Starting point is 00:00:00 From the Zedium Podcast Network, it's Fletchhorn and Haley's Little Bit of Pod. Welcome to a little bit of pod. Now, that's what I'm about to tell you happened to me once, and I said this was really weird. And then it's happened to me again since it happened recently when we were driving to Hamilton for FVH Life. What happened? So I'll tell you the first story first. I pulled out of my driveway. You guys know where I live.
Starting point is 00:00:24 I know it well. I know. I don't know the address. But I mean, people will look it out. But he pulled out of my driveway, went right, went left, went left, went And I was turning left. There was a car that I had to wait for. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:33 And it went and I got him behind it. Now, you wouldn't, I was driving to my girlfriend's house. Now, she lives 29 kilometres away from me. She lives in a central Auckland suburb. I live in a West Auckland, you know, rural, semi-rural part. Meg city life. She literally, that woman, I was, I was behind her the entire way to Amy's house. Oh, it's so weird when you're like, how are we on the exact same weird journey?
Starting point is 00:00:55 Yeah, where have you been and where are you going? Literally like, I'd be like, nah, she would turn it. The first few times I was like, that's weird. And then I looked at the car and had a personalised plate, and I was thinking about the plate. And I kept seeing it on the motorway. I passed her. She passed me.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Yeah. Then I get off. Both obviously fucking slow drivers. Oh, dude. I'm a beast in the ranger now. I'm a beast in the range now. Are you? Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:16 I bet you guys to the airport. Remember we had a race to the airport the other day? Yeah, but you were only a beast because you felt threatened by me. Well, you were driving. You were a woman driving a Mercedes. I haven't driven that aggressively at a long time. It was actually fun. It made me feel alive.
Starting point is 00:01:30 They were even to laugh. We got that. And then I pull off the motorway. She pulls up right beside me. Yeah. And then we both turn the same way and I get stuck by some traffic. Have you clocked eyes at this point? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Oh yeah. Being like... And she, because she was quite recognisable. She had like a shaved head. And she kept looking at me and I kept looking at her. And I'm like, I almost was like, at one stage I was like, I'm not following you. Yeah, yeah. No threat.
Starting point is 00:01:50 No threat here. No threat here. Yeah. And then when I was turning into the last street before Amy's house, she kept going straight. And I was just like, I almost want a follow her now Where's she going?
Starting point is 00:02:01 Yeah What drew her along the same lines It was like you know when you go on holiday To a different country And you just see the same Not even in the same resort You don't even have to be staying in the same resort You're on a plane with someone and you see them
Starting point is 00:02:13 You clock them and then you see them at the airport And then you go somewhere and you see them out for dinner We're in Paris this place is huge How are you near me? How would keep doing this? It was this whole way So it happened and I was like that was so weird Then
Starting point is 00:02:24 The other day when we were driving from When we flew back from Wellington and I went and picked Amy up from her place to take her to the Hamilton Live show I started following the guy when we left her. We literally drove all the way to Hamilton together. He was a Ute with this attachment on the back that a mower sat on. So when we first started a phone, I was like, that's an interesting attachment.
Starting point is 00:02:47 So it became like we talked about the attachment. He had a personalised plate. Again, it's always easy to remember them when they've got the personalized plates. And I was like, oh, he wouldn't be going. And then on the motorway, The whole way. Did he stop at the coffee? Did he stop at the off-ram?
Starting point is 00:03:02 We always stop at the little McDonald's and the... We didn't get some nuggets. Oh, okay. No, stop. We stopped. Yeah, we're going right with him the entire way. It's so weird. It's always moments like this.
Starting point is 00:03:15 I remember doing this when I lived in Wellington, I was driving around the Basin Reserve, and I remember driving past someone and I looked, and I was like, there's a woman. And then driving a little bit further along and being like, there's that woman again. But it was in a complete... So different content.
Starting point is 00:03:27 I mean we've been like Truman Show. They've run out of fucking cars. They've run out of ideas. They're recycling the cars. So they just start sending people, the same people your way. Same guy that he's just like going the same route. So the Truman Show can't afford as many cars on the road. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:44 So we know where he's going, just kind of stay around him. Do you think it feels like there's other cars on the road? Yes, yeah. There's no other cars anywhere in the world. There's less cast. Is it a glitch though in the... Could be a glitreation. Totally it is.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Yeah. They're like, fuck you. We'll put you on. the same trajectory and it's too obvious and oh no he's clocked it they're listening now they're listening now they're like he've clocked it twice
Starting point is 00:04:06 someone up there wherever is getting fired for this fuck up on your behalf yeah like in the hunger games they made a mistake and so they've got to go if it happens again it's confirmed it's assimilation assimilation they won't even let me say the word now
Starting point is 00:04:19 stop end of podcast
