You may remember that I was buying my friend a voucher for his birthday. And it was, I bought for the wrong restaurant. Then I thought I'd bought $100 to a candy shop. But turns out there's a cafe in Auckland called Candy Shop

right okay and I was like well I could email them and go through the faffle of trying to get a refund and saying

oh I made a genuine mistake and I did end up buying a correct voucher but I was like you know I'll just sort of chip away at it

like every now and then I've got like a later appointment and I live quite far away so I'll just hang around in town go to the gym are you one of those people that hogs a cafe table for like two hours on a laptop yeah yeah settling like i live here finds one coffee and that's it yeah

that's right and i was like i'll just chip away at this thing well yesterday was one of those days i went to the gym yeah and i didn't need to be somewhere till two o'clock but i had some work i wanted to do so i was like i'm gonna park i'm gonna go to that cafe yeah so as I was walking there I was opening my phone be like better get out this voucher and then part of me just felt called to read the the small print okay can only be used in full when the when the am I gonna use a a hundred dollar voucher on myself like even if you were with Aaron your fiance and you had an eggs, Benny, Saturday morning breakfast. Dude, if we're having $100 breakfasts,

something's wrong. No one's having $100 breakfasts. Tell you what, and then I looked at this and I thought, well, maybe Fletch and I could go. Maybe Fletch Vaughn and I could go when he's feeling better.

And we could have, like, a little show brunch. Yeah. I don't even fucking serve alcohol. It is a brunch though Here's how I'll chip away at this Here's how I'll chip away at this There's lots of places I go for brunch that might do like a mimosa

Or a breakfast martini or something I was like this will certainly get the cost That'll chip away at it yeah No So even if the three of us went There's still going to be change There's still going to be chump There's still going to be change. We might have to do cakes.

We're going to have to do cakes. We're going to have to do cakes. Full meals, we're going to have to do cakes. We're going to have to do teas and coffees. And a takeaway slice. A takeaway slice. I mean, it's just ridiculous. I thought I'd just be able to reinstate me a smaller gift card.

Yeah. Chip away at it. No. Must be used in full. I have to now go to this cafe and spend 100 bucks on eggs. And absolutely gouge yourself on eggs. Eggs. Could you just buy $100 worth of raw eggs?

Because they're so expensive at the moment. I could. I wonder if I could go, like, give me some of the behind-the-scenes stuff. Yeah, like maybe a kg of flour. Some coffee beans. A kg of flour. Some egg, trade eggs. A kg of sugar.

Yeah. All of the ingredients. I've got it all except for bloody alcohol. So, yeah, I guess I'm going to shout us all a breakfast to try to just get rid of this voucher mistake I've made. And we don't, do we have to, wait, do we have to pay you back? Nope. Nope.

This is fantastic. This has worked out in your favour and not mine at all because I was hoping to have four solo dates to chip away at this.
