Starting point is 00:00:14 I've got to say The food in New Plymouth It's hiding some delicious restaurants and cafes and bars Far out man Even when you were having lunch with your whanau We went out for a little thing and I had some
Starting point is 00:00:26 delicious fish tacos. I love a taco. Fish tacos are great. Yeah. I don't have any time for hard shell tacos. Any other taco, get in me.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Throw the fuck up, eh? Soft shell, the traditional taco. Do you think Mexicans are embarrassed when they see white people with hard shell tacos?
Starting point is 00:00:43 Absolutely. Yes, they are. Especially when they're filled with mints. Old El Paso. The mints are filled to the side. Yeah. Haven't played in art shows? And an ounce of respect for yourself.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Yeah, and some respect for yourself. Yeah, great food in New Plymouth. The Social Kitchen, you guys raved about it. The Social Kitchen is amazing. It's amazing. Starting point is 00:01:09 It's yum. I didn't actually do that. That's when I was working. And I actually ate no dinner that night. And no one brought me any food. But we had arranged marriage. I'm lucky you're over it. Yeah, I'm so over it.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Still hungry. We had arranged marriage, which is like a beautiful Indian restaurant. It's number one on TripAdvisor in New Plymouth. Yeah. It's delicious. We've beenvisor in New Plymouth. Yeah. It's delicious. We've been in there. But it's not just Indian, it's South Asian as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:31 So all kinds of, oh, it's just incredible. Bit of a mix. Man, the service was amazing. Yeah. Oh, it was great. And anyway, we were all ordering, and we had made a little comment that we, you know, don't order a bloody mild butter chicken. Because I normally do that, but not this time.
Starting point is 00:01:46 No. Not this time. Okay. So you actually went for a chilli chicken. I went for a chilli chicken, which is... Spicy, yum, delicious. Really good. I couldn't even finish it.
Starting point is 00:01:55 It was just so huge. I know. Well, I mean, I only had like three mouthfuls of my curry because we got those massive platters to start. And I'm such a tiny little thing. Just such a tiny little petite thing. Yeah, such a tiny little thing. Just such a tiny little petite thing. Such a tiny little thing. Compared to what?
Starting point is 00:02:09 Compared to what? Yeah, I just feel like, again, this is a second time today. I've actually given you an opportunity to talk about how sort of me can... You're slipping away. See, if I turn to the side, where's she gone? Well, I don't know who said it.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Because I can't see you. I took my glasses off and you're so. There's a ghost. Yeah. Anyway, do you know what? I got, I, because our big hearted James, he was with us this weekend. He just went for it. No shame.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Mild butter chicken. Yeah. Mild butter chicken, man. And do you know what? And then with the table burst into a round of roasting In front of the waitress as well Who sat with her eyeballs Was doing a mild roast as well And then I changed my order
Starting point is 00:02:51 Because I was like I was so in the mood for a butter chicken I was going to do it And I got butter chicken shamed And then I ordered a I went incredibly Ethnic and spicy And I got a lamb korma Really left field I went incredibly ethnic and spicy and I got a korma, lamb korma.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Really left field. I just went, oh man, I went straight in. That is a pail of butter chicken. It was, but it was delish. But yeah, I got butter chicken shamed. And you know what? I just, I sort of want to just say to people listening, don't let people butter chicken shame you.
Starting point is 00:03:22 It's okay to have a butter chicken. Because I had a little spoonful of James' butter chicken And I regret not getting it The corn was great but It is always a winner It's always a winner You never eat it and go ooh yuck And the only reason I chose a different dish
Starting point is 00:03:33 Is because the last time we all went as a group We did kind of like a banquet Yeah And so we got to try different things Yeah and it really opened up our Paki our brains It did yeah it did To some delicious Indian spices. So we all kind of ordered a little bit out of the box.
Starting point is 00:03:48 I tell you what, there was a, yeah, that hotel room toilet the next day. Oh, yeah, love that. That was not pretty. I felt holier than thou, because I was fine. Right. And you and Big Hearted James were sharing a room as platonic friends and, you know, got to know each other very well, cranking windows. And then I was like, I'm absolutely fine.
Starting point is 00:04:05 And then just before I went on stage, I was like, fuck, now? Really, now? This is when it's going to come out? A day later. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like the next night. Wow. You know, I've got that long colon.
Starting point is 00:04:15 It takes a while to... She's got a hung colon. I've got a hung colon. It took a while to come down. Yeah. But yeah, man, shout out to Indian food. Delicious. And just, if you ever go to an Indian restaurant
Starting point is 00:04:24 and you want a butter chicken, and hey, you need that mild. You do it. You do it. I would have gone for the duck masala. Yep. Yeah. Looking at that, looking at this menu now.
Starting point is 00:04:35 And we would have all looked at it and gone, oh my God, that looks good. Yeah. Oh, we'll go back next time and we'll get something different. Next time. Eating. Eating. Eating. Eating.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Eating. Food. Food. Food. Food. Food.
