From the ZDEM Podcast Network, it's Fletchhorn and Haley's Little Bit of Pod. Welcome to A Little Bit of Pod. Now for 23, maybe even closer to 24 of the last 26 years, I've lived in Auckland. Tamaki Makato, Akoto. Macoto. Close. Close. Oh, close white guy.

Yeah. Gave it for 26 years and gave it a red hot go. Yeah, you didn't say Auckland. Auckland. Timaki Mikiri. Tamaki Macauro. So, in all that time, I've cast an eye on Rangatootau. I love it.

Every time I see it, I scream its name. Rangitoto! Rangitoto! It's the island just off the harbour in Auckland City. It's a dormant volcano that will one day reignite itself and cause billions of dollars, chaos and, you know, destroy it an entire city. It's the one they reckon is going to blow next, right? Yeah, but it'll be a vent associated to it. It'll be like in the ocean when it goes off, but it'll be on the same way.

So it'll just be like a ferry it takes out. That'll be the start. Also, if it does, like, this vent goes up and it bubbles up some, like, I don't know, some kind of new island. If I'm first to that island, can I plant a flag in its mind? You'll be hot though. You're going to claim this island. I'm actually quite keen. Everybody would be fleeing on the motorways.

My plan is to stay around with a mask. I've got some left over from COVID. That will be all it takes. That's it. And I will get there first, and then I will have a kind of. and I don't know if it'll be part of the land or if it'll be an island. Yeah.

I'd take a bucket of water just to throw water ahead of where you want to walk because it will be lover. And we are like a, you know, like a fireproof suit in case. In case. It'll be too hot in that. I'd probably just be sure.

She's got his COVID mask. In a bucket and some freaks. It's just an idea. And get a new. Yeah. Well, funny enough, went to the museum recently as well, too. Have you been in the volcano earthquake house?

Yes. It's a great. It's a great. It's a museum highlight. And it pops up. Yeah. Yeah. And like your new island would be on the shore.

It's a bit of a shame really. Be better if it was sort of like... Well, I've got a new island. I'll have a boat. Oh, are you going to have a boat? I can have a boat. He's sort of everything. This week we've kind of agreed that white people buying islands

we're sort of not into it or let alone claiming them when people are running for their lives. But you do you boo? I'll visit the island if you've obtained it. Oh, of course you will. You know, once I come back. Yeah. So the Rangatoto has always been out there

and I've always looked at it for 26 years. I finally climbed the fucking thing. So how you get over a little. on a ferry? You take the ferry, yep, you get off it, like, and that's the other thing. There used to be a whole lot of stuff out there. People used to live there full time.

There's a few batches and stuff remaining and have a look in. You can't like build new batches there. The ones that are there have to stay and, you know, you can maintain the ones that are there but you can't build a new one. So there are some of them are on Airbnb or book a batch. You can go out and stay there.

Dr. Shorty went to one. He did, yeah. Yeah. Oh, really? It was weird he couldn't solve the crossword puzzle again though. It was like four letter words, starting with B, C, H of the last two. You only had to pick one letter.

And the clue was, seaside house. Please stop. He gets really upset when you say things about him. He sent me a crossword. Slight deviation from Clowangangato. He sent me a crossword. He's like, can't solve this last one.

Need your help. Steak meal D space A space E. I was like, steak Diane. Never heard of Diane. It's an 80s steak. Oh, okay. A 80s steak. Well, you could have a gray.

But it's like, steak, well, you could have a gray. but it's like got a great like a basic gravy sort of a poured over it. Okay. Don't try to make a fucking fancy. Solving a crossword puzzle for him. But he stayed on, he stayed at a place over there. Yeah.

And you finally climbed it. And it was awesome. Yeah, it's a great little day trip. No. Have you done it? Easy. So easy. It took 45 minutes.

Oh. And I wasn't streaming. Yeah, it's nice. And you get to the top and there's the old World War II installations. And you can have a look a bit of the crater. I just climbed a mountain. I don't want to be thinking about World War II. One of the worst ones.

World War I was worse than World War II No, I know, but there was only two If we're talking about World Wars I'm looking forward to three I think the sequel's gonna have I mean looking forward to it You know the third run Like back to the future three

Great, great addition to a Yeah Shrek 3 also good Shrek 3 was really good Yeah I mean Return of the King Arguably the best of the Lord of the Rings trilogy I'm not arguing with you

Extended addition You wouldn't argue with me on that one So World War III might be great And we've already got the installations Up there And it's not that hard to carry stuff up Did you take a photo? Was it like Mount

Mount I didn't share it It's crazy When you climb a mountain man And you take a photo at the top You have to put it online I don't know I've been really struggling with what photos

To put online lately Is it because you don't want a hard launch anything I think it's also because you calm down That But I'm also just like why would it It was my birthdown I've got all these like lovely photos with my daughters And like a photo with mum and dad

And a cake And I was just kind of like cool I like that but what is any I don't know It was a really weird little I'm just going on his Instagram to have a look, have a little review. I think it's Christmas,

Christmas Eve was the last time I posted it. Nice. Because people demanded Ian's Santa say. Oh yeah, yeah. They love that. But why don't you do a post then? They're struggling to post. Yeah, right.

I will say my absolute Nungers, number four on your grid. Is that the Bali trip? The Bali one. Okay, so I made the thumbnail. Haley made this video of our trip to Bali and made the thumbnail her nungers, which is really fucking my grid.

Whapping nunas, eh? Haley's whopping nungers are on my grid. And you know, Curation is very important. I know, and especially with your grid, like, people go there and be confused. Like, the fucking these whopping delicious nungers doing on your page. You go to your travel grid. Can you, yeah, my, it's ruining my travel grid.

Can you change the thumbnail? It's too late. It's fourth on yours. You can't change the thumbnail once in time. These nuggers are to be celebrated. They're not going to be here forever. No. No.

I love the real, so I'll never hide it, but I might have to post more to push your nungas down the grid. A little bit down. Don't you push the nungers down. You push them. You raise them up. Wow, that's another, this guy, this white guy is trying to push the Nungas down. Not me. As a white man, I'm always looking to lift the Nungas up.
