Starting point is 00:00:00 From the ZDM podcast network, it's Fletchfallen and Haley's Little Bit of Pod. Welcome to A Little Bit of Pod. Producer Shannon's in. Yes. And the crock potting continues. Yeah. You've recently got a crock pot because you're sucking a lot of food at the moment for health reasons. Yeah, and also just it felt like time.
Starting point is 00:00:22 My frontal lobes developed and it felt like, okay, time to croc. That's how I celebrated my frontal lobe developing as well. describing you to someone but only wasn't including an age and I said you crocheted and you love a crock pot and you watch World War II documentaries and her lover is a magician. Yeah, someone would assume you
Starting point is 00:00:40 were in a retirement home. Yeah. And the nicest possible way. Yeah, no, that's... And she can't eat solids. Well, I've made a new recipe in the crock pot. So, the first one I did was... Shannon's recipes.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Oh no. I don't... Well, Carwin just, I just was eating it out in the booth. and Karwin, I told her what it was, and she said, oh, really? So I don't think that was good. Jingle redacted. Wait, are you following proper recipes, like online, or are you freestyling here? Kind of freestalling. So I used, it's wild for the first time owning a crock pot.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I have never cooked chicken thighs before, but you guys always go on about them. The best part of the best. Yeah, so I was like, well, maybe the crop pots the time to do it. So I like, I like a good sear on a thigh first, though. But if you're going to use any chicken in a crop pot, you use a breast because it's better in a crop pot because it's not dry. Yeah, yeah, I think so. Well, I cooked my first chicken thigh. And it's quite scary with the crockpot, the game of not giving yourself salmonella, but also not making it mush.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Yeah, you don't want it wet. Yeah. So I was cooking a pesto pasta, pesto in quotations. Well, yeah, so I did look this part up. I said, can I put pasta in there? And everyone said, yes, the last 30 minutes. You could put a nookie in it. So I put some little nookie
Starting point is 00:01:58 And that might actually not be bad I did it all for the yuki It was perfect because 30 minutes to go All my chicken had shredded And it kind of had a little bit of You know the wetness Are we using the dairy chicken? The chicken from the dairy
Starting point is 00:02:11 Or did you supermarket? I only eat chicken She doesn't go to the supermarket It's so much cheaper So there's thighs and the dairy as well Yeah There's mince There's drumsticks
Starting point is 00:02:21 There's steak sometimes I bet they've got sizzlers I bet they've got sizzlers Ham with cheese in the middle But it's genuinely so much cheaper in the supermarket. Yeah, probably. I brought some chicken yesterday at the supermarket.
Starting point is 00:02:29 It was astronomical. But it always expires the next day, but that's fine. I am the next, like, you are the next day? Do you think the dairy is buying the reduced to clear chicken from the supermarket, rebadging it as one that, yeah. As fresh. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:44 But I think the crop pots the way for me to go now. But hangar, what did you put in? Okay, so I put a thing. Chicken pies. Yeah, pesto. Pottle of pesto. Cream cheese. Okay, yep.
Starting point is 00:02:53 And then an onion. That's fine. That's fine. And then no key. And was it good? Rocky in the last guys. Yeah, it was great. Like, I mean, like, I don't have great taste buds and I'm not good at cooking.
Starting point is 00:03:02 No. But, like, I mean, I ate it and, like, I just ate a bowl of it now and it re-heated good. Okay. This is good. You're not doing. You're doing really well. You're doing really well in adulting. How many days will this one-day-old chicken last you?
Starting point is 00:03:15 I've got six servings out of it. Okay, so that's six days over. Do you know what I mean? No, no, three, because I eat at lunch and dinner. I ate the same thing for lunch and dinner. Oh, okay, okay. I just three days. I just pick something.
Starting point is 00:03:25 But it's been cooked. Yeah, it's cooked. It's reheating that's the roll of the dice. Yeah. You've got to make that thing hot. Oh, that's fine. I didn't grow up with a microwave, so I just blitz it for ages. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Get it really hot, and then I just wait for it to cool down. Well, really, I think we're really proud of you. Yeah, we are actually. Yeah. Yeah. Very proud. Yeah, good. Yeah, proud all round.
Starting point is 00:03:44 She's out there living. She's, she, you know what? She's not dead.
