Starting point is 00:00:00 For a few years in the 1970s, the Mr. Asia syndicate made millions. Heroin creates its own market. It acts like a form of plague. Until jealousy, betrayal and murder brought it all crashing down. Clark would have threatened him. Go and kill him. If you don't, I'm going to kill you and your wife and your son. Starting point is 00:00:39 Do you know, I was leaving- Oh, yuck! What? That was the worst In a millennial pause Was a millennial throat Yeah that was a Have you seen that
Starting point is 00:00:48 The collation of the person Who went through All those woman's videos But like you think They've edited something together And you realise they're not They're just flicking Through her reels
Starting point is 00:00:55 And she starts Everyone off Oh And then starts talking Anyway Apologies to our Podcast listeners For that inhale Yeah we actually Do apologise And then starts talking Anyway Apologies to our podcast listeners For that inhale
Starting point is 00:01:07 Yeah we actually do apologise Sincerely A little behind the scenes Usually we record the podcast after the show Yeah We're recording this before the show It's 5.43 in the morning We all sound a little bit tired
Starting point is 00:01:18 A little bit A little bit of a sexy husk Yeah a little bit There's a little bit of a husk That would explain your throat situation. Yeah. We're just starting. We're just starting.
Starting point is 00:01:29 So I was leaving work and getting onto the motorway, and it was, granted it was drizzling, but this is a very casual right turn. Very casual. Would you call it a sweeping bend? A gentle bend. Sweeping indicates if you go into it a bit fast, you could, whoa. Yeah, sweeping's not about really taking you.
Starting point is 00:01:49 A gentle bend. A gentle bend in the motorway. Gentle bend. To the right. Who doesn't love a gentle bend, am I right? A little bit of a bend. Just a little bit. A little bit of a bend.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Gentlemen, in the right direction. So, usually up. To the right. I just prefer really straight. You prefer straight. Yeah, right, right. A straight long road prefer a straight long road Nice straight long road
Starting point is 00:02:06 Smooth straight asphalt Gentleman So this car I just kind of noticed When I said this like Woof of Earth Yeah
Starting point is 00:02:15 Thrust Skyward Wow And then I'm like What the fuck is happening I was about to say That was so poetic Until you said
Starting point is 00:02:23 What the fuck is happening Yeah Earth thrust us on Up upward the side of the earth thrust skyward what the fuck and a car has she's come around gentle bend yeah i don't know on her phone or what it wasn't wet enough the tires might have been bald and just boom into the barrier arm and it spun her around across two lanes and she kind of ended her spin point in the direction she was still going so she just kept going what wait now all these other cars yeah she three she bashed off the thing and went might have been two actually to get that far across yeah she went across two lanes and that's got a big, fat, wide shoulder.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Yeah. I mean, if you're familiar, for our Auckland listeners, from central Auckland going out west onto 16 through Spaghetti Junction, there's that big, weird... How did she not take any other cars out? A miracle. How far away from her were you? A little way back. There would have been, like, two cars between me and what happened.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Right. And she went across two lanes. Jeez, that could have been so bad. She would have been Like two cars Between me and what happened Right And she went across Two lanes Jeez That could have been so bad She could have taken out Two cars Yeah
Starting point is 00:03:29 She could have taken out Any number of cars Because if she crashed Into them And then the people Behind them Had crashed into them Yeah
Starting point is 00:03:35 Also if that's happening To you I'm pulling over And I'm having a breath So she stops She spins to And stops But she's facing
Starting point is 00:03:43 The way she was going Yeah Still heading out west and i'm just like whoa and the other cars have stopped and you just see this pause this momentary pause and then she's just like yeah fuck it i'm pointing them all right well i might as well go and just goes and i i sent video to you guys right of the front of the car video but it was too good because at any minute i was like this wheel's gonna fall off here's the guy that was like she's probably on her phone she's probably unbelievable behavior on her phone i put it on one zoom and i just hold the phone in the general direction and keep
Starting point is 00:04:13 driving because then i can crop it later if it's going to be a viral sensation yeah so i had a passenger that was holding the phone monetize it when you put it up monetize it get a bit of coin from this of course of course i'm, this wheel's going to come off. There's going to be all sorts of calamity. She's back up to 80K, which is the speed and design. The wheel's wobbling. Yeah, the front bumper was crumpled. And then, yeah, when I get up alongside it, she just looks like, ah, what the fuck are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:04:38 And the front bumper's, like, hanging, not quite dragging, but definitely, like, on its way. Those little pins that hold it on, there's only a couple of those. It's on its, not quite dragging, but definitely like- On its way. Those little pins that hold it on. There's only a couple of those. It's on its way to dragging. I feel like if that was me, you'd be like, oh, I'm pointing the right way. Go. Get off the motorway.
Starting point is 00:04:53 I'd pull off or get home and then just be like, okay, how bad is it? And then I'd park my car on the side of the road and then the next morning I'd call my insurance company and say, someone's bloody crashed into my car on the- Well, no, you wouldn't do that because that's insurance fraud.'s right we don't condone crime here i don't condone at all you've been covered for your act on the motorway but then not stopping i suppose you didn't hit anybody no you didn't do anything right you could just say i spun out i had a clump of earth yeah i'd always i'd always blame an animal running across the road yeah no but you're not you're supposed to just barrel through them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:26 But it could have been a child. What about a child running across the motorway? Then there's a whole investigation. What families let their child run out on the Western Motorway of Auckland? Yeah. They're going to be looking. They're going to go to camera footage. They're going to see that you're lying.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Oh, yeah. And now they're going to go, what's happening here? Those motorways are very CCTV. They're very CCTV. Okay. So probably best to tell the truth there happening here? Those motorways are very CCTV'd. They're very CCTV'd. Okay. So, probably best to tell the truth there. Also, probably best to just get off your phone when you're driving. There was a woman who overtook me, I'd say at like 120 kilometres an hour.
Starting point is 00:05:54 And I was sort of like, I just always look. I always have a little look to see who has the gall. To see if they're hot, too. And to see if they're hot. Yeah. And she was just head down. I was like, at 120. She was overtaking you.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Yeah, and I'm speeding. Oh, yeah, you're probably 110. We don't call them that anymore. Oh, puppy. It's just a speedy mouse in a costume hat. With a large, wide-brimmed hat. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Gosh.
Starting point is 00:06:21 And it's different than an old white guy doing the voice screaming, Arriba, arriba, ondale, ondale. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, wow. That definitely not an old white guy doing the voice screaming, Arriba, arriba, ondale, ondale. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, wow. That's terrifying. I know, I hear a dying. Yeah, be safe out there. Be safe out there, guys.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Have you ever played the game where you're driving, as you're pulling up alongside the car, who's driving this car? What are you looking for? Gender race and age.
