So I've been teaching her to drive every time we get to the end of the driveway in one of our cars, I say, I hop out, open our gate because it's still broken, and I say, you drive up the driveway. She's like, okay. Oh, okay. It's an automatic. I mean, you can't mess that up, can you? You could absolutely slam on the accelerator and fly through the garage.

There's a few things that could go wrong. Now, did you tell her about Auntie Shannon and her automatics? No. Didn't know about the extra pedal? Doesn't know what they were, yeah. Doesn't know what they were. Because weren't you putting two feet on each one? No, she thought that you used your left foot on the brake

and your right foot on the accelerator. No, I've been teaching her. No, that's no. I thought that at first, but then I got told that was wrong. But no, I just didn't know that there was an extra pedal, and that really confused me. Oh, and when you have a manual. When you have a manual, yeah.

But no, I barely know how to drive, and I reckon Indy's probably better than me now. Because I don't know how to back a trailer. I have been given some manual lessons. Oh, okay. Yeah. Stalled it two times, got it on the third. Oh, yeah.

The gears are old and a little bit sloppy, so if you can find the gears in there, you'll be able to find them in any manual. It's a legal loophole, isn't it, when you're on private property? Yeah. Well, it's not even a legal loophole. It's your property. Yeah.

Okay, that's normal. No, that's normal. My granddad had a farm truck, and it was farm registered, so it wasn't allowed to be ever further away than five kilometers from the farm or anything because the registration's real cheap, but it meant it could just zip around the roads. So could you take it into town if town was within five kilometres? Yes, you could. Oh, yeah, okay.

Yeah, but he was just outside. Why are these farmers in their tax bloody loopholes? They love a tax loophole, don't they? A lot of tax loophole. A cheaper ridge. Yeah. It's good to practice because backing a trailer, I always get embarrassed.

I'm not good at all. And once I stuff it up, I can't recover. You know what know what i mean like i can't i just get so flustered i can't do it either if it stuffs up you've just got to pull forward till it's straight and start again yeah that's the rule with backing a trailer she's been doing that not in a car she's been doing that on a lawnmower which is harder in some ways yeah because it's a shorter trailer but i was like yeah you go that way and the trailer will push that way. And then I just kind of left her to it. To figure out.

I said, you do as many mistakes as you want. Yeah. And now she can back a trailer. This is great. That's so good. Great skill to have. Then you're about to get her a car and you're not going to have to go pack her up all the time.

and then they see who's driving it and they're like hello I know and they see me get out and they're like look at the legs

on that thing I mean it was just a whole thing it's a whole situation to behold. So you're back in the trailer, tick. Right, she's doing it. I don't even think I can do that.

No, it's so difficult. I don't think I've ever had to or done it. Yeah, but that's the thing. If you haven't done it, it is hard, but it's one of those things. Yeah. You don't know until you try. Yeah, you don't. That's a beautiful sentiment.
