs that you are more attractive than you think you are. Fletch, obviously, this doesn't apply to you.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Well, I'll pretty tune out just because I am so attractive. That's okay, you take a break. That's all. I'll take a break. You should listen more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe I'm not as minging as I think. Here are some top signs that you may not be as much as much.
Starting point is 01:21:34 Minger as you think you minger. Okay. Strangers immediately overshare their life story with you. They're drawn towards you. They just want to tell you more than just an appropriate amount. Then, hey, how are you? You know, little bits. Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:21:47 You get to the good stuff. Yeah, they're just sort of, they're drawn to you like, oh my gosh, I need to be able to, like, connect this person more. When you walk into a room, people's faces light up. They're stoked that you're there. Yeah. Does that happen? Vaughn. Vaughn.
Starting point is 01:22:00 Vaughn and their faces light up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey. Hey. Could be your great personality that you've developed because you're a minger. Or it could be that you're not as mingery. Yeah. Could be either of those.
Starting point is 01:22:12 When you're talking to them, their lips may part a while. May I go just slightly. Because in their head are they imagining doing things to you? They could be thinking about kissing you. It could be a subconscious attraction. Or apparently, your beauty, which Fletch you'll know. Sorry, I'll go to. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Sorry. Your beauty that you were so unaware of, Vaughn, is making them nervous and so they're literally, their body is trying to get more oxygen. They cannot breathe in there around you. So you're physically creating a response in them. Have you noticed that at all when people talk to you that?
Starting point is 01:22:44 I have. Yeah. That people are gasping for air. Yeah. You could be so much hotter than you think you are. Because people are like, oh my God, when they're around you. Acquaintances remember small specific details about you. Basically, you're memorable.
Starting point is 01:22:59 You get micro attention in public. Double takes. Have you had double-to- what is the song? What is that? Raised eyebrows, lingering looks from strangers. Bit of that. Oh, but of that. Do you get those?
Starting point is 01:23:12 Yeah. Vaughn Yon. Do you? You're probably hot. This is probably why. I don't think I can see it because of the kid's a sibling-like relationship, but 9-6-9-6 is Vaughn actually hot? Maybe we've got wrong this whole time.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Is the face not a problem anymore? 9-6-9-6 is born hot. You're constantly invited to social things. You get complimented and you're in vibe. I invite it all the time and I don't go. Yeah. You get compliment. on your vibe and your energy?
Starting point is 01:23:34 All the time. Rather than your looks. Rather than your looks. Because why would we compliment your looks? It's so obvious. Yeah, of course. You've got a great energy. Yeah, you provoke polarised reactions.
Starting point is 01:23:44 People either love you or hate you. There's no in between. If they hate you. If they hate you, they are jealous of you. Of course they are. Yeah. That makes perfect sense. Yeah, isn't that crazy?
Starting point is 01:23:56 Some narcissists would read this list and be like, all of it. Yeah, they would. So here's the last one, which is an interesting. one, the eye-lip-eye triangle. Someone into you looks left eye, lips, right eye, lips. Left eye, lips.
Starting point is 01:24:12 Because they're imagining. That's so interesting. Because they're going, I'm listening. Oh my God, I'm distracted. I'm listening. I'm also imagining what I'm going to do to your face when I'm kissing. Is that a mouth? And I'm back of the eyes because it's appropriate. Now I'm back at the mouth. Get out of the eyes. And the mouth.
Starting point is 01:24:28 Okay, well, there you go. I'm just going to check the text machine. 9-6-9-6 is on hot. I'm not a single text. Which one has it worn? Is it broken? The text machine. No, someone said...
Starting point is 01:24:38 I got called Fletch yesterday. Did you? Yeah, we were walking back from the Waz. Someone said Fletch and my daughter spun around and said, It's Vaughn. They were tired. They were tired. The sess.
Starting point is 01:24:51 They were tired. I apologize. Whoever that is, usually I handle it a little nicer. The ZM Podcast Network. Play ZM's Fletch, Vaughan and Haley. Now, we want to know now. O800 dials at Amazon number. 9-696 and we are looking I guess hopefully for those lighthearted funny stories.
Starting point is 01:25:09 Yeah. In Thailand, Adros Townsend is an ex-UK football player. He's playing in the Thailand League and he has been run over by some rogue groundskeeper on some pitch roller. Yeah, it's a pitch roller but it looks home-built. It's like a wild piece of machinery. You normally see them at the cricket. I didn't think they use them. The ones in the cricket are really slow.
Starting point is 01:25:36 They look like a sort of a scaled down version of a road roller. They just go slow and they roll it and they go back and forth. This thing looks like some motorbike but they've replaced the front wheel with a massive concrete roller and this guy staring on the roller. It's a converted to-top. It's a converted to-tock-toe. And he's out on the field, he's out of control. That's what it looks like.
Starting point is 01:25:55 It looks like the Flintstones Mobile. Look. It's got the Flintstone's roof and it's got the two rollers. and it's got a little engine that powers it along. It is flying. Faster than I've ever seen any roller, and it straight up just runs him over. It hits him, he puts his, it's like he's doing,
Starting point is 01:26:12 he's not doing shuttle runs, but you know when you do the end of the shutter and you put your leg out? Skid. And the roller just runs right up that leg that's extended. It's crazy to watch. Why is he doing it while players are on the pitch? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:26:21 That feels like after. Breakneck speed. That feels like afterwards we fix the field. Someone's getting fired for this. He's getting fired for this. Oh, dude. He's gone, burgers. Is the player okay? Is he injured?
Starting point is 01:26:31 Serious injury, but he is, he is injured because he got run over by a roller. Their heavy A.F, right? Well, they have to be, yeah? Yeah, well, touch wood, I've never had, like, I know people that have had their toes, like their shoes been too close to the tire of a car. I've never been run over. I've never been run over by a trailer. I was, dad was tying a trailer through a paddock behind the car.
Starting point is 01:26:56 Yeah. And I was on the front of the trailer and I was standing. We hit a bump and I just went over the front and under the trailer. And I remember it going doof and hitting my head. Well, it explains a lot, doesn't it? Explains a lot. Everything has landed for me now. I got in trouble.
Starting point is 01:27:11 I got a smack for not sitting down on the trailer. Why did you get a smack? Because he wasn't going to accept responsibility for that. Mum was yelling. So he made it my fault. 80s and 90s perioding is wild. So this is what we want to know. Have you been run over?
Starting point is 01:27:25 And obviously you've lived to tell the tale because you're listening now. Oh yes please. Maybe it was a slow rolling car because you lift a handbrake off. Yeah. Or... Maybe it was like a little, like a little jeepy thing, you know, like a little mud runner thing. Yeah. You know, keep it light.
Starting point is 01:27:41 Yeah, keep it light. I mean, yeah. Oh, 800 dials at Amazon number. 9-696 to text in. When were you run over? Oh, not in Mount Munga, no. Someone's been run over in the Mount? Oh, it's...
Starting point is 01:27:53 Yes. No. Who's also in the Mount? The elderly. Georgia, have you ever been run over? My toes have. Too close to the car? Yeah, too close to the car when I think it was my brother was reversing, I think.
Starting point is 01:28:08 Maybe it would be actually swerved slightly to the right, I don't know. Yeah, Cameron joins us. Cameron, when were you run over? Good morning, guys. Good morning. A top notch actually for a Monday. Not bad. That's good. Yeah, same.
Starting point is 01:28:23 Well, how are you? Yeah, no, actually that was ruined. How are you? Yeah, how are you? I'm good. I'm in the same. suddenly you've mastered them, getting to the quarries,
Starting point is 01:28:30 so not too bad. You're going to know the quarry? Yes, I'm in the truck. Okay, do you get to blow any, are you just picking up the rocks or do you get to blow stuff up? Do they still blow, do they use dynamite? No, I'm just a truck driver.
Starting point is 01:28:45 Okay. Do you know if they still blow up stuff in the quarries, or do they have to, do they get it another way? They do. Do they? It's controlled demolition, yeah. You should get involved that, man. I want to press that button.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Same. What's your favourite? No, that's a car show. What's your favourite gap gravel? Like, what number's your favourite? We do it different. Are you standard 40 or 65 or... 40 or 65?
Starting point is 01:29:12 Yeah, I'm calling rip rap, rip, rap, like the big hundred... Yeah, that's big dog. I'm a small-time guy. I'm a gap 20. Is this how big the stones are? Yeah, the rocks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a gap.
Starting point is 01:29:25 Yeah, you've got it for. Yeah, general all parts and... General all past 20 mil. Great for packing. Yeah, right. Is anyone else just all of a sudden really horny? Yeah, I'm pretty horny for rocks.
Starting point is 01:29:36 I'm pretty horny for rocks. Cameron, what... Might have to pull over, actually. Yeah, same. Same as you're probably got a beard in your truck. Yeah, dirty bars. Now, Cameron, when did you get run over? Tell us what happened.
Starting point is 01:29:48 So it wasn't really a car, but it was a foot whacker. It was my first, like, month on the job. And I was compacting a trench-wise. Jack Hammer-style, petrol, I would fall back of that. Oh, you see the road workers. You see the road workers using this? Yes.
Starting point is 01:30:04 And I put a steel-toed boots and it squashed it. And squashed the steel-to. Oh, my God. Did it mangle your foot, Cameron? Nah, no, my book for her a little bit. I just, yeah. Okay. I can't remember if I got a new boot or just.
Starting point is 01:30:20 Did it run your phone over? Yeah, God. Well, this is why? No, I lost many baits under a roller. Hate it Some people do those on YouTube The videos, don't they? They run over things on it
Starting point is 01:30:33 And the roll-oids amazing videos Cameron, thank you very much Solid die on the quarry, mate Yeah, have a fantastic day Thank you Cameron Thanks, thanks, there we go Let's go to Kaylee Kaley, when were you run over?
Starting point is 01:30:45 Well, hey guys, how are we? Really good, thank you. Terrible, but I want to talk about it. How are you, Kaylee? I'm all good, I just got home from the physio Oh, yeah, what's wrong? Yeah, what's wrong? What part?
Starting point is 01:30:56 I've got those dreaded shin splints, you know? Don't run. Don't run. Sounds like you've got to get into cycling or swimming, Kaylee, instead. I'm a cricket player, so it's really not a good thing they're able to have. Yeah, you got to run. Could you be one of those fielders who just stands at the back, so I've got it if it comes this way? Yeah, they've got to move it, though.
Starting point is 01:31:14 It's nonchalant, no running. No, they're going to move it. They're going to haul ass if there's a four running for like, you know, leg end. No, but it's always the slips. The slips get off without running a lot. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:25 Look at a kid. They do bugger all, don't they? Just out of the back. So when did, were you run over by a pitch roller, Kaylee? No, fortunately not, because those are around cricket grounds a lot. I was actually run over by my grand on her mobility scooter. Wait, how small were you? I was like 10 years old.
Starting point is 01:31:47 Oh, my God. Not that small. Did you go under the wheels? I crashed off my scooter, just, you know, your normal scooter. like she just yeah I don't know where I keep going and she's like back and forward across my back and my legs now but she would have been panes stop her because she would have been panicking right oh no
Starting point is 01:32:07 we had to get her to stop and I had to crawl out because she just couldn't figure it out that's brilliant that's so good are you right now or do you reckon that's what gave you the shin splints yes yes lingering effects no I'm all right I just still bring it up to her to this and she just got, Kaylee, got to stop that. I don't let it go.
Starting point is 01:32:29 No, you don't feel so terrible. I get it written in the will. Yeah, exactly. Kaylee, thank you, Sam. When were you run over? Good morning, guys. Well, of all, you've asked everybody else how they were. How are you, Sam?
Starting point is 01:32:42 Oh, fine, thank you. Very good. Yeah, lovely. What are you about to say? Oh, long time listener, first time caller. Welcome. Welcome, Sam. Lovely to have you here.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Lovely, thank you very much. Love to have you. What were you? Yeah, I was in, um, Fiji on a family holiday about 20 years ago and I was kayaking very nice I was kayaking with my sister
Starting point is 01:33:00 in a bay and I saw a speedboat coming towards us and I was like oh I'll just stay here he'll see us and go around Of course he will yeah yeah you'd think so So as it got close I realised he wasn't deviating course And was basically coming straight for me so I tried to jump out the way but I ended up going under the boat
Starting point is 01:33:20 He didn't get hit by the propelled They do a damage. I did. You did? How badly did it cut you? I needed pretty immediate first stage, but yeah, they basically pulled me onto the boat and took me back to the island, had some first aid, and then had to get taken to the mainland on a ferry to get stitched up. Oh, my God. That's where I like to get all my stitching up done in a Fiji.
Starting point is 01:33:46 Fijian hospital. Oh, sorry. It was a terrifying ambulance ride of my entire life. I bet. They're like, we're going to give you something for the first. pain and it's a Fiji bitter, you know. Some carver. Okay, we'll hit the carver.
Starting point is 01:33:58 So, wait, so the person that ran you over had to put you on the boat to then save you? Yeah, there were passengers on board, so they kind of pulled me on. And, yeah, my poor sister had to, like, furiously, like, paddle herself back to the beach. Did they don't pull her back on? Did you get any sorry out of them? No, the driver of the boat actually had to go into hiding because it was quite a small island and my dad wanted to have some words. Yeah, I bet he did.
Starting point is 01:34:27 Yeah, I bet he did. Wow, do you still have a scar to this day? Yeah, yeah, still got some scars, but yeah, no long-lasting issues. Amazing. Wow. Incredible. Sam. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:34:37 Some quick text messages. Gary McCormick's mother ran over my brother, ran over his head. Somebody said. Oh, well, that's... I don't know if you name. Well, no, they have named them. They said it was a whole thing. It was a whole thing.
Starting point is 01:34:49 It was a whole thing. Wow. Somebody else. My uncle, when I first met him, the first time I ever met him, he tried to run me over, and he said it was just a joke, and I need to calm down. I fell asleep underneath a vehicle at my friend's party, and I woke up, and the owner of the vehicle was leaving, reversing over me.
Starting point is 01:35:04 Luckily, I'd fallen asleep in the dead center of the vehicle, so all the tires missed me. Jesus. There's so many, my husband, Torr's ACL, couldn't drive, so he had taxi rides funded through ACCC. One taxi driver picked him up to take him to Physio, was driving erratically on the way there when he dropped them off. My husband hadn't even closed the car door and he was backing out and he ran him over.
Starting point is 01:35:25 So then he went into the physio and said, I'm here for one thing, but I'll get you and have a look at another at the same time. I was once I thought my brother was having a heart attack one day. I found him holding his chest, gasping for air. Turn out, he'd just run himself over with his own work van. He lived. Where'd the van go? What did he just left down a bank?
Starting point is 01:35:41 Left a handbrake off or something? Yeah, just rolled up down a bank. I was 12 was on a pedestrian crossing. I got hit by a car. And the car person got out and was like, I'm so sorry. It turns out that'd been shunted by a bus. They put on the brakes and the bus, just shunted them straight into the pedestrian crossing and into somebody. Guys, be safe out there.
Starting point is 01:35:56 You've got to be safe out there. The ZN Podcast Network, play Z-N's Fletch for Hon and Haley. Big day for your mouth today. Fletch. It is a big day for my god. Because I'm going to the hygienist. Can you have some respect? They listen in the morning.
Starting point is 01:36:13 Do they? Good morning to the... Good morning, Luminow Man Edom. There you go. And I've just clocked. that they listen. So now, Luminum, An Eden,
Starting point is 01:36:22 stop listening for like two minutes. I just need to admit something. Do you remember last week, I was really, really busy and had this really tight schedule and then I got to the hygienist and they were like, no, hon. You're a week early?
Starting point is 01:36:33 No, they were like, that's tomorrow. Couldn't make tomorrow, they rebooked me, that's today. Problem being. And I've got to admit this, and I'm just a person, I'm just one of you. Yeah. I've been so slack on flossing.
Starting point is 01:36:45 Oh, yeah, okay. I'd say for this whole year, and I'll get in, and I'll go through a period and then I'll forget. Yeah. So last week, when I thought it was my hygienist, I've been building up to it. I've been floss and nonstop ready to go.
Starting point is 01:36:57 Yeah. And then since my forgotten appointment and the delay to today, I stopped flossing. You only need to do the morning of your appointment. You don't need to do a year leading up. 9-6, luminon, is that in fact true? Do you know how you,
Starting point is 01:37:11 to always talk about, and I guess it's Lumino that told you that the spinny automatic battery brush, it's got a name, electric toothbrush. Yeah. The spinny one. automatic battery brush? No. Great name.
Starting point is 01:37:21 It's new name. It's new name. You know how they were like, oh, it's like a chainsore on your gum? You know, that's what my... Your sense is. My viewers, reiterated it.
Starting point is 01:37:29 I'm a recedar. Yeah, and mine said, starting using a softer. You're not using electric A. And I said, no. And they're like, so you've got to go softer. You've got to go hard.
Starting point is 01:37:36 So somebody else went to a friend who works at a dentist and she's like, oh, no, I'm not using that electric toothbrush. I got rid of it. And they said, oh, don't believe everything you read online. Electric toothbrushes are good.
Starting point is 01:37:45 They said, no, I didn't hear it online. I heard it on the radio. Fletch, Warren Haley was saying how bad electric toothbrushes are. Oh, no. And she would have been like, what do they know? But that's what my dentist said. I know. And now, apparently, there's these two camps of dentists.
Starting point is 01:37:57 Oh. Wow. The pros of the, the falls and against. So I'm in a, I'm an against, I've got an a dentist. A dentist. A dentist. A dentist, dentist. She's a dentist.
Starting point is 01:38:08 A dentist dentist dentist. But no, but my gums do recede and they, yeah, we're literally like, it is your toothbrush. And you've got to go softer. You've got to go soft. And not. and not and like my thing is like I'm always in a hurry of teeth like just going for it. So the thing is like even with your brushing
Starting point is 01:38:22 when I last went to the hygienist they put this purple stuff on and it shows you. It shows up all the bits where you don't claim properly and she was literally like holding the mirror up and she was like no you could see it. And all the front was nice and wasn't showing up any purple.
Starting point is 01:38:42 And then you go to the sign and she's like you might want to brush it at the beach. back. I was like, yeah. I'm so looking forward to the hygienist. I love going, but I am constantly embarrassed. Because yours is water blasting, eh? Yeah, I get the sandblast. Mine's a pick, mine's a old school pick and a bit of bleed
Starting point is 01:38:57 and a bit of, yeah, no, it's worth paying a bit of extra money for the blast. Yeah, it's just softer. Like a little day spa for your mouth. Well, Lerminame Mount Eden, I'm coming in hot, guys. I haven't floss really. And when I get there and I say, yeah, I floss every day. I just want to, I'm lying. And we're going out for some, we're going out for some
Starting point is 01:39:15 breakfast before that, so you'll probably have a couple of seeds from the multi-grained bread. For the multi-grain toast. There's probably egg residue. Yeah, there'll be tribes in there, mate. I'm sorry. See you, see you later. Actually, I'm going to have to stop you there. That's copyrighted.
Starting point is 01:39:28 Suelly case, she's a very good friend of mine. She's already sued me twice. So if you could maybe get her to drop her litigious action, that would be great. Tell her, I'll review her five stars. Yeah. If she does the same for this podcast. Yeah. And then she tells all her friends.
Starting point is 01:39:40 And if you're listening, maybe give it five stars as well. Play ZM's Fletchhorn and Haley. Thank you.
