Starting point is 00:00:32 It's Fletch Vaughan and Hayley's Little Bit of Pod Welcome to A Little Bit of Pod and producer Carl and son that thing airlines do. It's just expecting you to start a TV series halfway through. Season 3.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Here's season 3, episode 4. Episode 4 to 6. Okay, but am I like Jetstar or am I like Air New Zealand? They all do it, don't they? They do all do it. You're Aer Lingus. You're Aer Lingus.
Starting point is 00:01:03 They just expect you, these airlines, to have seen the previous seasons i know i hate that yeah so why are you doing this what have you um jumped into okay stranger things which is essential to watch from the start look i won't say that i like just was like i'm just gonna start at the second to last episode of last season um but it was on and i sat down and you know what i ask a few questions while oh my god oh my god this is your rich european boyfriend is straight up gonna go back to rich europe if you ask questions about a show you've never watched and he's literally at the end of season 4, 40-odd episodes into a show. Look, it's actually pretty cute.
Starting point is 00:01:48 So he's doing a rewatch at the moment because him and his mate are, like, big fans. Like, they watched it together when it first came out, and now they're planning to do a little sleepover weekend to watch it because when it comes out, I don't know, apparently the episode's going to be, like, over an hour long each, and, like, they're like, we're going to need, like, a whole weekend to watch this.
Starting point is 00:02:03 Yeah. Isn't that cute? It's a good game, isn't it? Hey, he's like, no, that's not cute. If that's what he wants to do, good for him. Sure, yeah, why not? I get, like, because back in our day,
Starting point is 00:02:17 the TV would just be on and you couldn't choose what to watch and when. Unless you'd mice-guided. That was even later. That was posh. Yeah, only the rich. But you would sometimes sit down and be like,
Starting point is 00:02:31 oh, what's this? And kind of get into something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or long-running things like Shorten Street. You'd take a couple of years off. But it was even weird. Like TV shows when I was a kid, you didn't really get them out at video stores.
Starting point is 00:02:42 If you really loved a TV show, you couldn't go and get the first season. It was because that would have all been on tapes. Yeah, and you would have needed one tape per episode. Whereas DVDs, the box set kind of thing. You get a season, eh? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:54 At the end you did, but yeah, when I was a kid, if you didn't see it on TV, you just didn't see it. Yeah. And if you missed an episode and hadn't recorded it on your VHS. You're tough, you're tough out of luck. So, Cowan, when you're watching this, are there any moments that you're like,
Starting point is 00:03:06 huh? And you realise you've missed key information? Well, I was like, okay, so that one's gay, right?
Starting point is 00:03:12 And he was like, nah, that one is. And I was like, oh, okay. And then I said, oh,
Starting point is 00:03:16 that's the one that cheated on Lily Allen. And he said, what? I love that character. Is the actor a piece of shit? Did he cheat on, did David Hart cheat on Lily Allen?
Starting point is 00:03:22 She like, found out that he was on, um, Raya. They were married, so it was their marriage done. Yeah, the actor a piece of shit did he cheat on david she like found out that he was on um right yeah yeah they were married so it was their marriage done yeah she basically that's ballsy a like you're a big celebrity yeah you're just like i'm just gonna go cheat on my high profile wife i think he was doing it quite incognito but basically what she did is she went on raya herself signed up as if she were a male and then cross-referenced all the girls that came up for her to who he was following on instagram and he was following them all oh my god that's like
Starting point is 00:03:49 jesus christ jesus detective lily ellen yeah david harbour he yeah he's in it but so i like was like oh what are they going to hunt oh my god oh my god jesus christ i know the end of last episode the vekna storyline was well established. I was like, there's Joe. I love that guy's song. Joe Carey. Oh God. Yeah, he's on the other side.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I'm embarrassed for you. He's on the upside down. Now, I'm just here for the David Harbour and Lily Allen drama now. It was something, wasn't it? What goss? I'm not going to blame you. Scandal Cow and I. Goodness me.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Her podcast is great. Has she talked about it on her podcast? Oh, I thought so, but maybe not. That episode would get a few downloads, wouldn't it? People love, like, look at how Hayley's involved now. Yeah. We've lost her. Hello, we're recording a podcast.
Starting point is 00:04:34 She registered for the exclusive site, which only accepts 8% of applicants. Oh, no, you're on Raina. Raya. Raya. I'm on Rain Radar. No, you need a reference to get at it. My favorite app's Rain Radar. I can see where the rain's coming.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Well, I'm on Raya. You're on Rain Radar. I hope my wife doesn't find out I'm on Rain Radar. I know, you need a reference to get at it. My favorite app's Rain Radar. I can see where the rain's coming. Well, I'm on Raya. You're on Rain Radar. I hope my wife doesn't find out I'm on Rain Radar. Wow. Oh, there's a front coming in. So are you going to stick with the show? I'm just going to start again. Nah.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I think you need to start again. Don't get too deep. You've got to stop. I can see how it would be interesting. I've recently got into fantasy books, so maybe this is for me. But, oh, I don't know. It seems like a lot of fantasy books. So maybe this is for me, but, oh, I don't know. It seems like a lot of effort and they're all very young kids.
Starting point is 00:05:09 And sometimes I feel a bit weird, like, oh, I can't relate to you. You're so tiny and you have no idea what's going to happen to you. Imagine what it's like for us coming to work every day with an office full of Gen Z's. Exactly like you watching Stranger Things. Oh, they're a bunch of kids.
Starting point is 00:05:20 I don't know if I can get behind them. I don't want to cheer them on. I don't want them to do well because, you know, it'll make me feel bad. I've got no idea the amount of pain they're about to... Yeah.
