Welcome to A Little Bit of Pod.
And something I witnessed at a gym class the other day.
You weren't there, Hayley.
I haven't been for a month.
But you're saying you're going this week.
I'm currently wearing gym gear.
I like this.
I like that you've come to work in gym gear
so that when you get in your car to go
home... I'm comfy.
That's what I like. I like a comfy.
You have to drive
to the gym. This is a perfect napping
outfit as well. It's soft and
movable. It's called athleisure.
You could do some leisurely lying about.
No athleisure the other day at the
gym from a couple.
They were, I'm assuming, husband and wife because they had matching red singlets on.
How old?
Roundabout, ballpark, fearless.
Maybe your age?
Oh, oh my God.
When you said this, I thought like 60s, 70s. No, no, no, no, no.
I would say your age or maybe even a bit younger.
The matching red singlets. Early 20s.
Husband and wife. You got me.
Husband and wife.
This is what they said on the singlet.
It had like a dumbbell
kind of like picture and then
it said husband
and wife
lifting partners for life.
Oh, so it rhymes. That's
nice, isn't it?
Yeah, but were they trying to be funny or
like an ironic? No, they're
Christians.
That's the only
explanation.
They got married young and now
they've got to wear clothes that let everybody know
they're married. Yeah.
When I pictured, you know when you see those like elderly people in there.
Like cruise ship.
At a festival or a cruise ship and it's like, I'm with stupid.
And then his one says.
That's good stuff.
I'm stupid.
You know?
Yeah.
I'm like, that's so sweet.
I could imagine Vaughn wanting to do that later in life.
Mickey, the Disney cruise we went on.
Yeah.
Full blown.
And it's a Disneyland thing.
Wait.
You go dress as your. We missed the memo when we went with our family.
What, you dress as a family?
And you get like shirts made that say like, um, Smith family Disney trip.
2023.
Yeah.
Oh no, no thank you.
And it's all like the same shirt.
Oh.
And you can get them made at Disneyland, but no one does that because that costs a fuck.
Oh, do you think I should?
Is this the podcast?
Yeah.
Do you think?
Because I haven't said this, but I'm going to Italy
and I'm surprising my dad.
Do you think I should turn up and I should get my mum
to wear a T-shirt and then we wear a T-shirt being like,
surprise dad.
That could be a fun little thing just get it just get three of
them get everybody in the same tea just to let everybody know you're you're a trio see my mom
wanted to do this for all of our 21sts the family all wore a matching like hawaiian shirt or something
now we poo-pooed it at the time oh it would be a good memory now 100 because you do this with
the high viz for your dad yeah because my dad famously loves his high-vis.
So if we're doing something
for dad, when he
picked us up at the airport in LA because he took us all
to Disneyland, we wore the
high-vis. And then when we all surprised
him at the day he sold his herd,
we all wore high-vis.
So it's totally, it's a thing
now that I'm older, but when I was 21 I was like,
no way, man, we're not wearing any wearing orange shirts, but now I'm all about it.
But the gym, was it a special gym day?
Well, that's what I was going to say.
Holidays aside and cruise ship elderly couples aside, do you do this matching?
Like, is it cute?
Is it disgustingly cute?
Sade hates it when we leave the house and we're accidentally matching, like black t-shirt,
blue jeans.
She'll be like, oh my God, we're matching. Go and t-shirt blue jeans she'll be like oh my god we're matching go and change something yes yeah yeah i would i could never imagine a world
in which aaron would do this i mean i don't want to poo poo that it's cute i guess i think you
would for a special occasion as like a gag yeah but he wouldn't do it earnestly see i'd do it if
it was a gag so what about this couple what if they didn't used to go to the gym together
and then there was a bit of a situation where maybe he was,
or she was, texting somebody else in the gym
a little bit flirty with the gym.
I think that's what's happened here.
You know, these people have these gym friends.
Oh, right, and now it's like a sign as if to say,
this is my list.
A marking.
No, it's a marking.
It's got big that energy.
Really?
It's got big.
She used to go to City Fitty.
And he used to go to Les Mills.
Yeah. And then she realised that to City Fitty, and he used to go to Les Mills. Yeah.
And then she realized that the City Fitty tends-
Les Mills 4.
Les Mills 4.
And she was like, wait, who are you looking at at Les Mills?
Yes.
Put the singlet on, we're going to get her.
Sort of a branding of sorts.
It is a branding.
It's right up there with the-
I'm paying way more per week to know that you're not looking.
It's right up there with a joint Facebook account, isn't it?
Or Instagram account.
Yeah.
A couple's Instagram.
Yeah.
Feels like it.
Or it's just really cute, guys.
Do you think it's cute?
I don't know.
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
There's more to this one.
