Hi, I'm all. It's such a weird thing to think about. When I started high school, I didn't clock the, even thought about my parents, that they would even be remotely interested or moved by the notion. I don't think my parents were. Yeah, right. It wasn't on, I don't know if it was on their radar. Parents aren't soft like they are today.

Yeah, they weren't. They just got on with the job. They were working bloody 18 hours a day. No, my parents were pretty soft. They were pretty emotional. My mum and dad have always been cryers and very proud parents. Have they? Yeah.

I used to do piano comps and mum would cry. I wouldn't say that about mine. Yeah, no, no. It's 30 years almost to the day since I started high school. Help. I did the maths on it. Santa's back. When I do,, he turns away.

And they put you On these tables And you had to do A task or something They just put you With random strangers. One of the, two of the girls at that table are two of my lifelong friends.

And just because we got rammed at that table and Maria, we had to draw something. Maria was like, I'm really good at drawing this. I'll do that. And I was like, great. You were like, get it, Maria. Get it, Maria. And she's one of my best friends of all time.

Yeah. It's so crazy to think that she's going to be making those friendships now. She's got like three or four girls she went to with the last year of like primary slash intermediate

because it was an all-in-one school that are going with her but yeah like when I went from primary school to intermediate everybody that I went

to primary school with went to the same intermediate small town yeah same when we went to college everybody that I was at intermediate with was there for college

very few people a couple of people went to Hamilton schools From Morrinsville But most people I never had that Huge Shift

the high school goths and they were in sixth form and I remember being 13 and I saw them Benny or something and I saw them walking down the hall and I was like

what is that and it converted me I was 13 was it a cool factor or was there an attraction to the goths no no no not like that

I was just like that that is so cool. Like that's, they look amazing. Yeah. I can't believe your private, your posh private school had Goths. Yeah, man, they had three. I thought they would have legislated their makeup and everything out of it. Nah, you got around it. You got around it.

It was always so weird when someone died. So I had a good friend at Intermediate who died of leukaemia. Oh. That was wild, too. Because you think, like like what would he be doing yeah what would he be up to I think they just

I mean the two main goths Zsa Zsa and the B-Girl it's so annoying me Zsa Zsa and the B-Girl and the B-Girl just a great name for a band they both are still goth that much I know

none of the goths that were goths or emo's at my school continued much past. Yeah, yeah. That was, mum, this isn't just a phase. That was honest for them. This is my life now.

Because they're still super alternative. They came through in a very goth, a goth heavy era. Yes. Like anything after that. Yes. They kind of missed that real primary goth moment.
