Starting point is 00:00:00 from the ZM Podcast Network. This is... The flesh won in Haley's Big Pod. Thanks to animates, making happy happen for pets. Massive fish to fry on the show today. We've just got a lot of fish to fry. We're going to need a bigger pan.
Starting point is 00:00:14 Tell you what, the fish has been, but this is a real side note, but the fish has been big at our supermarket for. Has it? I don't buy it. I just don't go near fish at a supermarket, eh? Oh, really? Because I don't want to spend $50.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Yeah, it's a little trinity way, eh? Today on the show, deal or reveal? What briefcases are open? So, we've got a $2.50. A $500. We had an $800. Can't see. Can't see.
Starting point is 00:00:41 Sorry. Well, you're going to have to get off your chair and have a look now because I want to know how much that briefcase had in it. 4.50. Okay. Well, the briefcases are on the wall. Deal or reveal is back and cash amounts anywhere from $5,000 to $5,000. So your chance to call through this morning at 8 o'clock and play dealer reveal. But when you've got the top six?
Starting point is 00:01:03 Yeah, the top six signs that your intern is actually a full-time staff member. A church has gotten trouble because they were like, well, technically you're an intern. Here's your intern wages. But they were full-time staff members. Oh, how naughty. Oh, God's. Sounds like radio. It's God watching.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Sounds like my time in radio. You know, the radio's not run by God, is it? No. You know, who's the... Radio has a CEO. Churches have a GOD. Yeah, they do. The biggest CEO of them all.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Yes. Really? The original CEO. The OG CEO, GOD. GOD. Well, yeah, that's coming up. The top six sons. Your intern is actually full-time staff member.
Starting point is 00:01:44 You've had a disaster, though, we must talk about soon. I think I've caught it just in time. I'll say it could be so much worse. Okay. But not great. Next on the show, though. Just this wild... court case, ropes, cart, ab-sailers,
Starting point is 00:01:59 women with hedge trimmers. The Fletchhorn and Haley, big pod. Well, can we go to Spain right now? Would you please do me the honour of metaphorically travelling with me to Spain? I've got my passport in my bag, actually. I was in Spain in July. Southeast coast of Spain?
Starting point is 00:02:16 Where did you go? Did you go to Valencia? No, I went to Miorca. Okay, so I'm not too far from Miorca. Majorca. Majorca. Majorca. Mjorka.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Moloca. Moloca. Palma. Yeah. Marbella. You know, I'm fluent in all the Spines. Beautiful. Have you heard of Benadorm?
Starting point is 00:02:34 Yes, I've heard of Benadorn. Apparently massive with the Brits. The Brits love a weekend of Benedorm. The Brits love going anywhere in Spain. Yeah. They love going there and just getting tickled up by the sun. They come home, pink as a pig. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:46 But it is beautiful. You can see why they go. But there have been like so many protests. Like New Yorker has had a lot of protests. Oh, get rid of the tourists? Yeah. We've just had enough. You know more.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Disrespectful, I think. You know, they want people to sort of respect it. We live here. Well, this woman, let me take you to January the 20th, 2021. It's a different time. Different time. It's a different time. Some ab sailors were on the outside of this high-rise building in Benadourne,
Starting point is 00:03:13 which apparently is often referred to as New York of the Mediterranean because of how many high-rise buildings it has more than most on the Mediterranean. We've got ab-sailers, window cleaners at our building, and sometimes they slip on down. And we say, hello. Correct. Well, they were up there and they were cleaning. So many skyscrapers.
Starting point is 00:03:30 So many skyscrapers. There's a big sitting. They really crammed it in there. It looks a bit like Waikiki does. Oh, yes. Yes. Skystrappers right on the beach. Like Honolulu, yeah. Well, it was January 20, 2021, when they were cleaning the outside
Starting point is 00:03:42 and renovating a certain part of the facade of this apartment building. When a woman was like, I actually don't want those ropes blocking my view, she went out with a sharp object and cut one of the abseilers ropes. Of course, there's two. ropes. So then I assume safety rope
Starting point is 00:04:00 and the rope bearing all the weight and if they're coming down the side of a massive building, because this was between the 12th and the 13th floor was where this planner was when all of a sudden he felt like he had to be supporting his own weight because the rope was gone and I'm guessing she cut it
Starting point is 00:04:16 and goes past him. Like in those horrible rock climbing bars. Oh my God! He starts screaming and she is and left clinging to the ledge between the 12 and 13th floor, unlucky for some. Unlucky for this guy. Well, that's why some floors don't have 13, do they? In China in particular
Starting point is 00:04:32 and, I'm unlucky number. And some airlines just skip that road. She was reportedly about to cut the second route, but stopped when she heard workers screaming for their lives. Now, if he had fallen, he would have fallen 46 metres. And I'm guessing, you don't survive 46 metre for, regardless of what you're falling on to. What the
Starting point is 00:04:48 hell? This is the, this is the weird part they think it might come out in the next few days. Why it's taken five years to get to trial? Because this was started 2021 and we're Shearing on the barrel of the end of 2026. So over five and a half years to get to trial. And they don't know her motive. Her name and her nationality,
Starting point is 00:05:04 they're like probably will remain secret. Because I live in an apartment building and, you know, sometimes you'll go to hotels and apartment in towers. Yeah. And if there is work happening, like windows cleaning, there's always a note.
Starting point is 00:05:17 You always get, you know, told. Yeah, yeah, this is what's happening. There'll be windows cleaning between this time. Because there's going to be someone dangling outside your apartment. Yeah, a apartment Facebook page. Maybe I don't have a pants off play with you. Yeah, yeah, or shut your curtains. Or do.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Or do. I reckon they've seen some things. The painters and the abseilers. Each time you drop down, you're like, what have we got in here? So, yeah, they don't know what the motive was. Other than she might have just being annoyed by it for some reason. What the hell? There was a case in Thailand.
Starting point is 00:05:42 And also in 2021, there's a case in Thailand where a high-rise resident cut the support ropes to two painters. Apparently she said, I wasn't informed they were doing work. So they were hanging... What do you think the ropes are? They were hanging 26 floors up and hanging, hanging. because she cut both of them. What the hell?
Starting point is 00:05:58 What the hell is wrong with people? I don't know, man. I mean, this job is my worst nightmare. There's no way in hell you'd have me hang. I mean, I've done ab-sailing, but as a job all the time? Yeah. Oh, no. No.
Starting point is 00:06:10 No. They attended homicide because she cut one and was apparently cutting into the other. I don't know how they know she was cutting into the... I mean, they probably... It might have been frayed. Exactly when they got there. What the hell?
Starting point is 00:06:35 Can you see the Google News alert? Because I really need to know what. Same. I mean, was it post-COVID she was nuts locked inside? It's giving big, let's make a Netflix documentary about it. Yeah. Because it's so... That's insanity.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Yeah, well, to start of 2021, was Europe still doing lockdowns and stuff? I don't know. I mean, you're at the beach on with a balcony overlooking the sea. Yeah, what have you? You've got to be miserable about you. You're in Spain looking at the beach.
Starting point is 00:06:59 I hope she goes to prison. That's stupid. The Fletch morning, Haley, big pod. I have become an electrician, and I taught myself how to remove not only fluorolite bulbs, but fluorolyte fittings. From the ceiling. From the ceiling. How many, after talking about that yesterday, how many messages have you had from concerned electricians and people in the know? I actually uploaded some videos of it yesterday as well
Starting point is 00:07:26 on the little Mill Cottage Renno page. So I wouldn't be providing evidence to the insurance company myself. You're allowed to. You're allowed to do your own small electrical work. Yeah, but you know what insurance companies are like, if something burns down, they're going to be like, we did watch a video of you jabbing a screwdriver into something. Nah, but to do it and to make sure it was safe
Starting point is 00:07:45 and through the text guidance of an electrician, whose name I won't bring in to this because he'll be so... Mortified. I don't want to associate with her. I turned the power off at the wall, right? So it's off at the switchboard in the house. It's off at the switchboard in the garage. There is no power in this garage.
Starting point is 00:08:03 And I made sure of it. Yesterday, turn a quickie on, get the doors up, turn it off, it's all good. And that's when I was working yesterday and had a real big day yesterday. And then I realized, that marks day two of the fridge being off. Yeah. And it's been in my head that I had some. and I can't remember who dropped them off to us, some weaners.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Remember we got dropped off weaners? Yeah, we got spicy weaners and, yeah, we got so many weaners. And they came in a massive block. And I'm just like, I'm never going to need that many weaners at once. Unless I host a winner party. Like, there's lots of perks to this job. One of them is stacks of weeners. Stacks of winners.
Starting point is 00:08:45 And at the time... If you hear of hear of comments, bigger perk of the job? Yeah, love them. Love it, love it, yeah. That's his favourite perk. Yeah. Weenna parties. Above the party invites, above the red carpet invites and the movie tickets.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Weeners, weaners. Steaks of weeners. So I've had two days with the fridge and the freezer off. Because the fridge freezers is in the garage. And I was like, and I got near it and I was like, does have a meatiness. There's a meaty smell. There's a meaty air to it. And I opened up the freezer.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And the weaners are mostly defrosted. Oh, you've got to chuck them out now. Have you still got the skip? Wasteawainers. Back in the skip. No, you don't put food in the skip. Don't know. You could have, on me that there was a salad box in there.
Starting point is 00:09:30 You can chuck food in the skip. No, you're not supposed to put food in the skip. So it's when I put asbestos food, asbestos food, I call it the asbestos food lasagna. Asbestos. I lay a spes de masseu. Yeah. Yum, yum, yum, yum. Yum.
Starting point is 00:09:45 No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. No, I did. It's terrible food wastage, but I was, what I was. thinking was so yes the weaners are have unfortunately, I've had some of the wieners but been sacrificed to the garbage gods but I
Starting point is 00:09:59 realised if I hadn't have caught this late last night like this is probably like 7pm you're going away for a few days I'm going away I'm going away and then I come back and then I'm going away and I was like this fridge would have had a real because you had that a vauny
Starting point is 00:10:15 maggot didn't you have maggots when your freezer had turned off unbeknowingly it was it was a whole thing. It was a hazmat suit job. Like it was a mask. It was like, you know, air plugs, those foamy air plugs. I had one of those in each nostril.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Oh, no, no, no, no. It was nasty, nasty, nasty. Like, thank God I just clocked it on the way out. Back into the house. So I do apologize to the wean gods. They've had a terrible sacrifice. But at least it wasn't as bad as having to nose plug my nose. The ZN Podcast Network.
Starting point is 00:10:48 From the Fletchborn and Haley group chat This is the top six Norty, naughty, naughty Who's been naughty? A church has been naughty Haley And not the Catholic one for once I'm going to say this must surely be the first time This is a rise church
Starting point is 00:11:05 Described as New Zealand's Pentecostal megachurch Oh, sorry No, no you're right to say ooh actually Oh well if you like it and it brings you peace That's fine They've agreed to pay $174,000 in arrears. They had an internship
Starting point is 00:11:21 program, four former interns who technically employees, and the breaches of the minimum employment standards occurred, so they are a little back tax. So being paid in promises to heaven? I myself have done a lot for promises. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:11:37 of entry to heaven. David Ferry has done several write-ups about this on his webworm. Are they like, get a ban, yeah, get up. He exposed severe exploitation abusing government's failures at the church
Starting point is 00:11:51 through reports from April 2020. I'd like to return to my prior statement of ooh. Yeah, if I may. Solid to ooh. Although the top six signs, your intern's actually full-time staff and for today's top six.
Starting point is 00:12:07 The workplace is not just churches. I did some intern and some free work experience. Oh yeah. I never did anything. I never did an internship. Right. No, I worked for my... I did the opposite. I basically did nothing
Starting point is 00:12:20 and my dad gave me money on the payroll. Perfect. Yeah. I say on the payroll, I mean in the hand. The actual opposite, yeah. Top six sons, your intern's actually full-time staff. Number six on the list, you get them coffee in their special cup that no one else is allowed to use.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Oh, yeah. They're not an intern anymore. They're an employee. Yeah. Number five on the list of the top six sons, your intern is actually full-time staff. They've got an acronym in their title. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Yeah. way. Yeah. You can't be a CEO and an intern. Well, you could be. Yeah. Haley Sproul, yeah. CFO.
Starting point is 00:12:53 What is the G stand for? Chief God Officer. Chief God Officer. Millennials love a job title, eh, for LinkedIn. We love it. Millennials we do. Whereas Gen Z's big title. That title hunters too.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Gen Z are big title hunters. No, not all of them. I don't have a title. The motivated Gen Z. Call me whatever you want if you're paying me. Yeah. Like literally anything. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Like go for gold. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And choke me. What? A little cuck. Choke him up a mouth. Sput him up a month. Cuck.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Z. M. Smith. I'll take it. You don't care. You're getting paid right? Yeah. Just sit here. Yeah, I'm sitting in a chair watching you two, F it up. That's basically, I am a cuck.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Zedem cuck. Number four on the list of the top six signs. Your intern is actually full-time staff. They're actually training the new intern. So technically, they're a senior executive intern. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:39 But they're still training the new intern. C-E-I. Yeah. Number three on the list of the top six signs your interns actually full-time staff. They've been to three Christmas parties and on the planning committee for the last two.
Starting point is 00:13:50 They're no longer an intern. You're in deep if you're on committees. If you're on committees. Social committees. What is actually getting to that time of year where they're going to start sending out invites for the Christmas party. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Or probably not. You know what I mean? Yeah. How can we just do like barbecue at yours or something? Just a... My preferred Christmas way. Just go just us. I say just a five of us.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Okay, okay. Number two on the list of the top six your interns actually full-time staff. They're on the Firewarden roster. Oh, yeah. When the fire alarm goes, they pop on the yellow coat. They're ready to go. The water responsibility.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Yeah. Who's Firewater not about team? I don't know. I don't know. Not ass. Not ass. You can't make it Firewarden when we're out of here at half ten. I think not Shannon.
Starting point is 00:14:32 It's got to be Carwin. Sorry. You know, Shannon. In a fire, I don't know. Shannon would panic and try to get all the Vs out of the vending machine. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, she'd be like, we can't let them burn. Grab them.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Well in the whole machine out. Yeah. And number one in the list. She's actually quite upset. Are you upset? Shannon, we have much respect for you in the right places. I think that I've dealt with the most fires because my building is constantly on fire. So I know how to evacuate.
Starting point is 00:14:57 We had a big, what's the flood. Like the sprinklers went off and flooded. That's the opposite of fire, sweater. No, there was. You know, a water fire. Yeah, there was a huge, a raging water fire. A raging water fire. No, there was a fire.
Starting point is 00:15:12 The sprinklers went off. flooded and now my building smells a bit damps. Sick, man. Another great reason to live there. Please speak to us before re-signing the lease. No, I plan on to... We literally had a conversation with my partner and I
Starting point is 00:15:25 this week and we're like... Yeah, but he's never there. He's never there. Shannon, please, we've got to get you out of this place. And in half-past seven this morning we're going to talk about what she's eaten. Oh my goodness, the best food ever. Stay tuned. I know. We need to get you into a new apartment.
Starting point is 00:15:40 I'd better... You need to upgrade. It's time. You need to open your horizons. Open your horizons. And number one in the list of the top six signs. Your intern's actually full-time staff. They've just called in sick for the day and everybody's panicking. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:54 They're not an intern when they're doing all the work. Yeah, when you need them? Yeah. Yeah, that's not an intern anymore. That's today's top six. The ZM Podcast Network. Play ZM's Flesh, Forne, and Haley. Now, Bert Craisha.
Starting point is 00:16:10 He's a comedian. He's got a podcast, who bears one K's. He had a guest Roblo And they were having a chat And I don't know how they got there But they started talking about The Roblo Roblo
Starting point is 00:16:22 The Roblo Not Bob Bloblo But Roblo Roblo From the Brat Pack Yeah 1980's been around Forever Mums loving Roblo
Starting point is 00:16:30 Yeah Sexy older Roblo Not aging Roblo Yeah yeah yeah Frozen in time Roblo Frozen and face Roblo God yeah he looks great For his age
Starting point is 00:16:37 Doesn't he looks great Like a fan wan So they're talking And Bert 62 by the way Jesus. He's 62, Roblo. My dad's 65.
Starting point is 00:16:47 I think my dad would poo-poo that. Who else is 61 that I saw recently and I was like, you God. Is Brad Pitt? Carl Chandler, because I've been watching lanterns. Oh, yep. Kyle Chandler's 61. He's aging brilliantly. Yeah, Brad Pitt's in his 60s now.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Well, how old is Tom Cruise? Riddle me that. He'd be 60-something. He'd have to be in 60s, too. 64. Yes, keep it a tight turn, man. She'll be getting a gold card next year. So they were.
Starting point is 00:17:14 talking on this pod. He could get a gold card. Oh my God. I don't give him a gold card. Free, cheaper travel to wah hacking. Yeah. Free public transports and discounts. We need to start asset testing all these old people, don't we?
Starting point is 00:17:24 We were running this country dry. Yeah, they are. That euthanisey thing didn't really take as many of them out. Anyway, so they're talking on this podcast and Burt Kreischer has an inn, an industry in with some previous assistance of Tom Cruise. And he knows some of the quirky things. things that his assistants had to do for him. I would say as a person,
Starting point is 00:17:48 I really like Tom Cruise. Like I think he works hard and he's, you know, he respects the craft and I don't know, I've always liked him. No, but he, but then you're like, why doesn't your daughter talk to you? And he, and he jumped on the couch. Remember when he jumped on the couch and everyone was like, yeah, you're crazy? Yeah, he's nuts.
Starting point is 00:18:03 Yeah. But I like him. I don't know. I don't know. But why doesn't your daughter talk to you? So here's some of the revelations from this podcast. So Tom Cruise reportedly, by the has someone who edits Formula One and soccer broadcasts so that he can watch a highlights only reel with no ads. No ads.
Starting point is 00:18:26 While he trains. So what he's at the gym, he gets delivered a package? It's like, here's today's race or here's today's game or match or whatever with all the crap bits cut out. Someone's done that for him. He shall not watch ads. allegedly they track where he is. I don't know if he's got a wearable
Starting point is 00:18:46 or if he's got his watch or something like that. Yeah. So when he finishes his workout, there is like a system of people that become aware of it and they say to each other, T-C's coming up so that his food is ready when he walks in. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:02 What? Another one claims that an assistant said that they make sure the shower is steaming by the time he gets to the bathroom. So it's running and ste- he doesn't have to, he's so famous and rich. On heat, steam. It's like he walks into the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:19:20 He's just finished his meal that was ready after his training, which he watched a Formula One that was edited, ads out, and he gets to the shower, and it's hot and steaming. Yeah. And the temperature would be just.
Starting point is 00:19:31 You know, like, it would be completely out. Now, apparently, like, he can't say, like, who we got the information from because, you know, Tom Cruise is private about his private life. But because he's been promoting that show Digger, which looks crazy. The movie. Sorry, the movie Digger.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Tom Cruise does like a big character. And he's prosthetics and stuff. Yeah, prosthetics and character and stuff. But yeah, so on his phone, he says he keeps his phone as far away as possible, tells crew not to email him, come and talk to me in person. So call sheets are given like, you'll be here at this time, picked up at this time, da-da-da. I'm not reading emails.
Starting point is 00:20:06 Too famous for that. What would you do if you got to that level of fame One thing that you would do I think I could turn on my own shower Yeah same same I turn it on to hot and then I put some toothpaste on my toothbrush That's how I feel that time Yeah
Starting point is 00:20:20 Then the hot water's on and then I just shower I wouldn't clean ever again No I wouldn't clean I wouldn't do a dish I'd have meals cooked for me Yeah majority of the time But sometimes I'd still want to do it myself Yeah because it's fun cooking isn't it
Starting point is 00:20:33 And I definitely want to not ever be contacted about are you available? You know, I just want people to tell me this is what's happening today. Wow. I think that would be my most extreme thing. He's definitely optimised his time, right? He's so busy.
Starting point is 00:20:47 He's not wasting a second of his waking day. He's not wasting a second of his waking day, turning on a shower or parenting his child. Why would he do that? He's got other things to do. Such a waste of time, mate. The Zidavok cast network. So silly, silly, silly.
Starting point is 00:21:06 That's... Well, for silly little poll, we ask, what does the plain bathroom graphic depict? you'll be familiar with this if you've been on a plane it lights up green when you can use it and it's red when you can't and there's a male figure on one side and a female figure on the other
Starting point is 00:21:30 and in the middle is it a toilet or is it a sink with a mirror? An online debate broke out. No dude, it's a sink with a mirror it's far too high to be a toilet. It's a big ass toilet and it looks nothing like a plane toilet.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Nothing like a plane toilet. I've never thought of this in my life by the way. No, it sits low. Plain toilet's very low. You might need to Google an image. Yeah. Yeah. It's too high to be a toilet.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I've always thought sink and mirror. I reckon this is something that we've brought to people's minds and now they'll never be able to unsee it. Yeah, this is a problem. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I'm going on a plane today. Secret squirrel stuff. You take a picture of said thing and let us know.
Starting point is 00:22:10 I'm just going to look at it and feel it. But the one I'm looking at is definitely a sink with a mirror. So we asked you, is that a toilet or is there a sink with a mirror? That is, I think I've always thought about it as a very tall toilet But it is a sink in a mirror It is a sink in a mirror It's a sink in a mirror Wow 75% of people responded sink in a mirror
Starting point is 00:22:29 25% still see a toilet though Yeah Maybe the bottom bits of toilet and the top bits a mirror No the top bit, if the bottom bits are toilet The top bit will be the cistern Yes Big tall cister Huge cistern you never see the cistern on a plane
Starting point is 00:22:42 Woman Lens cistern Hidden in the wall The standard of the sink says Gareth is too long to be an S-band. It's just... Oh, God, we're getting technical now. We're getting into it, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:52 The way I have literally never thought about this and have no idea what the answer is, consider my Tuesday evening shook, said, Brian, you've ruined my week. Oh, we're sorry. Why is it even up for debate? The stand is much too long, and if the square above was meant to be part of the toilet,
Starting point is 00:23:05 it would probably be filled in as well. Because it's just the outline of the mirror. Yeah, but when you're first glancing at it, the sign is toilet, I'm not there really. At first glance, it could be either, without too much study. And then you think about how tall that tall it would be. Julie said this might be the dumbest little poll you guys have ever done,
Starting point is 00:23:24 but it makes me love you more. Out of pity, do you think? Maybe, you may be. I think we've done some done ones before. Riannon, it looks like a toilet because it is a toilet. It's quite poetic, really. Well, she's really being definitive. Too tall for a toilet.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Surely the man graphic would have to point upwards to we and that, said Katie. Yeah, and the woman would have to go, But that'd be quite fun if you were a penis owner to tilt it up and try to get a fountain. Would it work like that if you'd have to have a powerful stream? Otherwise it would just trickle. When you don't have to clean the toilet at school, I remember there was the competition on how many steps back
Starting point is 00:23:59 you could take while still peeing and getting it in. Whoa. All part of the fun of having a sort of a pilotable pee projector. You guys get the best of it all really. Yeah, we really do. We kind of designed the whole world around ourselves. Not our orgasms. Never thought you there, that's true.
Starting point is 00:24:15 thought of a sink in a mirror before but now that I'm looking at of course it's a sink in a mirror that's not the toilet doesn't look anything like a toilet but always there was a toilet well now we're always going to see this now when we fly yeah I'm just I'm going to say now I'm just going to pop to the sink and mirror do you know what I just need to wash my hands and gawk at myself yeah are you able to kind of sorry can I just shuffle past I need a
Starting point is 00:24:33 bit of sink in mirror time to get to that the green lights on on the sink and mirror so I'm just going to take this opportunity to go sink in mirror yeah because you do say toilet lights on yeah toilet lights on so what is the plain graphic uh depict was today's silly little pole and 75% he seeing a sink with a mirror. The ZAM Podcast Network.
Starting point is 00:24:48 A live show start in Wellington at the Ombraours. Not this Friday, but next Friday, there are still some tickets for that show. There have been a couple of resales at the sold-out Hamilton show on the Saturday, October 10th. I'm not, we're not going to take that personally. It sounds like a couple of people have gone to Noah Khan. It sounds like they've gone to his second old show.
Starting point is 00:25:09 That's okay. I feel like we've beaten. It's okay. It happens. You know, it happens. Church Town Hall, still some tickets available. The last tickets for that show, Friday, October 16. LiveNation.com.com.com.
Starting point is 00:25:22 inced for those tickets. Now, we're not revealing everything that's going to happen during the live show because that would be silly to do. But one of the things we are going to do is play a live game. I can say this so. No. No? Do you don't want to...
Starting point is 00:25:37 Just say that we need a... We just need a steering wheel. We went to buy a steering wheel. Just a steering wheel, steering wheel. Why would we need to be in a car on stage? Haley. Who knows? Don't give away all the secrets for the show.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Who knows? Who knows? How is it this hard to fight? So you went to the junk shop, Vourney? Yeah, there was no, there was no steering wheels. I even said to the ladies, I was like, do you have any steering wheels? They went, what? I was like, car steering wheels.
Starting point is 00:26:05 No. I was like, ah, gay, now I sound crazy, but this is literally a dump shop. So, you know. Right, but it was a wreckers. No, no, no. It was the dump shop. and you go to the wreckers, the car parts. Oh, yeah, I looked online,
Starting point is 00:26:19 they're very expensive. So, I'm just... We're running on a tight budget here. Shoe string. And the rickers know what they've got. Because they're wreckers. Yeah. The dump shop, they're just like,
Starting point is 00:26:29 that's just something else we can get 20 bucks. Well, it doesn't sound like you really tried hard enough, to be honest. I gave it a red hot go. There was a great wreckers and lower heart back in the day. It was like phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:26:41 See, I really feel like a steering wheel should be 10 bucks. So we need a steering wheel. We even tried to find a toy steering wheel, a kid's steering wheel. Not possible. Yeah, not one that had like, you know, tunes and stuff. I'm just having a look on Tarado Me. Oh, we're not paying that much.
Starting point is 00:26:58 How much are they? Okay, there's one here. 3499. Oh, we can do better than that. Look, has anybody listening now that has a steering wheel? It's remarkably cheaper. But it's all new and yuck. We need a worn-in,
Starting point is 00:27:13 grippable steering wheel. Right. How heavy is a steering wheel? Like we need this as a prop on stage, but is it actually going to be heavy if it's not on a stick? Yeah. Maybe. Well, this is what we need your help with. If you have a steering wheel, just laying about.
Starting point is 00:27:32 96.96. Or DMs. I mean, we make, you know, up to $30. Oh, so instead of going at work, it potentially has an airbag in it. So I'm not sure it'll be safe to. I didn't even think about that. Oh yeah, we don't want to be doing whatever we're doing on stage with a steering wheel.
Starting point is 00:27:50 And an airbag goes out. And an airbag pops off. Although, oh, I have it and carry on on a plane and something happens in it. Yeah. And it deploys. Yeah. Okay, so we need a steering wheel
Starting point is 00:28:00 without an airbag in it. I'm sorry, Diker just messaged. Cardboard. Okay, we're on a budget, but we're not. We're not cardboard. We're not cardboard. This is an air free. Although we may have to go to cardboard
Starting point is 00:28:10 if we don't get one of these. Oh, next weekend in Wellington. If you see us on stage with a cardboard, yeah. We ran out of money and we couldn't find a good steering wheel. So if you can help with that, fantastic. Also, if you are coming to any of our shows, we have emailed out to everyone that has bought tickets. A little questionnaire.
Starting point is 00:28:27 A little questionnaire. And that's, if you want to take part in the show, and it can be very passive. You don't have to bloody necessarily come up on stage. But maybe we're going to ask you for some juicy stories, or if you want to play, I bet I can guess him up. Oh, man, that's also on the show. That's also on the show.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Yeah, well, exactly. But, you know, there's just a few questions that are going to help us involve you in the show. Yeah, so look out for that in your inbox if you're coming along to the show. And also, we have some giveaways as well. Yeah, and they're going to be up on our, are they up on our socials now? Yes, so if you go to FBHZM on Instagram. Yeah, yeah, we have to see a video, you comment, who you'd like to bring with you. And you can come along because we're planning a lot.
Starting point is 00:29:06 And I'm not going to spoil it all, but we're going to be on stage of the steering wheel. Hopefully. Hopefully. Someone said, do what play school used to do and use a paper plate. Make our own. Brum, rum, brum, brum, bros. They'd make their own, wouldn't they?
Starting point is 00:29:20 And then in the next segment, they'd be using it. And you're like, well, okay, do you know what I actually? Big Ted, you little bastard. I actually love that idea. A paper plate. No, please, someone get us a steering wheel. I cannot be on stage with a paper plate. Play Z.M's flesh, forune and haley.
Starting point is 00:29:37 So I think this came about because we were talking about steak, as in beef steak, like a delicious red meat steak. Can't be beaten when you cook it right. And Shannon said, yeah, like my chicken steaks. I was like, you mean a breast, the chicken breast. And I said, what the hell is a chicken steak? And then I think Carwin piped in with, you know, a hamsteak but chicken.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Yeah. And I was like, I am no closer to an answer on what a chicken steak is when the comparisons are hamsteak but chicken. Ham steak just being a thick slice of ham. Yeah. Usually reheated on a barbecue. Sometimes cut into a circular shape. Sometimes.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Always cut into a circular shape. Always cut into a circular shape. Oh, you're talking about the actual proper hamstakes. No, I'm talking about, you know, on Christmas, you've got a big leg of ham. Big fat ham. No, no, no, no, no, no. We're talking a thick cut disc. A pork luncheon basically.
Starting point is 00:30:28 A ham disc. Fried to somehow make it better. Yeah. And Shannon's like, you know, the chicken steaks. I said, no, I don't know chicken steaks. And I said, is it a chicken breast? It's just chicken steak, mate. I have this pretty much.
Starting point is 00:30:39 The chicken is a steak. So it's a very exciting week because at Will Worst, Teagle is half price. And so we're still getting up on chicken steak. Not spone. Not spawn. Teagle's half price on everything? Takeout. The Teagle takeouts, I still haven't tried those.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Oh, they're so good. Dude. I know, I haven't. But when I say Teagle takeouts, you say, you know, I call it homemade KFC. Yeah. And then it tells you what it is. It's, uh, there's thigh, there's breast, there's drumstick, you know. No, but I'm having.
Starting point is 00:31:05 But what is a chicken steak? Chicken steak. So I eat these, and I know this is not recommended. and sorry Teagle, because I don't have a freezer, I just fridge them, but they are meant to be frozen. Oh, God, Jesus. But we eat them real quick. Like, I get through a bag in, like, a day or two.
Starting point is 00:31:19 This is why we need to get you into a new apartment because you don't have enough space for a freezer. We're not allowed a freezer. It's in my lease. What is happening? I told you this. I'm not allowed a freezer. I thought the freezer thing was space-based. No, I'm not allowed one. Because the whiteware and furniture is all supplied.
Starting point is 00:31:36 It's supplied. I think it's like it might blow up the building. It does feel like a halfway house. It does. It does. It's a big halfway sort of rehabilitating somebody back into the community.
Starting point is 00:31:46 Halfwaying in this house. But no, chicken steaks. Would you be allowed a fridge freezer? No, I'm not allowed to do anything. She's allowed to get out of this place. You've got to get out of this place. Carry on. I like it.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Come on. I'm just saying it. I don't live with me. I just do it. Come on. I just don't know why you guys are all so surprised by these chicken steaks. Text in 9-6-9-6.
Starting point is 00:32:06 I'm sure everyone eats these weekly. It's the go-to chicken Patty. You just said before I eat these most days. Yeah, most days. So I have two meals at the moment. That and then I also eat, I call it two dogs, one bun, and I get two hot dogs and I put it in one bun. What are that vegetables?
Starting point is 00:32:24 Oh, like. Christ alive. Yeah, no. And that's what you said, okay, so I've found the chicken steaks. By the way, there's some chargrew chicken sticks. Yeah, everyone eats these. Not everyone on. There's three messages.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Not everyone and not most days. There's three messages. This feels like I'm looking at them now. They feel. like a treat. Like you're having burger night and you whack one on a burger. They're a burger paddy, basically. But I just eat them with a knife and fork.
Starting point is 00:32:47 So it's moolied up chicken. It's like a nugget. It's a giant. It's a large, flat nugget. It's like a chicken burger. It's a thin nugget. It's a 71% nugget. It's like that thick. The size of like my hand. Nugget fit. So it's a burger paddy. It's a big nugget.
Starting point is 00:33:01 It's a burger paddy. Why is it called a steak? If it's a burger patty, it should just be called jumbo nugs. Steak. Steak. Someone said process. but very high in protein. Like you laugh at the name steak, but that is what Tegel has called them in China.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Why is it only got three and a half stars on the, I know the stars, I know the health stars is a nothing chart right now. Yeah, because like wine's got one and it's literally fruit. My V right now has 3.5. Yeah. My sugar free bee. That is insane.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Your sugar free V has as many health stars as Charger or chicken steak. So you're on a three and a half star menu. Yeah, yeah. My threshold for life is three and a half health stars. Okay. I go 71% chicken. according to
Starting point is 00:33:39 That's good See I'm a 49% though Flour Flour Flour Vegetable oils Stabilizer Seminila
Starting point is 00:33:47 Not salmonella Similina Similina And I know it's one of my Fatal Floors is I'm a dry gal I don't do sauce So she
Starting point is 00:33:55 I'm having one tonight I'll send a photo through it I almost think we need to put it on our socials minute Is this an acceptable amount of dryness It's so dry It's just you've just got It's a plate
Starting point is 00:34:07 with your, what is it called a chicken steak on it? Yeah, and then that's it. That was dinner. I just had one chicken steak. But when I have my... Why, you need to eat some vegetables? When I have two dogs, one bun, I just do cheese and no sauce.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Someone is sexing in two dogs, one bun, it's too close. It's just how I eat my hot dogs because two bread is too much. So when I messaged it, I draw the line at anything that has faux char-grilled lines. Yeah, that'll paint it on. They paint them on. This is so dry. It looks like you've cut into a piece of white bread. Like, no effect, Tango.
Starting point is 00:34:42 I'm sure with the right amount of sauce, this is delicious. It's a nugget. So many measures. I don't have nuggets. I just have been looking at that photo again. I need a drink. Yeah, we're thirsty. Because you're dry.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Well, when we go to Nonald, I don't get sauce for my nuggets. And you guys always like, hey, that's wild. Were you a trick-in-nugger kid growing up? We weren't takeaway as kids. Yeah. No, were you like a, were you like, I don't want to even, I just want plain pasta. No sauce. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I was no sauce from day one. Literally, someone's just picked through saying they're changing station, Shannon. This is bad for our brand. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, I'll make you a hot dog. It's good. A huge argument here.
Starting point is 00:35:18 The fake char grill lines are part of what makes it taste 10 times better. Yeah, I agree. I don't know. It's trick in the brain. As a self-recllaimed chicken nugget adult, no sauce is criminal. Yeah, look, it's embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:35:30 That's when she's in a throw is like, where's everything else? She's like, no, this is it. I'm like, there's nothing. There's just this chicken steak. Yeah, that was done. dinner. There's no five. We've got to get some. What about vegetables? I mean, I know you're not allowed a fruit bowl
Starting point is 00:35:43 because that's against them meth matter policy. What about some vegetables? Oh, not a nap meal. I had food during the day. Not a napole. What? The main meal of the day. No, she's got a sugar free fee and she's had her other thing. You know, she's doing well. I had
Starting point is 00:35:58 vegetables with lunch. Yeah. What? What? No, I had Hello Mister. I had Vietnamese rolls. I had like actual vegetables. So it's got a little bit of iceberg lettuce in it and a string of carrot.
Starting point is 00:36:11 Yeah. And mostly noodles. And mostly noodles. Yeah. No sauce though or no either by the way. Just accidentally saw that photo again. Vera, you've got to drink some water. Oh man, I've got to hydrate up.
Starting point is 00:36:22 Someone just said growing up we had chicken steaks with the apricot sauce from barkers. Major treats. Yeah, but now we're talking as part of something bigger. Oh, chicken steak girl over here. It's, yeah, God, I'm worried. The ZM podcast. Network. Let's talk about when lending money,
Starting point is 00:36:43 lending a bit of cash to friends or family caused a massive drama. Because there's a man, I was reading this online, he was sharing this his experience. His name's Richard. He lives in the UK. He's an investment director, so he knows money. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:55 And he's got a bit of it, okay? He's doing all right for himself. Now, he is married to a woman, and this woman's sister is going through a divorce, which is super fun for her. Now, she wants to stay in the family home, but she doesn't have enough money outright to buy him out of the home
Starting point is 00:37:12 or get that amount that she needs on a mortgage on her own. So she comes to her sister, wife of the banker, and says, you know, would you help me out here? Yeah. Either come on the mortgage with me so I can borrow a bit more or can I just outright borrow 400,000 pounds. Hey, Jesus.
Starting point is 00:37:32 Like $800,000 New Zealand dollars. Cricy, dude. Sure. I think we're talking about some people in a slightly upper tier of society. Yeah. Big money here. But she doesn't have the money. She wants to stay in the family home to buy out the husband.
Starting point is 00:37:47 She has to have 400,000 pounds, $800,000 New Zealand. Asks, so the sister goes, oh my God, darling, of course. Like, let me just talk to husband. We've got money. We'll help you out. Now, she has not had a good history with money, the sister. Right. And the husband's like, excuse me, we've literally.
Starting point is 00:38:05 talked about money and how terrible she is with money. She's not going to pay it back. Or if I go on the mortgage and she misses payments like this, then you're on the hook for it. Yeah, I'm going to get bad credit and I just don't want to do this. And the wife had a massive blow up and called him a heartless banker. And is looking basically at like divorcing him. So the whole thing is like a big mess.
Starting point is 00:38:27 But I'm like, if he had said yes and this sister missed her payments or whatever, the family would be torn apart. Like it would just be a nightmare. And it always is the thing, you know, you want to be generous, you want to help people out when they're in need, but maybe it just absolutely caused a rift in your family or a drama. That's what I want to know.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Yeah, I know people that have lent friends money and then they just don't pay them back. It's like, no, no, no. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no. Like, I'll shout you a meal. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:59 But I, no, I'm not. Yeah, there'd be very few people I lend money to it. It's just a rule. amount of money too and she's got a history of not been great with money. Because you just see it all the time and then it's awkward, they don't pay you back. What's out saying and then money you're willing to lend someone is
Starting point is 00:39:14 you've got to be willing to never see again. Yeah. 100%. Only, yeah, only lend what you would be able to lose. Yeah. But maybe it wasn't that much. Like this is, you know, like people get a bit petty these days. Maybe you're like, can you spot me 20? I want to go and get a thing and then you're
Starting point is 00:39:30 just like, where's my money, bionch? You owe me 20 bucks. $100.000 at em, we want to take your calls now. Text us, 9-696. Oh, okay, sorry, that message that just came in. That's going to be a fun one to pick things off. When did loaning money cause a drama? God, there's just so
Starting point is 00:39:46 many, it's so sad. I know. Lent 20 bucks once. Never got it back, so I had to threaten her with 20 f and wax. That's good. Probably Karen texting in. My partner's dad borrowed money from us to set himself up when he moved to Australia.
Starting point is 00:40:02 He went to Australia and then went on to Thailand and came back with a wife much younger than both of his daughters. I don't think that's what the money was for. Yeah, he wasn't spoken to for two years. Eventually he traded that one in for an older model that had the upgraded airbags. Yeah, lovely.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Nice set of new airbags. Nice. Good God. And they never got the money? Never got the money. Yeah. Wow. I just, am I reading that number correctly? I was wondering whether or not there's an extra zero popped on, but they've put a comma in the right place. So I'm thinking it must be $550,000.
Starting point is 00:40:33 What? lent my husband $550,000 for his company. Half a million. We'll just call that half a million. Oh my God. He's now my ex. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:45 There's a lot of marriages end up. Also, if a company needs half a million dollars, is it doing that well? And he's now my ex, and the money is due back mid-next year. That's six months away, baby, basically, in my mind, right end of the year. And I have a nightmare pretty much every week
Starting point is 00:41:01 that he won't pay it back. I'll never loan money to anyone ever again, not even $10. That's why I've got a rule, don't loan money. In six... I mean, in six to eight months, can you please text us and tell us if he made that payment? Just for us. We need an update on that.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Just for us. 100%. Yes, please. I don't think we've got a bigger number than 550,000, but there are so many messages of people getting drama caused by loaning money. We'll get to the rest next. Keep your text coming in, 966. When did loaning money cause a big drama?
Starting point is 00:41:32 The ZM Podcast Network Play ZM's FlashForn and Haley This is so, it's just like There's massive amounts of money And then there's just smaller amounts of money But just the principle of it makes you feel a bit sick Yeah Yeah
Starting point is 00:41:45 My ex's bestie Bailed their dad out of $10,000 online gambling debt without their mum's knowledge The dad started paying the back But then died They were left horrendously out of pocket And then what did they go to mum and say By the way I was paying off dad's gambling
Starting point is 00:42:02 debt? Yeah. Can I have some of dad's... Oh my God. Dad, if he's 10 grand in debt for gambling, probably doesn't have life insurance, right? Maybe not? No, he doesn't. I lent money to a friend. She was more my ex-partner's friend and she didn't pay her back for weeks until I told him that
Starting point is 00:42:18 she wasn't paying me back and she coughed it up. She borrowed money off my ex every week and would pay him back on Monday until I said to him, you've got to stop this. Yeah, because she has a partner. Yeah. There's another one. I lent a friend. And 450 bucks, as she said she was desperate.
Starting point is 00:42:34 When we were also struggling at the time too, but I gave it. It took me 11 months of asking for it back. And she only paid me two payments of 70 bucks, then left and moved to the South Island. It was hard out shopping, setting up her new place. And I never told my husband. What the hell? Never told my husband.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I mean, it is hard when someone asks you and they really need it. But you just have to say, no, I don't have that money. Yeah. But you just have to be ruthless. Yeah. If you're really struggling, you have to say, I would want to. I'm just not the right person to ask, but please ask someone out. I'll help in other ways.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Yeah, exactly. You cook your meal or something. Oh, my God. I gave my five-year-old daughter $100, well, $100 note to buy some toys for her birthday, because then she got to choose what she wanted. I gave it to my ex-wife to hold on to because children do lose things. Children do. And when she's gone to pay, the money, she didn't have the money.
Starting point is 00:43:26 And so she said, you shouldn't be using a $100. a lot of note to buy your own toys and now my wife's taken the $100. Oh! And my ex-wife's taking the $100 and the kids like, can I buy $100? No. After my divorce, I came into a little bit of money, obviously to buy another home, but I wasn't there yet. So the money sat in the bank until it could accumulate.
Starting point is 00:43:46 My older cousin came to me and asked to borrow $8,000. And I was happy to help. It was just sitting there at the time in his family. What's the worst it could happen? I'm sorry, a cousin, no. 20 years later. I haven't seen a dime and I haven't even seen him.
Starting point is 00:44:03 He's been banished from our extended family. Clearly blood is not thicker than water. A-K to a cousin. No. My cousins are listening. Matthew Cameron. You're not getting me. But if my cousins are listening,
Starting point is 00:44:14 can I borrow a grant? Yeah, yeah, you're nice. My adult son's friend, who's also an adult, messaged me out of the blue wanting to borrow $3,000. I said, no. I only see this woman at the odd function. It was so weird. So then she went to my son and asked him for $3,000
Starting point is 00:44:32 and he said yes. Oh, my God. We recently had a function she came to. She wouldn't even talk to me because I wouldn't consider her loaning her money. Oh, for God's sake. That's your true colours, eh? Oh, you might leave me the money when I'm not going to talk to you. My dad asked me for $10 when I was 8 years old.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Now when you're 8 years old, 10 bucks is a lot of money. Took me 10 bucks. I haven't seen that 10 bucks. Prick. Someone I was talking to on Tinder for two days. Asked me for 200 bucks to cover the rest of their rent. I quickly said no and unmatched them. Dude, I don't even know you.
Starting point is 00:45:00 What the hell? Put a been a good story, though. Sometimes you've got to be like, how good's this story going to be? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do a whip around your friend group and be like, if we all put in 30. We're going to have a hell of a story.
Starting point is 00:45:11 And we can follow this tether. Yeah, I refuse. I'm like me trying to get a back. To lend money to my sister, she's got a terrible history with money and been bankrupt before. And I said, no, I'm not lending you money. And she hasn't spoken to me in four years as a result. Wow.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Yeah. I was going through a few years ago. I was trying to through a toxic breakup at the time. but the time we were back together and I paid a couple of weeks rent because he was broke and couldn't afford it. A few weeks later we finally broke up for good and I demanded the rent money back.
Starting point is 00:45:36 Took months for me able to get that back. It was around $600 and I'd never do it again. Sometimes you just cut your losses with that, if you don't want to see them again. It's just like, I'd just pay $600 to never deal with you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'd actually pay more. Consider it a departure administration fee. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:52 But that goes back to that thing of only lend money you can afford to lose. Yeah, exactly. No matter how big. If you can afford to lose $550,000 to your husband. Lend it. Lend it. There you go.
Starting point is 00:46:04 But you have to accept the fact that it may not come back. Someone just texts in my motto is don't lend any money that you're not opposed to it. No, we are on the same page. We actually said that first. We actually have trademarked that half an hour ago. We'll see you in actual. We'll see you in IP court. I loaded $800 to my sister.
Starting point is 00:46:20 My mom has given her the money to pay me back twice and I haven't seen a dollar of it. Why? But why would she give it to the sister to pay you? Why didn't mum pay you back directly? Yeah. Maybe the mum didn't want the sister to look useless or something? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Maybe. I'd keep that between us, but now they're fin-na. I paid $1,000 for flights for a friend to move to London with me. She ended up pregnant. Never came. I only paid $100 back to me. It's been eight years. I'm not seeing that money, am I?
Starting point is 00:46:49 Mm. No. My sister said she'd give me $20 if I didn't tell our mom where she was because she'd run away. Long story short, she ran away for about eight years and had a kid and she passed at 25 and I don't get my 20 bucks back. Jesus. There's a lot in that story.
Starting point is 00:47:04 She's dead now. She's dead. Hang on, I thought you run away like you do when you're a kid. You're like, I'm leaving. Yeah. Come back an hour later because you're cold and hungry. I'm going to Charlotte. She ran away for eight years and had a kid and now she's dead.
Starting point is 00:47:16 No, I didn't get my 20 bucks. I'm so sorry. The Z&M Podcast Network. Guys, I'd like to announce that very shortly within two to seven days. You may notice. I'm not frowning. much. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Has that happened? She's back, baby. Botox is back. Got a little Botox yesterday. Do you get a little toxic? Do you get a little. Let me see you that. Didn't you just literally say
Starting point is 00:47:39 last week you're not getting it? I'm not getting it. Listen, I've, how long has it been? Like over a year ago, I stopped doing Botox just for fun. Yeah. And then, looking at my eyebrows.
Starting point is 00:47:55 Anyway, so long and short, I stopped doing Botox for fun And I kind of liked it And then I was doing all my touring this year And I had to say it, I'm in much bigger venues that I used to be So it's important for people at the back of the theatre To be able to see full expression available For my show Sproul on the Prout So I haven't had it for a long, long time
Starting point is 00:48:17 And then just recently I was like, I might get a little, P, little, little bit. So I've been, I can, had got recommended a person from a friend who was like, you know, you've got to go see Sarah. She's really, you know, she's got to have a little chat about the overall face and, you know, our vision for her.
Starting point is 00:48:35 And I finally get an appointment yesterday. Did you walk in and she was like, ah? Yeah, she was like, Jesus! It's a full redo. It's a knock her down and rebuild. No, no, she was very lovely. And go in and I was just chatting about things. And I said to her, you know, I need to be able to express my face
Starting point is 00:48:51 and not be frozen, all this kind of stuff. and I was like, cramble. I'm going to get a little bit. So I've just got maybe like a third of what I used to get. Oh, okay. So just we're just going to see. Still want to be able to like go, let you know how I'm feeling,
Starting point is 00:49:05 but maybe just prevent those big lines that have been having. Frowns in the middle. Also do with whatever you want to do with your face. Yeah, it can take like one to seven days. And then with, and then it's good and then it starts to fade away. And because I've gone super light, it'll fade away faster.
Starting point is 00:49:19 We're trying. While I was looking up this person, she's really good. And again, don't judge me, you can do your face, whatever you want to do. And I'm the same. Sometimes I like to let her be. Sometimes I like to have a little fun.
Starting point is 00:49:36 She really good at putting a little bit of in the lips. Oh, for Christ's sake. You don't need this. No, no, no, no. What in the lips? Filler. Like filler. A little bit of filler in the lips.
Starting point is 00:49:48 Now because I've got like a very, very big eyes and expressive eyes, sometimes I sort of feel like my mouth can't keep up in its appearance. I've never looked at your mouth and gone. Little mouth. Little mouth. No, I've just got normal, like average lips. Right. Anyway, so I had mentioned this to new boyfriend, Mike.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Yeah. New boyfriend, a year. Yeah. I had mentioned this that I was like, I'm going to go see this new woman for Botoxy. You know, and he does the usual boyfriend things. You don't need any of that. No, no, no. I said, I was thinking about getting it's a tiny little bit of lip filler.
Starting point is 00:50:21 And he was like, don't do that. No, no, no, no. You don't need to be doing that. Like, you know, great lips. Great lips, he said. Anyway, so I message him yesterday, and he was trying to message me. I said, oh, I'm just about to go into that appointment. He was like, are you getting anything done?
Starting point is 00:50:34 And I just sent him a photo that I used AI. And I just sent like a normal waiting room photo. And I said, give me a little bit of lip filler. And it gave me, like, quite obvious lip filler. Yeah, but that's not an obviously. fake photo either. No, no, that was the photo, everything was just me, I was in there and I'm just going at this, and I just, oh, maybe
Starting point is 00:50:54 double the size lips, or maybe a half size more? You look like you're from Sydney in that photo? Yeah. You look like you live on the Goldie or Sydney? Girls, we're going to have such a fun time in the Hunter Valley this week. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I send that off to him, and he goes, ha, ha, ha,
Starting point is 00:51:10 oh my God, don't you even dare, is that a filter? I will say, his message before said, said, by the way, you can do what it's your face, you can do whatever you want. And then I go quiet for an hour because I'm in this appointment with this woman in which I discuss I'm not I didn't get any lip filler but I got a little bit of talks and then I said
Starting point is 00:51:27 heading home now and I sent him a photo of me walking to the car and I said don't worry the swelling's going to go down and I added more in on the AI added more in on the AI You look even more like you'd live on the Goldie or Sydney yeah yeah yeah we're going to find ourselves a lovely rugby league before to settle down
Starting point is 00:51:45 with this making sure he immediately goes Oh shit, I'm so sorry, baby I thought that you were taking the piss And you sent me a filtered pick It's totally fine You can do whatever you want with your face Yeah, no, no, no, yeah, it's cool I'm sure the swelling will go down
Starting point is 00:51:59 And they look great I was like, oh my God, he believes it And I was trying so hard to hold on But he had gone all quiet Thinking he defended me by being like Ooh, your face And then I was like, well no, I've done it But the swelling's gonna go down
Starting point is 00:52:11 And then I sent him a picture of my thin little mouth I said, don't worry, I didn't do it He was like, oh my God, thank God, I thought I put my foot in it, but I thought you'd gone a little bit overboiled. Does the filler make the lips numb? No. What changes in the feeling sensation? It's just like a thing, I don't know, I've never had it. Oh, it's just very, it's fascinating to me.
Starting point is 00:52:34 I know. But yeah, man, the AI photo, he felt so bad. That is easy for me to say being a perfect tendon or. I can't even see your top lip. You could do it a little bit. Look at them. They're gone. Thin little white man lips. Yeah, little white man lips. Hidden under the bed, aren't they? The ZM Podcast Network. 31.8% of Aussies are waiting for their partner to propose.
Starting point is 00:52:55 Oh gosh. It's a lot of waiting. Yeah. And apparently a lot of Aussie men are putting this off, according to this study, because there's pressure, and it all comes down to finding the right ring. It's not even about the whole proposal and the how you're going to propose. It's not even about the forthcoming marriage. Or spending the rest of the lot.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Your life with them. No, no, no. That doesn't scare them. 10 years. 5 to 10 years. 10 to 15 max. And then you do your next one. But yeah, apparently...
Starting point is 00:53:26 Because I learnt this for my show. 17.2 years is our average in New Zealand. 17.2 years? Yeah. That's a big average. Stats in Z. 17.2 years is the average length of a marriage. A lot of wasted time though, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:53:40 Because after 17.2, you're like... What's a hell of a way of looking at? So don't bother? So don't bother? So don't bother, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So waiting for the, so they're too anxious to commit to a ring, right? Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:55 They know that they'll love or anything. So this article also mentions there's a Melbourne business, a Melbourne jeweler that will, if you want to propose to your girlfriend or your boyfriend, or your boyfriend, whatever, you don't have to conform in any way? Conform, no. They will loan your ring. Obviously, the proviso that you're going to buy the engagement ring from them. they will loan you a lone ring.
Starting point is 00:54:16 But that's nice. And then if it doesn't fit or it's not the right one, there's no pressure. You can go back. You just go back and get whatever she wants. Yeah, but if you do custom, which a lot of people do now, if you go, I'm going to design this ring for her because I know her so well and she loves this. It's yellow gold. You're like, I'll stop you there.
Starting point is 00:54:35 We did you get it how many years? I'm a silver girl. That's okay. You can't return custom jewelry. And sometimes, I mean, wedding engagement rings very, from 500 bucks to 50k. Yeah, I know. It can be insane money.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Would you care though if you got proposed to a ring that you didn't end up with? No. Sort of a price or a ring? No, but I'm probably not the best. I mean, I was engaged and I had kind of hinted at a jeweller that anything from there would be great. So I knew that I would like the ring.
Starting point is 00:55:06 I mean, yeah. But I'm also not so kind of whimsical that I would need a grand surprise and wanted to know nothing. I'm a little bit too much in control that I'd be like, don't go rogue and choose it without me. And don't spend too much money. Yeah, and don't spend too much money. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Because after all, this isn't forever. Well, because the moment we do get married, bro, that's kind of my money as well. Do you know what I mean? If you're spending 20K on an engagement ring, I'd be like, God, do you know what I do love more? Holidays. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:36 What's the engagement ring calculator at? Remember? That was something something. It wasn't at two? wasn't it two months paycheck? Just honestly go cheap because like I said
Starting point is 00:55:50 nothing lasts forever Almost why bother. Almost why bother, you know Almost why bother? But also love is alive We're pulled a Ui on that So you do you For now
Starting point is 00:56:01 The ZEMS podcast network Play ZM's Fleshed and Haley Fact of the day Day day Day day day Yeah. Two do do to do do do to do to do to do.
Starting point is 00:56:17 Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do. Before I think St. Pierre's. Before I think St. Pierre's. It was a bit so nice. And he's pointing at me all angry. And I'm like, you just have got my microphone turned down. This is out of my, this is out of my control. It was my fault that I wasn't coming through.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Wow. I tried to silence a white man. How do you? I was trying to look something up with my computer while we're singing. I was like, this sounds like shit, man. We're sounding a bit thin. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, it's born.
Starting point is 00:56:48 Thank you. The song takes three. It does. It does. It does. It sounds fun, thin. Yeah. You really.
Starting point is 00:56:54 Guys, I've pressed that mic thing where I'm dictating everything into a message. Oh, no, you know. We've got to be careful with that. One day, that's going to get me into a lot of trouble. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, my look, fact of the day, song is in there. Day, day, day, day.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Do, do, do. Well, St. Pierre's bring us today's fact of the day, as they do all the time lately. Today's show of the day's eight pieces of tasty tuna mayo for $8.40. And you know where you find tuna? Oh, yeah. In the sea. You know what else is in the sea? Shipwrecks.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Plastics. Microplasters. So many places. Do you know what my algorithm is at the moment? What? People cleaning up third world countries waterways. Oh, my God, I love. When they catch them in a trap?
Starting point is 00:57:35 And then did you say it? No, they're doing it by hand. It's grim work. Did you see the thing which is like me using a plastic straw meanwhile in India and it's like a truck dumping loads of rubbish in the waterways? Yeah, why bother? Now did you see the story that I see New Vaughan about the shipwreck? Yes, it was in the news.
Starting point is 00:57:57 The storm exposed that, right? Yeah, so the storm hitting the US has exposed a mystery shipwreck. There's so many shipwrecks over there. I was reading about it. They reckon it's a 19th century shipwreck. It's a very old part of the states, that East Coast part up there. Do you pull it up or will it fall apart when you get it out of the sea? It'll fall apart.
Starting point is 00:58:18 I think it's wooden, right? It's laying on the bottom. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Wasn't it from the 1800s? What do you think it's plastics? What are they made of now? What are they made for?
Starting point is 00:58:27 They're carbon. Some steel involved? Oh, no. I want to tell you about the roll-on, roll-off car ferry, the Herald of Free Enterprise. None of that made sense to be The herald of free enterprise is the name of the boat Yeah
Starting point is 00:58:42 And it is a roll-on roll-off car ferry So darling if we were to take the outer to Oaxaca darling Darling that's a roll-on roll-off car Oh I've never, do you know I've never I've never taken the car I've never taken a car I've never taken to go through horribly stalked And you roll on and you roll off
Starting point is 00:58:59 Is it Russell? Yep Yep over there What is technically the Intrylander isn't one A Well it's technically You don't roll on roll on roll-roll-off you drive on park it all rammed in and then you got a back off. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Well, sometimes you do a loop round. I'm happy to be correct on on that actually if the inter-arlander is. Class is a roll-on, roll-off. Or the blue bridge. Or the blue bridge. Or the blue bridge. There's a new route running from Zabrug to Dover.
Starting point is 00:59:22 That is between Belgium and Britain. Now, there was a sun... The Sun newspaper was offering Brits a one-pound return trip to Belgium upon the ferry. So that's pretty good. Schedule's tight. They are cranking. 90 minutes between crossings.
Starting point is 00:59:36 unload, clan, reload, back and forward, back and forward. Now, the thing about a roll on, roll off is the bow of the boat is often a ramp, isn't it? Yes. So the bows down, people are rolling on, the ships are really like, that was good.
Starting point is 00:59:51 That was pretty good. I really surprised myself. The little bit of it sounded. You do one. It's harder from a woman. Oh, that was good. It's that little escape of air before you get into the...
Starting point is 01:00:04 Like a fart. Good. You do one. It's a pity you don't have any other skills. But this one sings. Oh, no, terrible. Cartoon. What is this?
Starting point is 01:00:16 A cartoon. It's strike two for you. That's strike two. You didn't turn my microphone on for the song and you just did a terrible. Is that strike three, that second attempt? That's strike 2.5. For one more. So, this roll on, roll off, the bow, the captain is running late.
Starting point is 01:00:31 He's a... It's so good. So good. Let's leave. Now, one person's in charge of pulling the bow up. The captain can't see it. You can see where the problem is. You can see where we're going.
Starting point is 01:00:41 You can see where we're going. We've got a sight line issue here. So the other problem is the ballast tanks have been filled up to lower the ship. So they're in line with the loading ramp. So they're going. They suck on a hole in all where the ship sinks down. The bowels down. The car and's drive on.
Starting point is 01:00:52 The car's over. So then the captain's like, reverse. No problem here. Yeah. Because he's reversing. Turns it around. Goes. And he's like, everybody, everybody,
Starting point is 01:01:04 everybody all good? everybody all good everyone's like yep everyone's all good Steve are you all good Steve are you all good Steve's just like oh we don't have time punches it Steve's had a nap Steve's in charge of pulling up the bow
Starting point is 01:01:16 Oh Steve God how nice is a snooze on a boat though Lovely just the rocking He was probably just sitting in port Just been like God this is the life Yeah just like sleeping on a water bed So it didn't happen
Starting point is 01:01:28 He turned around and he punched it across Now the bow was down The ballast was full And it soon just started taking on water Oh, like one of those duck boats. Yeah. Oh, because, yeah, yeah, yeah. The bow was down, so the water just came up instead of pushing it.
Starting point is 01:01:41 And then, of course, once that went down under, it was just pushing itself further down into it. Goodness me. So, everybody lost all their cars. What year was this? This was in 1987. Oh, they've made some nice cars in there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:52 I love the 80s cars. They had a sort of square era of cars. Yeah, some square Mercedes. Yeah, because if you go to Belgium, it might have only been one pound to get there, but you've got to think about the price once you get there, you know, for the weekend. So what was the repercussions for old Snoosy Lou? Well, Snoosy Lou lost his job, but 193 people died.
Starting point is 01:02:12 Oh. What? Yep. Water floated the car deck. The ferry capsized. So when it went down, and then it went warmth to the side because, I don't know, I'm... Oh, because Steve had a nap.
Starting point is 01:02:22 Yeah. And it went over within sight of the port, but it was already a kilometer out, making it a very hard rescue distance. A hundred and ninety three people died, and it was Britain's worst peacetime maritime disaster. since the Titanic. Oh, goodness a bit of a dark evening.
Starting point is 01:02:37 No exhibition for that, that was there. So, yeah. We go back to boat noise? Do you know what I mean? Yeah. What about, what was that? Why did you go so high? I just try something different.
Starting point is 01:02:46 You got to try this. Yeah, you don't die wondering. Yeah. About both. Yeah, imagine you. I'm going to go for a real big ship. Ready? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:58 They're really good at that. Build that, C, let's build the whole landscape. You do the sea noise. Like that. Really, guys You goodbye to Daddy He's off to the war Daddy, Daddy, don't die on the wall
Starting point is 01:03:17 You guys are overcomplicated You're overcomplicated This is so soon Daddy, don't die on the wall I grew up without a father Now I became a murderer I wasn't loved properly Every time I hear
Starting point is 01:03:27 I must murder I need a girl Daddy Daddy Daddy no I says I starred them Who was Daddy I never knew him I was but a lad
Starting point is 01:03:38 When that shit pulled out Oh, can I do two-time? Can I do a fog, two-time? Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, wow. Wow, what a hidden talent. Who knew? I can't wait for Daddy to return in nine months.
Starting point is 01:03:57 I'll be a boy by then. I'll be a boy. What are you now? A girl. Yeah. Wow. So this is a wartime loss story. It was a wartime transition.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Yeah. Everyone blamed the transition on the fact that he grew up without a father. No, it was in them all along. Well, today's back to the day. Is it in 1987 in Britain's... Sorry. Someone said, wow, this is peak radio. I am on a beach in Britain right now.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Daddy, no. See you soon, papa. Kill some Nazis for his, papa. Kill the Nazi scalps you can carry, boy. Hitler, I say, screw you, Hitler. I can't wait for Daddy to see the man I've become. Oh my God, someone said, my daughter is two years old. She's in the back seat.
Starting point is 01:04:51 She just asked where the boat was. Yeah, there you go. Great boat noise. Did she ask where Daddy was? Daddy's a war, sweetie. He's on mainland Europe, scalping Nazis. I thought he was going to be back by now. We haven't heard a word, my love.
Starting point is 01:05:05 He's still over there. He's still scalping Nazis. You're the man of the house now. I accept you. transition. You must go and earn us a keep. Yeah, but then granddad comes to town. Where's my watch?
Starting point is 01:05:17 There's none of this in my day. Good hiding, so you need. You'll always be my granddaughter, Susie. That sounds triggered me. Today's fact of the day. I'm going to murder granddad. Today's fact of the day. It's in 1987 thanks.
Starting point is 01:05:34 If someone having a nap, a roll-on, roll-off car ferry calls Britain's worst non-war-time maritime disaster. Fact of the day, day, day, day, day. Yeah. Du-d-d-to-do-to-do-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-do-d-d-d-do-d-d-do. The Z-M Podcast Network.
Starting point is 01:05:59 Awkward news, because there was a neighbour who had to leave a little note for his neighbour, who doesn't know very well, just informing them that the windows in their bathroom, not as frosted as they think they are. Oh. Getting a little bit more of an eye fill than I reckon you want. So I'm going to do you a favor. Yeah. This was shared, it was uploaded online and people were going like, oh my God, I need to
Starting point is 01:06:25 check mine. Because I definitely have some spots in my couch, in my house that there's direct eyelines. Yes. To that neighbor, that's their kids' room that goes into my bedroom. Oh, God. of that. And then the back deck is the new neighbor
Starting point is 01:06:43 who I've made friends with. Yes. So when I'm getting into the spa and I've got to go up the steps and in, they can see. The tiddies. You might need a plant, a big bush. I think I need some big bush.
Starting point is 01:06:54 You need some big bush. I need big bush to cover it all, to be fair. But okay, so telling a stranger that we can see you in the shower is awkward. Yeah, but maybe you had to be the bearer of awkward news. I mean, we all have to at some stage.
Starting point is 01:07:08 Do a little, hey, I just need to let you know, you know. Like, remember when the person had to confront you at the gym because of your odour, Vaughn? I don't want to talk about that. I don't want to talk about it. Oh my God, I forgot that you literally got pulled up about your stinkiness. And he's literally got a complex from it. And he's never let it go.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Never. Like you'll spray deodorant for two minutes. You do half a bottle. I actually cover myself, yeah. Yeah. I still maintain it probably wasn't even me. I remember I think it was just a stinky
Starting point is 01:07:39 stinky day What are you above smelling in the gym So I have a friend Who worked in hospital Like owned a couple of bars And he was always telling me About how awkward it was
Starting point is 01:07:52 When he had to pull up Barista That's the coffee one Not the law one About personal hygiene And like as a people please Have been like Hey mate look we've just
Starting point is 01:08:02 You're doing great start We just have to I don't know how I would even approach that. Like, how would make it not my problem. Yeah. I'm here to be liked. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:13 That's it. Yeah. I definitely, I have, um, if you've seen my live shows, you'll know this one. But I, my best friend had to call me years and years ago after I slept with her co-worker. And she had to let me know that maybe a trip to the doctor may be appropriate. For a couple of pills to take over the days of a week? Did he tell her? He told her because he was too mortified to tell me
Starting point is 01:08:43 that maybe I best just pop to the sexual health clinic and maybe get them to just give me a seven-day. A little run of antibiotics, shall we say, seven days. Because some people can be weird about that, but it's like, I don't know, it takes two to tango. Like it happens, just takes some. It's literally the best thing you could do is call them and be like, oh gosh, sorry, it's fine.
Starting point is 01:09:06 Yeah. I mean, if you take that badly and blame the other person, you're a bit of a piece of shit. Also, wake up, it's 236. But she was, she felt awkward because she's like, oh God, why are you making me do this? Okay, well, this is what we want to know this morning. Whenever you had to deliver some awkward news. Yeah. Whether it was, you know. Bargone now.
Starting point is 01:09:26 I always think that like a runaway bride, runaway groom, they didn't turn up. The person that has to come. Hello. Hi, hi. I was so excited. Now, first of all, you look lovely. By the way, snatch. Compliment sandwich.
Starting point is 01:09:38 Complement sandwich. You look lovely. You're incredible. The brides run away. Yeah. But. The bars open. And there's heads of hot chits here.
Starting point is 01:09:47 Hey. Compliment sandwich. But you had to deliver that news. What about like being the one to tell like other family members someone's dead? Yeah. Like you're the first to know so then you have to tell other. Like that would be horrible. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:59 It's awful. Okay. I'll wait 100 dials at end. This is what we want to know this morning. Text through. 9-6-9-6. No, no. When did you have...
Starting point is 01:10:06 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Great messages coming through. When did you have to deliver some awkward news? Tilly. Tilly, good morning. Tilly, darling. Hello, Tilly, darling. Now, who did you have to deliver awkward news to?
Starting point is 01:10:22 And what happened? A very old family friend's wife. Oh, okay. An old family friend's wife. What did you have to tell her? Well, I was standing outside talking to him outside of a show. off and I said, oh, where is blah-b-bah? And he said, oh, she's just over there.
Starting point is 01:10:39 Oh, here she comes now. We see her coming across the main road and obviously trots to us. And as she comes closer, I'm like, oh, no. Oh, no. And her whole boob was completely out of her top. Oh, no. You've got a free titty.
Starting point is 01:10:53 How did she not feel that it was out? Oh, I had no idea. Callousness. I mean, it was a hot Hogs Bay Day, but. Oh, yeah, right. So as she gets closer, I'm like, oh, I'm, um, um, um, oh you just need to pull your and my husband he was just like
Starting point is 01:11:09 oh god like was his oh god sort of like her tits are always falling out or yeah yeah right he's sick of it this woman and her baps
Starting point is 01:11:21 because it's hard because in your mind I guess you could be like well I'll just leave it and pretend I didn't notice but then when she girls girl yeah when she notices it's out she's gonna be like why didn't tell me I have a whole tit out oh I and crossed the whole main road
Starting point is 01:11:34 She'd been in another pretty big shop. Oh, wait. So it had been out that whole time. You don't think it came out when she was... God, don't tell me she was in a farmer's home store or something. Good Lord. That's a churrying on top. Reddoll special, on it?
Starting point is 01:11:48 Love me red dots. Tilly, thank you. Shire, when did you have to deliver someone the bad news? Hello. I was at my... Well, someone I was seeing passed away. I'm sorry. We went to his house to spend our condolences and his parents and stuff
Starting point is 01:12:08 And turns out he had another girlfriend Oh my God Wait So who had to give you the bad news or did you have to give the other girl the bad news? Well I was, we were planning on going to the ball and stuff together And I was like, oh We were meant to be together as well And yeah, it was a really awkward conversation
Starting point is 01:12:31 Was she mortified? Who was crying harder? I think we were both just in shock. Yeah, right. We lost a little bit of a player, so it was also like kind of expected a little. Yeah, yeah. Not at that point in time.
Starting point is 01:12:45 RIP player. Yeah. Wow. What a weird dynamic. Oh, my God. Then you have to tell this girl that you were also his girl? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:56 RAP player. RIP player. Our player. Shire, thank you. Thank you for sharing. some messages, some wild messages. When we were flating, I had to break the news to our neighbour that his bathroom backed onto our lounge.
Starting point is 01:13:08 And we had to close our curtains, clearly. Otherwise, we would see him pleasuring himself every night through a not-so-private fogged window because he had the light on. The curtains open. The fogged window doesn't work great if the lights are on and it's dark outside. Yeah, then you're just a silhouette. You're a puppet show for the neighbours.
Starting point is 01:13:24 I had to tell my sister-in-law that her husband was cheating on her just before a family dinner and then having to tell my mother-in-law why they had both stormed. off, which included me having to inform my mother-in-law that her son's been sharing photos of his penis in front of all of his siblings as she demanded I explain what was going on. Wow.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Would you wait till after lunch? Sound like she enjoyed it though. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I was at a vet appointment and been going for about 20 minutes. I'd been sitting there talking about my dog's issue and surgery. Just as I was leaving the consult room, the vet, a 60-ish
Starting point is 01:13:57 year-old man said, just so you know, your flies down. And I looked down and I was wearing very tight jeans And when I had been sitting The fly was white open I was wearing very racy red underwear So all I'll say is that guy Professional
Starting point is 01:14:12 Professional, yeah He kept his job He kept his eyes on my eyes During the explanation Yep Sweeting Sweating, down Don't let down, don't let down, tell me down
Starting point is 01:14:20 They're red, they're red, they're red Putting in the dogs's eye drops Yeah Stay on task Oh my God, there's so many We had to ask a flatmate to move out you to smell and zero hygiene. He was a 35-year-old chef-slash-P-T.
Starting point is 01:14:34 We had to make house rules to get him to open bedroom windows, our entire house stunk just from his room. We also had to put a sign above the toilet saying flush the toilet after use and wash your hands. What? Cover raw chicken in the fridge and even do an empty load in the washing machine after he'd used it. He worked out constantly, barely show at all the flatmates had breaking point with a smell. He couldn't even be in a room.
Starting point is 01:14:55 Oh my God, that is like a failure of a human being. Yes. Have you not learned to clean yourself? Like you would get that to pass if they were like 19, right? Because mum maybe didn't do it. You know, but like what the hell sort your life out? Also, if you're going chefing and you stink, don't like infuse the bread with your smell.
Starting point is 01:15:18 I'll have a rosemary olive oil infusion and a loaf of sourdough. I'll take that. I don't want B.O. and foot. Mank foot. And a bit of crotch, hey, because he's working at it. Oh, yeah, sweety crotch. Don't ring me low. but I had to call my bonus child's mother.
Starting point is 01:15:32 That's what some people call being a step mother, a bonus mother, a bonus child. I had to ring my bonus child's mother and tell her she had no, she no longer had care of her daughter and was only allowed supervised visits as the court had ordered my husband and I full care due to her very questionable life choices. Why wasn't the boy her former partner ringing with that news? Or the courts. Men don't always express themselves well. Really?
Starting point is 01:15:56 I wonder if this texter was like this could do with a woman. delivering. Yeah. You know? And maybe that's the promise of, you know, this is awkward, but I'll be taking good care of her and sort your life out. You're a mess. You're a mess.
Starting point is 01:16:10 The courts think so. Yeah. He's with me now because I am not. Okay, well keep your text coming in, 9-6-9-6. So many juicy ones. Deliver some awkward news. I had to ring my dad, who I don't really speak to, tell him that my estranged mom, his ex-wife had died.
Starting point is 01:16:27 It was really awkwardness. His response was it was it just probably would have. have been easier if you weren't born. Sorry? I know he didn't mean it the way it sounds. But that whole thing was just a very, very awkward phone whore. Hang on. You know what it would have been easy?
Starting point is 01:16:41 She was never born. Could have just been a text, I reckon. I reckon it's a text, Dad. Hey, you know, mum's died. Please don't come. I had to tell my friend on her wedding day that her uncle, who was travelling with us, had been admitted to hospital and was dying. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:16:55 On the wedding day? No, I'll do it later. I work in a male-dominated industry, and I had to tell the only other female in our company that she had a very strong female odour. Super awkward. I literally had to Google what to say and what a scientific name was.
Starting point is 01:17:11 Also, what a smelly mentions of a scientific name? Haley, can you ask AI how to deal with a female smelly odour? Okay, I'm going to say. And a male-dominated workplace. That'll be worth the letter of water. I'll say, my friend is a man. he needs to tell a female co-worker.
Starting point is 01:17:31 I'm going to say not me. Because I want Claude now being like, here's how to fix your waft. Yeah, you don't need that on your file. Tell a female co-worker, she has a strong and offensive female odour, and I'm just going to spell it out downstairs. Downstairs, yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:47 Faginal. I'll say faginal. Faginal. How best shall he approach this? Yes. Okay, what should he say? Give me a sentence or two. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:17:56 I'll fill in the script. You carry on the gap with a couple. Smalley food. I had to tell my brother that his girlfriend was pregnant when he was 18 because she thought it was best I told him. And she had told him she was on the pill. She wasn't. And yeah, she was pregnant.
Starting point is 01:18:11 Wow. Double whammy there. Sorry, I've just had to redirect Claude because they're saying, not him. Anyone but him. A male colleague, not him. So I'm just saying it has to be him. He's in HR and there's no other female colleagues.
Starting point is 01:18:24 Yeah. Okay, do you want the script? Yep, yeah. Fletch, you deliver it to Hayley. Who in this scenario made up? Yes. Has a bit of a wafting. Yes, made up. Wait a second.
Starting point is 01:18:35 So hard to believe. You know how sometimes we're in the lift out? Have you guys fake texted into the show? Yeah. You know how sometimes we're in the lift down to the car? Yeah. And we're both of just saying. A poo.
Starting point is 01:18:43 I'm just saying. A poo. No, no, it's somewhere from upstairs. Okay, so it says script. It says script. Here is a script. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:52 Okay. Okay. Hey, um, Hayley. Sorry, have you just got a minute? Maybe somewhere private? Could you just come in here and we'll just have a chat? Okay. I'm not doing it in the Open Plan office then I say.
Starting point is 01:19:00 No, no. That's good. No. I'm from HR. I've just got to be here in case. Okay. Well, look, this is a bit awkward. And look, I'm only saying it because I'd want someone to tell me.
Starting point is 01:19:11 Sorry. What? Are you right? There's a tang in there. Vaughn, sorry. I do apologize. So lately, I've just noticed a strong personal odour. Now, I'm not trying to embarrass you,
Starting point is 01:19:22 but I haven't mentioned it to anybody else. I haven't worn. But sometimes these things have a medical cause, so it might be worth a quick check with a GP. Either way, we can keep this between us. That's all, thanks to hearing me out. Not very personal, AI. Do you think that, yeah, I'm deodorant
Starting point is 01:19:40 because I forgot to put on deodorant this one, and my pits are a bit smelly. No, no, actually just meaning downstairs. It's vaginal. My feet? Yeah. It's your mens job. Ricks.
Starting point is 01:19:50 I'm in H.R. I'm not going to say whatever. I wanted this meeting. I don't think you're like... How quickly you went from the script in which strong person, perhaps a medical issue to be like, it's vaginal.
Starting point is 01:20:02 It's your midge home. We ran out of runway. The script was our runway. We ran out. Yeah. Because I'm really thinking, oh yeah, no, I'm bit of deodorant. I did go to the gym this morning.
Starting point is 01:20:12 No, no, no. It's faginal. It's fage. Yeah. Yeah. That would be so awkward to deliver. I could not do it. I would.
Starting point is 01:20:19 I'd actually just try to work out a way to fire the person. so I didn't have to deal with that. I'd frame them for fraud. Frame them for some horrific, like corporate crime. Yep. And be like, we've got to let you go.
Starting point is 01:20:33 Yeah. We've got to let you go. Yeah. Hey, here you've got some suspicious transactions. We'll have a morning for you. Outside. Yeah, outside. It's winter, but outside.
Starting point is 01:20:45 Didn't know someone's bringing muscles to morning today. Born. Carry on with the text. I had to tell my mum that my dad was cheating on her. Dad found out that his mum had died from someone on Facebook. Even worse, it was that she hadn't died yet. She died a few days later, but the initial shock was quite a lot for dads. People are so bad at delivering bad news.
Starting point is 01:21:06 Oh, my God, Emily said this happened at my work. There was a big note put up in the Starfront that someone's vaginal mouth. Wait, what did the note say? Wait, what did the note say? Emily, can we have a follow up there from Emily? Emily, can we get a photo of that note, please? What did the note say? there is a couple of disorders.
Starting point is 01:21:25 Do you know what though? That's probably the best way to do it because then, I mean, unless, like in this case that was the only female at the workplace. But if there are multiple females, a note could be the best option. We're cleaning. Oh, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:21:37 Hey, everybody. Just the reminder, take your Tupperware home this weekend because we're having a fridge clean out because some extinct in there. Speaking of it's a lot. Hey guys, speaking of cleaning out, someone might need a hot shower and a visit doctor.
Starting point is 01:21:52 Someone's butter conditioning. Okay, okay. Hey guys, we'll just let some pH testing strips. Free to a good home. I use them for my pool, but I mean, the same boat. The Z&P Podcast Network. Play ZM's flesh,
Starting point is 01:22:10 born and Haley. Chil want to know how to increase your chances of finding true love? Chau want to know. Child ready for this is what I was trying to say. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Charles ready to learn how to increase your chances of finding true love. Well, apparently your chances of finding true love according to a probability theory professor.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Oh. It's one in 562. One in 562. Yeah. I don't think I've tried love with 562 people yet. To have landed on the one. Yeah. And then to think if you're going to find true love
Starting point is 01:22:46 and the other person, you're going to be their true love and you're going to be theirs and they're going to be yours. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, do you want to know some real world equivalents of this? Yeah. I've just Googled. One in what did you say? 562.
Starting point is 01:23:00 62. That is the same real world equivalent of being born with extra fingers or toes. Roughly about one in 500. I don't have those. True love could have extra fingers. Opening a double yoke. I just wouldn't, I wouldn't be like put off by that thing. I think extra fingers are extra toes.
Starting point is 01:23:19 I think extra toes would be a bit crowded. Extra fingers, big ass hands with another finger. Would you go as pinky side or an extra thumb? No, I'd have a thumb on the pinky side. If you could add an extra middle finger and just put it between the two, that'll be great. I reckon the grip strength would increase exponentially with another thumb on the other side. So do you think this comes back to our notion that almost with love, why bother? Also, how do you define the one?
Starting point is 01:23:51 The one for now? The relationship therapists would be like, it's not, there is no one. It takes work from both sides. And you create something together. I'll give you an amene. Amene. Amene.
Starting point is 01:24:06 Is a woman who sat on a couch, you know, before. It takes work. So you think the one, because the one is often, as you say, flesh, the one for now. So this, and then they looked into how to open up more Chances. Open up the relationship. You just have a conversation. There's a book. Open up chances of increasing, you're probably admitting somebody compatible. Now, within the compatible, that's not saying that the one, but these are the ways of increasing your availability and your options of finding something compatible.
Starting point is 01:24:34 It's called horoscopes. Yeah. They're not on the list, unfortunately. Afterwork drinks opened up. The average person had opened up a pool of around 75 new people increasing your chance of finding somebody by 16%. You also might get a little bit hotter to people that have had two margaritas. Yeah, but to be fair, my afterwork drinks are just you guys. Yeah, true. Yuck, that's not happening. We're going to have as many afterwork drinks as the three of us won.
Starting point is 01:24:58 No one's shagging each other. No. You know? Online dating increases the number of suitable people you meet by 17%. Yeah, okay. Yeah, that makes sense. The gym could raise your chances of finding a partner up to 14%. I know, but I'm out of my league.
Starting point is 01:25:12 Across the road, yeah. We're talking in Auckland, Les Mill. You're talking to Les Mills. Yeah. I mean, if we go to your gym, absolutely. Oh, sure, the pool's wide open. Yeah. And we're top dogs.
Starting point is 01:25:21 We'll go to a purple anytime fitness and be tens. Excuse you. We've got some real pots on our hands. Purple. Friends of Friends is 4%. And being set up by a family, one percent. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Mom's like, I know someone. They're perfect. Or it's giving big arranged marriage where the one is literally the one because it was the one selected for you. I guess like. people know a gay, no more than one gay person. They're like, oh, I've got someone you're all going to love. Yes. Oh, yeah, because all gay people want to sleep with all gay people.
Starting point is 01:25:52 Gay people don't have any standards apart from. They're also like men. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, my God, I know the perfect person for you. Really? What quality is about him make you think he'd be a good fit for me? Well, he's gay too. And?
Starting point is 01:26:04 Funny, kind, athletic, adventurous. Gay. Yes, all those things. Mm-hmm. Is he handsome? Well, he's gay. Well, he's gay. All those things.
Starting point is 01:26:13 things you mention though, it just increases your chances because you're putting yourself out there. Totally. Like if you're not, then you can't sit there and be like, I'm not meeting anyone, where's Mr or Mrs. Wright? Yeah. Where have you been recently? Exactly. The Z&M Podcast Network.
Starting point is 01:26:28 We want to know now if you've ever lined up for anything. Like a big line. Yeah, the toilet every concert a woman goes to. Okay, yeah, too-shay. Touche. Oh, and unless I go in with Fletch and say, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. all the men at the urinals.
Starting point is 01:26:44 Men in toilets at events are used to. Sorry, sorry, sorry, I'm busting, I'm busting. And there's normally like three or four toilets spare because all the guys are using the urinals. Don't why, I'm not looking at you, Willie. I don't know if you guys know this, frozen yoghets back. Oh, dude, I love frozen yogurt,
Starting point is 01:27:00 but when I moved to Auckland, everyone's shame me, they're like, ooh, Wellington, we've had this for ages. Yeah, because Kiwiyo opened. Ages ago. Ages. Like Mission Bay, and it was all the rage. Yeah, yeah, you squirt on whatever flavor. a yogurt you want and then you chucked some lollies on top and then you pay $384.744 for something.
Starting point is 01:27:18 You've probably got to made it home for three. But that's how they get you because I like all the lollies. I'd just go a little bit of yogurt, lollies, lollies, lollies. So there's two new places and my daughters have informed me of these. Okay. Shibby. Yep. Shibby, am I saying that correct?
Starting point is 01:27:32 Shibby and Yomi. Okay. And that competing frozen yogurt brands. Yeah. Okay. And one of them opened. Yomi opened in Auckland. and there was a line around the block.
Starting point is 01:27:45 Yeah. I'm sorry, I'm not lining up for that. No, I love frozen yoga. And now I'm in the headspace and the day won't end but without me getting one. You know what I mean? When something's locked in your head,
Starting point is 01:27:53 I love the natural flower. Do you know when you travel overseas and especially in big cities I always see it in Melbourne and there are lines around the block just to get into a restaurant or like a place for dinner or breakfast. I'm like, there's no way in hell.
Starting point is 01:28:07 I don't care if that place is... I did. When I was there earlier in the year and I was there for three weeks, and I was staying in Chinatown. And there are so many places in Chinatown where there are, I don't know, like 100 Chinese restaurants
Starting point is 01:28:21 that have so well reviewed, you'd line up round the block and you'd stand there and then they'd come and they'd bring you a menu in the line and you'd write your little thing, you'd hand it to them and had a number. When you get in there, you sit down, your food arrives. Oh, that's pretty good.
Starting point is 01:28:35 That was good. But see, it's the waiting. I hate the waiting. Man, I lined up for the best Sweden-South pork in Melbourne. Was it? the best Sweden Sound Pork? This thing slapped. I can't even... I can't even with that.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Because if there's a few busy restaurants and someone's not busy, you're like... I'll just go to that one. No, no, I'm not going to that one. It's obviously not good. Yeah, I mean, fair. I mean, I love a bad Chinese meal and a great Chinese meal,
Starting point is 01:28:59 but the line does indicate the same of good China. So the other week on Queen Street, the new Noel Leaming's opened a store. Remember, we did a few... Yeah, they did insane. We did a few ads for it and said, you know, go down there doing a big special.
Starting point is 01:29:12 The line went literally all the way to like Britamart. It was insane. I'm sure there would have been iPhone lines for the new 18 one coming in. Back in the day, there used to people line up to be the first. Yeah, so I saw that when the 18 came out. The people were line up to be the first. Well, this is what we want to know this morning. Oh 800, Darsadem, 9-696.
Starting point is 01:29:33 What did you line up for? No judgment if it was something silly. If you want to say la-bubu, you say la-bubu. I love these stories we're getting in about lining. up. People are lying up for frozen yogurt. Ten ages are going crazy for the frozen yoga. They weren't around the first time. I won't. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:50 Call me crazy, but I'd rather gelato. But, okay, anyway. I'll call me crazy, but if I'm getting farty, it's for full cream ice cream. Oh, no, I've got yogurt. When I was in, I had gelato flavor, frozen yogurt.
Starting point is 01:30:04 Like, yogurt. That's nuts. Yum. Well, we want to know what you've lined up for. Abby, what did you line up for, and how long was the line? Uh, yeah, so it was about 10 years ago at least in Amsterdam. Um, I lined up for about five hours, hungover, and the hot sun with no shade for the Anne Frank house. Oh, that's miserable. Um, did you, do they not do ticket?
Starting point is 01:30:32 I can't remember when we did it, Vaughn years ago. It was like anywhere that's super popular. You get a ticket. You still have to line up to get in. We had to line up, but it wasn't that long. I think we were outside for like 20 minutes. I don't. Yeah, we were the idiots who didn't get the ticket.
Starting point is 01:30:44 Oh, so everyone that gets the tickets goes at a certain time, but if you're just there to fill up gaps, if people don't turn up, then you, oh, right, okay. Was it worth it? I mean, she's not in there anymore. To be honest, I went through as fast as I could, so I could get back and sleep. Listen, we've all been a piece of shit on Holiday Abbey, and you're like, I've come this far.
Starting point is 01:31:06 Yeah, and you read the book in high school. Yeah, and you're flowing halfway around the world. You're like, I guess I can line up fine. My vowel is... Yeah, yeah, yeah. But maybe don't have a big night out before going to the Anne Frank House. Yeah, maybe not. That might be the tournament.
Starting point is 01:31:20 No, that's the trick. Thanks, have me some messages. My friends and I lined up outside farmers, and we ran in to get squishies, and they'd already all sold out. Squishy craziness. Huh? You know those little squishy Nito, squishy gel,
Starting point is 01:31:34 like stress ball things, they're all the rage. No. They're tapering off a little bit now. Okay. It was some money sent on. Their popularity would taper off. It would tape it off.
Starting point is 01:31:43 I line up for Pokemon cards. It's a horrible hobby to try to beat all the scalpers in this country. Really? Just insane. It's craziness. Somebody said, I lined up the other day for that Yomi and Takapuna. It's still after it's been open for a little while, the lines are still crazy. I want some, though.
Starting point is 01:32:05 What's that? I really want some. Am I going to line up for yoga? No, you could go before school's out. School holidays goes when they go back. Yeah, then you go. And then I'll go at like 11. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:15 And their suckers are in school. I've done school. I line up every year at Lush and Christchurch for their boxing day sale. Oh, oh my God, your boxing day sales. I line up for Fergburger and it's worth it every time. Okay, do you know the trick for Fergburger? You phone ahead. You phone order and then you don't have to wait in that line.
Starting point is 01:32:33 They answer the phone before they deal with the people on the line. Yeah, it's insane. I've lined up for Ferg. But that's not too bad. It's worth it. They've got a well-oiled machine. They do, yeah. The cheesecake shop opened in Dinsdale and Hamilton,
Starting point is 01:32:42 and their promo was one slice of cheesecake for everybody, and there was just this massive line of all of Dinsdale's bigger scroungers after a line of cheese, after a slice of cheesecake. I lined up for every Harry Potter book launch. They were amazing. They always released at midnight. There was always like a massive line of people.
Starting point is 01:32:58 Wow. Went to E.B. Games for the midnight launch of Call of Duty Black Ops. RIP. That was poor memory now. RIP games. Last thing I lined up for was toilet paper back when we all went home detention. Remember when we were doing that and how embarrassing it is looking back. One metre behind with your trolley and your mask outside.
Starting point is 01:33:17 You know, five in the store depending on the size of supermarket. Yuck. I've lined up for Magic the Gathering Cards pre-release. Wow. That was a midnight line. You're not going to be spending your time having sex, you may as well. No, dude. You save so much time.
Starting point is 01:33:32 A blue-wide white dragon. Wow. You know, you could pull that out of the Magic the Gathering cards. Not a blue-white dragon. Blu. White. You can't talk. Your boyfriend's probably into this.
Starting point is 01:33:42 No, he's not into cards. Oh, is he? Oh, sorry. Yeah. Superheroes and alien theories, okay? No, you're nerd. I lined up for the PlayStation 5. Midnight release was one of the first in the country to get one.
Starting point is 01:33:55 Oh, yeah, that's pretty cool. I mean, PlayStation 5's kind of major, right? You'll have that for years. I lined up for Harry Potter books at Paper Plus and Greymouth when they were released. That was always a midnight. My husband and I were lined up at the Monaco Mall, the CD store, to meet Exhibit and get him to sign a CD. X gone give it. Oh no, that's DMX.
Starting point is 01:34:11 Yeah. Got to the front of the line and chickened out. Didn't meet Exhibit. Didn't get a signed CD. Oh. Exhibit. He could have pimped your ride while they were there. They're just flying all the way to New Zealand to do a show and they're like, hey, we're just
Starting point is 01:34:23 going to get you down to a store to sign some CDs. Yeah. I'm exhibit. I'm exhibit. I pimped people's rides. I actually pimped rides and do hip-hop. I don't need to be in this. What's that screaming?
Starting point is 01:34:33 And you're like, that's Rambo's in next door. Yeah, yeah. Welcome to the Metropolis of Monaco. I slept in a curfet for. Two nights to get Wimbled and Centre Court tickets. Whoa. I line up for four hours to get into the Pokemon Cafe in Japan. I'd do that.
Starting point is 01:34:45 I'd do twice that. No. My husband, sorry, my son lines up for four hours every week for a Pokemon card drop. They open at 8. He gets there at 4 a.m and they all sell out in 20 minutes. Where do they sell these Pokemon cards? Should we start buying these Pokemon? I've been thinking about it.
Starting point is 01:35:01 Investing a bit of money in the Pokemon. I'm thinking of scrapping Kiwi-saver and just going hard on Pokemon. Don't get bored. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. I say, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, taee-hawar, and put it in into Pokemon. I read a study recently that Pokemon cards were a better investment than the stop marketing goal. Do you know what's better than all of them? A Birken handbag?
Starting point is 01:35:19 Those are the ones that were saying Birken's are one of the best. What's been a better investment over the last 30 years, a Birken handbag or a Pokemon card? Okay, well, just tell our Listers now that this is not sound financial advice at all. This is perfectly sound financial advice. I feel like my bank's going to pull my mortgage or something if I keep talking. Catch my live stream on NZ Herald business. Play ZM's Flash for in Haley Well we decided to do a quickie little poll today on the show
Starting point is 01:35:42 Because Shannon's on TikTok A girly pop saying she's walking through the rain Because that's what MythBusters told her to do It's one of the mythbusters that like stuck in your head That and the phone on the forecourt Not exploding the petrol station Mine was what is the best use of your tanks on empty Hooning it to the gas station
Starting point is 01:36:03 Or crawling to the gas station They did a windows down on air conditioning too once Crawling. Crawling. Crawling. It was a great show, but I mean, it has since been disproven.
Starting point is 01:36:13 The MythBusters. The walking or the running through the run. I'll just run because it's less time spent in the rain. I'm not worried about the wetness. If I'm going to be wetter. I just less time in the rain. I would just, yeah, I've always run. And I always got it at this.
Starting point is 01:36:26 But I. Yeah, you do. Oooey, oohie. I always remember that episode of MythBasters and I always remember Jim Hickeke doing a thing on the weather, the news about it. And that stuck with me too because it's like,
Starting point is 01:36:36 Oh, okay, so we walk in the rain now? Because otherwise you're running into it harder? Is that it, and you're getting wet? Yeah, you're getting wetter because you're having more or you're clicking more. So we asked, Quigilittle Pau, do you run or walk through the rain? Surprisingly, 58% of people walk through the rain. Do you think it's because it's all because of Mythbusters? It's really changed dramatically.
Starting point is 01:36:57 It's like how we thought that chewing gum lives in your stomach for seven years. It just lives in you until you die. Yeah. Even though you know that that's not true. Yeah, that's not true. 42% of people run 58% of. center people walk. Moira said so many people trip or fall while running.
Starting point is 01:37:11 It's only water I walk and I make my kids walk too. I lived on the West Coast for five years also so I'm somewhat immune to rain. Oh yeah. Yeah, she's just walking in it. Jordan said, so I know you're supposed to apparently walk but it just doesn't feel right so I'll run through it. Yep. You're going to get wet no matter what, said Anne-Marie.
Starting point is 01:37:28 Can I take this moment just to say I was gifted a blunt umbrella this week? Oh, you were? A beautiful blunt umbrella the latest from him. It's a lovely umbrella And it's got comes a little ninja carrie What do they call that thing? A sheath. A sheath, an umbrella sheath.
Starting point is 01:37:45 It's bloody lovely. So you'll be walking. I'll be walking in the rain, enjoying it, stomping in the puddles. Leash, you said it depends on the situation. If I'm fancy, like, or in footwear suitable to run, I'll run. If it's rain that soaks you in three seconds or I'm wearing less suitable footwear, well, you can't be wetter than wet,
Starting point is 01:38:01 so it's entirely no point trying to stay dry or breaking something by running. I didn't even take it into account the slipping overwork. Well, yeah, more likely to slip. A tiptoes run, I said Nicky, I'll just get up on the tiptoes and do a tiptoe run. Yes, brilliant. Never run in burks or jandals and rain.
Starting point is 01:38:17 I ate shit in Edinburgh, wet cobblestones in Kiwi jandals. I just off. So slippery. Chris said, my knees are bugged and my bladder's not much better, so I'll be walking. Yeah, fair enough. So the original, I've just googled, the original setup for Mythbusters. It was in the very first season. It was episode four in the very first season of Mythbusters.
Starting point is 01:38:39 They are built an indoor 100 foot long controlled rain course, which delivered two to three inches of rain per hour. They had a hundred, so it was 100 foot long, and they concluded that more raindrops hit while running per foot from the front, absorbing five to 13 grams more water than walking. So that's why they were like, myth busted. Yeah. And then later physicists and mathematicians pointed out a floor in their
Starting point is 01:39:05 original test. Oh yeah. With the time versus distance and the real world maths basically said no. How cool would this be? You always get less wet if your goal is to get from point A to B as fast as possible.
Starting point is 01:39:19 Run, run, run. It would be so good. I mean, we've got a cool job, but what a cool job to be someone that like busts myths. Yeah. Or like puts theories to test. It's so good. Yeah. You get wetter. Well, for a quick little poll we said you'll walk or run through the rain. One, well, do
Starting point is 01:39:35 You walk or one foot away? 58% of you walk in. Mm-hmm. Oh, I just, who did your tummy girl? Yeah, that was my tum-tum. That was my tun-tum-tums. Hey guys, I reckon it was the most fun I've ever had on a show. Ah, not for me, Vaughn.
Starting point is 01:39:53 Oh, no, we're even close. No, nowhere even close. You haven't been here long, have you? No, I haven't. Well, if you were listening and you had fun, why don't you give us a little review and a rating? Play ZM's Fletchhorn and Haley.
