Starting point is 00:00:00 from the ZM Podcast Network. This is... Fleshwon and Haley's Big Pod. Thanks to animates, making happy happen for pets. Happy Friday, welcome to the show, Fletch Fawn and Haley. And a big good morning to our good mate Zainey.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Yeah, Zane's on the road. Zane's on the road. He's going too fast. Slow down. Listen to the radio show this morning. And of course, Trimden. Zane, like you and I, South Africa. Yor.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Yor. Where they're all blacks playing this way. I think it's a 3 a.m. game on. That's an absolute big fat no from me. I'll be watching, but it's always so hard. For me, as a South African who moved to New Zealand, I never know. Who am I going for? I just go, who wins?
Starting point is 00:00:44 And then I'll get full support. That's literally what my dad's done forever. Oh, really? Living in New Zealand forever. We'll just go for whoever wins out of England or New Zealand. Yeah, can't lose. Well, luckily I know how to turn off my accent if I need to. and I can put on my Kiwi one like this
Starting point is 00:01:01 if the All Blacks do well. I don't think people realize this is just my radio voice. But when I'm off here, it really comes out, doesn't it? Actually, I feel like Zane could make us a good brach. This weekend, you know, to celebrate. Yor. Well, do you know what?
Starting point is 00:01:17 I was thinking, I mean, you've been barbecuing. Didn't you barbecue the other night? Yeah, man, we barbecued all through winter. I was getting excited for summer because 37 days until daylight savings. Oh, that's good. That's good, eh? I can do that. That's light at the end of the tunnel kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:33 That's a couple of weeks. Yeah. Coming up, tosses, eight o'clock, your chance to win cash. It's heads or tails. We'll give you $100 to start with. Double it. Double it again. Double it again.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Again, I'll reiterate. We played off air and I got to, what was it? 6,400 before. I lost it all. It is possible. I mean, if you were sitting on 3,000 summit, you're not going to gamble that. It's going to be a bold.
Starting point is 00:01:58 person who goes beyond three, but got on them. Well, you chance to call through and play at 8 o'clock. The top six is coming up. I'm told, slogan T-shirts are making a return. Oh, mate. Soprey is fizzing. Oh, yeah. There wasn't really inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Yeah, man. Supre slogan T-shirts. Really inappropriate. Can I remember the ones I got... I can remember one and I might put it on the top six, because I've got the top six slogan T's that I'd like to see make it return. Wow. Huge fan of a slogan T.
Starting point is 00:02:28 some old mates they haven't left. I love them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love them. Next on the show. Does the name Lorraine Bobbitt ring any bells? Yes, yes. Wow, there's a new true crime coming.
Starting point is 00:02:40 I'll tell you more about it next. The Z&P Podcast Network. Play ZN, Flesh, Forne and Haley. Now, God, we love true crime. We do. We love true crime. I've been really on a buzz of watching all the Netflix documentaries recently of, like, old and new cases
Starting point is 00:02:56 and whatnot. It's been great. But this one I'm very excited about. Not a doco, a Hulu mini-series. I think it's a three-part. Same people. Disney owns Hulu. Because it's a separate thing, but in New Zealand we get,
Starting point is 00:03:11 it's just all on Disney. Yeah, I don't know how it works. Yeah, I just renewed my Disney actually, because what was I watching? Rivals. Rivals. Yes, how good. I told you it was good.
Starting point is 00:03:22 You told me, and it is good. Yeah. So, uh, this three-part mini series is going to cover. the case of Lorena Boppet who, when we mentioned it this morning, off here, I was like, I know the name, but I couldn't remember it. And then I was reading about it. I was like, oh my God, yes, this was huge.
Starting point is 00:03:40 1993, in June 1999, in the States, Lorena Boppert, cut off her husband's penis, and threw it away. I remember this. In a field. When I was a kid, I remember it being a big thing, yeah. She got a kitchen knife. There's been multiple songs about it.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Yeah. She got a kitchen knife, and while he was asleep, snipped it off, sliced it off, and then drove off and threw it into a field where police later recovered it and surgeons. Reattached it. Yeah. Like successfully reattached it. And I tell you what, when you get to know the case, they shouldn't have. Yeah, because he was a piece of work back.
Starting point is 00:04:14 He really was, wasn't he? Abused her for years in all the ways you can think. And she pled, she was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity at the trial. Yes. Because his abuse had pushed her into a, quote, irresistible impulse to just go, you're a bastard. And now it's being made into a scripted three-part series. This case is like wild. Because then, well, did he get acquitted?
Starting point is 00:04:45 I think so. And then he, didn't he become, or didn't he do some kind of adult? Yeah. Did he? Yeah, when it got reattached, it was like this weird. Yeah, right. Yeah. He's out of two pornographic films I'm reading here in Wikipedia.
Starting point is 00:05:00 So he's asleep. Shump. The penis is off. You're awake now. She drives off and throws it into a field. How long is it there? I mean, this will be covered. Do you imagine it was an underarm lob or an overarm?
Starting point is 00:05:12 Driving. Window down. It's the 90s. Crank, crank, crank, crank. I'm going side. Like an apple core. Yeah, like an apple core. It'll be absorbed by nature.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Did you know this happened on your birthday? Oh, June 23rd? You're kidding me. It was June 23rd, 1993. So they're 14-year-old. You would have been at high school. Oh, wow. As a man's penis was side-lobbed out the car.
Starting point is 00:05:37 I remember it was, now that I've read this, I distinctly remember it was, cut off with a ginsu knife. That's right, because they were the infomercial knife. Gens to cut through a leather shoe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then go back and cut a tomato, no pressure. Do you reckon they benefited from this?
Starting point is 00:05:52 being able to in a man's sleep cut off his flaccid penis So when it's a tank Hang on So this is going to be This is going to be an amazing documentary Because honestly Have they said any actors or actresses
Starting point is 00:06:05 That are okay right Nothing I know This is like feroche Hours old that this has been announced Right So season one So this is part of the What's it called Good American Family
Starting point is 00:06:17 Franchise Which season one covered It had what's her name? Highest paid actress from Grey's Anatomy. Meredith. Meredith. Meredith. Grey. Meredith Grey.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Ellen Pompey. Pompey. That one. Pompey like the volcano. Pompeys. And it followed Natalia Grace who was an adult who pretended she was a baby and got like a doctor
Starting point is 00:06:43 pretended she was a child got adopted by this family. And then the mum was, yeah, you should watch it. It's so good. And the mum's like, what the hell? You are not a child. And the dad's like, just be nice, she's a bit different. She's like, how old are you?
Starting point is 00:06:56 Yeah. It's crazy. And then it was like finding socks, like bloody socks because this like child was having a menstrual cycle. And the mum's like, how old is it? Wait, how old was she saying she was? Like a kid kid, like six. But was she tiny?
Starting point is 00:07:13 Yeah, yeah, yeah. She had like a little, like a thing. Anyway. She knew what she was doing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She was playing the family. It's so good. So that's.
Starting point is 00:07:22 American Family Season 1. Right. This one is Season 2, three part. And I'm assuming in production. In production. So next year sometime. Yeah. Okay. So the actual actress that played her in that, the adult playing a child,
Starting point is 00:07:37 has Russell Silver Syndrome, which is a rare form of proportional dwarfs and that affects growth before and after birth, and it makes you look. Yeah. So she was like tiny and she's like, I don't, hi, mom. And like pretend to be a kid and this family adopted her and she's an adult the whole time. It was the wildest thing. Lorraine Bobba was 24 years old when she cut off John's penis.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Wow. I thought she would have been older. Yeah. It's giving big period of pause. I mean, honestly, lopping off a day. Yeah, for sure, for sure. But I'm like, I'm never, you know,
Starting point is 00:08:07 like not crime for crime, but he was such a... He was a piece of shit. An absolute piece of shit. Play ZM's Flash forun and Haley. From the unmoderated comment section, this is the top six. Well, slogan T-shirts are apparently
Starting point is 00:08:22 on their way back. For the gals and the guys. Oh, mate's probably never stopped wearing slogan t-shirts. But girls moved away, but they're moving back towards the early 2000s trend. Kind of feel like it was men mostly, right? With there's some kind of tacky dad thing on there. This is a beer gut. It's a fuel tank for a sex machine.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Female body inspector. Yeah. Whereas now, and then that the girlies got into it with like the late. The 2000s, don't say any because these are the top six actual Supreate T-shirts. Because Supre was always in the news, wasn't it? I remember this for like that inappropriate. Supre was the wicked campers of t-shirts. Still around in Ozzy.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Yeah, you go to Melbourne. There's Suprae. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had a gluttony of these sorts of stores in the 2000s, and they all kind of shut down. Your wild pear, your lippy. Yeah, Supre. Why did they shut down here?
Starting point is 00:09:15 Stans strong. Yeah, it does. I don't know why they shut down. Glastens run them out of touch. town. We just glasses. Pram. T, and fashion
Starting point is 00:09:24 still looks for life with the Broadway. 2011, a high profile standalone location such as Broadway and New Market Gang closing down due to lease and rent disputes. Cotton On Group purchased Super A in transition
Starting point is 00:09:35 remaining operations to Cotton On. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, but Cotonon don't do a offensive tea, do they? They will, though. Maybe they will. They'll.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Keeps up with the trends, too. Well, these are the top six actual Super. I did a deep dive. I found to some people. talking about old Supreya tops. I found some old pictures. The top six, actual tops.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Actual tops. You could get from Supre. Okay. Number six on the list, Love You Long Time. Wow, okay. Okay. And no one ever said it in that English accent.
Starting point is 00:10:06 No. Thailand loves our slogan T, don't they? Oh my God, misspout. Same, same, but difference are big. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Love you long time. Yeah, number five on the list of the top section, actual tops you could get from Super A.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Stop Being Poor is number five. Do you know that was Photoshop on Paris Hiltre? So she was photographed wearing a slogan tea in the peak of female slogan T's. Yeah. And a top that said stop being poor wasn't real. It wasn't real. Really?
Starting point is 00:10:37 And it became a top. Wow. Yeah, crazy, eh? That's funny because I could have seen her wearing that. Yeah, yeah. Literally she was talking about this in a podcast just recently. And she was like, that was Photoshop. I never wore a top that said stop being poor.
Starting point is 00:10:50 That was Photoshop back in the day where you actually had to really Photoshop It took hours. Yeah, took hours. I opened it up Microsoft paint and save it as a bit. Yeah. By the way, I will remind of for people who don't know, Supre primarily aimed at tween and teenage girls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:05 With these tops. I mentioned that is... I got some crop tops from there, but that's just a side note. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You are as you are want to do. Thank you. I number four on the list of the top six, actual tops of year from Super A, one that said, I love guidos.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Guinos. Yeah, Jersey Shore. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mostly, right. Sort of a broad. Snooky. I thought offensive term for Italian, as someone of with Italian.
Starting point is 00:11:29 966, are you Italian who are offended by Guido? 966 if you were called a Guido. Would that upset you? Upset you? It sounds like it should. It would. Number three on the list of the top six actual tops you get from Supre. Here's a classic slogan T.
Starting point is 00:11:43 If you think I'm a bitch, wait till you meet my mother. Often paid for by the mother. Yeah. Who's waiting at the changing room being like, God, those skirts are short. Yeah, I don't like this. Is that a belt or a skirt? And then imagine 14-year-old Haley comes out of the changing room
Starting point is 00:12:02 with a slogan t-shirt on that says, and number two on today's list, weapons of mass distraction. Oh, wow, over your tete. Over your tete. They actually sold these. Yeah, well, weapons of mass destruction was a big term the early 2000s because that was the premise
Starting point is 00:12:17 of the invasion of Iraq. 9-11. Yeah, after 9-11, they went looking for weapons of mass destruction. I don't think they ever filmed. No, they didn't find any. I got a couple of weapons of mass distraction. Yeah. Squeeze it to this. Too tight. Jokes. I had A-cups.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Little tities. And number one on the list of the top six. actual types you get from Supre. I remember this one. Being in the news. Daddy's little slut. An actual. An actual. That was sold in stores in the 2000s.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Somebody I found online saying, looking back on it, I made my dad pay for a t-shirt that said daddy's little slut on it. But we're talking about a different daddy. Also, whose dad is, you wouldn't pay for, there's no way. There's just no way the t-shirt would be put on. No.
Starting point is 00:13:06 There's just no way. Oh my gosh. It would be a hard, you know, I don't veto a lot. I'd veto that. Yeah, I'd veto that's so hard. That's the day's top six. Slays, that ends, Flesh forne and Haley. What is considered cheating?
Starting point is 00:13:22 This was the big question in a survey done in the UK. Now, men versus women, basically. Oh, vastly different. Here's the agreements having sex with someone else. 94% agreed. Wait, there is 6%. Open? E&M.
Starting point is 00:13:44 No, but if you were open, that's not cheating So Yeah So does that fall in the So that's the 6% Because 94% say Agree
Starting point is 00:13:55 Men, women, other Someone cheating Having sex or someone else That's cheating I don't think you should participate In the survey on cheating If you're in an open No
Starting point is 00:14:03 Relationship But you can cheat in an open relationship You can Yeah you can There's rules right And your respect Ethical at the heart of it Okay
Starting point is 00:14:13 Was there anything else That men and women Agreed on? Agree on sending nudes to someone else. That's cheating. How much? 82%. That's still 18% of people don't think that's cheating.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Which is 1 in 5 almost. It's getting worse. These are the agreements. Using a dating app while in a relationship. 80% agree. So 1 and 5 people think if you're on a dating app when you're in a relationship, it's not cheating. And using it also, not just having it.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Yeah, not just how I forgot to delete it. I remember I knew someone once it was on a dating app when they were in a relationship. They said, oh, I'm, just looking for friends. Sure. Have you found any? Kissing someone else.
Starting point is 00:14:53 73% agree that that's cheating. That's still really low. Secretly messaging and meeting an ex. 69% agree. And forming a deep emotional attachment with someone. 52% agree. See, to me, that's like worse than... That's the other ones.
Starting point is 00:15:10 This is where the difference, the split. Men are more bothered by sex level. affairs and less bothered by emotional affairs because they're like, I don't want anyone physically engaging with you. You're a woman, you know if you're emotionally. You need a different thing. Whereas women, the physical and the emotional
Starting point is 00:15:31 was completely evenly weighted. Right, okay. With that. 11% of those surveyed said that most cheating can be justified in some circumstances. How many sorry? 11%. So that was basically like,
Starting point is 00:15:45 But the consensus being like there's no excuse. Most people say never. Kissing someone else, 80% of women say that's cheating versus 65% of men. That was a split. Deep emotional attachments. 60% of women said that's cheating. That's an affair.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Whereas 43% of men said. Wow. That's still low. Only 60% of deep emotional connections. Okay. Some gray areas that they agree on. that they agree on. Engaging with only fans or similar creators, messaging.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Only half, regardless of gender said that that's not cheating. So it's explicit. You were talking about, remember you were talking about your friend that replies his job. Yes. Is replying for an only fans or several only fans creators. I think we need to get them on the show. I know, it's fascinating. He is a writer and he, his part-time job is responding to his first-time job.
Starting point is 00:16:43 responding to his friends' only fans' messages because he's very successful on only fans. Developing romantic feelings without acting on it, 40% say that that's not cheating. Using AI chatbots as virtual companions romantically, 30% said that's not cheating. Flirting, 26% I don't mind about flirting. Flirting's part of life, it's fun.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Fantasising about someone else, only 16% of people said that that's cheating and having a crush is 15%. So mostly, like the major split between men and women is like men aren't really bothered about the emotional stuff, more physical, and women, it's emotional. Like, we would hate if our man was having an emotional fear.
Starting point is 00:17:27 So it's okay to like the hot models on Instagram or not? It's supporting. It's supporting small enterprise. You're stuttering. That really sort of, if you found that you were just like, right. The ZANN podcast,
Starting point is 00:17:43 Network. Play Z-Ems, Fletchhorn and Haley. So silly, silly that... Silluple today is, do you consider plain peanut butter to be sweet or savoury? I don't know. I actually don't know. Because I don't have it on like yogurt with fruit and stuff. Yeah. Or in a nice chalky smoothie. Yeah. But then...
Starting point is 00:18:21 It's very versatile, but I think itself it's a savoury. But then... But you don't add sugar to her. This argument, I feel. this was a stupid argument and it started it's been all over TikTok a couple started this argument and then people obviously weighing in
Starting point is 00:18:35 but in America they add shots I wonder if the argument in America is more for sweet because they put so much sugar in yeah whereas ours is literal peanuts we are we love our picks we love our picks peanut butter we're blessed in New Zealand with
Starting point is 00:18:52 amazing peanut butter so I made you know I've been making lovely food from the Asian continent. Yes. Sartay something? Yes, I made a sate some chicken, but I used all the sate sauce I had in the fridge for the marinate.
Starting point is 00:19:08 So I had to make sate sauce, and I used the Picks hot, spicy one. Is that with some soy sauce and lime juice? The Picks honey one that came out would be good in a sate because it would add a sweetness to it. Yeah. It could be both. Well, in America, standard commercial peanut butter has about two to three grams of total shorthy.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Yeah. A standard two tablespoon serving. That's a lot. If you want sweet-edged jam. Then, yeah. I think maybe it's more... Salted peanut butter, but yeah. Yeah, that would push me towards savoury.
Starting point is 00:19:43 It's the bisexual of all the spirits. It's very bisexual. Yeah. Well, we asked you, is it sweet or savoury? 83% of you said savoury. Only 17% said sweet. Interesting. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Indeed. Emily said the question has rocked me to my core. And that's what we aim to do. Emily's probably going to take the weekend, re-evaluate everything. Have to think about it. She could keep opening the pantry being like, this whole time. I don't even know. And then she'll get two identical jars of peanut butter and be like,
Starting point is 00:20:14 you are sweet and you are savory and you shall never mix. Jimmer said, I think it's completely neutral. Yes. Yeah. That's actually a good call. completely balanced. Yeah. But it has to be something.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Does it? Or it's savory but it's versatile. It's savory but it's versatile. It can be... It's savory, says Alicia, but I do require it to have an unnatural amount of sugar in order to enjoy it. So she's going for a real sugary one.
Starting point is 00:20:49 She's cranking a sweet. When you do have a sugary peanut butter, though, you are like yom. It's slats. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It tastes like tofu. Yeah, it's like smooth. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Ethan just said, I'm just letting you know that I'm allergic to peanut, so I can't contribute to today's silly little poll. Goodness, me. As always, I always say thank you to everybody who lets us know they can't contribute to whatever we're talking about. Thank you, Ethan. Thank you, Ethan.
Starting point is 00:21:09 For whatever reason, and today it's Ethan's allergies. Lou says it's sweet on toast with jam, but it's savoury and cooking, obviously. This makes total sense. Yeah. First time. And you said, the cheapest stuff at the supermarket is savory, then mid-ranger's sweet.
Starting point is 00:21:23 I don't know about the expensive stuff because I never have the money to try it. No, I'd say the cheapest stuff's sweet. I'll say you got that round the wrong way, Hon. Yeah, I think Hon, you've got that. Hon, screw that up. Yeah, look at the labels. The cheap stuff is sweet.
Starting point is 00:21:35 So he said you should have had a third option that said, my peanut butter is yuck, because that would have been my eyes. It's so yum. I say sweet, I saw say sweet, even though I get one with no sugar to make sure it's not sweet, but still feel it's sweet. Felicity said we aren't American, so it's not sweet. Yep. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:53 So for still a little poll today, we asked you a debate that is raging online. Do you consider Penta Butter to be sweet or savory? 83% of you said savoury. Play ZDM's Fletch, Vaughn and Haley. Producer Shannon's unpredictable history. We asked for that, didn't we? I love it.
Starting point is 00:22:15 Yeah. I always find it really interesting. I love a bit of history. Love something. And Shannon delivers us. History, we probably don't know, unless you're a historian, listening.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yes. Yeah. Good morning smarties. Good morning to the smart historians. Yeah. Because it's a little left field. Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Shannon, what period of history are we going to today? We're going to Denmark in the 1500s today. In the 1500. The good old days. Oh, bring back the good old day. Sort of post-viking. Yes. I was debating talking about Rasputin, who as you know is my favorite...
Starting point is 00:22:50 Raspuiting. Favorite historical figure of all time. They tried three ways to kill him. Beautiful eyes, didn't they? But guiling eyes. His penis is on display in a museum somewhere. Yes, 12 inches. Shannon, you said that.
Starting point is 00:23:06 And you know what if it's 12 inches dead. I reckon the dirt might have been rock is 15 inches alive. You know when it gets a bit cold and a bit, it shrivels up a little bit, doesn't that? Yeah. You know where. Have you ever fainted? Yeah. The penis shrinks during a fainting.
Starting point is 00:23:22 And I admit, death is just. one real big faint. Legendary... Gregori Rasputin's legendary penis is supposedly 13 inches long. Sorry, Rasputin. I mean, don't put it. Most women would say don't put that thing
Starting point is 00:23:35 anywhere near me, but well right. I don't want it. A preserved 12 to 13 inch specimen is on display in St. Petersburg. It's on my genuine bucket list is to go to that museum. He is just one of the most interesting humans. And the fact It's not his penis. What? They believe that the 12 to 13 inch specimen
Starting point is 00:23:52 on display in St. Petersburg is actually either an animal part is like a horse or a bull or a dried sea cucumber. Who's telling you this? No, no no, no, you're wrong. Who's telling you this? It's literally in the sea. The internet carwin. Oh, because the internet doesn't lie.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Yeah, I know that's what I'm saying. Well, because he was dead when it happened. But sometimes when it's that you know, it doesn't grow much. Yeah. Good Lord. Okay, so you're saying that even if it was a show and not a grow up. Even if it didn't grow and it just went boeing. I'd be okay with that.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Jesus. That's not his penis hair. That's head down his head down. I feel like they took a bit of pubic area with it. Yeah, they're measuring from the back of the balls. It's not a cat style. You don't measure from the asshole. How iconic though.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Imagine people think that's your penis and it's in a museum and you've been long dead. And you know he, you know that song, Rara, Rasputin, his grandkids were still alive when that song came out. Imagine being like in your 70s. Someone releases a song about how sexy. your granddad was. Yeah, weird.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Anyway, we're not doing to talk about him today. We're not even meant to talk about him today. You're not the first time, not the first time we've been derailed by
Starting point is 00:25:03 talk about a giant giant wang. They call it infamous mystic penis. Are you all right? Do you need a moment? Are you deep in a internet hole? I'm in a hole. I've got to get out of it.
Starting point is 00:25:14 He was deep in a hole too. No, he wouldn't be deep anywhere. Well, today we're talking about someone called Tico Brahe. The name doesn't sound Denmark. I've done some pronunciation, but he is... Doesn't sound Denmark. I was like
Starting point is 00:25:27 Danish. He doesn't sound like Danish. Degovrendi. Now, he was a very famous astrologer. He found lots of stars. He did some good stuff. Was in Aries? We're not going to talk about that today. I don't actually know. I know he was born in 1546. Okay. Wow. But we're talking about him today. He was incredibly smart, very notorious. Who cares? He was a naughty boy. Oh, a bad boy. He loved a little. He loved a little.
Starting point is 00:25:53 little argument. When he was 20 he started telling his friend that he was better at maths than him and so they got in a duel. They got a sword. Classic. And Tico got his nose swiped off by a sword. No, what are you going to do? It's the 1500s. Do you have a big nose? Because
Starting point is 00:26:09 I feel like if you swiped up, you might lob chin. Yeah. Yeah, it's got to be quite a honker. You know what I mean? And I've got a sizable nose. Well, to get through this, Tico got the world's first golden prosthetic nose. Oh, golden nose. I'm going to send a photo in the group chat. They've done autopsies. They've exhumed him.
Starting point is 00:26:29 He was buried with this nose. You can Google it, so just look up Tico Brayhi for those. And I'm Googling, Respy's him. He had a fully golden nose. Bearing of mind, this is one of the smartest men and most famous men in the era. That's a drawing. This is a drawing, but this is what he was doing. They don't have photos on the 1500s, idiot.
Starting point is 00:26:48 You can go back. No, I thought you were to say it was a photo of his exhumed body. with the golden nose. You can Google that, mate. But no. Okay, mate. Okay, it's just an extraordinary, mate. Come on, mate.
Starting point is 00:26:59 So Tico, he kind of gets through life and he's just like a bit silly while being smart. He owned a castle. He hosted lots of parties. He had a gesture and he loved a drinky la-la. Oh, right. Don't we all? But the unpredictable history part of this story is the way Tico died. If you had to guess, what would you think?
Starting point is 00:27:18 He fell out of his castle trying to look in his telescope at the stars. He was trying to... He didn't smell a gas leak. Yes. Yes. And it got him. Yes. No, he was at a very...
Starting point is 00:27:32 Infected. It got infected. No. He was at a very fancy dinner party. He got impaled on a 13-inch Rasputon. The party got out of hand. There were hands everywhere.
Starting point is 00:27:43 The lights were out. He was like, of course I can take it. And a puncher-in-law. Famous last words. Famous last words. right the lungs. That would really be an all-stars episode of history. No, so he's at a big dinner party with all the big Danish nobles.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Nose balls. Golden nose. And he really believed in table manners. Despite being a naughty boy, he believed in table manners. And the rules there were very strict that you're not allowed to leave the table during the duration of a dinner party. And so Tico was there and he really needed to go wheeze, but was not allowed to leave the table. and he just kept pounding back the drinks so much so that his bladder exploded
Starting point is 00:28:27 and he died from not going whee's. Oh my God, I've held on for DLA. I didn't know you could explode your bladder doing that? I thought eventually your body would just go... Didn't that happen? Leak. In modern times, didn't a radio station do a no Wii for an Nintendo Wii? Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Yes. And someone died. Someone died. We were talking about it in the office because it got thrown around in a brainstorm. I said, let's pull back. Wait, so you have to hold on to your whee's for Nintendo Wii. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Yeah. Yeah. What were they? A couple hundred bucks. Yeah. And you don't pay. And then your bladder explodes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Yeah. So Ticos... In 2007, a 28-year-old mother of three, Jennifer Strange died of acute water intoxication after participating in a radio contest called Hold Your Wee for a Nintendo Wee. Jesus, nothing's changed. And where contestants has changed, drank large amounts of water without urinating. It's not a great idea.
Starting point is 00:29:21 I just think, we won't bring that up in today's brainstorm. No, I don't brainstorm on Friday. But yeah, that's how Tico died. What an interesting episode. But after he left the party, why didn't he go for a wee-wee? Or did he have a bladder infection and they couldn't weigh? It had started. Yeah, yeah, it's started. He died from it.
Starting point is 00:29:35 And so they've exhumed his body and all that. Gold nose and yeah, his bladder had fully exploded. Gold nose. What an incredible episode of unpredictable history. Really good, really good. And we had a little bonus with Rasput team. Yeah, we did. Play Zet,
Starting point is 00:29:51 Flesh Vaughan and Haley. Now, we posted yesterday that we had Psychic Brand in studio who was convincing me that the, is it the expiry date on my, the bottom of my eclipse mince tin is somehow predicting something within my love life. Yeah, you're heading on the 17th of December when you're at Guns and Rose.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Guns and Rose is at 5.03 p.m. You're getting engaged. Apparently. That's where we came to with that. News to me and news to the man that would be asking the question. Anyway, so we posted that yesterday on our social, people were loving the numbers. They're loving the numbers at the moment.
Starting point is 00:30:25 And then I saw that Brooke from the night show, Night show, commented, you know, throw me in coach, because I've spoken to Brooke before. You think your love life's bad. Jesus, hers is an absolute mess. She did just laugh. And she's joining us.
Starting point is 00:30:42 She joins us on the phone, and I do apologize because I emphasize you're the night show. Sorry for ringing you so early. That's all right. Nothing like a morning reminder that love life is going down the drain. Well, we have spoken about this sort of in hush tones at staff meetings.
Starting point is 00:30:57 We're focusing. We're taking notes. Some of it could be an email. Brooke, that your love life is not going so well. And for a while there, we were kind of in the same team when I was out dating last year. And, you know, obviously... When you left me to hang out and drive. Yeah, I have left, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:13 I've found someone. How bad has it been for you, Brookeie? It feels like the only way I describe the dating scene is like It feels like you're drowning in very shallow water Like you could get out at any time But the water's kind of warm and you want to stay in it But like you're drowning as well I think what you're describing there is a bath
Starting point is 00:31:34 Yeah yeah but a shallow bar Yeah These things floating in this bath man I don't know It's the worst and the best at the same time The dating scene my gosh Where do you think you're going wrong I mean
Starting point is 00:31:45 You're a beautiful for woman, you're talented, you've got it going on, you're funny, sometimes we're like, oh, Brock's weird, which is quirky. You know, some guys I find they like that, thank God. Like, where do you think you're going wrong? I do think the
Starting point is 00:32:01 funny girl act does block me a little bit, but I've always said that it would never block me from the right person, so I honestly, not to sound desperado, but I'm doing the most over here. I don't think it's my end
Starting point is 00:32:17 Personally, I think it might be the fish and the seas fault. I just like, I feel like I want to get eyes, because I went on so many dates last year, dates and quotations. And I feel like I've come to understand the way that it's working out in the world. I would love to get eyes on a date that Brooks on. You know, like a movie where I'm like, I'm in the airpiece. Oh, but it's an airpiece? And you're just like, okay, say this now.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Because I don't want to hurt my own horn, Brooke, but I'm like, I kind of nailed it. I'm very charming. You're very good at it? reining in the funny girl thing to a sort of charming level and not like an alarming level. Yeah, but you'll have... It's where I forget to switch over and be flirty. Yeah, you'll have Brooke cooking four-course
Starting point is 00:32:57 meals for these guys. Yeah, Brooke, can I ask if a fella, are you only into fellas? I do swing both ways. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. She's and you still can't find someone. You've literally got double the playing field. Oh, no. How badly are you stopping this up?
Starting point is 00:33:14 You can literally be with anyone. Yeah, the thing is, Brooke. If someone comes back to your house, let's just say, keeping this PG. That's right. Where I was going wrong and Fletch coached me here, and I'm now coaching you, you don't need to cook them a three-course meal. Oh, you don't. They're there for a reason.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Oh, what's the reason? Physical fulfillment. I've got a little treadmill there. Cool. Wrong sort of physical. physical fulfillment. But to be fair, I was looking for a different thing and love fell on my doorstep.
Starting point is 00:33:54 And I'd hate to sort of rub that in your face. But you are looking for a love. Is that right? Or are you just looking for something casual? I am looking, I'm looking for love. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:10 So you want to help, Hayley. I want to help you, Brooke, because I think that the people, they miss Sprow on the Prow. You know? And Sproul isn't. It could be Brooks having a look. Brooks?
Starting point is 00:34:20 Yes. I love that. Brookie, I know not to sort of use your life as content, but may I become your coach, your dating coach, and we can touch. It would be my honour. Beautiful. I mean, if we're at the point where we're reading expiry dates on tins to find love, I think you're in a desperate state and Brock I am now your, oh, we have a message.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Okay. Brooke sounds nice. Brooke sounds nice Okay Someone said throw me and coach 30 female in the same boat And Brooke is stunning Okay Brooke
Starting point is 00:34:54 I'm officially your dating coach You're in safe hands with us Oh my god Leave it with me We'll come back to you I'm going to make a plan This sounds good I'm excited
Starting point is 00:35:03 This was a good wake-up call Okay we'll go back to sleep darling The Zat M Podcast Network Play ZDN's Flesh One and Haley Now, we want to know when did you have to move back home. You had to move back home after maybe leaving. I'm leaving this place.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Because Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK. After they left in 2020, moved to Santa Barbara in California, A. And that was 2020 that they did that. And they kind of made a big thing. They left the royal family, like left their royal duties, kind of shunned a lot of the royal priorities. protocol, had a big falling out with the Farno, moved to California to live as independence, private citizens, they're called.
Starting point is 00:35:50 Was part of it to get away from the press? Yeah, and the Daily Mail, they were like stalked by the paparazzi in Britain. Obviously, the royal family has a very contentious relationship with paparazzi because that Princess Diana was being chased by the Pats. All of them. Yeah. In the tunnel. Tunnel incident.
Starting point is 00:36:07 The famous tunnel incident. Anyway, so they have announced and it's been confirmed by the royal family that they are moving back to the UK tiles tucked when their legs. They're not resuming their royal duties. And this has come as a bit of a surprise. Like it's just happening. It's just happening. Archie and Lilibut
Starting point is 00:36:23 have already enrolled in school starting in September. Yeah so this is... Because it's summer bracket there over there at the moment and my mates kids are aren't at school. So yeah, they're right, they're going to start the school year fresh. Yeah, school year fresh. They're going to live in a private residence just outside of London. So they're not getting
Starting point is 00:36:40 a castle? No. Well, they're talking about, they might live somewhere on the Spencer estate. Right. That's mum's side, mummy's side of the family. Right. The Spencers, as opposed to a castle. They're not going to do royal duties at this point. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:58 And they did a July visit to the UK and it wasn't discussed or anything like that. So it's very shocking. Everyone's just like, oh, interesting, coming back, are we? And they called it the Mexican because of Brexit. Yeah. Because Megan was kind of the driving force. come to California with me will live life like normal people. Anyway, I want to know, when did you have to move home?
Starting point is 00:37:17 It's crazy that, like, they were driven from the country because basically, basically racism. Yeah, the one with the real dodgy sex pest stuff, just kind of still there. Yeah, but he was white. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I did notice that, and so it was this, you know, the underage children he was photographed with were also white.
Starting point is 00:37:39 So that's cooked. We all know someone that's gone on like at L.E. Yeah, for sure. And has lasted like three weeks. Or what about the people who make, you know, they've been seeing someone for a very short time and make a grand gesture. I'm moving out of home.
Starting point is 00:37:53 I'm moving in with this person. It's love. Yes, yes, yes. Months later they have to say to mum and dad, do I move back home, please. Can I have, you move on? Or you move to the big city. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:03 And then you have to move back because you didn't like it. I kind of like when people are like, I mean, I guess they're honest, They move somewhere. They might move to Ozzie. They're like, actually, I didn't like it. I came home. Yeah, totally.
Starting point is 00:38:13 If you don't like it, you don't stay there. Yeah, go on, no, but it is great when they make a big gesture. It's humbling, isn't it? It is humbling, you know, oh, you've told everyone you're leaving, and now you're coming back. I kind of, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Well, 0,800,000, we want to take your calls. Give us a text, 9-696. When did you have to move back home?
Starting point is 00:38:32 Right now, though, we want to know when you had to move back home. Yeah. After you made a big, grand exit. I didn't even think about this, people quitting their jobs. Yes. Being like, I'm done. I'm changing, I'm moving. And here we go.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Yes, we're talking about this because Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK after quite a grand exit in 2020. Stacey, when did you have to move back home? Hello? Hello? Hi. Yeah, I got this amazing job on Disney Cruise Line and talked about it for a year about how I was going to go work on this amazing job. And did a big family farewell early Christmas. Got over there.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Terribly seasick. lasted like three days on the boat and I had to pick up that constant you're doing. Wait, you've got seasick. Wait, that's like becoming a flight attendant and then realizing you don't like fly. You hate flying. Yeah, I feel like it's a similar vibe. So yeah, it's a little bit embarrassing but like classic stories to tell now.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Yeah, and so, but have you never been on like the ferry or something? I mean, I can go on a ferry because you can go outside and look out at the ocean. But when you're working on a cruise line, you're like down in the bottom of the boat so you don't really see any life. Were you shoveling coal down there? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sounds like... It's a job for me is what we decided.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Wow. It's also, my cousin did it. Notoriously hard work. They work here. You're working long hours on cruise lines. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's definitely not a job for the faint harder, but I still thought it'd be super cool.
Starting point is 00:39:57 And turns out, yeah, I didn't have the guts for it. So you lasted three days on the boat, then what? Oh, then they'd catch me off, and I got home, and I was home two days later. So I was talking about eight days. and I was home in time for Christmas anyway. Oh, brilliant. Wow.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Wow. Stacey's time for Christmas. Stacey, that is so funny. Do you know what? We haven't called of the week. Yeah, I think of call of the week. That's my call of the week. Because that is so funny that you lasted three days. We'll hook out with a chemist warehouse prize back home of the biggest brands at the lowest prices.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Wait there, Stacey. We'll sort that out. Let's go to Harriet. Harriet, when did you have to move home after a big farewell? Well, we moved the whole family, including the dog to Perth, at great expense. Yeah. We had a baby in Perth, and then we actually came back for a wedding,
Starting point is 00:40:40 and I walked into customs, and the customs agent said Kiyoda, and I peered up. And my husband was like, oh, damn, we're moving back, aren't we. We're moving back home. Three months. What, you even had a baby? So is your baby Australian? Yeah, unfortunately. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Tell you how customs area in Auckland, it does get you, doesn't it? And you know what gets missed? It's the birds. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yes. Yeah, we live on a wee section in Brighton and Dunedin, and the native birds have definitely made me happy we came home. No, what gets me, what gets me when I land at the airport is the cheap apparel sprites?
Starting point is 00:41:17 Oh, same. Yeah, I get two bottles for 99. Two for 99 or maybe a two for 79 if you're willing to drop your brand. He sees those apparel. I'm much more expensive in Australia. Yeah. Oh, my God, that's all. Everyone, you go to Australia for a weekend, you're like, Jesus, it's so expensive.
Starting point is 00:41:34 We've got cheap booze and good birds. Yeah, there you go. All you need. Bring you home every time. It does. Harriet, thank you. Some messages in. When did you have to move home after a grand exit? My flatmate went on holiday to check out Melbourne with the intention to move.
Starting point is 00:41:47 There was then for 10 days. A couple of weeks after getting back. She flew to Melbourne via Christchurch to say goodbye. Yep. Four days later, I get a call asking if I could pick her up at the airport. She didn't want to be in Melbourne anymore. Four days. And could she stay with me?
Starting point is 00:41:59 It turns out she met a girl who was moving to Christchurch and decided she liked her more than Melbourne. Lesbans. Oh, Lizzie. Leszies, sorry. When you know, you know. When you're na, you know. And the lesbians constantly know.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Are they still together? Can we get a... How long did that last? I'm going to ask if they're still together. Okay, replies. You're being cynical here. That could be her great love of life. It could be.
Starting point is 00:42:18 It could be the love of her life. Yeah. Somebody else said, I had to move back home when my 12-year relationship ended. That's okay. That's fine. That's fine. That's okay. That's 12 years.
Starting point is 00:42:29 You gave that a good, hard job. I moved my parents in. You moved in. I come to me. Right. I need you. I had to move back home. after my first weekend of going flatting at 18
Starting point is 00:42:37 as a couch was lit on fire in the backyard and our neighbours rung the landlord and we got booted outside to move on. Dad. Dad, it wasn't me. Why'd you get booted out? The couch was on fire. It wasn't me, I promise.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Yeah. As someone who used to be head of a big group, I loved it when they'd resign in a blaze of fire moaning about everything. Then a few months later, it was, can I please come back and work? Yeah, you got any jobs going. Yeah. Your job's gone.
Starting point is 00:43:05 The grass is not always greener for jobs. The lesbians are not to get this still. It did last. 18 months. What's that in straight years? Straight years is about six. Six years? Yeah, that's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Yeah. Somebody else said I would... Wait, a lesbian year is different than gay years? Yeah. Because gay years are like dog years for relationship. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, the timing's a bit skewer.
Starting point is 00:43:30 Yeah, okay. Yeah. One gay year is... In a relationship. Seven. Straight years in a relationship. Yeah. Whereas lesbians, the first year is the equivalent of eight years.
Starting point is 00:43:43 And then it slowly peters off back to. Right. Until the next one start. They just really go ham in that first year. My little brother went to boarding school. Had a big farewell everything. Uniform, bought, you know. Came home after one day.
Starting point is 00:43:58 It was six hours away as well as the drive. Oh, yeah. One day. He didn't like boarding school. Yeah. My parents would have. been like tough. Yeah, you're there.
Starting point is 00:44:07 We've bought you the uniform. This is where you go now. Someone said gay years is news to them. So we've just explained it again. Wait, are they gay or straight? It would be news to straight people, but not for gay. 6, 24. Are you gay or straight? Seven years in a hetero
Starting point is 00:44:21 relationship is one year in a gay, man-man relationship. Yeah, you know the seven-year-inch, they say, about traditional relationships. The gays get that way quicker. One year-old. Now they get an age. Three months. But if they've been together for three years, a man and a man, that's like, 21 years.
Starting point is 00:44:35 We should be able to bring their diamond wedding interview. That's amazing. It's a straight person they're asking. Oh yeah, that's why they don't understand. Yeah. And Lesbians the first year, what did you say it's eight?
Starting point is 00:44:44 Yeah. Yeah, they do eight years worth in the first year and then it peters off from there. And the games will open it up three to six weeks. Three to six weeks. Ethically.
Starting point is 00:44:55 Working days. And then it blurs. Then it's like, don't ask, don't tell. That's around the sort of six month mark. There's a whole rule. We'll send it 10 years. My sister and her husband moved from the UK back home to New Zealand.
Starting point is 00:45:09 They moved everything. Lasted two weeks and then went back to the UK. I'm too stubborn. I'd have to give it more. If I moved animals, like our friend who moved the dogs, I'd put dig in my heels because that's such a rigmarole. Rigmarole and cost. Cost.
Starting point is 00:45:26 Moved home when their kids started passionately singing the Australian National Anthem. No, no. Bringing you home. No, no that. Time to go home. When my youngest was a baby, the sperm donor wasn't paying the rent, so he left his ass there and went home to mum and daddy. Now my kids know that they can come home whenever they need to.
Starting point is 00:45:43 Yeah. Yeah, nice. Now, my gay brother's been with his partner for 22 years, so that's 66 years married. Wow. That's incredible. They're geosaurus. That's how old they are technically.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Their relationships at Gayosaurus Rex. Play Z-Emm's Fleshhorn and Haley. Got a confession to make. Well, first of all, kind of congratul. on the hard launch last weekend on social media you kind of
Starting point is 00:46:08 is one of the big parts of your show Yes Brow on the prow so you kept it kept it quiet If you saw sprawl on the prow
Starting point is 00:46:15 The end of the show does reveal that After prowling And being so proudly Single that I accidentally Fell wildly in love with someone
Starting point is 00:46:27 And yeah And I just And I wasn't keeping A secret for any other reason Other than I didn't want people We were coming to the show To be like
Starting point is 00:46:33 listening to my stories of being single, being like, we know. We know this is, you boring bitch. That after stating that you'd never do it again, I have. I have got a boyfriend. But also it did come up that at his house you've got a basket. A basket? In his wardrobe. For your stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Yeah, that was early on. That's serious stuff. Because we get up so early in the mornings. It was nice to have a little place to have things. And so I had a small basket. at his house. And I am now here to admit that my girlfriend Amy has a drawer in the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:47:13 Fout serious. Felt serious. I cleared out a drawer. It was really big. Cleared out a drawer. To be honest, I was like really spreading through. I had a lot of drawers. And I did that thing.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Yeah, I'm just going to have one whole drawer for... Like me, I have a whole drawer for me. Yeah. Every drawer's for me. I go in his drawing. I'm always like, it's just all fletcher's stuff. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:36 And I use it. All of it. Yeah. Bit of that. I like your sore balloon. Okay. We're in a safe spot. I've given her a cubby in the wardrobe.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Oh. Okay. If we're being safe. Wow. I've given Mike a whole wardrobe. You're sorry. You've given my wardrobe. I said, I said, I'm not moving in.
Starting point is 00:47:52 But he's got things on a hanger. He's just constantly there. Nothing's on a hanger. Nothing's on a hanger. Mine is a cuby. He's never moving in. He's not moving in. But it's, but it's, but, but,
Starting point is 00:48:02 my house is so aesthetic and I had it just the way I liked. And this guy's there all the time and he would have piles. And I was like, I thought I was done with piles. No, you're not doing piles. I'm not doing piles. And then you know my wardrobe is very sacred to me.
Starting point is 00:48:17 The fashion is my passion. And I've got a three bedroom house and it's just me. So I've got this front wardrobe and nothing in it. So I hung things in there. Hung things in there. There's four pairs of shoes and quite a lot of t-shirts. There's shoes in there. What you've got specific.
Starting point is 00:48:33 Okay, I'll admit, she's got a specific pair of crocs for gardening at my house. I bought my crox. I bought my crox for gardening at my house. This all sounds pretty serious, guys. Wow, this sounds pretty serious. Saying it out loud, it sounds serious. And how are you going?
Starting point is 00:48:46 Fletch relationship was. Does your lover have crocs? I've got a, I've got all my wardrobe. I have both my wardrobes of mine. Right. Yeah. Because I had that for a bit. All right.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Yeah, now you're losing wardrobe space. Yeah. It's crazy. I had so much wardrobe. of space, I initiated the Carl Fletcher hang your t-shirts on a coat hanger, which I've never done. I've never, I've never had the real estate. Because a woman's stuff
Starting point is 00:49:09 is in there. The woman's stuff was everywhere. No, I've got all of these coat hangers and everything. That's why your shirts are always not crease. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I hang everything. Yeah. God, we've done this all wrong. I did being single all wrong. What do you mean? I met someone.
Starting point is 00:49:24 Yeah. Really hard, yeah, really hard met someone. Yeah. So, okay. That's the, that's a confession. We've given up some storage space to the people that we... I'm drawing the line to things you know? What like? Batman figurines.
Starting point is 00:49:42 That kind of stuff. That's right. You're dating a nerd. I am. Oh yeah. Yeah. I'll admit something else. He's a nerd. The rumours were not true. I didn't hook up with Vaughan last year but I I've kind of have in a way. She's got her own kind of Vaughn. Yeah. I've actually got to talk to him about the Wolverine game that's coming out
Starting point is 00:50:01 because I had a little sneak peek yesterday at PlayStation. Can you not? And I know he's excited about Grand Theft Auto 6. Yeah, God, it's going to get icky soon. It's going to get real yuck. There's too much worn in him. On the PlayStation all day, just going to be like, ugh. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:14 You do that at your house. Yeah. But you can hang your t-shirts at mine. The Fletchborn and Haley Big Pod. I just noticed something yesterday, and I'm a little shock, and I'm just, I'm unsure if I've upset Karen Walker. Oh. Famous, beloved.
Starting point is 00:50:31 New Zealand fashion designer. Well, you did rip the head off of the Barbie. No, she broke the bespoke sunglasses to the Barbie. That's right. You've made that worse than it was. Yes, she did get one of a custom Barbie made of her because she's such a legend. And yeah, she brought it into studio and yeah, I broke it.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Yeah. That was years ago. Since then, Karen has dressed me for many things. And last year, I was invited to, I was invited to, we've got a gay on the phone. We're very excited. Okay, we've got a gay. I was invited to the Karen Walker fashion runway show for New Zealand Fashion Week.
Starting point is 00:51:05 She even sent me clothes to wear. This was like a peak of my fashion career. Wait, did I see a photo today of Benny in the show last night? Yesterday. Yesterday? The Karen Walker show happened and not only was I not invited, I assumed I'd be walking. I think when you structured that sentence, you sat the other way around.
Starting point is 00:51:28 was I not walking, it turns out I wasn't invited. Oh yeah, that was way better, yeah. Not only, she had Benny, she had other like cool legends walking for her. Not only was I not walking the runway, I wasn't even invited. Have I upset Carol Walker? It sounds like it. What did you do last year that, were you drunk? Haley, we've spoken about this.
Starting point is 00:51:50 You've got to stop getting you drunk at these things. I had a few sloppy prosies before going in. I sat next to Clint's wife and even she was like Jesus Christ, you know she's at a few I had, yeah I maybe I was front row
Starting point is 00:52:05 Slopi Prosecos Yes not Prostiches Oh God no You hadn't had a few of those That was later in the night When the night really ramped up Anyway
Starting point is 00:52:14 Okay well so no invite Just discovered no Yeah Not even an invite Okay Well next on the show There's been a study done You touched on this study
Starting point is 00:52:22 Just before Vaughan This person's sent to the person that we called out That said our music tastes sucks. They've sent in a Spotify playlist. Let's do that later then. We'll do that a little bit later.
Starting point is 00:52:32 Is it? Oh, not good? No, it's pretty good. Oh, damn it. Are they like actual good taste? It's all older songs. Yeah, okay. Well, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:52:42 Well, we love older songs too. Yeah, we do. The Z&Cast Network. Play ZM's Flash, Forne and Haley. Who knew, but apparently the homosexuals are leaving behind the straight men academically.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Right. Now, that is not reflected for women as straight woman academically more successful than lesbian woman. Because we don't want to go home to our men. Academia is no measure of success either. No, God, you know, there's a certain sort of like knowledge and stuff. But, you know, let's see them whip up a deck at the weekend, you know, with a spirit level and a bloody. Like an absolute lesbian. Desire one, dummy.
Starting point is 00:53:19 A desal one, lesbian. Hey, I was a desal one lesbian. Yeah, you were a realtor. A huge success. Yeah. And so what, this was university research? Gay men are more likely to finish high school and then go on to finish university and more likely to hold more advanced degrees.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Wow. And gay men outperforming straight woman. Take that, Hayley. Yeah. Wow. Well, she's a little bit. She debbles. She's dumb. She's just dumb.
Starting point is 00:53:47 She's half-dust. Regardless of where she puts her mouth. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It doesn't say smart things, but it loves all people. So we've got to straighten a gay and we're going to do. some general knowledge questions here. And we've got a gay gay too, don't we? We've got gold star gay.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Not platinum. Someone did message in a platinum gay is where they've never touched a woman or been with a woman or smirged a woman and they were cesarean by birth. So they've actually never had contact with a vagina, full stop. A vagina. Our friend James joins us. Good morning, Jamesie. Morning.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Beghearted James. Beghearted James. Beghearted James. James joins the show all the way from London. I know London. Is it hot in London, James? It's beautiful. I've had the fan on all week. And gays love fans.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Gays love fans. Like that. They love them. Now you are a, you're a gold star gay James. Never slept with a woman. That's right. Right. Did you go to university?
Starting point is 00:54:43 Yes. And he's got, you know, he's got good jobs. He's always had good jobs. Always got good jobs. He's quite important. He's had his moments. He's had his moments. He has.
Starting point is 00:54:51 He has. Now, James, joining you to play in our Gay versus Straight Quiz to test these university findings, the studies findings, is Mike, who is allegedly a straight heterosexual man. Good morning, Mike. Morning. Oh, that sounds straight.
Starting point is 00:55:07 Morning. Good morning, Mike. Never had a curious thought, Mike? No, Gold Star Straight, yeah. Gold Star Straight, okay. Have you ever comped a look at the urinal at a fellow man's member? Uh...
Starting point is 00:55:23 We all have to hang up on you. Do you play rugby or any sort of male-on-male-on-male contact sport, Mike? Not rugby, no. That's super straight. Is that scrum, I tell you why, they're all grabbing. They're all closet. And if you're watching a little bit of adult content in the man, are you focused more on the woman than you are the man?
Starting point is 00:55:48 Sorry, we're just checking, Mike. We need to make sure you are straight. It's all about the woman. There we go. Well, we've got a straight. Go straight, we've got a gay. Okay, so Mike and James now... You can hear his tortured soul.
Starting point is 00:56:01 He's dealt with nothing but woman. Yeah. Now, Mike, your buzzer, if you know the answer in our straight versus gay quiz will be straight. And James, your buzzer will be gay. So buzzer... So just say your sexual orientation basically as your buzzer. And James, feel free to, you know, say gay however you like, how it was sort of slurred at you or, like, gay, you know, or whatever.
Starting point is 00:56:25 do anyway. All right, it's time for our quiz. Morning, you've got the questions. Question number one. What is the capital city of Australia? Straight. Straight first. Straight was in there.
Starting point is 00:56:37 Yeah, what is it, Mike? Canberra. Yeah, he's dead right there actually. Yeah, he's got it. Yeah, bang on. James, you knew that, didn't you? I did. It's because he's gay.
Starting point is 00:56:46 Okay, right. Okay. Question two. What is the largest planet in our solar system? Straight. Gay. Oh, Mike? Jupiter.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Yes, correct there as well. Oh, God, straights are. It might be the phone delay from London, though. It's not. It's a light. I give a lag. You've got a lag. It might be a lag.
Starting point is 00:57:07 If you can accommodate Mike as a straight man for the lag, the gay lag. When you said lag then, James, I thought you were using the alternate gay buzz and word. No, we don't say that at the show. Say that. Okay, next question. Question three. In what year did the Titanic sink? Straight.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Mike. I'm not sure I just had to have a go, but 1912. Yeah, he's right. What? That's that straight white male arrogance. You're like, I don't know, but I'll let it go. That's probably 1912. Well, James, did you know that one as a gay?
Starting point is 00:57:41 You would have watched the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio? That was the one I didn't know. You would have loved Kate Winslet's dresses as a gay. Phenomenal. Assuming there. Yeah, assume. Yeah. Okay. Next question.
Starting point is 00:57:55 We've just got to get the gays on the board. Yeah, come on, James. Come on, James. We'll get the gays on the board. Gays have got no problem getting themselves on the board. No, no, no. Some of the highest numbers out there. Which ocean is the largest in the world? Straight. Mike. Yeah, he's right.
Starting point is 00:58:12 The gays aren't coming back from here. James, did you know that one? No, I only do, like, airlines, not boats. He did work for an airline. Classer. Do airlines, not boat. Gays do love the airs. Airplane knowledge.
Starting point is 00:58:24 They do. The planes do fly over the same thing that the boats make. They're way over. Yeah, that's true. Okay. Keep going. We've just got to get the gays on the board. Maybe ask some gay.
Starting point is 00:58:35 Ask some like Madonna stuff. What's that? Ask them what? Some gay stuff. Ask some gay questions. You're asking those heteros stuff. We're giving Mike a leg up. This is not got.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Okay. Okay. Next question. Okay, next question. Um. Henry Cavill, hot or not? Straight. Hot gay.
Starting point is 00:58:57 Hot gay? Well, hang on, I think James was first. Hot or not? Hot. But hang on, Mike, you said straight. What was your answer going to be? Hot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:10 That's the thing. He was not wrong. He was not. He's a straight man. He's a lot wrong. Oh, he's a bit gay. Yeah. There's a few gays on the text machine that want to sub out James.
Starting point is 00:59:20 Oh, okay, really. I don't feel he's representing the gays well-n-n-n-off. But it might be the long-distance phone lag. It could be the gay lag. It could be gay lag. It could be gay lag. It's the dumbest gay and the gayest class. The dumbest gay.
Starting point is 00:59:34 You're the dumbest gay in the village. We can't even help James out there. I don't know. We tried there. Now, someone said this is my new favorite segment. Please don't get rid of it. I didn't realize this was a segment. I thought it was a one-off.
Starting point is 00:59:44 It's definitely a one-off. Now, Brian and Clint have tradies versus ladies. Are we doing gays versus straighties? Gay-s versus straighties. James, how do you feel you represented the Rainbow community? If we can fix the lag, I would have represented them fine. Yeah, but you still admitted there was a couple you didn't know. I knew the first two, didn't know the second two.
Starting point is 01:00:04 Yeah, whereas Mike knew the more. So there we go. Mike, Mike. Yeah, congratulations. I don't know if there's a prize there, but we'll sort something out there. We'll give you a hand show. We're not. Playing for pride.
Starting point is 01:00:20 Ironically. Yeah, ironic. Very good. Very good. Playing for pride. Yeah, good for pride. Very funny. Next on the show. Do you have an animal, Mike? A dog. Should we give him some animates?
Starting point is 01:00:33 Oh, yeah. Okay. Let's get an animates. Of course he's got a dog. Wait, wait, what kind of dog? Oh my God, if it's like a shit so well. Rescue dog. I'm not sure what kind. He's a good man. He's a straightest thing I've ever heard. It is. Awesome.
Starting point is 01:00:49 All right, congratulations, Mike. And I don't know what will give James, Amsterdam Pride cruise on a canal or something. Yeah, something like that. Yeah, yeah. New Mish tank top or something. It's pronounced canal. A Mish tank top for you, James. Congratulations.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Thanks, guys. Play ZM's Flesh for it and Haley. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day. Yeah. It's copper week here at Fact of the Day And somebody said to me earlier in the week Are you going to do the fact About how policemen are called coppers
Starting point is 01:01:31 Because their badges are made of copper Oh, I didn't know that Is that why they're called copas? No, you're a cop It's a factoid What is cop? You're a cop. It comes to cop, meaning to seize your capture.
Starting point is 01:01:43 He copped one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He copped one. Copper. Yeah. You're a bloody copper. And then that became copper. It's not because they had
Starting point is 01:01:50 nothing to do with copper badges. I thought their badges were brass. It's a false bit of trivia. Well, brass, brass has copper in it. Because I'm a brass girl, you know this. You're a brass girl. Wait, does brass have copper in it?
Starting point is 01:02:03 I know, I know bronze has copper in it because I'm going to hit you with some copper facts. Just some quick, fun, copper facts that you can take away into the weekend and share with your loved ones. Oh, because that's what everyone's doing. Oh, my God, that sounds like such a sexy weekend. Copper.
Starting point is 01:02:17 God, let me change what I was going to do and do that instead. Yeah. Well, whatever you had planned, you can probably squeeze a I won't be canceling that for this. I'm going to a party tomorrow. I'm coming in hot with copper facts. Copper is the only metal besides gold that isn't naturally silver or grey.
Starting point is 01:02:32 Oh, interesting. That is interesting. Yeah. And bells that are traditionally made of bronze and that always get pinched. My old school bell, Kiwita school bell, that got stolen. Ours was brass. Yeah, that gets stolen because it gets melted down. It's a mixture of copper and tin bronze.
Starting point is 01:02:47 And it's better than pure copper because copper's too soft. They wouldn't hold a clear tone. So they added the tin and it. and it makes her the perfect bell, including the Liberty Bell. Oh, yeah. Which is the American bell and it's got the big crack in it. You've seen that, eh? The Liberty Bell is in Philadelphia?
Starting point is 01:03:01 No. You've never been. You've never been. No. Don't make shit up. Copper pennies. Stop telling people where I've travelled that I haven't been. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:09 My parents have seen it. Oh yeah. And I just thought you'd seen it too. Yeah. No. You've been to Mars, eh? Remember you grew the potatoes and your other... No, that was Matt Damon.
Starting point is 01:03:20 That was Matt Damon. Oh, really? You've been to World War II when all your brothers died and they had to get you home, eh? No, that was saving private. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, maybe another lives.
Starting point is 01:03:32 So copper pennies, the pre-1982 copper pennies are worth more melted down than they are to spend now. Yep. So if you've got a bag of pennies, you'd be better to melt them down and take that copper into a scrapies. It's wild America still has pennies. Yeah. Like they do cost more than they actually are worth. A worth. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:50 Like just do five cent coins like the rest of the world. Make them silver. Copper is also one of the few things that is 100% recyclable with zero loss of quality. It's estimated that 80% of all copper ever mined, by the way, Chile, huge cop. Oh, we love Chile, don't we? Is it just in the earth? Yeah. It's a natural element.
Starting point is 01:04:07 But 80% of the copper evermind is still in use somewhere. Like that's why they always ask you to recycle your electronics because they can literally take the copper out of that and recycle. And the last one, and I find this fascinating. Copper naturally antibacterial and antiviral. So this is why at hospitals you'll see copper. coated handrails and like rails in the bathrooms and door handles and stuff have a copper rather than stane of steel rather than stain of steel because the copper is naturally anti-bacterial huh that's incredible i'm just looking at raw copper like it's so amazing isn't it's a beautiful
Starting point is 01:04:39 very beautiful especially with the green oxidization that we learned about yesterday we learned that yesterday but we're learning aren't we learning hatch up on the podcast yeah so yeah basically like somebody said imagine the bacteria or the virus is a water balloon and the copper just starts popping holes in at the minute it touches it, and then everything leaks out, and it's not an effective cell of bacteria or a virus anymore, and it kills it. So that's why you'll see copper-plated things
Starting point is 01:05:01 because they're naturally anti-bacterial. So today's fact of the day is... Actually quite a good week. Yeah. I really enjoyed it. I'm really... I think we're going to need something next week a bit sexier. Yes.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Because it's been a few weeks of unsexiness. Yeah. No. No. Something more colourful. Right, kind of form whimsical. Something more whimsical, please. Okay, more whimsical and sexy.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Enjoyed it, ready for a change of tone. Okay, wow. This week's fact of the week has been copper. Fact of the Day, Day, Day, Day, Day, Day. The Z-N podcast network. Shannon helps so many of us on craft projects. I've actually asked Shannon for some help with many things I'm working on at the moment because I'm putting off the things I actually need to do and off start crafting.
Starting point is 01:06:04 But your services have been required by a child. Yes. Do you know this child? No, not at all. Random. Yeah. That's so random. I got a DM on Instagram from Abby, who is a list of our show.
Starting point is 01:06:16 Hi, Abby. How old's Abby? I don't know. This is the mother. Abby's mom. I reckon this is the mum. I don't ask random woman how old they are. Abby's the mom.
Starting point is 01:06:24 Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Abby deemed me saying that her daughter, who's 12 years old, is doing a school project and writing an article in her school's magazine. Wow. About crochet and crochet art. That's you. And would like to interview me.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Haley, I bet is secretly upset. She didn't get asked to be part of the school project, do you reckon? She is, like. Yeah, she's crazy. It should message you. Anyway, um... No, you're very. Very good at crocheter.
Starting point is 01:06:52 No, well, I mean, if anyone's listening and they're doing a school project, I'm being a bit much. Feel free to reach out to Haley. Do you know, I have kind of been approached for, kind of that vibe for school projects being like, oh, I want to get into the arts. How did you start? I'm like being born a bit much.
Starting point is 01:07:07 Are you a bit much? You might have a career of being a bit much. That would be great. You know, you always hear, universities. Have you always been told you're a bit much? Maybe drama schools for you. Sounds like you're an entertainer. No, you're very good at crocheting.
Starting point is 01:07:21 You crocheted your butterfly cardigan. You crocheted a us phone holder bag that kind of as you wore it, the lot more you wore it the sort of longer and lower the bag got. Yeah, it was blocking in real time. You crocheted me a minion. I remember this. Oh, I sleep every night with my grogu. Aw.
Starting point is 01:07:40 It's not cuddling out. It's just there. It sits on the pillows when the bed gets made and then gets popped beside the bed. Yeah, nice. Well, you know, Abby asked that her daughter could interview me. Of course, I said yes, so she sent over some questions, and I've been working on my responses. Give us one of the questions she's asked.
Starting point is 01:07:57 Well, she asked what was my inspiration for starting crochet? I thought that was a great opening question. As a young woman. Yeah. Yeah, and I talked about my journey. I started in 2020 that I was a new crocheter. It's not like I learned as a kid or anything. No.
Starting point is 01:08:10 So it was a lockdown. It was right before lockdown. And it was when I started in Breakfast Radio, I realized every afternoon I'd just go on my phone. And I was like, I need to have a mindfulness hobby that you can't go on your phone at the same time. That's why I started. I was like, I need to have some form of mindfulness.
Starting point is 01:08:27 And started as like a real shitter. You know, like I wasn't good. But yeah, so I've written all these answers. She's asked with a project. What a cool school project. I know. And I've got photos going in the magazine. She's asked for some photos.
Starting point is 01:08:40 Now, I can't wait to see this. Now, here's a question I'm going to ask. Tell everybody what your school project was on when you did a real deep dive into something. Well, I did many because I, you know, a bit. you know, intense on things. But my biggest one was pookekech. It's giving a little squads of the twas. It's sort of like, it's spreading through the group.
Starting point is 01:09:01 Yeah. Yeah, I did a big, deep dive on pookegoes. And then my other big one was... They flew there, right? How deep did you go? I was like 10 years old. And then... I was like 10. No.
Starting point is 01:09:13 Do you... I don't remember any of my school project? No, neither. One is the one on Marilyn Monroe and the conspiracies of her death. And that's where it started then. That's where it started. Huge conspiracy theorists. Do you not remember your school projects?
Starting point is 01:09:25 No, I remember some of my. My school project was a vitamin C test, and I took like a barocca, an orange, a vitamin C drink, water, something. That's a science fair. Yeah. That's a school project. I remember doing something on the yellow-eyed penguin.
Starting point is 01:09:38 Great. The hoi-ho. You know, they're still critically endangered. They're not getting enough press anymore. They're still critically endangered. And you know who's to blame? Sea lions. Come up, they eat them.
Starting point is 01:09:48 Bastards. I did a school problem. It's down as much mainland cheese as we want, but we're not going to be able to stop the sea lines. I wrote a book, like a little book on the Murchison Earthquakes. I remember that. I studied the Murchase and Earthquins. Well, this is what we want to know,
Starting point is 01:10:02 because it got us talking about our old school projects. What was yours? Was it something wild? Was it something you ended up going into the field of? Was it something completely left field and random? And you're like, I cannot believe I did that as a school project. Matthew's going to get the ball rolling. I did one on Jack.
Starting point is 01:10:19 the Ripper is a nine-year-old, had a big diorama on him and his victims, gave a speech and had to explain to the class what a prostitute was. At nine. I reckon that's... Great getting the ball rolling there, that one. Brilliant. It's going on the permanent record that the kids don't see about themselves.
Starting point is 01:10:35 I think so. Oh, 800 at Diles at Em as our number. Text us 9-696. Tell us what was your school project. We want to know what your school project was on. I keep wanting to ask people as well, how much do you actually still remember? I don't really remember. I don't really remember much from the Murchison earthquake
Starting point is 01:10:51 presentation that I did. 1890. Sure. Devastating. Yeah. Devastating. Yeah. Murchison.
Starting point is 01:11:01 Okay, some messages in on things people did study. In Year 7, I did a speech about bringing back the death penalty for child abuse and rape with graphic case details. Year 7, so that's Year 11. Form 1. Yeah, you're 11.
Starting point is 01:11:16 The Lions Club didn't like it. So do you think they did it for the Lions Club Well they did it at school And the school was like, yeah, you can go to the Man, there's some deep full on My school project was about capital punishment I ended up making a 10 minute video Using scenes from films such as the Green Mile
Starting point is 01:11:35 To explore the issue About halfway through showing it to the classes Teachers stop the video And said the content wasn't appropriate I love this one from Jess Who made shit up I did a project about the Hector's Dolphin when I was seven.
Starting point is 01:11:49 In my presentation of the class, I said there's only 50 left in the world. That wasn't true, but the gasp I got from the class felt real good. And that's when they got addicted to lie. They're only 50 left. They got a little dopamine hit from lying. I like that.
Starting point is 01:12:05 There's so many. I did a project on Louis Braille. My dad's friend was blind, and I got him into the class for a chat. And I printed a message for the teacher in Braille from his cool little braille machine. Oh, okay, that's pretty cool. The message said,
Starting point is 01:12:16 I really like my teacher. and they got me to read it out. What a sucker. There's roughly 15,000 individual hectares dolphins. It's the Maui dolphin. There's only 54 individuals. She liked the gasp though. Have you got, hold on, I'm just going to make sure
Starting point is 01:12:31 nothing else is playing in the background. No, it's not. Have you got my... Yes. Why are you playing this? It's been here, Daddy. No, why are you playing this? The 9-11 version of Baby, Rall.
Starting point is 01:12:44 The 9-11 version of DJ Sammy's Heaven. I vaguely remember making a diorama by the Twin Towers attack playing embedded inside a building And I had this song with the little girl talking over it as accompanying music I ate it all the... I ate it all of me This was the weirdest. Did this play on radio at the time?
Starting point is 01:13:07 It did a lot, yeah. I learned how this one this summer. I'm going to stop it. That's not Friday. That's not Friday. It's not Friday energy. It was just purely. You've got the whole picture of the diorama. Minnie Dean was my school project.
Starting point is 01:13:24 The school principal ever took myself on a classmate and a roadie to winter and to have a gawkeroo grave. So Minnie Dean was one of New Zealand's only serial killers. She killed babies. And she used to carry them in hat boxes on trains. That's dark for a kid. On trains? Yeah, she always catches to get hat boxes. Not hats in there.
Starting point is 01:13:43 How many people did she kill? Well, she was a serial killer. Yeah, she killed heaps. How many babies did Minnie Dean kill? And then after this, I reckon light it up. We're going to lighten it up. Yeah, with Friday jams. She was only officially convicted of one murder,
Starting point is 01:13:56 although police found the bodies of three babies in her garden and many more babies under her care went missing. So, we know what missing means that they're in the handbox. Why? I was the olden days. It's hard to prove these things. It's a standard four, year six, young girl, I love trucks, and I did a project on trucks.
Starting point is 01:14:13 That's good stuff. I still love trucks as a grown-ass woman. In high school, we made a movie about World War II. We even filmed a gas chamber scene. Kids in the class were crying and the teacher told us to stop. Wow. Okay. In history class in Scotland, I did a deep dive into bog bodies.
Starting point is 01:14:31 Fully preserved bodies found in the Scottish bogs. Okay. Oh, you're because they're fallen and it's the right sort of environment, hey. They find preserved bodies in the bogs. Yeah. I did a project on a railway disaster. My guess is Tongawai. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:46 You were in that television movie. And my granddad was supposed to be on that train, but he passed out drunk and didn't make it. And I said at the end of the project that the moral here is passing out drunk saves lives. I didn't like that. I did the Salem Witch Trials, where I learned to tie a noose,
Starting point is 01:15:03 and I made a miniature functioning gallow with a toy witch hanging from it for the presentation. Wow. These are so dark, someone's like birds and natural disasters. That's good stuff. Well, you could say free count before, like earthquakes and stuff, don't they? And cats, animals, yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:20 At 14, we were told we had to do a speech on something that we found challenging. So I took, I did a speech about my uncle who did too many drugs and then went into a psychosis and was locked up in a mental hospital. Oh, that's true. Full noise, eh? Wow. My geography project was in 2001,
Starting point is 01:15:36 was on Iraq two weeks before, well, you know what. Oh, wow, okay. So I'm like, get to know Iraq. I'm not signing with them. But that was Afghanistan. Or where was he based? Pakistan.
Starting point is 01:15:50 That was Afghanistan. Iraq were like, hey. Hey. And in 2020, 2001, they're like, hey. That's Afghanistan's thing. We'll come back later. Saddam Hussein was even just like, whoa, twirled his mustache. Wasn't him.
Starting point is 01:16:00 Fun chat, guys. Funny chat. I did a project on mushrooms unbeknownst to me. I took illicit substances to school. Because I found some cool looking mushrooms. Turns out they were magic mushrooms. Jeez. Okay.
Starting point is 01:16:13 Let's kick on. I took one more. In year 7 or 8, we had to write a speech about our own invention. I made scorches, shoe torches. What? I was so pissed off when Crocs did it. You made what? Scorches, shoe torches.
Starting point is 01:16:21 Oh, right, yeah. The ZM Podcast Network. Play ZM's Flashawn and Haley. I'm quite hungry this morning. I reckon from 5.30 a.m. We've been like, man, I'm hungry. Definitely need to eat. Oh, hungry.
Starting point is 01:16:36 913, still hungry. It's almost like if you knew you were working these hours, you could bring some food. I've got food. Every time I go to make it, there was no bowls in the kitchen, so I had to go sauce some more bowls and then you're like, come on, you're right. And I'm back in here and then the guys just, yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:52 I'm unprepared, but I'm going to go home and I'm going to make some delicious Vaughn's eggs. Oh, yeah, nice. We've got his fresh eggs. But this is not helping the hunger thing because are you aware of the famous Walworth's mud cake? Yeah. Yeah, like it's like the stuff of legend,
Starting point is 01:17:05 they have a mud cake and it's always... I'm not aware of this. The Woolies, it's like in their... It's beside the bread. Yeah. There's a little... No, the fish. The fish is beside the bread.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Before the fish. It often is a fish there or a cheesecake. Yeah, yeah. And it's like the sweet goods. And there's a mud cake in there that absolutely eff and slacks. Really? Slat me across the face with it. I'm just not a mud cake person.
Starting point is 01:17:29 So maybe that's why. But sometimes if you're caught short for like a birthday cake or something or you go into somebody's house and you like going to grab one of those. And usually people would be like poo-poo a supermarket cake. But you're saying it's famous. Famous. Sticky, moist, thick. Sticky, moist and thick.
Starting point is 01:17:46 Sticky moist and fick. Vaughan. We're at work. This is a career. Yeah. This is a professional job. It's so sticky in my mouth. Okay, well.
Starting point is 01:18:00 Here's some good news for the celiacs who want to get amongst this sticky moist goodness. The celiacs often lack of... Dark, sticky moistness. Sticky moistness. Just turning Bourne's mic off there. They usually get some awful kind of gluten-free, dry. Oh, dry.
Starting point is 01:18:19 Horrendous version. I had some gluten-free thing the other day in the minute I hit my mouth, and my mouth was drier than the Sahara. Why'd you do that then? It was an accident. I didn't know it was. Gluten free water to help wash it down.
Starting point is 01:18:30 So celiacs can rejoice. Oh, I'm not going to say celiacs. It's free from gluten. Yep. That means a variation of things, but they are releasing a gluten-free version of their world-famous mud cake. What is gluten in the mud cake?
Starting point is 01:18:44 Everything? Flower? I'd say, how dumb are you? What is glusion? No, no, no, no, no, no. Sorry, I mean like, what aspects if they had to change to accommodate? And I do, I don't say accommodate in a negative way. People that are gluten intolerant.
Starting point is 01:19:01 Like, what, how many, have we changed the cake so much? It's not the cake anymore, do you know what I mean? No, no, I don't know. Is there, let me check. Does it affect the stickiness? So, doesn't affect the niceness. They say.
Starting point is 01:19:17 Don't. No, just ignore him. He's showing off. You're cold, you're tired, go to your bedroom. You're showing off in front of mum's friends. The new, free from gluten chocolate mud cake hits shelves next week, bringing a deliciously dense. Now this is in Australia, I will say, Haley.
Starting point is 01:19:30 It is Australia, but we've got their mud cakes, so we'll be getting this. I don't like to call a chocolate mug cake dense. Makes it sound like that dumb. I like to say things like this instead. Free from weight. It's, it's, Funchy.
Starting point is 01:19:43 Funchy. Okay, well, there you go. Experience for the gluten-free community. It's going to be great. Play ZM's Flesh, Born and Haley. O-800,000M, 9-696. Does your family have a family tree plot twist? Love this.
Starting point is 01:19:58 Like, was grand... Ancestry.com. You know, with the online testing... You just discover so much. There's no hiding anything now. I had one, you know, people reaching out and saying, I think you're... Are we included?
Starting point is 01:20:12 Like a family plot twist, like it turned out Granddad was gay, like he married and did the stuff but all the while. Or like secret families. Yes, families. You find out... Or granddad's dad? Yeah, well, you find out that you have an extra brother
Starting point is 01:20:23 or an extra sister. Yeah. Well, so this is an incredible story that's doing the rounds. Dave and Andrea hit it off. And also it's funny because this story doesn't say if they have partners or anything at all during any of this. Okay. So they hit it off as...
Starting point is 01:20:39 They hit it off as friends, it says. Okay. You would say that if you had accidentally slept with your sister. No, I'm not saying they have, but there's no, there's no mention of partners. Anyway, they couldn't have had partners. He's not saying they did. They instantly hit it off when they were both working at Manchester Airport. Two strangers.
Starting point is 01:20:59 Now, he was managing the buses there, and she was coming in to do the vending machines. And so their paths crossed. And apparently they instantly hit it off, like could complete each other's sentences. Real chemistry. Yeah. And they'd call each other, they'd, you know, just like his friends do. Hang out, talk. And then they discovered that he was adopted.
Starting point is 01:21:23 Right. And all the details started coming out, his birthday, all of this, their brother and sister. And that's why they got along so well. This incredible connection that they just couldn't. Mm. They just couldn't explain. They're just like, you know, there's a,
Starting point is 01:21:41 a bond there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And so, yeah, over the few years, they became really firm friends, texting and phoning each other. He said he was adopted, and he told her his birth name, and she was like, hang on it, hang on a minute. Angon to me name. And it was
Starting point is 01:21:57 the same maiden name. So that would say that she's married, then that would be the first clue. Or made a name, yeah. And that she had a brother who was adopted before she was born. So she knew that, he knew he was adopted from the age of 10, and she knew she had a brother that was adopted out and she didn't know where he was.
Starting point is 01:22:14 And here he is. And she always wanted to find them. And they just find each other. Yeah. That is so wild. I know. And it turned out where his birth mother and this woman grew up, he used to drive the bus past their house literally so many times a day.
Starting point is 01:22:28 And that's his birth family in there. And he had no idea that was his mother and his sister living in there. Isn't that crazy? They do say it. It's a small world. You know, you can't go far. It's crazy. It's a small Manchester.
Starting point is 01:22:40 But yeah. And then so... They're being in and dated with messengers. He ended up, like, reuniting with his mom, his birth mother. She was still alive. Wow. And now, yeah, brother and sister tears all around. Pesties.
Starting point is 01:22:51 What an insane story, eh? Hopefully they're crying because it's happy and not because of what they did on Saturday. Yeah. I'm confirmed. That's a beautiful story. Yeah, it's a beautiful story, isn't it? And it's nice. They're just feeling this connection and it literally is a birth connection.
Starting point is 01:23:04 But what a shock. So, I don't know, maybe you found out you've got an adopted brother or sister or there's a... I reckon we have heaps of half brothers and sisters. This would be so... From naughty dads. So we completed the DNA testing online, found out our dad had a daughter he never told us about, or maybe he never knew he's passed.
Starting point is 01:23:21 That would be so up for feeling you'd be like, was this a secret or did you not know? Wild. I couldn't connect you. And then dad's dead. And so what do you do to send a message on ancestry and say, hey. Hey, we've got a family if you want to be part of it, sir. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:35 Wild. Okay. I got so many messages. 0800. 0-800 dial to them 966. do you have a family tree plot twist? Family tree plot twist. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:44 Because a brother and sister found each other as workmates. And they've got a genuine friends. Yeah. And then it turns out that he was put up for adoption. Yeah. When he was a young, when he was born. Yeah. At the age of 65, my mother was doing all the DNA testing,
Starting point is 01:24:04 linking her family tree. And she discovered that all her siblings were actually only her half siblings. And she actually had a different dad to them, uncovered a huge family drama, including a terrible accident, where her biological father died after a family argument. She's still processing all this years on. It's absolute madness.
Starting point is 01:24:22 Can we get a little follow-up there, 395? Was he murdered? He died after a family argument. That's wild. Accident. Or did he like rage off and crash a car? That's terrible. Far out.
Starting point is 01:24:37 Um, mum did it in Ancestry.com, Cat, and we found out that we have predominantly UK ancestry. Hello, apart from a minuscule amount of Jamaican heritage. Oh, Jamaican me crazy. Jamaican be crazy. Jamaica, your own conclusions, because upon further digging, we found out we were related to both slave owners and the enslaved. Had to sit on that one for a moment. So they were somewhere way back in the family tree a result of... Right.
Starting point is 01:25:05 What doesn't sound like much fun. And then what, someone hooked up with a slave? Yeah. Hooked up. Plot twist for sure discovered on arrival to the UK last year, a WhatsApp message from an older brother that we never knew about. Nearly a buried secret is only two people still alive knew about it. What do you mean a WhatsApp message?
Starting point is 01:25:25 Like he just, how did he get in the family chat? Must have found him. Oh. My aunt never, ever told her husband of 40 plus years that her sister had had this baby. my twin sister and I met him for the first time at my mum's funeral, and his mum's funeral, better than a soap opera.
Starting point is 01:25:40 Jeez, isn't it? That is like a plot twist of Shortland Street or something. And you would have missed it because, yeah, only two living members of your family knew and had to say, yeah, this is the case. That's the thing, the DNA can't lie. Doesn't lie. Got a message last year from a lady claiming to my sister. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:58 Turns out she's my age. Then earlier this year I got a message from a man in Kansas who's also my half-brother and he's two years old of the marriage. hosted my new nephew and his wife yesterday at my place. What? 413. Was dad a prolific? Traveler.
Starting point is 01:26:15 A traveler? A sexy traveler or... A pilot. What happened there? Well, were you adopted out perhaps? Yeah, and you don't know. I'd love to know how you ended up here because it sounds like you got a lot of American family. Oh no, that was...
Starting point is 01:26:27 Oh, yeah, American family. Okay. That's crazy. My mum and dad had been married 40 years and we found out that we had another brother and sister that my dad didn't even know about. So dad's played around. Had twins or two separate occasions? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:42 Wow. Okay. My mum and dad had been married for 40 years. You found out we had another brother and sister that dad didn't even know about. I literally just read that out. I thought you did. Yeah, yeah. That was literally what I just said.
Starting point is 01:26:53 I thought you did. In the moment, as you said it out, were you like, I've just heard this? I've just heard this. But then I was reading it differently. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The sudden thing I'm reading a different text and then there's an update. Okay. My stepdad, my three brothers' bio-dad.
Starting point is 01:27:07 So half. My three brothers' biological father. Yeah, and stepdad. So this is the older sibling. Yeah, it had a secret daughter at 16. Her family basically paid him to disappear. And then told her he died in a car accident. Oh, what?
Starting point is 01:27:22 Awful. Plot twist. He was a guest at her wedding. She had no clue. Eft, I know. But never knowing anything about us, her and I share the same name her new husband is my stepdad I'm lost I'm lost in the
Starting point is 01:27:35 Wait start again My stepdad Okay so let's put this into a situation We understand Okay Your dad Oh no none of us have stepfathers My step
Starting point is 01:27:47 Okay let's say I've got a stepdad My stepdad Say it's me because I've married Patsy Okay Because the legs don't quit Yeah well it's all those Hotest chicken dougabal Leshills pump classes
Starting point is 01:27:58 And she's got a bit up Northland That I've got my eye on Okay So my mum mom Patsy has hooked up with Vaughan. Yeah. Vaughn's my stepdad. They've had kids.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Three brothers together. But when I was 16, I had a secret daughter. Yeah. And her family said, you need to bug her off. You need to get out of her life. Here's some money. Disappear. I'm 16.
Starting point is 01:28:18 I'm like, sweet. I got some money and I didn't want to have to look after that baby anyway. Before he meets Patsy. Before I met Patsy. Yeah. Much younger. I'm gone. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:26 16-year-old me's gone. And her parents say, Vaughn died in a car accident. Oh, no. And then I hear she's getting married. The secret baby's getting married. So I'm a guest at her wedding. She has no clue. I don't know what I'm doing.
Starting point is 01:28:38 Am I there, like sweeping floors or mopping or catering stuff. I could be catering stuff. Now, when the baby was named, this baby that Vaughan had at 16, it got a name Haley. And I'm called the same thing. Right. Haley. And Haley's new husband is original Haley. Yep, not carbon copy, Haley.
Starting point is 01:29:03 Her new husband is the stepdad's name. Vaughan. Right. Okay, yeah. And her kids are the names of her brothers. What? That she doesn't know, but blows my mind. That's a great plot to us.
Starting point is 01:29:17 We're waiting for him to die so we can go find them. He must have. He put the kibosh and you're going to find them. Wow. Okay, did we understand that? No, I mean, kind of. Kind of. Yeah, it was a tricky one.
Starting point is 01:29:27 Someone said Vaughn needs a bit more fish oil because that was really... It was almost straight away. I watched myself do it. If that's any better, probably worse. Yeah. I didn't sleep. But you shoot, the fish oil is really good for the memory. Someone said both the F is happening.
Starting point is 01:29:42 I know, no, no, no. Yeah. I don't know what you're talking about a joke, but I can't do fish oil tablets because after I take them, I tend to burp, and then it just tastes. I'm worried my breath's going to smell like fish. So only there was another way of getting those sweet omega-3.
Starting point is 01:29:56 It's just in eight minutes. Is there a way of getting it an eight? Salmon, just do salmon. It doesn't give you the burps. In the air friar. Air fry, eight minutes. Now, I've got to read this one. I met a girl who very candidly told me.
Starting point is 01:30:08 She'd grown up with a guy the same age, childhood friends sort of thing. He was the son of her mother's best friend. In their early 20s, they got closer. No, Haley. Started to hook up. At that point, Mom and Mum's best friend were like, hello, wow, wow, wow, wow.
Starting point is 01:30:27 Sat them both down and explained. No! They are actually twins And when they were born Her mum and her mum's best friend were like This is 1-8 This is too much
Starting point is 01:30:39 You're gonna take that one I'm gonna take this We're never gonna mention it And they had to stop them Before they did the deed They didn't do the deed Did they kiss? They kissed
Starting point is 01:30:48 They said they never did the deed But they were kissing This is why I don't date white people I find them disgusting Yeah and you might I'm the whitest of white I am I am so white
Starting point is 01:31:01 that I have to be related to all the white people. I'm sort of like patient zero of whiteness. You need brownness in there so that you know you're not full-blooded siblings. Because there's no way you, this, looking at this, can be related to a Latino goth batty. Yeah, or like a Fijian Indian. Listen to that. That's a white man's puckoon.
Starting point is 01:31:22 The Fletchborn and Haley Big Pod. Now, excuse my language, but bitches be crazy. The women, eh? I'm starting to really come to understand. Feels like a trap. Feels like a trap. Proceed with caution. No, come with me, come with me.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Women are crazy. Yes. Yes. Uh-oh, she got me. What did you say? We are entering that time. Just an FYI. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:47 Skin's been breaking out. Yesterday I felt that there was no woman fatter on earth than me. And I was like, hang on. Lurde your face. Hang on, yeah. We're about to be. I see you know your face as well.
Starting point is 01:31:58 I see you know your face as well. as well. Anyway, so this is crazy. There is a woman who shared on TikTok and she doesn't have that many followers. She just shares life because she likes, you know, she's not a huge influence or anything like that. And she shared that she'd put up a video of her
Starting point is 01:32:15 wedding dress. She's engaged. Oh, yeah. Her marriage. A little wedding dress and you know, had her partner blocked on it and everything, so he was never going to see her. Yeah. One woman takes a screenshot of it and then DMs her fiancé and is like, here's your fiance's wedding dress for the head of the big day.
Starting point is 01:32:35 That's why. That is... Doesn't know these people. That's insane behaviour. Doesn't even know these people. Doesn't know the groom, doesn't know the bride. The bride's like, I've shared this just as part of an ongoing contract that people aren't going to be crazy and do this.
Starting point is 01:32:49 And then she shares on her TikTok again the story and is like, but shame on you. Because when you don't follow someone, they send you an image. Yeah. It's blurred out. You know, it says you've got to accept it. So she failed the mad beyond.
Starting point is 01:33:05 But she tried, what? Wait, but the guy didn't click open? No. Oh, okay. Good fiancé. Yeah, good fiancé. Good fiancé. How did...
Starting point is 01:33:13 Okay. He says to the fiancé, ooh. Look what one of your weird followers tried to do. Oh, she tried to sabotage it. Yeah, tried to sabotage it. What a weird thing to do? Women are weird. Oh, no comment.
Starting point is 01:33:24 I have no comment. Women are weird. Women are psychic. Hey. Don't. Hey, we're psychos. Do you know what women need to do? We should calm down.
Starting point is 01:33:34 Hey. Yeah. Should we calm down? I'm just going to, that was a neutral. That was a neutral. This is, that was neither yes nor no. Yeah. I'm not looking at her.
Starting point is 01:33:44 I wouldn't. I wouldn't look at it. Why did you look at it? Why did you look at it? Why did you just look at me? Why did you just look at me like I'm a psychopath? I'm just going to carry on Friday Jams. Oh, another podcast in the bag.
Starting point is 01:33:56 The plastic bag. Are they back? No, no, still banned. Okay. They never left. That's where you come in with the line, born. Boy, man, if you enjoyed that. Okay.
Starting point is 01:34:07 Oh, and if you enjoyed it, give us a rating and a review, and be sure to tell all of your friends. God, I need some sleep. Play Z-M's Fletchhorn and Haley.
