We talked recently to John Campbell, who was, if you don't know him, fantastic broadcaster here in New Zealand, who, journalists, broadcaster everything, who was telling us about Uber's. And I've adopted his thing. I've started tipping.

Yes. I've been doing $3 tips. Because they don't get a lot of the fare. They get all of the tips. And there was just a court case ruled the other week. That two of the employees who said they need to be treated like employees and not contractors, and they won. Yeah, they did. It was upheld, yeah.

Anyway, so I love getting an Uber's, but now I tip, so that's not sure that I'm doing my piece. And I got in an Uber that I have, the likes of which I've never been in before, the fanciest Uber I've been in was like five years ago and it was a Tesla. Before everyone had Tesla. Yeah, I was in a Tesla once. It's amazing. And it was like the roof was off. He was like, do you want to see how fast I can get to 50? And I was like, sure.

I mean, I'm not going to fuck you, but sure. It's real fast, like, it was fast. And I was like, woo-hoo. Also, I would have somebody got me to zero to 50 in, like, under a second, I'd fuck them. I'd fuck him. Yeah, no, but it took a two seconds. That sounds like a challenge. Do you want to take you home in the Ranger today?

So, zero to 50, what's zero to a hundred? How fast does it go? How fast does a Tesla go? I don't know. Tesla zero to 50 kilometers per hour, because usually it's the 100. everybody's like oh it's the 100 the Tesla's zero to 50 time varies by muzzle model

less than two seconds for the high performance versions for example the model S player can reach 60 miles an hour and two seconds oh okay geez no that's miles that's miles okay that's miles wait so I might have to fuck someone yeah you might have to fuck someone

yeah you might have to fuck someone the model S player gets approximately 2.1 seconds from zero to 100 so half that yeah you're looking at about a second it is insane isn't it you're gonna have to fuck someone okay well this is this

wasn't a Tesla this one because they're kind of like much more common now you get in Teslas all the time this guy pulls up he is an Alexis oh yeah and I don't mean an old one like nice oh like kind of sporty

low roof is this giving a retired dad that the wife needs him out of the house because he's nailed nailed it oh really I've had this before white guys in his 60s and I get in the back and I'm with a friend

we get in the back and I was like nice car i was like how you going here's like mate i'm having fun like and it was big go fucking do something we we got picked up after a concert once by a guy in like a really flash brand new bmw same vibe yeah yeah old mate doesn't need the money just wants to chat yeah yeah wants to chat and you can imagine beautiful day at the mount oh yeah well we're surf it's my boys and off he went like full that's so cool it was really fun we had such a good chat with him chucked him a three a tip and um three dollars is I know

rich guy yeah I don't know well they offer one three five and then they go like plus I hit in the mid I'm not doing one what was the total fair though

was fuck all oh okay so that's pretty good if it was only like six seven bucks oh you know I was just going from one end of the amount to the other oh yeah six seven oh sorry I've been conditioned

I've been conditioned every time I hear someone say six seven six seven in. Anyway, so the other thing I found interesting about this guy was I get in and I look on his fancy car dashboard thing. I think I sent you guys a photo over there and he was listening to like heavy metal. Oh, okay. He was listening to Deftones, I believe it was. Well, that's an extra $3, surely. For playing my music of choice. Yes. Deftones coming to New Zealand next year. Yeah, totally. But I just love that this.

this old mate was like listening to quite like, but quite like, you know, well-respected metal and he wasn't listening to just the hits. He was in the depths of the album. Yes, but I'll play some deaf tones in the background. I'm not plugged in. Sorry, Hon. Excuse me for a moment. Oh, there you go, hon.

Please be plugged in at all times. But that's what we, I was talking to my mates about going to the deaf tones concert. And some of their oldest songs are very old now. So if he was 60 and they came out 30 years ago, he would have been like in his 30s or late 20s when it came out. I guess because he was like my dad's age. My dad's like Neil Young, the Rolling Stones. Like what kids are going to say about me when I pick them up in my Uber when I'm 60 and I'm listening to Pink.

Yeah. And they'll be like... They'll be like... Yeah, they'll love this. Bloody good day. Bloody good day, isn't it on the street? White Pony, that Deaf Tones album, I missed their natural album because I think it bears repeating.

It came out 25 years ago. It did it. It came out in June 2000. And they had albums before that. Yeah, they're old. Around the Fur was 1997. Adrenaline was 1995, so that's now a 30-year-old album. You're getting into Danger Territory, seeing bands that are that old.

I know. So what did I see at the festival this year, Iggy Pop? And it was the saddest coming to New Zealand. Yeah, the saddest thing I've ever seen in my life. He looks, I mean, respect to him. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, Iggy Pop and Joan Jett are playing in Auckland. Saw that.

Buying that, that ticket to that. That's a lottery. Yeah, but if you see that, The Stones playing and all that, Mick Jagger. I mean, he's prancing around, running around. That's a lottery, too. Yeah, a heart attack waiting to happen.
