Starting point is 00:00:00 From the ZDEM Podcast Network, it's Fletchhorn and Haley's Little Bit of Pod. Welcome to A Little Bit of Pod. You may know if you're a long-time listener of the show that once upon a time, we were staying at a dock hut and there was a cast iron pan, and I had a pan, I took a pan in. And I was like, I'm going to leave behind my pan and take this cast iron pan. My friend Johnny hiked it out, therefore knew, because it was heavy, became known as the Johnny Nippet, Department of Conservation Memorial Pan. And I love this pan.
Starting point is 00:00:29 It's a cast iron pan with a wooden handle. You can take the handle off if it needs to go in the oven. It's beautiful. And then one day I was in a secondhand store in Lee. You're probably familiar with it. I love Lee sawmill. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a second hand store up north.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Northland, technically. Is that Northland? North of Auckland. Rorodney is it? Aparodny. If she is up. Worthy, Matakarnery, Lee. I found exactly the same pan.
Starting point is 00:00:54 And so I purchased it and I got it all season. I gave it to Johnny. And I was like, now we've both got a pan. And then the other lads in the group were just like, this is pretty cool. Then guess what? I found a third pan. So I got that pan. And then I found a four-a-pan is this.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Did they make a- This is a thing? There's no brand on it. I've done some research. But it's the same one. Exactly the same pan. I mean, back in the day, same screw in the end that you have to under to take off the wooden handle. Right. Back in the day, they only made like four things of anything.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Yeah. But they made thousands of them. Well, I'm happy to report. All five of us have pans. Wow. The problem is one. One of us lives in Guernsey, which is... An island?
Starting point is 00:01:32 An island between England and France. And last time I sent him something... He doesn't listen to the podcast. Why does he live here? Because he lived in England and then got an opportunity to work there, and it's kind of like this little tax haven he sitch. Is that? With super rich people.
Starting point is 00:01:45 What are you? So if you've got a job that you don't pay tax? You don't pay... No, you pay 5% tax. Yeah. And you still have access to like the NHS and stuff. NHI? NHS.
Starting point is 00:01:57 They're part of the house system. National health and business. They don't have as much. They can send you back to line with the stuff. So it's a flat 20% personal income tax and a 0% corporate tax rate. Yeah. So that's where we should start our business. That's how he pays next to no tax.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Yes. With my British, can I live there with my British passport? Yes, sir. I'm going to go living in go. The Nazis. Got a bit of Nazi stuff. I'm only going to get married still so I can come. Haley's really big on marrying me for this passport.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Which, by the way, it's probably going to be worth less when they decouple the UK. Yeah. It might also be your monster dick. Because of course you're not going to sleep with anyone until you're married. So Haley's like, I'll marry him just to... Probably wife. Cop of gawk at this monster cock. Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 00:02:38 You don't have to do anything to me with it, but I'll just have a little lucky. There's Nazi stuff. Really? Because the Nazis got it during World War II. So there's some Nazis. It's awfully close to the Motherland? Well, that's what they want to do this. My God.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Bloody Nazis. So what are you going to do if you find another one of his pants? You're going to keep collecting them as a group? Well, that's what I don't know. Because I do have this weird... I want to say no to a pan. Okay. No.
Starting point is 00:03:00 I'm not in the group. You know in the group? Oh wow. I could get a different pan and we could all get, because I've got these other ones. No, I don't want to put your pan group. I've got the same pan but bigger because I bought a couple of extra ones without checking the size and they're a bit bigger. Right. So we could do the bigger pants.
Starting point is 00:03:14 How much have you spent on all of these? No, next to nothing. Really? Because cast iron people, it's not easy to look. Well, it is once you know how to do it. Mine out. Yeah. But people freak out and because if you've got to oil them and season them and that are great pans, they'll last forever.
Starting point is 00:03:27 But then to get a little of rust. on it and people freak out and throw them away. Oil a pan. You do, season it. How bizarre. I had one for a while. It was a pain and then I left it in my boot for a bit and it got rusted through and through and I know you can fix them and I was like, too hard.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I prefer me old fashion, but I just prefer my non-stick teflon pan with the forever chemicals. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Slowly eating away at my inside. Oh yeah. Same. Lovely little bit of something cancer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Yeah. Delicious. I've used the wrong implement on my nonstick pan. Now it's releasing all the cancer chemicals. Would I rather be able to clean these? Stir fry an egg off this fry pan and literally point five of a second. Yeah, with a cloth. Do I want to suffer cancer in my 60s?
Starting point is 00:04:13 I'm about living in the now. Yeah. The now the dishes are done. Yeah.
