Starting point is 00:00:00 From the Zedium Podcast Network, it's Fletchhorn and Haley's Little Bit of Pod. Welcome to A Little Bit of Pod. Wow, Shannon's not the only one with hacks. Vaughn came in this morning. Guys, God, I invented a pizza hack class. Yeah, I did this. Real pizza hacks. Stand by, prepare to have your socks blown off.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Really? Okay. Here's what happened. Okay. Went to buy a Hawaiian pizza. Yeah. And I've said, 2025, with everything that's happened, I've come out of the clock. it and said, I'm no longer ashamed
Starting point is 00:00:32 to say, I love a big bit of juicy pineapple on top of the ham and cheese pizza. Yeah, man. Do you know what? I'm here for, I'm here for pineapple and stir fries, burgers, pizzas. Oh, my God. Pinaple on burgers rules. Chicken, chicken pineapple. There was a bit of bacon and a slough on this one. Pineapple and a stir fry can't be beaten.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Little like, because you're sort of in the spicy land and then suddenly sweet. When we, could we treat pineapples a bit more like pickles? Could we, could we, could we, could we, like, put pickle on my pizza? Oh yeah, I bought pickle on everything Yeah, yeah, yeah We buy the same pickles
Starting point is 00:01:03 Every week at the supermarket I'm gonna get two jars Without a doubt every week, two jars Are they the sweet and our yellow ones? They're just the cheapies All the Dalman cheapies They're so great And the jars
Starting point is 00:01:14 God, I've got 10,000 of those jars Because I'm gonna use them one day I'm gonna put nails in preserves I'll put nails in the garage Oh no I wouldn't put nails in a glass jar Personally Oh, I've got nails in glass jars I'd use a Jimbo's container for a nail
Starting point is 00:01:25 For a house Oh my plastic Half food container Right But here's what happened I went to buy it I'm going to buy a pizza at the supermarket. Not frozen.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Like the ones that they make in store. The pizza make, they get made in store. They are good at our supermarket. They are good at our supermarkets. We've got a really good, can we just. We've got a really good like deli section in our supermarket. And they make sandwiches and it's just like ham cheese sandwich. You buy it.
Starting point is 00:01:47 It's a leet. That's a hot bun on the go. They got samosa. Oh, you're good. Okay. You could go in there if you're a tradie in the area. Chicken, samosa. Shout out new world cum you.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Yeah. Shout out new world. But I'm about to tell you how to hack their pizza system. Okay. They had a Hawaiian pizza at $23 for a big Hawaiian pizza. They're massive too. Pretty big, pretty massive. They would feed you two people easy.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Okay. So, and it was $22. And then I was like, oh, that's a little expending on the side of things. They had a cheese pizza, exactly the same size, more cheese and the tomato base on it for 14. Okay. So in my head, I'm like, at home, I've got a tin of pineapples. I'm going to be able to load this thing up with pineapple The one that Hawaiian
Starting point is 00:02:32 I will say it and you will give you you were a little skinned on the pineapple Okay So I had a whole ten of pineapple You don't get a shout out without any criticisms Well no I'm not going to bullshit you They're not paying for this So I can't just blindly and commercially say they're flawless No
Starting point is 00:02:45 Which I am open to that If you pay me I'm open to Oh yeah All the positives remain all the negatives get go Perfect product Perfect product If you pay me
Starting point is 00:02:55 Yep If you pay me So So, and I think, and I look across at the deli and it's stocked with thick sliced champagne ham. They do a good ham there. Okay. So I'm like, I look at that price it a little bit of, a bit of maths in my head. I buy $3 worth of ham, which turns out to be like three big fat slices of ham.
Starting point is 00:03:14 So we're at $25. No, no. So you've gone to $14. Yeah, so I'm at $17 because I got pineapple at home. So I take that, I take the cheese pizza, I take the ham. I'm checking out for $7.000. teen. I get home. Let's say you had to buy the pineapple. If we're going to do honest math. Oh, wait. Puggerall. A couple of bucks.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Because I won't pay for the burjie brand on a tin of pineapple because they're all the same thing. It's all the same stuff. 19. We're at 19. 19. 19. Get home. Load it. Like, loaded up. And I've got a bit of cheese. I've got a bit of extra parmesan or regarano. Oh, yeah. Picking about in the fridge. So that gets a great on top. Add a bit more cheese. And loaded. Nah. There's a tomato base, Haley. No, but you know what I mean? Sometimes you're like, if you had a caps, a red onion or something. Yeah, but this was just to be Hawaiian in its most Hawaiian form.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Because usually I'll get a couple of pizzas and we'll do like a basic Hawaiian and then we'll chuck some pickles, as you say, and some of the different bits of pieces on there. And I always overload it, make it impossible to cut. Well, you're on top and slide off. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, so your hack is buying a pizza from the supermarket and just adding a couple of things. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Because I'll say... Specifically the Hawaiian pizza. Right. But now you've got cheese on the bottom. I've got cheese on the bottom. And more on the top. Because now we're already at 19 and then now you've added. I've added parmesan, which is not cheap.
Starting point is 00:04:28 But I already had it. So technically, it's still a cost. It was a leftover. It was bought for a different purpose. So I put the cost on the other recipe. So what you've done are you've saved 20 bucks. You've saved $2. Yeah, but I've got way more on the top of the pizza.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Okay. But it was a way more loaded. Like the pineapple was everywhere. At the time, you haven't included labor. You're getting to that part where you take it out and it's cold because you've got so many toppings. Yeah. The bottom hasn't been able to reach the heat.
Starting point is 00:04:53 No, that's a good thing about the thin bases. Oh, they'll heat. They crisp bumping. Well, if it was a Shannon's hack, I might give you two. One and a half, two. If I was Shannon's hacking you right now, it's a two. It's not revolutionary, and you didn't actually save that much money at all. Shannon actually looks quite upset that we've given you a high...
Starting point is 00:05:09 She's pissed off. I think if it was Shannon giving us a hack, it would give her a one. Yeah, actually, it's a Shannon's one, but it's a Vaughn two.
