I got myself a gold card. Now, for those that don't know, Orra may be overseas listeners, when you turn 65 in New Zealand... You get a gold or a super gold or something like that.

Super Inuitants get it, yeah. And it gives you the free public transport off-peak. I will do a quick Google of New Zealand gold card perks because it sounds to me like we've got to get some perks coming out of life. Sounds like we've got to cut those back is what we've got to do. Well, my parents live with me right. So their mail comes to my address, but they're overseas at the moment. And I open my mailbox and I felt a card.

And I was like, that might be important. Could be a replacement bank card or something for my dad, address to Craig, Robert Sprow. And I open it. And it's his gold card because it's his birthday. What was his birthday this week? So he just turned 65. And, yeah, so he gets his gold card.

And it arrived, and I opened it. And on the front, it doesn't, like, say his name. It's on the back, and it's quite small and kind of caught up in the graphic design of the card. So I was like, I'm going to start flashing this thing around. Well, you've obviously got to be, you don't look 65. That's what I was waiting for. Can you say I'm here to do this, like, for Dad? Like, for example, you can go,

offers a periodically available, this is just from a quick Google, offers a periodically available for groceries and retail, 5% off on Tuesdays at selected Woolworths. Oh, you could do your shop at willies. Give my 65 card. Yeah, a 20% off at Burger King. What?

I'm going to get a bloody BK chicken with cheese. Free, enjoy free travel on local buses, trains and ferries during off-peak hours. that varies by region to region. But you love off-peak. But you need to get your dad or do your shopping when they're home back with you on two, if there's supermarket deals. He's with me.

Yeah. He does his thing. Yeah, and you just pay. And I go up and as if he's so decrepit. I'm like, here's your card, dad. But my car, because it's my groceries. Exactly. Oh, sorry.

You know, he's older now. And when your parents are out of town, just grab an old person. Yeah, it's yank an old person off the street. Yank one, you know. Yeah, come on, no, no. Yeah. So I'm just, I'm just like, I've slipped this thing in my wallet, and I'm just going to try my luck at places.

Because aren't there some places that'll do a cheap beer? You flesh your gold coin, maybe a Razor or something like that? Maybe, yeah. You can get an $85 rate, um, rates rebate. This guy doesn't even pay rates anymore. I pay the rates. I wonder if the rates have to be under his name. Put them in his name.

I'll put the house under his name. It'll be mine anyway. Yeah. Oh, God. It's life. It's something to look forward to. You're telling me, these old people have bled our country dry. They've paid no capital gains on their $25,000 houses.

They sold for $3 million. And now they're getting all this shit. Perks. This car won't be around by the time we're 65. That's 30 years away for me, basically. Same. 25% off the total price of 100. Sorry, he's just trying to claim that we're the same age.

There is a decade. There is actually currently 11 years. I like that because I've had my birthday recently. you're really pointing it out. A decade plus, like, eight months. Do you remember when people thought, our friend James and I went to school together? Oh my God.

I've never forgotten that and never let him forget that. He's like 12, 13 years younger than you? So good. What other perks? What have I got morning? King's plant barn. 10% off everything you need. A full price items every Wednesday.

Thank you. But you've got to be over 65. Well, no, you just have to have the card and sort of, I've put on the performance of a lifetime. Yeah. And I can get away with. I reckon it was one of those Mondays, Tuesdays where you had a really. really busy week the week before and you tell us you're going to have a relaxing weekend and then go out both nights?

Yeah. I reckon you could probably get away with it that day. That Monday, eh? Yeah.
