Callie. Callie said, speaking of your name, this was the other day we were talking about names that you hate. Yes. Changing your name. Changing your name. She heard that and she said, well, look, speaking of your name, I'm reading a new book from the author of Flashman Is In Trouble.

Oh, yes. Main character energy. That was a cool TV series. I didn't read the book. I watched the TV series. Now, this is the, I believe this is, yeah, the synopsis for- Taffy Brodesseracna is the- Yeah, this is the synopsis for the book.

In 1980, a wealthy business name a businessman named carl fletcher is kidnapped from his driveway in the nicest part of the nicest part of long island he is brutalized held for ransom and then returned to his family miraculously i'm gonna call him fletch yes this is how we would call him uh miraculously fletch wife, and three kids are left to move on with their lives and resume their prized places in the ongoing saga of the American dream. Oh! So, Fleischman is in trouble to have Jesse Eisenberg in it. And Claire Danes?

Yeah, and Claire Danes and stuff. And Adam Brody was in that before he wooed everybody as the rabbi. I think they've changed the names of the characters. Because on the actual show, there isn't a character called Carl Fletcher. No, no, no. It's from the author. Her new book called Long Island Compromise. His or her? Her.

Her. Okay. So what happens to this character 40 years later? My mother dies. The trauma that's been bubbling beneath the Fletchers' lives all this time surfaces at last, and it becomes quite apparent that Fletch has been quietly pursuing closure for the kidnapping all these years later. Oh, my gosh. Sorry, I thought that was the book that you were in.

No, Fleischman is in Trouble is an amazing book slash TV series for people who are sort of entering their 40s because it's about how when you're in your 40s. Oh, that's not me. I don't need to watch that for years. You're not the same person you were in your 20s. And so many people get married in their 20s. And then when they're 40, they're like,

this isn't, I'm not the same person. That isn't the same person. Like, we should be able to, you know, sleep with other people. We should be able to just open things up

and change the structure of our relationship. Some people never got married, some people remain single, some people are already divorced. It was just, I felt like it was perfectly targeted

at people kind of my age. the main character is mine. It's like that policeman in, is it Taranaki? He's always in the news about search and rescue. Vaughan. It's like that policeman. Is it Taranaki? He's always in the news about search and rescue. Vaughan Smith. There's a policeman.

Is there? Search and rescue. And he'll be like, yeah, we found the trampers up on the hill. And it's like, Vaughan Smith said. And it's like. There's a Hayley Sproul, but she's no one. She lives in Scotland. That's it.

There's not that many others. There were. There are some other Vaughan Smiths. There was a Vaughan Smith that ran for the ACT Party in Wellington Central a few elections ago. That's right. And I had a famous footballer. Yeah. Like semi.
