For a few years in the 1970s, the Mr. Asia syndicate made millions.
Heroin creates its own market. It acts like a form of plague.
Until jealousy, betrayal and murder brought it all crashing down.
Clark would have threatened him. Go and kill him. If you don't, I'm going to kill you and your wife and your son.

Welcome to
A Little Bit of Pod. I don't like when you
We should all just chime in
It's the last one
Before we leave
Yeah
And I think that you've just been
You've been at the helm too long
You've been hogging it
Next year I think we do a hot desk
Move
Where we change who says welcome to A Little Bit of Pod
We change seats and change buttons and everything
No, no, no, the whole thing
I don't know about that
Now today was our last big pod for the year
Our last live show
Tomorrow we start rolling out an episode a day Now, today was our last big pod for the year, our last live show.
Tomorrow, we start rolling out an episode a day of our Christmas cocktail special,
which we recorded a couple of weeks ago, which was a lot of fun.
In moderation.
Yeah, it wasn't as boozy as I would say we did really well.
Not as boozy as the last two, but still a lot of fun.
A lot of fun.
A lot of fun, and still probably, as the episodes go on, not for little ears.
A lot of sidebars.
A lot of tangents.
Some digression.
Yeah.
But yeah, and then we will be back with the big pod and the live show on the 20th of January.
Not what I've heard, but... Oh, here we go.
Keep dreaming.
Start this again.
Keep dreaming.
But I thought maybe for the last little bit of pod for the year.
A reflection of sorts.
Yeah, like what was your, do you have a best moment, a worst moment?
Well, I sort of feel like as someone who has been here for three years now,
I guess we just make sure that I get to meet Jason more at least once a year. Well, that's happened, hasn't it?
Well, not in the first year, but yes, I met him the second year
and then we met him again this year.
That was good fun having him in.
So just if you could meet him again next year?
Well, yeah, I'll just put that in my contract.
So you're on a roll sort of thing, don't you?
Yeah, yeah.
It's just a nice way for us to touch base every year, I guess.
Yeah, okay.
Right.
Highlights for me, going to Hawke's Bay for Judy Drench.
We really-
That was fun, wasn't it?
That was a lot of fun.
Yeah, it was fun. So you haven't done a lot of fun. Yeah, it was fun.
We haven't done a lot of travelling.
No, we haven't.
But it is hard to sort of separate the true friendship moments we've had
with the on-air friendship.
Because they're one and the same, and I think you can really hear that.
We had a lot of great off-air...
I just went into my phone photos because I can't remember what happened this year.
No.
And one of the things that suggested me is this album called Carl and Two Others others and the other two are us but that's the name of the show next year
actually carl and two others our live show i forgot about our live shows this year we went
to some weddings together that was this year yeah it was both of them yeah two of them we went to
some weddings this year yeah we did that was fun that's a true friendship moment rather than an
honor yeah you can hear it i think you can hear it as well.
I think it's genuine friendship that you can really hear.
I want to have an album that says Hayley and two others
and it be you guys.
No, mine's Carl and two others.
Peoples and pets under the...
Oh my God, Queenstown.
Vaughn iPhones are insane.
They recognise my nephew.
I must have like two photos of him on my entire phone
and it's like, this is him.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
One of my favorite moments
uh was when we went to queenstown we went to a really nice restaurant and at some point um vaughn
put his finger in my mouth and i sucked it and then two days later we thought i had covered but
i didn't yeah that was that was that was a fun trip that was really fun on the boats queenstown
was fun actually there down to kadrona yeah that was a good time it's been a great year we've had
lots of nice messages in from people Lots of um
You know
Good callers
Well thank you for listening
You're a huge contribution to this show
Yeah
And then um
With the Spotify rap
It said heaps of our listeners this year
Are new listeners
But our numbers haven't gone up that much
So where the fuck did the old ones go?
Oh they're dead
Did they all die?
Yeah this is what happened
Should we call them
Motherfuckers
No well no they're just They're gone Are they all die Yeah this is what Happened Should we call them Motherfuckers No well no
They're just
They're gone
Are they gone
They're not forgotten
No
They're a little bit forgotten
I can't remember
A single one of them
Straight up forgotten
So gone and
Or forgotten
Gone
Yeah
And both gone and
And forgotten
Yeah but well thank you
For your support this year
And for listening
Wherever you are in the world
Yeah the Spotify rap thing
Just blows your mind
Where so many
Different countries
Yeah it's crazy Oh I know It's crazy Always come and say hello Yes You know what I mean you are in the world. The Spotify rap thing just blows your mind where so many different countries.
Yeah, it's crazy. Oh, I know.
It's crazy.
Always come and say hello.
Yes.
That's the rule.
If you're in New Zealand
and you're like,
I'm in Auckland,
but I feel embarrassed
to ask them.
Don't be embarrassed.
Come on in.
Come along.
Come on in.
I mean, we'll certainly
shuffle you out the door
if you overstay,
like if you're here
for like eight hours.
Yeah, you don't have to read it.
We're not here for eight hours.
That's impossible.
When we leave,
you probably have to leave as well.
Yeah.
Because you're our guests
and you just kind of
can't hang it around.
Well, Merry Christmas
to those that celebrate.
Yeah.
Have a happy new year.
The Christmas cocktail special
starts tomorrow.
Yeah.
Enjoy.
Slurp it up.
Huh?
