For a few years in the 1970s, the Mr. Asia syndicate made millions.
Heroin creates its own market. It acts like a form of plague.
Until jealousy, betrayal and murder brought it all crashing down.
Clark would have threatened him. Go and kill him. If you don't, I'm going to kill you and your wife and your son.

Welcome to a Little Bit of Pod. And a weird hotel checkout yesterday for me, because we
stayed at different hotels. We did.
And I won't say the name of the hotel, because we love at different hotels we did uh and i won't say the
name of the hotel because we we love this hotel uh we love the people there but it was it was an
odd checkout it was it was early what time did you pick me like eight eight seven thirty yeah
it was it was early there were two people at reception yeah um working there and a few people
checking out a few people ahead of me um this one guy was checking out a few people and
the other guy was at the computer screen tap tap tap tap tap so i walked up to him because he's free
and the other guy is already checking out people and he you know tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap
looking at the screen doesn't acknowledge me he's working on his novel finally he looks up at me and
he's like oh i'm sorry. My colleague can help you.
And I'm like, well, he must be doing something quite.
What the fuck are you doing?
Like, what are you doing on your computer?
Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.
Anyway, so I'm waiting.
And a few minutes goes by.
It must be a bit of a rigmarole checking out these other people.
And then this guy that was tap, tap, just kind of, just stands there, kind of moves his stapler.
Help me!
Moves his thing.
I hate this.
And then I look at him and he sees me looking at him and he's like,
and tap, tap, tap, tap.
Yep, yep.
He was fucking bullshitting.
He was bullshitting.
He wasn't doing anything.
He was bullshitting.
He doesn't know how to check you out.
He doesn't fucking know how. Or he just can't doing anything he doesn't know how to check you out he doesn't fucking know how or he just can't be fucked he didn't want to check me out he didn't want to do anything motherfucker and like he was doing nothing and like he was rearranging his
pens his stapler oh moving a pile of cards and then sees me and pretended to be busy and you
know what oh no i recognize this behavior because it's something I would do.
Oh, yeah, me too.
I don't want to deal with him.
I don't want to deal with him.
I don't want to deal with him.
I'm not on checkouts today.
Yeah, I don't want to check people.
Like, literally, it's your job.
You're there to check people out.
I was like, you cheeky fucker.
Show me the look you gave him when you were looking at him.
Oh, yeah, just like, excuse you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, just like, I saw what you just did there.
Can you just?
I had to wait for the other guy. And then in the meantime, someone pushes in front of me with the other guy so i have to wait
even longer i'm looking at this guy tap tap tap i'm like you mother i think you could write a
email oh no like i mean i appreciate it's something i would do like yeah we've got
nothing but respect for the brother i think i'd be better at it yeah I kind of had
yeah exactly
I would be better at it
I need to be better at it
like I'd just open up
a document and start typing
yeah me too
and I'd start looking down
up and down
up and down
what's under the desk
yeah yeah yeah
give it a look under the desk
and then a quick like
quick dart to the back office
yes yes yes
gotta be something back there
pretend to walk down
some stairs behind the desk
pretend I'm in a canoe
yeah yeah yeah take the elevator down to the basement
Gotta get on my canoe
Very cheeky, very cheeky move from this man
How long
Do you think it put you out?
Like how long?
No, I pulled up and he was ready to go
Couple of minutes
He doesn't have much to complain about in his life
No he doesn't
So when something arises
It's good to let him vent.
Could you hit the minibar?
No, and that's the thing.
I just sort of
down a key drop.
Then all that happened,
the guy was like,
hello,
and I just put the thing
on the desk and said,
see ya.
Yeah.
I should have just done
that in the first place.
I would have done
the old key drop.
Sometimes I like to just
leave the key in the room,
close the door behind me.
Oh no, I never do that.
I like to do that too.
I never do that.
I like to do that.
If I haven't had anything
from the minibar or whatever.
And also, you've taken a,
my hotel,
and I won't say again,
took a $300 bond.
Oh, they love taking a bond.
I find it weird
when they take a bond
for a hotel
and there's not a minibar.
Yeah.
And the TV's from 2001.
Yeah.
What am I taking?
The iron's got like
crusty black stains on it.
Yeah.
How much jizz do you think I'm going to put on these sheets?
Yeah, man.
What do you think I'm stealing from you?
Like, honestly.
$300?
It's a wild amount.
And you think if they're full and they've got hundreds of rooms,
how much cash they're just sitting on.
It's stunning me, man.
You go to some hotels and they just charge a dollar just to hold your credit.
It's bizarre.
There's no...
It's all over the show. Yeah, exactly.
I know.
Anyway, how good's a hotel stay?
That was a natural out. You missed it. Oh, fuck off I go.
Listen.
I stretched into the natural out. If anyone wants to just
press rewind 15 seconds, you just sort of hear that.
There you go.
Just a stretch back into the natural out. Sorry, I missed it.
Should we find another one? Oh my god!
Hayley, that was another natural out. Sorry, I missed it. Should we find another one? Oh my God! That was another one!
That was another natural out!
Shit!
Okay.
Goodbye.
