It sort of annoyed me because a lot of my podcasts took a break as well over Christmas. And so when I'd go on to go new episodes of all my podcasts, it was just us the whole time. Excuse me. I don't listen. It's garbage. It's garbage. Every time I listen, I'm always like, oh, garbage. Gosh, she thinks she's so funny.

That kind of says, shut up. Shut up, bitch. A lot did, and it ruins your routine, right. Yeah. Gosh, you think she's so funny. That kind of says, shut up. Yeah. Shut up, bitch. Yeah, little bitch. A lot did, and it ruins your routine, right? Yeah. Like, yeah, you're just like, where are they? Yeah, it's Friday. Where's my podcast? My podcast all did the bit.

They prerecorded all the bits. Really? There's like no real difference. Okay, well, there's a lot of lazy podcasters out there. Not us. Not us. 365. We're going to do 366 this year Because it's a leap year

Because this is something That happened to a friend And I thought We won't have names. I don't believe so. Did this happen to a friend or did this happen to a friend? This happened to me and a friend. Okay, okay, okay.

So this was when I was saying, so one of my friends, I said, I'm going to be in the lovely Aruba. Aruba, Jamaica. Ooh, I said, I'm going to be in Aruba, the lovely Aruba. Aruba, Jamaica. Ooh, I want to take you to Bahangam. I always thought it was in Jamaica. I thought it was like a town in Jamaica. But the song is just Jamaica is after Aruba.

And Aruba is this beautiful island. You thought it was saying like like, Auckland, New Zealand, like it was saying city and country. Yes, yes. Oh, no, I never thought that. But I look at it on a map. It's only on a fine day, and it wasn't fine enough to see, but you can see Venezuela.

It's right above, like, you can see oil rigs off the shore. Wow, amazing. And it's so close. I want to go to Venezuela one day so bad because obviously- You were so close. It's got to be a beautiful country it's between colombia and brazil um but yeah so i was uh i was there for like a few days i booked everything and i said to one of my friends i said oh well if you want to come i've got the accommodation uh you just get flights and join it'll be fun great so he he came

he booked and i met him uh there on the day that i arrived and I had COVID. I'd got COVID the day before because I'd been feeling a bit sick. And I said, oh, look, I've got COVID. So we had dinner. He landed. We had dinner, had like one or two drinks. And I said, look, I've got COVID. I'm quite tired. I'm going to go to sleep.

And so he's like, yeah, sweet. I'll just head out and I'll see you in the morning. And so we sang in the same room. And I woke up at about, I think it was 1230. The phone was ringing and it was one of those like, you know, those like 2000s desk phones with a big orange light,

you know, in the hotels have the big orange light. Yeah. Yeah. Cause I was, I always have these weird dreams when I have COVID. Yes. Feverish dreams.

Really vivid. Yeah. Like the first night there was just water coming. It was like a Stephen King kind of, there was like water that was flowing down the wall and it was so vivid. Oh, that's terrifying. I know, and I couldn't stop it and it was bizarre. And I was having these, like,

and then the phone was ringing and I was like, ring, ring, ring. It's a dream. And I answered the phone and I'm like, hello? And the person on the phone was like, this is real. Yeah. It's like, Mr. Fletcher. And I said, yes.

Tis I. And it's 12.30 in the morning because I looked at my watch. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? Is this in Aruba? This is in Aruba at the hotel. And I'm like. God, do you think, is your first thought, they're calling to let me know my mother's died or something? I'm like, well, who's calling me?

And not on your cell phone. no no on the desk in the hotel mr fletcher i'm like yes and they're like is your friend staying with you oh no you say his name and i'm like no i'm like yes and they're like mr fletcher your friend cannot be walking around the hotel naked. And I'm like, what? And I'm like half asleep. It's like, your friend cannot be walking around the hotel resort naked. And I'm like, of course not. What are you talking about?

I'm not condoning this. I'm asleep. I'm asleep. What are you talking about? And he's like, well, bringing your friend up to the room. And I'm like,

like I went to bed about 1030 and it's now 1230. I'm like, what the fuck is happening? I'm like, i went to bed about 10 30 and it's now 12 30 i'm like what the fuck is happening i'm like now i'm wide awake i open the door and i hear the elevator go ding and walked around the corner was my friend wearing a towel and a top probably provided to him by the and uh the security guy walks him like just about to the room and then he leaves and my friend is there and I'm like, what the fuck is happening? And he just starts talking absolute like, like he's possessed, like gibberish. And I'm just. Lou Lally.

Like Lou Lally. But not like drunk. So fucking weird. And I'm like, where are your clothes? And he can't give me an answer. He's just like, there's some people. i'm just like oh my god what the hell is this so fucking awake now i'm just like i'm like okay get in your bed like uh and i stay awake for a little bit he goes to the toilet bombs in the toilet and i'm like oh my god and he gets up he go he gets in bed he goes to

sleep and i'm like i stay awake for a little bit because i'm just like so awake now what the fuck has happened yeah wake up in the morning and i get up and i'm like okay i can't see his any of his like his shoes his pants the towel was extra so they gave him the towel he wakes up and i'm like so he was long out and so we don't know we don't know so i'm like dude what the fuck happened last he's like i have no recollection spike drink he said i had one or two drinks and i do not remember and so this is a hotel where every time you get a drink or a meal you sign your room name i went down to reception i got the i said can i have my updated account he had got two drinks and yes someone had spiked him oh yeah because i mean i've done that before being like why i don't know what happened i only had a couple of drinks you're like

hayley had 10 you see if it was you and they were like hayley's coming up naked to the hotel room we just go to sleep and maybe no questions in the morning. But like I had left my friend, we're practically sober. And he was like, I don't ever get like that. He can handle his booze. I've drunk with him before. And I was just like, what the fuck? And so, yeah, he went down and his phone was at like with the manager and reception had his phone.

Oh, thank God. And then doesn't know where his shoes are. Never got his shoes or his pants back. Luckily, he still had shoes and pants. And he was like, well, to the manager, I was like, what? Like, can you show me the cameras? He's like, no, we can't show you the cameras. I can call the police and we can make it a thing.

He's like, that's quite an accusation to make. My friend was like, yeah, well, like I had two drinks. So fucked. But could you imagine like waking up and it's like, your friend cannot be walking around the house. So apparently he like tried to go up with clothes to the wrong floor. Right. And that's when they found him.

Yeah. And then he came down and wasn't wearing clothes. And so that's when they gave him a towel. So he wasn't walking around the entire. Right. Like maybe he's trying to get in somewhere or try to go to the bathroom somewhere. Yeah.

And then started getting ready for bed and then. Taking off his pants. I've been drinks like before. Have you? Yeah. And that is an apt description. One minute you're fine, and the next minute you're like, I remember saying to Sade, you've got to get me out of here. Yeah.

I'm going down. That's the thing. He would have been like by himself, and someone's obviously just like. Yep. Popped it in. That is so funny. Who spiked your drink did you find out yeah they were trying to get Sade

there were these drinks and she was like I can't have another one I said oh I'll have it and then drank it and literally yeah just said it and you just wake up in the morning your throat just feels like it's cold and chemicals well I don't know what the drinks are fucking with these days but that's going back sometime we do not remember

a fucking thing. Because we were trying to Google what they could have used, because it wasn't like he was, like, you could tell he wasn't drunk, but he was just so out of it, but wasn't, like, sleepy. Just incoherent. Yeah. It was so bizarre. I'm sure it's got a similar thing to the drug they give you

when you've got the colonoscopy. Propofol. The spaghetti drug. Yeah, and you just come to, and you're like, like wow no time has passed yeah yeah exactly you feel like you literally like blinked and and all of a sudden you're naked walking around oh my god could you imagine answering the phone and it's like your friend cannot be walking overseas that's just worse i know thank god you were there and that you hadn't been drinking and you were sort of in a better. Oh, my God.

I know. Hot. Like, messed up, eh? That is. Oh, my God. Terrible. I mean, funny. The imagery.

Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like. Thank God he's all right. And he has his phone. God, that'd be a nightmare when you're traveling. No phone.

He got that back, but the pants and the shoes. Good shoes. Were they good shoes? Fancy shoes Yeah good shoes Bugger it Bugger I want those pants though
