Guys, I beat a call centre virtual assistant.
What? You beat them?
I beat them.
I won.
What was the competition?
I even smarter than an AI assistant.
No, I was actually, no, I was a real person.
So I was following up a booking that I made for accommodation on a large global hotel
booking website. I reckon I figured out which one it is. Well there's several it
could be it could be many and they're taking... You're a pussy, say it. It was one of those
it was one of those... well they advertise Haley so no. Come on pussy. They um it was one of those
ones where it's like, pay at the accommodation.
Cause you know, sometimes when you pay for your hotel
or apartment or whatever, it'll be like,
do you want to pay at the accommodation when you get there?
Pay now.
Or do you want to pay now?
Pay a couple days before.
I was like, okay, well I'm going to pay at the accommodation
cause it's not till, you know, the end of the year.
Yeah.
Oh yeah, yeah I do that too.
And then I can get the money, it can be like there.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then I sent it, my. Yeah, I can get the money. It can be like there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then I sent it my my credit card.
Some money had come out for roughly this amount
for this place that I'd bought.
And I was like, you said pay at the property
at the end of the year.
I could have been getting, you know, the measly two percent interest on that.
I could be interest on a couple of hundred.
I could have been accruing single dollars.
Cents on cents on cents.
From now until the end of the year.
But I needed to know that it was that accommodation payment that came out, not a fortunate one.
So I get on this website and you speak to a human eventually after an AI chat bot asks
you some questions and I'm just like,
Does the ground work?
Speak to an agent.
I love that. How can I help you? Speak to human.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Human, now. And so they give me a human and it says,
Thing, thing, is in the chat.

Thing, thing, whatever their name is, I can't remember.
And so I'm like, hey, I'm just wondering if this payment is for this accommodation.
And they give me like a copy and paste.
I imagine in their call center,
they have a copy and paste thing, document,
and they just copy it, paste it in.
Oh, and they're not giving you a personalized experience,

Not giving me an answer.
And then I'm like, but why have you charged me now?
Because they were like, oh, you have to speak to the provider and I'm like, oh you are the provider but apparently they're not
And so they're like you're gonna have to speak to that person
I'm like, but you said you I can pay at the end of the year when I'm there and then I get another copy and
Paste from the same answer before yeah, and then you know cuz it takes five seconds to arrive
And then I keep asking but just out of of interest, I was like, why now?
When you're saying-

Why wouldn't you say pay now?
Yeah.
And that's the only option.
And I could have paid now.
And I could have just paid now.
But you gave me the fucking option.
And then he left the chat.
He left the chat.
He can't leave the chat.
Can't handle it, get out of the kitchen.
I called him out on a copy and paste.
I said, stop copy and pasting me the answer.
I know I actually quite like it. It didn't feel like going Karen because it was like in a chat window.
Yeah yeah yeah totally. You know what I mean? I have no respect for this robot. Yeah yeah it almost felt like they are a robot.
